is being an introvert such a bad thing? in short, no! what's up everybody? Today

I'm going to talk about being an introvert. Being an introvert is usually

seen as a negative thing, but like everything in life there's positive and

negative aspects of everything. And what I think for myself is that introverts

are misunderstood, but what you don't know is every 1 in 3 people are

introverts. so maybe one of your friends are introverts. And the first thing

people say about introverts is they are shy. Which being shy and being

introverted is not the same thing. Being shy is thinking on what people would say

about you, and being introverted it has a lot of different elements to it. So it's

not that one just aspect of just being shy. So point number one being an

introvert is not necessarily mean that the person is shy. But, I'm going to try

to make this as interactive as possible so I'm going to do it in different

locations for each point I make. So in between each one of the points I'm going

to have some b-roll just to keep it exciting. So let's go!

Number 2, another misconception people have about introverts is that they're antisocial

they don't like to be around people, or they're judgmental because they like to

sit by yourself and really look at things. Also introverts get energy out of

solitude while extroverts get more energy out of being around people. so

sometimes after talking to people for hours. I need something to recharge and

get my energy back. Also you have to think on, Introverts is more quality over

quantity. I'd rather have a quality amount of friends around me that I can

have deep talks with, than a quantity amount of people that we're not talking about

talking about nothing much. Just more small talk so. so point number two

introverts are not really antisocial or, it is not that they don't like to be

around people but sometimes they need some time just to recharge and get

yourself back together

The third thing that is there about being an introvert is that where we

over-analyze every situation. which is not true, we just try to make the best

decision possible. For example, we are good for when they're making tough

decisions because we actually analyze the problem or whatever the situation is

and try to make the right decision. And that means that we don't really use

emotions to make our decisions. Also we are good listeners so people tend to

gravitate towards us. (that) we really listen to what is going on, and we don't

tend to cut off what the person is saying. So number three will be that we

don't overanalyze we just try to make the best decision possible.

we're not trying to be perfect but we just try to make it as good as possible

The 4th thing people say about introverts is that they're bad public speakers. Where I beg

to differ because for example when I have to do a presentation. I'm not

necessarily shy. I might not like to do presentations but I will do what I have

to do get it done! also I have a good example, Barack Obama

is an introvert. And when he has his (speeches) speeches and those type of

stuff. It moves people, so don't think because someone is an introvert they

can't speak in public because that is a lie. That's one of the biggest myths! and

for those that think that it can't be successful just because they are

introvert. I can give you some names that are introverts but are successful. Bill

Gates one of the richest people in the world, if not, the richest person

in the world he's an introvert. Warren Buffett, which is the best investor in

the world he is also an introvert. Rosa Parks is an introvert. Albert Einstein

is an introvert, just to name a few. so being an introvert

is not necessarily a bad thing. So don't think just because you're introvert

you can't be successful. Or you have to change yourself just to apply to someone

else. So stick to just the way you are, and be an introvert and be a proud

introvert. And don't try to be an extrovert, just be yourself!

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit | A Soft-Spoken Masterpiece - Duration: 4:19.

Sometimes a movie or a book or TV show comes along and affirms your worldview,

and while that may sound dangerous like an echo chamber,

it can be just the opposite if you see the world in a different way.

If you, for example, enjoy violent media but know it's ravaging your soul,

and simultaneously believe that violence is not inherent to the human condition.

Such an idea is not often expressed in popular culture,

and that's part of what makes Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit is so very special to me.

It carries this message and that's astounding.

As mentioned, it's rare enough for a work of media to speak to you directly.

But for that work, a television show in this case,

to also be so acutely appealing in its depiction of a physically superior,

tactically intelligent woman protagonist,

and then for that television show to be a masterpiece of storytelling,

emotionally overwhelming and thematically resonant--

several years later, it comes to occupy my thoughts now and again,

and I loathe myself for not finding the words to express my appreciation.

This is one attempt, and will probably not be the last.

Initially striking and then lasting is the show's beauty--

light fantasy visuals matching a breathtaking tale of 'making peace' in a number of ways:

with one's past, with the fear of a powerful kingdom, and with violence itself.

This amazing protagonist is Balsa, a bodyguard who borders on silent

but says as much with her narrowed eyes as she does with her quips and observations.

She is tasked with protecting a young boy while on a quest

to make amends for eight people she murdered in her past--

keeping this child safe from assassins while 'finding another way,'

a better way to survive, or even exist with herself, one that doesn't involve killing.

That's the foundation of the show and that's such a humanistic premise,

but it's maximized by the follow-through--

the driving force of waging peace reaches the highest level of this society

in a quest to defeat a mysterious, supernatural element

that requires we share knowledge and get back in touch with our cultural roots.

It's one of those narratives that could save the world but that also somehow doesn't point fingers,

being far too preoccupied by its intimate and uplifting relationships and teary-eyed tragedies.

And it all comes back to Balsa, who's just so effortlessly cool, one of my favorite characters.

She's funny and mysterious and compassionate and very powerful,

and she's on a great journey with a past and a future,

but attending to an urgent present that is very much worth addressing.

There are themes of motherhood and parenthood,

so a western analogue to Moribito could be Steven Universe,

though the two are quite disparate tonally.

Uh, maybe The Last of Us?

Both have that kind of aching sadness throughout.

All great things, all three of those,

but Moribito touched my heart in a way that only Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has since.

It was like… Kill la Kill, Moribito, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend for me,

in terms of external embodiments of my soul,

media that people accidentally made with me in mind and I have difficulty reconciling.

You can find Moribito on Amazon, but a word of warning:

just as we around the world are accustomed to think the Asian accent is funny,

the theme song does the L and R switch and may be kind of jarring at first or second blush.

