Ledge teching is a technique that allows players to survive moves performed near the ledge

by teching against the stage.

Being able to consistently perform ledge techs dramatically increases a player's survivability.

To ledge tech, you must press L or R within a 20 frame window before being hit.

If you press L or R in this window, you'll do a basic wall tech.

If you press X, Y, or up on the control stick while doing this,

you'll perform a wall jump tech instead.

You can act out of a ledge tech with any move you'd normally be able to do in the air,

such as recovery moves, aerials, and airdodging.

With some characters, a wall jump tech will send them too far away from the stage to recover.

With these characters an aerial move should always be performed,

as this will allow you to drift back to the stage sooner.

To make ledge teching more consistent, players should Smash DI towards the stage when hit.

Because Smash DI moves your character, it can be used to bring you in contact with the

stage when you're further away.

One of the best ways to practice ledge teching is with Uncle Punch's training mode.

There's more information on that in the description below.

How to make your customers trust and give you the order - Duration: 8:28.

Happy Friday everybody

so today it's

Half time gone halfway, we are through

There are six weeks behind us and six weeks in front of us. So I encourage you all to

just reflect maybe to some course correction and

Continue to achieve your goals. I

Had did some course corrections as well. I

Was not really pleased as I mentioned. So this week I was just three weeks three times two

To the gym for cardio workout. So that has to become one one time better

so I need I my plan is to go four times to the gym and I will also

Put in some a proteins to strengthen my abs. I will follow

Dance video that he should on his site this morning in facebook. It's about

three sets of planks

Planks are killing, but I know that this is what I need to do. I somehow always try to

avoid

Avoid them and that's not good. I know it's so definitely something that I have to look into

Business side. I just want to share some

Two things which happened to me today one of our it's not a competitor of ours

but it's also a German machine manufacturer in in the media industry but not competition a family-owned business and

It's now in third generation and it was announced today that

An American holding has taken over

so they say this company has been sold, but we know them and

Our intention is and I think it's it's really that they have sold themselves

So some people in in our

in our business

branch

were not really happy because it's a family-owned business and they were doing extremely well and

We got the impression that they just

Don't want to do the business anymore not passionate about it anymore

I don't want to judge that I was just thinking of my own business now that I'm creating

If I create something and I give everything I put my whole heart in there and it's my baby

And I'm passionate about it. Never ever would I

love to sell that it will always be a part of me and

I was just thinking about that to really give everything and make it make it my own and be proud

proud of it and

Do everything to to let it grow

Another thing that happened to me today. I

saw the machine to a big company in in Dubai in UAE and

I have an agent they are not exclusively but

This customer he I know him for many years now and

last November I met him in Dubai at the exhibition and he approached the stand of

that agent that I am doing some business with and I

introduced the agent to this company

But as it is always people buy from people who they like know and trust

So he this customer approached me just

Three four months ago and he said, you know what? I want that machine and don't ask me to buy it through the agent

I want to buy it from you

I've spent I spent an Horne whole afternoon with him

I was he remember I had a taxi driver and I just gave him the location and

in in UAE

GPS is not really working so they have to send you a road map and

Somehow you have to navigate to that to that place and the taxi driver was completely lost because it was a new industrial

area so

The purchasing director there, which I'm talking about. I don't know he's French

He was really patient with me because I'm German and I love my punctuality. So I was exactly 45 minutes late

that was a disaster, but we had a nice talk and I

yeah, so we build up a nice relationship that was

Nice at a nice afternoon. And so that is the reason why he bought the machine from me

So today we had to call this agent and tell him that the machine was bought the machines paid

The machine is on the boat. The machine is going to arrive

In the next two or three weeks and he's going to get a commission out of that. So he said I don't understand that

I don't

understand that I

met him and I think I have such a good relationship and I was just thinking

The relationship was probably not good enough and it's not about the pricing because I'm not cheap

He just I think they just didn't resonate this. This agent is a bit pushy and

So I knew was not really too pleased with him and he didn't want to buy from him

so my takeaway from that is that people always buy from people who they know like and trust and

Yeah, this is

Something that we should always consider when we are building up our own business

Look after your customers look into the comments. If you do a blog post or if you have something on your YouTube channel

Listen exactly what they are saying resonate with them

Follow

Follow them. Where what? What are they doing?

where are they going to if there anything that's of interest to them try to meet them where they are at and

This is yeah. This is what what I wanted to say with people buy from people who they know like and trust I am I

experienced that quite often and I

Can do that because I'm not

exclusively represented and I would never ever

risk a

Business just to protect the agent. He will get some Commission

Anyway, he will he will be with us when we make the installation of the machine at the commissioning

He would be the partner who is servicing it and there's a lot of margin and money to be made in after sales service

Yeah

Sometimes I think it would be nice to just be with these guys when they are

In a meeting in a sales meeting communicating with customers. I

think I'm pretty good in that and sometimes I just say it's

Unbelievable how how many mistakes they make small things that they just do not respect

And it's so easy. Just look around in this guy's office or

See what's on his desk?

