Youtube daily Follow Jun 19 2017

you know as well as I do the sewing community is all about Instagram

oh sorry I was just checking out Instagram and that's the topic of

today's not live edition of the sewing report I'm Jennifer Moore helping you

discover your love of sewing and in this episode we're going to be talking all

about some of my favorite Instagram accounts and I've been on Instagram for

a couple years and when I first heard about it I wasn't that interested I

didn't know what kind of benefit I would get out of it and I thought it was just

for people showing us pretty pictures so I didn't join until maybe two three

years ago I was a little bit late to the party

oh and sorry for those of you just joining us I wanted to let you know

again I'm sorry this is not live I cannot be with you this week but I had a

family commitment so I'm not here I'm not able to be with you this week but I

didn't want to leave you hanging again so whenever I'm not here I'm going to

post a video and it's one that that's sort of like the live show or we're

talking about a certain topic and I want to have a discussion that's the best

part of these types of shows is talking to you guys hearing your opinion and

having people share their thoughts and ideas so let's do that in the comments

and make sure to smash that like button oh and don't forget to follow me on

instagram i'm at sewing report and i wanted to share some of my favorite

accounts the ones that i can't wait to see their posts and i love their

instagrams story and you know just the people that i tend to follow and really

look forward to seeing content from so one of the first people i think i

started following that I liked was at @SuzyQuilts and we've met in person at

quilt con she's amazing her photography game is on point and all

of the photos are kind of like fun whimsical light bright Mary and her

stories are hysterical I also follow her on snapchat and by the way I like

Instagram stories but I'm a little bit peeved that Instagram just blatantly

copied snapchat like that I didn't think that was very cool and honestly

Instagram I would have much preferred if you would come up with some sort of

other feature that was original something that was you know cool out of

the box and something that didn't already exist like the snap

stories because I like snapchats user interface a lot more but obviously a lot

more people in the sewing community are on Instagram so I kind of feel like I

have to be here so I love Instagram don't get me wrong but for some things

I think the snapchat just too user interface is easier and more comfortable

for me to use so I am on snapchat a lot I'm sowing report there as well and if

you are on snapchat come say hi to me there but let's get to it let me share

some of my other favorite Instagram accounts so there Susie quilt

I've also gotten to know a few ladies in the sewing community and we've sort of

developed a friendship and they're very cool and we're all into garments sewing

and those ladies are vintage Jean cap Akram's ideas hello Ali J Emilie Hallman

designs and me Denise wiles and don't worry guys I will link all of their

profiles below so you can find these ladies all

oh and crafty pinup let's not forget Abby the crafty pinup but all these

ladies are awesome they're very talented seamstresses and I love following them

and talking to them on Instagram and on Facebook very fun people and I'm really

glad I've gotten to know some people I know this is weird like back in the 90s

you thought maybe someone online was really strange but look at now look at

how many people are meeting and getting married off of me being online Twitter

me being on match.com or whatever I even know someone that matt has live on

MySpace so I feel like this whole meeting people on the internet thing is

becoming a little less taboo maybe I don't know what do you think but those

are some more ladies that I like to follow and oh and another account that I

really like is keys and quilts his name is Justin and Ketan quilts comes from

his dog's name which is Diane Keaton which is like the best dog's name I

think I've ever heard but you need to follow Keaton quilts amazing quill to

use a lot of Liberty of London fabric and very talented guy you know really

he's adorable so you need to follow him as well

see who else I follow on Instagram oh there is this some new Sohus that I

started following and I'm going to link her as well it's like let me find her

okay her name is I think it's tani and her username is

like the best username ever it's she believed she could so she did and it's

like a really long and so like she believed she could so is SE w so she did

and what I really like about tons account I'm hope I hope I'm pronouncing

that right Tommy what I appreciate about her account is just how excited she is

about sewing I get the feeling she started sewing a few months ago she got

the sewing machine and her excitement is just like contagious she posts a lot of

her makes she was really fun fabrics and even though she's more of a beginner

seamstress I just love her energy and love how excited she is about it so

she's want someone that I followed that I also really enjoy another person I

follow and again I'm linking all these people below is @itzbyo and

that's Brenda she's a long time filling report viewer and she lives in Hawaii so

she's got a lot of really cool really cool and very end be able pictures of

