So You Want to Hire a Music Producer? Part Three - Duration: 8:30.
hey you guys Trey here and welcome to the final part of my series on hiring a
producer
the session that I have up here I think it may have featured this in some other
videos this is a fun song it's kind of dancehall client was super happy with
the way it turned out most of the production had already been done
they just wasn't really mixed and a client wanted me to do all the vocal
work and to add a drop and things like that so I want to talk about the kind of
elements that come after I get a vocal done and get a production kind of laid
out and this song has some elements that I want to show so let me play it for you
and talk about what I did
all right somebody's getting to the course I'll show you the drop and then
I'll talk about this becomes the drop
all right so cool there's a lot of great vocals in this I really love this part
love that he's also good a great really fun song when I got this the track had
some cool parts but it wasn't really sitting in a nice way I went through and
I really did the same thing on the vocals that I do for all of my go
through and I tune and tweak I didn't have to do any comping but I probably
aligned some parts there in the chorus then I started on the mix in this case
let me just really focus for a minute on the drop there was no drop in the song
the client asked for one so I created this thing
so what I was really trying to do here is create something fun obviously I've
got to chop vocal that I took out of Fidel's vocal but I also bring back the
talk about it that's the main line that's the hook the title so I wanted to
come back and focus on that it's really important because if you listen to the
chorus see how many times you actually get the title
all right so you basically get the title at the intro of the course and that's it
as far as trying to get a song on the radio you need to clearly lay out what
your title is what your hook is so that the listener can get it and sing along
so I tried to focus on that with the drop so I do it I do it a chop fashion
but you got to talk about it thing there
it's nicely
a couple of things that are happening there bring the energy up because the
course is kind of just cool laid-back right so I brought some energy to the
drop I like to use the actual singers vocals so all that kind of stuff has to
happen after I get to vocals and creating a vocal chop and it dropped
like that that can take anywhere from a couple hours to maybe half a day so for
this last example the artist she had been in town for about a week working on
various songs which she came in to track this her voice was kind of worn out she
was on her last leg so I really had to take a lesser amount of parts you really
build a full vocal out of this thing I got a lot of great parts out of her but
there were some rough moments let me play it for you then I'll show you some
of the things that I did to really help fill in the gaps really create some
energy where there was none
I'm going to stop there so the first thing I did was I was looking at the
verse and I realized there was a huge gap between the two verse sections that
really needed something a little friends where they know
I first added the guitar part
we using some reverse verbs on that guitar really trying to create something
ethereal with it then I brought in a chopped vocal
again reversed verbs that I was using there to create a sort of certain
spacious feel but it wasn't quite enough so I brought in on top of that
so bring that where are they now so those are some examples of how after all
the work you've done on the track you've got to come back and make this a full
song make it catchy alright let's look at the chorus
now on this next section where she sings this sort of non lyric melodical part
there's a sense supporting that
this is how we find every way you can to make the vocals sit right to give every
line the proper support in the end I want to have exceeded the expectations
of the client I want them to be able to feel like I filled their vision and yet
it brought something creatively that was just its own artistic enhancement to
their song the process isn't simple but it is worth it all right you guys so I
hope that my little series here was valuable to you in some way I hope that

to learn and practice more math
it's a nightmare
kumon even gives you
homework on top of the homework that you already got from regular school
monsters
and if you think that the madness ends when summer vacation starts

while the non Asian kids are off playing sports
going
art camp for doing whatever the heck else kids do for fun
the Asian kids
are still going to Kumon
or being forced to do some other productive activity
like
mastering the violin the piano
in my case
my dad made me do
four pages from a math book everyday
before I could do anything else for fun
now four pages doesn't seem that bad
well that is
until you realize
that each
page had 25 algebra problems
for a grand total of
100 problems
and also the I was
in the fifth grade
meaning
that I wouldn't be learning algebra in school
for another two years
ridiculous
now on top of the explicitly
math related stuff like kumon and math
books when you have Asian parents
they have the tendency to take any random thing
no matter how innocent it
may be
and make it on math problem
take the scene from fresh off the boat for
example
if this jukebox uses 50 kilowatts of power at 11 cents per
kilowatt and a 3-minute song cost 25 cents
how much money do we lose per song
two and a half cents
oh man
and this is why I never plug in the jukebox