If you just get five minutes or even two or three minutes

you can see what is his interest and you have so many points to

to connect with him and this is what we can do in the online world as well if we get any feedback just

Hold on to that

Stick to that

try to give more value to the one who is responding to you and

And they will follow you and they will bye

Yeah, that was my share for today. So

again

My fellow challengers go

For the second half I can't wait to see all your videos. It's so uplifting and also your

Comments and your support when I'm feeling a bit down, but I had a huge crate breakthrough two days ago as I mentioned

So I'm full of enthusiasm as' and I'm going to the gym right now. I've already

geared up and

Another round to sweat to come closer to my goal

so I wish you all a wonderful weekend and

Talk to you tomorrow

Love y'all

How to Fish: Brian Chan's Tackle Box Essentials | GoFishBC - Duration: 5:21.

There are certain things you need in your tackle box to make life that much easier when

you're on the lake.

We only have a certain amount of time to go fishing so we want to maximise our enjoyment

while we're on the water.

So here is some basic equipment you need in your tackle box in order to have a nicer day

on the water.

First thing you need is a pair of polarized sunglasses.

Wearing a pair of polarized sunglasses allows you to look into the water, cuts the glare

so you can see fish swimming around, you can see bugs coming up through the water column.

And then you've got a little aquarium net that you can dip bugs out of the water with

and see what they are in terms of what species they are, what size they are, what colour

run conditions they're in.

So, you can dip them up and then you can put them in a little vial; a glass vial full of

water.

You can look at them, then you can go to your fly box and you can match the size and colour

of the bug that's actually coming up.

So a little aquarium net, a little vial; really valuable.

And then you need a pair of nippers.

I've got several of them in my box.

I always misplace them.

This ones on a little floaty so if I drop it over the side of the boat I won't lose

it.

That's how you're going to trim your knots when you're changing flies all day long.

This is a pair of hemostats.

So these are basically a pair of surgical pliers.

A pair of hemostats are good for if you hook a fish on the tongue or deeper in the mouth

you don't want to be sticking your fingers in there because you're going to damage the

gills or the gill rakers, so you're just going to stick this in there gently, lock it on

the fly, give it a quarter twist, and back that fly out.

So, very handy for getting a fly out that's deeper; if its hooked deeper in the mouth.

Never leave home without sunblock, especially if you're fishing a lot in the interior.

It's already cooking out here today.

Good rule of thumb: put it on before you get out on the water.

That way you don't forget.

You need to reapply during the day.

When I'm fishing in really hot weather I'll put this hat on which has this... well, it's

kind of a dorky looking hat but it covers your back, your neck and it provides side

shade so you can better see and not get that bright sunlight coming in the side and the

corner of your eyes as well.

It's also got a black underside to reduce the glare as well.

Real handy to have.

I carry a digital thermometer with me which is always cool to have.

I like to know the water temperature.

I always take the temperature of the water when I'm fishing because, as I've mentioned

earlier in a number of these tips, everything in lakes is driven by water temperature so

I like to know what the temperature is.

So, I just dip this in the water for like 15 seconds and it'll read in celsius and farenheit

and tell you exactly what the temperature is, and I record this in my diary.

Then obviously you have your mulitple boxes of flies.

You can't have just one box of flies.

But here's a little foam fly box that's got a centre leaf so I can put flies on both sides

of it.

I try to keep it organized.

It's probably a good idea to have a box just with chironomids in it, just leeches in it...

this didn't work out for me this time round.

It's a mix-mash in there.

And, finally, a really valuable tool used properly is a throat pump.

They're sold as stomach pumps but you're only sampling the oesophagus, the throat of the

fish, becasue you want to sample live food items.

Which help you match the hatch.

I know whether they're mayflys, chironomids, damselflfies, small leeches, shrimp, zooplankton..

what the fish are feeding are on, and they're all going to be live.

You're not jamming this down in the stomach as everything down there will be dead in digestive

juices.. it's the oesophagus, so watch the tip in this series on how to use a throat

pump properly and this can be a valuable tool.

And I use that in conjunction..

I get a throat sample with a water vial. .. get some water in a vial and then squirt the sample

out of the throat pump.

And then I've got finally I've got my different spare spools, spare lines that I could switch

on my different rods depending on what line, what different density of sinking line I need.

That way that covers everything.

The essential box that you need and have a great day out on the water.

How BIG is Google? - Duration: 10:01.

how many times do we say google it when

we don't find the answers we are looking for.

