10 TIPS for Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party 2018! - Duration: 17:00.

if you're going to the Mickey's

not-so-scary Halloween party at Walt

Disney World this fall 2018 stay tuned

because in this video I'm going to share

with you 10 very important tips or 10

things you should know before going

hello everyone if this is your first

time here welcome my name is coral and

this is my youtube channel I am the

owner of coral joy travel which is a

travel agency that really specializes in

mostly Disney vacations we sell a lot of

Walt Disney World and Disneyland and

Disney cruises and we love all of you so

thank you so much for being here and

being so special to this amazing Disney

community we have here on YouTube so

let's get into these 10 tips to have

some extra fun at Mickey's not-so-scary

Halloween party the first tip or the

first bit of advice would be this dress

up you have the opportunity to dress up

at Walt Disney World take it I mean

you're an adult you can dress up you're

a kid you can dress up it's going to be

amazing I would say more than half or at

least half of the guests attending these

parties will be dressed up adults and

children so don't feel like you can't

dress up if you're an adult because

adults dress up in Disney it's totally

okay if I was going there I might dress

up as this girl

darlings welcome back would I go as Edna

mode to Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween

party you'd better believe it why

because I hand and you can also meet her

there too which is pretty darn awesome

let me get myself put back together

again because you know Edna can't be

talking to you guys I want to be talking

to you so yes you can dress up in

costume but here are some tips

definitely make sure your costume is

lightweight because it is going to be

warm down in Walt Disney World in

Florida and definitely be sure to have

comfortable shoes even princesses can

wear sneakers trust me

the next thing number two that is

important to know about Mickey's

not-so-scary is not so scary Halloween

party is that the party does start at 7

p.m.

however you can arrive as early as 4

p.m.

