Welcome to Two Seat Sofa, where we talk about things on our couch!
I'm Robert, I'm Joey, and we're gonna talk about something.
Trump took the White House this year and he's doing a good job.
Oh shit... [laughter] woah...
I played Resident Evil and I still haven't beaten it and neither has PewDiePie, so I
guess that's good too.
Makes me a feel a little bit better.
I preordered a Nintendo Switch and here's why I'm not canceling it.
[laughter] So I bought a Nintendo Switch and I preordered it and I'm not gonna cancel it.
Joey think's I'm stupid, but here's why I'm not.
Go ahead.
So the Nintendo Switch dropped about two weeks ago, and here I am I went and preordered it
the day after, so yesterday some technical specifications came out and I'm still not
gonna cancel.
The technical specifications in my mind are that of the iPhone 4 when it first came out
and if they added a speech integrated software like Siri it would be like the 4s.
Yeah that's what he thinks, but I still think it's gonna be awesome.
We have a 720p screen resolution when you're on handheld mode and you have up to 1080p
60 frames per second when you're plugged in to the dock when you're on your TV.
I think it'll work, he thinks it's not.
Launch titles as of right now are 1-2-Switch, and you also have Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Personally, I think 1-2-Switch should've came bundled in, but it's not.
I would honestly preorder it if there was a Wii Sports Nintendo Switch Edition because
honestly that's the game that brought families together, yeah, everyone was like "Hey you
got a Wii?
Come on over we're all gonna play!"
"Let's play some Wii Sports!"
Grandma's boxing Grandpa!
Beat off Grandma???
If you want, yeah...
I think the 1 2 Switch was there attempt at making this it's not a bundle in game, you
have to buy it.
It's about $60, so I'm not too happy about that.
I don't think a lot of too many people are either, but we'll see how it goes.
I preordered the Nintendo and Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Oh you did?
Yeah I did.
Did that come with it?
I had to do it extra.
You preordered it, how much was the Switch?
The Switch is $299.
And the game was $60, so you spent..
I spent a lot of money.
No, but I mean you only put down so much I only put down $55.
I got it at GameStop.
That's the..
He thinks that's a mistake, personally I like GameStop.
I don't know I like them, it's my community, I know who they are, I don't like Best Buy I think they
suck.
I think the Best Buy in our hometown is a lot different than the Best Buys in other places of the
world.
He's right.
Because they suck, they don't really care about their customers.
Other Best Buys are like you hey you got a rewards receipt from your rewards zone, do
you wanna use them?
You have like 50 of them I didn't even know I had them because the Best Buy in our hometown
never freaking told us in our hometown.
We got some good stories from our Best Buy.
We will save those for later.
I'm sure going there multiple times we'll have even more.
Yeah, so that's where I'm at I got the Nintendo Switch we'll probably do an unboxing vid here
on March 3rd, but as of right now I'm just waiting and eagerly looking every night for
some sort of new news.
Last night we got some news, we got some specifications.
The screen on the device itself comes out to be a 720p LCD, capacitive touch screen
and you'll be able to get 1080p resolution when connected in to the video dock, when
it''s hooked up to your TV.
The system memory comes in 32 GB, this is also expandable, using a MicroSD card.
Those are going to be available up to about 1 to 2 TB, that's what rumor has it.
Battery life is about approximately 3 hours, we'll see how that goes.
I'm sure it's gonna vary from game to game.
I think during the event they said that Zelda: Breath of the Wild was going to be about
2 1/2 hours.
It's not too bad, especially when you're playing a full fledged open world game in the palm
of your hand, wherever you are.
I think it's pretty remarkable.
I actually think it's going to save the future of gaming.
I don't think we're gonna be sitting around on our couches too much longer.
I think as processing power gets higher and gets more portable, I think we're going to
be able to take our games outward.
We'll be able to show like the 3ds and take them wherever we are.
I know a lot of my fondest gaming experiences are out with my friends playing video games
together, not sitting alone on the couch.
I also think that Nintendo is really going to push for more open world games a lot of
the games that they showcased during their Nintendo Switch presentation, we had games
such as Skyrim, open world Mario, and we also had an open world Zelda.
Those are three open world games and they're actually pushed a lot though their presentation.
I hope that's going to set the trend for the Nintendo Switch.
Large open world games that you get to play with other people.
Yeah, you heard it here first, so if that happens.
I think to follow up with you said just really quick about open world, Pokemon GO kind of
showed that not only the open world concept, but getting up off your couch.
I think that if Niantic would've followed up, that month after it came out, and made
it the best game that it could've been we'd probably still be playing it or those 15 million
people who stopped playing it, would still be playing it today.
Yes, I completely agree and I know they just launched another game that I don't have the
name of right now.
It was another mobile game that Nintendo released with Pokemon.