People believe that if something

doesn't exist on Google it doesn't exist at all.

today almost everyone uses Google

from its search engine and YouTube to

the Android smartphones that use them.

apart from being a massively successful

company Google has its own simple style

of keeping itself apart from the crowd.

google has always done things a little

bit differently and that works to keep

things fresh, immersive and consistently progressive.

it has collected digitized

arranged and presented more information

than any company in history.

today it has a market value of 739 billion US dollars

Google's revenue amounted to one hundred

and nine point six five billion US

dollars in 2017 which is more than

combined revenue of Disney and Facebook

according to Fortune 500 list.

let's dive deeper into how big it is and how

it all began. the story of Google begins

in 1995 at Stanford University.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin met at Stanford

when Brin was asked to show page who was

a new student around the school. by some

accounts they disagreed about nearly

everything during that first meeting but

by the following year they struck a

partnership. working from their dorm

rooms they built a search engine that

used PageRank algorithm to determine the

importance of individual pages on the

World Wide Web. their mission was to

organize the world's information and

make it universally accessible and

useful. they called this search engine

back rub. Larry and Sergey later decided

the name of their search engine needed

to change and decided upon Google which

is inspired from the term

Googol which means one with a hundred

zeros following it. in August 1998 sun

co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim wrote Larry

and Sergey a check for a hundred

thousand and Google Inc was officially

born. with this investment the newly

incorporated team made the upgrade from

the dorms to their first office a garage

in suburban Menlo Park California owned

by Susan Wojcicki who was the

sixteenth employee of Google and now CEO

of YouTube. the picture shown here is a

capture of the site from the Internet

Archive of what Google looked like in

1998. in February 1999 Google got its

first real office in Palo Alto

California. later in the year they moved

to Mountain View California. in July 2001

Google Images launched with 250 million

searchable images. after that in August

2001 Eric Schmidt becomes CEO while page

became president of products and Brin

became president of Technology. the early

days of Google were not super glamorous

Schmidt told LinkedIn co-founder Reed

Hoffman

during an interview that the former CEOs

first office at the company was an 8 by

12 foot space that he shared with the

companies then VP of engineering Amit

Singhal. an interesting thing to know is

that since the founders Larry and Sergey

weren't looking to start their own

business, they tried to sell their search

engine system to Yahoo. Yahoo originally

said no but in 2002 offered to buy

Google for 3 billion but this time

Google said no. later in the year 2003

Google acquired pyra Labs creators of

blogger. after that in March 2004 Google

moved its headquarters in to the

Googleplex Mountain View California.

in the same year Gmail launched on April

Fool's Day despite it being a real email service.

in the years that followed the company

expanded rapidly hiring engineers

building a sales team and much more.

the spirit of doing things differently made the move.

we encourage our employees to

spend 20% of their time working on

whatever they're interested in not what

their boss wants them to work on. out of

that most of our great new products have come.

in August 19 2004 Google conducted

an initial public offering on NASDAQ the

offering raised about 1.2 billion for

the company. when it went public Google

was valued as much as General Motors.

later in February 2005 Google Maps

launched. in the same year they also

released Google Earth allowing users to

view satellite imagery of any place in

the world.

in October 2006 Google acquired YouTube

for 1.65 billion and launched Google

Docs- an online application for creating

documents. after that in November 2007

Google launched Android OS an

open-source mobile device platform.

later in September 2008 the g1 the first

Android phone was unveiled by t-mobile (htc)

in the same year in September second

Google Chrome was launched. after that in

April 4th 2011 page resumed CEO title

after ten years away while Schmidt

became executive chairman on April 4th

2012 Google unveils Project Glass an

initiative to develop a wearable device

the device later debuts as Google glass.

in August 10th 2015 google announces a

corporate restructuring forming an

umbrella company called alphabet and

naming sundar pichai as the new CEO to

the core business of Google. co-founders

page and Brin will run alphabet with

page as CEO and brain as president.

In october 2nd 2015 the company announces

that its restructuring will happen at

the end of the day, alphabet will become

the parent company of separate smaller

companies one of which is Google.

today with more than 85,000 plus

employees in 50 different countries

Google currently owns more than 250 plus

companies which includes nest labs

deepmind

AdMob and Motorola. an interesting thing

to know is Google's acquiring on an

average one company every week.

the relentless search for better answers

continues to be at the core of

everything Google does. in 2017 Google

earned one of the highest tech company

revenues with roughly 110 billion u.s.

dollars. the advertising revenue was

ninety five point four billion dollars

which is more than combined prime-time

advertising revenues of Fox ABC, NBC and

CBS. as of May 2018 search market leader

Google had a market value of 739 billion

US dollars. despite the vast scope of

Google products the company still

collects the majority of its revenue

through online advertising on Google

Sites and Google Network websites.

google is the undisputed champion when

it comes to discovering risks associated

with their core business and

neutralizing them either by acquisition

or their own development or both.