for p-m guys this party does cost extra

to go to it is an extra ticketed event

pricing starting at $70 for an adult

just like a party going around my call

sack I mean cars just going there done

okay so because this party starts at

7:00 and you can arrive as early as 4:00

my tip is get there at 4:00 because it's

only going to get busier and busier and

busier as the night goes on so really

use that time to get in early ride some

rides eat a thing or two or three you

get the idea get the most bang for your

buck get there at 4 p.m. number 3 thing

you should know is that there are

special characters axis party that's

right characters that you couldn't see

at a typical day at Walt Disney World

they come out for these special ticketed

events like Mickey's not-so-scary

Halloween party they will be there to

sign autographs to take pictures but

most of you know some of you may not

know that these lines get very very long

the most popular character is Jack

Skellington and that line gets super

super long so kind of look in advance

and see which characters are going to be

there Snow White and the Seven Dwarves

are there and there's a massive list of

other characters korilla de Vil etc the

Queen of Hearts some of these you know

you really can't see unless you're at a

special party so look through all of the

characters that are going to be there

determine as family or a group or if

your solo lucky you can choose yourself

which character or characters are the

highest priority for you and do the most

popular one first get in line and wait

because as the night progresses those

lines for characters get very very long

and you can wait in them a long time and

you don't want to waste your whole party

waiting in a line so prioritize

know which ones you want to go see and

get that done early when you arrive at

the part of the party they will give you

a park guide a guide map just for the

specific party so look in that map to

see which lands have which characters

and they'll show you where to beat them

again you can look online and see all of

these listed but just have an idea are

you going to Tomorrowland are you going

to Fantasyland are you going to frontier

land know where you want to go to meet

these characters and just do that as

soon as you can I will say that a little

secret is these character lines tend to

get a little shorter or during the

parties so the booty you party parade I

mean the boo to you parade so if you

know you see the lines are still long

maybe at the second booty parade you can

go and join one of those character lines

because they oftentimes do get shorter

as most of the crowds really do want to

go see one of those parades number four

tip is that there are some special

merchandise only available at these

parties so if this Mickey's not-so-scary

Halloween party

there are exclusive pins some of them

limited release and some limited edition

there are exclusive t-shirts apparel

hats

ears there are exclusive treats only

available during these parties so this

is an opportunity to try something very

unique that only happens a handful of

times at Walt Disney World

during this specific party so if that's

something that you're interested in

that's something you want to get soon

oftentimes these guys these pins these

these shirts they could sell out and if

you want to get your hands on them kind

of get them early these are always

available at the Emporium right on Main

Street as you're walking in Main Street

it's on your left hand side that row of

shops you can ask where the Mickey's

not-so-scary why

say that Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween

party merchandise is and they can direct

you to it sometimes it's behind the

register sometimes well they have all of

their you know t-shirts and such would

be out on the floor but sometimes you do

have to ask so don't be afraid if you

can't find it ask a cast member because

this special merch is pretty awesome and

very unique and I did hear that the

monster smash burger at cosmic rays was

to die for just saying I heard it number

five this is an opportunity to ride some

rides and oftentimes these rides have

shorter wait times because people are

either waiting in line for the character

meetups because there are so many unique

characters or they're at one of the

parades or at the dance party so take

the time to ride some rides with shorter

wait times now there are no fast passes

available during the party but I really

find that you really don't need them

because the right times are usually less

now in front of the Haunted Mansion

there is a little bit of a show not

really a show but there is a madam what

is remain I think there's a Madame

Renata or Carlotta it's not Liotta but

they're out on the lawn talking to

guests so I would imagine that Haunted

Mansion could have a little bit longer

of a wait time then maybe Seven Dwarves

Mine Train which you know during a

typical day can get very very high wait

times but you could ride a lot of these

for I would say a wait time 20 minutes

for less which is amazing

so take advantage of writing these

really popular rides with a shorter wait

time

number six what's Halloween without

trick-or-treating that's right at Walt

Disney World

during each of these Halloween parties

Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween parties

they have bins around all of the

different lands at Magic Kingdom and you

can trick-or-treat and it's

it's candy you know what I mean we're

not talking Smarties we're not talking

dum dum lollipops you know you know we

are talking the good stuff we're talking

real chocolate real M&M Snickers you

know butterfingers Reese's Pieces all

the good stuff and they give you

handfuls so if trick-or-treating is your

bag is he your bag that sounds buddy if

it's your cup of tea

mm you'll get a bag you'll get candy you

can fill your tummy and just keep

walking along and you know when you're

at Walt Disney World the calories don't

count so just Sam

enjoy the trick-or-treating okay and

number seven seven is the awesome show

with the Sanderson sisters it is called

the hocus-pocus spell tacular I believe

it happens three times during the

evening so don't worry if you miss the

first or the second you can at least

have one more opportunity on the third

one to watch it so the shows are 8:30

p.m. 10:45 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. three

different opportunities so you have the

standard system Sanderson sisters they

come back to earth and they are you know

they're just being little villains

themselves because that's just what they

are but you also get an opportunity to

meet some other villains in Disney

movies and they come out on stage that's

right on the steps of Cinderella Castle

and it's an awesome show so again all of

this information will be in that park

guide map so take a look at that and see

which one you want to do number eight

hate that's eight yes it is number eight

there is a dance party in Tomorrowland

with Mike and Sulley and some monsters

and friends and yes even Little Boots

going to be there and this is a good

time to maybe shake off some

extra you know energy you have from

eating all that candy and just really

have some fun it wouldn't be a Halloween

party at Walt Disney World without some

dancing and those are some pretty

awesome tunes so this is over by Space

Mountain area by the people mover you'll

see well you'll see it because annual

here because there's a lot of dance and

a lot of music so that's something

that's really fun for this Halloween

party and not to be missed or eight

number nine and now this is something

that is truly truly not to be missed

this is the brute parade there are two

showings of the boo to you parade 9:15

and 11:15 p.m. oftentimes the 11:15 is a

little bit less crowded sometimes you

know a lot of families leave after the

first one or they leave after the

fireworks which I'm going to talk about

in a second but so the 1115 is often

quieter this Budhia party starts in

Frontierland and it goes in front of

Cinderella Castle and then down Main

Street is where it ends

so if you kind of want to see the

beginning of it a good place to start

and view that is from Frontierland if

you want to capture everything with

Cinderella Castle in front of you it'll

take a little bit longer to get to you

but it is truly not to be missed so kind

of plan out your evening what time you

want to see it if you want to see the

first showing or the latter showing know

that a lot of people do kind of camp out

in a space to kind of claim their space

could be even an hour or more before the

parade because it's that amazing I saw

it last year for the first time because

that was my first time ever going to

Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween party

tonight it took my breath away it is

amazing so definitely find a place I

really don't think you can have a bad

place to watch it do I think you need to

watch in front of Cinderella's castle no

do I think I need you need to watch it

in front of

to your land no do I think you need to

watch it and number 10 the last thing

you really need to know about Mickey's

not-so-scary Halloween party is the

hallow

rituals fireworks spectacular show it

will happen one time during a party one

time 10:15 p.m. you don't want to miss

this okay you absolutely don't want to

miss this the best fireworks the best I

mean Disney has the best fireworks but

this show exclusive to the party unreal

amazing the best view I would say is

definitely having Cinderella Castle in

front of you and watching the

pyrotechnics behind the castle it is

phenomenal again people will camp out in

a space to claim their space to watch

this show this fireworks explosion of

lights and music will blow your mind

definitely for me I think going to one

of these Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween

parties or you know in the holiday

season going to Mickey's not Mickey's

very Merry Christmas party

I think these extra ticketed events are

so worth it if you do some planning in

advance and you really take the time to

make it worth your time you know check

as you know if you're going as a group

or a family really discuss what's most

important for you what do you want to

see what do you want to do and kind of

have a plan how to approach the party

because like I said it does cost extra

but you know knowing that you can get in

there at 4 p.m. and stay until the very

end of the party

those hours of magic will be filled with

memories that you will never ever forget

and I just I love how Disney does these

parties it just overall it's just unreal

so I would love to know in the comments

below if you have been to the Mickey's

not-so-scary Halloween party in 2018

because a few of them have already

happened if you have let me know what

your favorite thing to do at that party

was or if you have been to a Mickey's

not-so-scary Halloween party in past

and thoroughly loved it

SO MUCH BLUE! | Drawing Something Using Every BLUE PEN, PENCIL, MARKER, WATERCOLOR, ETC I Own. - Duration: 16:11.

