Why Venom May Be Aiming For An R-Rating
We've just learned that Sony is rumored to be considering making its recently announced Venom film R-rated because of the huge success that 20th Century Fox has recently had with both Deadpool and Logan. Which is hardly a surprise as both Deadpool and Logan found huge audiences despite the fact they were made at a fraction of the cost of their superhero rivals. It also helps that both films have been lavished with critical acclaim for rejuvenating the comic-book genre, which had threatened to become stale.
Weve just learned that Sony is rumored to be considering making its recently announced Venom film R-rated because of the huge success that 20th Century Fox has recently had with both Deadpool and Logan.
Which is hardly a surprise as both Deadpool and Logan found huge audiences despite the fact they were made at a fraction of the cost of their superhero rivals.
It also helps that both films have been lavished with critical acclaim for rejuvenating the comic-book genre, which had threatened to become stale. But dont get too excited about the R-rating, yet.
Because the Venom film is still very much in the early stages of development over at Sony theres every chance that things could change very quickly, and rather drastically, as the studio gets the film ready for its 2018 release date.
Especially because Venom doesnt even have a director on-board at the moment.
In fact, all that has been officially announced about Venom is that it will be scripted by Dante Harper, who recently wrote Alien: Covenant, while it will also be produced by Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad.
Colliders speculation regarding Venom also explained that Sony is looking to keep the films budget relatively modest.
If that proves to be the case then the company is certainly following the path recently paved by 20th Century Fox on the other R-rated movies.
However, what Sony have to keep in mind is the vastly different circumstances that led these films to be R-rated.
Lets start with Deadpool, which was almost disregarded by Fox, as they provided director Tim Miller with the measly budget of $58 million, and pretty much left the film up to its own devices.
This allowed Ryan Reynolds and Deadpools marketing team to forge a faultless promotional campaign that was irreverent and hilarious, and proved that the film was completely different than the other comic book movies that had come before it.
The huge success of Deadpool then convinced Fox that an R-rated Logan film would work, too.
But even then director James Mangold and star Hugh Jackman used this opportunity to make a subversive Wolverine film, which reveled in playing off of the mistakes of its predecessors.
Audiences were also intrigued by the fact that Jackman insisted it would be his farewell as the character, particularly as he made it clear that he was going out on his own terms.
As Venom will be a first movie outing, a R-rating would be somewhat different than what Logan tried to do, and maybe it would get a bigger budget than Deadpool, too.
While its obviously intriguing to learn that Sony might be taking Venom down the R-rated route, this doesnt mean the studio is going to immediately find success if it chooses that route.
Especially if Sony plans on being hands on, something thats likely to be the case since Venom is set to be the start of the companys new Spider-Man universe.
The most important decision Sony has to make regarding Venom is finding the perfect combination of director and actor for the film, like Deadpool and Logan did with Miller/Reynolds and Mangold/Jackman, respectively, rather than simply going for the flavors of the month.
(A crime they were guilty of when they hired Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield for The Amazing Spider-Man series.) Youd like to think that Sony now has a clear idea and vision for what it wants to do with Venom, and the extended Spider-Man universe that will almost certainly come after, as the movie already has a release date of October 5, 2018.

Hello everyone. Welcome back to my
Channel. Today I thought I would do the
"25 Facts About Me Tag" so I can let you
know a little bit more about myself. So
here are 25 random facts about me. I live
in sydney with my parents and my sister
Venessa and my dog Milo. My birthday is
in April. l I am a very weird person. My
life goal is to travel the world and the
first place I would want to travel to is
the Maldives or Maldives, however you
pronounce it just because I heard that
the island is disappearing so I wanted to
check it out. If I had a superpower it
would be to teleport because it saves so
much time. I am super unfit exercise
really does hate me but this year I'm
making it a goal to try and work out and
get healthier. My favourite movie of all
time is White Chicks, The Parent Trap and
Princess Diaries. I am an Aries. I cannot float
or swim, if I am ever in the water and I
can't touch the ground, I will
immediately die. My worst fear are clowns
and anything that's creepy crawly. My
all-time favourite book is "You can heal
Your Life by Louise L Hay. My favourite
foods are pizza, pasta, yum cha, hot
pot and the list goes on. I am an extra
on home and away with my sister. I am the
only one in the family that has dimples. I
cannot leave the house without my mobile
phone or my portable charger because I
am scared that you know if I don't have
my phone and I get lost, I wont be able to
contact anyone or use my maps. I am
absolutely terrified of heights. I hate
seeing videos of people just walking
around the top of buildings, that gives
me shivers just as I as I watch it. I
studied French in high school and I
would love to learn another language. My
favorite chocolate is Ferrero Rocher but
I never eat the nut in the middle because
I don't like nuts. I love dancing but I'm
probably the work dancer ever. I love the
beach, even though I can't swim, just
being by the water I helps me calm down.
I am probably the biggest procrastinator
I usually just like bleh things all the
time. I cannot do all nighters, I will get
cranky if I haven't had my sleep. I am
allergic to pineapples, and lastly my
favorite season is Summer because I
hate the cold. So that is 25 facts about

WORST BURGER OF MY LIFE ? - GET READY SHOW #23 - Duration: 5:48.
I'm not here to visit a monument
I'm gonna eat a burger
We're at 1 boulevard de bonne nouvelle, 75002 Paris
Close to Grand Rex & Gare de l'est, and i'm going to Burger & Fries
People say that it's the French "In-N-Out", a californian fast food with fresh products
We gonna see if they use fresh products and if their burgers taste American !
First thing, Burger & Fries presentation looks like In-N-Out's
The burger looks good
I ordered cheddar cheese fries
Bad point, they didn't put that much cheddar ..
But i appreciate the fact that they use real cheddar and not a kind of cheddar sauce
So it might be less smooth
Another bad point : the cashier didn't give me the receipt, though i don't know how much i paid ..
Here we go
We have a brioche bun
I took a regular cheeseburger as usual in my food reviews
The burger's really small but seems to be good
First flavor i get is their secret sauce, then the taste of the onion
So we have some onion, a slice of cheddar ... and a THIN STEAK !!!
The steak is nonexistent, and there's only one patty, that's why it doesn't taste at all !
That's why they suggested me the double cheeseburger
Too much onions !
The bun is good, but i only taste the onion and the sauce..
These homemade fries aren't that bad
With some cheddar on them, but it doesn't change that much the taste
Might not be ripened cheese, not an aged one, that would be why he's tasteless
What i think about this burger ??? "So So" as we say in America
I'm not satisfied, still hungry, the burger's really small, the steak's nonexistent and the sauce too present
I only had the taste of the sauce
The price is way too expensive for what you get
They put a big onion slice because it's cheap, and for the premium ingredient (the steak) you get nothing
The steak is just a bit more thicker than my sheet, but not that much !
Though it doesn't taste at all, it was like if i was eating a burger without steak
My taste buds are disappointed, the burger didn't taste American
That's why i'm giving 5/10 for the burger, and 6/10 for the fries because they're homemade
But don't take the cheddar, you'll get deceived, it's tasteless and rubbery
Let's talk about prices. They're way too high in my opinion !
Okay guys, you're using fresh products, but you're stingy on premium ones ! So it doesn't worth it !
And i think that's why the store owner suggested me the double cheeseburger (about 1€ extra)
I did all my food reviews with a cheeseburger, so to be fair and equal regarding to others i refused
Burger & Fries cheeseburger disappointed me
To sum up, if you're visiting Paris, and someday you're close to the store, you can come
But don't do miles through Paris only for Burger & Fries, you'll get disappointed like me !
