Murder Suspect Dad Chris Watts Is in 'Mourning,' Source Claims: 'It's All Beginning to Sink In' - Duration: 3:52.

After Colorado father Chris Watts was arrested late on Aug. 15 for the murders of his pregnant wife and their young daughters, he was booked into the Weld County Jail — where he showed no emotion during the intake process, according to an investigative source at the time

But that was more than two weeks ago.  Now the gravity of the situation has hit the 33-year-old, maintains a second source, who spoke with Watts on Thursday

"It's all beginning to sink in," the source tells PEOPLE. "He's in the mourning process

"  It's a marked change in demeanor for Watts, who could face the death penalty if convicted

The day before his arrest, he gave stilted TV interviews outside his Frederick home pleading for the safe return of his family — his wife of nearly six years, 34-year-old Shan'ann Watts, and their girls, 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste — who had been reported missing by a friend on Aug

13.  "He didn't seem upset at all," observed neighbor Terry Witt at the time.  Within hours of Chris' arrest, authorities announced that they had recovered the bodies of Shan'ann, who was then 15 weeks pregnant, and their kids on property belonging to Chris' former employer

(He was fired the same day he was taken into custody.)  Under police questioning, Chris allegedly admitted that he had strangled Shan'ann — but he gave a startling reason for doing so

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, he claimed that after he told Shan'ann he wanted to separate, he saw her strangling Celeste while Bella was "blue" and apparently lifeless in her bed nearby

Chris purportedly said he "went into a rage" and strangled Shan'ann, the arrest affidavit states

Afterward he allegedly loaded all three bodies into his truck to conceal them at an oil work site some 40 miles east

Authorities aren't buying this explanation and, in charging Chris with first-degree murder in all three deaths, they have dismissed his version of events as described in the affidavit

He is also charged with unlawful termination of a pregnancy in the first-degree, among other crimes

Chris now sits alone in an intake cell; according to the Weld County Jail, he is being held in protective custody due to the publicity surrounding his case

He is permitted to leave his cell under strict supervision for one hour of exercise and to shower — but it is unclear how often he has opted to do so

He has met with his attorneys as he begins to mount his defense and court documents already filed by his team signal that he is possibly preparing to argue that Shan'ann killed their children, according to one outside expert

"Obviously, he's in a tough place," says the source who spoke with him this week

"And he understands that he's not going anywhere anytime soon."  Chris has not yet entered a plea

His attorney is barred from discussing the case, according to a statement from the state's public defender's office, which represents him

His wife and daughters will be laid to rest in North Carolina on Saturday.  Police, meanwhile, have been continuing to gather evidence, according to an investigative source

"He's lied to us before," the source tells PEOPLE of Chris. "So we have to check every part of his story

"

Scum starter Tips - Scum how to Craft a shelter and box Guide - Scum Giveaway (New Survival Game) - Duration: 8:28.

