Youtube daily Or Sep 27 2018

hey guys so I thought I'd do something a little different for this vlog and just

chat with you while showing you some scenes from my life from this week okay

so after my Spanish class I met Jesse and Harper at this little tortas

shop that also sells coffee and I got the best sandwich it had arrachera

steak and a ton of a cheese and it was so delicious

Here I am being absolutely hysterical with joy at how good this sandwich is the

steak was so tender you guys I was really surprised by how amazing it was

Jesse wants to go back just so he can get that sandwich for himself hey guys

Jesse and I are sitting on the couch well, Jesse's in the kitchen right now

but we're going to sit on the couch and watch Coco and I asked him to get me a

candy bar because I had a real like chocolate craving so we went and got...

and yes it's true we do eat a lot more candy here in Mexico than

we did in the States hopefully that will taper off after we

you know make our way through all of the candy that we've never tried before but

it might take us a while to get there anyway this is a little collection of

shops in Centro that I've walked past a dozen times but never gone into and this

day Harper encouraged us to go and do I think because she saw the Mojingangas

is that how you pronounce that guys? Mojingangas anyway there were just a

bunch of little vendors and shops selling all kinds of beautiful wonderful

things Frida thumbs up if you love Frida as much as I do you can pretty

much find anything beautiful in these shops, I didn't check prices, it's probably

pricey due to how pretty everything was but if you want some jewelry or a

souvenir or some skincare it seems like a nice place everything in there was so

beautiful guys I really want to have one of everything in these stores so if you

visited Mexico let me know what was the best souvenir you brought home with you

and where did you get it I just love the aesthetic I love Mexican art Mexican

folk art

oh skeletons more skeletons skeletons everyday skeletons

everywhere Harper is a big fan I love it too we are getting really excited for

dia de Muertos oh and of course you know that the land of the dead in Coco was

styled after Guanajuato city so yay yeah my kid has a leash yep okay

because whatever you judge other parents for doing when you are not a parent will

come back and bite you including leashes and Here I am in a

taxi going to Marfil because I need a haircut

I need a haircut so desperately it's been forever since I got a haircut and I

asked a friend where the best place to go in Guanajuato

and she said Passion Estetica y spa in Marfil and so that is where I went

turns out my friend Laurie also gets her hair cut there so we made a date to get

haircuts and go out to dinner which was just fabulous we did have a little bit

of a misunderstanding and so I ended up getting some kind of treatment of my

hair and face that I don't... well here just look ah yes it's terrifying I know this

it's just quite interesting I look like my head is ready for the

alien invasion with this little foil thing here and maybe my face is ready

for surgery I don't know at some point another lady came and switched out my

mask and put things on my eyes so then I could not see yeah just here I'm trying

to be as relaxed as I can be and Here I am getting my hair cut hi guys what's up

I got so much hair cut off it felt so much lighter already I love this place

you guys the lady who cut my hair was top notch I really love the haircut that

she gave me and the fact that I walked out of there with exactly what I wanted

even though I cannot fully describe what I want in Spanish just showed her some

pictures and she nailed it so after our haircuts and my fancy hair and face

treatment we went to Centro to go to dinner and we had such a wonderful time

walking around, the city is really magical after dark the city is magical

all the time you guys know how in love I am with Guanajuato and how

beautiful it is but after dark it just has this extra

little something and I was super happy because I never get to do this I have

not done something like this probably since Harper was born I have a

three-year-old around about 7:30 at night I'm just exhausted and ready to

pass out gone are the days of well you know having energy or an interesting

life anybody relate to that so anyway a girls' night out was just what I needed

and Laurie and I were chatting about Guanajuato and American tourists so I

thought I'd leave some of the audio in and just let you listen in and eavesdrop

with us yes look at this I've never been to like

this part of town at night, never is very fun I love it I don't get why

this place isn't bigger with American tourists like what nobody knows about

this place why is that

they're just at the beach? I don't know. Yeah, I guess so. And Americans are afraid

afraid of Mexico yes yeah it is so true because when we do and when I say we

like Americans when we do go to Mexico we go to the all-inclusives and we don't

go anywhere else and yeah that's such a shame

I literally had never heard one Guanajuato until we started researching

for this move like that's crazy how do you not and I

don't feel like I was particularly you know one of those American like couldn't

point to Brazil on a map or something just no

the restaurant we went to is called Los Campos it's tucked into this little alley

and when you go in you feel like you're discovering this secret hideaway all the

light inside is so warm and inviting in the places small and intimate and it was

just so cool to be there definitely not a place you take your three-year-old so

Laurie and I were super excited to be there okay drink menu and regular menu

for drinks Laurie got the margarita Rocio which in

addition to tequila has liquor de Chile poblano liqueur de naranja which is

orange liqueur and jalapeno and the waiter warned her it'd be spicy and she was

just like yeah bring it I love Laurie she's so cool dinner guys the food was

so good I know you can't see it because everything was super dark however I got

the chuleta de cerdo al pastor which is this giant caveman

style pork chop with the bone and everything on top of grilled pineapple

and onions and came with tortillas and oh is so good by far the best pork chop

I've had in my entire life we had dessert we had a cajeta tart with

lavender ice cream and felt so fancy it was just such a lovely time it was

just so good to have a girls' night so good to chat with Laurie and I have this

delicious food and feel so fancy even though I was

seriously underdressed guys thanks so much for hanging out with

me I hope you are well I love you all so much thank you for all your lovely

comments let me know how you're doing and don't forget to subscribe if you

haven't already hit the bell if you want to get notified when the next video is

PrepTalk: L. Vance Taylor "We Succeed or Fail Together" - Duration: 18:26.

[PrepTalks Theme Playing]

Access and functional needs is something I think maybe we're familiar

with, but I just want to take a second and define it. So access and functional needs

really refers to individuals who have physical, developmental, or intellectual

disabilities; people with chronic illnesses or injuries; people who are

transportation disadvantaged; low-income; children; older adults; people who English

is not the primary language; and women in late stages of pregnancy. So in a nation

with 325 million people, the number of folks with access and functional needs

makes up a very large percentage of our population. And yet historically we

haven't done a very good job as a nation of integrating and addressing their

needs, through our emergency management process. And all you have to do is look

at Hurricane Katrina, where we saw that of everyone who died 70 percent had

access and functional needs. What does that say about the way that we've

traditionally planned, prepared, respond, and recover with the access and

functional needs perspective in mind? And it's not just something we see in

large-scale disasters. No two disasters are ever the same, they vary in a million

different ways. But the one commonality they have, is they every time,

disproportionally impact and affect people with access and functional needs. And so

recognizing this California did what California does, lean forward. And in a

bold move the Governor in 2008, created the Office of Access and Functional

Needs and placed it within his Office of Emergency Services. And my role as

Chief is to ensure that the needs of people with access and functional needs are

identified, and that once they are identified they get integrated, through every step of the

emergency management process. But what exactly does that look like?

