Welcome to ReviewsPK!
My name is Ameer and today we have brought for you, our Google Chromecast Review
It is probably obvious from the title,
that Google Chromecast turns your Non-Smart TV
into a Smart TV.
But what does 'Smart TV' even mean?
A 'Smart' TV is a TV that can connect to the Internet,
Can run many different Apps,
Can download video and audio content from the internet,
and enables your computer, phone or tablet to cast
audio, video and in some cases even the screen of the device, wirelessly to the TV.
Lets now look at the price difference between Smart and Non-Smart TVs
When we compared the prices of a leading TV brand
We found that
Difference in price for 40" Smart and Non Smart TV was
Rs. 10,000 (USD 95)
Difference in price for 43" Smart and Non Smart TV was
Rs. 11,000 (USD 105)
and difference in price for 49" Smart and Non Smart TV was
Rs. 15,000 (USD 140)
As you increase the size of the TV,
difference in price will also increase.
Compared to this,
the price of Google Chromecast,
is between Rs. 4,250 (USD 40) and Rs 5,000 (USD 48).
If you are thinking of buying a large TV,
then our review today is for you.
And we have left links in the description for your convenience.
So lets now take a look at
Chromecast Specifications
In the box you will find a user manual,
A Micro USB cable,
1 Amp power adapter,
and the Chromecast device itself.
On the device, there is a Power/Reset Button,
A Micro USB port,
and an attached HDMI cable.
Overall build quality is good,
but there is an issue with this device...
The glossy finish is very nice to look at,
but picks up scratches very easily
due to which, the device starts to look old very quickly.
But since this device will mostly be behind the TV,
this is a minor issue.
One thing that we particularly liked was
that the device is very small in size
and because there is a magnet at the back,
its portability is very good
which makes this device useful for giving presentations.
Now lets talk about what you can actually do with this device.
Its most useful features is
that you can mirror the screen of your Windows or Mac Computer and Android devices.
In other words, you can wirelessly watch your computer or Android phone screen on your TV
Be mindful though,
that because this device works on your WiFi Network
There will be a slight lag,
because of which you may not be able to do any gaming
but you can browse the web, and see images and watch presentations
Please note that Google Chromecast does not support (natively) screen mirroring on iOS devices.
With Google Chromecast, you can also cast audios and videos stored on your phone.
Alongside this, apps in your phone such as YouTube and Netflix
can also stream content on your Chromecast device
In this case, Chromecast acts as a remote controller
When you cast any video from your app in your phone,
Chromecast directly downloads and plays that video from the internet.
Setting up your Chromecast is very easy
Download the Google Home app on your phone,
Switch on phone bluetooth
Click on 'Devices' icon
Click on 'Add Device'
Give your Chromecast a name
Now the app will require your WiFi network details
so that it can configure your Chromecast on your WiFi network
Be mindful that your phone and Chromecast device need to be on the same WiFi network.
Now you can enjoy your content on your Chromecast device
My friends and I personally really like Chromecast
At this price point,
so much functionality is very useful
With this device you can watch movies, browse websites on the big screen
and in a business setting, use it for presentations.
Furthermore, for 4K content, there is Chromecast Ultra
and for music there is Chromecast Audio.
If you already own a Smart TV,
even then this product is useful for you
because it is compatible with all devices
My Samsung Smart TV till date
has not made friends with my iPhone YouTube app
and typing on your Smart TV keyboard with your remote control is like torture.
Just be careful that
your experience will only be as good as
your WiFi network signal strength and your broadband speed
In our testing on an 8 Mbps connection
and with an average WiFi router
Performance was good.
This brings us to the end of our review
We hope you enjoyed it

10 BEST FREE Android Apps February 2017 + Wallpaper Pack - Duration: 5:20.
Hey, guys, it's me, Rahul, Hope you are having an awesome day, The links to this month's
wallpaper pack will be in the description, so yeah check it out.So without further ado,
Let's check out some new apps for android.
1.First one on the list is a small and simple application, but a really cool one.
