- (dramatic music)

- Hi. I'm Billy, and I was a non-voter.

- [Group] Hi Billy.

- Welcome to Non-Voters Anonymous,

a group where we talk about the times we didn't vote

and how this year, on November 6th,

we're going to change that.

Look, when I was in college,

I didn't vote in many midterm elections.

I was busy shotgunning beers

and watching 3rd Rock from the Sun,

but I vow to vote this November

because I want a say in the direction

our country is going in.

Who's next?

You, why didn't you vote?

- Hi, I'm Trevor.

- [Group] Hi Trevor.

- And I didn't vote because, like,

so boring.

- That's a good point Trevor.

- Instead of voting I was probably having sex.

- Right.

Look, voting isn't as cool as watching The Nun in 3D,

or watching pimple popping videos on YouTube,

but voting affects everything Trevor,

the economy, health care, the environment,

and if you don't vote who's to say

what happens to Post Malone.

You.

- Hi, I'm Christina.

- [Group] Hi Christina.

- And I've never voted before

because I don't know where I'm supposed to go.

- Same.

- Oh, Christina.

Once you're registered to vote,

it's actually really easy to search online

and find out where your polling place is.

It's usually some place like a community center

or a school gym and

not some place fun

like the Minions ride at Universal Studios.

I love those little Minions,

next.

- My name is Don.

- [Group] Hi Don.

- I didn't vote because I was a student,

and I was working at the same time,

so I didn't have time to research--

- You know what, we're all busy Don.

You were a student,

and I'm working in major motion pictures and TV shows.

Voting is like a Childish Gambino video Don.

It's very important.

(foreboding music)

Next.

- Hi everybody. I'm Dave.

- [Group] Hi Dave.

- And I just didn't vote

because I didn't think my vote mattered.

- Dave, how old are you?

- 27.

I'm 31.

- 31. Yeah, I thought so.

Let me tell you something Dave.

Anyone under 35, you guys are in the most

influential voting block if you actually go and vote.

You have the power, now you just have to use it.

We've all had our reasons

for skipping elections in the past,

but now we realize the importance of voting on November 6th.

Let's all hold hands

and recite the non-voters oath together.

- [All] Despite having missed elections in the past,

I vow to vote this November.

I won't make excuses,

and I will be home in time to watch NCIS: New Orleans

or whatever Tuesday night shows I like. Amen.

- Whew.

- If I'm over 35, do I still have to vote?

- Yes. Everyone can vote.

You can vote

in your 40s,

50s,

60s,

70s.

- 80s, stay home.

- Yeah, 80 is too old,

what's the point?

- Give a shit, and vote this November.

- Make a plan to vote, now.

- If you're not gonna vote this November,

what's wrong with you?

- If you don't vote this November, you're dead to me.

- Camila Cabello and I will be so grateful.

(patriotic music)

- [Narragtor] To register to vote, and find out

where and how to vote, go to NRDC.ORG/VOTE2018.

Gadoosh.

Knew me Or New me - Duration: 4:53.

Had just succumbed the phase of listening to Miley Cyrus & Selena Gomez,

When I had this drastic shift of focus.

See the thing is, I can't exactly say that I was a nerd, or had a fixed object for attention,

But social gatherings and conversations with people was not an art I was at perfection.

You was the change-maker, the butterflies-giver, the every sought of good palpitation,

To my untamed and uncivilized heart of low reputation.

All I knew of love was through you, be it easy, be it rough.

And believe me even today I smell your perfume everytime someone mentions love.

You were the first, You broke the myth that I knew all my emotions

because clearly, you gave me a brand-new thirst.

Maybe that's why I felt parched when the W in "we" turned to an M in "me"

in our tale.

Gulping my own saliva time and again to compensate for the words I couldn't speak,

The feelings I couldn't feel, the wounds that wouldn't heal and for the faith, the

faith I gave up for sale.

I felt the impact of gravity doubling on me, As if I had locked the doors of sanity and

forgot the key.

I soaked myself in the darkness of my head, my nose, my stomach and even my toes.

Flipped myself on fire till crusts of indifference was formed with precision,

A new girl, there she goes.

I saw a new self of me evolving from the old chronicles,

The old skin but one which glittered in dark tunnels.

The same mind, but so flawlessly adopting new adventures and choices so unimaginably

fancy Probably understanding the futility of stagnancy.

I hooked myself onto Joey, Monica, Ross, Pheobe, Rachel

And unapologetically fell in love with Chandler and John Green's characters Augustus and

Hazel.

Now if you get these references, you know how I had companions in my solitude,

No, I was not depressed, I wouldn't belittle that word because I was happy with an uncanny

gratitude.

