Hey you guys, Steve Whipple, that's me for WHIPFIT coming to you on vacation from Korea we

head to Hong Kong tomorrow, and I got a question on my website which is www.whip.fit

How do you workout on vacation? OK, well if you have a gym in your hotel

even if it's a little outdated, you can still use that gym - obviously modify your

exercises and GTS (Google that shit) to find out what exercises you can do

step-by-step and get it done that way. If you don't have a gym in your hotel or

you're doing an Airbnb, wherever you're at - be it a hotel room or someone's house,

you have what you need to do a workout already in that space because you have

luggage we all have baggage right? So I was walking through the airport carrying

our luggage, and I just started naturally doing some shrugs cuz it felt good OK?

So some shoulder shrugs right there, then you can drop that luggage, grab one, take

it up overhead now you got some triceps. OK BOOM that's done! Grab your

backpacks because we all carry those or something similar to it drop them to

either side now you've got some bicep curls OK? If you don't want to use your

luggage wherever your destination is go to the store and buy some gallon jugs of

water, the ones with the handles work perfectly. Alright so you got some biceps

right there. For your back hold on to one piece of that luggage, get a nice

bend in your back, nice flat back - start pulling one side at a time you've got a

back workout right there. Alright working those lats there you go, that's back alright?

Chest is easy - drop to the floor do some push-ups if you don't want to

drop to the floor, grab a chair that exists in your hotel or Airbnb and use

that OK? Hands go on either side push-ups right there OK?

You can also flip it around, you can do some dips, that get your triceps again if

you want to do that. You take one leg up on the back of your chair pop a little

bit forward and now you got some lunges to do OK? Do that. You can also grab

your luggage again, nice wide stance do your sumo squats use what's in your

luggage kids! Good... All right. And then if you want to go back to that chair, you

can have a seat and then you go to WHIPFIT on YouTube and you do some nice

chair yoga. It's always good to stretch on vacation, because even though vacation

is vacation, it has an effect on your body, so do some yoga OK?

Chair yoga is awesome. If you need cardio, run in place. Run right around

your hotel room or your Airbnb. Who cares? And then finally abs is always easy just

drop to the floor, do some abs and again you can go to WHIPFIT on YouTube to find

some abs or just Google it. So there you go!

I'm already worn out just from showing you guys that, so, you will get a good

Omisore can't stop Adeleke from winning Osun re-run election - PDP - Duration: 3:06.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that it has the confidence of winning Osun state governorship supplementary election. The Punch reports that the election would hold in seven polling units in the state on Thursday, September 26.

we gathered that the national vice chairman (southwest) of PDP, Eddy Olafeso, stated this in Abuja on Wednesday, September 26, while addressing newsmen in Abuja.

It was reported that during the first ballot conducted on Saturday, September 22, PDP candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke garnered the majority vote of 254,698 while Isiaka Oyetola, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had 254,345 votes.

Olafeso said: "For us, we are very confident that victory will be ours tomorrow. We already won anyway.

"PDP is not bothered because our people are resolute. And they are desirous in ensuring that the victory denied us on Saturday will eventually be ours.

"We have spoken to our people and we are certain that their experience from the current administration is enough for the need for a change that will bring development to the nation.

Meanwhile, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ademola Adeleke, has reacted to the declaration of support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Iyiola Omisore.

we reported earlier that Omisore asked his supporters to vote for the APC in Thursday's supplementary election in Osun state. He said the ruling party has 'agreed' to adopt the manifesto of SDP.

However, reacting to the development, the director of publicity for Ademola Adeleke campaign organisation, Olawale Rasheed, who spoke with Premium Times in a telephone interview on Wednesday evening, September 26, said his party will still emerge victorious without SDP support.

"Omisore was not with us when we won on Saturday. If not for manipulation, we would have won with over 5000 votes.

We believe in the power of the voters. PDP will win because Ademola Adeleke is a popular liberation man. So, whether with the support of Omisore or not, victory is certain because we have started mobilisation since Sunday," he said.

Reasons A Parent Can Lose Custody - Duration: 13:43.

Child custody is nasty stuff. And you might want to know what are the reasons

a parent could lose custody. Tune In. We've been in it for a while Sid. Oh yeah. Oh.

Child custody is one of the messiest places where you can hang out. And

there's a lot of questions that come up about, "Am I going to lose custody for this?

