How To: Bantu Knot Out on Coily Kinky Natural Hair | Heatless Curls Overnight - Duration: 7:31.

Hi everyone! I asked you all what hairstyle you wanted to see and the

majority of you chose the Bantu Knots, so today I am sharing this video because of

your votes. Thanks to all of you who voted in the poll and I really hope you

enjoy this tutorial.

To start, I make my sections according to how big or small I want the curls. The

larger your section, the bigger your curls will be. With this style, I never

spray water on the hair first before styling because the two products that I

use have water as the first ingredients and they're gonna moisturize and make

the hair damp for me.

The first product I'm using is a mousse. It's lightweight and foamy so it's gonna

make the hair damp and give it some hold.

The next product I'm using is a curl cream. This is the only curl cream I use

and it's gonna give me the moisture, the shine, and some more hold. So now I've

applied both products to the hair and you can see that it's slightly damp. The

products gave me just the right amount of dampness which is why I never spray

water on the hair before bantu knots. To make the bantu knot, I start twirling the

hair about two or three inches away from my scalp. If I start at my scalp then the knot

will be too tight and I'll have a headache if I keep it that way for too

long so... I twirl the hair around my index finger which is the finger next to my

thumb. I like to have control over the hair so I always work with only a little

bit of hair at once. I don't try to twirl the hair all the way down to the ends at

one time. At certain points, I stop and then I take the hair that I just twirled

around my finger and I wrap it in a circle at the root. I never keep twirling

the same hair over and over again, if I do that the hair won't form a curl;

instead, it'll look stringy and limp looking because the hair is twirled too

tightly

If you get confused, just think of a bantu knot as a finger coil in a circle

because you're basically doing the same technique. The only difference with this

style is that you're forming a knot after you've twirled the hair around

your fingers and the purpose of the knot is to actually hold the finger coil in

place. And needless to say, a bantu knot is a whole different curl than a finger

coil. The knot is secure by itself but I'm gonna be sleeping in these

overnight so I place a rubberband at the base because I don't wanna risk them

unraveling on me

The ends can make or break this whole hairstyle so be sure to tuck them all

the way around the knot. If you don't, they'll probably get frizzy and if the

ends are frizzy then the rest of the hair that did form a curl will lose its

shape quicker

You'll be able to feel which direction the hair naturally wants to form in a

circle. Here I'm showing you that this is the wrong way because the hair won't

even form in a circle on its own

To take down, I open up the knot and untwist it all the way to the ends. If I

don't do this before separating the curls then, I'll just be forcing the hair

loose and if I force the hair loose, then I'll lose the curl and it'll just make

the hair frizzy. To separate, I look to see where there is space and then I just

separate as I see fit

From here, I'll continue to let you watch the rest of the video. Thanks to everyone

who voted for this tutorial, thanks for the love and I hope this video is

helpful in some way. Be good and take care! :-)

How does 2 Peter 2:1 reconcile with the doctrine of particular redemption? - Duration: 3:14.

CARLOS: Good evening, John.

I just want to tell you I love you.

JOHN: Thank you...thank you.

I'll take that any time.

Thank you.

CARLOS: In regards to particular redemption or some would call it limited atonement...

JOHN: Sure.

CARLOS: I love your teaching on that the last year and a half or so, I appreciate it.

In 2 Peter chapter 2 verse 1 it says, "But false prophets also arose among the people,

just as there will also be false teachers among you who will secretly introduce destructive

heresies even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves."

Can you tell me how that verse reconciles with the doctrine of particular redemption?

You know, the fact that Christ didn't die for people who will never be saved...according

to...

JOHN: Well apart from the rather extensive note in the Study Bible, there is a very extensive

note there on that because it's a very important issue...and I think...what I've said here,

and I will read it because I think it's important.

The terms which Peter used here are more analogical than theological, speaking of a human master

over a household, the Master bought slaves and the slaves owned the Master allegiance

as their sovereign.

Where God in Deuteronomy has said to have bought Israel though they rejected Him.

Doctrinally this analogy can be viewed as responsibility for submission to God which

the false teachers had refused.

We're not talking about bought in a redemptive sense.

We're not talking about bought in a ransom sense.

We're not talking about bought in a salvific sense.

We're talking about being bought analogically.

And in this sense, every human being that comes into the world has an obligation to

God.

And as I see it, that's the best way to understand that.

If you take...what he's asking, of course, is if you take a limited atonement view, that

is that Christ actually provided a real atonement for all those who would believe and for no

one else, then you cannot say about an apostate that the Lord bought them.

So that's the question.

But here it does say that and I feel the best response to that is that this is analogical.

That is to say, every human being has an obligation to God as sovereign master.

And to fail to fulfill that obligation, look at the human responsibility side, brings about

swift destruction.

It clearly says they deny the master...they deny the master.

And that's where you draw the analogy part of it.

They are guilty of rejecting their responsibility to the sovereign who is over all men.

And consequently they exist in a position of disobedience and rebellion for which they

are culpable.

Okay?

Good question.