Now when you knock the door again hoping to find me with the same affection,

I'm sorry but at times it would be Marlyn Monroe holding her dress against some

celestial levitation,

Or Lionel Richie singing Hello or Ruskin Bond's foster child writing a masterpiece.

All that would be me but you'd look through me and not recognize me.

To you my helpless apologies.

It is infuriating that poets only stress at the agony of a broken heart,

Dear grief-stricken people, there is revival, renewal and strength as a counterpart.

Thank you for gifting me numbness, I accidentally identified the beauty inside me,

The magic of my flickering mind, at times preferring coffee and at others a strong cup

of tea.

Pain is humour.

Reality is unavoidable.

But power, the power of self is magnificent.

The nakedness of my soul has begun to nourish itself with a faith so incandescent,

No, not in you, or him or her but in a girl who rose above herself

And has changed and will change.

I have Faith in my changing self.

Divine Slasher or Reaver Calamity? SHOWDOWN | Explanation video | Eng sub | Ita dub | MHW - Duration: 14:28.

Welcome to my channel guys

I'm Grottesco Peppe and today, after a lot of time,

I'll bring you an interesting video in which I'll talk about the issue:

''Reaver Calamity or Divine Slasher?'' Which one is the best?

Before starting the video I just wanna let you know that this video

will be specific as much as possible

I'll only talk about long swords and in particulary about divine slasher and reaver calamity.

(I never remember the name in italian)

If you are interested at this mechanic of the game in a general way

I'll let you 3 useful links down below in the description

Let's start talking about how to calculate the damage on mhw

On the screen you'll find all the stuff I'm gonna say

First of all we start from the true damage, that is actually the real damage you deal when hitting a monster's part.

(a specific modifier for every type of weapon)

These modifier are hidden of course

If you are curious about modifiers of the other weapons, you can find down below the link

After that you have to multiply the number obtained by a modifier of the sharpness

We have different colours of sharpness (see on screen)

More is the sharpness, the more is this modifier

Consequently more sharpness you have, the more damage you deal

But pay attention this is only a consequence

With longsword the sharpness is a little different...

In fact our sharpness modifier isn't 1.32, but 1.45

This is because the long sword, in older chapters, benefited from a special sharpness bonus. This bonus was given once you reloaded the spirit's bar.

This bonus was worth 13% (in mhw you benefit from this bonus yet)

So let's sum

There is another hidden modifier in mhw when using the ls

which was also present on mhfu

we're talking about 5% of attack bonus

So when we hit a part of the monster (or the column in this case) with the center of the blade

the damage will be slightly higher

After that we multiply by the motion value

when we do a overhead slash this motion value is worth 0.25

It's always a modifier as the last two were (also as the monster armor that we'll see later)

I was saying the motion value of the overhead slash, the attack with Triangle or Y

We multiply this number by the number previously obtained

After that we multiply all this by the monster armor

In this case we take the column armor of the training area

If the weapon has also elemental attack, this one is added to the raw damage

The sharpness modifier for element is the same of the sharpness modifier but applied to the element

Finally we multiply all this by the monster armor for element

(every monster has either a raw weak and an elemental one)

We take into account the column

(the training area column is weak to all elements equally)

This modifier changes on which part of the monster you hit, like the monster armor for raw damage.

After this super-boring introduction to how to calculate the long sword damage on mhw

Let's finally talk about the two long swords we are here for, Divine slasher and reaver calamity!

The first one has (see on screen)

(we simply divide it by his modifier)

Since divine shasher has no elemental attack,

we can apply the elementless bonus on it (which is a multiplier of his raw damage)

(we'll use this bonus on every set of course)

(multiply this by his sharpness modifier)

Then we multiply by the motion value of the overhead slash

At the end we multiply by the column armor

Divine slasher stops here.

If we calculate correctly, we should get the number predetermined, which is 59

Actually the real number is 58.61625, but the game round it up.

We did good, in fact we obtain 59!

(without hitting a critical hit of course)

Let's have a look at the pickle's sword.

The reaver calamity starts with 759 of attack and 210 of element

Initially focus on the raw damage

(we simply divide by his modifier)

(we just multiply by the white sharpness modifier

(multiply by the motion value...)

(multiply by the column armor...)

This time the game round this number down.

We immediately notice that the difference between Divine slasher raw and reaver calamity one is just 1 point

(If you remember well, the divine slasher had 59 of raw damage)

Let's talk about the element

(divide it by 10)

(multiply by the sharpness modifier for element)

(multiply by the column armor for element)

7.0875 is round down by the game to 7.

