Youtube daily TV Mar 4 2017

YouTube has unveiled its live TV service, YouTube TV. The new service, introduced Feb. 28,

will be an alternative to cable and satellite. It will offer live TV from traditional

TV networks, over the internet, for $35 a month. However, YouTube TV won't offer as many

channels as cable and satellite networks do. The company's referring to it's programming

as a skinny bundle. However, it's not a definitive list, and YouTube may add additional

networks in the future. YouTube TV can be watched on mobile devices, computers or

televisions. Features include a cloud based DVR with unlimited storage and access to

original series from subscription service YouTube Red. According to Wired, CEO

Susan Wojcicki says it will "give the younger generation the content that

they love with the flexibility they expect." YouTube TV will compete with other

web-based TV services such as Sling TV, PlayStation Vue and DirecTV Now.