hi guys welcome back to scum now before

we start touch on that the giveaway

know let's careful we can be given to a

friend if you went as well it'll be

length that sent to you for a game

called of scum just a thank you for the

support I've had recently especially

with the CDs now also on that I have a

server that's just fully open it this is

that this is what I record on there's a

twenty pop server and me extend it and

tell you I'm not a hundred percent sure

yet but you're more than welcome to join

you learn the game and a peaceful quiet

environment no today's video we're going

to walk out how to build a shelter and a

box never box to access it you let tab

you'll see it at any facility open up

and you can just drag stuff into it as

simple as that

no if I open up a tick that to the side

put it outside it'll go outside the box

just go over to the bottom baseball bat

in hand done you can close the box again

and you can just put it back to the

normal facility so it's good if you're

doing PvE and again because it allows

you to have a safe point to come back to

because use Fame points to come back to

a shelter this does bug out sometimes

just bear that in mind know if you're

only here to find out the quick facts on

it I will explain the box first to make

the box you a stone axe then you chop

wood for logs then you chop the logs

into planks by holding here for for the

logs then you use the planks to build

the box if you want to see every star

I'm Phil we're gonna do it no I have

pre-made everything over here but I will

quickly run through exactly we need to

do and do a small demonstration on it as

we can see here I've got everything

already praying that I've got my

makeshift rope as well so everything is

already in place

well the favor have to do is chop down

the tree now we're game it then provides

shelter fast so what you have to do is

basically find a bush you'll see that's

one for instance I'll cut it down though

because you have to take a lot of steps

you'll have to run backwards and

forwards try and find an area which has

got a lot of bush near no to do this the

best thing that I can suggest that you

do

as Quentin uh section here you see em

venturi you'll see all the steps around

you now go to crafting and you can

bundle up the stacks so if we just

bundle these stacks up

you see timer over down then you have a

bundle of sticks that pop up put them in

your hand take them back over here to

all the stacks are left quit then you'll

see again you're in here you can't just

drop the bundle or sex don't you have to

UM craft them like so I'm crafts the

stacks and that is that just keep going

backwards and forwards know if you need

to make them provides rope all you have

to do is get some rags when they're I

guess just right corner and cut into

right strips then from there you go to

crafting when you've got enough right

strips I think it's five pure rope just

craft the rope as simple as that you can

use the tree bark rope as well or if you

find rope you can use that so that is

pretty much simply how it's done that

knows about the shell while after you

have everything in place simply just

craft the shower it's as simple as that

there's not to demand them and how it's

done now as I said this is good if

you're playing PvE or you're playing

solo and you have a spot that you want

to come back to all the time Haeju boxes

and rock species anyway you can now you

can turn right look for anything that is

just that's it it's done know to make

the box you're gonna have to find two

stones so an area where you can search

for rocks on the floor like so search

for rocks is any their gym facility it's

none they're just rocks again to show

your left quick left quick right-click

or from their crafting go to that smokes

to an axe head and you're gonna craft

one of them I already have one so I'm

not going to use it but basically then

from the out you go to stone axe go to

stone axe

all you need again it's someone and

provides rope a smokestack and the outs

here that you just made

no I've already got that so I'm not

going to spend too much time on that one

though we're gonna come to here and

we're gonna cut down the tree now the

reason we're cutting this tree though

is because we need the logs to meet the

planks so as soon as that tree is

dropped we're then going to look on the

logs himself and create planks again you

can stack these and take them over just

you know there's logs everywhere that I

bet funny they default in the sky and

stuff it's just as part and parcel

there's nothing to do about it

I'm sure in time we'll fix it

so we'll just cut this one that knows

where else it's not hover in the sky

chop it down you're shooting a store an

axe that you made it makes the planks

simple as that

no cut this one that is we've got enough

but just to make sure I will cut this

one as well

then it's done done now go back to here

and you'll see a wooden box

I already got to improvise rule again if

you don't have it cut your axes roughly

about 10 rags to make them fly up cut

very small rags and make it no we're

gonna craft the box so that's what we'll

do is we will make planks so like with

that before we're going to come up on

the planks reason being I wanna over

there by Michelle so if I make here is

gonna drop here let's hit that going to

here number one this one put it on our

hands like so come over here I'll just

drop it and again on a quat on craft

sorry and I'll quit one if you do a

rifle and you want to put a scoop on it

you have to have an adapter for it and

get the real military bases etc just a

quick one some people would ask me how

we were able to do that and come back

over here again quite the Travis craft

another bundle awesome here I'll craft

other funders we'll see what about time

craft again I thought it would entertain

or my hands just bear that in mind

right here senator my hands run back or

what again you're gonna quite let's say

I just want to do us all the way through

it so you can see it a lot of people

prefer to see it then actually here it's

done in because it can become quite

tricky no 5 SEC's so this last one will

make sure we can do it back up this

bundle we've got here

put it two hands run back over now

very important try and look or being the

idiot you want the box try and look at

ground as well because it'll actually

just craft the so I'm going to look here

and hopefully it should just pop in this

area so crafting I've already got my

provides rope because I've already made

it freehand but again and remember use

the rags cut them up I'm going to go to

the box I'm going to craft the box again

I'll quickly show you how to use a box

that's a back wheels

I prefer personally you could hold F and

open the menu so you can just drag stuff

from the facility into the box or your

table like the choice and that way to do

it they see there at the box as no made

no to use this box go to here all you do

is press s lock tab drop it down and you

can start putting stuff into the box

drag it into it or you can close the tab

and just drag and drop on top simple is

up

now these are good I forget if you're a

saw in PVE and you just wanna hey these

are owned them up just have little boxes

and just set your lot map up just drop

it there you can see it's all I know

so guys that is how to make a shelter

and a box quite simple basic and again

remember that the competition make sure

you enter if you've got a friends who

struggle in maybe financially to get the

game let's give an opportunity for them

to get it also again the server is open

for anyone who wants to join if I won

now say hello and I'll see you in the

next one

Is 10,000 Steps For 30 Days Worth It? We Find Out... - Duration: 11:28.

We walked 10,000 steps every day for 30 days.

Find out what happened.

Hi, I'm Zena and I'm doing the 10,000

steps a day challenge because I want to

try and make my baseline activity for

the day a little more active.

My name is Fatima

I decided to do the 10,000 steps

challenge because I thought I wasn't walking enough

I'm Kim and I signed up to do the 10,000 steps a day

for the accountability

Hi, I'm Erica. I'm doing the 10,000 steps challenge

because I know I definitely don't walk enough

I'm hoping after 30 days that I'll see a

little bit more definition, I think that's always good

and I think it's really cool to be able to see those

kind of results from just walking

because I think people would think like

walking, not really a form of exercise

but there's old ladies out there getting it

with their steps in every day and

they seem pretty limber and fit

I'm hoping to lose a little weight because I

feel that I don't exercise enough and

that'll push me a little

I feel like I'm skinny fat

and I'd like to decrease my body fat percentage

I would love to feel

a little bit more mobile and less stiff

and also reduce stress

How many steps a day would you say you typically take?

I think I take average 3,000 to 4,000

I usually take between 3,000 and 5,000

steps a day and that's thanks to my dog

You know what's sad? I actually walk to work currently

You do?

I do! And I still only get like 5,000 steps a day

because I live very close to work

I usually take about probably 2,000 to

3,000 a day during the week

on the weekends it's different probably like

20,000 because I like to go on long hikes

Do you know why you're supposed to

take 10,000 steps a day or have you heard that before?

I've heard it but I don't know why.

Maybe it originates from the past because

I know back in the day they used to walk like six miles a day

I'll link this article below but apparently

the 10,000 steps myth came about in the 1960s

when a Japanese company started selling pedometers

which is a very good way of getting people to buy pedometers

setting an arbitrary number that's high and telling them that

they need to step that much every day

but studies later confirmed that people

who take 10,000 steps a day have lower

blood pressure, they have more stable

glucose levels and better moods – which I'm all about

You know, I get quite moody and I am looking

forward to seeing if that is going to add a noticeable lift to my day

Today marks Day 1 of 30

I am currently at 8,900 which is pretty good

I walked to work today which was

nice I've been telling myself to do this forever

So, it is almost nine o'clock and I just

brushed my teeth I have already put on pajamas

I'm like fully ready to wind down

and start getting ready for bed

and realize I only have nine thousand steps so...

gonna put pants on again

and go out there for another thousand

It is day seven how are we doing so far, Kim?

I think I'm not doing so well...

How many days did you successfully walk 10,000 steps?

Confidently, three days

I walked 10,000 steps three times

I have successfully completed seven for seven walking 10,000 steps

I walked 10,000 step for six days

I've actually been in a really great mood the last few days

I feel good I think knowing that I'm taking a lot of steps actually makes me feel great

For me I think it's a little bit too soon to tell if I feel any different

I'm excited for the next three weeks

I think it's been good so far

I'm getting a lot of audiobooks in

Okay, guys. Seven days done

stay tuned to see how the rest of it goes...

will we make it?

I'm getting ready to go do my walk it's

a little early but um it feels good

the morning feels good

I'm only 6,500 steps in

so I'm taking a post-work walk with my dog

she's really enjoying this challenge

It's like now finally 9 o'clock

and I still have 5,000 steps to go

this is probably the hardest day so far for this challenge

Steps challenge life hack

you can get about 5000 steps in 30 minutes...

on the jump rope!

We have completed week two

of the 10,000 steps a day challenge

Kim, how's it going?

I'm struggling!

How many days of the week

of the past week have you completed 10,000 steps

I would say five

That's really good!

It's good but it's a struggle!

This week I walked 10,000 steps for three days straight

I have miraculously hit 7 for 7

I think now I'm just on a streak

and I'm stubborn I'm like don't

want to break it but it does involve a

lot of like "Okay, 10 o'clock at night and

I still have 3000 to go."

Mmhmm.

Gotta get up and walk around the living room

I think I walk 10,000 steps

maybe once or twice only

This week wasn't good

So that is the end of Week 2

Let's see how we do for the last two, Kim!

It is a Saturday morning

It's been so lovely and lazy

I'm just watching MasterChef and Queer Eye

but lo and behold

it's almost 12 o'clock and I have 132 steps

Ahh!

Just getting home we have about four flights

of stairs to climb that should get me

maybe a hundred steps maybe two

and...

jackpot!

Okay, so we are in Week 3 and

I am still struggling!