*♪ mellow music ♪* If you've been an artist for any amount of time

you've probably noticed that art supplies tend to accumulate around you.

Many of these art supplies serve different purposes,

and other ones are kind of redundant.

And today I'm gonna find out which are which.

heh

And I'm gonna draw with every single blue art supply that I own.

On the left of the screen in a ♪ neat little row ♪

I have all of my blue art supplies.

And we're going to start things off using my

blue Prismacolor Col-Erase Pencil because it's the only thing I have that can erase.

And, you know what? I want to be able to sketch and erase, so...

*comical music pause* There's that.

*giggle*

I'm drawing pretty lightly. So I'm not gonna dwell too much time on this section of the drawing,

but I did want to address what I'm drawing, and I

knew it was going to be with the color blue. [gasps :P]

So I had to draw something that would incorporate a lot of blue and I came to think,

"what's my favorite thing that's blue?" and I kept coming back to the sky.

I really like looking up at the sky and just staring straight up into this endless abyss,

like it just continues... for eternity.

I just think that's awesome. heh

So I wanted to draw that and I'm drawing a character that is very much inspired by the sky.

I decided to do more of a daytime sky because of the colors that I had... and I thought, "ooh!

Maybe her hair is a cloud and..."---and then when it came to the outfit, I was like well

"What's an outfit that could be inspired by the sky?" I thought, "maybe a...

jumpsuit, like someone skydiving or... a flight attendant!" So... *snicker*

Flight attendants what I eh---ultimately ended up with so she's got like a little ascot and a... little peplum top.

It's not like inspired by any specific uniform. It's kind of just... a mismatch of them. Hm!

Then I erased everything so that the sketch was even lighter so that I could go over it with a line art and, I used this

Ohuhu multi-liner [Fineliner 0.4] in a pretty dark blue.

I have four of these [way to brag XD] and none of them have like an actual color name.

So... just a blue Ohuhu Fineliner [0.4]

This one... specifically...

Since I have so many different blue multi liners. I wanted to switch them out pretty often.

Otherwise, I was gonna have a lot of leftovers at the end.

So I switched to this Staedtler [Triplus] Fineliner

It's a little bit of a lighter color blue, and since her hair was going to be clouds

I thought a lighter blue would be better for lining her eyebrows.

Moving on to a darker version of that Staedtler Fineliner,

um, I was able to use this to do the exact same thing that I use for the Ohuhu fineliner.

So you'll see where I'm getting to the point where I'm realizing some of my art supplies are kind of redundant, and maybe I don't

need to own all of these things, *giggle* and we're only three art supplies in so far. So... yeah... *snicker*

I also managed to draw the two worst hands I think I've drawn in like a year.

*Music pause* So...

let's just...

pay tribute to those

hm?

So yeah, I used that darker Staedtler to basically outline the entire outfit.

Then I switched to another Ohuhu fineliner, and added some---like sort of dimension,

so like darker lines under some of the sections where like,

you know, light wouldn't be hitting if this was a 3d object. And then I switched to a lighter Ohuhu fineliner to add---

to add the line art of her scarf that's around her neck.

And I also just sort of went around where I'd already put line art to---with the same color to kind of make it a bit bolder.

Then using my final blue Ohuhu fineliner, I just sort of went over the same lines again.

Mostly because I didn't really know what to do with this because I had so many of these and this is where yeah

*mouth pop*

redundancy, right? bored of using fineliners I decided to completely switch up the medium and use water colors.

This is a cerulean blue and I used it to paint in the sky background.

Um... I... kind of messed up at first so it's a bit blotchy.

But I gotta figure out what I was doing as I go along and I put down a lot of this color.

I think I spend a lot more time than I plan on showing you with it.

But yeah.

Just I wanted there to be some texture because there's suppose to be a lot of clouds,

but kinda wish I'd been a little bit smoother, especially since when I go over this with a lot more of the art supplies,

you'll see on the left there still a lot more to go,

*uhyuck*

I had to find places to put those and it ended up being a lot of it in the sky as well.

Um... so it doesn't really matter that this ended up being kind of blotchy so...

Next I went in with this Prussian blue water color, and darkened up at the lower half of the sky.

I had found this reference on Pinterest of this, um---

It was a still a blue sky,

but the stars were just starting to appear in like so it was like just becoming nighttime, and it was s00oo pretty, and I was

very inspired to darken the sky because of that and I'm so glad that I did because

later, I do something that ♪ we'll see when I get there. ♪

You'll just have to wait. *snicker* Painting the sky, I definitely realized that I quite enjoy using watercolors as a medium.

So not only am I learning which were supplies

I have that are redundant, but I'm also learning which supplies I prefer to use.

So yeah, it's a pretty cool exercise... I guess.

The next art supplies I used was this blue Posca pen,

[which is] something I don't have a lot of experience with, [but] I know that they're kind of like opaque markers,

and I basically just used this, since it's kind of a dark color, to create a bold line at the bottom of the...

illustration and sort of faded it out with strokes to add texture.

That was a bit [of] experimenting on my part.

Next up, I'm sure you've used one of these before in your lifetime.