like the beach so it's beo is selenite and she's so

nice and so friendly and I've gotten to know her a little bit from Instagram and

through the sewing report chant my sewing report channel and she's become a

friend so Brenda hello and I don't know I just

feel like there's a lot of people you can get to know on on Instagram which is

like the weirdest thing ever oh and someone else I recently discovered I

mentioned her and Alive show a couple weeks back is at weather Alisa she is a

Houston meteorologist and she makes a lot of her own clothing that she wears

on the air so I started following Lisa recently because I saw an article on

like Yahoo style about her and she was wearing a cloud dress but I'm all

so in the television news business as well so I really appreciate someone else

in the business who sews and makes their own clothing so definitely check out

Lisa she posts a lot of her awesome creations and she also has a pretty good

sense of humor which I appreciate and she has a cat so you can't go wrong with

that and I don't know if it's just me but I feel like anyone particularly

quilters I feel like most quilters have cats is that something I'm just noticing

or something you've noticed too so just the I know I know you really appreciate

my random thoughts about whatever but thank you for humoring me and again let

me know I want to know what um what do you like or not like about Instagram is

that your favorite social media platform for sharing your pictures of sewing

makes and also what are your favorite Instagram accounts let's start talking

in the comments and again I apologize I couldn't eat here live with you this

week but I had a family obligation so I will be back hopefully soon and look

forward to another video and more live shows from me here at sewing report I

will see you next time I want to get back to my Instagram now

The quality of this camera is so good?!

Hey! Oh!

Ahhh, morning voice.

It was a long time ago since I last made a follow me around, and I enjoy making them

so today I thought I'd bring you around.

It's 0945 am, I got to sleep in this morning and just woke up

Early bird

So today my plans are to first, at 11am, go to a place called Epicenter

to record, and this is amazing,

the Hasse Andersson documentary!

Or, I'm not the one recording it, but I'm being interviewed for the documentary of Hasse Andersson.

That's fantastic.

After that I'm meeting up with my manager Andréa,

we're having a meeting over lunch to talk about life and stuff.

Then, because the weather is great, it's all sunny and lovely outside,

me and Calle are going on a day out!

I'm excited!

And then, like the cream on the mashed potatoes...

Is that something positive or negative?

Like the liquorice topping of your soft ice cream, I've got something I want to show you. Stay here.

Ooooh wat is dis u might tink

I also want to add that I'm making this video in proud collaboration with HP,

you know HP who makes printers and stuff like that.

What's this, you might wonder?

Well it's a little printer! And where can you keep this? Well in your bag!

I'll show you later how this works, so keep watching.

It would be dull if you left now when I've only given you the intro.

Today is going to be a great day. Let's go!

Time to have breakfast and get ready.

HEEEEY I've got blue... what's it called. Eyeliner.

Clara: What's up? Andréa: I'm good, how are you?

Clara: You're in my vlog. Andréa: Hi.

Clara: I'm vlogging today, so I've thought all morning that I have to remember to record everything.

Because it's so boring when you, in the beginning of the day, are like "today I'm gonna do this and this"

and then you only record when you're on your way to each one of the places.

Andréa: So have you remembered? Clara: No.

Clara: That's what's up. Andréa: Clara...

Andréa: Then you'll join us on our lunch. That's what Clara does all the time.

Clara: And for those of you who don't know, this is Andréa, my manager.

Clara: Ask me how the Hasse Andersson documentary went? Andréa: How did the Hasse Andersson documentary go?

Clara: Since I didn't record anything there.... I know, I totally forgot. Damn it.

But it went good, we only recorded for about half an hour.

And they were so wonderful, the most wonderful photographer and producer.

Andréa: He seems so cute, even in emails.

Clara: Yeah, they were awesome! Let's go have lunch.

Andréa: Do you wanna sit over here? Clara: Yeah, that's great.

Clara: This looks awesome. Andréa: Much wow.

I just had lunch with Andréa, which was nice and delicious.

So now I'm gonna find a toilet and then meet up with Calle!

I think we're going to Värmdö island,

or some kind of mini trip anyway.

Let's go.

What the hell.

Great weather.

Clara: I've met Calle! Calle: Hello.

Clara: How are you today? Calle: I'm good. A bit tired.

Clara: Are you excited for our day out? Calle: Hell yes!

Clara: It has almost stopped raining. So we have almost good weather.

Calle: Almost. Clara: Almost.

Clara: Where are we headed? Björnö..? Calle: Björnö! [= Bear island]

Clara (with lots of fake Gotland accent): BJÖURNÖUU Calle: (with actual Gotland accent): We're going to Björnö!

Clara: Are you from Gotland or what?

Calle: No.

Clara: This is lovely. Join us to Björnö!

Calle: BJÖIRNÖÖUU

Clara: Wohooo we're here! Calle: Wöhööuuu

Clara: So where are we going?

Calle: I don't know. But it's really warm!

Clara: It's great! Do you wanna take a swim?!

Calle: Yeah, no.

Clara: We should go here.

