Meghan Markle and actress Priyanka Chopra have been friends for years now, long before the Duchess of Sussex married Prince Harry and became the most talked about woman on the planet

Now, three months after Meghan and Harry tied the knot, Priyanka and boyfriend Nick Jonas are engaged, confirming the news on Instagram

According to US Weekly, Nick and Priyanka enjoyed a double date with the Duke and Duchess during a visit to the UK earlier in July, around the time the pair are said to have got engaged

With Priyanka and Joe set to wed, is there a possibility the actress will turn to best friend Meghan to be a bridesmaid? And if so, is the Duchess allowed to take on this role? According to Royal Reporter Omid Scobie, she technically is, but things are a little more complex in real life

Amid told Cosmopolitan: "There is no protocol that dictates whether an adult female member of the British Royal Family can take on the role of a bridesmaid or maid of honor at a non-royal's wedding

" However, he added: "[But] it is an unlikely scenario for one simple reason: A female royal would not be expected to walk behind a 'commoner

' This is why in the past we saw Pippa Middleton as Duchess Kate's maid of honor, but when Pippa got married Kate read a prayer

" In other words, Meghan can be Priyanka's bridesmaid if she wants and doesn't need to ask another member of the royal family for their blessing

"It would be her own decision," he explains. However, there is the other issue that – being one of the most famous women in the world – Meghan is bound to draw attention to herself

Omid notes this being an issue, saying: "There's also the risk of taking all the attention off the bride herself! In June, all eyes were on Sweden's Princess Madeleine instead of her close childhood friend getting married when she served as a bridesmaid

" When Pippa Middleton got married in 2017, Kate Middleton – the Duchess of Cambridge – was not Pippa's bridesmaid

In this instance, the decision to not be a bridesmaid was said to be down to etiquette

Judy Wade, Royal author told People: "Kate would upstage her sister. It's a tricky situation for Pippa

"She would want her sister by her side, as who else would she trust to make things go well? "But if your sister is a future Queen, she is going to upstage the bride and draw attention

"Kate would want to be in the background as much as possible."

Adventure Time Continues With Season 11 Comic...But It's NOT CANON - Duration: 2:48.

Hello lords and ladies.

Welcome

back to Cartoon Hangout, your place for all things cartoon.

So.

Adventure Time is over.

I should probably FEEL something but I stopped watching the show religiously years ago.

It's been so long that I don't even recall why.

Yes, I did attempt to review the series on this channel, but you'll know that I quit

doing that, as well.

And the very notion of trying to catch up to watch recent episodes was honestly too

daunting a task, what with everything else I have going on.

Maybe when the dust has cleared in a few years, I'll go back and actually finish the series

and do some reviews.

That could be nice.

For you lords and ladies, though, I imagine it's a bittersweet feeling.

The show's had a lot of ups and downs, now it's finished.

There will always be the re-runs, but it won't be the same.

I suppose it's lucky then that BOOM Studio announced back in July that they're releasing

a Season 11 line of Adventure Time comics!

Oh my, and they pick up after the events of the series finale?

Whoa, that's aweso--wait, what's this from showrunner Adam Muto?

I see, so they're NOT canon, don't involve anyone on the show and calling it season 11

is a stretch.

So what I'm getting from this is that the comic company just wanted to keep making as

much money from Adventure Time fans as possible for as long as they could and thus called

it season 11 to capitalize on the ending.

Gotcha.

Well that sucks.

Unless you could give a crap about whether the events are canon or involve the show's

team at all because you're desperate for more content.

that's possible, too.

But I would imagine that the comic not being canon is a big blow for that series.

I would not be surprised if it didn't perform well once that info gets out.

Which it might not, if Boom really wants your dollar.

Cause I'm not seeing many people spread this little info around.

Oh well, then.

What better way to test your compatibility than with babies … right? Tuesday night's episode of Bachelor in Paradise saw the return of veteran couples Jade and Tanner Tolbert and Carly Waddell and Evan Bass to hand out a highly-coveted date card

"They are people who actually made Paradise happen," says Kendall Long. "I think it's seeing couples like that that allows me to think no matter what kind of story you have here and how you get to that point, love can be found here

" After interviewing each couple to determine who deserves the date, the group decides on Long and Joe Amabile

But this wasn't just any typical Paradise date. "So we have prepared the most exciting, glorious, epic date in Bachelor in Paradise history," explains Bass

"Unfortunately, you both will not be going on this date," adds Waddell. "We are going on this date because we need Mommy and Daddy breaks! So you both will be babysitting our babies

" And while Jade and Tanner's daughter Emerson Avery took a while to warm up to Amabile (queue an hour of crying), the couple proved that they could handle a couple of toddlers together

The experience brought Amabile and Long closer together. "This is a new side of Kendall I haven't seen before," says Amabile

"I can see Kendall being a good mother one day. It really makes you think a lot about the future and how serious this whole Paradise experience could turn out to be

" "It was cute to see Joe with the kids," adds Long. "It could be a glimpse into our future

" As an award for successfully taking care of the babies, Long and Amabile finally get their date

While sitting beachside and sipping cocktails, the two decided to be exclusive. "You're the only person I want to date," says Amabile

"I really like you." A Sudden Goodbye But while Long and Amabile are happier than ever, Eric Bigger begins to crumble

After sending Angela Amezcua on Monday following a date with Cassandra Ferguson, Bigger begins to question his place in Paradise

Bigger tells Ferguson he just wants to be friends — which leaves her feeling pretty confused

"Everyone is coupled up and it's kind of hard to see how happy they are," she says

"Eric and I have this really weird thing going on. I keep trying to show him signs that I'm interested on my end and I just feel like he's not reciprocating those feelings