How To Stop Taking Things Personally (STOP GETTING OFFENDED!) | Self-Help Yourself - Duration: 14:46.

how to stop taking things personally when others say something offensive to

us we cannot completely agree with what people say all the time and today I'm

going to give you the exact reason why we start thinking this way why we take

things personally and how to break out of this dysfunctional pattern to develop

a healthy thing in pattern and function like a champion in all areas of your

life you get offended easily you take things to heart you do all of this

primarily because you have been brought up in a culture of honor your self-worth

is determined not by yourself but what the other people say who stand

around you that's important to consider because when we look at this how we feel

when other people tell us something that offends us we have two options we either

react or we respond when we react we take things personally we get into a

situation where hey this person has offended me now it's up to me to defend

my honor to react to the situation by somehow fighting by throwing words

cussing at this person by throwing punches looking to kill that person

that's how you react where the emotional experience has taken over how you think

and feel and how you behave in this situation and it causes more problems

because the emotional arousal stays for a longer period of time this is why you

get angry and frustrated when someone offends you they have damaged your honor

this concept has been explained once again making a special appearance in

this channel is the book outliers by Malcolm Gladwell which talks about the

important concept of coming from a culture of Honor

there are two families in the south of the u.s. in the 1800s they have a family

feud going on and how does this Family Feud start off one family member

accidentally shoots another family member of the other family now this

family member says hey this person has soiled my honor now it's up to me to

react now I want to pay him back for what pain he has caused me now this may

be emotional pain it's maybe physical pain this may be something that has

damaged the person the self worth how does that person see himself I attach my

value to that honor this is how I have been raised that I need to defend myself

by fighting back so what is this person do goes and kills another couple of

family members here and it starts off a chain reaction this person goes and

kills another family member here another three died here five died eight died 29

until the entire valley is a chaos the entire valley is completely destroyed

all the people are dead and for what one accidental shooting where this person

damaged the honor of his family and now I need to pay that person back do you

see how being raised in a culture of Honor can change how you react when

someone offends you when someone says something against you or friends you

throws a cuss how do you take it do you stand for it do you react to it do you

respond to it that's where the key lies because when you react in a situation

like this it causes problems it's not so much the fact that that person has

offended you it's the belief that I should not stand for something

when someone offends me I shouldn't stand for it that's where it's coming

from you've been taught how to do it you've

been taught to come from a place of honor

you cannot soil my honor and get away with it you take it personally because

you have been taught to do it you are supposed to believe that by reacting in

this fashion by taking it personally or by either fighting back cussing at that

person I am somehow defending my honor think about that someone who is let's

say an Indian that person see someone who has not stood up for the national

anthem what is the perception here the perception isn't that you have offended

me by not standing up it's not that that person has offended me by not standing

up for the national anthem and singing it's the belief that I am an Indian I am

an Indian and this person is disrespecting what it means to be Indian

there it is that's where the problem lies that's why I take it personally

because my belief system allows me to think in that fashion that somehow if

this person doesn't stand up if this person stands up somehow they are

fulfilling what I have been taught to believe while going up do you see where

it comes from here reacting I can either scream at that person hey

stand up stand up and show respect for the national anthem

the self-respect the self-worth of being an Indian that is justified by forcing

this person to stand up and follow a certain belief system that I choose to

believe now it's that person's choice whether they want to actually stand up

and pay respect to the national anthem but I choose to force my beliefs upon

that person by getting irked Cheers another way of looking at it

I can also respond now Here I am emotionally emotionally earth I am

emotionally responding within seconds of that person not showing me respect

seconds within that person not standing up for the national anthem in showing

the country the due respect that it deserves here on the other hand you

think from a rational point of view hey maybe that person isn't from this

country hey this person may be sick hey this person may actually not want to

stand up maybe the person respects the country in different ways

maybe the person has different values maybe the person doesn't want to stand

up for his or her personal reasons maybe the person is physically disabled

there may be n number of reasons why the person chooses to react the way they do

but here we have an opportunity to respond how do we do that

if someone offends us take it through this year pull it out through the other

how strongly do you attach your value to the words that other people say and how

strongly do you attach value to what you think of yourself

your belief system and how do you defend yourself when someone dis magis Your

Honor your value how do you react that's the critical factor because if you

choose to Rea react in a way that is causing problems

we know that through the ventilation fallacy I've already made a video on

this on how we choose to react when we get angry we choose to react a certain

way because we believe that is the right thing to do it will make us feel better

but the emotional arousal the anger the frustration that we experience it

carries over it spreads to other situation and just like how it happened

with that family feud it gets transferred to other people's anger and

hate is very strong and we can easily teach other people how to it so if

that's the belief system that you are coming from think about how you should

respond in that situation is the way that I am reacting healthy for me is

taking things personally making me feel any better

why did that person say what they did what does it mean

does it actually afflict my self-worth does it actually really matter to me as

much as I am placing importance on it right now think about it like that all

of these questions can actually make you understand this problem from a much

clearer perspective because when you respond in this manner by asking

questions you choose to not take things personally as much you try to understand

it from the other person's perspective and you also can do this you remember

that most of the people make such comments these are the people whom we

will likely never meet again they are beyond our inner circle the two groups

of people our family our friends the people whom we hang around with the most

these are our inner circle our lifelong companions now outside of this inner

circle the people who might do not give priority are the people who typically

make these comments the people who can offend us and that can emotionally hurt

us because they have damaged our self-worth what do you do you choose to

ignore it walk away from the situation if you can or walk up to the person

confront them don't throw words at them don't say something that you may regret

or may damage that person's self-worth instead just tell them that hey you are

crossing a certain boundary here I value myself highly I choose not to stand for

this statement that you made make it specific so that you tell the other

person that hey I am NOT going to stand for this particular thing that you do

defend the statement don't defend the person defend the statement don't defend

the person because when we generalize that's when problems get created respond

in such a manner where you pinpoint the exact situation where that person

offended you in some way and tell that person how you would like

them to behave and if they still do not behave in a different way

you still somehow take things personally walk away from the situation walk away

there is no heart there are only two options there either stand and defend

yourself definitely not reacting to the situation

but responding in a way that allows us to function in a healthy way anger

doesn't really help anger when controlled becomes a much healthier

emotion versus when it is totally out of control anger and aggression can

dominate our thinking process and can easily get transferred to how we think

and feel as well as how other people think think and feel when they are

around us so keep that in mind if you want to take things personally remember

what it is doing to you it's not good it's not healthy there are a multitude

of other ways that you can go about dealing with the process if you allow

yourself to choose what you want give yourself a choice remember that you have

an option of responding not reacting when you respond you allow yourself to

come from a rational school of thinking where you ask yourself questions you

come to a realization that hey I don't have to think this way there are much

better ways for me to think about myself it's not an easy process but it's a

habit you choose to develop ask yourself questions regularly and come to unknown

and understanding that hey I don't have to do this to myself there

is always a better way of reacting to the situation I am going to give myself

that choice that's what I want for myself and that is what I am going to do

if the strategy works out for you comment down below and tell me exactly

Soluble Corn Fiber - How Food Companies Overstuff Fiber Into Keto Products - Duration: 4:39.