Let's sum the raw damage with the element

If we calculate correctly, we should get 65 as the damage on the column

Practice confirmes our theory.

On the column the reaver calamity deals more damage of course

so has the reaver calamity always been better than divine slasher? (The raw difference is just one point, but the reaver calamity has also the element!)

The answer is pretty EZ...

NO

That's where a fondamental factor comes in.

We're talking about AFFINITY

Before the Behemoth's patch

hunting with divine slasher was almost always better.

This is because the damage accumulated during the entire hunt

was higher than the damage accumulated during the same hunt but using the reaver calamity

There were few examples where the reaver calamity did better

And we talk about monsters super-weak to dragon and during hunts very short

With the coming of the behemoth and his 100% broken set

We now have the possibility to create every set with 100% affinity

Either we hunt with divine slasher or with reaver calamity

we always have 100% affinity

that -25% on the reaver calamity...

DISAPPEARS

No more penalities for reaver calamity

(Only using behemoth or AT teostra's set)

25% matches + 1/4 of damage if we crit

- 1/4 of damage if we negatively crit

At this point in the game, the reaver calamity is above divine slasher

(Using 100% affinity set, watch out!!)

There are few monsters that has 0% weak to dragon

Consequently it will be almost always better to use reaver calamity than divine slasher

I apologize to pc users

because at this point in the game (without behemoth or AT teostra's set)

You can't create a set with 100% affinity yet

using reaver calamity

Thus for PC players, divine slashers (in most cases) is still above.

For PS and XboX players that manage to create this broken set, I can only say: ''Use it!''

In that case Reaver calamity is above.

I really hope I just remove all the doubts of the people who had conflicting opinions about the validity of these two long swords

A lot of people wrote about this issue in the comment section (seeing me playing only with LS)

''What is better, divine slasher or reaver calamity'' - they wrote me

I always tried to answer in an accurate way as much as I could

but I always had problems to communicate because of typing restrictions that limited my expression's power

So I decided to upload a video, unite al the ideas and clarify this topic once for all

This question was the most frequent one

I thank you for watching this video

I hope you appreciate my work on this video

if so you can like this video and subscribe :)

subscribe also to stay tuned to my channel ;)

ONE LAST THING BEFORE THE VIDEO ENDS:

I just wanted to let you know that, in this period, I stopped playing mhw

I restarted playing mhfu

No more speedruns on mhw because I'm not training on it anymore

I'm just training on mhfu

as soon as I'll read them, I'll answer them!

Again, goodbye and thank you!

How to know if the yeast is good or bad - Duration: 2:52.

Hello Friend how are you?

I'm Svieta.

Today I'm going to show you how to check the validity of yeast, if it's still good and working

or not anymore

Let's see how to check the validity of baker's yeast, which is used

to make bread and pastries, like yeast rust type chemistry, also known as

baking powder and used to make cupcakes and muffins.

It is so that you avoid possible dislikes and do not waste your money.

Let's see how to check if it's good or not dry baker's yeast, yeast

of fresh baker and chemical yeast also known as the yeast type royal

or baking powder.

Grab a teaspoon of chemical yeast or baking powder and put it on a saucer.

Add 1 tablespoon of hot water.

The water to be so hot, that when you put The finger can not hold more than 1 second.

The reaction (bubbles and noise) ensures that the chemical yeast is good, that you can

use it to make sponge cake and muffins.

If there is no reaction, it is bad.

To check the validity of dry yeast of bakery put in a glass 2 - 3 tablespoons

of warm water by pulling hot, that at feel your finger hot

But without burning you.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.

Add 1/2 tsp. of dry or granulated yeast.

Stir and leave the mixture at rest about 10-15 minutes

After this time the yeast is in conditions will have been activated.

You will know that yeast is good when when removing it, the bubbles appear, as

If it were sparkling water or sparkling wine.

If there are no bubbles, buy the new yeast.

The validity of fresh baker's yeast it is verified exactly the same.

In a glass put 2 - 3 tablespoons of warm water pulling hot.

Add 1/2 tsp. of sugar.

Add a piece of yeast, the size of the nail of the big finger, about 2 - 3 grams.

Stir very well and leave the mixture at rest About 10 minutes.

The little bubbles that appear indicate that with This yeast can make bread and rolls.

If there are no bubbles, buy the new yeast.

Tell me in the comments what you think the psi video you liked the tips.

And in the case that you have one more, and you want to share it, I would be delighted

to read it.

If you liked the video, share it in Social networks with your friends.