for example different browsers could block

you from searching on Google com or make

it more difficult to overcome that they

created their own web browser and made

it fast reliable and user-friendly. their

browser now accounts for 60 to 70%

market share in 2017. a second example

Google realized that smartphones are

changing our lives so they acquired

Android inx for 50 million US dollars

early on in 2005. a third example AI and

smarthome is another rising trend

with the potential to change our lives

forever

so they created Google assistant and

smart home concept. they made Google

assistant available for everyone to

implement. it starts with phones and TVs

and will continue to roll out to your

car, fridge, oven, toaster, light bulbs

speakers whatever you can name that's

technologically related.

as such a powerful and ubiquitous company

Google's influence cannot be denied. through web

searches and the usage of its products

Google is able to track the global arms

trade, the spread of disease, censorship

and local crisis successfully. a study

performed shows that a political

candidates ranking and search results

could affect an undecided voters

opinions. with such great power

supposedly comes great responsibility

if information is power in the digital

age then Google has a fair claim to

being the most powerful company in the

world.

How To CHARGE Clients FOR Your VIDEO Work - Duration: 3:54.

Whats up everyone, I'm Izak Jackson and on this week's episode of Tutorial Tuesday, we

are going to be talking about how you can charge for your client video work.

Let's go!

So when I send out my proposals to each of my clients, I like to provide them with a

variety of options.

This gives the client some control and allows them to choose what would work best for their

budget.

By providing these options, it can increase the likeliness that the client will go with

your services.

So for this, I always follow the MoSCoW rule.

Which is, Must have, Should have, Could have.

For example, the client must have a 2-minute short form documentary to go on their website,

and the documentary needs to cover what problems the client faced and how that companies product

helped them to solve that problem.

Next, the client should have some 1-minute short form versions of the documentary that

they can use on social media.

Finally, the client could have some 10-15 second highlight videos that are more shareable

to get the word spread about that product.

By giving them these different options and prices, it gives the client a chance to decide

what works best for them, and it also shows them the value of your work.

So now that you have given the client options, how are you going to go about billing them?

So the first things, and this is what you'll do for the majority of your projects, is you'll

charge on a per-project basis.

For this, I will charge 50% of the project costs upfront, and 50% on delivery.

The reason I do it like that is to help with cash flow at the start of the project.

So for this, you want to charge for everything you do on the project.

Charge for your pre-production, your production & post-production.

Charge for any marketing stuff you do, make sure you charge for rentals.

If you are hiring some other crew, you want to pay their salaries out of that as well.

Also, because you are running a business, you want to be making a profit on this project,

so make sure you add some money on top of that to help make a profit.

When I invoice for the final 50%, I will also add on the costs of any expenses such as travel

and accommodation.

I will keep the receipts to show that client.

The other way that I charge for client projects is through a retainer.

I will only use a retainer if the project has a big scope, and is going to take months

and months to complete.

Usually, a retainer will be a fixed term, and this could be anything from 2 to 3 months,

to 6 months to a year, or even longer.

When doing retainer work, I will charge the client for x amount of hours per month.

This could be 30 hours, 40 hours, 50 hours, it all depends on what the client needs.

Because it is a fixed term contract and I know there is going to be money coming in,

to make it a good deal for both the client and myself, I offer them a discount on that

service.

So if I usually charge £50 per hour of work, I could charge £40 instead to give the client

a discount.

Going with a retainer is a win-win for both you and the client.

You give them a discount on your services, and you also get the security of knowing that

the money is going to be coming in every month for x amount of months.

I always send out the first invoice before I start any work, and that is for 50% of the

first month's costs.

Each month after that, I will send the rest of the bill to them at the end of the month.

I will also send over andy expenses accrued over the month, such as travel and accommodation.

I will provide the client with those receipts.

When doing retainer work, I also like to provide the client with a document that breaks down

the amount of time I have spent on each area of the project.

That way the client knows exactly where their money is being spent.

So there we go, that's some quick tips on how you can charge your clients for video

work.

Talking about proposals and giving them multiple options, and then how you go about billing

for this project, whether it is a retainer or a per project contract.

This week's question of the week is, how would you usually charge your clients?

What do you usually do when are putting together proposals and sending of your contracts and

invoices?

How to Know if Your Goals are Right for You GOAL SETTING STRATEGY - Duration: 8:34.

hey it's Abbi J your life coach and

today I wanted to talk about something

that is pretty serious when you think

about your goals in the personal

progress that you're going after but

have you ever stopped and asked yourself

do I even like want this goal? Or how do

I know if this goal is right for me? And

that is what we're discussing today in

this video because the last thing you

want to do is go after a goal that you

aren't even sure if you really want it

or if it was your idea in the first

place so let's talk about what to do if

you're questioning if the goals you're

going after are the right goals for you

in the first place. And be sure to stay

to the end of this video for an

exclusive free offer just for those who

watch my videos on youtube. Right now

let's dive right into these tips and the

first step of like figuring out if this

goal is right for me is identifying

where this goal came from in the first

place. Was this your idea? Was it your

mother's idea? Was it your girlfriend's

idea? Was it you know your co-worker or

your boss's idea?