People have been doing the low-carb thing (and bragging about it on the internet) for

a long time.

So when the ketogenic diet became a thing in recent years, the market responded by offering

a bunch of products that claimed they had the same thing: low net carbs.

One of the ways food scientist can do that is by using carbohydrates in the form of fiber,

a nutrient that doesn't get digested by your body, so it doesn't count towards calories.

It also makes for some healthy poops - so there's that.

But how do you stuff that much fiber, sometimes the same amount as multiple servings of fruits

and veggies, into such small products?

And more importantly, what does it do in our bodies?

[swoosh transition] Okay, big picture: fiber /is/ good for you.

It has all kinds of health benefits and it usually comes from fruits and veggies, so

overall it gets a thumbs up from nutrition experts.

But what makes fiber so unique is how it isn't digested by the body - since you can't metabolize

it, it doesn't count towards net carbohydrates.

And with so many people looking for low carb options, food scientists got to work.

At first, companies used foods like dates or figs to bind the bar together, which added

fiber.

You could get 4 or 5 grams of fiber in a 50 gram bar, which is reasonable.

It's what you'd expect if you ate the raw ingredients.

As the demand for low carb snacks grew, companies started using IMO's, or isomaltooligosaccharides

which brought the net carbs down but tastes like chalk and urine.

That was popular in the industry for a while, but consumers wanted something that tasted

like, good for a change, so food scientists cooked up soluble corn fiber or SCF.

It was a good move - the products started getting better textures and finally didn't

taste like licking the inside of a gas station bathroom.

But you'll notice that products that use SCF have /a lot/ of fiber in them.

Like, 17 grams in a single bar.

That's a lot.

But it /does/ have some of the same benefits as traditional fiber.

A handful of animal and human studies saw that corn fiber had a good glucose and insulin

response, which is good news for diabetics, especially if this ingredient was gonna be

used in low sugar foods.

And in multiple studies, corn fiber had a lower glycemic response than straight glucose

- it was a slow bump in blood sugar instead of a big spike.

SCF helps with digestive health as well.

In the few randomized clinical trials that have been performed, participants who supplemented

about 20 grams of corn fiber a day /did/ have bulkier poops.

For the kids watching this, mark my words: there will be a time in your life when the

quality of your poops make the biggest difference in how your day is going.

I'm not kidding.

But while its effects on glucose and poops are similar to traditional fiber, how soluble

corn fiber /works/ in the body isn't quite the same.

After passing through the small intestine, SCF is fermented by your microbiome - the

bacteria living in your large intestine.

They turn the substance into energy for themselves and leave behind some short chain fatty acids

like butyrate which have their own health benefits.

And according to a study in 2012 study, SCF actually can help increase the amount of helpful

bacteria in your gut.

So not only is it a fiber supplement, but also a potential prebiotic.

And none of that is a bad thing.

But still, I'm not totally sold.

Where's the drawback?

Why aren't we all supplementing soluble corn fiber food products?

The answer is exactly that.

It's a food product, not ya know, food.

One of fiber's big benefits is that it helps you feel full for longer, so researchers from

the University of Minnesota put it to the test.

In their study, they got twenty hungry college kids and gave them either a regular muffin,

or a muffin with 25 grams of fiber - an entire day's recommended value.

It's a lot.

The subjects reported no difference in their level of fullness when comparing the types

of muffins.

And that's not really surprising.

Not because of some unique thing about soluble corn fiber, but because of the idea of being

full.

You need to eat a big, filling salad to get 25 grams of fiber.

By sheer volume alone, you're gonna be full after that.

But to get the same amount of fiber from soluble corn fiber, you're nibbling on maybe a protein

bar and a half.

It might not be the low carb trend that dieters are after, but it's way tastier.

[swoosh transition] So for bulkier poops and low glycemic index,

this stuff checks out.

But remember, there are still so many more benefits from food-sourced fiber that those,

benefits that we haven't studied yet with soluble corn fiber.

So for now, I'm still sticking with salad.

That does it for this video.

If you learned something today, I really appreciate it if you like the video and subscribe.

And if you've got someone in your life doing the low carb thing, share this video with

them.

Otherwise, have fun, be good.

See you next time.

How do Pantsers Write? - Duration: 6:47.

Ironically, I'm wearing a dress not pants

I am a pantser

If you don't know what that means, a pantser is someone who doesn't plan, or plans very little

Here's the thing:

Outlines stresses me out so much

I hate writing outlines

If you've been or is currently in school, then chances are you probably had to write an essay at some point

Your teachers probably told you that it's better to write an outline before you write your actual essay

Spoiler alert: I have never written an outline for any of my essays

unless the outline is graded—in which case I just make it up

But the thing is, I write better without an outline

My ideas are already sorted in my head, so I just directly write them down

And yes, sometimes my ideas and thoughts get jumbled up

but I just keep typing anyways, because I can always go back and rearrange them

Also, FYI, I got super high on my English final exam without writing an essay, even though the teacher said it's basically impossible

Just saying

So I know a lot of you plotters, and just writers in general out there are scratching your head wondering,

so how do pantsers write?