10 Fiendish or Fabulous Meat Eating and Moving Plants - Duration: 11:24.

Moving plants and carnivorous plants are a novel concept popularly portrayed in science

fiction horror of the botanical genre.

We all know Little Shop of Horrors.

But in reality, motile, active plants are a real thing and go beyond the Venus Flytraps

of bug-eating fame.

While they certainly do not hunt humans, the reality of motile plants and carnivorous plants

is worth discovering.

In this list, we discover plants that are motile and carnivorous, simply carnivorous,

or simply motile in some way.

The phenomenon is known as Rapid Plant Movement, which could be abbreviated "RPM," recalling

measures of mechanical motor speed.

10.

Bladderwort

Ponds may seem tranquil and filled with leisurely and strange water bugs going their different

ways, but below the surface, minute networks of bladders lurk, connected to their plants

and awaiting the chance to snap shut, capturing food coming into contact with the bladders.

Insect eating or otherwise carnivorous plants are frequently associated with land based

environments, but bladderwort lurks in aquatic zones where water is fairly stagnant but populated

with ample minute prey.

Insects, worms and other invertebrates may be eaten by these plants.

Native to lakes, slow moving rivers, pools, and even waterlogged ground, bladderwort species

are found digesting their prey around the globe.

Lacking any roots, the bladderwort plant relies upon the capture of live prey to provide essential

nutrition to keep the plant alive, along with the benefits of some photosynthesis.

Certain larger species, such as the Greater Bladderwort, may eat larger prey items than

mere insects and micro-crustaceans.

Vertebrate prey items including small fish fry and tadpoles may be consumed by large

bladderwort species and turned into liquid nutrition.

Bladderwort plants sport attractive flowers that protrude above the surface of the water,

catching the eye of human admirers and pollinators alike while the feast goes on below.

9.

Triggerplant

Pollination apparently takes work and effort to bring commensurate results.

The trigger plants are almost entirely restricted to Australia, where they pollinate insects

by selectively reacting to certain species and "choosily" opting to release their

pollen in a trigger-like fashion on some insects and not on others.

Upon landing on a trigger plant, the insect will be struck in what seems like a predatory

assault, hit by a trigger mechanism.

But the trigger plants do not kill the unwary insect.

Instead, the insect is being forcefullydusted with pollen through the strike.

Once that action has been deftly completed, the insect will leave the flower, landing

on another flower, seemingly unbothered.

This next flower upon which the insect is preparing to land will be primed to receive

pollen, completing the entire pollination cycle.

Interestingly, the plants are considered to be "semi-carnivorous" since there is evidence

that in addition to being pollinated by insects dusted by their striking mechanism, sticking

hairs positioned on the back of the flowers and below the blossoms also can lethally trap

miniature insects.

The trigger plants appear to be able to subsequently harvest and digest the carcasses of these

little insects to a degree, gaining a measure of nutrients from the remains.

8.

Tropical Pitcher Plants

Tropical pitcher plants do not exactly move around or wave and clap like some carnivorous

plants, but their methodology of trapping is brilliant.

Elongated stems contain pitchers with an enticing fluid that brings insects close to drink,

then fall to their death and nourish the plant.

Native to the old world tropical regions, the relatively huge pitcher plant species

of the genus Nepenthes are far too small to be capable of the awful human devouring behavior

of fiction depicted onscreen and in books by man eating plants, but they can engage

in some shocking acts of plant on animal predation.

The fluid which fills up the plant's namesake pitchers is not only attractive to passing

prey but also highly viscous, resisting attempts by captured victims to escape.

Incredibly, not only insects but rats may be eaten by a particularly large species known

as Nepenthes rajah.

While infrequent, entrapment and digestion of such mammalian "trespassers" occurs

and provides a good dose of nutrition to the well adapted giant pitcher plants that trap

them.

Opportunistic drinking behavior by monkeys has been observed, where these cousins of

humans "steal" from the plant by drinking their trap fluid then leaving, being much

too large and powerful to be targeted by the plant.

7.

Sensitive Plant

Well named, the peculiar Sensitive Plant looks simple and ordinary, resembling a small fern,

but moves like lightning, as far as a plant is concerned, folding its leaves upon being

touched.

Furthermore, the motion can be set off at any time with a simple human touch.

The plant, also amusingly called a Shame Plant or Shy Plant is a native species of Central

American and South American regions.

The plant actually sweeps its multiple leaf fronds inward upon contact with humans.

The dramatic and seemingly animal-like or otherwise biomechanical movement is clearly

visible in a matter of seconds and recalls a folding Chinese fan.

The species is successful, having spread all around the globe in suitable climate zones.

