Hi there! I'm Courtney Sgambelluri.
I help people get out of pain with posture therapy.
In person in the Seattle area, and all over the world via Skype,
FaceTime and email.
Posture therapy is a way for people to get out of acute and
chronic pain through gentle corrective exercise.
Often posture therapy is someone's last resort.
They might have, you know, back pain or shoulder pain or neck pain.
They've tried yoga or acupuncture or chiropractic work or massage therapy
with little to no lasting relief, or maybe they have a surgery scheduled but
they want to avoid that surgery.
One of my favorite clients was a ten-year old
boy who started in a wheelchair. He had nodules on all of his joints, on his
knees, on his wrist and his elbows, and he couldn't straighten out his fingers all the way.
And the doctors said that he probably wouldn't ever be able to
straighten them out all the way, and I worked with him from October to June,
every day, and we got him out of a wheelchair and then walking and then
running.
My clients use posture therapy to get out of acute and chronic pain,
increase and maintain their balance and mobility, and prevent future pain and
injury. I also work with people who aren't in pain that just want to improve
their posture, so if they're not happy with the way they look.
To achieve these goals we focus on treating the entire body, going after the root cause of the
symptom. We do this through simple and effective exercises, empowering you to
regain control of your health instead of being dependent on drugs, braces or surgery.
One great thing about the exercises is they're customized to your
ability, your needs and your busy time schedule, and they can be done from the
comfort of your own home with little to no equipment.
My goal is to help you achieve your goals,
whether that's being able to run again pain free, to get down
on the ground and play with your grandchildren or to get rid of your
hunchback so you look and feel younger. I want you to enjoy a long, healthy life,
full of energy with the people you love, doing the activities you love.