It is a blue Crayola magic marker,

and honestly, I can say after having finished this illustration now,

um, this was not my least favorite art supply to use so... I had a lot of fun with this one.

I basically used it to sort of blend out some of the Posca and then also to create sort of like a...

cartoony harsh shadow under some of the clouds.

Next, I moved into my Ohuhu alcohol-based markers, which I ♪ love. ♪

Um, I have several blue ones. So... this is a bit of a process. The first one is this one and I...

---This is kind of where things start getting *sniff* pretty redundant.

I basically just used it to blend out the sky, and make it darker, and like try to create as smooth a gradient as possible

Next up, (and this is quite fitting) I use this Windsor Newton brush marker in the color sky blue.

*angelic "ahh"*

So, I've basically applied this [to] as many places as possible

because I'm like, well, this is like literally the color of [the] sky.

So I guess I need to use a lot of it. Tah.

That was my logic anyway. Heh.

After that, I used this Crayola crayon and...

*sigh of regretful resentment*

If there was any art supply that I would have like... uh...

purposefully left out and pretended I didn't own

it would have been these crayons.

Like *sigh* I feel like they just didn't add to the picture.

I mean they added a lot of texture,

but not texture that I very much like. So...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh! And because crayons are... you know waxy, It's kind of hard to build other things up on top of them.

Although I try! Just wait and see. Haha.

Next up, I used another Windsor Newton brush marker.

This one was, "cool aqua," and I used this to color in the skin.

After I had colored in the first arm,

I kind of decided to "artistically" only color the top half of the skin, like there was light

Illuminating from underneath her in some way.

I really liked the way that looked especially on the face.

I don't know if it makes any sense,

but the one arm I didn't do that with, and I kind of wish I had but... oh well!

*snicker*

um, I really like this color,

and I also noticed, because I swatched out all of these colors beforehand so that I would kind of

know where maybe I'd like to put them when it came to drawing the actual illustration, and I noticed that...

---Oh! But first, I'm using this Molotow water based marker. Heha.

But yeah,

just because the color is blue doesn't mean they all look the same,

like there are a cool blues and there are warm blues,

and then I also had some sort of grēēn blues.

And this is like the lightest of my green blues, and I purposely decided, and you'll see this as I continue on

this... artistic journey, that, heha, I

decided to use all of my green blues on the character to try and separate her from the background.

Can I just say I really like this Molotow marker?

Like I totally forgot I even own these. I think they came in a ScrawlrBox, like...

yeeaars ago, and they're basically water colors that are in, um, like a dual tip, brush pen, marker thing.

And so I'm able to get---I can like layer them up and get more...

shading that way, and I don't know

I just had a lot of fun with these, and I think I'm gonna have to dig out the other colors and play with them again.

Using another one of my greenish blue art supplies. I'm using the Edding 1200. This is like a metallic and

opaque pen marker thing.

I'm not entirely sure which one you would consider it,

but it's really really cool,

and like it's hard to go over the same place more than once [because] it starts to like scratch away at

itself, so I had to be very... um...

pur-pose-ful in where I would stroke the paper with this. *giggle*

That was a really weird way to say that. [yes, yes it was]

And literally only because I really enjoyed using this pen,

I decided to add like a little bit of detail to the bottom of her skirt.

Like a little embroidery design of like clouds and dots uh-huh.

But yeah, I really like this pen.

I think it stands out as one of my favorite blue art supplies.

Using another alcohol-based marker---this is the Style File marker, and ahaha,

it's definitely the stinky uncle of my blue art supplies.

pee-yew!

*giggle*

ˢᵗᶦⁿᵏʸ

Next up is the Ohuhu marker dual tip thing.

It's called a marker. I would consider it a brush pen more so [than that].

I use these mostly for bullet journaling. So it was kind of interesting trying to use them for an actual illustration.

I really like-how-like royal and dark and blue this one is so I used that to darken up again that bottom edge of the sky.

After that I used this blue Chalkola marker.

This is equivocally a uh...

dry erase marker with texture, so it's not really meant for paper,

but I managed to find some place to stick it on this illustration

It's also kind of opaque, so... I had to be careful where I put it.

Another one of my go-to "faves,"

this is the Paper Mate uh, blue highlighter

Before I owned like any alcohol-based markers these were basically what I used

because you could layer them up and you know, get some nice

shading going on. So I definitely still recommend these highlighters.

I love them.

And these two I apparently forgot to film close-ups,

but these are just two very basic Crayola colored pencils.

I have like a darker blue and a lighter blue, and I used these

To shade around the face because I had such a good experience shading the face

when I did that Crayola challenge a couple weeks ago.

So I was like hey, I---that really turned out pretty well.

So, I feel very comfortable going in on this face and like adding a little bit of like blue blush and [a] little nose shading.

♪ too-hoo ♪

[I'm] still using colored pencils. I have this Koh-I-Nor watercolor pencil.

So, I basically just used my paintbrush, dipped in water, and then dipped it on the end of the...

Ahaha... um...

the pencil and then applied that to the illustration that way, so I didn't have to like...

draw---actually draw with it. Aha.

And this really helped to like smooth out some of that background texture that I got from the crayon

and some of the markers.

So, I was happy to have another watercolor.