However, the exact purpose of the folding response to any kind of touch to the plant's

leaves remains a subject of speculation by botanists and plant fanciers alike.

Possible reasons for the folding put forward include avoidance of predators or a way to

avoid excessive losses of water in warm environments, which could potentially damage the delicate

leaves.

The plant typically grows under larger plants such as shrubs or trees, and while originating

as a vertical stemmed plant, develops a trailing habit over time, sometimes reaching five feet

in length.

6.

Sundew

A frequently mentioned species among greenhouse enthusiasts, Sundew species are also among

the worst for possible plants for hungry insects to encounter.

Occurring on all the world's landmasses save for Antarctica, Sundew are generally

stubby-looking plants that deceptively attract insects, hold them fast, and then dissolve

such prey in a digestive process all with the help of their numerous mucilaginous glands

that extend from the plant in stalk form.

Comprised of leaves and stems with club-like glands covered in fluid secreting tentacles,

Sundew plants are eye-catching and perfectly adapted to catch insects that are drawn to

the plant.

The sweet compounds released by the tentacles not only appeals to insects but functions

as a type of entrapping glue once sampled.

Furthermore, the all-purpose compound contains numerous enzymes that begin digestion of the

prey once trapped.

Due to the secretions of fluid from the well named plants worldwide sparkle in the light,

Sundew plants sparkle brilliantly in the light, making them a top choice for enthusiasts,

though they are notably hard to grow.

A diverse group, sundews consist of an assortment of over 190 species.

Interestingly, while many are herbaceous, elongated and thin climbing sundew species

can extend as they grow.

Drosera erythrogyne may even climb 10 feet.

5.

Waterwheel Plant

Beneath the surface, little known carnivorous water plants are busy making their best effort

as gatherers of aquatic prey, primarily small insects.

Bladderworts are not the only category of plants engaged in this activity.

The interestingly named Waterwheel Plant Aldrovanda vesiculosa boasts wheel-shaped leaf structures

that extend from the central stem.

Peculiar in appearance, the entirely aquatic plant is a voracious consumer of insects,

crustaceans and other tiny aquatic animals that get close enough to be captured and consumed

by the plant's feeding apparatus.

The global distribution of species includes parts of Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia.

The whorl-shaped leaves that together form a series of wheel-like structures hold traps

with a cupping action at each leaf end within the wheel.

Hair triggers, if touched, will set off the prey capture response.

At any moment prey brushes against the hair triggers, the traps close at high speeds,

going from open to shut in either a quarter or a half second.

Interestingly, the aquatic adaptations of the plant might mask its surprising true identity.

While resembling some types of pondweed at first glance, the masterfully adapted catcher

of tiny water animals is actually a relative of the much better known and land based Venus

Flytrap plants that hunt airborne and crawling insects.

4.

Telegraph Plant

While many moving plants are well known, even notorious for drowning and devouring insects

in vats of digestive fluid or slamming spiny trap doors shut prior to feeding on them,

a simpler purpose for being a moving plant exists.

A known curiosity, the Telegraph Plant Codariocalyx motorius which bears the name motorius in

reference to its peculiar powers of movement is a deceptively ordinary looking plant that

will certainly catch your eye when you watch it position itself.

The purpose of this plant's movement is to maximize its ability to harvest sunlight.

Native to the Asian tropics, the plant is known for moving its leaflets at sufficient

speeds to be detected by the human eye.

Standing upright with tall, straight stems, the green plant with purple flowers bears

oval-shaped leaves with spindly attachments to the main stem.

Like a living sundial, the leaves align themselves by tracking the movement of the sun as you

watch.

Also known as the dancing plant and semaphore plant, the telegraph plant is a species that

was first described in the year 1880 by Charles Darwin himself.

The environment in which this plant typically grows is rainforest, where this remarkably

well adapted plant must compete with taller species for available sunlight.

3.

Squirting Cucumber

Cucumbers might not come to mind as the most "active" of plants, seemingly heavy and

sedentary vines that produce massive edible fruits that are treated more like a vegetable.

Yet, there is a type of cucumber that defies imagination and takes seed locomotion to a

dramatic new level among cucumbers and other members of the squash family.

The Ecballium genus plants, known as the Squirting Cucumbers, possess a remarkable means of spreading

their kind.

When ripe, Squirting Cucumbers, true to their name blast out a stream of fluid filled with

seeds.

The fuzzy leaved plant achieves its results by producing grenade shaped fruits that launch

seeds up to 20 feet away from the plant!

Interestingly, squirting cucumbers, unlike the plethora of edible squash species are

absolutely not to be eaten.