We'll see how that goes.
I definitely think with Pokemon GO, getting more people outside, I think they could've
had it, it could've been a huge hit, and people could've still been playing it today, if they
would've kept updating and they supported the players a little more.
We'll there's still people playing it, but not as many.
In other gaming news, I got this.
It's scary as shit.
It's a lot of fun and what I've seen a lot of people talking about is it strays away
from what the franchise is known for in terms of the same characters doing the same crap.
I haven't finished it yet, so there might be some...I've seen the ending because I've
watched some stuff on YouTube.
I'm not gonna say too much...don't tell me!
From what I've been playing so far and I'm kind of following along where PewDiePie is
because I don't have that much time to play that much either, but I like it.
It scares the shit out of me.
It's a scary game a lot of the textures kind of remind me of like mayonnaise or like mashed
potatoes and I think that's really creepy the way how they did that.
A lot of the things have foody textures and I think it really goes on that really creepiness
of it.
It seems very organic and very real.
I like the textures that they did like the graphical sense of it.
It reminds me a lot of PT, which didn't actually get released.
The Silent Hill game that was a demo for a while on PS4.
It reminds me a lot of that.
It's very real creepiness stuff.
It feels like The Exorcist like it could happen and it feels like we could see it in a movie
or a TV show.
It seems very real and very creepy.
I really have enjoyed that, I haven't played the game myself I've only watched stuff on
YouTube.
We'll probably play it after this video.
It's been a lot of fun to watch and I know there's a big speed running community with
it.
I think it's awesome.
Yeah it's less than 2 hours.
I almost bought the VR just because of this game because I know a lot of people were picking
it up and we're doing it.
I know a lot of people were streaming it that way, so that would've been cool too.
I'm too much of a pussy to even put it on like that.
I don't think I'd do it either.
I get scared if I'm home alone by myself and I hear my cats throw themselves against the
door or something.
It's terrifying.
I like it and I would definitely recommend.

Energy Update Real-Time We Have Just Passed Through The Eye Of The Needle
by Anastacia, Australian Correspondent, In5D.com
Such a huge relief this morning after around 3 days and nights of our recent upgrade and
recalibration.
A corner has been turned now and while many still feeling exhaustedit is in a good
wayof coming through the other side of a raise in our frequency vibration.
Many can feel the definite passing through the eye of the needle has occurred such
relief.
Yet, we all pass through when we have each have completed what we have needed to.
This is oh so very big for many souls with those close to them.
As it is a gradual blending and integrating of the new for some.
This is you getting to the real YOU.
A sense of release and relief will be felt when one has accepted/shifted through to where
they are at now in this new energy frequency.
For others this may not be felt this way, again depending on what they are needing to
release from deep within, especially those who have suffered trauma and particularly
in earlier childhood years.
It can take time and a balancing of not being in an older space we were once in, especially
if we are close to others who are going through releasing or facing past trauma/hurt.
Of finding a very new way of being or managing of where they are now at, as to where others
are at.
This is bringing many to the real YOU within.the Inner Strength that is coming out in 2017,
in a way that is so core deep.
In a way that is so much easier, as to be the real YOU is effortless.
Yet many have lost this along the way due to so many things, situations and
experiences throughout their life.
I can assure you, that you are stronger!
That the very real YOU is so wanting to come up and out, shining through.
In a way, like never before.

Sunflower Seeds: Benefits - Duration: 3:17.
The health benefits of sunflower seeds
1.
Sunflower seeds are a fantastic source of vitamins and minerals, and are eaten by many
people as a health booster.
2.
They contain a wonderful amount of Vitamin E. This antioxidant destroys free radicals
in the body.
3.
This can lower the risk of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and colon cancer.
4.
They can be used to make sunflower seed milk, which is fantastic for vegans those who have
lactose intolerance and cannot drink dairy milk.
5.
The Vitamin E also reduces the effects of asthma, and prevents hot flashes during the
menopause.
6.
They also contain phytosterols.
These are compounds which lower cholesterol levels in the blood and boost immune response.
7.
If you are trying to lose weight, eating a handful of these can be very filling and will
help to prevent food cravings during a diet.
8.
Eating them regularly can prevent atherosclerosis.
This is where the arteries become hardened due to plaque.
9.
The healthy dose of magnesium in these kernels can also have a calming effect on the body,
and maintaining healthy bones.
10.
This also boosts energy levels and can prevent high blood pressure, muscle spasms, migraines
and fatigue.
11.
Selenium, a trace mineral found in sunflower seeds helps DNA to repair itself, potentially
preventing cancerous cells.
12.
You can eat them raw, as they have a nutty taste with a firm texture.
We recommend sprinkling these over a daily salad.
13.