Did somebody suggest this goal to you?

The reason you need to ask yourself this

is because if this goal doesn't

originate from you or at least doesn't

get you excited and riled up then it's

probably not a goal worth going after

all goals I don't care if it's you know

personal or career or financial goals

are hard to achieve that's why it's

goals that's why I feel so amazing to

accomplish them but if this isn't

something that was your idea or

something that really gets you excited

or you feel likes a good idea then it's

not the right goal for you and that's

okay to admit I think sometimes we get

really afraid to say that you know what

I don't want that as a goal because

usually all goals are a really great

thing but depending on your unique

situation you might not want to be a

manager you might not want to go after

certain things you might not want a

brand new car if that's a goal for

somebody else all really great things

but if it's not part of like your life

plan your goals personally gets you so

weak

sited then don't feel any guilt and

taking it off your list especially if

this is a goal that you almost felt like

pressured to like have you know oh you

know what my parents would really like

it if I accomplished that goal but I

could care less you know what my

challenge for you is to just take that

off your list don't worry about it and

focus on the goals that really do count

my second tip is to ask yourself this

question why do I want it this question

is hugely important when it comes to

goals because yes, it might have passed

the first test that this was like your

own idea in your own goal that you

thought about but maybe you didn't

actually think it through and take this

time to stop and think why did I want

this goal like I have goals all the time

I think it's a really cool thing for you

to try but I keep a lot of my goal like

lists or journal entries of pascal's

because it's fun to look back and say oh

man I thought this goal was so important

but now I really don't want that for my

life or my life has changed so

drastically that that goal isn't

something that I want anymore and so

it's important to constantly be asking

yourself why do I want this because if

you are not feeling motivated if that WHY

is not strong enough then you're not

going to accomplish it and so just right

now ask yourself why do I want this and

if it's not compelling enough or if it's

not worth the cost of that goal then

that goal is not right for you my third

tip for you is to ask yourself this am I

discouraged just because it's hard now

that might seem a little weird but hear

me out

I'm sure that if you clicked on this

video or um if you know this came up in

your feed you're thinking about goals

and setting goals but I'm sure there was

part of you that said oh yeah I have

some goals that I don't know if right

are right for me I don't know if I

really want them now my question what

this point is are you feeling like you

don't want this goal because it's hard

are you feeling discouraged and this

might be a low moment for you because I

think we've all been there or we have a

like I'll use the example losing weight

and instead of losing weight this month

you gain weight and so you start to

think you know what this is ridiculous I

actually look fine like why am I trying

to lose weight or you know we start to

justify these goals and we start to

think well was that even a good goal for

me now you know if you pass the other

the other tips in this step and you've

come to this one well it's time to

seriously ask yourself am I just

discouraged am i just feeling like I've

hit a roadblock right now because if

this goal is still something that gets

you jazz if it's still something that

you want then it probably is still worth

your time and you're just feeling a

little discouraged and I promise that

this will pass as you continue to work

on those really hard goals it will pass

and discouragement can go away but you

know if it's more than that if it's like

you know what knowing it's not just cuz

it's hard you know it's not I can

actually do this I've actually made

progress toward this but my life has

changed my goals have changed then yeah

maybe this goal isn't for you anymore

maybe it's a goal that you put on the

shelf and say you know what I'm gonna

re-evaluate and come back to that maybe

in a couple years maybe in a couple of

months after I get some clearer focus on

some of my other goals it's okay to put

goals on the shelf so to speak but just

make sure that you know what it's for

you're about self-interest either way to

either say this goal isn't for me or I'm

gonna buckle down and get this goal done

and my last tip for you is what now what

are you supposed to do now and I think

that's a vital question to ask yourself

because yes

if you've either taken this path and

gone through these tips and you're like

nope this goal isn't for me or you know

what yes it actually is and I've got to

rethink this goal this is the time to

say okay what now what now now that I've

gotten rid of a goal I need to replace

it with something and I would hope that

you could reverse kind of engineer these

steps and find a goal that really

matters to you I've got some videos on

goal-setting I'll link down below but

it's okay to change your mind about what

you want but that doesn't mean that you

don't set other goals it does

mean that maybe you take that goal that

you had that now isn't fitting exactly

your mindset where you want to be and

you just change it you just tweak it a

little bit so this step is all about

okay what now how do I move forward from

where I am whether you've gotten rid of

a goal and you need to add a new one or

whether you're revising a goal or

basically telling yourself you know what

soon up we're gonna do this we are going

to accomplish this goal because it still

matters to me and I might have been

discouraged I might have been feeling

like it wasn't worthwhile anymore but

I'm reinvigorated and I I can do this

now so constantly ask you yourself this

question of what now what am I going to

do with my future? So there you have it

those are my top tips for what to do

when you are questioning whether a goal

is right for you anymore and I think

we've all been there and I think you

need to give yourself permission to

revise your goals it doesn't mean you're

giving up are you being softer and

yourself it means that you're serious

enough about your future that you're

constantly checking in on yourself and

your reevaluating if your goals are

still worthwhile to you which is huge

and it says so much about you and the

personal development like style and

steps that you are at right now so I

think you're amazing for watching this

video and please like this video and

subscribe to my channel I've got awesome

videos coming out for you

comment down below and while you're

looking at those comments check out that

some of these videos that i have posted

enough for watching this one so best of

luck to you in your goals and your

process and I hope that this video helps

you in discovering if your goals are

right for you.