Any piece or component of the plant may result in death if consumed by humans, being highly

poisonous.

The strange plants have a hairy and dark appearance, with a size of up to two feet, while the fruits

may measure two inches in length.

Squirting cucumbers are native to dry habitats in the Mediterranean region.

As a result of their exceptional means of seed spreading, squirting cucumbers have gained

considerable interest as a curiosity of among some fanciers as extraordinary horticultural

novelties.

2.

Venus Flytrap

The Venus Flytrap may be incredibly famous for good reason, but this species, that is

on the surface familiar, actually deserves deeper coverage than it usually gets on this

list of moving plants.

Interestingly, a combination of sticky fluid and tooth-like structures that hold in prey

between the "clamshells" once captured add to the appearance of this species, which

stands out as remarkably animal-like in its "jawed" capture of prey.

Not only insects, but even small frogs may be caught and consumed.

Native to North and South Carolina wetlands, the Venus Flytrap was flagged by Charles Darwin

as a plant species that was "one of the most wonderful in the world."

Venus Flytrap plants can grow up to five inches in height, while each individual trap on the

plant is lined with spiky "teeth" that act as bars imprisoning an insect caught when

the trap is triggered.

Once caught, the insect is digested by juices and nutrients are extracted.

Then, the trap opens again and inedible parts spill out, leaving the trap ready to capture

a new meal for the plant.

Fascinatingly, the Venus Flytrap is "smart," being "programmed" to "count" taps

from an insect before committing to a capture, preventing debris from being trapped and an

ill-fated digestion attempt being made.

1 tap puts the plant on alert; two shuts the trap, while three more taps will initiate

the digestion sequence.

1.

Witch Hazel

Witch Hazel may be familiar as a medicinal herb, but like the Sandbox Tree we've talked

about before, the plant shoots its seeds to distances of up over 30 feet.

You certainly wouldn't want a Witch Hazel seed in the eye!

Four species of Witch Hazel plant occur in North America, while China is home to a single

species with one species also found in Japan.

Used for external medicinal applications, the plant is a seemingly ordinary looking

shrub typically growing low and being located in the forest understory layer, though heights

of 30 feet may be attained by some specimens.

An exceptionally late bloomer, Witch Hazel is commonly the final shrub to produce blossoms

in North America.

The seeds take an incredibly long time to reach maturity, that is, one year.

As a result, seeds from the prior year are often juxtaposed with blossoms from the current

year.

When the seeds are ready, the stored up kinetic energy they hold is released in violent and

spectacularly effective seed pod bursts.

Maximizing the spatial distribution of witch hazel seedlings, seeds from exploding pods

are spread around in a bb gun fashion before sprouting into new shrubs.

Friends with Benefits Play Truth or Drink (Tomas & Crissy) | Truth or Drink | Cut - Duration: 5:42.

- What would happen, if you got pregnant?

- [Interviewer] Would you guys keep it?

Alright.

- I'm Chrissy.

- I'm Tomas and we're friends with benefits.

- [Interviewer] What are the benefits?

- Great sex.

Yeah, I moved here from Nebraska for a job

and then we met shortly after I moved.

- Because we work together.

- And sleeping with each other has been going on since like

- Two months ago, three months ago maybe?

We're just like look, this needs to be done

and it's nothing personal.

I think we should take a shot to that.

To besties with benies.

- Cheers.

- Alright, I'm going first.

What are the terms of this relationship?

- One thing we decided on was

like making it like rare,

or less frequently case I realized, for me personally,

and I think we ended up talking about this,

but if we just were doing it all the time,

that messes up the dynamic,

so it was like let's just do this

when we both 100% know we want to

and the add out will be less often,

but it'll help like maintain our friendship

and what we got going on.

- Which is pretty good.

- Yeah, which is great sex I guess.

I don't know how deep this is gonna get.

- I know that's--

- You ready?

- Yeah.

- This is gross.

Where's the

where's the weirdest place we've had sex?

- You know the answer to that.

I can't, we're both taking a shot.

- [Interviewer] Was it at work?

- What's the kinkiest thing you'd like to try with me?

Yeah, I'm interested to hear.

- There's like a lot of ways to answer that.

There's like having a three way.

- Yes.

- Candidates, if you wanna message us, who knows?

Like mild BDSM, like tying up or blindfold, you're choking,

or hair pulling.

This is

When are you gonna introduce me to your parents?

- October 5th.

They're coming the fifth through the ninth.

They're definitely not gonna think that we sleep together.

- [Interviewer] Are you gonna tell them?

- God, no.

Mom, if you see this, I'm so sorry.