What if I am in this situation am I get...?" So, I just brought you in Sid because

you're the expert. You've been an attorney in family law for how long now?

27 years. And so, you have seen it, I've seen it on the end of child custody

evaluations. Let's get into the list. What is it that can cause a parent to lose

child custody? Well, number 1 is non-cooperation. And what I mean by that

there are 2 basic ways to not be cooperative. One is not follow the law

and just not allow the visitation that's supposed to happen. Not pay the child

support, not make an attempt to do those things. And also, I just want to have a

little caveat here. It's much better to do what you can do if you can't do the

whole thing. For example if you or $500 of child support and you can only afford

100, it's much better to pay a hundred rather than zero just because you can't

come up with the whole 500. Judges will much more understand that.

Because there are circumstances. But anyway, but not allowing the visitation

and think about this, when you're not allowing visitation, you're starting to

alienate. You're starting to have the kids think, "Well, maybe there's something

wrong, maybe there's something dangerous." Or something like that or they're

starting to adopt your view point only. And kids need both parents, they really

do. Sid, can I go off on that for just a minute. Because as a former evaluator,

this ticked me off. When I saw a parent who was trying to restrict or

alienate a child from the other parent. Now granted, there's a lot of reasons why

you don't necessarily want the kids hanging out with your ex. I get that. As

an evaluator, it caused some real heartburn for me because I'm looking at

a long term solution. What can we do that's going to be in the best interest

of this child? We're going to come back to that phrase too. Great. What is in the

best interest of this child and I know from

everything that I've studied in psychology and everything I've

experienced in child custody cases, that is not in the best interest of this

child to be alienated from one of their parents. And usually, it backfires anyway.

That used to tip me over enough that sometimes it would sway my

recommendation for custody. Absolutely. And it's not in the direction that

the alienating parent thought it should be. Exactly. And this is one of those

areas where the law has certain parameters. And there are things that

aren't exactly spelled out in the law that... Things like being a control freak.

Now, there are two ways of being a control freak. One is just having your

natural personality and the other person perceiving you as being a control freak.

And the other one is actually trying to get the other person to follow through

your hoops. Either one of those are very difficult to exactly analyze under legal

situations. But they cause alienation and they cause frustration. If I see one of

my clients always reacting, reacting reacting to, "Oh, he did this, he did this,

he won't let me do this unless I do this." Then I say, "Let's be proactive and you

just do your thing and stop worrying about the hoops that he's trying to do."

Because legally we can enforce everything that is actually in the law.

But this whole control idea. Divorce cases are replete with what I call

unenforceable rules. Yes. And you, you will compromise your position in a custody

case if you're trying to establish more and more of these unenforceable rules.

Well, my ex needs to do this or that or this or that and you're demanding all of

these things. Exactly what I'm talking about. Not only is it unrealistic, it's

just wrong. It causes the dynamic... And what are you teaching the child kids? Yeah. You're

teaching the kids this is how you deal with other people in high conflict

situations and not get to peace. Instead of get to peace, you get into continuous

war. There's a book called finite and infinite games. And the first chapter

I'll quote, the first chapter says, "There are two kinds of games or at least two

kinds of games. One is infinite and the other is finite." Infinite games

are played to continue to play. Finite games are played for winners and losers.

So, how are you playing? Are you playing to win-lose? Or are you playing to let's

keep this going and keep it go and I love that idea. And the book goes from

there. The second main point is focusing on rights rather than on the children. If

you're just focusing on your rights then you're not paying attention to what's

going on with the kids. And this is where it sort of gets tricky. As the kids get

older, they're going to get involved in more and more things. When they're 7, 8

9, 10, they start getting into junior football, baseball, (Whatever) basketball,

soccer. There's all sorts of things that go on. Dancing, swimming. All sorts of

things. And that starts to interfere with regular schedules for parent time. So,

parents can either be cooperative about that and help each other and support

each other. Or they can be jerks about it and say things like, "Oh, well that's on my

knight, so she can't do that." What are you telling the kid? You're

focusing on your rights rather than the kid. And that's not a good thing either.

And especially if you bring up, "Oh, daddy's not letting you do this." You're

also getting into the alienation again. And that's another... I mean, you're

starting to bitter the water or something like that. I just, I hate that.