" And when Ferguson tells Bigger she doesn't think he's ready to fall in love, it sends him spiraling

"This is the first time in my life that I really want a relationship but that doesn't mean I'm really ready," he says

"I've been looking for the answers and I don't know what to do." Bigger confides in Kevin Wendt that he's feeling conflicted about his place in Paradise

"I'm emotionally drained from the Angela situation. It isn't fair to Cassandra that she had to come into that

She got pulled into my mess," he says. "I don't want to give Cassandra half of me

" Ultimately, Bigger decides to leave Paradise. "I'm emotionally drained," he says as he begins to cry

"The best decision is just to leave Paradise and move on." After breaking the news to Ferguson (who handles it extremely well), he says goodbye to the rest of the group — much to their protest

"I'm emotionally just done," he says. "I can no longer be here if I'm not fully myself

" Lucky in Love And with Bigger gone, the couples begin to evaluate where they are on their own relationships

After getting a surprise date card, Chris Randone decides its time to tell Krystal Nielson how he's really feeling

"Seeing Eric leave really shed light on how I feel about Krystal," he says. "I can honestly say I feel lucky as hell right now

I feel like I hit the Bachelor in Paradise lottery." The two set out for a romantic candle-lit dinner, where Randone tells Nielson those three special words

"I know not too long ago I expressed to you that I was starting to fall in love with you," he says

"Since then there has been nothing but amazing memories, amazing conversations and being here right now, sitting across from you I can honestly say that … " But just as he's about to express his love, a huge raccoon runs by and ruins the moment

Luckily, Randone is able to recover. "This whole experience so far has really changed me in a lot of ways," he says

"I'm not actually beginning to fall in love with you, I am in love with you." "I'm in love with you, too," replies Nielson

A Russian Witch Hunt Back at the house, things are getting heated between Shushanna Mkrtychyan and Annaliese Puccini

Even after Kamil Nicalek decided to give his rose to Puccini in Monday night's episode, Mkrtychyan can't seem to let go of her feelings for Nicalek after their date

"I always catch Shu staring at me," says Nicalek. "It's like an owl. I told Shu there's no connection there, I don't like her

I'm trying to be clear to her but she keeps staring at me with those piercing eyes, and it's creepy

" It doesn't help when Mkrtychyan denies a date card from Jordan Mauger in order to try and get closer to Nicalek

But again, Nicalek makes his feelings clear. "You're a great girl, I just don't feel there's a connection," he tells her

"It's not there between us. There is no spark. I can't see it work between us." And when Nicalek jokes that Mkrtychyan is using her "Russian witchery" to break up him and Puccini, rumors about her potential spell-casting powers run wild on the island

Fed up with the whole situation, Puccini accuses Mkrtychyan of practicing dark magic during a heated discussion

"You're doing like witchcraft and stuff trying to put spells on us to break us up," she says

Naturally, this upsets Mkrtychyan. "First I'm European trash and now I'm a witch," she says crying

"I'm so over it." "Call me a bitch but don't call me a witch," she adds. Later, she's seen throwing a photo of Nicalek into a bonfire she'd made for Mauger, who she suddenly decided she did have feelings for once he was on a date with another woman

And when he too rejects her, she flings herself on a bed and bursts into tears. Bachelor in Paradise airs Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC at 8 p

m. ET.

Never one to like being left out of the limelight, former President Barack Obama wants to hit

the campaign trails yet again for Democrats running in the 2018 midterm elections.

Except some of them have simply said…"no thanks"…as it seems not all Democrats

are exactly enthusiastic about Obama joining their team.

Many Democrats that are running in states where President Donald Trump won by double

digits in the 2016 presidential election would honestly rather have Obama just stay far,

far away taking the taint of his own administration and that of the Clintons with him.

Senator John Tester of Montana, Senator Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, and Senator Joe

Manchin of West Virginia, all Democrats are not on Obama's list and they are grateful.

They are not asking for help from the Democratic Party either.

Tester himself spoke out stating – "We're not going to use any surrogates.

Surrogates are fine but we don't need them.

The race is myself and Matt Rosendale and that's the way we want to keep it."

Rosendale is Tester's GOP challenger.

All three are considered red-state Democrats who are frequently known to caucus with Republicans

on key issues that impact blue-collar workers.

Both Heitkamp and Manchin have shown themselves to be good friends to the current Trump administration

often siding with the President even when it is unpopular with the party to do so.

Both are reportedly planning to cast a "yes" vote for Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh

amid the obstructionist antics of other Democrats as they attempt to make a circus of the nomination

process.

When Heitkamp was asked if she thought Obama might show up to assist her in her own re-election

bid, she said – "Nope, no.

He threatened to campaign against me once so I don't think he's coming out there."

The Hill reports while the former president remains extremely popular with the Democratic

base, especially among African-American voters, Democrats fear his entrance into some battleground

states could inadvertently rev up conservatives and pro-Trump voters.

"Trump wants nothing more than a foil.

He knows he can activate the other side," said a source familiar with Obama's thinking.

The former president is "going to be involved this fall in a very Obamaesque, smart way,"

the source added.

Democrats say that one way Obama can have a big impact on races is by urging infrequent

voters to show up to the polls in November, something that will be a major theme of the

former president's speech on Friday.

"He will echo his call to reject the rising strain of authoritarian politics and policies.

And he will preview arguments he'll make this fall, specifically that Americans must

not fall victim to our own apathy by refusing to do the most fundamental thing demanded

of us as citizens: vote," said Obama communications director Katie Hill.

It seems Obama is carefully selecting just where to interject his specific brand of double-talking

politicalized jargon.

He does not want to position himself in a way that will work to President Trump's

benefit, choosing instead to speak out against the "rising strain of authoritarian politics

and policies" and "redistricting."