I'm really behind

I think I'm the one who's got the lowest score

I feel like the step nazi

This one over here has like 12,000 or 13,000

I've taken up a new hobby

I now jump rope every morning for about five minutes

Nice!

This week to get my steps in

I actually have just been like having a dance party at home

By yourself?

By myself! Really cool...

You know, I tried this morning

to step in my shower while I was showering

Getting your steps in is not cool

it's like walking around your block

by yourself without a dog

or pacing around your friends

or like dancing in your living room by yourself

My biggest challenge is that

I don't find enough time during my day

I think just the nature of working a desk job it is

challenging by itself and also having

travelled for work recently

I don't know... I don't really know what the

benefits I'm feeling are

I don't know that I feel more fit

but I feel more mentally in a good place

Mmhmm I agree with that

I think I'm still snacking a lot more

Me too! Yeah, yeah.

Once I start walking I'm just feeling great

Yeah and I think mentally it's

become almost like a measure of success

for a good day like I made it 10,000 steps

I can go to bed, I'm happy

That's week three!

Stay tuned one more week left

let's do this

I am about 3,000 steps in at 6:00 p.m.

so I am about to go outside and go for a hike

The most annoying thing has happened

my headphones have gone on the fritz

I realized how much I rely on listening to things

to get through 10,000 steps a day

and now that it's not working I don't want to walk anywhere

I'm over it

So we've reached the end of our 30 day challenge

How'd you finish up here in the last week?

Disastrous

My last week was good

I made almost 20,000 steps

probably five days a week

My average for the month was 11,000 a day

Well I kind of stepped up 3,000 steps a day

I think my average is about 7,000

I think my average was about 8,000

That's probably twice as much as it was!

Prior to this, yeah

Yeah definitely

I think I gained weight on this challenge

Oh, I'm sure I did

and that kind of upset me and was probably

part of the reason I just blew it on the last day

I still lost a pound

I gained weight!

last day I still left it bound I gained

It must be from walking to

get snacks or because I traded my

workouts for long walks

instead I gained half a pound okay but I

did lose on my waist and I lost body fat

so maybe I gained muscle

I think my body fat was about the same

and I did lose an inch

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to attempt 10,00 steps a day?

I think if you have the time to do it

it'll be much easier

Get comfortable shoes

and be prepared to give up some social time

Also be mindful of your diet

because you will be snacking often

And get a good watch, something that can track your

steps accurately so you want to check it

every day and stay motivated

I think I was looking for more physical changes

throughout this challenge and that didn't happen

but I still really enjoyed it and I think I actually will

continue to try and be mindful about how

many steps I'm getting a day and try

hit closer to 10,000

I think it's a really interesting challenge to be more

mindful of how much you walk and also

what you put your time towards

Okay that marks the end of

our 10,000 steps a day challenge

If you enjoyed, go ahead and like this video

Comment below with anything else we should try for 30 days

iPhone XS release What is the iPhone XS : Is it the new iPhone released by Apple | Tech News - Duration: 2:16.

IPHONE XS leaked images have stormed the internet, revealing Apple's plans to release three

new phones at their September event.

What is the iPhone XS?

There are just under two weeks to go until Apple's big 2018 event, but iPhone fans

may already know what the next iPhone will look like, thanks to a number of leaked images

online.

9to5Mac posted a series of images of a new iPhone design, dubbed 'iPhone XS', as

well as images of the Watch Series 4.

There are two new iPhone's in the leaked image, with no sign of the supposed third

iPhone which was rumoured to be arriving at the same time.

Both appear to be edge-to-edge screens, with no home button, in a similar vein to the iPhone

X.

iPhone fans may finally have their first look at Apple's new series of phones, in a series

of leaked images published to 9to5Mac.

There is no indication of how 9to5Mac got the images, but it appears that the pictures

are from official marketing materials which would presumably be released during the announcement.

Rumours circulated on the internet that Apple would be unveiling three new phones - a budget

iPhone X, a larger, X Plus model, and an undescribed new model.

These new images, however, seem to show off just two new phones that may just be the new

iPhone XS series.

The images show two phones, one much larger than the other, with a bezel-less, black design.

The images may also reveal a new gold look for the iPhone.

9to5Mac claims to exclusively share the first images of the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED screens

which will feature on the iPhone XS.

Apple has a track history of bringing out a more compact version of their flagship phones,

similar to the iPhone 5C, and 6S.

9to5Mac say that there are no further details of the features on the iPhone XS phones, but

they claim they can confirm the name will be the XS.

The article also suggests Apple will reveal a new Apple Watch Series 4 during the California

event, which will have a bigger face and a smaller strap.

Is it Possible to Upload an Impossible Level in Super Mario Maker? - Duration: 12:40.

When super mario maker was released nintendo did everything to make sure that it is completely

impossible to ever upload a level that is impossible to beat.

Naturally tons of people immediately started to try to find a way to upload an impossible

level, myself included.

And as it turns out, nintendo did a really good job.

Uploading an impossible level was seemingly impossible.

So most people moved on, and so did I, but a part of me always kept wondering if it is

possible, to upload a level that is completely absolutely no way to ever beat it impossible.

Less to have the stage online, more just to find out if it can be done.

So over the last couple of years I often toyed around with impossible level concepts, but

nothing I came up with was truly impossible.

Until recently.

In this video we are going to recreate my journey to create a completely impossible

mario maker level, will take a look at a couple of different things, I and other people tried

over the years to trick nintendo's system, and in the end we will finally find out, if

it is possible to upload a stage that is truly impossible to beat.

So are you ready?

Let's do this!

So if we want to upload a truly impossible level, then we have to find a way to circumvent

the play clear rule in some way.

When uploading a stage, everyone is forced to beat the level once from start to finish,

and once from every checkpoint.

So we can't upload a level like this one for example, because there is no way to clear

the stage once, the same is true for a stage like this.

So what we are looking for is either a way, to create a stage that can only be beaten

during the uploading process, or for a stage that uses some sort of trickery, that allows

us to be 100% sure that only the creator of the stage can beat it.

The first thing I ever tried was to simply create a stage, that utilizes a code that

only the creator of the stage knows, and that is required to beat the stage.

Here's a simple concept for such a level.

This level simply contains 16 writable bits.

Our plumber basically has to enter the correct number into the two bytes at the top.

There are 16 cells with 2 different states each, so there are 2 to the power of 16 possible

inputs or about 65000.

If each try to input a number takes about 20 seconds, which is really generous, then

it would take about 15 days of just playing this level non stop to enter each combination

once.

That's by no means impossible to do, very very tedious, but not impossible, but there

is no point in doing this, because this design, and every design like this has a critical

flaw.

