Prince William and Duchess Catherine don't hold hands in public as they don't need to

"prove" their love, according to body language expert Robin Kermode.

The royal couple are regularly spotted at arm's length from each other whilst out and

about but body language expert Robin Kermode insists they are following in the footsteps

of the Queen.

He said: "The Queen rarely holds hands with her husband in public and this seems to have

set an unwritten precedent for the other royals.

"It is very clear that William and Kate are emotionally close, however, they do not seem

to feel the need to prove their love - particularly when on official state business.

"They come across as a strong, independent couple and while they are always on show,

they do not feel the need to 'show' their love for each other to the world."

And he went on to reveal that when couples hold hands in public, it is often used deliberately

to show unity.

He added to the Mail Online: 'We have seen this gesture from politicians and celebrities

who have had marital problems; they grab their partner's hand in a bid to prove that things

are fine.

"[President Trump] is holding onto the hands of world leaders too long and you can see

people literally trying to pull their hands away.

William and Kate are definitely not in that sphere!"

It comes after it was revealed the Prince doesn't wear his wedding ring because it is

"traditionally not the done thing for gentlemen to wear jewellery".

Etiquette expert William Hanson shared: "It is not unusual at all for men from the upper

sets in Britain to shun wearing a wedding band.

This is not because of any intentions that they may wish to play away from home once

married, but because it was traditionally not the done thing for gentlemen to wear jewellery.

"Years ago, this even included watches, but even hardened snobs have relaxed on that front.

Not wearing a wedding band is one of those quirky British silent class indicators, like

the colour of your shoes on a Thursday, or the way you fold your top pocket handkerchief."

NASA just captured a photo of Jupiter that you won't believe is real - Duration: 1:34.

Sometime a photo looks so unreal that at first glance you'd be likely to mistake it for

a work of Earthling art.

A new photo captured by NASA's Juno spacecraft falls into that category.

The image, originally taken by Juno's camera, was taken in early February and shows Jupiter's

ever-swirling mass of storm clouds from an altitude of roughly 9,000 miles.

The storms which continually rock the planet take on a milky appearance when captured up

close.

The Juno craft, packed with all kinds of fancy monitoring equipment, made its fifth flyby

of the planet on Monday, which is also the fourth "science orbit," which is the name

they give the flybys when all the instruments on board are up and running.

The craft's next flyby won't happen until late May 2017, so it's a rare and exciting

event when one of these close passes goes by without a hitch.

The craft's data is currently being sent to Earth where researchers will continue to

mine it for precious information about our solar system's most intimidating planet.

here's a prickly choice for you

would you rather have a tiny shard of broken

glass of stuck in your fingertip or a

little sliver of wood if you had to pick

you might prefer the wood right after

all wood is softer and natural and glass

like nothing but sharp edges so the fact

is as far as your immune system of

concerned splinters made of organic

matter can pose a bigger threat than a

chip of glass or sliver of metal of

course when anything gets under your

skin your body's immune system will

react to the invasion the tissues around

the injury will get inflamed becoming

red and swollen as blood and immune

cells rush to the site but if it's a big

object like a splinter and the cells

can't break it up and get it out the

next best thing is to wall it off from

the rest of the body white blood cells

will surround it forming a barrier known

as a granuloma to keep it from going

anywhere but glass and metals are

inorganic they're not made from the

tissue of a living thing so they won't

cause as much of an inflammatory

response as an organic object like a

piece of wood or a thorn if your

splinter is a piece of glass as long as

it isn't from like a beaker of anthrax

or something it's not the end of the

world if you can't get it out right away

because the granuloma will just keep it

blocked off in fact doctors sometimes

recommended leaving small pieces of

glass or metal in the sight of you

because it's more damaging to your

tissue to dig around and get it out but

organic materials like wooden splinters

cactus spines or plant thorns are more

of a problem these little so-and-so's

cause a much bigger reaction from your

immune system woods have oils and resins

in them that your cells recognized as

especially dangerous so they trigger

more inflammation they're also more

likely to be covered in all sorts of

harmful bacteria and fungi that's why

people get tetanus shots to protect them

turns out that splinters made of wood

might be more dangerous in the long run

every rose has its thorn but some of

them have fungi that will make you sick
