let me just firstly say great plan
using online video is becoming immensely
important as a business as more and more
people use it to generate fans and sell
their products and services. so one thing
people always tell me they struggle with
is getting started so today I'm going to
be talking about two tips you can use to
get started learning video so you can
actually see results quickly and then at
the end I'm gonna let you know how you
can get my step-by-step guide to
creating professional videos for your
business using just your phone more on

till you're perfect so it seems obvious
but you like many others out there might
be scared to get started because you're
waiting until you're quote/unquote
perfect by reading all the blogs and
watching all the webinars doing all the
research you can. but to be honest the
only way you're gonna get awesome at
making videos is to actually start doing
it with whatever camera you have whether
that's just your smartphone. and by
waiting you're actually just hurting
yourself and your business because your
competitor might already be making
videos you don't think are awesome but
the point is they're making them
reaching their customers and being able
to sell their products and services and
they're just gonna get better with every
video they make. so let me know in the
comments below why you've been putting
off getting started with video I'd
really love to know, because it's like
learning anything that you want to
master you have to start doing it so
take me for example I'm learning
skateboarding to improve my surfing no
matter how many YouTube tutorials I
watched on skateboarding technique
nothing actually beats getting done in
my garage riding around on my skateboard
and even making mistakes.
So put those yeah-butt's aside start making those
mistakes so you can learn.
Find a supportive community. so learning video
on your own it's tough and I know
because I've done that and you're gonna
be left with a lot of unanswered
questions what kind of gear how to craft
your message how to use social media
platforms effectively everything you
need to know to actually get results
with video and if you like me appearing
on camera is gonna be a terrifying first
step so it's important to find support
from others who have been where you are
and there's actually a lot of power in
learning in a group.

5 Scary Modern Cults That Still Exist Today - Duration: 7:50.
What's going on horror fans - and welcome back to the most hauntingly horrific channel
on YouTube - the place where the altar is set and the summoning is about to begin - Top
5 Scary Videos.
As per usual - you know the drill by now - I'll be your host Jack Finch, as we don our ceremonial
garb, light the beacons - and take a look at 5 Scary Modern Cults That Still Exist Today.