Everyone is just able to download the stage, and to figure out the code and how it works

by looking at the level.

So this is how we can test for the correct number in a 16 bit storage cell, which is

really cool and awesome, but brings us no step further to building a truly impossible

level.

So I tried a lot of different things with such a concept.

I tried to hide the way the code is encoded, I tried to implement a simple encryption algorithm,

stuff like that.

But at the end of the day I always faced the same two problems.

First: If the stage is impossible because a number is needed then there is always the

chance that someone finds this number by accident.

We could make this chance so small that it is impossible for anyone to ever find it in

reality, but the stage would still not be truly impossible to beat.

The second, and honestly bigger problem is that people can just download

the level and look it up.

So if we want to upload a truly impossible level, we need to try something completely

different.

Youtuber ReflectivistFox uploaded a really interesting video a while ago.

He found a way to upload a level, that is beatable from the start, but that is truly

impossible to beat from the checkpoint.

The way he achieved this was by abusing a really clever quirk in the way red coins are

handled if a player dies.

The thing is the following, if there are several red coins in a stage, and mario is forced

to collect one of them, hits a checkpoint and then dies, then the game remembers that

a red coin was collected, and doesn't respawn this specific coin.

If Mario plays the level in order to upload it, and starts it from the checkpoint then

the coin isn't collected.

This gives us a difference between playing the level in upload mode, and playing the

level once it is actually uploaded, which is basically the holy grail for creating an

impossible level.

ReflectivistFox used everyone's favorite dinosaur to exploit this and to create a stage that

isn't beatable once the checkpoint was touched.

If anyone is interested in finding out how he did it in detail, the link to the video

is in the description and I highly recommend everyone to watch it, it's a really cool

concept.

So I tried to find an exploit using this trick that allows us to upload a level that is impossible

from the start . . . aaaand I found nothing.

The problem is that we are only able to create a difference between normal play and upload

play once a checkpoint was triggered by using this trick.

This means that every stage that we build around this trick still has to be be clearable

from the start, without respawning at the checkpoint.

While the concept is incredibly cool, and it's amazing that we are able to upload

impossible from checkpoint levels, it sadly doesn't allow us to create impossible from

the start levels.

But the concept of finding a difference between the different play modes felt like a really

hot trail, so I started to look into other ways to trick the game.

And I found this little guy!

May I introduce: Mr. Weird Mushroom.

This little guy is really interesting, because this little guy has a chance of 1 in 100 to

spawn instead of a mushroom when a question block is triggered in the super mario bros

theme.

If mario eats this delicious yum yum weird mushroom, he doesn't become big mario, but

weird big mario, and weird big mario has different jumping physics than normal mario.

He obviously jumps higher.

So why is this relevant when looking for a truly impossible level?

Well for a very simple reason.

Because nintendo has to make sure that no level is impossible to beat under normal conditions,

which forces them to do something that actually helps us creating an impossible level.

You'll understand in a second.

So if a player creates a stage in the smb style that contains nothing but a question

block and a gap that is too wide to jump over for mario, but easily doable for weird mario,

than this person could replay the stage over and over again, until a weird mushroom spawns,

which suddenly makes this impossible jump possible.

But such a stage would appear to be impossible, if someone got to play it in the 100 mario

challenge, and so nintendo decided to never spawn weird mushrooms when uploading any level.

Only when playing it normal weird mushrooms spawn.

But this gives us a new difference between uploaded play, and normal play that we can

exploit when we try to create an impossible level.

So the first person I saw using this trick was youtuber smash boss.

He often features incredible cool and weird mario maker contraptions and tricks, and highly

recommend everyone who is interested in this kind of stuff to check his channel out, the

link is in the description.

The trick smash boss used is the following: if Mario is weird Mario and jumps off of this

spring, then he becomes entrapped in this one way door for eternity, or at least until

the timer runs out, since he jumps higher than normal big mario.

But he needs to jump upwards at least once, in order to ignite the bob omb, because otherwise

he is entrapped as well.

Because of this beating the stage as weird mario is impossible.

But if mario is normal big mario he is able to trigger the bob omb and to escape, which

makes this stage beatable.

So what smash boss did was the following, he simply fed Mario 100 delicious mushrooms,

which almost guarantees that at least one of them is a weird mushroom, and thus the

stage is unbeatable because of the weird way weird mushrooms spawn.

But when he uploaded the stage, only normal mushrooms spawned because nintendo wanted

to make sure that no one uploads an impossible level.

In theory we could feed Mario even more mushrooms, by having him eat them always immediately,

because then the 100 item elc limit is never filled and we can use the block limit to feed

mario yum yum mushrooms.

Once in the overworld, and once in the sub world.

If we built something like this we can upload a stage that is so rng heavy that it can't

be realistically beaten by anyone anymore, but can be uploaded first try.

Such a stage would require insane luck to be beaten, it would be almost impossible.

And that's the problem.

It's almost impossible, but not totally completely ultimately no way to beat it ever

impossible.

So I always dreamed about uploading a totally completely ultimately no way to beat it ever

impossible level in super mario maker.

But that was the best I was able to find.

I had to accept it, when nintendo released Mario Maker they made no mistake, making an

impossible level, was impossible.

You know sometimes we try to do the impossible, and it turns out to be impossible.

Sometimes we just have to let dreams go.

. . . But not this time, because while nintendo

made it impossible to upload an impossible level in super mario maker, when they released

the game, they screwed up afterwards.

So do you remember the two impossible levels which I showed off at the beginning of the

video, well, those two are actually totally completely ultimately no way to ever beat

them impossible . . . and I actually uploaded them.

So recently I was chatting a little bit with the cloner of bowser's, the vanisher of tracks,

the solidifier of lava, the invisibility cloaker of pipes, and the master of mario maker glitches

himself.

I was chatting with psycrow.

I told him that I was doing a video on seemingly impossible levels, and he was like, oh cool,

but do you know that there is a way to upload a totally completely ultimately no way to

ever beat it impossible level and I was like.

"Uhm . . . . no."

So there's the thing.

During their never ending crusade against glitches and those who use them, nintendo

actually made a huge mistake.

They enabled a way to upload impossible stages, that wasn't possible at release.

If we want to pull this off, we need to travel back in time.

We need to wipe our wii u, and boot it up with a 1.0 version of Super Mario Maker afterwards,

and then we are playing super mario maker like it was three years ago, once again.

1.0 was a different time, it was a time where p-switches were yellow, keys and skewers didn't

exist, checkpoints were something we all wished for, for christmas, the nintendo switch was

nothing but a rumor and shigeru miyamoto just stated that pikmin 4 was in development.

But most important, Mario Maker was still fundamentally broken.

The double entity glitch still wasn't patched.