But focusing on your own rights is just never a good idea. However, there's

another side of this. You have to also make sure you're not just rolling over

every time. I have a client who every time the wife says, "Well, generally

doesn't want to come over next weekend." He says, "Oh, alright." "Well, pretty soon he

comes to me and he hasn't seen this child three months. I said, we'll stop

rolling over saying, well, Johnny needs to come over. And I'm going to have some time

with them." That's not the same thing as just focusing on your rights. It's

realizing children need both parents. And you need to be assertive. And let the

child know, "Hey, I care enough to make sure I'm seeing you as well." A little

comment here from my child development background, Sid. It's not healthy for

kids to be able to call the shots. Exactly. Now, that might be

counterintuitive to some folks but think about it this way, if a child is feeling

a little insecure like, my world is in upheaval and disruption. And it is when

mom and dad are going through a divorce. They sometimes need to have a sense that

that they're not the ones the shots. Because they know they can't

handle all of the complexity of this divorce. So, they have to hear from both

parents occasionally. "Well sweetie, I hear you and our plan is..." And you go right

back to the plan. Right. And I would use the word and

instead of but. That's just kind of a psychological tool that you can use. "I

hear you and I know that you're concerned about the visit and this is

our plan for a lot of good reasons. So, I'm going to support that plan." See you

can do it in a nice way. Yeah. You need to continue being the

parent and not just like you said, roll over to everything. But at the same time,

I agree 100%, Sid. We don't focus on our rights as much as we focus on the best

interest of the child. Keep in mind that the evaluator, the judge are both focused

on that particular standard. What is in the best interest of the children. And

quite frankly, they're not as concerned about your rights. Now, your attorneys

there to to help you make sure that you can meet your rights. It is in the best

interest of the kids for you to exercise your rights. Because they need contact

with both parents. But you can't be focusing on that more than you're

focusing on the care of the children. Right. That was well said I think. So,

that's, that's that. A third point is... This is obvious and yet, it's also subtle. It is

abuse and neglect. I have changed custody several times for these other reasons

that I've given. And also for abuse and neglect. The reason this is subtle is

because kids want to protect their parents. I don't know if that's just a

general psychological thing. The kids want to protect their parents so

something's going wrong in a home, they try to hide it from the other parent

quite often. Sometimes it's the opposite, sometimes they want to... They can't wait

to tell on the other parent. It gets over inflamed a lot of times. Exactly. But

there's exaggeration when that happens. I noticed though that quite often they're

subtle abuse going on. And one time, my client kept telling me, "There's something

wrong with my my child, there's something wrong with my child. I can't quite put my

finger on it." And then he realized, "I think it's a drug thing. I think that my

child is being exposed to drugs." So, I had my client do a hair follicle

test and meth came out in the child's hair. We changed custody immediately. But

it was hard. And that is a surefire way to lose. If you're abusing

and neglecting. Doing something illegal, doing something bad. And sometimes,

parents... For some reason, don't get that they're going to get caught. Physical abuse,

sexual abuse. Hopefully and I don't see that a lot. Thank Heavens. But other kinds

of abuse and neglect. Drug use is unfortunately rampant in some sectors of

society. And that is something that when kids get exposed to... I'm in the middle of

a case right now that's very sad. The child is being exposed to drug raids and

things like that. And we're doing everything we can to bring this to the

attention of the court. And that is eventually going to lead, I believe, to a

change in custody of this child. And it's it's sad. But truly, the whole idea here

is to figure out a way to cooperate as parents. You can't end your relationship

you can only change it when you have children in common. And you might as well

have the most pleasant opportunity for both kids. My wife comes from a divorced

family and she spent Christmas with both parents every single year. And

Thanksgiving as well. And some of some of the holiday time. I know that not every

set of divorced parents could get along that well. But my wife didn't suffer from

having to ever go through the, "Oh, should I... If I spend time with dad, I'm not going to

be with mom. Or if I'm going to spend time with mom, I'm not going to be with dad. If we

could get parents to focus on helping children feel comfortable in both places

and with both parents and being able to talk to mom about dad and dad about mom,

that would be such a wonderful world. I realized some personalities, we're never

going to get there but we can encourage everything that's good. But those are the

three main points. The non-cooperation, not being the law, that kind of things.

The first one, remember? And also focusing on your own rights rather than the

children's rights. And also doing abuse and neglectful things. Those kinds of

things are going to lose custody pretty much every time. Especially if they're

caught. Unfortunately, sometimes money's an issue. Parents come to me and they say

"Hey, this is going on. I want to go in and enforce this and do that."