this is a joke or some overdramatized stereotype

Ever get that creepy-crawly feeling when you're in the garage at night?
That phantom tickle on the back of your neck?
Well, there IS something out there, waiting in the dark.
The house centipede.
It's voracious, venomous, and the fastest centipede there is.
But don't worry.
It wouldn't hurt a fly.
Oh...not quite true.
So, let's clear something up right now.
Despite their name, centipedes almost never have a hundred legs.
Most have fewer than sixty.
And the tiny monster in your garage starts out with only eight.
Until it grows, sheds its exoskeleton, and sprouts more legs.
Then it sheds again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
And again, until it finally gets to 30.
All those legs work together in a rippling, rolling motion called a metachronal wave.
It's kind of the same way a worm gets around.
But, the centipede is way, way faster, propelled by these extra-long, super-charged legs in
the back.
Think of it as a well-synchronized crew boat, skimming over the water with the strongest
rowers in the rear, and the ones in front keeping things steady.
A set of stiff plates running down the centipede's back, called tergites, keep the segments underneath,
called sternites, from rocking side-to-side.
But the house centipede still has legs to spare.
And it's found some novel ways to put them to work.
Those extra-EXTRA long ones at the very end sort of look like antennae, don't they?
That's the idea.
It's called automimicry, when one part of the animal looks like another part, usually
to fool predators, or prey.
That's what people always thought.
But when scientists in Germany took a closer look at these legs, they found as many sensory
hairs on them as on the antennae.
So these "faux" antennae aren't just dummies.
They actually work.
And see those fangs up front?
Those are its forciples.
In some early ancestor, they used to be legs too.
They clamp down and inject the venom.
But house centipedes rarely bite people.
Those forciples are also a great grooming tool.
Oh, aaanndd… the tip of each centipede leg is another kind of tool, one so super-segmented
that it's almost like a rope.
The centipede uses them as a lasso to keep its prey from escaping.
Not even this cricket, with its powerful kick, can loosen the grip.
So twinkle-toes here is kind of a creepy Swiss Army knife.
You might say it's got a few legs up on the competition.
OK, OK, bad pun, I know.
Centipedes are really methodical groomers.
Kind of like cats.
They start with the front legs and work their way to the back.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 All Clone Wars Skins Confirmed So Far! September Update Is Almost Here! - Duration: 6:39.
Hey guys and welcome back to another video
I am the twisted Jedi and in today's video we are going to be discussing all
of the Clone Wars skins from heroes to clones that have been confirmed so far
by dice and EA and when they're going to be released into battlefront - now I
know this video will be stating things that most people already know from the
road map but I also wanted to talk about my hopes and expectations for what I
want them to look like and what I think the future hero skins could be if you
aren't familiar with the clone skins that I mentioned I'll also briefly touch
on where they appear in Star Wars Canon and if they are led by a particular Jedi
general so there are five clone skins confirmed and a couple of heroes skins
as well which is what I will be going through in just a minute before I start
though I am going to be placing one random Star Wars question at the end of
most of my videos from now on if I remember them while I'm recording so
once you get through to the end of the video be sure to place your answer in
the comment section below and let's test your Star Wars knowledge
I will be picking one lucky viewer who answers today's question correctly to