The app is called screens.
Essentially what this app does is it can quickly open up two apps in split screen mode when
you tap on a shortcut.
Pretty neat application to have especially if you use split screen a lot.
Setting up the app is very easy . open screens app. select two apps that you want to use
in split screen mode then create a shortcut, That's it.
Now if you tap on that shortcut the apps that you have selected will open in split screen
mode.
2.ADW Launcher 2 is the next app that I have for you, This app was like the nova launcher
at the time when android was getting popular.
everyone was using it and developers kind of stopped updating the app.
Now they are back in action with the new version of their Launcher.
It has a ton of cool customization features and it also supports 3D touch feature, I'm
probably not gonna use it, but it is nice to have.I think ADW launcher is way better
than nova, it has way better features, But am I gonna switch to this, probably not now,
but eventually I will
3."Frame" is the wallpaper app of this month.I really like this UI , it is so easy to go,
through, So in this app, you have, photo of the day featured and popular sections.
Just a heads up, the photo that you see in this app are from "unsplash.com "so you will
see a lot of landscape pictures.
Anyhow, it is really nice wallpaper app to have.
4.
moving on to the next one, we have weather wiz, I have tried a couple of weather forecast
apps, and to be honest, I never really kept them, because I don't use these apps, that
often.
When I want to know something i just google it, simple as that.
The app that I'm currently showing you guys might have the best UI that I have seen in
a weather forecast app.
When you open the app you will see very basic information and if you want to know more just
swipe up, And I really like this notification widget thing, it is super cool and also you
can change the theme of this app as well.
5.
Cryptomator is a very simple app that you can use if you want to encrypt your data and
upload it to a cloud storage service.
Basically, this app will encrypt your data and upload it to the cloud, as an encrypted
file.which can only be decrypted using this app.
The app is easier to use that I thought.
First, you need to create a vault and select a cloud service, now there are only two options
dropbox and google drive, Select one and name the vault then select the location for the
new vault and type in the password, the password that you type now will act as a decryption
key for the files in this vault.
6.
Adobe photoshop fix is not a new app, but they have added some features here and there
recently, so that is why this app is on this list.
The annoying thing on each and every adobe app is that you have to have adobe id to use
an adobe app, I find it very annoying.
I know some people really like this features, but I'm not one of those people.
Anyway let's talk about the app, It is essentially a photo retouch app, made specifically for
retouching portraits, it don't have the world's best ui, it is really difficult to use this
app, but it does have some unique features, so if you find those features really appealing,
go ahead and download this app/
7.
Next one is Power Director, I already made a dedicated video about this app.
The main feature of this app is its ability to edit and export 4K videos in 4K quality.
The app is free to download, but you have to pay if you want to export videos in 4K
or even in fullHD.
Power director for android has very similar UI to its; PC counterpart, and most of the
basic tools such as trim, video layers, transform and other similar tools are in this app, so
overall it is a very good video editor for your phone.
8.Toontastic 3D is a new app from google and I would never use it again in my life.
The reason for that is it is made for kids only.
It is an app that is specifically made for kids if you are an adult you probably will
not enjoy this app.But at the same time, kids will love this app/game, using this app you
can create stories, like small creative stories using several characters and sets.
9.Next app that I'm going to be showing you is an app that I was really excited to try
out.Fingerprint quick action is really useful must have app..This app enables you to perform
quick actions such as expanding notification panel, taking a screenshot, launching an app
and so on by swiping and tapping on the fingerprint scanner of your phone.
10.
The last app on this list is tile extension for nougat, I don't know how many of you are
using android N, Anyway, if your device is running on android N then this is a must have
app.
This app gives you more tile options I guess, you can set quick action tiles for opening
up apps, enabling a custom sound/volume preset and things like that, Go check it out if you
are interested.

Google's latest doodle honors Fred Korematsu, the activist who fought against Japanese internment camps
Call it Google's first sub-doodle. In the week following President Trump's orders to build a border wall with Mexico and a ban of immigrants from seven predominately Muslim countries, Google's Doodle Monday celebrated Fred Korematsu, the civil rights activist who fought against Japanese internment camps in the US during World War II.