I hope you enjoyed our recent Scary Ancient Cults video, where we managed to take a look
at some of the more perplexingly perverse forms of religion in humanity's early history
- but, the thing is, a lot of the same principles of secrecy, brainwashing and centralized worship
- are still applicable to organisations that exist today.
If you've never heard the term "Cult of Personality" - then look it up, because
with the right amount of charisma, misinformation and bad intentions - the correct person can
do some really scary stuff.
Kicking off at Number 5 - we have the Church of Bible Understanding.
Founded in 1971 by Stewart Traill - this communal organization was originally known as the Forever
Family - at it's home location of Allentown in Pennsylvania.
It gathered steam in the late 70s - after moving its headquarters to New York - where
it developed a controversial network of churches and communes - and amassed over 10'000 members
at its peak.
Bizarrely enough - Traill's motive was to encourage members to break off contact with
their families, forcing them into their communal lifestyle, and working, essentially as free
labour - for a number of businesses.
These included a carpet cleaning business, and a used van venture.
The group has been accused of being a cult on numerous occasions, and it's suspected
that their leader - Stewart Traill - became a multi-millionaire from the exploitation
of young, vulnerable adults.
In later years - after a string of controversies - its members dwindled to a few hundred, but
recently in 2013 - the Church was accused of gross misconduct at a number of their orphanages
in Haiti, despite claiming to spend 2.5 million dollars on their upkeep annually.
Next up at Number 4 - Raelism.
One of the most notorious cults in modern history, Raelism began in 1974 after a Frenchman
named Claude Vorilhon claimed he'd had a vision of an alien spacecraft descending over
southern France.
He said that the craft was filled with strange beings, that told him humans were the only
hope for the future of the universe, and then handed him a Bible.
Apparently - he was there for over six days - and the head alien, coincidentally named
Yahweh - explained that the Old Testament is actually a record of humanity's early
days, and that he needed to construct an embassy ready for the aliens when they would eventually
return to inhabit Earth.
Sounds pretty kooky, right?
Well - for the next three decades, his teachings amassed a following of over 20'000 people
- where they essentially worshipped aliens, opposed violence, championed science and participated
in mass orgies.
Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
Well - things got even weirder in 2002 - when the cult claimed to have done the impossible,
and cloned a human - a baby girl named Eve.
Of course, everyone went nuts - even the White House got involved, lawsuits were filed - but
the Raelist's stuck to their guns, and still to this very day claim to be producing human
clones.
Coming in at Number 3 - Congregation for the Light.
Now, the majority of this list are organisations that are happily out in the open - that try
and amass as many members as they can get under their leadership.
Well, these guys like to do things a little bit differently.
Strangely enough, though - they like to be out in the open, avoiding the backwater compounds
synonymous with many other cults - and instead having their headquarters deep in the heart
of Manhattan.
They're controlled by one, all powerful leader.
Tom Baer, a 73 year old Ohio native who denies that the Light is a cult.
He preaches bizarre racial theories regarding Aryans and Atlantis, preps his people for
a doomsday event, speaks about complex mythology involving owls and squirrels - and has an
all powerful grip on the relationships and love lives of its members.
The Congregation of the Light is an incredibly small cult, having only roughly 200 members
- but the scary thing is how secluded the group are, with the majority of them being
born into the Light.
Bringing us in at Number 2 - Happy Science.
Happy Science.
Well - its name definitely doesn't reflect the tone of its actual nature, in fact - as
far as terrifying modern cults go - Happy Science is probably near the top of the list.
An absolute mish mash mashup of world religions, from New Age hocus pocus to far-right nationalism
- the leader of Happy Science, a man named Ryuho Okawa - claims that he's a supreme
being called El Cantare, a combination of Jesus Christ, the Buddha and the Prophet Muhammad.
Formed in 1986 by the former salaryman, Okawa initially called the group, the God Light
Association.
His pursuit is to create a nine-dimensional heaven, whatever that may be - which himself
at the head of the whole Cult of Personality shenanigans.
Here's the kicker, though - the group claims to have over 12 million members worldwide
- and have also founded their own political wing called the Happiness Realization Party.
And here's the crazy part - this group advocates violent Japanese nationalism, denying historical
atrocities and advocating for war between China and North Korea.
Let's hope they stay just a cult, right?
And finally, at our Number 1 spot - NXIVM.
If you're wanting to find a modern cult that is incredibly recent - then look no further
than NXIVM.
According to their website, NXIVM is a company whose mission is to raise human awareness,
foster an ethical humanitarian civilization, and celebrate what it means to be human.
Well - apparently that translates to being at /best/ - an abusive pyramid scheme - and
at its disgustingly worse - a human-trafficking operation and sex cult, subsidised by expensive
brainwashing.
NXIVM and its owners have been indicted on several federal charges - including sex trafficking
- and have been accused of being a recruiting platform for a cult operating within it, variously
known as DOS or The Vow - where women members in particular were forced into sexual slavery
and physical abuse.
It's a disgusting modicum of the abuse of power demonstrated at the expense of vulnerable
individuals.
The cult was founded in 1998 by Keith Raniere, who through several decades of deception managed
to coerce over 17'000 under the organisations influence.
This has included a huge amount of celebrities - actors, actresses, models and other public
figures.
The lid was blown fully in March 2018, when Raniere was arrested and federally indicted
- shortly followed by other important figures in the cult.
They go to trial in October 2018.

Your Sign Language Videos Might Not Be Accessible - Duration: 6:24.

Hey, it's Rikki.
Welcome to Deaf Awareness Month.
Today, I want to talk about how your signed videos might not be accessible.
If there is no sound in a video, it is inaccessible to blind/deaf-blind people.
If a blind person can't see the signs,
they need sound in order to understand the video.
If someone is deaf-blind, they need captions, but
they can't see the captions very well because of size.
People go, "What does that say? I can't read that."
So you need something to make videos more accessible.
So what do you do?
There's 3 things you can do:
1 - If you're comfortable, voice in the video.
Make a voiceover that you can put on the video.
So then you'll have two things: captions and voice in the video.
Now, I know and understand that not all deaf people are comfortable voicing.
So a possibility would be to get someone else to do it for you.
I know that Chrissy has someone do the voiceover for her videos.
So that's an option.
2 - If voice is not an option, write out a transcript.
It's like captions, but it's all on one "paper".
It's a bunch of words all laid out at once in the screen.
But wait a minute!
How is a blind/deaf-blind person supposed to use that?
There's a program called VoiceOver.
VoiceOver is a program that lets the computer read text out loud.
Or, you know how there are deaf people who can hear?
It's the same with blind/deaf-blind people.
If a blind person has some vision,
they can use their computer to make the text bigger.
So the font would be tiny before, but now it'll be bigger and more viewable.
Make sense?
3 - Both, or all the options mixed together.
So you have a voiceover, captions, and a transcript.
Just everything together in a nice little package.
So if captions were also included and if someone used them,
they would be in charge of changing size and color.
Or if they don't want captions, they can simply open the transcript.
Or if they're a hearing blind person, they can use VoiceOver and hear it.
So now you have the transcript, but where do you put it?
I'm an avid user of Google Docs.
That is my preferred program.
You can use whatever you want.
But that's just my suggestion.
So where do you put the transcript in the video?
If I'm using Google Docs, I write it all out and then
I put the link to the transcript in the video.
Personally, I put the link in the description box.
The description box is under the video player.
I just put the link in there.
So if someone needs it, they just click on the link.
They open it, they read it, they get accessibility.
I know people who like to put the transcript in the comments.
So you have the video player and then the comments underneath.
If you want, you just paste the whole transcript there.
Most of the time, I see this done on Facebook.
For myself, I personally prefer a link because of character limits.
If you use a description box, you have to put all information in it.
But you can't write everything you want because there's no room.
If you use the comments, I guess sometimes that'll work.
Or if you want, again, use both.
Really, I do use both.
I leave a link in the description as well as in the pinned comment.
That comment stays at the top so everyone can see it.
They'll always see it because it's at the top.
So, again, your options are voiceover if you're comfortable voicing,
or have someone else voice for you,
have a transcript typed out,
or lastly, both.
It's nice to have all the options because everyone has different needs.
So, hopefully, this video helped you out some.