If you don't... If you can't afford it, most states have ways to do some self help.

And be able to go to the courthouse and fill out forms and get before the judge.

And judges are sympathetic. They focus on the kids.

So, I hope this has been very helpful. I think that has been helpful. So, just from

your perspective as an attorney. As a psychologist, I'm over here thinking, "Okay,

one of the reasons we did this video in the first place is because of some of

the questions that have come from you, our viewers." On other videos, we've done

on child custody issues. One of them that I remember was "Am I going to lose

custody because I have to work?" There's so many factors that go into it. Sid,

you've hit the main reasons why someone would lose custody.

But I want to go back to something that you said early on. This is a game that

doesn't have a win or a lose outcome. And our adversarial system and the courts is

set up kind of that way. That and we're going to lose-win, we're going to lose. If you

can just change it in your own mind to more of a, "What are some good solutions

here?" How can I personally as a parent, forget what my ex is doing for a minute.

How can I cooperate with something that is reasonable and rational and in the

best interest of those children. And then have some confidence that you are a good

parent. And that you get to continue to be a parent to your child. Instead of

thinking oh I might lose custody. Understand that your child now has 2

worlds that they're negotiating. Your mom's world, there's dad's world. These

are very different worlds now. And when they're over in the other parents world

doesn't mean they're completely out of yours. You are still their parent.

Continue to show up as that conscious parent. Watch out for these pitfalls that

Sid helped us to illuminate today. And have some confidence that you

can continue to do this. And I would just add as well. If you're worried about, "Oh,

I'm now spending less time at home because I have to work." And things like

that, the general presumption and the law is if it ain't broke don't fix it. If the

children are thriving, even if you're spending less time than you were

yesterday or last year or whatever. And they're still thriving then that's great.

Even if you're working more and they're spending direct time with them less, the

most common and the most important factor is if everything is okay.

If there's not a need to change it then the judge generally won't do it. And

so, that's why it takes something sort of extraordinary like

breaking the law or abuse and neglect and those kinds of things. That's why

it's... You shouldn't be in constant fear. "Oh, I'm going to lose custody." Because

life happens. And life happens to everybody.

So, basically the bad news is yes you can lose custody. The good news, you probably

you're not going to. Stay the course, be strong.

Liposuction is the most commonly performed plastic surgery procedure in the United States.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of patients undergo the surgery to enhance their aesthetic appearance.

Many people are unaware as to what specific problems liposuction can treat.

First off, liposuction is a body contouring procedure.

If your body is poorly shaped, you may consider liposuction.

Liposuction specifically targets stubborn fat pockets in localized areas of the body.

Aging, poor lifestyle, genetics, and inactivity may lead to the development of stubborn fat pockets

in your body like the abdomen, sides, flanks, upper back, thighs, etc.

The fat deposits are stubborn because they do not respond to exercise and diet.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Welcome to today's episode of Ask the Doc.

Today, we're talking about cruciferous vegetables

and how they affect thyroid health.

Jonathan Hunsaker here with Organixx. And today's question for Doc comes from Catherine,

who wants to know if the cruciferous vegetables in our Multi-Vita-Maxx are formulated

so that they won't interfere with the thyroid.

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: So, our question is

"Do the cruciferous vegetable concentrates in Multi-Vita-Maxx negatively affect

the thyroid in some way?"

Well, a lot of your cruciferous vegetables are considered goitrogens.

They're called goitrogens because they speed up how fast the liver utilizes iodine.

And so, if you're iodine deficient, and you're eating lots of cruciferous vegetables,

that could negatively affect your thyroid because they speed up how fast

your body metabolizes iodine, so you end up losing iodine, so to speak.

Your body uses it so fast that you run out of iodine pretty quick, basically.

When we put Multi-Vita-Maxx together, you'll notice that there's a significant

amount of iodine in Multi-Vita-Maxx.

The small amount of the cruciferous vegetable extracts

Hey wizards and witches and now we'll see why this is in the Fantastic Beasts

Dumbledore why can't you go. I cannot move against Grindelwald

it has to be you.