Let me give an example. A month after I was sworn in fires exploded in Lake

County, which is in Northern California, so I'm activated, I'm deployed. And usually

it's a beautiful area, but not on that day. On that day there was scorched

landscapes, downed trees, I remember the smoke was billowing in

through the vents on the van. It was burning my lungs and it was eerie

because, the whole way had been bright but once we got into the burn areas the

ash hung in the air so thick it literally darkened out the Sun. When I

pulled up to the shelter and the struggle was real. Cars, trucks were

parked in every form and fashion you can imagine. Every way but the right way.

Donations were dropped off in front of the curb cuts making it impossible for

me to access for shelter from the van. Right on from the street to the shelter. So I

had to get creative I pulled the car up to the curb, that's how I got in. And once

I entered I realized that in the rush to set it up, to open the shelter to the

community, the steps needed to ensure it could be accessed by everyone, including

people with access and functional needs, had been skipped, neglected, or overlooked.

The bathrooms were incredibly challenging to get in and out of; the

general population area was rough or the cots were too close together; the aisles

were narrow, cluttered, and in some cases completely impassable. But throughout the

shelter I kept hearing everywhere I went, "Oh check out the showers check out the

showers!" and the shelter manager said, "We've got built-in accessible showers

it's the crown jewel of our shelter." We get to the end he shows me pièce de résistance

and says, "The showers are right through this doorway."

Now the doorway in question is a set of double doors, it's divided down the

middle with an iron bar making each individual passageway too narrow for my

chair to fit. So I asked, "Well is there another way to get in?" And he says, "No it's

one way in one way out." And I said, "Then I think we have a problem." And he says just

in complete shock, "What do you mean you can't fit through, that's the only way to

get there!" And I could tell he hadn't really worked with people who have

disabilities because he says, "Well what if I get behind you and I push really hard?" And I

was like, "Then you're gonna break my chair!"

So he stopped for a minute and he is thinking and I could see the wheels turning and it's

like ding the light goes off and he says, "But if you can't make it through,

neither can anyone else in a wheelchair." And I said, "Now you're getting it."

so I called the State Operations Center I said, "Hey we need some portable

accessible shower units down at the shelter. How many do we have immediate

access to?" And they said, "Five." Now remember I'm a month on the job, I know

that California's got the fifth largest economy in the world, we have over 40

million people in the state, so I assumed that meant 500. And I was like,

"Fantastic!" Because I was going to be the Oprah Winfrey of showers, right? I was

like, "You get a shower, and you get a shower, we all get showers!"

And they're like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa we mean like single digits man 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and they're all

being used at a concert in Southern California." Which was total junk, because

nobody showers at Burning Man! So we had no other option, we commandeer the

showers. As a side note I just want to say this, if you ever get the opportunity

to commandeer something, do it! It's amazing, but it goes to your head super

quick, I got home I was like, "I commandeer the remote, I commandeer the salt shaker!"

My kids got sick of it really quick. Well by the time we identify the resources,

when we commandeer them, and when we get them procured, and deployed, and set up

four days had passed. Which for government is break neck speed, but for the people

with access and functional needs who needed those showers four days was an

eternity. Now after the ordeal I was thanking some of my colleagues and one

in particular, Tim Britt, great emergency manager, I said,

"Tim, thank you so much for your Herculean effort to help us get this done." And Tim

said, "Hey no problem, just doing my job!" I love that he didn't see it as something extra

or special, but I also didn't get the sense he truly appreciated the enormity

of what we've done. I said, "Tim, I want you to visualize with me, let me tell you

what I saw that day. I went into that shelter and I saw people on the worst

day of their lives. I saw people who were homeless for the first time. Who had lost

everything. It was hot, and muggy, and we were all sweaty. And ash sticks to sweat and

forms a grime that covers your body. And then I saw the look in their eyes, as I

had to be the one to tell them, that because we hadn't integrated or addressed

their needs that they had no choice but to sit in their filth and watch as their

counterparts went in and out of showers to refresh themselves. So can you imagine

for one minute what it must have been like for those individuals when the

showers finally arrived? How miraculously cleansing it must have

been to go in and turn on the water not that cool refreshing droplets cover

your body and make you new again, to wash away the grime. People told me I felt

like me again. I felt like I could rebuild. I've had the hope it was gonna

be okay." So I said, "No Tim you weren't just doing your job

you were integrating access and functional needs and in doing so you

changed lives." And that experience changed me and it changed my colleagues

and it changed how our agency approaches whole community planning. And that

reverberate throughout the state. Which is why I went 3 years later, just last

month in fact, I deployed again to Lake County, again, for fires again, this time

in response to the Mendocino complex fire. Which is the largest wildfire in

California state history. And when I pulled up to the shelter I saw just how

far we've come. Interpreters have been integrated

throughout the communication process. Our disability stakeholders were there, they

knew what was going on and where to go for safety. There was accessible parking,

signage was everywhere, specialized dietary considerations had been

addressed, partners from the Independent Living Center had come and teamed up

with our functional assessment service teams and gone cot by cot talking

person to person until they had met with every individual at every shelter to

find out at that unmet needs. I'm very happy report yes, we had portable

accessible shower units. And they were set up and ready to go because, we had

ordered them in advance of the emergency declaration.

California sets the standard for whole community planning and integration.

Thought it'd be fair it's a never ending disaster cycle, so we had a lot of

practice. But in reality it's a commitment. It starts at the governor's

office, it works its way through every state agency, and across every government

jurisdiction. It's in the hearts of our whole community partners, our emergency

managers, and our first responders. Which is why together we adopt, embrace, and

strive to exemplify our motto, "Nothing about us without us." And yet, and yet we

realize that our approach to how we plan, prepare, respond, and recover with the

access and functional needs perspective in mind, must continue to evolve. Because

we have more fires every single year, and more disasters of every kind, and it's

not just an increase in number it's an increase in severity. In other words the

threats are ever-changing, the risks are growing, and the needs have never been

greater. And so it is that we must embark on a new path because we cannot get

enough bodies to address this. The number of emergency managers isn't going up

that fast, so we have to look for new solutions.

Something I call integration 2.0. Let me tell you about that, a hundred miles from OES

headquarters is a place called Silicon Valley. And it's there on a

daily basis they literally create the future. And it's there within that cradle

of innovation that the technical capabilities of AI and machine learning

must be repurposed in order to protect the whole community from the dangers of

tomorrow, today. I call for an end to the days when we use subjective techniques

and human guesswork to predict fire behavior, where we grapple with outdated

notification systems, where we allow people that die in their homes simply

because they lack the physical ability to run for safety. I propose a digital

transformation where we use AI to save people, not just to get them to click on

advertising clickbait so they spend their money. And I call on Silicon

Valley's AI engineers to use their 20% time to bring us the technology we need

to save people with access and functional needs. I ask America's tech

providers, work with us, join us to reframe, and rethink, and reform emergency

warning an alert. Use AI to create detection tools that enable us to find

people in need and the accessible resources to evacuate them safely, to

develop new design, prediction, and planning tools so we can ease human

suffering. Now I know particularly as of late there's been a lot of discussion

about the ethical uses of AI and we've seen right here in this town, major

companies struggle to explain or justify their seemingly trivial or even creepy

uses of AI like computational manipulation. But we can't get wrapped

around the digital axle we must think bigger.