Calle: Yes! And here you can go by helicopter. That's awesome.

Clara: Here you can take a swim with your car if you want to.

Calle: That's not what it means, Clara.

Clara: Yes? Calle: No. It means... ugh.

Clara: We found the sea!

Which probably isn't the hardest thing to do when you're on an island.

But we've arrived anyway!

Wohooo! OH I can even smell the ...

Calle: Fart.

Clara: No, I smell the salt water!

I love that smell. Look! What a perfect place for a day out!

Calle: We have to go out to that rock over there.

Clara: Yeah. Calle:Yes.

Calle: Ueck. Clara: What?

Calle: It's a winged ant.

Clara: I'm just gonna go over here so that you can see exactly how idyllic this scene is.

I'm gonna take a photo of you, this looks so idyllic.

Okay, there we go.

Calle: Good? Clara: Super cute!

Clara: Now I'm gonna use this. Sponsored by HP!

You can print photos that are in your phone and I thought I'd show you how.

There... hello? Now it's on.

Then you connect via Bluetooth, and open the image in the Sprocket app.

This is what the app looks like. I thought I'd edit the picture, because you can do that.

I'm picking my favourite filter, which is some kind of vignette filter,

and now let's print it!

"Connecting to Sprocket printer. One image added to queue."

What's so cool about this is that it doesn't need any ink.

Calle: How can it not need ink..?

Clara: I don't know. It's... technology, Calle.

Calle: Cool thing! Clara: Very cool.

Calle: Look! Clara (with fake Gotland accent): Look Calle!

Calle: That's not how you say it, Clara.

Clara: Look how sweet! There you are!

Calle: Cool! Clara: You can have it.

Calle: Thanks. Clara: You're welcome.

Clara: It became quite chilly, it's all cloudy here now.

Clara: So we thought we'd check when the buses go back. Calle: That's right.

Calle: The next one goes at 4:50. Clara: Oh, then we have to leave now.

We're catching the next bus home, anyway.

But this was a great picnic place!

Calle: Indeed! Clara: It's so beautiful!

Calle: We'll probably head back out here in the summer.

Well, it's summer now, but I mean on a warm summer day.

Clara: Listen to the birds..!

Calle: Cuckoooo, cuckoooo...

Clara: No not the human bird, the real birds!

Calle: It's lovely. It's such a cliché but you get some time to breath.

Clara: Oh, Calle, no..... Calle: I really feel that way!

Clara: We're going back into town to grab something to eat,

and to meet up my mum! We're having an extra guest to the vlog today! So that's nice.

Calle: We're rolling. Clara: Are we rolling?

Clara: I thought I'd print another picture because I have this super cute one of me and Calle.

This one!

Clara: Cute huh? Calle: Yeah.

Clara: Should I edit this in some way? Maybe with some stickers. How about hearts?

Calle: At least it's not corny. Clara: Not at all, in my opinion.

Clara: Then I just press this printer button down here.

I love this! It's so pretty!

White with rose gold.

It comes in black, also, if you think white and rose gold is super ugly.

Hello?

Clara: Here it come. Calle: Cool!

Clara: Do you like it? Calle: Yeah, it's pretty.

We're home! And I once again forgot to record that, but

me and Calle have bought some sushi

and have had sushi and are hanging out with my dear mother.

Mum: Hi.

Mum: We're having ice cream and strawberries! Clara: Wow wow wow.

Mum: Hi Bob! Do you want ice cream?

Mum: But Clara, is this really a cat?

Clara: That's what I ask myself every day. Calle: She actually is a dog.

Clara: She chased her tail the other day. Mum: She's eating chocolate ice cream?!

Clara: But don't give her ice cream! That can't be good?

Mum: Oh, sorry. Will she get a bad stomach?

Clara: Mum, she's a cat.

Clara: ... I just said that there's no ink. We just printed this with the HP printer,

it's no ink! Zero Ink.

Mum: But it has to be something.

Clara: Yes of course it's something, but I don't know what. It's not ink anyway.

Mum: Well there's nobody inside drawing with a felt pen, so what is it?

Clara: I DON'T KNOW, MUM

Mum: Well find out then!

Mum: I want that! Clara: We just printed this. Isn't it pretty?

Mum: I want it in my wallet. Clara: Here you are.

Now it's already 10:15 pm, we've had dinner with my mum...

The day is over. So, well ...

Calle: Look how pretty you became. Very nice hat on you.

Clara: Thanks for watching and for joining us today!

It's been fun to vlog with you today.

Please leave a comment if you want me to do follow me arounds more often.

Stop laughing, Calle.

I also want to say thanks to HP, thank you for letting me try your printer.