If you don't have an outline then how do you know what to write?

And here's my answer: I don't know what to write. I just write

Let me explain

Of course, I know the premise of my story

I know the basic plot and all the important plot points that needs to happen

I know how the story starts, I know who dies, I know who helps the protagonist, I know how the villain is defeated, I know how the story ends

But the details within are completely up to me

For my own personal novel, I started with the idea of wanting to write something about Faeries

Simple

And then I come up with a plot, which is more or less the basic Hero's Journey

The protagonist gets taken out of her comfort zone, gets help, grows stronger, defeats the villain

Very basic

As I said before, I know where my story starts

How?

Because I already have the whole layout of my story in my head

It's kind of like a movie, I just watch it and then I just write it down on paper

And let me just say that I'm not complete pantser. I do write things down plan a little

Especially because I'm planning on having four books in my series

Meaning, if I don't plan a little, it's hard to keep my story together and consistent

And of course, I write down all the important information already mentioned so I can keep track of them

But most of the time I keep my story inside my head

I don't have to write it down

Now, not all pantsers are the same, the same way that not all plotters outline and plan the same

For me personally, I just need to know the premise of my story before I can start writing

I honestly don't have the patience to spend months just sitting down and outlining my story

In fact, if I really do try and sit down to write an outline

I won't even know where to start. Do I do it chronologically?

Do I do it by the scenes I'm most sure of?

You know? It sounds very much like me just writing

If I'm just going to, like, do this in my outline, why don't I just write the whole story and just do it there?

Because then I don't have to change it in as many places

Like, if I add scene, I have to add it in my novel AND in the outline so that I don't get messed up

And it's just...it's just a mess

With pantsing, I can literally jump from scene to scene and then figure out how to connect those scenes. It's kind of like a game

It's fun and creative and keeps me on my toes and really helps with writing on a spot

I just don't get how plotters do what they do. I truly admire them

I follow a lot of writers on YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr who plan the heck out of their story

They know exactly what the chapter is gonna be about, they know exactly how many scenes are gonna be in the chapter,

They can even predict how many words their book is gonna be!

I CANNOT

I have no freaking clue what my chapters are gonna be about

I just go with the flow

That—That really sucked

That's why I often surprise myself with what I write and I end up loving it even more

I feel like there are more plotters out there than there are pantsers, and maybe it's just me

Almost everyone I find on social media are plotters

so when I was first starting out, I felt like I was doing the wrong thing

I felt inferior to the other writers who I looked up to because they planned and I didn't

But I want to tell my fellow pantsers out there that you're not doing anything wrong

Just because you don't like to plan or outline doesn't make you a bad writer

For some reason I feel like pantsers are more looked down upon

People say that "oh, unless your plan, you can't write a good story"

Well, guess what? You're wrong

I'm won second place in a short story competition in the beginning of high school and went to the award show

One of the guest judges was a children's book author

and she gave a little speech about how you can't write unless you have an outline, and that writer's block doesn't exist if you have an outline

Yes...and no

Yes, you would probably have a clearer idea of what you need to write if you have an outline

But to be honest, I get stuck even if I do have an outline

When I write an outline, I get so focused on the outline and being afraid to stray from it

that I just end up not writing at all or writing complete crap

And also, I won second place without a DAMN OUTLINE

So write however you want

Just because you write or don't write a certain way doesn't make you a worse writer than those who write differently

Also, in case you didn't know, a famous pantser is Stephen King, who said that:

"Outlines are the last resource of back fiction writers who wish to God they were writing masters' theses"

It's quite a harsh quote. But hey, it means that pantsers can make it just like plotters

So all my insecure pantsers out there, be confident and keep doing what you're doing

That's all I have for today

Thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed my first writing video

If you would like to have a video about me going more in depth about how I write as a pantser,

please comment below and let me know. Please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe because I update every Friday

Bye!

Story/Facts and How to join all the Factions in Skyrim - Duration: 22:12.

Cheers guys, Sylth here

and today we're taking you through all the joinable factions

within skyrim, the elder scrolls V

note that I won't be including

bard's college, because although it is a joinable faction, it's not exactly

for fighting, it's more so that you can become a bard

and you know, the bards just sing

and play instruments, so it's a faction that is out of context

with the rest, so without further adue...

Lets get started... The Blades faction, whose

crest are

of course, 2 crossed blades with a crown on top

referring to their duty as protecters of the

emperor of tamriel

their main base of operations within skyrim is

sky haven temple, right next to markarth

what's more, the dragonborn

first gets to know this faction through the main questline

once they fine Delphine after completing the quest

Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. However,

it's only later, during the quest Alduin's Wall

that we truly get to know their sancturay named as

sky haven temple. Although the blades did

and still do watch over the empire

from the shadows and protect it,

their origins rely somewhere else.

They were actually dragon killers!

They even have

unique swords that can only be located within

sky haven temple, like dragon's bane.

Which obviously reffers to their past

as dragon hunters and dragon killers

if you notice here in the video, you can also see

that their sanctuary

is actually located underground

as you can see, the light coming from the roof,

which eludes to this kind of

darky secret organisation

that protects the empire. However,

unfortunately they did come to a fall

and it is in the elder scrolls 5, skyrim

that they get revived

and resurrected

because of the appearance of the dragonborn,

which is, of course, the player

that represents the life force

of the blades, since

the dragonborn is

the biggest dragonkiller, since he absorbs

its souls (dragon souls)

one thing that you'll also notice is what's happening right here

at the end of the main questline,

the blades will make you choose to side with them

or to side with the greybeards

because the greybeards' leader is paarthunax

and he was/is a dragon...

the dragons enslaved manking,

commited crimes against mankind

and the blades did not and do not tolerate that

and you're forced to choose to side with them

or to side with the greybeards, which is actually

the next faction we're gonna cover

but before we do, let's take a look at Alduin's wall

the most beautiful wall I've ever seen in my life

which foretells the prophecy of how to defeat alduin

Next in line are the greybeards.