We must embark on a national crusade to ensure that people with access and

functional needs stop dying in preventable situations during fires, and

floods, and earthquakes. There can be no greater use of AI than saving human life.

And within that context we move away from artificial intelligence and begin

down the road of life-saving intelligence, where the function

transcends the technology. Where we use machines and AI to exponentially increase

the number of lives emergency managers and first responders could save in every

disaster. I know it's a bold approach, a manifesto of will, but I'm from

California and that's just what we do. Which is why I asked for Silicon Valley's

AI leaders to meet with my office in the next few months for a technical

exchange meeting. Look, people with access and functional needs expect more out of

government. And frankly they deserve more. And what does it say about us if we're

unwilling to use the technology and innovation available at our fingertips

to save the lives of the constituencies we serve.

We can do this. We must do this.

And I believe we will do this and we'll do it in partnership.

Because when it comes to people with access and functional needs, when it

comes to saving those lives,

we will succeed or we will fail, but we'll do it together.

Thank you.

[Applause]

Who Is Better: Mustafi or Holding? - Duration: 3:21.

Shkodran Mustafi is currently Unai Emery's first choice centre back but is he better than Rob Holding? Find out in our analysis

Despite coming in on a transfer fee of about £30million from Valencia, Shkodran Mustafi is yet to impress at Arsenal

He seemed like an ideal defensive signing but the German international has found life very difficult at the Emirates especially this season

The 26-year-old defender is in his 3rd season at Arsenal but he has been heavily criticized this year

Rob Holding came at Arsenal in the same transfer window from Championship side Bolton Wanderers at a fee of £2million

Meaning the two have spent the same amount of time at the club. Rob was seen as a player the gunners would use in their future back four

Under Arsene Wenger, Holding featured mostly in Cup competitions along the likes of Calum Chambers

Rob at 23 has been challenged to cement his place in the Starting 11 as Unai Emery seeks to find the perfect defensive partnership

Mustafi has more experience in the top flight football given that he had a stint with Everton and his time with Valencia

On the other hand, Holding has very little experience although its worth stating that he had an excellent season with Bolton before joining the gunners

It would be unfair to compare the two using the game time of the current season because Rob Holding hasn't made many appearances

Even though Mustafi came under heavy criticism for his shambolic defending, Arsene was adamant to snub the German defender and it seems Unai Emery also trusts him because Mustafi has made a number of errors this season but he isn't dropping him

Statistically, Shokdran Mustafi has been better than Rob Holding but we haven't fully seen what the young Englishman can do because he doesn't get enough play time and the Arsenal fans hope that Unai Emery tries pairing the youngster with Sokratis Papastathopoulos

Mustafi is yet to justify his price tag but Unai Emery has started getting the best of him

Rob Holding came on during the Everton game and looked solid at the back and also had a fantastic game against Brentford last night

For now, Mustafi seems to be the better option in the absence of Laurent Koscielny but it's clear that Rob Holding can also be a great centre back if offered enough playing time

Did Woman Meet Her Dream Man or Was It a Drunk Make out in a Club? - Duration: 1:54.

- Brittany says she met the love of her life

one night in the club.

The problem is she never got his last name or number.

(audience laughs)

Her friend, Kara, says Brittany is obsessed

with finding this mystery man.

Take a look.

- I met this incredible guy named Mark

whose from Sydney, Australia.

- She thinks that it was love at first sight.

- He and I had this connection that I just can't shake off,

even after six months.

- It was one night.

- This is too real to pass up.

- He didn't even give you his number.

He probably met another girl right afterwards.

(dramatic beat)

It was Atlantic City.

(machine chimes)

(club music)

- About six months ago, we were at the bar.

I was ordering drinks and I just turned to my left

and it was like an instant connection.

- It was a drunk make-out session and that was it.

- If you would have seen us that night,

you would have probably thought

we were boyfriend, girlfriend for years.

- This is crazy.

- Mark and I's connection unfortunately only lasted

between two to three hours.

- Her obsessiveness is out of control.

- When looking for Mark,

I only had limited information on him.

- [Kara] Day and night, Brittany has made this a priority

over everything.

- There were times I would be on social media

scrolling down all these Marks for like two hours.

- Mark, Mark, Mark.

- And I don't know if it's spelled with a c or a k.

I have no idea.

- [Kara] She spent money on a private investigator.

- When hiring this private investigator in Sydney,

I was definitely scammed.

- I was upset because I did loan her $375,

which was supposed to go towards her security deposit

to move into her new apartment.

- If it was $1000 or $5, I just had to know.

- Are you an idiot?

- If I ever saw Mark again, I'd probably cry

of pure, like, happiness.

- Brittany, I really don't want our friendship to end

over something so stupid.

- How do I get Kara to be on my side

and try to find the happiness that I want to have with Mark?

- Mark is never going to be a part of her life.

How To Install 4 or 3 Wire Cord an Electric Dryer - Duration: 10:20.

hello friends welcome to the channel once more, this time I want to share

how to install a 4 or 3 connector, when we buy our dryer

clothes this is how the delivery never the

delivered with the connector, which is why they do not deliver it

with the connector is because many houses old ones have the 3 connector

and the new houses have 4 connector that's why it gives you the option that you

buy the cable, let's start with remove the lid

this is where we are going to install our cables

whether it's 3 or 4 I'm going to start for explaining them

this is a connector that has been the positive, if you can see it is

as gold color or gold and the middle one is silver

which means that these carry the two of the sides and the

of the center is neutral

when we just received our dryer is how it comes

to install us our connector of 4 what we are going to do, let's remove

our our white wire from our ground screw

our four-prong connector bring one black red green and white these

two black and red are common and

neutral white and green earth

we are going to introduce it through this hole

and we will ensure it

ready this prevents that with the time of so much that our cable is moving

can be cut and cause an accident

let's start

to put the earth

to the chassis of the machine

once our land is installed let's continue with our cable

white that is neutral and we're going to unite with the one who was here before

we are going to connect it together,

We are going to install it in the center in the color silver

we only have black and red these are going to go anywhere we

we can also guide with the color of up on this side is the red and

this side is black but not matter they can go but let's continue

our color and we're going to install red with red and

black with black

same the black on this other side

the power cables go in the golden color connection

ready until here we have our Connection

of four cables already finished just continue to put our

front

and ready

here we would have our connector 4 for our dryer

Now I'm going to show you how we would do it for install

our three connector cable

we remove our cover

let's remove our cables too let's remove the earth

and on our green wire

and these three also

ready, we would just withdraw our cable

and we would proceed to install our 3 plug

the plug 3

only brings 3 cables this has been neutral

positive and positive this we are going to

go through the hole well how is this going to the

center and one on each side does not matter aside from this they have no color

and even if they did not would matter because those on the banks

they have a current of 120 volts we will install it in the center

silver colour

the other two what we will install one of each side that come

being in the golden color

our connection is ready our cable would only follow

secure our cable

and ready

this cable originally

came here, this is going to stay like this How is it going

this cable comes together with this

this would be kept right there when it's a connection

of 3 this cable we do not have to move it but if you remember, I moved it because it is

first the connection to 4 and this is the connection to 3

originally this has to be there we just have to connect these three

On many occasions this comes with a sheet to the chassis that is being

body of the dryer

also many times when it is connection to 4 we have to remove it

which is the same action as we did with this cable we removed it and what

we connect here and we put his land to the chassis of

our dryer

And finally, it would be to put the cover

and here we would have our connection of 3 or 4 does not matter anymore

I showed them the two ways of doing it I hope you help this and remember to leave