You should've stopped watching like so long ago.

Oh shit, this will be fun.

On the count of three,

name who likes who more

- [Interviewer] One,

- in the relationship. - [Interviewer] Two, three.

- You. - Me.

I agree, I agree.

That's okay though.

- [Interviewer] And you're certain

that sleeping with each other won't ruin

you starting a relationship with someone?

- I mean, I don't think it will be hard to, oh, God, yeah.

- If that person has an issue with it

that would be a red flag to me.

- Yeah.

- [Interviewer] I'm saying if I started dating you,

seriously, and I was like

oh this is the guy that you work with--

- If you started dating,

- What are you trying to say?

I'll just cross that bridge when I get there.

I have yet to find somebody even interesting enough

to tell that I have friends with benefits.

- I think they would meet me and they would understand.

They wouldn't like.

They would see our dynamic and they would understand

like the nature of our friendship.

- Do we even understand the nature of our friendship?

Two months.

- No.

Alright.

Are you afraid of commitment?

Honestly I'll take a shot too cause I--

- Absolutely.

- I also am afraid of commitment.

- I'm afraid of commitment

cause I was just in a relationship.

I wanna like

I wanna be like romantic with somebody,

without having to be like

okay, we're gonna get married,

like that's what it was with that other guy.

- [Interviewer] So is that why?

Is that why this is working for you guys?

- Kind of, we're not really

like romantic with each other though.

So that is like lacking for me.

- And I get that from other people,

which also I think kinda helps

because I can be romantic with other people

and like we're not having sex yet so

it's like I get the sex here, you know?

- I'm like having sex while I'm not romantic with anybody.

- I get both, I get the best of both worlds.

- Oh it must be fucking nice, Tomas.

- It is nice, and you did a really nice accent.

- Is it really nice?

Okay.

Interesting.

Why would it be bad for us

to be in a committed relationship?

- Oh, man.

When I wanna be in a committed relationship,

or like long term relationship with someone,

I just immediately, I'm like completely infatuated

with them and I just don't have that feeling towards you.

- I think that that sums it up pretty well.

We both are going to grad schools and stuff.

- We're going our separate ways.

- [Interviewer] Do you guys have any chance

of going to the same grad school?

- Not with Chrissy's GPA.

- Are you fucking kidding me?

My GPA is better than yours, bitch.

- I just wanted to make that joke, I'm sorry.

- Triggered.

- Do you love me?

- Of course I love you,

but am I in love with you?

- Do you love me?

- So am I in love with you, that,

is a loaded question.

- [Interviewer] Are you in love with her?

- I'm in love with you as a friend.

- As a friend.

Yeah, I'm in love with you as a friend, Tomas.

- I love you.

- Yellow heart.

I sent him a red heart emoji one time

and he responded with

"I think you meant to send a yellow heart emoji,

"because yellow is the color for friendship."

I was like, you bitch.

Çağatay Ulusoy or Aras Bulut İynemli - who better manage his career? - Duration: 3:17.

Çağatay Ulusoy or Aras Bulut İynemli - who better manage his career?

Turkish bloggers lifted the veil of secrecy behind the scenes

of the series Insider and Çukur.

At the same time praising Çağatay Ulusoy for his cleverness.

As it turns out, the actor had a contract to shoot for two TV series of Ay Yapim company

and he fulfilled all his obligations under the contract.

However, he immediately warned the producers that he was not going to do the second season

of the Insider series.

This did not stop CEO of Ay Yapim company Kerem Çatay,

who promised Show TV channel several seasons

of Içerde, if things go well, ignoring the warning of the actor

(don't worry we'll convince him).

In May 2017, Çağatay signed an agreement with Netflix, warning once again that in any

case he was leaving and there will be no continuation of Sarp Yilmaz's story for him.

TV channel demanded that the TV company "continue the show" as agreed.

The producers of Ay Yapim had a problem - either to kill Sarp and continue without him,

which would most likely kill the ratings, or come up with something new.

The compromise was found - Kerem Çatay offered Show TV the new series Çukur

practically with the same team, assuring that the same audience will watch the new show.

According to bloggers, Çağatay did the right thing.

After seeing the first series of the second season of çukur they realized that

Aras Bulut İynemli is the leading character only nominally,

as the action develops in several directions at once.

Being an actor is not so difficult, but to become a superstar is difficult, it depends

on a well-formed career and, of course, smart managers who need to tell the actor when he

becomes a " stock character"

Should I invest in Content or Advertising? | Truly Social with Tara - Duration: 6:14.

- Several times over the past couple of months,

I've encountered conversations with current

and potential clients where they bring up a false dichotomy.