They also contain good doses of copper, vitamin B1, B3, B6, manganese, phosphorus, potassium,
iron and folate.
14.
You may also find that eating these often, causes your skin to have a natural glow, also
protecting the skin from UV damage to some extent.
15.
If you suffer with acne or other skin problems, eating a balanced diet with healthy seeds
and nuts will help to heal your condition.
16.
The seeds are also cold pressed to create a healthy sunflower oil.
You can use this as an alternative in cooking to get similar benefits.
17.
They can be purchased all over the world, as they are some of the most popular seeds.
18.
Be sure to store these in the refrigerator in an airtight container so that they do not
spoil and lose their nutrient content.
Thank you very much for listening, a like is always appreciated and remember to subscribe

6 Startling Split Details You May Have Missed! (Nerdist News w/ Jessica Chobot) - Duration: 5:45.
- If you don't want spoilers, you better split.
Welcome to Nerdist News.
Oh my god, I just got it.
(laughs)
I just now got it!
(laughs)
(bleep) yeah.
Alright.
Of all the shocking twists director M. Night Shyamalan
has given us over the years, his new movie Split
might have given us the most shocking twist of all,
a freaking comeback, that is right, after a disappointing
decade spent Last Airbending and After Earthing,
Shyamalan has returned with a genuine hit.
Split just finished its second week in a row
at the top of the box office, putting it only a few days
away from crossing the $100 million line.
Super impressive for a thriller that cost
less than 10 million to produce,
released in the dredges of early January,
especially from a guy whose career everyone thought
was deader than Bruce Willis at the end of Sixth Sense.
Oops, spoilers for any of you watching this in 1999.
- Hey! - That's enough time, right?
Whatever, you ruined this for me by two weeks.
But as for slightly more current spoilers,
there's no denying that Split's continued stay
at the top of the box office is thanks in part
to the buzz it's been generating from its surprise ending.
And if you don't want to know about that surprise ending,
now would be a great time to turn away.
Okay, peace, bye guys.
Just kidding.
(sighs)
Alright, so now that the kids are out of the room,
as we all know from last week's lesson,
Split is actually an undercover sequel
to one of Shyamalan's most beloved films,
the working-class superhero saga, Unbreakable.
But really, how much of a secret is it?
Was Split's sequel status obvious to anyone
who was really paying attention?
Well not really, for most of the film,
Shyamalan is focused on telling the story of Kevin
Wendell Crumb and his 24 warring personalities.
He even said in interviews he didn't want
the Unbreakable allusions to overshadow the main plot,
so any hints about it were kept very very slight.
But they were still there, and going back,
they became a whole lot more obvious upon a second viewing.
Starting with the very titles of the films themselves,
Split and Unbreakable are direct opposites of each other.
Maybe it didn't stick out because no one really
had Unbreakable on the mind these days,
but if Split had been a direct follow-up to Unbreakable,
chances are the title would have raised a few more eyebrows.
Plus, the movie's titles weren't the only way
to guess the connection without actually going to see it.
Their posters also give it away.
Both the Unbreakable poster and the Split poster
feature a shattered-glass motif,
and if you put the posters side by side,
you'll see the glass cracks in each actually line up.
Holy crap.
Should we be doing this will all movie posters now?
Someone get me the A Dog's Purpose poster
and the Marley & Me poster, I have to know
if all dog movies take place in the same universe.
That would be, what if we were being trolled
this whole time by dog movies?
Oh my god.
Anyways, as for hints in the actual film,
there aren't a ton but they are there,
and one of them is actually kind of glaring.
Throughout the film, we're told that Kevin is special
because he's broken, and in the end,
that brokenness is what gives him the power
to transform into the Horde.
Now, a dude who gets his power from his brokenness
sure seems like the ideal ideological counterpoint
and maybe even arch nemesis for a dude
whose superpower is being, say it with me guys, Unbreakable.
There's even an argument to be made that Kevin
and Mr. Glass, the super villain played by Samuel L. Jackson
in Unbreakable act as a counterpoint to each other.
Glass is a man with a brilliant mind
but a physically deteriorated body,
and Kevin is a man with a shattered mind
but a physically evolved body, and together,
they're going to make a pretty formidable rogues gallery
for David Dunn when Unbreakable 2 starts shooting.
And while we're talking about David Dunn, there are also
a few parallels you can pull out between him and Kevin.
For one thing, both of their names are beholden
to old-school comic book naming cliches.
15 years ago, when Unbreakable came out,
Shyamalan said he named the character David Dunn
because so many of his favorite superheroes
had names that were alliterative.
Clark Kent, Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, Scott Summers,
the list goes on and on, and sure enough,
Kevin Crumb fits into the pattern.
But even more interesting is the link between their origins.