Korematsu would've been 98 on Monday. Korematsu filed a civil suit challenging the internment camps that went all the way to the Supreme Court. However, he lost the case. Decades later, the US apologized for the executive order that placed people of Japanese ancestry in internment camps. Eventually, some were compensated.
Google and its parent company Alphabet have had mixed dealings with the Trump administration so far. Before Trump's inauguration, Alphabet CEO Larry Page and chairman Eric Schmidt met with then president-elect Trump in the so-called "tech summit" in Trump tower. Schmidt met with Trump again a few weeks later.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai sent a memo to staff Friday that criticized Trump's executive order on immigration. "We're upset about the impact of this order and any proposals that could impose restrictions on Googlers and their families, or that could create barriers to bringing great talent to the US," Pichai wrote.
"It's painful to see the personal cost of this executive order on our colleagues," he added.

Interview with Ekin Ozenci, Mobile Product Specialist at Google - Duration: 2:57.
Native advertising to Google is this
component based advertising which means
you get elements and publishers style them
into native ads and we also talk about
native ads as being clearly attributed ads
that need to fit the function and the
form and the content of the site they're
showed on.
Native is important to Google because we think native
advertising will be the future of
advertising and it benefits
everyone in the ecosystem; the users the
publishers the advertisers.. And we need to
really reconnect with the users in the
advertising space otherwise we're all of
out of jobs.
Users benefit because they get a more engaging and more beautiful
flawless flow of advertising on the
sites or apps they use and for advertisers
this means they can get better
performance, better engagement out of the
ads they show plus for advertisers this
creates a sort of canvas where they
can work with the publishers together to
create you know good collaboration and
nice stories together. For publishers
obviously if everyone's happy it
means higher CPMs, better revenues and so on..
So Google as we always do with any sort of format
we want to make it into a scalable way
of buying.
We want to make sure publishers can
monetise programmatically as well as
with their direct sales.
I think publishers should really take
this responsibility of owning the styles
of the ads and what they should look like.
So they should put effort into the user
experience, what the design looks like,
does it fit with their content?
Does it give this good experience that
we're after to the users and this is
especially important for mobile because
we have such a small real estate
there's not much
space that they have to use it really
wisely to give good advertising and kill
ad blindness.
Mobile is the future and it was the future two years ago so I think
we've kind of gone past that so native
is a good way to grow mobile and think
about as I said the small real estate
the small screens we have and how we can
still give advertisers and the users this
sort of good connection they seek and also
to monetise the content that the
publishers are creating for everyone.
Mobile is the future.. is today
so we just need to keep that in mind and
look at mobile first designs and ways to
engage with everyone.

Schoology: Embed Google Slideshow (quick method) - Duration: 1:54.
To embed a Google slideshow first click
add materials and then add page then
you're going to have to give the page a
title i'll just call it welcome and then
inside the box you're going to click
click insert content go over towards
google drive then your google drive will
show up on the list check the box in
front of the item you would like to
embed this case it's a slideshow click
import and then choose import in bed now
we'll look like nothing really happened
there
however when you create it and you click
on the link so here's my welcome link
when I click on it I will see that that
slideshow has been embedded into my page
and it is an active slideshow so I could
put my learning goals here each day my
homework assignments things like that
and as a teacher if i click the gear i
can open it in the editor and then i can
edit and change things right there
I don't have to go to my google Drive
and find it so that's a nice shortcut
for you another tip is to click the gear
icon and edit the page you could do this
when you're creating at the first time
as well and then at the bottom click
this page icon so that it says display
inline save your changes and now what
will happen as students will see that
page without having to click into it
first so if i go back to my main section
of my course and scroll down to the
bottom where I put that you will see
that that page will display right there
and a lot of times teachers will put
this at the very top you can click and
drag this up to the top that can serve
as a nice inviting entry page for
students and they can see their daily
activities right away