Are You Ready to Be a Trustee or Personal Representative - Duration: 5:50.

Are you ready to be a trustee or a personal representative?

I'm attorney Reed Bloodworth, the managing partner of Bloodworth Law in Orlando.

I handle trust and probate disputes throughout Florida.

I represent trustees, personal representatives, and I also handle disputes for beneficiaries.

Today I'll explain what you'll be asked do so you'll know what's expected and

can try to avoid common legal problems and lawsuits.

The role of a trustee or personal representative can be confusing.

The goal is to not let dates and details fall through the cracks.

You don't want a beneficiary accusing you of breach of fiduciary duty, or accounting

action mishaps.

First, Let's explain what a trust is.

A trust is a legal arrangement created to hold property and assets for another party

or parties who are called beneficiaries.

Beneficiaries are the individuals or entities specifically named in the trust document to

receive the trust's property and assets.

Your job as a trustee is to be a corporate or individual manager of the trust.

The trust is created for beneficiaries named by the trust's creator, and often has the

benefit of lowering or avoiding taxes upon the trust creator's death.

According to the Florida Statutes, a trustee has the duty to administer the trust in good

faith, in accordance with its terms and for the purposes and the interests of the beneficiaries,

and in accordance with the laws of Florida:

Here are the basic rules and roles for a trustee:

1.

You have to administer the trust solely in the interest of the beneficiaries

2.

You have to exercise a reasonable care, skill, and caution in administering the trust

3.

You have to only incur expenses that are reasonable in relation to the trust property, the purposes

of the trust, and the skills of the trustee 4.

You must take reasonable steps to take control and protect the trust property

5.

You must keep accurate records which include: a.

Reporting to the beneficiaries as the trust requires and required by Florida Statutes,

and b.

Potentially preparing and filing tax returns 6.

You can't mix trust assets with the assets of the trust

7.

Trust assets must be invested in a way that results in reasonable growth and minimal risk;

8.

You must keep separate checking accounts and investment accounts; and

9.

You can't use the trust assets for your own benefit

If you are an individual trustee, it is highly advisable to hire an attorney, an accountant,

or financial advisor to help you manage the trust appropriately.

If any disputes or potential disputes arise, you should consult with a trust litigation

attorney immediately.

The other position you may be asked to handle is that of a personal representative in a

probate estate.

A probate estate arises when someone dies in Florida and either left a will to address

how they wanted their possessions to be divided among beneficiaries, or they died without

a will and the probate estate is disbursed pursuant to Florida's intestacy statute.

A probate estate consists of anything the person owned at the time of their death, including

real estate, vehicles, heirlooms, savings accounts, investments, any other assets.

As a personal representative you must:

• Serve Notice of Administration on the decedent's surviving spouse, beneficiaries,

a trustee, if that's applicable, and the beneficiaries of the trust, again if that

is applicable • You must take possession of all of the

estate's assets • Furnish an inventory of the estate's

assets to the beneficiaries • You must provide an accounting

• Determine creditors and put them on notice of the probate estate

• You must pay the appropriate debts and expenses of the estate

• You must prepare the estate tax return and pay any owed estate taxes

• And then, distribute the assets of the estate pursuant to the terms of the will,

or if there is no will, pursuant to Florida Statutes; and then,

• Close the estate

As is the case with a trustee, a personal representative is a fiduciary and shall observe

the same standard of care applicable to a trustee.

So, as you've learned here today, there are a lot of legal and financial responsibilities

associated with the positions of acting as a trustee or personal representative.

Be sure that you're prepared for these roles.

One of the ways that you can ensure you are executing your duties properly is to work

with a trust or probate attorney with whom you're comfortable.

Should you fail to perform these duties, beneficiaries can take legal action against you.

Sometimes, when several generations, stepfamilies, siblings, or friends are involved in a trust

or a probate estate, you may feel a lot of pressure and it can be made more difficult

by jealous or disappointed beneficiaries.

Don't figure these things out or answer these legal questions on your own.

Seek the representation of an attorney.

If you are experiencing difficulties in fulfilling your duties as a trustee or personal representative,

or are facing potential lawsuits related to your role as a trustee or personal representative,

give me a call.

Let's talk about how Bloodworth Law can help.

What Comes First, Story or Characters? (Writer Wednesday) - Duration: 4:20.

Hello Writer, and welcome back to my life.

It's Writer Wednesday, the day I give you my best tips and advice on the art and the

business of writing, and tell you how I do what I do as an indie author.

Today's question comes to us from patron Zord who asks: what comes first, story or

characters?

Thanks for the question, Zord.

So as per usual with Writer Wednesday, I'm going to answer this question primarily framing

it around how I personally work.

But I feel the need, especially on this topic, to highlight the fact that different authors

work in different ways on this.

My very short answer is that I start with characters, first and always, but plenty of

the best authors in the game start with story, and that's okay.

Stephen King is rarely accused of having bland or two-dimensional characters, yet he often

talks about how he gets the idea for the story first.

Like his novel It began when he imagined what if there were still trolls under bridges in

modern times.

And then it turned into sewers, and from a troll into a clown...spider...alien?

Thing?

I haven't read or watched It, I don't do horror.

But I'm assuming YOU know what I'm talking about.

Dan Brown, author of The DaVinci Code, is often commented upon as having an amazing

plot that drags the reader from page to page,

but having characters who are more there to narrate what's going on than anything else.

That doesn't make his books BAD.

He's sold enough copies to prove it's something people want, and some people will

list them as their FAVORITE books.

So you CAN start with an incredible idea for a plot and build intruging, deep and meaningful

characters into that plot, people who go on the sort of journey your incredible plot can

take them on.

However, I start with characters, first and always.

If you remember my videos explaining my writing process, you know that I incorporate the book

Save the Cat into my story construction.

And its author, Blake Snyder, says that the germ of your story idea starts by defining

your main character.

The chapter about this is titled, "It's about a guy who…" meaning your story starts

with something like, "It's about a guy who wants to go to a wizard school, but his

family is the mafia."