I meant to keep this video under ten minutes, but that's not gonna happen. [unfortunately for the me :/]

So I'm gonna talk a little bit faster. Hehe. These are sharpies. I'm sure you know what they are.

I used those in these illustrations as well. I had three blue sharpies.

So, three blue sharpies were used on this illustration in different sections of it.

Is that vague enough for you? Hehe. [Makes my life easier :P]

But yeah,

I noticed that a lot of the colors I had left were all very dark,

and I wasn't sure where I was going to be able to put them in the illustration.

So I decided to add some like shadows of clouds in the background

with these darker blues,

and I think that really helped make---like add depth to the background.

And so yeah, I'm kinda happy with that.

And even here my third and lightest Sharpie was really really dark.

So, I was able to add more dark clouds with that.

And my final colored pencil,

the Faber Castel Goldfaber Aqua, which is actually a watercolor pencil,

but I just used two as a pencil, and I added more shading to the face [which] darkened that up a little bit.

I previously used a blue...

Ohuhu alcohol-based marker in this illustration already,

but here are three more that I owned, and I used these as well.

Basically just going about the picture using the ones that are the lightest and the darkest for different things.

skIHgh

*deep inhale*

Oh, this commentary is really...

running out of things to say. [One might say it is getting a little... "redundant?" :P]

Not only is there redundancy in the art supplies. There is redundancy in the commentary. [Spoke too soon XD]

*growls like a velociraptor*

Oh hey! With this one I totally forgot this thing even existed!

This is like the Sakura micron [pigma] brush pen, I think.

It's blue so... I had to use it and I've managed to luckily find it.

It was actually on my desk this whole time, but it was like, you know

It was in one of those cups that like has art supplies in it that you like

never use, but like it looks cute because it's there on your desk here and it just says, "hey, I'm an artist!

Look, this is the desk of an artist because it's a cup art supplies" [cups don't talk O.o]

And these are my last two blue Ohuhu dual tip brush pens.

I actually used the lighter one to shade the kneecaps which was an interesting choice.

And I used the brush side of the pen for that and then for the darker one, I actually used the...

fine point... to... add like sort of---not texture um...

Just [to] sort of outline the shape of hair in the cloud of her hair

*makes a noise not unlike to a pogo stick compressing from a rather large height*

If that makes any sense at all.

Hands down the aesthetically weirdest marker I own is the Artline Stix brush pen.

Uh, It looks like a Lego, [I] still don't know why... [it] just does. [maybe so you can stick Lego bricks to it?]

This is the faber Castell Pitt artist pen in a metallic blue.

Since this one's metallic I used it to just add little earrings to her ear. Ahaha.

Who would've thought? Earings… in an ear. Hm.

We're really nearing the end here. *oohoohooh* Okay!

So this is the blue jelly roll pen.

[I] didn't use this for much basically just used it to uh,

darken her eyelashes, [and] make it look like she's wearing some ♪ falsieess. ♪

[I] have another Crayola crayon, another dark blue color.

This I actually used to um...

sort of send some of those wispy air clouds further into the background

by shading over them a bit, and I kind of like the texture on them

I think it it's kind of cool

[I] don't love it. But hey, [you] do what you got to do.

Oh, and then I realized I forgot the color in her legs.

So, here I'm trying to figure out

which marker I've used for that because I used so many since then [so] I couldn't remember,

but luckily I did go with the right one.

It was that Windsor Newton marker.

So I just shaded that.

And then we reached the final art supplyyyyyyyyyy!

WOOHoohoohₒₒₕₕₒₒ

This is the Holbein acrylic gouache, in... you guessed it! Blueww!

I used this to soften up any like

harsh edges that are left over from the less forgiving art supplies,

and basically add blue to anywhere that I felt still needed to be bluer. Ahaha.

But I wasn't done there! Hehe---But wait there's more!

I decided to go in with a white gel pen, [Cheater! :P]

this is the Signo uniball white gel pen, and add stars to the darker sections of the sky like the night

is just starting to fall. But yeah, I mentioned earlier that I saw this picture on Pinterest, that was so gorgeous.

So I just needed to emulate that in some small way so that I would never forget how beautiful that picture was.

So yeah, I did that and I really like it.

I feel like it adds a little extra pop or zing of interest to this illustration.

I also was planning on making her hair of clouds stand out more from the background,

but looking at it now, I kind of like that I left it sort of wispy.

Like it almost blends with the background because I feel like that makes her hair more cloud like in a way

because it's more part of the background

I'unno you can let me know if you feel the same way.

Anyway, this was me using I think it was---did you count while I was making them? I think it was..

39 different blue art supplies.

Yeah, it was definitely a fun challenge. I know which supplies I don't really care to ever use again,

I know which ones work really well,

I know which ones were redundant, and I also kind of...

rekindled some love for like those Molotow markers. *clears throat* And yeah, I---I-I've

I'm really glad I did this.

So, thank you guys for suggesting it. Last time I did this with the purple art supplies

almost every comment was like, "Do this with this color!"

"Do this with that color!"

So I decided to do it with blue.

Um, I hope you enjoyed uh---yeah, watching me use all of my blue art supplies, and yeah!