Now many people attribute this action the Dumbledore's

love of Grindelwald I kind of disagree, well this may form

part of the reason I believe there's a lot more to it namely in the King's Cross

chapter in the Deathly Hallows. So Dumbledore lost his father after he

went to Azkaban this is for attacking muggles that tortured Ariana

Dumbledore sister. After this ordeal Ariana had a number of mental conditions

which meant she couldn't be left alone and I had to be constantly careful

Dumbledore later lost his mother while she was caring for Ariana

which meant Dumbledore had to come back and look after the family. Dumbledore though

having just finished at Hogwarts was planning on taking a world tour with Elphias Doge

as was traditional at the time. Dumbledore much resented coming back

seeing it as a waste of his talents. Albus says I was gifted I was brilliant I

wanted to escape I wanted to shine I wanted glory I was

selfish Harry more selfish than you, who are a remarkably selfless person, who

could possibly imagine. Aberforth Dumbledore's brother who was still at

school offered to do the job looking after Ariana but Dumbledore insisted

came. So this is where Grindelwald makes an appearance. He meets Dumbledore at the age

young leaders of the revolution, oh I had a few scruples I assuaged my conscience

with empty words, it'll be for the greater good and any harm done will be

the moment has come to take our rightful place

in the world where we Wizards are free. So Dumbledore was tempted by power his

Achilles heel, so this is where it all goes wrong. Recently returned in the form

forth to seek the hallows with a fragile unstable sister in tow the argument became

a fight Grindlewald lost control, that which I had always sensed in him though I

pretended not to now sprang into terrible being and Ariana

after all my mother's caring and caution lay dead upon the floor. So at this point

Grindelwald flees with his plans for power, muggle torture and uniting the

Hallows, Dumbledore is left to bury his sister. I meanwhile was offered the post

of minister for magic not once but several times

naturally I refused I had learnt that I was not to be trusted with power

I have proven as a very young man that power was my weakness and my temptation

it is curious thing Harry, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are

those who have never sought it. Those who like you have leadership thrust upon

them and take up the mantle because they must and find to their own surprise they

wear it well. This again points to the reason why he wants Newt to take on Grindelwald

Do you know why I admire you Newt?

You do not seek power you simply ask is the thing right

They say he feared me and perhaps he did, but less I think than I feared him. It

was the truth I feared you see I never knew which of us in that

last horrific fight had actually cast the curse that killed my sister. I dreaded

beyond all things the noise that it had been I who brought about her death

not merely through my arrogance and stupidity, but that I actually struck the

blow the snuffed out her life. I think he knew it I think he knew what frightened

me. This is the main reason why Dumbledore didn't go after Grindelwald

secondly would probably be the temptation of being turned by the thought of power

and being United "Wizards United" with him on that original quest. As we later learn

from JK Rowling Dumbledore was in love with Grindelwald. This again would

strengthened the temptation for Dumbledore to join with him. But his primary

weakness was guilt over his sister, the temptation of power and how all brought

out the worst in him. So that's my theory, well not my theory, it was in the book.

That's my theory on why Dumbledore doesn't go after Grindelwald. Also by

looking through here you can see the parallels between Newt Scamander and

Harry. Harry being relatively selfless and Newt not taking sides

this makes both of them relatively immune to the influences of Grindelwald

- Hello everyone, my name is Mandi Lynn.

I'm the author of the fantasy novels Essence and I am Mercy

and thriller novel She's Not Here

and also the creator of AuthorTube Academy.

And today, I wanted to talk about the worst writing advice

you can receive.

So, giving people writing advice is tricky

because everyone is different.

Everyone has their different way that they write

and different way that they think they should write.

But today, I wanted to talk about some writing advice

that you may have gotten in the past

that may or may not be controversial.

Tip number one, write every day.

So, this is actually a tip I've given out a lot

and it's a tip that, I think, has very good value.

However, I wanted to talk about it here today

because there is such thing as being human.

It is not humanly possible to write every day,

and even if it was, it's not necessarily the best thing

for your sanity.

Now, I like to say that it's good to write every day

because it helps you form habit.

And when you form habits, you're able to write more

and you're able to write more often

and the words just flow easier.

However, with that said, we have to keep in mind

that we all need breaks.

No matter how much you love something,

you can't do it every day.

It is a lot of pressure to write every single day,

and when you put that sort of pressure on yourself,

you stop enjoying what you're doing

and it makes it feel more like a job.

With that said,

I do wanna say that you should feel no pressure

to write every day if it doesn't work for you.

I tend to write almost every day

when I'm in the midst of writing a novel,

but when I'm in between novels,

I need that downtime to relax and do other things.

Tip number two, write in one genre.