And yeah, he does say specifically, "It's about a GUY who."

Snyder had good writing advice, but could maybe have been a little more inclusive.

But we can say, "It's about a PERSON who" instead, and get the same result.

My stories are always about a person who starts in one situation and ends up in another situation.

The Nightblade Epic is about a girl who wants to be Robin Hood but doesn't realize that

real-life organized criminals aren't usually good people.

As alluded to before, the Academy Journals are about a boy who wants to go to wizard

school, but his family is the mafia.

The Tales of the Wanderer are about a woman who wants to avenge someone she loves, but

who has to learn to accept the fact that she sometimes endangers even MORE people by trying

to do so.

So as I mentioned before, you can think up an amazing plot and then create a character

who will NECESSARILY go on a personal emotional journey through that plot.

But the flipside of that, and what I always do, is to dream up the character, and then

determine what sort of plot will take that character on a personal emotional journey.

So if Loren in the Nightblade Epic has a personal conviction that she will never kill anyone,

I have to put her in increasingly tense situations where killing someone WOULD solve her problems,

and her refusal to do so creates MORE problems.

If Ebon in the Academy Journals wants to shed his family's dark and violent past, I have

to put him in increasingly dangerous situations where he has to rely on his family's underworld

connections more and more.

And if Mag in the Tales of the Wanderer wants to protect those she loves, I have to put

her in situations where doing the RIGHT thing means ENDANGERING more people, and make her

struggle through that.

Whether you start with plot or with characters will often depend on what you yourself like,

and what you like to do.

And a truly good book usually won't SKIMP on either plot or character.

One will just be more emphasized than the other.

Stephen King or Lee Childs may start with a plot, but they then WORK to make their characters

interesting and dynamic and satisfying to read.

I PERSONALLY feel like King does this better than Childs.

I love the Jack Reacher books, but not because of the characters.

But the point is that they both DO it.

And even if you start with your characters and build the plot AROUND them, you still

have to MAKE that plot dynamic, interesting, and gripping, or your reader will get bored.

You still need your act structure.

You still need to pay attention to pacing.

You still need a compelling hook, a good progression, good mastery of tension, and a satisfying

payoff.

It's always a seesaw.

You'll usually lean more heavily in one direction or the other.

Just make sure you're taking both halves into consideration when you're constructing

the whole.

That's all I've got for you today, Writers.

Thank you so much to Zord for the question.

I hope you found the answer helpful.

Friends with Benefits Play Truth or Drink (Ryan & Vida) | Truth or Drink | Cut - Duration: 5:11.

- Why would it be bad for us

to be in a committed relationship?

- I don't think it would be bad.

Do you think it would be?

- Uh.

(Vida laughs)

Hello.

- Hello.

My name is Vida.

- I'm Ryan.

- We're friends with benefits!

- Friends with bennies.

- You first.

(both laugh)

- What should we call our relationship?

- Friends with bennies.

It's like we're really great friends,

we're like best friends.

There was a time where I wanted to be in a relationship

with Ryan, but it just didn't work out that way,

so I tried to move on.

But here we are!

Can we take a shot?

I feel really nervous. (laughs)

(glasses clink)

(glasses thud)

Okay.

Would you have a three-way with me?

- Yeah, absolutely.

I would do that.

Do that again.

- Again.

(both laugh)

A lot of times people think that threesomes

have to go really bad.

You just need good communication, a hotel, and alcohol.

You'll be good.

I'm like a threesome connoisseur.

- Where is the weirdest place we had sex?

- I don't know if I should answer this question. (laughs)

My turn?

- Go, do it.

- What's the kinkiest thing you would like to try with me?

- Oh, I saw this thing, on the internet the other day.

So you're like tied up to this, these ropes.

- Wait, like all?

- Yeah, like your whole body, you're tied up,

and your head is hanging down lowest, and then I twist you,

and then I let go of you so you're spinning around

super fast, and you lower your head down onto my dick.

So it's like I'm getting a blow job

while you're spinning around endlessly.

- I think there would definitely be teeth involved in that.

- Maybe.

- I would just be like frightened. (screams)

- I'm willing to take that chance.

(Vida laughs)

- [Interviewer] Ask when was the last time you

slept with someone other than me.

- When was the last time you slept with someone

other than me?

- Can I drink to this question? (laugh)

- [Interviewer] You don't want to talk about it?

- Nope.

When was the last time you've had sex with someone else?

Was it a recent?

Was I cuter than her?

- No.

- Oh, shit.

(both laugh)

Ouch.

(both laugh)

- Wait, yes.

(Vida laughs)

I got confused with the verbiage.

You're cuter than her.

- Oh, thanks.

- Yeah, that's what I meant.

- You're just saying that.

(both laugh)

- Why would it be bad for us

to be in a committed relationship?

- I don't think it would be bad.

Do you think it would be?

- No, I don't think it would be bad.

I mean, there's upsides and downsides to everything, though.

- Um, I feel like I should say that recently,

we kinda've been really diggin' each other.

You feel that way?

- Fuck, no.

Yeah, absolutely.

Yeah, absolutely.

Yeah, usually situations like this either end in people

hating each other or dating each other.

- Yeah, very true.

Next question.

Are you afraid of commitment, Ryan?

- Yeah, I think so, yeah.

But I'm also not so afraid of commitment.

I go back and forth on that, you know.

- [Interviewer] Where are we right now?

- Um, going back and forth on it.

(both laugh)

I'd say no, though.

Ima stick with no.

I'm not afraid of commitment.

- I like the solid answer.

- I think actually I'm afraid of commitment.

(Vida laughs)

- Come on, dude.

(Ryan laughs) You just said that 'cause of.

- [Interviewer] Who's tried to turn this into a

more committed relationship?

- Who's tried the most?

Her.

But I've definitely did it, too.

- I know what I want. (laughs)

- Go ahead.

- How would you rate my oral sex skills out of ten?

- Outta ten?

Like, ten for sure.

115. - You're just saying that now.

- I was gonna say a higher number, but it seemed corny.

Do you love me?

- Yes.

- Do you want me to be your boyfriend?

- Would you want me to be your girlfriend?

- Yeah, let's do it.

- Did you just ask me out?

Like are we asking each other out through a Cut video?

(Vida laughs)

- [Interviewer] Is this serious?

Is this real?

- [Both] Yeah.

- Absolutely.

- [Interviewer] You're boyfriend and girlfriend?

- Mm-hmm, for sure.

- We're in a relationship! (laughs)

I guess.

Like, what the fuck.

- I'm so proud of you.

- Me, too, that was really hard. (laughs)

I didn't expect it to happen today.

I mean, I knew it was on the way.

- I love you.

- I love him so much.

Like I knew I loved him when he was my friend,

but I love him extra.

Because he's now my boyfriend.

- Extra.

(applause)

- Thank you.

إما الحجاب أو الفوضى (English Subtitle) - Duration: 16:44.