How to cut Art Blanks, blank canvas, art cards, trim watercolor paper, canvas paper - Duration: 4:10.

Hello!

This is Karen Leslie. Today I'm going to

show you how I cut the blanks for my

small art pieces. What I have here is a

sheet of acrylic paper, which comes in a

pad and is made with a canvas texture to

hold acrylic paints. This is my paper

trimmer, with safety blades that slide up

and down. These are patterns I've made in

various sizes. I've got several of the

common sizes that frames and mats are

cut to...the tiny one is trading card sized.

I like using these because I can

easily trace them and not have to worry

about measuring every time. For this size

paper I can get two 5 by 7 inch size

blanks and one 4 by 6. So I just line it

up and trace it.

And I'll make sure to extend the line

all the way across so I can line it up

easily in the cutter.

I'm not sure if you can see these lines

on the camera, but they are there!

And there's the 4x6. Of course every size

pattern will have a different number and

placement, I just work it out to get the

most blanks with the least waste paper.

And now I put the sheet in the cutter,

make sure the pencil line is lined up,

and slice it in a perfect straight line.

Just keep cutting on each line.

These pieces go in the recycle bin, and

there are our nicely cut blanks!

What I do now is trace a smaller

rectangle inside, so the art has a border

around it. The inside pattern I'm using

is 4 by 6 inches, which is a common

inside measurement for a 5 by 7

mat. So I just trace around that with a pencil.

Again, you probably can't see the

lines, but they are there. Of course you

can make your art any size you want, but

I like to make it as easy as possible

for my customers. So I like using common

frame and mat sizes that you can find in any store.

And there you have it: three art blanks

ready to be painted! in the next video

I'll show how I tape off the edges of

the paper to get a nice sharp edge on

the art. See you next time! Bye! :)

But like bedclothes, I could use it

This is an only one blanket

They like it more than I do

They don't move from there

Just an addictive blanket

I got this cute bag

I will put things in here

And I will pick up my friend

Cute

There are two pockets inside

Many storage spaces than I thought

Already full of stuff

I just wore like that

Does my bag look good?

My cat is pictured on this bag

It's like they are still with me

Hi there

Cormie's friend

Proud of her bag

How to sign the ASL Alphabet - Duration: 6:25.

what's up whats good everyone

in this video I'll be covering the ASL alphabet

if you're new to this series then definitely go check out the video up there

where I kind of explain what I'm doing here

cuz this video is just going over the ASL alphabet

now maybe you already know the alphabet

maybe you learned it a long time ago and you're trying to refresh it

maybe don't know it at all. I don't know.

so real quick I'll do some explaining on what even is the ASL alphabet

it's a way to show letters on your hand

if you want to spell something out in sign language

really quick as an example of that: you know this means A and then this means B and then this means C

I will get to all the other letters in a minute but just to show you what I'm talking about

when putting all the letters together to make a word is called fingerspelling

this is absolutely fantastic because it is like the base.

you use it to spell your name, use it to spell the name of companies, you use it to spell words that you don't know

the main purpose of the ASL alphabet is to spell words that you don't know

obviously you got to learn signs

especially if someone is signing to you they're not gonna be fingerspelling all the time

kind of like if you only knew how to spell in English

If I was walking up to someone and I was

like H-I M-Y N-A-M-E I-S H-O-P-E and Pat

That takes a really long time

all of that aside let's get into the actual alphabet.

so we got A as the first one.

now I like to try and associate something with the letter and the sign of some kind so that I will remember it

this one I think kind of looks like an apple or sideways A or something

I don't know. it's also the first one so usually it's easier to remember cuz that's like the first thing you learn

then this one's B

which is kind of like you're drawing a B in here

C is I mean it looks like a C and

D. it looks like a D.

but surprisingly enough this one gets confused a lot

even I did this a lot at first

a lot of people get D and F confused.

This is F and this is D

everybody has their own way of differentiating the different letters so come up with your own way

so that you don't get that confused

because in spelling you know mixing up D and F when you spell words out can get kind of confusing

E looks like that

we just did F

G is one finger. you're pointing. the same on like you know if you're at left-handed

right-handed

H is two fingers.