I keep hearing things like, we don't have the budget to

spend on content, it's all ear-marked for Facebook ads, or

I'm trying to figure out whether we should spend our

marketing budget on content or advertising, to which I reply

- Whatchu talkin' about, Willis?

- You're spending your entire budget on Facebook ads?

What's in those ads and, what are the results?

The worst part is that the answer to my question

about results ranges from well, not really sure yet

to enormous cost per acquisition.

Digging deeper I find out that at some point they were

also this bill of goods from an ad agency that said they

would get x amount results from y amount of spend, and that

they wouldn't need to pay for strategy or content at all.

- I'm sorry what?

- So I'm here to tell you that you've been sold

a false dichotomy, spending y amount won't result in x

results automatically, paid and content with a strategy

can actually help you spend less of y to achieve more of x.

- Put um together and what do you got, Biddidi-Bobbidi-Boo

x plus y equals y.

- Let me tell you how, my name is

Tara and this is Truly Social.

(upbeat music)

- I think that the best way to explain this is to present

a case study where names and a few other details

have been changed in order to protect the anonymity

of a client but I reassure you that the data is real.

- I believe you too, see the quotations I'm making with

my claw hand, it means I don't believe you.

- As per my opening, I had a conversation with this client

where they told me that they were spending pretty much

all of their social media budget on Facebook ads it was a

pretty healthy budget too for their market size, they were

spending around $75,000 per month on Facebook ads alone.

The "content" of these ads, a video that they had

professionally produced, now it was a lovely video

and had a great clear message but that was it.

One video with five different messages introducing it.

So at first they got lots of click-throughs and

Facebook even recorded a pretty decent number of

"conversions" which was equivalent to someone filling in a

form for more information on their website.

- More preaching to the converted.

- Their cost per conversion was around $400 which may

sound high but I calculate that their customer lifetime

value is around $50,000 so it's actually pretty good.

The question though that I had was,

are those qualified leads, are the people that filled

out the form actually gonna become customers?

Now deeper investigations into the results show that

the answer to that question was no.

- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

- There were three qualified leads as a result of

three months of running this campaign which made

the actual cost of acquisition $75,000 per person.

- Yikes.

- Meanwhile, less expensive tactics, traditional ones like

one to one and sales teams and going to conferences well

they were bringing in fewer leads but more qualified leads.

Now meanwhile, this ad agency they hired was reporting

amazing results and not really taking responsibility

for the fact that their leads well they weren't

qualified or actually converting.

They actually said we did our job, we can drive a horse

to water but we can't make them drink.

- I could drink.

- That's horse *beep*, this is where a strategy

and better content come into play.

Nobody even asked if Facebook was the right platform.

- Spoiler alert, they do not add up.

- So, we researched the audience, created a content

strategy that was relevant to that audience,

found the right platforms and the right means to pay,

which actually included search.

Then we made sure we worked with our clients

to track in-ad metrics so we could hone

and tweet the mix until we got it right.

At the end of the day, they took $15,000 of that $75,000

spend and put it into strategy content and active listening

which created better results for a smaller paid budget.

- Wow, it's much better than finding a nickel.

- In another case, we were working independently

from an ad agency where we worked on a content strategy

where we boosted each post for about $200 across multiple

platforms to increase the reach of those posts.

And they created a pure ad strategy, so there wasn't

the dichotomy there but we weren't exactly working together.

- I need to stop being a frenemy.

- However, an analysis about four months into our

publishing strategy, showed that our content was

converting 70 percent better than the ads.

So our content which was just meant to create

relationships and trust and grow brand

was actually driving more leads in the ads itself.

- Have a gold star.

- So the point of all of this is that, you should not

be asking whether you should be spending your money

on content or advertising, instead you should be asking

how they can work really effectively together.

- So instead we should settle our differences and live

together in harmony for the rest of our days.

- With the right content targeted at the right audience

and the right platforms mixed with the smart ads strategy

that goes way beyond Facebook, seriously what is it

about Facebook that makes everybody froth at the mouth at

this moment, there is more to the internet than Facebook.

- Who would deliberately use Facebook

in such a horribly reckless way?

- It is a false dichotomy to pit content against

advertising, any one of these without the other

will result in an inefficient spend of your money.

Without great content, your ads will cost you way more than

they should, without ads, your content may not

find its way in front of the right audience.

But together they make the other great.

- Working together in harmony.

- So you think you can't afford content, well think again,

I can almost guarantee you that the combination of the two,

content and ads will cost you no more than just advertising

on its own and well, most likely less.

My name is Tara and this has been Truly Social.