They dislike the blades, because

they tried to kill their master

besides that,

the blades always criticize them, because

they do nothing, all they do is stand at their temple

in High Hrothgar, which is by the way

the highest peak in all of skyrim

And this dispute between the blades and the greybeards

can clearly be seen

when you try to negotiate a truce between the empire and the stormcloaks

Before the negotiation even starts,

The Greybeards deny entrance to the blades

and tell them they're not welcome here

if you've never seen this happen in-game

or if you've never done this quest,

or if you don't remember it, I'll be providing a link down below

I've done a video, in which you can see exactly what the negotiation is about

and what happens during it.

As of right now,

The Greybeards are composed/formed by 5 members

4 of which are monks

who reside within High Hrothgar

Named Arngeir

Borri, Einarth and Wulfgar

The fifth member, who is paarthunax

who resides within the throat of the world

Another undeniable fact about the greybeards, is that

they are masters of the voice

meaning that, they can shout and produce a thu'um

In fact,

They even teach the dragonborn his first steps

in the way of the voice

just so you know,

the difference between someone

who can wield the way of the voice and the dragonborn

is that unlike

any other common person,

the dragonborn is the only one who can

truly kill a dragon by devouring its soul

Another interesting side note is that

Ulfric Stormcloak, the leader of the Stormcloak Rebellion

was taught by the greybeards

how to wield the way of the voice

and he used the way of the voice to kill

Torygg, the high king of skyrim.

This assassination goes completely against the values that

the greybeards take into consideration

since they are very pacifist

and believe the way of the voice

is used not for agression and its true porpuse

is to commune with the gods

and promote peace as a whole

Now, let's take a look at

the leader of the greybeards

this dragon over here

As you can see, the leader of the greybeards is actually a very friendly dragon

he doesn't try to eat you or burn you alive

like the rest of the dragons...

After you've killed Alduin, all the dragons that sided with him

Will now help paarthunax and the greybeards.

Now, let's take a look at the empire

The guys who are trying to shut down the stormcloak rebellion

The empire's main base of operations resides

in Solitude

more specifically in castle dour

Unlike the stormcloaks, the empire bent the knee

to the aldmeri dominion

and was forced to abbide by some of their rules

like not worshipping the god Talos

which the stormcloak rebellion

obviously adores and wants to worship

this is the main reason why skyrim is under

a civil war between the empire and the stormcloaks

to join the empire, all you need to do is

follow exactly the path where I'm going

and speak to general Tullius, the leader of the empirial legion

within skyrim.

They will first lay out a test for you, to see if you're worthy

Then, you'll be ready to take the oath and truly become a member.

Now let's take a look at the Stormcloak Rebellion.

The guys who win a few good points

by trying to worship the god they want to (Talos)

but then, lose a bunch more points because they're racist and insult

everyone who isn't a nord.

The Stormcloaks main base of operations resides in The Palace of Kings

within the city of Windhelm.

To join the stormcloak rebellion,

all you need to do is follow the steps I'm showing on this video

You will see Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak

sitting on the throne. Left to the throne

is a little room

where Galmar Stonefist is located.

You need to speak to Galmar, so that you can

start getting ready to join the rebellion

Like the empire, they will first lay out a test for you

and then, if you're able to complete it

They'll accept you and you'll be ready to take the oath.

Next in line is the Dark Brotherhood

a secret organisation of assassins

who may be summoned through the black sacrament

To join the Dark Brotherhood,

all you need to do is to head over to any inn

and ask the innkeeper for any news

he will tell you that Aventus Arentino

is trying to perform the black sacrament in his parent's house.

Note that Aventus Arentino is an orphan

who has been mistreated by Grela, the kind

the owner of an orphanage in Riften

To sum it up,

Aventus performed the black sacrament

to summon the dark brotherhood (to kill Grela)

We go in there and steal the kill from the dark brotherhood.

Turns out the brotherhood doesn't like that

so they send you a note saying "We know"

Once you receive the note, sleep in any bed

and when you wake up, you'll notice you've been kidnapped

by Astrid

The leader of the Dark Brotherhood.

Turn around and you'll see three people who have also been kidnapped.

Just like you!

Then, Astrid tells you to kill 1 of them

to repay your debt

towards the dark brotherhood,

since you stole their other kill over Grela the kind.

After you've done the deed,

Astrid will invite you to the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary to join their family.

Once you're inside, you'll meet all the other members of the brotherhood.

Namely Arnbjorn, a native nord

that contracted lycanthropy and is now a werewolf

using his powers to perform his duties as an assassin

Babette, a breton child

who is 300 years old and keeps

her young childish appearance

because she's a blood sucking vampire

she uses the fact that she looks like an innocent child

for her advantage, making her assassinations

under the name of the dark brotherhood much easier

There is also Gabriella, a dunmer

who owns a big spider named Liss as a pet

and even tends to its nest from time to time...

needless to say that these 2 work together as a team to murder people...

Then, there is Nazir, a redguard

who did not forsake his origins

and still wears the red guard hood and clothes

as well as a scimitar, a curved sword

that was forged in the deserts of hammerfel

Then, there's Festus Krex

an elder, who claims to be an ex teacher

at the college of winterhold

he says he left the college

because no one truly appreciated magic as it should be

obviously Festus uses magic

to perform his assassinations...