So, obviously, I don't enjoy following this tip

because I've written young adult fantasy,

historical fantasy, and psychological thriller.

With that said, I can't seem to stick to a genre,

and I have a feeling my fourth novel

will probably be a different genre as well.

Now, the reason this tip is handed out

is because if you are published,

you need to go into a niche market,

and when you

hop around genres,

then it's hard to find an audience

that will like all the different genres you've written.

So with that said, me writing in three different genres

is considered risky and not necessarily smart.

However, I've written three different genres

because I don't care!

I write in different genres

because I write the story I wanna tell.

I can't just pigeonhole myself to one genre

because I find that really boring.

I write the way I read.

I like to read a whole bunch of different things

because I like to see what's out there.

If you only read young adult fantasy,

you'll notice you're reading the same thing over and over.

And that's not a bad thing,

but it's just the fact that you can only tell

one genre's story so many different ways.

And then after a while,

you're just reading the same thing over and over again.

And I feel like the same goes for if you're writing.

If you're writing in only one genre,

you can only tell so many different stories.

Writing in multiple genres gives you some wiggle room

to exercise your writing muscles and try out new things.

And you'll notice your writing improves

when you try to tell different types of stories.

Tip number three, you must have beta readers.

And this is a tip that is not necessary.

While it is extremely, extremely useful

to have beta readers, by all means, is it necessary?

Is it necessary to have someone look at your novel

and edit it and give you feedback before you publish it?

Yes, absolutely, especially if you're self-published.

If you are the only person who's read your book

and you publish it, you're gonna notice

you're not gonna get the most friendly reviews.

Now, while beta readers are amazing,

they help you give feedback,

if you have a hard time finding beta readers

or you just don't feel comfortable

letting random strangers read your book

and give you feedback, that's okay!

I didn't have beta readers for Essence or I am Mercy.

Frankly,

I don't even think I knew it was a thing at the time

because I was just so ingrained in my own stories.

However, I did hire a professional editor.

That editor helped me spot plot holes and fix things

and do everything that a beta reader woulda done.

As long as you have someone looking at your book

at some point and giving you constructive feedback,

you are fine.

Tip number four that I like to ignore

is write what you know.

Now, it is much easier to write what you know,

and you can give something very organic and true

to your audience when you write what you know.

We don't know everything!

And frankly, if you are just a regular old person,

the odds are

is that you have a pretty normal and boring life.

How are you supposed to write a page-turning novel

if all you do is go to school or go to work

and you don't have

drama in your life?

How are you supposed to write an exciting and engaging story

if you haven't experienced something

that's exciting and engaging?

This is just another way I like to reiterate the fact

that you can't pigeonhole yourself when it comes to writing.

Just let yourself write.

If you've never experienced something,

but you wanna write about it, try to experience it.

Whether that means experiencing it

through another novel that you've read

or doing some real-world research,

as long as you throw your heart and soul into something,

you can write about anything.

The last piece of advice I like to ignore is don't use said.

So, this is actually a very controversial thing.

So, I've heard of people who say you can only use said

or you shouldn't use said and you should use other words

to describe things like

he vehemently uproared or something, I don't know,

but people like to get really creative

when they're using dialogue.

And while that's great, you can't use it all the time.

So when you're reading dialogue, you want it to flow

and you don't want your readers to even know

that they're reading dialogue.

You need to throw the word said in,

so you know who's talking,

but if you throw the word said in,

people are so used to it that they don't even notice it,

so all they notice is this is who's talking.

They don't notice the actual word said and all that.

And

if you use all these fancy

different ways of quoting dialogue,

it pops out at the reader.

And sometimes it's a good thing,

and sometimes that's a bad thing.

So if you strictly say you shouldn't ever use the word said

or you strictly say you should only use the word said,

you are, once again, pin-holing yourself

and you really shouldn't do that.

There's a lovely balance,

I think, about

maybe 80 to 90% of the time,

you should be using the word said

and the other 10 or 20%, you can get all fancy.

But, really, there's always that balance

and there's no strict rules to writing.

And that's basically all I wanted to translate

with this video is that everyone's gonna give you advice.

Some of it's gonna be good,

some of it's gonna be bad.

And maybe I've given you some advice

that you don't agree with,

which I'm sure is completely possible.

And I know for a fact people have giving me advice

that I don't agree with.

You just gotta do what works for you

and do what feels right in your heart

when it comes to telling your story.