This always reminded me of when like birds would come and like perch on your fingers

specifically Mary Poppins because I loved that movie when I was a little

and I think when she was singing spoonful of sugar or some kind of song like that

she went like this and the bird got on her hand

and also because H is the first letter of my name I really wanted to make sure that I remembered it

H, I

make sure that your thumb is here cuz if it's over here it might kind of look like a Y

and yeah it's just good- a good habit to build keeping your thumb there

J is kind of a fun one

all the letters so far haven't moved but this is the first one that does

J. so you're drawing a J with with your pinky

K it's like two fingers but your thumb has to be in between otherwise it's V.

got V K K V

L is another really easy one

I think C and L are the easiest ones out of all of them

M. you put your thumb in between your pinky and your ring finger

so you're creating like the the humps of the M

and then N is, you just move your thumb over so it's in between your middle finger and your ring finger

so it's two instead of three

O

and P is really tricky really hard to remember

this was the one- and Q also. those two were ones that took forever for me to remember

P is like this it's like an upside-down K

and then Q is like this it's like an upside-down G

R so you're like twisting- twisting your fingers together

S you might notice it looks really similar to A

The difference is thumb placement so A the thumb is here, S it's in front

T is kind of like M and N is just your the is in between your first finger and your middle finger

with that it's M N T

U. I like to think you know drawing a U here

I already talked about V

W is really easy

X is really weird I don't really know why this is X

but it is a really common finger shape in a lot of different signs

it is really important to note even though X is not a frequently used letter

Y and Z

so with Z you're drawing it out with your pointer finger and not your pinky

that's not Z

it's not Z

this is Z

all together

a b c d e f

g h i j k l

m n o p q r

s t u v w x

y and z

if you forgot any letters feel free to re-watch this

or look up other videos. that's cool.

fingerspelling is used all the time

so if you're getting ready to talk to a deaf person or you want to be a part of this community,

i would highly recommend practicing fingerspelling a lot

if you're just starting out I would just keep signing the alphabet over and over

and practice getting really really fast at it

and this is a really nice thing to do anywhere cuz you always have your hands with you

oftentimes if I'm in line for something or waiting for anything really I'll just finger spell the alphabet

and practice getting faster at it

so that my hands get used to moving quickly and just to keep up the practice

after you get really good at that then I recommend signing other words

like you know watermelon or you know bigger words you can practice signing faster

and then of course your name you got a finger spell that

and that is pretty much it for this video

I hope that you guys enjoyed it

maybe you learned a couple of things

I'll be back with more sign later

maybe a couple more signing covers in between

and I'll see you guys the next time

bye

How a 3-D printed hand gave this girl the gift of play - Duration: 3:36.

JOHN YANG: Finally tonight: a story about a young girl who's been given the gift of

play.

Ella Morton was born without bones in one of her hands.

A traditional prosthetic hand would have cost up to $10,000.

But thanks to one organization, Ella can play just like her sisters, at no cost to her family.

This story was produced by Mary Williams, a Gwen Ifill Legacy fellow from Hughes STEM

High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

MARY WILLIAMS: Advanced technology is changing the way we all live our lives.

But for 4-year-old Ella Morton and her mother, Heather, it has made a huge difference.

Thanks to some engineering students and a three-dimensional printer at the University

of Cincinnati, Ella able to enjoy the same activities as most children her age.

HEATHER MORTON, Mother of Ella Morton: When Ella was born, she has no fingers.

She has no bones in the palm of her hand.

She has bones up to her wrists.

And she can flex at her wrist, but that's pretty much where her bones stop.

She's always been very outgoing and doesn't want anything to stop her.

MARY WILLIAMS: So, Ella, what do you call your special hand?

ELLA MORTON, 4 Years Old: Lucky Fin, because (INAUDIBLE) have a Lucky Fin like me.

MARY WILLIAMS: Eden Barcus, Jacob Granger, and Ishan Anand are engineering students and

members of EnableUC, a student group collaborating with Enable, an open source organization that

provides a variety of cost-effective prosthetic assistive devices.

EDEN BARCUS, Vice President, EnableUC: One of EnableUC's main missions is to provide

3-D-printed prosthetics for children.

Prosthetics are very expensive, and children grow at a rapid rate.

JACOB GRANGER, Manufacturing Co-Chair, EnableUC: This is the second hand we have given Ella.

And so, like, if she was buying a fully commercial, fully marketed prosthetic, every two years,

you're going to need a new hand, and where we can just be like, oh, yes, we will just

print you off another one.

ISHAN ANAND, President, EnableUC: The biggest thing is getting the right measurements of

the patient and understanding the mechanics of a patient, because each patient is a little

bit different, and how they use their hand and how they hope to use their hand are all

different variables you have to take into account.

JACOB GRANGER: It's incredible that we can give someone a prosthetic and give them the

opportunity to have full function in both hands.

MARY WILLIAMS: Jacob Knorr, now a medical student at the Cleveland Clinic, founded the

EnableUC program in the fall of 2015 to promote 3-D printing technology as a way to bridge

the gap between engineering and medicine.