So check this out, here Mario finds himself trapped in a small little room, or at least

he appears to be entrapped, because these block blocks, are actually no block blocks,

but are made out of thin air, and allow mario to just jump through.

Next our plumber faces a couple of clouds, which sadly don't allow him to walk through

them, like they normally do, but are solid, but luckily the brick blocks at the top, aren't

solid, but allow mario to walk through.

If Mario hits this p-switch, then the cloud blocks suddenly can be collected like coins,

but the brick blocks suddenly turn into solid coins, and so on.

Long story short, the double entity glitch was pretty cool.

All we needed to do, in order to create such a strange double entity was to put a block,

cloud or coin on tracks on top of another block, coin or cloud, and delete the track

piece, and suddenly both items were on the same spot, which really messed with the game.

So when nintendo patched this glitch, all stages that previously used this trick broke,

because after the patch only one of the two stacked entities existed anymore.

So how do we create an impossible stage using this?

Well, there is a neat little mechanic that a lot of people don't know about in super

mario maker.

Levels don't have to be uploaded immediately after clearing.

If a stage is cleared, but the wii u isn't online, then the stage is saved as cleared

and can be uploaded the next time the wii u is online, without the need of playing the

stage again.

So.

If we beat these stages that were made in 1.0 on a wii u that isn't online, and then

update the game to 1.47, then we are able to upload the course without the need to play

it again.

And that's pretty good, because once we are on 1.47 the levels aren't beatable anymore.

This finally gives us the difference between play and upload-play that we need to build

completely impossible levels.

So I uploaded both of these courses.

They are completely absolutely totally no way to ever beat them impossible.

Hoooooray!

We finally did it.

With that being said, I immediately afterwards deleted the levels again because while impossible

stages are a ton of fun to theorycraft and I'm incredibly happy that I finally got

one online, they really shouldn't stay online, because of non skip 100 mario challenge players.

Huge, gigantic and enormous shoutout to psycrow for telling me about a way to upload this

stage, and for being awesome in general.

I hope all of you enjoyed this little video, if you did don't forget to leave me a thumbs

up and maybe you feel especially impossible to upload today, and want to hit the subscribe

button as well.

I hope that all of you have a wonderful day and to see you soon.

Goodbye!

JEFF SESSIONS IS FINISHED – IT'S ALL OVER

Attorney General Jeff Sessions was just hit with bad news renowned political commentator

Roger Stone, a former senior advisor to Donald Trump, slammed him during a new interview.

Newsmax reported that during an interview on Tuesday, Stone the Russia probe as "the

biggest, single political scandal in American history.

In essence, they used a fabricated dossier to justify state surveillance of the Republican

candidate for president of the United States.

That's using the government's authority and capability to spy on the Trump campaign.

And now, incredibly, we've learned that they used the FBI to insert spies and infiltrate

the Trump campaign."

Stone went on to describe Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein as "two

crooks."

"We have two crooks running the Justice Department," Stone said, referring to the

pair.

"The fact that Jeff Sessions will not hand over to Congress information regarding the

FISA warrant surveillance of Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, and Carter Page is criminal."

He added that he would like a second special counsel to be appointed to investigate how

the FBI and DOJ started and conducted the Trump campaign surveillance.

"We have text messages from [FBI agent] Peter Strzok saying [former President Barack]

Obama wanted to be briefed on everything," Stone said.

"So, when it comes to the phony dossier, what did Obama know and when did he know it?

They're covering up the greatest scandal in American history."

Stone concluded by saying that the Watergate scandal is nothing compared to this.

"They were inserting moles to create faux evidence of Russian collusion as part of what

FBI agent Peter Strzok referred to as their insurance policy against Donald Trump's

election," Stone said.

"This makes Watergate look like a second-rate burglary.

What we have here today is far more egregious."

Stone is just the latest person close to Trump to slam Sessions, and many believe it is only

a matter of time before the attorney general is forced to step down.

Does being beautiful mean dying sooner? In nature, it can. | Richard Prum - Duration: 4:03.

One of the most extraordinary examples of beauty happening in the natural world is the

courtship display song of the Club-winged Manakin.

The club-winged manakin is a South American bird that sings with its wings.

The female club-winged does all the nesting and builds the nest and lays the eggs and

takes care of them all on her own, but she chooses among available mates based on the

songs they sing.

But they sing with their wing feathers in a very special way: by shaking their wing

feathers rapidly over their back they create an "electronic" sound that sounds like

"Bip!

Bip!

WAAANG" that rings out of the forest, and yet this is actually produced by the wing

feathers rubbing together.

This is interesting because it shows that beauty can be innovative.

Birds have been singing songs, vocal songs with their syrinx for something like 80 million

years, but this bird has essentially abandoned vocal songs to create music in a whole new

way with its wing feathers.

Studies have shown that as we look inside the body of the male club-winged manakin the

wing bones have been greatly altered in order to make this sound.

What this means is that beauty is not only skin deep: in order to make these beautiful

attractive sounds the wing bones have become elaborated and even solid like ivory.

This is a big deal because all birds have hollow wing bones: even Velociraptor and T

Rex have hollow arm bones, so this is a design that goes back prior to the origin of birds

and prior to the origin of flight!

But flying birds all maintained hollow wing bones, but somehow or other the male club-winged

manakin has abandoned them in order to produce his wing song.

This is interesting because his wing bones are actually made worse at flying by the compromise

to be beautiful, in order to make the songs that females love.

Then the male has been dragged off that optimal design toward a new design, which functions

less well at flying; in other words the male has been made less capable at flight by female

choice.

That kind of investment or cost COULD be rationalized as another kind of "honesty," a kind of

handicap that indicates how good he is, that he can waste energy to make the wing bones.

I wanted to test that idea by exploring what's going on in female club-winged manakins.

It turns out that female club wings have the same elaborate, thickened, or wider wing bones

as the males, yet they will never sing a wing song.

How does that work?

Well, it turns out that the wing bones develop in the embryo in the egg before the embryo

becomes either male or female.

And as a result when the female selects on the males that she likes with the song that

she likes, her female offspring will also inherit bizarre wing bones, and yet they won't

be made better by them.

They will never profit from them.

So in this case of the club-winged manakin, both males and females are made worse off

as a result of mate choice.

I call this the "evolution of decadence".

It's an example of how mate choice or evolution by mate choice can work in an entirely opposite

or opposing direction to natural selection.

I think that's a case where we are driven to accept the idea that beauty happens.

Why Horseshoe Crab Blood Is So Expensive - Duration: 3:23.

- Narrator: This blueish liquid

is one of the most expensive resources in the world.

No, it's not the blue milk from "Star Wars."