Last but not least, there is Veezara

an argonian whose origins lay with the shadowscale

an old group of assassins who served the kind of argonia

veezara believes to be the last of the shadowscale

which led him to join the Dark Brotherhood.

As you progress through the story of the Dark Brotherhood

You'll notice that you lose a few members and win a few more

but I'll leave that for you to find out.

Now let's take a look at the companions faction

who trace their origins back to Ysgramor

and the group of 500 warriors who conquered skyrim

The companions are a guild of warriors

who reside within Whiterun

more specifically in Jorvaskrr

To join them, all you need to do is

to speak to one of their leaders, like

Farkas, Vilkas, Skjor or Aela

and tell them you want to be a companion

I have a more detailed video about the companions faction.

I'll leave a link to the video in the description

The companions own a unique forge called the skyforge

which is operated by Eorlund Greymane

A master smith who can teach you a lot about smithing

Besides that,

There is also another curiosity about the companions

They branch off into another sub faction

called The Circle

Composed only by the leaders of the companions

The Circle hold a dark secret that only the members know.

and once you join them,

they'll tell you they're all werewolves.

The Circle also own their own private chamber

named underforge

located right below the skyforge.

What's more, the underforge has a secre passage

that leads to the outskirts ofWhiterun.

Let's keep going and take a look at the College of Winterhold.

A guild of mages located far up,

in the northern reagions of skyrim.

To join this faction, all you need to do is:

go to winterhold and cross the bridge to the college.

when you try to do so,

Feralda will stop you

and force you to show her your skills as a magician.

If you don't have any, you are able to buy a few spellbooks from faralda

and then use the spells you've learnt

as a way to prove your magic abilities

Once you step into the college, you'll notice

they have their own library filled with books

and endless knowledge

As well as their own librarian, an orc

called Urag gro-Shub

Besides that, they also have many wizards

namely Savos Aren

The Archmage and leader of the college

Mirabelle Ervine the master wizard

whom you may speak to

to acquire novice mage robes and hood

Then, they also have Tolfdir.

A master wizard that teaches the alteration school of magic.

Colette Marence

Another master wizard that teaches the restoration school of magic.

Faralda

Another one that teaches the destruction school of magic

Drevis Neloren

a wizard as well....

that teaches the illusion school of magic

Phinis Gestor, a wizard

that teaches the conjuration school of magic

Finally, we have Sergius Turrianus

an expert enchanter who can teach you a lot about enchanting.

The College is overall not supported by the people of skyrim

due to its dark past

and fear of the power of magic

A long time ago, an event known as the great colapse

brought huge waves crashing down on winterhold.

Most of the once prosperous city was destroyed.

However, the College of winterhold was magically untouched

which led people to believe that the cause of the great collapse

was directly related to the mages at the college

The next faction we're gonna cover is the Thieves guild.

They reside in Riften and to join them,

you must go there

As soon as you arrive to Riften's market place during the day,

You'll notice Brynjolf

and after helping him out with framing an innocent civillian,

he will invite you into the Thieves Guild

After proving your worth,

You'll be awarded with the Thieves Guild armor.

As you might have already noticed,

the Thieves Guild home resides underground, in the sewers of Riften

Besides that,

although the Thieves Guild focuses on stealing

and the Dark Brotherhood focuses more on killing,

they are both related and often help each other.

One of the most important things about the Thieves Guild

are their shadowmarks.

Which are placed throughout skyrim by members of the guild

to leave indications or hints to other members.

Let's take a look at them.

Here is the safe shadowmark

it indicates that something or some path

is safe to follow.

The protected shadowmark

indicates that a certain place or someone

is under the guild's protection and should not be robbed or assaulted

The Guild Shadowmark, which is the Thieves Guild symbol itself

indicates that the place is safe and belongs to the guild

or that someone from the guild is nearby

The Fence shadowmark tells us that

there is a person nearby

willing to buy your stolen goods

this mark is very important

since normal traders and shop keepers

don't buy your stolen goods

only people identified with this mark do.

The thieves cache shadowmark,

which indicates that something of value was placed nearby

by the guild, for other members to pick up

it's basically a way for the guild to help each other

The loot shadowmark

tells us that there's somebody

or something nearby

that the guild's thieves have deemed worth stealing

The empty shadowmark

which indicates that someone from the guild already looted the place

and there is nothing of value nearby.

The danger shadowmark

which tells us that there's something or someone

dangerous nearby that can kill you

or give you a good fight if you try to steal from them.

At last, we have the escape route shadowmark.

Which tells us about the existance of a way

to leave a certain place if you find yourself trapped

This shadowmark can mostly be visible within jails.

If you've ever been caught and put into a jail you might have seen it.

Much like The Circle in the companions,

The Nightingales work simillarly

within the Thieves Guild

The Nightingales reside within the Nightingale Hall,

east of Riften and to join them

you'll need to join the Thieves Guild first.

and once you complete the quest Trinity Restored,

you'll be awarded with

the nightingale armor

and you'll be a fully fledged member.

You'll also notice that the group is very small.

composed only by you,

karliah and brynjolf.

The Nightingales worship the daedric lord Nocturnal,

which empowers them, giving the choice

to pick one of three powers

The agent of stealth,

represented by the crescent moon,

gives you the power called shadowcloak of nocturnal

that turns you invisible when you sneak

for 120 seconds (duration).