getting to the main point of the video the first skin that has been confirmed
is the 91st mobile reconnaissance Corps now the 91st has been confirmed by the
latest version of the road map obviously and it's gonna be releasing in the
September update which if you didn't know is releasing in a couple of days on
the 25th so these clones have served under multiple Jedi generals during the
Clone Wars the most easily recognizable being mace windu these guys have hidden
roughly nine episodes or ten in the Clone Wars and a brief snippet in
Revenge of the Sith honestly I hope these look really good in battlefront 2
this particular group of clones can look pretty plain mostly white with a little
bit of red at times they look a little bit boring so I hope each of the classes
has a different amount of diversity and looks different in their own way
the next clone skins that are confirmed are the 104th Wolfpack battalion which
we all know is led by Commander wolf the wolf pack's Jedi general was none other
than Pleau Koon which coined their squad nickname close bros these skins are
white with grey markings and could look really really good on battlefront too
now I'm not sure whether or not they're going to base this on commander Wolf's
look or if it's going to be more like the standard troopers we know from the
last community to mission that both the 91st and 100
fourth will be releasing changes down the line to their appearance so I'm
assuming that's what they're gonna be doing maybe they change their mind after
the community feedback on the three hundred and twenty seventh the Wolfpack
did appear in multiple episodes of the Clone Wars fighting alongside platoon as
well as in star wars rebels commander Wolffe does make a return as well so
those two skins are confirmed for a couple of days from now on the 25th
following that in the month of October we are finally getting the release of
General Grievous Grievous will be getting one skin as well which when he
does drop I'm assuming we will get a caped and non caped version for him as
there is a distinct lack of appearances for general grievous throughout Star
Wars Canon personally I would prefer the non caped version as I would probably
prefer to not have all of his awesome appearance covered up moving on is
obi-wan Kenobi and he will be getting two appearances on top of his base
appearance which is really really awesome and something I'm super excited
about I know a lot of people weren't expecting any skins when the heroes
dropped so it's a surprise to be sure but a welcome one I hope his base
appearance is Revenge of the Sith with the two appearances possibly being
episode two obi-wan and maybe old Ben but I would absolutely love to see an
armoured appearance from the Clone Wars series that would be my top skin for Obi
one and I would have that equipped right away coming alongside general Kenobi is
the two hundred and twelfth attack battalion which you probably would have
seen a bunch of times from the Clone Wars and also in the prequels Commander
Cody led the two hundred and twelve under obi-wan Kenobi and is possibly one
of my favorite clients of all time I love his design and I hope we get a
similar looking skin to his at least for one of the classes in Battlefront two
there have been some really cool mods going around especially one in
particular of Commander Cody that looks absolutely amazing so if we can get a
clone skin similar to that I will be happy second last on our list is the
Khorasan Guard clone troopers the current guard was a division of elite
clone Shock Troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic they were organized to
serve as peacekeepers and protect the Galactic Republic capital on chorus on
the current guard was initially placed under the command of CC 10/10 also known
as commander Fox they didn't really have a Jedi general as they remained on
Coruscant for the most part and patrolled the streets however they did
serve as personal bodyguards for Chancellor Palpatine
the Coruscant guard hosts white and red armor and although we
getting something similar to that with the 91st the core assault guard will
definitely look better in my opinion because they get a lot more red on their
armor if you go and have a look at pictures of both of them I think you'll
agree with me that the Khorasan guard looks much better so finally we have
made it to the last game that has been confirmed for Battlefront 2 and this one
will definitely have a lot of people happy the 501st legion will be coming
alongside anakin skywalker in winter the five-o first is one of the highest
requested clone skins out of any of them and the white and blue armor is going to
look amazing in Battlefront 2 once these and the Coruscant guards get added they
will be my go to clone skins and I can't wait to see the different colored armors
running around the battlefield anyways before I finish this video and wrap it
up I want to mention the fact that we are getting Geonosis as a playable map
later this year something I would love to see is this clone from season 2 of
the Clone Wars series on Geonosis when the Jedi return to Geonosis to wipe out
the droid factory these skins look absolutely amazing in multiple episodes
and I feel like if you edit the colors of the current xli skin to brown and add
some other color tweaks like yellow and this wouldn't be far off at all if
anyone from DICE catches this video please consider adding this to the game
because I think it would be a really nice surprise for the fanbase anyways