May Allah's peace, mercy and his greetings be upon you!

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds

and may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon the messenger Muhammad

and upon all his family and companions.

Welcome all!

God the Almighty knew the status of women within the man's heart and how she affects him,

also He the Almighty knew the status of man within the woman's heart and how he affects her.

Therefore, God the Almighty established canons [legislations] that lead to

a psychologically sound and morally healthful community.

And anyone who oppose those canons, they will live a socially destroyed life

whatever luxurious life, advance, science and philosophy he lives [achieves].

The largest rates of family disintegration ever experienced by the human race are found in the West.

The numbers are pretty high and so terrifying.

More than half of the kids in Europe are from outside family order.

As they are a result of intimacies [illegal relationships].

The West, nowadays, witnesses the biggest crisis of killing embryos.

More than 65 million embryos have been killed [aborted] from 1973 to 2015

Why is this?!

Because they're unwanted kids.

As they are are from outside family order [Illegitimate children].

United States and all human rights constitutions are weaker than lust!

They're weaker than protecting embryos.

In United States, there're nearly one million teenage girls kill their infants [embryos] every year.

United Sates cannot criminalize abortion.

Europe can't ban it either.

The cute constitution of Human Rights can't utter a single word about "Killing Embryos".

Because those conventions and constitutions are weaker than their lust.

Those conventions and constitutions are weaker than preventing finery [dazzle] that resulted into all of those vice.

Killing those embryos is the tax the Western people pay nowadays because of sexual freedom.

And the West pay that tax quietly, surreptitiously

and with the satisfaction of the secular constitutions and human rights constitutions..

And no one can oppose this.

Moreover, they officially and legitimately allow killing embryos.

This is a British legislation that allows woman to kill her infant [embryo] if it was unwanted.

The West has become incapable of confrontation.

Those innocent embryos don't have seats in the Congress or electoral votes either,

therefore, they are without any value or importance at all democratically.

That sedition made the West so confused without any ability to move.

Unfortunately, our media don't mention that Western catastrophe at all.

Secularists don't speak about that terrific affliction [scourge] that swept through every house in Europe and United States.

The origin of this affliction and havoc that every western man lives today is finery [flaunt one's finery].

To be more realistic,

as flaunt was the first step towards the Western social devastation.

As it's mentioned in the Hadith,

"How is your circumstance if your wives overwhelmed,

your youth went astray

and abandoned Jihad [Holy fight]?!

I swear to God, there would be sedition whereupon wise man became confused."

Its meaning is correct even though it's a weak [doubtful] Hadith.

That [sedition] disorder resulted in destroying the West socially, morally and ethically.

Neither conventions, constitutions nor massive money in the Western cabinets settle that problem.

The West are confused and wonder, "How can we deal with this issue?!"

On the other hand, A fool secular Arab comes to us and says,

"The West is scientifically advanced, though.

Don't you see the Western inventions?!

Perhaps your jacket was made in the West."

Such an absurd way to handle matters.

Who said that mankind's criterion is the material strength?!

All money, treasure and technology of this world aren't enough for a person who know that he was born to die!

They aren't enough for a person who knows he is commissioned instinctively.

They aren't enough for a person who holds the meanings of Do & Don't inside him.

"Man shall not live on bread alone"

Mankind is a moral and ethical religious life.

This is us - humans.

Mankind may possess some of the materialistic good or technological advance.

However, this - good and advance - mustn't be the purpose of mankind emergence.

Because all the materialistic good don't give us the answer to a single existential question.

Even if you get in the first Higgs, observed all kinds of Quarks in the atom or got the fastest Quantum computer,

you won't know why you are here in this world.

It's alright to gain materialistic knowledge and power.

And make sure to take into account causes to support Islam.

But, also, make sure those causes won't be the purpose of your existence.

The Noble Qur'an always mentions physical [materialistic] progress as a double-ended weapon.

It may be either good, benefit and a way to call people for Islam

or recantation and destruction.

Allah says in The Noble Qur'an: [Chapter 6, Verse 44]

"But when they forgot the warning they had received, We opened to them the gates of all good things,

until, in the midst of their enjoyment of Our gifts, on a sudden, We called them to account,

when lo! they were plunged in despair!"

Allah says in The Noble Qur'an: [Chapter 43, Verse 33]

"And were it not that all men might become of one evil way of life,

We would provide, for everyone that blasphemes against Allah Most Gracious,

silver roofs for their houses and silver stair-ways on which to go up,"

There's no relationship between so advanced in technology and being an example.

All knowledge of the world won't benefit a person who lost his soul.

All technology of the world won't benefit a person who lost the meaning of his humanity.

While that fool secular talks in wonderment about scientific progress in the West,

philosophers in Western countries speaks with sorrow about the loss of humanity meaning.

And funny terms have appeared like the crisis of the contemporary human being, crisis of civilization

the price of progress, the dominance of the materialistic models,

alienation, crime, crisis of meaning,

atrophy of moral sense, dominance of utilitarian power, absence of the center,

the non-normative, the fragmentation of society,

the beginning of the disappearance of human being phenomenon,

nihilism, absurdity,

individual regression and the end of history.

All of those terms only appeared in the countries that secular takes pride in

and looks at them as if they were our intended goal!

Friedrich Nietzsche, the atheist, admits that contradiction the West live today.

Nietzsche says, "We're realists without faith or myth

So simplify your chests.

Alas! They are empty chests.

Chests with no value.

These chests only hold dollars."

Francis Fukuyama, one of the biggest secularism theorist nowadays, confesses that the secularist person has just become a profit-gathering animal.

Fukuyama says, "People have become animals once more - inside the secular states.

Just like before the bloody fight that history began with.

Secular person emerged while the human beings - as we know then - disappeared.

The word "human being" is only fed by value, meaning and religion.

On the other side, all the wealth of the world is not useful in bringing a single moral meaning.

Roger Garaudy says, "The western civilization has dug a grave that's enough for the whole world and the meaning of humanity"

The West treats the woman as a girlfriend not a wife.

So they made most of their women prostitutes.

Unfortunately, in the West, a prostitute is better than a girlfriend.

As prostitutes get money from prostitution.

However, the girlfriend doesn't get anything but

psychological destruction, a broken heart, and sexual diseases.

After that she would be replaced by another girlfriend later.

And if she gets pregnant, she will have to choose

either to suffer to bring up a baby without a father

or abort that embryo.

What is the relationship between the Hijab [veil] and all this?

Is it necessary if the community abandoned Hijab to move towards sexual freedom

then its sequences appear later like family disintegration, society destruction and killing embryos?

This is reality, if you read the history of civilizations.

No one can deny it.

Any attempt to abandon Hijab results in sexual freedom in a later stage.

And the society morally collapses finally.

After that, the people lose the meaning of their existence.

100 years ago, the percentage of children outside of marriage - in Europe - was 4%

It has exceeded 50% today.