I really appreciated it. Fun thing! I'm going to use it a lot this summer.

If you're interested in the printer then there's a link in the description for you to check out.

Guys, thanks for watching! Take care and I'll see you as usual next week.

Bye!

Starting Your Doorstep Trash Valet Business [7 Rules to Follow] - Duration: 6:06.

Hi, this is RJ Watters with National Trash Valet and today I wanted to talk about the

7 rules you should follow when starting your doorstep trash valet business.

So, starting a doorstep valet trash business is an exciting time in your life because you

are going on a new venture with a business and looking to generate money, become your

own boss, but along the way there will be success and some failure.

Which failure is fine because you can learn from it, which is one of the greatest things possible.

Having some rules and guidelines along the way will help you be successful and that what

I kind of wanted to share with you today.

If you follow these 7 rules to help kickstart your bsuiness, you can start in a really good

spot a little bit above the competition or right in with the competition from the get-go.

Rule #1: Determine Your USP

Well, what is a USP?

It is a unique selling proposition.

What makes your company really stand out compared to your competitor or some other people that

are in the market.

How is your company better.

What would make potential clients come to seek you out?

Oh, I want your service.

Well why, why do they want your service above everyone else, so you really need to hone

in on what makes you special as a company.

Rule #2: You Need to Commit to Your Brand

Afer you go through the process of figuring out your name, your brand, who you really

are.

You have to think long-term, it's not a short-term game.

No one really goes into business for a year and they're done.

You don't want to listen to the negative people because it will fuel you in the wrong direction.

You want to be as successful and positive as possble and go all in with a no-lose mentality.

If you do that you're willing to claw and scratch your way to the top.

Beat your competitors, match their pricing, beat their pricing, whatever it needs you

will get the job done and you will be successful.

Rule #3: Get to Know Your Customers

Understand your target demographics in the areas you are going to try to be servicing

or starting your business.

What is the age group of your clients?

What are their careers?

How much income do they make per year?

What's their family dynamic?

This kind of all filters in because maybe you might focus on college areas or maybe

you might focus on senior citizen communities only.

It really depends on how you present yourself in your sales meetings to pitch your business.

Also, refining your client realtiosnhips, so if you want to ask your client's opinion

on, oh what about this business structure?

This is what I have for you.

WHat's the best way we can operate for you?

Answer your emails and phone calls as quickly as possible to communicate with them issues

and concerns.

Have informational or Q&A sessions if they want it.

Drop by the office regularly.

I can't stress that enough.

More in person communication is really the way to go.

Rule #4: Don't Wait

What do I mean by don't wait?

Well, be proactive.

Don't have something come to you, you want to go after it.

Do something every day that advances your business.

Create a task sheet and every day try to create or make one task and check it off and don't

wait for a certain issue to come up.

Launch and adapt.

Launch your business and adapt.

Go out and try to find clients and adapt as things go on because there will always be

something different that comes up.

Rule #5: Embrace Your Finances

You need to create a budget and keep track of where all of your money is going.

There is a couple of free services that will help you with that.

There is a free training from the Small Business Association called Money Smart for Small Businesses.

It is great to hone you in on areas that you need to focus in on your business.

You can seek out additional classes at a community college for finance.

Otherwise, there is a lot of free sources online that can really help you create your

business budget, especially if you have a business plan you'll need a budget for that

as well.

Rule #6: Love the Service Industry

You are there to help.

You're there to help a community, you're there to help people so you really want to love

the job that you're doing.

Know your service is making a difference.

You are picking up trash every night, yeah but you are also helping the landfills, you're

helping potentially recycling if you're offering that in the service as well.

You can be helping the community and the Earth as well, which is really satisfying.

Rule #7: Write Your Business Plan

I spoke about this briefly earlier, but it should be one of the first steps you do and

really helps to define the objectives and the goals of your company on what you want

to do and project as a company going forward.

From price points to budgets, just anything that your business could do.

This is really a living document because it will be updated as you go or you might revisit

it every six months.

Plus if you start getting big enough that your looking for outside investors they'll

want to see a business plan, your budget, your forecast, estimates for your revenue

and then like I said, it really just helps you create goals and stay focused.

If you every veer you just go back to the business plan and see what your objectives

are and you're right back on task.

These have been the 7 steps to help you start your valet trash franchise or business.

I hope it was a great guide to kind of get you going in the right direction you need.

The best method I can really tell you is learning through doing.

Failure is great because if you fail at something you actually learn more from it because you're

going to adjust and move so don't be afraid to fail as you'll learn quick and you'll grow

your business.

Thanks for watching.

If you liked what you saw, please follow our channel for more videos on starting or running

your valet trash business.