It's actually blood

from a horseshoe crab,

and the stuff this blood makes

costs $60,000 a gallon.

So why is it so expensive

and who's buying horseshoe crab blood?

The blue color comes from copper in the blood.

But that's not it's most interesting feature.

The blood contains a special clotting agent.

It's used to make a concoction

called Limulus amebocyte lysate or LAL.

Before LAL, scientists had no easy way of knowing whether

a vaccine or medical tool was contaminated with bacteria.

Like E. coli or salmonella.

Scientists would inject vaccines

into huge numbers of rabbits and

then basically wait for symptoms to show up.

But when LAL was approved for use in 1970,

it changed everything.

Drop a minuscule amount of it onto

a medical device or vaccine, and the LAL will encase

any gram-negative bacteria in a jelly cocoon.

While it can't kill the bacteria,

the jelly seal is like a fire alarm.

Alerting us to the presence of

what could become a potentially lethal infection

and prevent it from spreading.

Each year, the medical industry catches

around 600,000 horseshoe crabs.

The crabs are drained of 30% of their blood

and up to 30% of the crabs don't live through the process.

The survivors are returned to the water,

but no one really knows how well or if they recover.

In 2016, the International Union

for the Conservation of Nature bumped

the American horseshoe crab up to vulnerable

on it's red list,

one step below endangered.

And the US population could keep falling,

by as much as 30% over the next 40 years.

LAL Labs claim that the returned crabs eventually recover,

but new evidence suggests that's not always the case.

Win Watson is trying to figure out what happens

to the crabs when they're put back in the sea.

- Narrator: Bled crabs become disoriented

and weak for a period of time,

and females may have trouble spawning.

- Narrator: But it's getting through

those two weeks that's the issue.

- Narrator: Scientists are trying

to find a synthetic alternative to help reduce

the strain on the horseshoe crab population.

But so far, LAL is still required

by the FDA for this type of testing.

So if these animals really aren't recovering

at the rate companies previously thought,

we might eventually run out of crabs to bleed.

If that happens, our lives and the lives

of countless rabbits, might be at risk.

What is a self charging hybrid is it a REX BEV or a PHEV? ITS NON! 🔌🔋🚗 - Duration: 6:51.

welcome to this week's vlog on this week's vlog we're going to be talking

about an amazing system that's called the self charging hybrid system yes you

heard me right a self charging hybrid system

now if you've seen Toyota and

Lexus is adverts obviously Toyota owns Lexus they have gone for an

amazing self perpetual-motion device called a self charging hybrid yes they

have a hybrid that completely charges itself what an amazing piece of

technology I mean Newton would be proud they have

basically broken all the barriers of physics and invented a device that

completely self charges now if you see Toyota and Lexus advert it clearly says

they've chosen a device it charges itself and does not require a plug yes

that's right Toyota chosen not to put a plug on their hybrid

no no there's self charges itself now if you weren't aware Mercedes yes right

under here is Mercedes self charging hybrid battery yes you heard me right

right under here is a 12-volt standard okay it's time to drop the sarcasm

obviously Mercedes do not make a self-driving hybrid but also neither do

Toyota it's time I get technical for the first time ever in my videos and explain

the full difference between different cars so obviously got a ICE combustion

car which is a pure petrol or diesel car runs on combustion fuel 100% that drives

the wheels we all know what they are they've been around for decades the next

car is what we call a battery car BEV but a battery electric vehicle which

basically means the whole car is powered purely by electric so that includes the

Renault Zoe and obviously the Nissan Leaf and all the Tesla's we then have a

REX which is a range extender this has a electric motor and it also has a small

engine the engine charges the battery and the wheels are

powered by the battery alone so basically the even that has an engine a

combustion engine combustion engine is there to facilitate the energy of

electricity so therefore it's more efficient the engine is tuned to run it

the most efficient rate and therefore that's why REX's are actually not that

bad we next then move on to hybrids now a hybrid car works a bit like a Formula

one kurs system it constantly recharges the battery from the motion of

regenerative braking so same as what your electric car does anyway all our

cars regenerative braking but a hybrid car regenerates just purely from that energy

that loss energy doesn't it runs purely purely mainly on the ice engine the ice

engine is the main form of that movement and it uses the petrol of the ice and

the driving normal driving to repower a battery to that then gets put back into the

wheels it's more efficient than an ICE better for the environment than a

ICE but it's not as good as the other two that I've just previously mentioned

we then move on to a PHEV now this is a PHEV BMW i8 a PHEV is a

vehicle that has a plug the plug powers a battery the battery powers the wheels

now being a PHEV bit also has an internal combustion engine which also

powers the wheels and also charges the battery when the battery runs low the

idea of a plug-in hybrid is you can select purely run off the battery London

taxis are PHEVs Outlanders are PHEV's a PHEV is obviously a lot better than their normal

hybrid because you if you wanted to you could run it purely off the battery and

never use a combustion engine as long as the rangers in the battery range of the

vehicle they obviously have a much smaller battery than full BEV's but

there are a lot more environmentally friendly than some of the other options

that you can get the question is where does Toyota's system fit in would you

say it's a range extender which what it sounds like a self charging hybrid

sounds like a range extender it's not a range extender

it's also not a plug-in hybrid it's also not a full BEV it's also not

self-charging what it basically is just a hybrid it

uses the ice engine and then almost like a Kurs system like Formula one like I

mentioned before it's using the motion of the wheels of slowing down

regenerative braking to charge a little battery which then puts a couple of

miles extra range onto the ice motor yes it's better for the environment than a

full ice but it's certainly not a self charging vehicle and it certainly

shouldn't be advertised as well there was nothing wrong with the term hybrid

hybrid just means exactly what's Toyota have got they're very very first

electric car was a hybrid they called it hybrid and now they've invented a new

term called a self charging hybrid which is just a way to mislead people and

consumers into buying vehicles I find that confusing so someone who doesn't

work and sort of study the electric car industry is going to find the even more

confusing than I do now the reason I've mentioned all this is I want you to go

down to the description below there's a link to the

Advertising Standards Agency and I want you to report Toyota for they're really

basically trying to take advantage of customers poor knowledge of electric

vehicles now I've not got any problems with a hybrid which doesn't have a plug

I've got no problem with it it's better than ICE car so before everyone starts

pulling in the comments no you shouldn't say this yes it is better than than a

ice car but no problem with that my issue is the confusing advertisement

that they're using and they're doing it on purpose and I think it's deliberately

misleading to fool people into thinking that it it's got some sort of fake

collection energy device it's very poor practice of Toyota they know exactly

what they're doing and they need to stop it now you might

want to know why I was making a little joke about the 12-volt battery on the

Mercedes the reason for that is self charging hybrid gives the impression

that a battery that charges itself up now 12-volt battery on any ice car

charges itself up from an alternator so does that mean that all ice cars are

self charging hybrids no it doesn't so really what Toyota should

be doing is just calling it a hybrid like everyone else thanks very much for

watching this week's video don't forget to click here to become a

patreon click here to subscribe and check out my other videos down here

thanks very much and I'll see you again next week goodbye

How The Federal Reserve Works (And Who Really Owns It) - Duration: 9:44.