But it's very earnest, just like the show-- I actually like the song-- but it's different, you know.

And it's kind of futuristic tone for the whole of it,

as we may find our more improved selves by watching the show to the final bittersweet scene,

and not laugh at something that to my ears at least, does sound kind of off.

Even still.

today today I was awesome nice and relaxing in the morning I just had live

stream and it was great hanging out with you guys there was some weird stuff that

went on there that we're not going to even get into right now but anyway after

the stream me my friend went for a walk actually a couple hours after the stream

we went for a walk and so we went there was a set of stairs I can there's a

railing down the set of stairs and there's a chain link fence on the other

side is a railing by this set of stairs with plants sticking out of it right

okay well I don't think any of these plants were going to be evil or anything

so what what I did is I on the railing and I let myself gently at a snail's

pace slide down the railing because it's something I wanted to try and it's kind

of fun and silly and as I went to get off the railing and evil plant sticking

out of the darn thing grabbed at my neck and viciously ripped it open I'm kidding

no but it kind of like scraped my neck I don't know if you can even see the bit

of red that's on my neck there anymore

I don't know if it really it looks like what it really looks like anymore it

seems to be going away now I just have shower and it was kind of burning a

little bit in the shower but it burned later on like mom and I were having

supper and just as we were kind of finishing it was really burning so I

went and I like wiped it off with some with a wet napkin and put lotion on it

and the lotion made it burn so much more it was horrible I guess as long as I

don't start turning into a plant I think things are probably fine yes anyway

moving on while I was waiting for mom to come home to come pick me up on her way

home from work I did a little bit of stuff with a railing outside and so

here's some bonus parkour

all I did there was vaults and like balance on the bar and that kind of

thing but it was still kind of fun to do and yeah that was my day I hope yours

12. A River Severn long cruise turned into an even longer one in baking heat and unable to stop. - Duration: 4:20.

So I've now left Gloucester, we went through the actual dock, and then

through the lock. It was a bit quicker emptying then it was filling I must say.

Absolutely brilliant day to cruise, and we're back on to the River Severn, heading

north. I'm going to attempt to go up to Upton-upon-Severn. It's quite a way, it's around

about 6, 6 and 1/2 hours of travelling, but I've got Molly bed, I've got water, I've

got my lunch, so fingers crossed It should be alright!

Once you leave the east channel of the river, you pass Upper Parting. It's where

the bulk of the river's water flows, bypassing the Gloucester lock and dock,

and you definitely feel the current change. If heading downstream towards

Gloucester, this is the point your advised to call ahead to the Gloucester lock.

It's actually quite nice navigating rivers and possibly difficult, journeys

with other people, especially people that know what they're doing,

like Carolyn and Andy. They've been on this river before, they've

experienced it, they know what to look out for. At this time of year the river

is tidal up to Upper Lode Lock. But once the gates open, the current was calmer and

there was less floating debris.

The river is the greatest in terms of water flow in England and Wales, and is

around 220 miles in length. Starting in the Cambrian mountains in Mid Wales, it

then flows through the counties of Shropshire, Worcestershire and

Gloucestershire, where I started today. I joined the River Severn here in episode 6,

after travelling down the neighbouring River Avon.

We're now on the non-tidal part of the River Severn, lovely day, nice and calm,

just north of Tewkesbury, and I'm going to moor up at Upton-upon-Severn

tonight, before our even longer journey tomorrow.

Well I wasn't expecting that when

going through King John's bridge, but with a river so large, it comes with

large vessels!

This is what I'm finding when traveling on rivers, you just mustn't have any

strict deadlines. I just went through Upton-upon-Severn expecting to moor up, and

unfortunately there's no mooring spots available. So, I've had to keep going, and

the next mooring spot is Worcester, which is a good three, three and a half hours

away. I've got loads of fuel, I've got lots of water on deck, because I can't stop

anywhere, so I've just got to keep on going. Lavish and grand cruises moor up

to the south of Worcester, and it's been a very long, tiring and hot day. The bridge

arches spanning across the river, are a welcome sight, as it means we've finally

reached Worcester. Next time I discuss the poorly installed spray foam lining

that came with the boat, and how I've planned the internal layout. Don't forget

The intoxicated lad got into the lift at around 1am on Wednesday with Miguel Alves – a 13th floor resident – who was just getting in from work.

He lurched towards the elevator control panel and luckily hit into level 4 – where it is believed an exploding fridge had allegedly caused the north Kensington blaze which tragically claimed 30 lives.

And when the doors opened, the flames were spreading between the second and 24th floors which left the pair chocking.

It meant Mr Alves carried on up to his level and desperately woke his wife Fatima, daughter Ines, 16, and son Tiago, in order to get them out.

He then dashed around the building banging on the doors of as many neighbours as possible to alert them of the fire. The dad has told his story to his friends who have hailed his unselfish actions.

One friend told The Sun: "If that lift had not opened at the fourth floor many more lives would have been lost.

"He doesn't know where the drunk was just 'joyriding' in the lift or was searching for his flat – but it was incredibly fortunate he hit that button." Daughter Ines frantically grabbed her GCSE revision papers and escaped the blazing block.

She then attended her chemistry exam the following morning at Sacred Heart School in Hammersmith. She has since spoken of her test saying: "Considering what had happened I think it went OK.".

Cops believe the death toll is expected to rise to hundreds as some victims can never be identified from the fire. Syrian refugee Mohammed Al Haj Ali, 23, was the first victim to be named after the deadly blaze.

Meanwhile, desperate parents were witnessed throwing their children out of the windows to get them to safety.