The agent of subterfuge

represented by the half moon

gives you the nightingale subterfuge power

that makes targets in the area of effect

to attack anybody on sight

and finally the agent of strife

represented by the full moon

which gives you the nightingale strife

that draws health from your foes

Next faction in line is Namira's Coven

a group of cannibals who desecrate temples

and graveyards to eat corpses

while worshipping the daedric princess Namira

the lady of desecration. To join them,

all you need to do is to head over to

Markarth and go to the Understone Keep

as soon as you walk in, turn left

and you'll find a priest of Mara

named Brother Verulus, he'll tell you

the hall of the dead is closed

due to some strange activity within.

After you convince him to let you in,

you'll hear a woman's voice claiming you're a cannibal just like her

after listening to her plea,

the adventure to join these cannibals begins.

These maniacs will task you

with bringing Brother Verulus

the guy that was guarding the temple from them

into their own lair which is in Reachcliff

east of Markarth.

so that he can become food for them.

... because they are cannibals... they want to eat him alive.

In the end, the choice always comes down to you

you either kill the rest of namira's coven

and slay every single one of them

or you can side with Brother Verulus

and not eat a person, nor become a cannibal...

The choice is up to you, but know that

after you've killed Brother Verulus there's no turning back

and you'll be able to eat him

just like all the other cannibals and become one of them.

On this next one, we'll be taking 2 factions

at the same time,

because they're both intimately related

The Dawnguard and The Volkihar Clan

To join the Dawnguard, all you need to do is

first to have the dawnguard dlc

and second to go to the dayspring canyon

east of Riften, once you do,

a man named Aegmar

will tag along with you and together you join the Dawnguard.

Then, you'll be tasked with

finding out an old vampire relic.

which turns out to be a vampire woman

named Serana who has been locked into a vault

for a few hundred years

You return her to her father,

the leader of the volkihar clan

and this is where you'll be given the chance to either

become a vampire and join the clan

or stick with the dawnguard and hunt them down.

Now let's take a look at a few facts

from the dawnguard faction

and then we'll follow it up with the volkihar faction.

The dawnguard is a group of vampire hunters which

was dismantled and then reformed

because of the volkihar clan.

which are an imminent vampire threat.

The dawnguard use a unique set of weapons

specifically crafted to kill vampires

like crossbows for example

the dawnguard also have armored trolls to aid them in their fight

against the volkihar, they have

smith and archery trainers inside their castle.

They also have their own area

with workbench, the smelter, the grindstone

and a forge

what's more, they also provide you with 2 huskies.

The volkihar clan on the other hand,

is the way to go for vampires

they will offer you the vampire lord power

which grants you the ability to become a vampire lord

with unique powers and an exclusive talent tree

They also provide you with

blood potions which satisfies your hunger

as a vampire.

They have their own human cattle

from which you can feed off of as a vampire.

Unlike the dawnguard, the volkihar also seem to have

a lot more ingredients.

Alchemy ingredients to be more precise, as well as

some other books, but

you can acquire those in a lot of different ways

throughout skyrim

so this is not a big plus...

However, what is a big plus

is the death hounds which the vampires provide you with

they are, obviously

the opposite of the dawnguard huskies.

That's it guys, that's every single joinable faction

in skyrim covered in one single video.

thank you for watching and I hope to see you next time.

How to Write More Every Day - Duration: 4:00.

[Music]

Hey Youtube, it's me, Briana.

I'm the author of the young adult horror novel Blood and Water, the young adult urban fantasy novel Reflections, and the

one-act play Touch—all of which are available for purchase on Amazon.

Most of you know that I like to think of myself as a productive and organized person.

I love setting goals and checking off tasks as I go, and

to me, the idea of a perfect day is a day in which I accomplish everything on my to-do list.

At the same time, I'm always working to improve my

productivity when it comes to writing and getting books out. If you, like me, are looking for ways to get more writing done every day,

keep on watching. First of all, and I've mentioned this before, you should remove distractions from your phone. In a previous video,

I covered how to avoid distractions while writing, so I won't go too much into it,

but basically, if you have any games or time-sucking apps on your phone, you should go ahead and get rid of them

now. Now, I know you may love playing Candy Crush Soda Saga, or you might love—I don't know,

wasting hours and hours watching YouTube videos—

but at the end of the day, those apps are not going to help you get any writing done. And if deleting these time-sucking

distractions is not enough, go ahead and put your phone on Do Not Disturb or airplane mode while you're working so that you won't be

tempted to get on Twitter or check your email for the hundredth time.

Second of all, if you want to write every day, use any and all spare time that you can. A lot of people are under

the impression that you can't be a real writer unless you can dedicate long chunks of writing to marathon sessions.

For example, if you can't write for an hour or two a day, a lot of people will say, "Don't write at all,

what's the use?" This is not how books get done. For those people who attend school full-time, have a full-time job, or just have a

full-time life, marathon writing sessions are just not practical. Instead,

what I recommend is chunking your writing sessions into bite-sized pieces and spreading them out throughout the day.

For example, let's say you go to the dentist, and you arrive 20 minutes before your appointment.

Now, you could spend that 20 minutes paging through the latest edition of Vogue,

or you could whip out your phone or a

notebook and actually spend a few minutes working on your novel. If you get to work before it's time to clock in, work on your

novel. Lunch break ended early? You guessed it—work on your novel.

There are so many little periods of time throughout the day that we often don't notice or take advantage of to their full potential. If you

want to write a little bit every day, you need to make the most of these little moments

and steal time where you can. Last but certainly not least, if you want to write every day,

you need to set the bar low—I'm talking

ridiculously low. A common mentality in the writing community is that you have to write at least

1,000 to 2,000 words a day if you want to get a novel finished, and that's simply not true.

While it is good to have a high word count

If you're planning to a write first draft say, in a month, like for NaNoWriMo in November,

there's really no other reason to set the word count

so high. Unless you're writing to a deadline, which only typically applies to traditionally published authors,

there is no reason to set yourself up for failure like that.