While the West observe those terrific data,

there are secularist people in the Islamic countries who fiercely fight Islam.

They fight Hijab fiercely.

What has Hijab done to you?!

I suppose that secularists know that whoever hates an Islamic adjudication, God will make his deed fruitless.

Allah says in The Noble Qur'an: [Chapter 47, Verse 9]

"That is because they hate the Revelation of Allah;

so He has made their deeds fruitless."

It is a problem, indeed.

Those secularists want to make people unaware of finery disasters that have befallen to nations.

Then he turn the issue upside down.

And tells you that Islamic countries suffer from sexual harassment and rape due to sexual repression.

Can you imagine?!

After that he shows you photos of girls who adorn themselves with shorts yet there's nobody to harass them.

On the other side, there's a photo of a Muslim girl who wears Hijab but got harassed.

This is one of big lies nowadays.

Those liar secularists are just clowns.

The highest rates of harassment and rape exist in countries that allow sexual freedom and pornography.

In a survey in 2018, it was revealed that it's in USA, Sweden, Belgium and Austria.

In 2017, the highest rates of harassment and rape exist in countries that allow sexual freedom.

Denmark, Canada, Finland, Austria, USA, New Zealand and South Africa were the leaderboard.

On the other side, the Islamic countries have the least rates of harassment and rape.

Although we always hear the opposite of this in our media.

The prevalence of AIDS in Islamic countries is almost zero.

Unfortunately, this is contrary to the stereotype that secularists do their best to spread it among us.

As if they had never been acquainted with surveys.

Those surveys indicate that the Arab secularists are just a bunch of liars and clowns.

Now it's the time for the famous secular question,

"Is it not possible for men to control their lust?"

"Why can't men control their lust?"

"Why do you want women wear Hijab?!"

Firstly, Hijab is a divinely order.

Secondly, that man who can't control his instinct [lust] doesn't need Hijab at all.

You'd feel the contradiction and absurdity of this question.

Is really the instinct of men strong?! Yes, indeed.

God the Almighty granted men with strong instinct.

And this is considered one of God's wisdom

to test them and differentiate into patience and stability.

That very instinct makes men work abroad for twenty years so that he can establish wedlock.

Men work hard and struggle throughout his life.

Such instinct that civilizations were built by.

Don't be bothered by men's instinct because it's a blessing from God.

He would establish a pure marriage and stable life if he used it in the right path.

The second secular question,

"What's the benefit of Hijab for women?"

Other than lowering sexual harassment rates, crimes and its sequences.

Hijab has benefits for women themselves.

First, it's obedience to God and His Messenger PBUH.

Secondly, it protects woman from the eyes of intruders.

And it makes her mind, not her body, the official speaker.

Hijab is the freedom of women whilst finery is a weak weapon woman uses instead of her mind.

Hijab makes woman free, so that she can live for herself and her home - not for a passerby.

In the West, woman only does what the man wants.

As she subjects to community attempts to get the biggest financial gain from it

and to get cheap personal desires.

Therefore, the woman in such societies lives obsessed with her beauty, fashion, style and make-up.

She can't find fulfillment as human being.

But she's under a complete crime to tamper with her.

Woman is meant to be on a long queue of models.

So she was converted from a unique human being into a beautiful animal.

Hence, wise women realize that the Hijab is symbol of womanhood.

There are many other divinely wisdom that every veiled woman feel

in her life, interactions, markets, sense of self,

her husband's respect towards her, gain dignity and self-esteem.

The third secular question,

"Is Hijab a religious duty commanded by Allah or record of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad PBUH?"

The disaster is that we live in a world full of sections

and we found people who deny the obligation of wearing Hijab.

It's such a strange time, you feel like all idiots of the past centuries assembled or met in.

Allah says in The Noble Qur'an: [Chapter 33, Verse 59]

"O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women,

that they should cast their outer garments over their persons when abroad"

That's a divinely order for every Muslim woman to wear Hijab.

"that they should cast their outer garments over their persons when abroad"

Allah says in The Noble Qur'an: [Chapter 24, Verse 31]

"And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty;

that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof;

that they should draw their veils over their bosoms"

That's a divinely order for every Muslim woman to wear veil.

What other evidences you want?!

Why do you hide facts and lie on people, secularist?

For what purpose?!

We live in a fleeting world.

Allah says in The Noble Qur'an: [Chapter 24, Verse 31]

"and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments."

This means they are completely veiled.

So that ornament or anklet - that she wears - doesn't draw attention unless she strike her feet.

After that a secularist comes and asks whether it's a religious duty commanded by Allah or Sunnah.

I swear to God, this is calamity.

Whoever says Hijab is not obligation, he has innovated the way of ignorance in Islam.

This is a crime against the religion of God.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH says in the authenticated Hadith

"The most hated persons to Allah are three:

(1) A person who deviates from the right conduct, i.e., an evil doer, in the Haram [sanctuaries of Mecca and Medina];

(2) a person who seeks that the traditions of the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance, should remain in Islam

(3) and a person who seeks to shed somebody's blood without any right."

"The most hated person to Allah is a person who innovate in Islam.

You can read the Hadith again:

"(2) a person who seeks that the traditions of the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance, should remain in Islam"

The most famous traditions of the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance is finery [make a dazzling display].

Allah says in The Noble Qur'an: [Chapter 33, Verse 33]

"and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance"

Whoever wants dazzling display on behalf of religion was led astray.

The tragic irony about the situation that secularists want to fool people

so they start making fun of Muslim scholars consensus concerning the obligation of Hijab.

Even though I mentioned express and unequivocal verses from The Noble Qur'an

not just consensus of Muslim scholars!

Moreover, God the Almighty told us to ask the people who have knowledge

and to attribute important matters to them.

As the learned are the heirs of the Prophets.

The need for reliable scholars to understand the legal text and to derive judgments is an indispensable need.

But Arab secularists want to take off the value and respect of Muslim scholars from people's hearts.

So that they can distort God's religion to what they please - in a later stage.

Divinely orders are settled according to the religious texts

that have plain significance whether they are from The Noble Qur'an or Authenticated Hadith of Sunnah.

"that they should cast their outer garments over their persons when abroad" [33;59]

"that they should draw their veils over their bosoms" [24;31]

That's a direct divinely order mentioned in The Noble Qur'an.

Also, severe warning of finery was mentioned in authenticated Hadiths.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH says in the authenticated Hadith

"There are two types of people who will be punished in Hell and whom I have not seen:

men having whips like the tails of cows and they will be beating people with them,

and, women who will be dressed but appear to be naked, inviting to evil; and they themselves will be inclined to it.

Their heads will appear like the humps of the Bactrian camel inclined to one side.

They will not enter Jannah and they will not smell its fragrance."

O secularist, Are you ready to bear the burden of women who put finery - at the day of Judgement?!

Whoever permits finery for women (while abroad) will bear that burden

without diminishing their burdens at all.

Because she listened for your advice.

The main order in Islam is submission to God the Almighty even if it's against our desires.