Thank you guys for watching. I'll see you guys all next week, and I hope you have a

♪ delicious evening full of waffles! ♪

Why Perspective Is SO Important! | Gary Vaynerchuk - Duration: 12:11.

you know I mean of course we've gotten

soft as a culture in the u.s. because

the US has had an incredible 200 year run right like this is just what happens you know so as a culture you know I

can't speak for you know people that live in the Amazon River and I can't speak for you know people that

still live in Belarus but the American culture is soft and that's a great thing that means there's been enormous amounts of prosperity but

let's not be naive

I mean people literally complain when

somebody gives them the wrong amount of

like extra cream in a Starbucks $6

coffee like this is like we've gotten to

a place where we complain you know out

of all those lovely things you said as I

stood there getting ready we come the

part that and I'm glad you pick up on

this and not a lot of people have said

it before so thank you my lack of

interest in complaining is so high and

when I watch what people complain about

it breaks my heart because they

completely lack perspective and I

genuinely believed my happiness and

optimism comes from my perspective I

even in political unrest times like

right now a lot of people very bent out

of shape but the reality is is that it

just never been better to be a human

being it's that's just the truth that's

just data that's that's reality and yeah

I mean it's just a very fun time to be

alive so much going on the internet is

starting to hit maturity look what we're

doing right now

this way now right would have cost

millions of dollars in production and

distribution to have the amount of

people who watch this just 15 years ago

like you know I just think it's very

interesting times and I was saying

something to a friend the other day I

was like could you imagine if you told a

parent 15 years ago

hey parent what you're gonna want to do

in 15 years instead of buying a kid your

16 year old a car you're gonna convince

your 16 year-old daughter to go into a

stranger's car every single day you're

gonna you're gonna pay for your

sixteen-year-old daughter to go into a

stranger's car every single day and

you'll think that's normal and actually

safer than buying that purse that kid a

car that's literally what we're living

in now high net worth individuals in

America

are preferring to give their kids

unlimited uber to buying a car because

because they don't want them drinking

and driving they don't trust are driving

in and literally they think it's safer

for their 16 17 year old to go into a

stranger's car than to drive themselves

that's sacrilege 15 years ago online

dating 20 years ago the weirdest

nerdiest you're thinking 300 pound white

dude in a basement of a kid's car now

it's just completely standard I mean if

you if you add in sliding into people's

DM on Instagram it's like 89 percent of

relationships right so you know I I

think that we are I think we're going

through a huge transition because all of

us even thought leaders are grossly

under estimating the internet itself and

we're hitting scale right we now all are

on at all times and this is now the

beginning I was joking was working out

this morning to d-roc I'm like dear Rach

you're gonna get replaced by like a

Pokemon ball like I'm gonna throw it up

like people in 20 years are literally

gonna throw something up they're just

gonna hover 360 and film everything

they're doing I mean like it's just an

incredible time and I think the way

people look at the world right now

because it's such an incredible time is

actually the quickest tell to who they

are if you think it sucks but it's bad

you have losing pessimistic DNA and if

you think it's awesome and phenomenal

you have optimistic winning DNA and I

believe that to be true and so that's

where at there's a lot of push towards

being a workaholic and hard work as a

learned behavior I see it in my team

there's people that come into my I've

seen it in the thousands of employees

I've had which is the closer they are to

the Sun the harder they work and I'm

like aha and so I definitely feel like I

learned hard work by watching my parents

and so it's why I talk so much about

hustle because it's one of the things

that people can actually adjust and turn

to I watch people give advice completely

predicated on natural talent and DNA and

I'm like look like I get it like I can

throw a football every day for nine

hours a day

I'm just not physically built to be

competitive at the highest levels so

yeah I do think you know if anybody

watching right

if there's anything they take away it's

like look like you're gonna only be so

pretty you're only gonna be so smart

like you like that there's there's

things that are gonna land there's

things that you can actually control I

do believe and I don't know if I'm right

or wrong I don't but I do believe that

work ethic is a taught behavior it's

something you do have more control over

and yeah I think you know I think and

you know what really sealed the deal for

me getting healthier I was 38 years old

and he didn't come natural to me like it

didn't come natural to me at all I hate

the gym I hate it now I hate it I don't

like it I don't want to do it but I but

I knew it was important and somewhere

around

midway through being 38 years old I got

serious I figured out my system I made

the financial commitment and I've won

right and I'll never lose again because

the system was I needed to be

accountable to another human being so it

was about Mike and now Jordan and

whoever else is my trainer I'm doing it

almost weirdly more to not let them down

then too and so that was the shift and

so I feel like there's a shift that can

make people work harder the big one that

I push is you're gonna die like like if

your complaint like to me life is broken

down into complaining and not so if

you're not complaining well then I've

never I have no advice for you but I'm

pumped like you did it like like I've

friends who make $42,000 a year work

9:00 to 4:00 kind of with an hour and a

half lunch and 45 minutes of YouTube and

ten minutes of bullshitting and an hour

of complete waste of time in a meeting

so the kind of working like six you know

hours a week right but but but they're

pumped and and and they text me these

are high school friends and they'll text

me like how happy they are to be the

coach of their kids baseball team and

you know like that's amazing like that

that seems very obvious to me like