If you're struggling to sit down and just get the writing done, what I recommend is to set the bar very low

say, way under a thousand words. I would recommend starting with 10

if you're really, really struggling. Even on my worst days I can manage a sentence.

Ideally, this would mean that over time you, will build endurance and increase your daily word count, but for now

let's just keep it simple,

shall we? Remember, your goal is to make a habit of writing,

not to burn yourself out trying to write a book as fast as you can.

Plus, if you try to write a book as fast as you can, it WILL be shitty,

I promise you. One final one note before I go and that is this: If you don't write every day, you are not a failure.

That's right. You can still be a writer and not write every day.

Hell, I don't even write every day. I sure try to, but some days writing just can't be a priority, and that's okay. If you do any

writing guess what? You're a writer. That's all the time I have for today.

don't forget to give it a thumbs-up and hit that subscribe button

Thanks again for watching, and I'll see you all next week. Bye!

Human or Bot? How Criminals Defeat CAPTCHAs - Duration: 6:51.

hi I'm Dan woods from shape security today I'm going to explain and actually

demonstrate why capture should never be used to protect web and mobile

applications from unwanted automation there are a couple things a CAPTCHA does

well it increases user friction and it decreases conversion rates what it

doesn't do is stop bots regardless of what form of capture you're using

whether it's the old traditional CAPTCHA of the squiggly letters or if it's the

reCAPTCHA or if it's the I'm not a robot no capture recap show and all the

subsequent challenges it presents your customers

there's even now something called fun CAPTCHA where you're expected to turn a

circle until the ape is right-side up that isn't fun

none of these CAPTCHAs are fun this is user friction this is customer friction

and if you're anything like me every time you encounter one you become

annoyed they don't work either and here's why third party CAPTCHA services

these are some powered by optical character recognition other powered by

humans all day long just solve CAPTCHAs and the people who are trying to launch

automation against your site I'm gonna go into detail on how one of these works

2CAPTCHA let's say for example you had a bad actor trying to launch automation

against your site and you presented that bad actor with a traditional CAPTCHA

what that bad actor will do is use the API or the application program interface

into 2CAPTCHA to send that CAPTCHA problem to 2CAPTCHA what to capture

will do was then distribute it to its humans and each of those humans will

attempt to solve that CAPTCHA but take the most popular answer in this case the

word overlooks send it back to the bot and then the bot submits it has a

correctly solved CAPTCHA and tricks the organ server and believing that he's

human let's say for example you use the I'm not a robot check box instead this

time the API works a little differently this time the bad actor will ask to

2CAPTCHA to have somebody visit your site and actually check the check box

once they check the checkbox they receive a token now the to CAPTCHA is

just gonna send that token back to the bad actor and at this point the bad

actor doesn't even need to check the box that I'm not a robot all the attacker

needs to do is submit the token to your site and your site will believe it's a

human and all of this by the way can be done right from one IP address through

an open proxy so let's take a look at Google's own online demo of the no

CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA if you look under the covers or under the hood you see there's

a text area ID called g-reCAPTCHA response and it's display attribute is

set to none if you look right here where that red arrow is in the lower left-hand

corner there's no text box there but if you change the display attribute to

inline or delete it altogether a text box appears near the red arrow now if

you click the I'm not a robot check box there's an API call out to Google it

determines whether or not you're human if it's says you're human a token is

provided and that token is placed inside that now visible text box now when you

click Submit you get verification success hurray

so a bad actor doesn't actually need to check the check box all the bad actor

needs is a valid token to place into that text box all right so I'm going to

do an actual demonstration the target site that we're going to hit here is

Google's online demonstration of the no CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA this is going to be

the API call that I use to submit the the request to 2CAPTCHA and then

here's going to be the API call that I use to get the token from 2CAPTCHA and

the first API calls into create an ID and I'll use that ID to replace those

X's you see at the bottom of the screen and red all right let's start the demo

okay here's a text file with the API calls that I'm going to be using the

first one is going to submit the tasking to two CAPTCHA the second one is going

to get the token from two CAPTCHA after one of their humans solved it and the X

is on the far right there are going to be replaced by the ID

that I get from the first API call so let's copy and paste this first API call

into a browser hit return and you see we got our ID that we're looking for we'll

copy and paste that back into the text file replacing those X's with the ID now

we'll select this entire string here and put it back into the address bar of the

browser and you see that we get a response CAPTCHA not ready and we should

expect that because we just provided the tasking and that's going to take a few

seconds for them to solve the CAPTCHA so while we're waiting let's go to the I'm

not a robot demo page by Google we'll go in to inspect mode and now we have to

search for the text area g-reCAPTCHA response once we find that we have to

change the display attribute by going into edit as HTML and here we'll change

that word none we'll change it to inline and as soon as we press outside the

source the text file or the text box appears down near the submit button

that's where we're going to place the token once we get it back from

2CAPTCHA alright let's go back over to the other web page and hit a refresh

okay now we've got our token I'm gonna select it all and copy and paste it into

that text box and now I don't have to click the I'm not a robot checkbox all I

do is click verification success Hooray! so that's how easy it is to defeat the

I'm not a robot checkbox so I know I did all that manually but it's not hard to

imagine how a bad actor can use tools like Python and Selenium and Phantom js

to build an entire automation framework around it and launch a large-scale

attack coming from thousands or even millions of IP addresses so the net is

captures don't work they simply introduce friction and they really

negatively impact your your bottom line decrease conversion rates and frustrate

your customers so if you really want to to prevent unwanted automation without

negatively impacting your customer experience then please contact us at
