Hello ladies and Gentlemen, this is Dante here and welcome to this episode
of... I'm not sure what I'm gonna title this. But! We are currently here at #connectSTL, this place is pretty lit so far.
So what we're going to do is we're going to go around, we're going to vlog the
experience, you guys are gonna experience it with me, and that's just how we're gonna roll. So let's get right into it.
This place is CRAZY right now. There's so many people, it's
the energy is just right. It's-- look at
everybody's looking at me like I'm crazy screaming into a camera but you know
what? It's-it's what you got to do sometimes.
OHSNAP! We got a casualty!
Somebody call a medic!
What is this?! That's a touch pad?!
So I'm just touching it.
WHAT??!?
"Can't even hear me!"
I'm vibin' with this.
I made it kind of big because, like I said, I got a big head.
Aye, he was right, you can't hear anything. "Yeah, it's so quiet!"
OHHHHH MAN. I'm telling you, it is a great
night to be here. It's beautiful. There's a little bit of breeze. Everything is
right. So what's gonna happen is, I gotta give a shout-out to the fellow
Instagramers that are here at this
event. I gotta give a shout, so you know,
... okay, I'm getting the photo taken
right now, so check that out on IG. But!
So I'm gonna link every single one of these guys' instagrams in the description below.
We're definitely gonna have a good time. You guys got to check this out, so... I'm having
a blast. Now let me get my drink again.
Let me- let me get my drink.
So I know I haven't been vlogging a tremendous
amount but I'm just enjoying the
experience. Sometimes you just gotta put
the camera down, and just experience the
event for what it is. There's so many
people here, so many creatives and this
is this is the perfect place. This is
where I'm happy. I'm having a blast. So
let's get to part of the video that you
guys are really waiting for is, how to really engage on Instagram. How to grow
your Instagram. How to really get to the next level because I manage several
Instagram accounts. Some have a small
following, like myself, others that I work
for, have, you know tens of thousands of people following them. You know it's all
about keeping things social. That's the
first and foremost golden rule about
Instagram is you have to keep social media social. You have to engage with other
people's content. You have to engage with what other people are doing. You
have to engage yourself. Talk to the
community so, you know, share the content that you have, and just just really get
into it, and then find out what it is
that makes you unique. You know, what is
it about you that makes... that should make
someone follow your page. You have to
have the unique content. I'm not saying you have to be like, SO unique that like
you're just super specific as to what you're doing. You have to keep things
that people would be engaged and interested in. You should definitely, if
you're not already, post several times a day. I mean, I can't tell you enough how
important that is. You know, I've noticed that if you post at least twice a day,
you get increased engagement and the algorithm likes you more.
You got to do stuff like this guy.
"Don't forget to use tags." Oh my god let's talk
about hashtags. So whenever you look at a hashtag so you want to look at things
that are in, I'd say, 100,000 to about 500,000 range,
because enough eyeballs are looking at your content that they will see it, but it's also not highly
competitive to the point where you literally are not going to get seen.
I know I'm just kind of rambling but I'm hoping that it's going somewhere. I guess
other than consistent content, tags, you don't, like... I would say have a theme.
Somewhat of a theme. Like my Instagram personally is all about...
You can start out without one, just get the content out there. You gotta actually have SOMETHING going on.
You know, like you can't just be posting pictures of your dog, and then post a
picture of a fence, and then post a picture of a vase, and then post a
picture of your bottle of water at the park, like you got to have some consistency. Like me,
mine is very St. Louis-themed. I'll go ahead and pull it up right here. So this
is my Instagram. You could tell that, you
know it's very themed around what's in St. Louis. You got Fitz's, which is local
to here. You've got Creve Coeur Park, which is awesome. You've got it, right here
downtown in Kiener Plaza. You've got
pictures from the Zoo, this is all stuff
you find in St. Louis. This is from the Zoo as well, the Penguins.
You've got the Car Show that was recently.
There's a lot of stuff in here that is just very themed. Another thing you should
consider doing-- this is something that I've seen on my personal account because
I kind of hit a plateau, and I was like, "How exactly do I get more people to see
my stuff? How do I get more engagement?"
Start liking pictures. Start commenting on pictures. Search for relevant tags,
like the ones that I told you about that have about a 100,00 to about
500,000 people. Look at the most recent posts. Engagement with what people are
saying, because often times, if you just throw yourself in there, somebody's gonna
like your stuff, and then once you start getting a few of those loyal people,
you can really start to take off. So, that's just my few words of wisdom. I mean if you really, if
I have to prove myself, I will show you the accounts that I have. I'm not going
to show exactly which account this is because I don't want y'all to creep, but
this is one of the accounts that I manage. I am way out of focus. So hey, I'm
gonna ask other people what they have to say about Insta...
Go to events. It just-- engage. Get out there. Do stuff. Just-just go. Just go.
I'm telling you, do you have anything to
share on how to kind of, REALLY engage with people on Instagram? Do you have any
tips for the people? "I do have tips, uh, no matter how
bad you think it is, you're gonna see something out there that someone else likes.
There's a reason most artists have views that range from 1,000 likes to 20.
Everybody has a preference on a photo so just because you don't know what works for you doesn't mean it's not working for someone else.
That is a hundred percent true. Yeah,
I mean, somebody's gonna like your stuff. Somebody will, and if your path is not
clear-cut in the beginning, that's okay. As long as you just kind of go in there,
I mean, just throw yourself in, and just try to, you know, swim.
Just make yourself swim, even if you don't know how. If you know how to swim, then screw you.
Let's get back to the event, y'all.
Let's find out which window is gonna show a person next.
No! Come Back! Come back!
I guess I made him feel uncomfortable. I don't know what happened,
I'm just trying to say hi. Got another guy, no come back! If there are any
dislikes on this video, I know where they came from.
BRO. They got gelato. They got gelato. We gotta get this gelato.
Look, this is the masterpiece, right here. This is the artisan, the man himself. Well,
ladies and gentlemen, this has been a fun experience, it's been awesome, so now let's go ahead and head back, so touch
base with you whenever we get back.
So there's apparently a gift, so I guess I'll go ahead and get this.
"I hope it's like..." A Note 9? "That would be nice!"
Thank you so much.
What?! Hold on a second!? What? This is... this is huge!
So, there are wireless charging stands in here, dude!
This is crazy! This is a huge deal! This one? Let's go.
So that's where we're gonna conclude this episode, so thank you all for
watching and as always the most important part, have yourself a blessed day.
There's my baby.