To admission God's law and command and to avoid his prohibitions.

Allah says in The Noble Qur'an: [Chapter 33, Verse 36]

"It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger

to have any option about their decision:

if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path."

Allah says in The Noble Qur'an: [Chapter 2, Verse 208]

"O ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly"

Enter into all legislation, adjudication and penalties of Islam

I swear to God, this is the only way of salvation [survival] in this world.

Psychological tendencies and desires fade by the time

and God the Almighty replaces it with quietness and peace of mind.

When (ʾUmaymah bint Ruqayqah) came to PRophet Muhammad PBUH to give a pledge of allegiance [accepting Islam].

Prophet PBUH gave her a pledge of allegiance that that she will not associate anything with Allah,

nor will they steal, nor will she commit unlawful sexual intercourse, nor will she kill their children,

nor will they bring forth a slander she have invented between her arms and legs

and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance.

Prophet PBUH gave her a pledge of allegiance that she will not make a dazzling display.

Hence, it's so significant.

Adhering to the law of God the Almighty leads to salvation.

We ask God the Almighty to grant us success

- all of us; Muslim men, Muslim women and secularists -

to adhere to His law, accept His fate

and to forgive our sins.

May Allah's peace, mercy and his greetings be upon you!

Janitor Before House Cleaning? Or Jump Right In? - Duration: 5:07.

Should you be a janitor before you start a house cleaning business?

That's a great question, and we're going to talk about that today.

Hi there.

I'm Angela Brown, and this is Ask A House Cleaner.

This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question,

and I get to help you find an answer.

Now today's show is brought to us by MyCleaningConnection.com

and it's where janitors and commercial cleaners

and professional house cleaners and people who do Airbnb and vacation rental turnover

service, and for mom and pops who own their own homes and they do their own cleaning.

So it's a resource hub with all different kinds kind of cleaning tips and tricks and

hacks and all kinds of stuff to make the cleaning better, are at MyCleaningConnection.com

Okay, so today's question comes from somebody who asks this:

Speaker 2: Hello, Angela.

Do you think it's a good idea to start working with a janitorial cleaning company first before

you get into the cleaning market?

All righty. That's a great question.

And I do recommend that you get some education about cleaning as you start your cleaning

business.

Now, it might be being a janitor for a while, and it might be that you just jump full-fledged

into a house cleaning business.

It doesn't really matter which.

The cleaning is going to be a little bit different.

In the janitorial industry, you're dealing with big buffers and big floor machines, which

are different than household vacuums and household mops or steamers.

So the equipment is a little bit different.

In the janitorial space, you're going to have some other things.

You're going to be replacing toilet paper and maybe soap in soap dispensers and paper

towels and things like that.

Whereas in a home, you're not going to do that.

Everything is pretty much the same as far as the cleanliness aspect of it goes, but

in buildings and commercial space, you're going to have big spaces like hallways and

big office buildings and waiting rooms and conference rooms.

Where in homes, the spaces are tinier, and you have more corners and you have more chances

for cobwebs and things like that.

So, the cleaning is going to be a little bit different, but the basic rules of cleaning

will be the same.

My suggestion to you is this: Get familiar with the job, and this is before you start

hiring other people and you expand the cleaning business.

There are a lot of people that want to just jump in and they want to manage a cleaning

business, and they've never cleaned before, and they have no idea what it involves, and

they have no idea what bidding contracts is all about, or scheduling, or the finances

and resources of it, or how to manage and maintain a team.

There's a whole bunch of stuff that's involved.

So my suggestion would be ... And there are a lot of people out there that disagree with

me on this, but my suggestion would be that you learn the business first, firsthand.

And by that I mean go out and do some cleaning.

Meet some customers.

Hear the complains with your own ears.

Learn what customers are expecting.

Learn how fickle customers can be.

Learn how you can get a cancellation at the very last minute for no apparent reason, and

then what do you do with that and how do you deal with that?

Because it's one thing to be dealing with it behind a desk, where you've never met the

customer face-to-face, or you have no idea what's happening, and then suddenly you have

to manage an employee who's dealing with that head on.

So my suggestion would be learn the business firsthand.

And the minute you think you have it figured out, then you can start expanding.

Lots of people jump in and they don't have enough work for the people that they've hired,

so there's this weird outgo of expense where they're doing all this advertising, they don't

have enough work, yet they have payroll they have to meet.

So go out and get started.

Learn about cleaning.

Do as much study and education as you possibly can around the business element, the management,

the finances, the investing, all the different stuff.

And they're about business growth.

Because as your business grows, your profit and loss will change.

And so, you want to make sure that you are aware of all the different things that are

about to hit you next.

The scary thing about the house cleaning industry is there are that just jump in, and they fly

by the seat of their pants, and they never fill in the gaps of the other part of the

business.

Then when those other things start flying at them, they're like, "Ah!"

And then they get out of the business, or they struggle and they flounder for years,

never realizing that there're actually already solutions that have been templated.

There are systems that you can incorporate very quickly that can help you overcome those

gaps and grow a flourishing business.

So give yourself time, and it sounds like you're willing to do this, because you asked

this question.

But give yourself time to learn the business so that when all this other stuff starts hitting

you, your kind of like, "Yeah, I got this.

I can figure this out.

Oh yeah, I knew this was coming.

Hey, this is no big deal," and then you go ahead and you just keep moving' like nothing'

ever happened.

That way there're no glitches or hiccups in your business, and you can still pay all your

bills on time.

All righty, that's my two cents for today.

Until we meet again,

leave the world a cleaner place than when you found it.

Rae-Anne: A diesel truck or clean energy career? - Duration: 2:45.

So I was, I think I was 19 and I was looking for something to do

and my dad was harassing me to go to school.

You need an education. You need to do something.

So one day, one of my parents clipped an article

out of one of the Edmonton newspapers and handed it to me

and it was about this new program at NAIT

Alternative Energy Technology

So I saw an ad for a diesel truck in the Sobeys in Edson

and really wanted that truck. I really liked it

and it ultimately came down to whether I was going to

buy a diesel truck or go to school

I could spend my money on one and I had to pick one.

And I ultimately made the decision to go

to school and learn about solar instead

of buying a diesel truck

The program was really interesting.

It was the first run-through so we had

I was told 24 different instructors

So, I started looking for an electrical apprenticeship

and nobody wanted to hire me.

It was a little slow at the time but

then I think there's also a little bit of maybe stigma

like oh here's this girl coming and wanting to work

at this electrical company and you know like you

know you're gonna have to be working with guys right?

I got hired for the week

and then 'well do you want to come and work in the city

for a few weeks and help us with this job?'

and then 'actually do you want to stay for the whole summer?'

I feel really good about working in an

energy industry that is clean energy.

Once that solar is up, its up.

And, it doesn't pollute. It's up there for 20-25

potentially even 30 years.

It's just there. It's producing clean energy from the sun

and it makes me feel really good to be a part of that