JACOB KNORR, Founder, EnableUC: Ella, I will say, is probably my favorite.

I mean, you could tell she lit up when they gave her this hand.

And she was able to catch a tennis ball for the first time ever, which is pretty amazing.

MARY WILLIAMS: Ella's mother says her daughter can do so much more now that she has two hands.

HEATHER MORTON: I don't think they have under -- they totally get how much of an impact

it made on our family and Ella.

The first thing that she's always said when she puts it on, she's like: "Look, I have

two hands now, mommy, just like my sisters.

And I can hold both Barbies.

And I can play.

And I can do all the same things as my sisters do."

I like to think that we have never made her feel different, but this just makes it feel

more normal.

MARY WILLIAMS: For "PBS NewsHour" Studio Reporting Labs, I'm Mary Williams.

JOHN YANG: Great story.

On the "NewsHour" online right now: Merely seeing a political symbol like an elephant

or a donkey can cause you to reject facts that you would otherwise support.

That's according to a new study.

be ready to audition at any time you

never know the schedule the casting

director is working with introduce

yourself in the part you are auditioning

may be directors producers and

associates in the room with you be

prepared to audition in front of any

into your day have time to arrive early

and stay late expect delays in the

audition process some auditions run over

their time and some applicants will show

up late step 3

improvise if you forget your lines if

you forget a line of the mono

fake it it is better to improvise than

to freeze this will show the casting

director that you are flexible and can

roll with the punches most won't even

notice and the ones who dual appreciate

your creativity and ability to keep your

performance going under the rest you can

do this for music and dance auditions as

well as theater

if you forget their music try to

improvise something similar on the spot

if you are dancing and go out of your

sequence and provides your moves until

you get back on track this will at least

show your creativity and ability to

adapt step 4 act and speak with

confidence in yourself you've practiced

the part you've done the research now it

is time to show them what you can do act

confidently as you arrive to the

audition and know that you will do the

best you can step 5

be patient when waiting for a decision

you never know what schedule the

directors are working on you could

receive a callback that same day or

weeks or years later be patient and

don't worry if you don't get a call back

immediately it is not common to contact

the director or casting agent about the

status of your audition they live very

busy lives though you can request a

feedback on your audition after the cast

list is posted you should submit a

request within one a week you will

typically receive feedback within one

month though thus furryz you can get

feedback on your strengths weaknesses

and ways to improve thanks for watching

How to find pH, pOH, [H+], & [OH-] STEP BY STEP - Duration: 4:05.

We'll go over all the formulas you need to find pH, pOH, acid concentration and

base concentration. Hello everyone I'm Melissa Maribel your personal tutor and

let's go over two potential test questions. In question 1, we are given the

concentration of acid and asked to find the pH, pOH and base concentration to

find the pH we will use the pH formula and plug in the given acid concentration.

Alright, important significant figure note, pH and

pOH have specific significant figure rules when you are given an acid or base

concentration the amount of sig figs you have will be the amount of decimal

places the pH and pOH should be rounded to, this is why we get 3.39 as our pH and

note our pOH will also have two decimal places. Since we just found the pH we can

use this formula and plug in pH to find pOH subtract both sides by three point

three nine and our pOH is ten point six one since

we just found pOH and we are now finding the concentration of base we can use

this formula and plug in the pOH. Plugging this into your calculator make

sure to press 2nd log and then put the exponent of negative ten point six one.

Round to two sig figs since our initial acid concentration had only two sig figs.

This gives us two point five times ten to the negative 11th and our units are

in molarity since concentration is measured in molarity. In question two we

are given the pH and asked to find our acid and base concentrations and the pOH

starting with part A since we are given the pH we can use this formula and solve

for that acid concentration so press 2nd log on your calculator then input the

exponent of negative 8.5 and we get this as our acid concentration. Significant

figure note when we're going from pH to acid concentration

the number of decimal places for the pH tells you how many sig figs to round to

this is why our acid concentration only has one sig fig. Part B to find our base

concentration we will use this formula and plug in the acid concentration we've

just found divide both sides and we will get this as our base concentration

rounded to one sig fig. Part C there are two formulas we can use to find pOH in

this case here's the first formula we'll plug in the base concentration to get

this as our pOH the second formula we could have used instead was this one and

we can plug in our pH subtract both sides by 8.5 and we would get the same

value. Now here's a summary of when to use each formula when going from your

acid concentration to pH use this formula. Going the opposite way from pH

to acid concentration use this. Now when you're going from your base

concentration to pOH use this formula. Going the opposite way from pOH to base

concentration use this if you are given the pH and asked to find pOH or going

from pOH to pH use this formula. Going from acid concentration to your base

concentration or vice versa base concentration to acid concentration use

this. If you want to cut your study time in half I created detailed notes on

everything you need to know on acids and bases you can find that in the

description box below and make sure to check out this other helpful video and

remember stay determined you can do this!