that's like that's right like you know

what's super weird I'm actually merely

envious you know like I sounds cool like

in theory right grass is always greener

right like far less pressure you know

like like all that time with my kids

who've that would be cool like there's

just like all these things that I can

justify so

me but I have friends who have a hundred

million dollars in the bank because of

Facebook's IPO who complain who are

still hungry who want to do even more

who will complain to me because they

know I work a lot about no work-life

balance and they don't get to spend

enough time with their family and I'm

like you have a hundred million dollars

like you could stay home like you're in

control like you don't complain about it

you've made that choice don't bullshit

me like you want to spend more time with

your family spend more time with your

family this is back to what we said

about keyboard warriors I'm trying to be

very careful about what I'm saying

versus what I'm doing because that's how

you get exposed and I don't mean like

people calling you out and being like

you suck I mean to yourself I don't want

to be exposed by myself it's it's it's

looking yourself in the mirror and

saying like am I doing this right so to

me there's so many people there talking

about how big of an entrepreneur they're

gonna be and how much they're gonna

achieve and they don't work on weekends

you know I worked every Saturday of my

20s like and I talked to 20 year old

entrepreneurs every single day lately

I've been saying to them this Saturday

you're gonna have more time off than

I've had in my entire twenties on a

Saturday so like before you tell me how

you're gonna be bigger than me start

thinking about what you're actually

doing right we're beating ourselves up

like everybody sucks at something right

like we all have shortcomings and we all

have strengths and for me it's like why

don't we just audit that like why don't

we just look at it that way and be like

alright well I'm good at this but I'm

not good at that like and then and then

and then I only focus what I'm good at

right like I don't dwell that I can't

fix it around the house I call somebody

to fix it like I'm not like I'm not a

man I don't give like you know like like

you know like I don't I don't get it

like we all like I also think it's

awesome that I'm so emotionally stable

and I'm the emotional backbone of

everybody is that what a dude's supposed

to do like like these cliches these

stereotypes they're so silly talk to me

about how your mom played into that cuz

at onso I know your mom you've credited

her with really helping to build your

self-esteem but you're also a huge

believer in like don't fool yourself

don't tell yourself you go to something

you're not so how did she make you feel

so good about yourself

she lost drugs that's a great great

that's a very you're doing a good job

here thank you sir that's a very know

it's a very good way to ask it because

the truth is she strategically used

bullsh and real what I think in

hindsight she did was she over

emphasized things that were subjective

or good so she really never forget this

I opened the door for a woman in

McDonald's in Edison New Jersey

literally like when I was eight just you

know we were both walking with a little

head and I opened it and let her walk

through if I tell you that my mom

basically treated that event like I won

the Nobel Peace Prize for like three

weeks

but but think about how smart that is

like think about how reinforcing that

played out played out so much that one

of the most interesting comments in the

250 blogs that I've done was I got an

email from somebody who said hey Gary

Vee you know this is this comes like hey

at first I thought like a you know and

then I got into it a little bit now I

was watching this vlog and then the

other day you really you nailed it home

and I'm like you know I'm reading I'm

like I can't wait to see what I did he's

like you went into the elevator and you

let all your employees go first and you

know it's just so interesting right

these subtle little things it's a point

it's so fascinating what matters to

people and I get it like I actually

think that's right but it's so weaving

into me at this point I don't even I

don't recognize that that's what she did

well she made she made big deals out of

the things that were tried and true and

then and then when I got these and F's

she punished me even though she knew I

didn't need school in her heart she made

me know that there was accountability

for things so I would lose television

and video game and friends privileges

for it would always be for a month

she'd break down somewhere around day 14

13 my sister would tattle on me when I

was sneaking TV was a funny it was a

sitcom in itself the three of us she she

she really made me feel special man she

really did it right she really really

really pounded home

my EQ my kindness I've done it with

Xander - he went to the playground when

he was two we're at the playground a

little three-year-old kid falls and

skids his knee and he walked over and

was like are you okay and I made that

like a two-week thing right like empathy

right and so and so she just she just

really did a good job of making me feel

good about the things that were around

my kindness and my support of my sister

and my leadership skills and my friends

and taking the you know I took a bullet

once for something my friend did in the

neighborhood and she thought that was a

good thing and just just kind of those

personality traits that I think you know

we all if all of us everybody watching

wrote down like personality traits that

we admire any time I showed any of those

actions she drove them home and I think

modern-day parents and most parents do

not do that

I think they focus on dumb shit like

grades because they are insecure and

they want to put the bumper sticker that

their kid went to you know Stanford like

it's real up when you really think about

what's actually happening so much of it

as misery loves company or people

reflecting of what's inside of them

Why Horseshoe Crab Blood Is So Expensive - Duration: 3:23.

- Narrator: This blueish liquid

is one of the most expensive resources in the world.

No, it's not the blue milk from "Star Wars."

It's actually blood

from a horseshoe crab,

and the stuff this blood makes

costs $60,000 a gallon.

So why is it so expensive

and who's buying horseshoe crab blood?

The blue color comes from copper in the blood.

But that's not it's most interesting feature.