The Federal Reserve: the cornerstone of the American economy.

For just over a century the Fed has overseen the financial system of the US, but its track

record has been far from perfect. Worse yet, it has such a unique and convoluted

structure that it's very difficult for people to really understand it, which is why unsurprisingly

the Fed has been subject to various conspiracy theories, from being owned by the Rothschilds

to being operated by lizard people. Today, we're going back to the dawn of American

finance to see how the Fed was created, how it works and who really owns it.

This video is brought to you by Skillshare, where you can find a ton of different classes

including my own series of videos on how the stock market works.

You can watch them for free by registering with the link in the description.

America during the late 19th century was a nation in turmoil and not just in the literal

sense. The Civil War was no doubt devastating, but

even during the peace that followed America was plagued by frequent and deep economic

depressions. The underlying cause was simple: America just

lacked a proper financial system and more importantly, it didn't have a central bank

to save the day when things turned bad. Now, keep in mind, central banking wasn't

a new concept. The Dutch were the first to come up with a

central bank in 1609 and it was instrumental in transforming the Netherlands from a swampy

backwater into a global economic empire. Following the example of the Dutch, the English

created the Bank of England in 1694, which of course became the backbone of the British

Empire. But it's exactly this association with the

British that made the Founding Fathers reluctant to use the same model in the United States.

There were two attempts at establishing a central bank even despite public opposition:

Alexander Hamilton himself led the first movement in 1791.

But in both cases the systems lasted under 20 years and did little to stabilize the situation.

And by all accounts the situation was very very bad.

Back then even a single local bank failing could result in nationwide panics.

People knew that no one could save their bank if it went bust, so as soon as rumors of insolvency

started spreading, everyone frantically started withdrawing whatever they had, bankrupting

otherwise healthy and solvent banks simply out of fear.

Such bank runs happened with frightening regularity and the depressions that followed were long

and painful. Of course, American bankers realized very

well just how bad their industry was doing. Paul Warburg, one of the great American bankers

of his day, said in 1907 that the American banking system then was at about the same

point as 15th century Italy or Babylon in 2,000 BC.

Just a few months after Warburg made that statement, the country suffered the Panic

of 1907 and it was particularly severe. To start things off, in 1906 a devastating

earthquake destroyed 80% of San Francisco. With reconstruction efforts underway, capital

was very tight and because all the money back then was in paper form it was much more difficult

to reallocate it across the country. One banker tried to abuse that by manipulating

the stock price of the United Copper company back on Wall Street.

He hoped to see his shares rise exponentially in value, but instead they crashed, dragging

down the entire stock market with them. That banker was involved in 10 different banks

across the East Coast and one after another these banks failed as people assumed they

were insolvent and withdrew all their money. Pretty soon even banks that had nothing to

do with that guy were going under, and so the fearful bankers of America turned to the

only man with the power to save them: J. P. Morgan.

Back then, John Morgan was the king of Wall Street, and even today the bank he created

is the largest one in America. He wasn't the wealthiest man at the time,

that title belonged to John Rockefeller, but Morgan was certainly the man everyone turned

to when things got bad. In October 1907 Morgan summoned the great

bankers of the day to his office at 23 Wall Street.

With the collective capital of America's big banks, Morgan arranged for the rescue

of the healthy banks that were nevertheless near bankruptcy due to irrational fears.

Virtually the same thing would happen a century later in 2008 when the government bailed out

the banks, but this time it was happening entirely thanks to private individuals like

John Morgan. Once the panic was contained, it became clear

to everyone that a central bank was necessary and Congress immediately passed legislation

to create one. However, that was pretty much the only thing

everyone agreed on: the actual details of how it would work sparked long and fierce

debates that halted any progress. The agricultural South, for example, was afraid

that a powerful central bank would give Washington and Wall Street too much power over them.

The bankers meanwhile wanted to make sure that the central bank would not be manipulated

by political interests: they wanted it to be as independent as possible from Washington.

The sheer number of competing parties made creating a central bank extremely difficult

and negotiations would in fact take over 5 years to finalize.

What's interesting though, is that these negotiations weren't happening on Capitol

Hill. Instead, they were held 600 miles south of

Washington on Jekyll Island in Georgia. That resort was home to an exclusive club

of over a hundred of the wealthiest men at the time, including John Morgan.

Of course, only a select few would help draft the actual plan for the central bank and it

wouldn't be until 1913 that legislation would actually come to pass.

The newly created Federal Reserve was truly a miracle of compromise.

To accommodate all the various interests of the diverse United States, the Fed became

a central bank unlike any other in the world. To begin with, it wasn't even a single bank,

instead it was a network of twelve regional banks each governed by local bankers and businessmen.

Some of these banks were in obvious places, like New York and Chicago, but many of the

other locations came down to politics. The Senator from Missouri, for example, was

a key vote needed to pass legislation, which why today Missouri is the only state to have

two federal reserve banks within its borders. To appease Washington, these twelve regional

banks would have a single governing body, comprised of seven people appointed by the

president and confirmed by the Senate. To limit the president's power, he can only

appoint one governor every two years with a 14-year term.

But the really unique part of the Fed's structure, and you can thank John Morgan for

that, is the fact that each regional bank is actually structured as a private corporation

that has its own stock. Here's how it works: every nationally-chartered

bank in America is required by law to keep 6% of its capital in its regional reserve

bank. In exchange, that private bank receives an

equivalent amount of shares in the regional reserve bank.

These shares, however, are quite different from the shares of public companies.

Their price is fixed at $100 per share and they cannot be sold or traded.

They carry voting rights to about two-thirds of the Board of Directors for that regional

reserve bank, but as we know the real power is in the Board of Governors appointed by

the President. What these shares do have, however, is a fixed

6% dividend per year. It's worth noting that this dividend doesn't

entitle the banks to any the Fed's profits. Instead, everything the Fed earns above that

6% payout goes directly into the Treasury. And keep in mind, the Fed is very profitable:

in 2017 it sent $80 billion to the Treasury, while only paying out $14 billion to the regular

banks that hold its stock. So who are the shareholders of the Federal

Reserve? Well, basically every big bank in America.

The full list is 150 pages long, but pretty much every name you know appears on it.

But here's the beautiful thing: most of America's big banks are public corporations.