I Suffer From Facial Wasting Due To HIV - Duration: 4:26.
We had heard about a virus.
One of us had heard about it.
We supported each other,
and it ended up testing positive.
And at that time they said 25% of people
seemed to be only getting sick with this virus.
So do what you do to live your life healthy,
be good, come back and see us again in a while.
- Which shows that the lifestyle of some
male homosexuals has triggered an epidemic,
of a rare form of cancer.
- I went back about nine months later
and they said that only 25% of people were surviving.
Meaning that everyone was dying.
Which later evolved the next year into
100% of people were dying,
there was nobody that was surviving the virus.
- [TV Newscaster] The condition severely
weakens the body's ability to fight disease.
Researchers are now studying blood
and other samples from the victims,
trying to learn what is causing the disease.
So far they have had no luck.

over the years, which has helped with facial wasting,

Today we're working at Being Alive!
Which is a HIV/AIDS social service agency.
We've set up a program called
the facial reconstruction program.
Earlier medications that were used to treat HIV and AIDS
caused fat loss.
They would cause fat lipo-trophy, or lipodystrophy.
Which manifests itself as a hollowness.
Primarily in the mid-face area,
in the temples, down low.
People get that as they get older.
But with the HIV patient population it was a more acute,
and it's a more severe form of facial wasting.

- [Keith] You know you're living with a virus inside you,
a lot of your friends die, you've survived this thing,
and then it starts to appear on your face.
It starts to show.
And all of a sudden you look in the mirror
and you're seeing the actual disease itself.
At the time, I was acting and modeling.
My agent, I remember, he called me and he said,
you just got a call from
a casting director who wanted to know,
like, what's up with Keith?
He's not looking like he usually looks.
Is he sick, is something going on?
And that kind of started the end of like,
really the end of my career.
- [Robert] What we've done, we've put white cream,
and it's a numbing cream.
The numbing cream takes about 10, 15 minutes to work.
It will numb up topically.
I need to get the product into his face,
so for the first couple of injections,
it helps make it more comfortable for the patient.
- It became kind of a terminal death sentence automatically,
and there's no medications for it,
there's nothing to treat it,
and your own government has turned its back on you,
because it made it a gay disease.
It just sucked, because we were having to prove
that we were of value to live in the first place.
And the doctors had no cures
and there was no leads on anything.
And people were just dying left and right.
You were choosing which funeral
you had to go to on the weekend,
because you had to make a priority
of which person was more important to you.
- [Robert] This product is called Sculptra.
It's what's called the biologic filler.
It's a chemical that will stimulate
the body's natural production of collagen.
We're going to inject the patients
in the area that he, or she, needs.
And the patient will wait for about a month,
and they'll start to see the collagen grow.
And their face will be...
The volume lost will be replaced with collagen.
It lasts about one to two years.
- [Keith] I wasn't able to get a job.
I was having these symptoms.
It came to being alive.
Literally just put my arms out, stretched them straight out,
and I just started sobbing.
And I said somebody's got to help me.
And that's all I said.
They just put their arms around me, on both sides,
and just took me into the back,
just basically, just helping me with
whatever I needed and one those ended up being Sculptra.

- HIV is now what's called a chronic maintenance disease.
The patients now will continue to live
a long and healthy life,
a long and productive life.
It is a disease and it can change your life.
There's always hope.
Whether it's HIV, whether it's diabetes,
whether it's depression, there's hope.
Take your medication, talk to your doctors,
and most importantly, surround yourself with people.
Whether they have the same disease entity,
or something else, and reach your hand out and help them.
Nothing feels better than helping somebody else.
And that's what we're here for.