The blood contains a special clotting agent.

It's used to make a concoction

called Limulus amebocyte lysate or LAL.

Before LAL, scientists had no easy way of knowing whether

a vaccine or medical tool was contaminated with bacteria.

Like E. coli or salmonella.

Scientists would inject vaccines

into huge numbers of rabbits and

then basically wait for symptoms to show up.

But when LAL was approved for use in 1970,

it changed everything.

Drop a minuscule amount of it onto

a medical device or vaccine, and the LAL will encase

any gram-negative bacteria in a jelly cocoon.

While it can't kill the bacteria,

the jelly seal is like a fire alarm.

Alerting us to the presence of

what could become a potentially lethal infection

and prevent it from spreading.

Each year, the medical industry catches

around 600,000 horseshoe crabs.

The crabs are drained of 30% of their blood

and up to 30% of the crabs don't live through the process.

The survivors are returned to the water,

but no one really knows how well or if they recover.

In 2016, the International Union

for the Conservation of Nature bumped

the American horseshoe crab up to vulnerable

on it's red list,

one step below endangered.

And the US population could keep falling,

by as much as 30% over the next 40 years.

LAL Labs claim that the returned crabs eventually recover,

but new evidence suggests that's not always the case.

Win Watson is trying to figure out what happens

to the crabs when they're put back in the sea.

- Narrator: Bled crabs become disoriented

and weak for a period of time,

and females may have trouble spawning.

- Narrator: But it's getting through

those two weeks that's the issue.

- Narrator: Scientists are trying

to find a synthetic alternative to help reduce

the strain on the horseshoe crab population.

But so far, LAL is still required

by the FDA for this type of testing.

So if these animals really aren't recovering

at the rate companies previously thought,

we might eventually run out of crabs to bleed.

If that happens, our lives and the lives

of countless rabbits, might be at risk.

Report: Nikki Haley So Feared That Other UN Reps Are Afraid She'll Yell at Them - Duration: 4:10.

Report: Nikki Haley So Feared That Other UN Reps Are Afraid She'll Yell at Them

One of the biggest and brightest stars to emerge out of President Donald Trump's administration

has been Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

Haley has gone into the heart of the anti-American beast and called them out, to their faces,

for their anti-American agendas — while they gladly collect billions in funding from

U.S. taxpayers — as well as for the organization's incessant and overt bias against Israel, one

of America's closest allies.

According to the Independent Journal Review, Haley was recently honored for the work she

has done thus far representing American interests and Trump's agenda in the U.N., as well

as for her staunch defense in that body on behalf of Israel, for which she received the

Jeane Kirkpatrick award from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

The ambassador spoke about the "Israel-bashing" she has witnessed and confronted, and noted

that other ambassadors have grown to fear her and have ceased their attacks on Israel,

as they don't want Haley to "yell" at them.

"I knew that there was a bias against Israel, but I hadn't really put a lot of thought

into it until I attended the first session," Haley said of the U.N. General Assembly.

"And when I saw, literally, how abusive all of those countries were being to Israel,

in a way that was — pathetic, really — I had no choice but to get up and say 'this

is completely wrong,'" she continued.

"It's like that kid in the school yard that gets bullied, and everybody is bullying

the kid because they think it makes them stronger," Haley said of Israel.

"I wasn't gonna stand for that."

"So I came out and said 'we are not going to condone this anti-Israel bias,' we started

to make sure the 'Israel-bashing sessions' — as I call them — that they had once

a month, we now try and talk about … there's supposed to be sessions on the Middle East,

not sessions on Israel, and so now we are actually making them talk about other areas

in the Middle East," she said.

"And so we are starting to do those things and now, frankly, they are scared to say anything

negative about Israel, because they don't want me to yell at them," she added with

a chuckle.

That is pretty funny, and while it is unclear if Haley has ever actually "yelled" at

any of the other ambassadors at the U.N., it isn't that difficult of a picture to

imagine, as she can be exceptionally fiery and tenacious and is tough as nails when necessary.

While Haley's toughness in the face of the U.N.'s overt anti-Israel bias has earned

our Israeli allies a brief respite from the monthly dog pile they endured in the general

assembly — not to mention the plethora of anti-Israel pronouncements and resolutions

to come from various committees and, at times, the Security Council — she has also been

fighting valiantly on behalf of American interests and the America-first agenda in the international

body as well.

One aspect of that is her work thus far in saving money for U.S. taxpayers by defunding

the foreign aid America grants on an annual basis to other countries that work against

our own interests or have populations that quite literally hate us.

Indeed, Haley spoke on that topic at that same event and said, "The countries that

we give money to, do they believe what we believe?

Are they still actually wanting to be our partner and work with us?""If they're

not and they're shouting 'death to America,' why would we give them a single penny?"

she asked.

"And so, you are seeing those efforts of defunding those things that are not helpful

to us and that aren't in the United States' interests."

Ambassador Nikki Haley is an absolute rock star in Trump's administration and has been

scoring substantial wins with regard to America's interests, as well as for the interests of

our nation's closest ally, Israel.

If in the process of that she has also earned the fear and respect of her counterparts,

so much the better for her and America as a whole.