In other words, if you want to benefit and make money off of the unique structure of

the Federal Reserve you can do that by purchasing stock in American banks.

Since ownership in the Fed depends on capital, the bigger the bank, the bigger its ownership

stake. Therefore, it would be wisest to start from

the top of the list. And speaking of the stock market, in case

you somehow missed it last month I released a 20-minute animated series of videos on how

the stock market works on Skillshare. I cover topics like how dividends get paid

out or how ETFs work and if you want to watch the full class you can register for a 2-month

free trial of Skillshare using the link in the description.

Once you've registered, search for "investing 101" or follow the link I've left in the

comments below. If you don't know, Skillshare is the best

online learning platform out there. It has thousands of different classes on a

wide variety of topics, including business and the stock market.

By the way, I want to thank all 2,000 of you who already watched my class: you've helped

make it the most popular stock market class on Skillshare and I'm thankful for that.

In fact I'm already working on a second series of videos that goes deeper into how

companies work, including valuations, buybacks, multi-class stocks and a whole bunch of other

fascinating topics. I'll let you know when that course goes

live, but until then make sure you've checked out Skillshare and my one course on it.

Anyway, thanks for watching. If you're new to Business Causal make sure

to subscribe and also consider liking this video if you enjoyed it.

As always, a big shoutout to my patrons on Patreon for supporting me and for being awesome.

You'll hear from me again in about two weeks and until then, stay smart.

Prince Harry and Meghan's new pet dog's name revealed - and it's adorable! - Duration: 3:02.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are confirmed to have adopted a new pet dog, according to royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith

The writer, who penned Prince Charles' recent biography Charles: The Misunderstood Prince, told USA Today that the rumours are true regarding the royal couple's new family addition – and that they've adopted a black Labrador named Oz

Aw! He has joined the Sussexes and their other pooch, rescue beagle Guy, at their home – where he is surely getting lots of love and fuss from dog-lover Meghan

It was reported in August that Meghan and Harry had welcomed a new canine friend after celebrating their first three months of marriage

A source told the Daily Mail: "The dog is already happily ensconced at their cottage

Like the Sussexes, the dog will divide its time between the palace and their country home in the Cotswolds

"  MORE: The very surprising public move Prince Harry made on Hamilton date night with Meghan  Meghan's love for dogs – particularly rescue dogs – has always been well-known

The former Suits actress was the proud owner of two during her time in Toronto, named Bogart and Guy

Once her engagement to Prince Harry was announced in November 2017, the star revealed that Bogart would be staying back in Canada with friends, due to his old age

Guy, however, lives in Kensington Palace and it seems he has adapted well to his new life

Just one day before the royal wedding, the adorable pet was spotted riding with the Queen in the back seat of her car in Windsor!  It's also no surprise that the dogs will be splitting their time between London and the Cotswolds

The happy couple have a four-bedroom cottage in the area that they are leasing long-term and spend long periods of time there

READ MORE: Take a peek inside Prince Harry's Eton bedroom – featuring a special tribute to Princess Diana  Previous reports have revealed the cottage "is very private, has a vast open-plan kitchen and dining area for Meghan to cook in and lots of large windows for the stunning views

" Renovation on the house started last September to make sure it was completely secure for the couple

A source has told the property is difficult to reach and the couple travel in and out by helicopter to minimise disruption on local roads

Murder Suspect Dad Chris Watts Is in 'Mourning,' Source Claims: 'It's All Beginning to Sink In' - Br - Duration: 4:41.

Teri Hatcher Is Tackling the NYC Marathon with Her Daughter: 'It's All About Running It Together' - Duration: 4:32.

Just a month before her 54th birthday in December, Teri Hatcher will be running her second marathon

"The first one I ran by myself, so it'll be really different," Hatcher tells PEOPLE

The reason why? She won't be doing the 26.2-mile run alone: Hatcher and her daughter, Emerson Tenney, will be running side-by-side at the TCS New York City Marathon on Nov

4 on behalf of the charity Save the Children. (To find out more about the organization and donate, click here

)  "We have a really close great relationship, but I think that she would say, and I agree with this, that this is different than just going on a trip or spending time together," says Hatcher

"Something about the ups and downs of training for such a physical feat as a marathon — that sort of vulnerability, the adversity that you have to get through and pushing through walls together — and having that experience as a team; it's just a bonding thing that you can't really replace or have from any other experience

And I think we both wanted that together."  Twenty-year-old Tenney, who is studying at Brown University with a concentration in Literary Arts, is equally excited about the mother-daughter bonding experience

"For me, it's all about running it together. As incredible of a physical achievement as a marathon is, that has never been my main motivation," Tenney shares

"I want to run the NYC marathon because I want to run it with my mom. I'm grateful that as I get older, we can share so many experiences together, and I'm lucky that my mom is such a badass that she's able to inspire me and push me to try things outside of my comfort zone," says Tenney

"At the end of the day, I think we inspire each other and that's what the marathon is all about for me — celebrating mother-daughter relationships and the strength those relationships can give us to overcome obstacles

"  To prepare for the marathon, the pair have been working under the guidance of TrainingMate founder Luke Milton, who has them on a strength training and running program

"It basically involves a couple of shorter, medium-length runs a week and one longer run and then some strength training on other days," says L

A.-based Hatcher.  Although this will be Hatcher's second time running a long-distance race, she admits that running isn't her favorite physical activity

"I don't think either of us love running," she says of herself and Tenney. "I keep thinking there's going to be a day when I actually truly love it, but the truth is, I'm not sure that I've ever loved any workout

… But what I do love is afterwards. I love the endorphin feeling; I love knowing that I've reached an accomplishment," says Hatcher, adding that she prefers cycling

She also recognizes the positive impact physical activity has on mental health

"I absolutely think exercise — whether it's running or interval training — is really paramount to good mental health," says the actress

In addition to leading an active lifestyle, Hatcher also maintains a healthy diet

"Food-wise, I think the easiest thing is really just — and it's not that genius — but it's: eat real food

Eat your whole foods. The farther you stay away from processed anything, I think it's better and you don't have to make it much more complicated than that," she shares

Having had a successful decades-long career in Hollywood, the Desperate Housewives alum — she starred as Susan Mayer from 2004 to 2012 — understands the pressures that can come with being in front of the camera

But over time, and now being in her 50s, she's learned to focus less on the exteriors and instead prioritize strength

"I guess the fortunate thing about aging is that you get an opportunity to be less critical of some exterior package and more focused on who you are as a human being," she says

"When you're over 50 — and I think this should be the way it is no matter what age you are — I think it's actually easier when you're older to be less lured into feeling like you have to define yourself by how you look in a bikini