David discovers he's unbreakable after being the sole
survivor of a horrific accident,
Kevin Wendell Crumb transforms into the Beast
at the site of a traumatic childhood experience.
The connection?
Both of them take place on trains.
Now David's origin moment was a big spectacular train wreck
while Kevin's was in an empty, unmoving car,
but the connection is clear, both of these guys
developed their super-identities by overcoming trauma.
David's was physical and Kevin's was mental,
which makes sense for each of their respective characters.
But, like all the best superhero slash villain
combos throughout history,
their origins act as reflections of each other.
Of course, these small connections
are gonna get much bigger.
Shyamalan has said he for sure wants to make a sequel
that will have Unbreakable and the Horde going toe to toe
and with Split's continued success at the box office,
it's hard to imagine it won't come to pass very soon.
But until then, let us know if there are even
more Easter eggs that we may have missed
and how excited are you guys for the unavoidable
Shyamalan-vengers Twist-finity wars?
And do A Dog's Purpose and Marley & Me
take place in the same universe.
I mean, both universes have dogs, it makes total sense.
Anyway, let's discuss.
Oh my god.

How Much Power Do Women In China Have? - Duration: 3:11.
China's highest ring of leadership in the Communist Party has never included a woman.
And yet, one of China's most famous leaders, responsible for some of its biggest advances
in religion and social class welfare, was actually the country's only female ruler:
Wu Zetian.
In both her climb to the top, and subsequent leadership, Wu was known for her ruthless
and brutal methods.
She used a secret police force and executed many high ranking members of government; even
large portions of her own family.
She also elevated Buddhism over Taoism and emphasized education during her rule.
But since her reign in the 7th century, no female has unilaterally ruled over China.
Still, numerous cultural institutions minimizing or harming women have been ended.
For example foot-binding, which was the practice of tightly binding women's feet so that
they appeared smaller, was outlawed in the early 20th century.
And in 2016 the country's one-child only policy finally ended.
This policy explicitly favored male children over female, and may have contributed to a
significant imbalance of men and women in China.
The one-child only policy was partially the result of Communist Party social planning,
and while ultimately disastrous for women, other Communist policies have seen mixed results.
For example, labor rates in the country are exceptionally high, with the rate of women
in the workforce nearly as high as it is for men.
On the other hand, China has one of the worst wage gaps worldwide, with women making about
65% of what men make.
Additionally, women comprise almost exactly half of tertiary education students and graduates,
a huge increase from previous decades.
But even this improvement in educational standard has rippling cultural effects.
Educated women are less likely to be married, and on average wait longer for marriage, as
it is culturally accepted that men be more educated than women.
And this is a problem, because older women in China are seen as "unmarriageable",
and shunned in society.
Even the country's Ministry of Education defines unmarried women over 27 as Leftover
Women and the government has allegedly encouraged the term, specifically to shun these women.
On the other hand, the government has also improved marriage laws, most significantly
in 2001.
The new "Marriage Law" removed many restrictions for divorce, giving women more power; for
example, making infidelity a legitimate reason for divorce.
These efforts have led to a shifting culture in China.
One where although women are not in high positions of government, they may well be again, this
time without murdering their opposition, as Wu Zetian did.
One shining hope is the country's Vice Premier, Liu Yandong, one of only two women in the
entire Politburo, and the country's highest ranked female politician.
Liu oversees health, education, and athletics for China.
Many believe that she may ultimately end up joining the inner circle of the highest committee
in government, making her the first ever female member, and giving a voice to women from the
most important decision making group.
If this does, indeed, occur, it will show China's dedication to righting many of its
wrongs against women.
After 35 years, China loosened its one-child policy.
So how has the policy impacted the nation's population after all this time?
Find out by watching our video here.
Women are often pressured into having abortions if pregnant with a second child as the penalty
ranges from a fine to even losing your job.
In 2013, China's health ministry revealed that more than 300 million abortions had been
performed to maintain the one-child policy.

Insomnia patients have higher risk of dying from cardiovascular diseases - Duration: 1:32.
Korean researchers have found that insomnia patients are eight times more likely to die
from cardiovascular diseases than those who do not suffer from sleeping disorder.
Kim Hyo-sun reports.
37-year-old Han Man-hee has been suffering from insomnia since 2001,... and has trouble
sleeping especially on days when he's been stressed out.
"I have difficulty going to sleep, especially when there is noise or light."
Studies show that insomnia increases the risk of death from cardiovascular conditions including
heart attacks.
After studying more than 4-thousand patients over the past 15 years, a research team at
Seoul National University Hospital has confirmed that insomnia patients were 8-point-1 times
more likely to die from cardiovascular diseases than those without a sleeping disorder.
Because insomnia patients find it hard to sleep deeply, their blood pressure and sympathetic
nervous system activity levels remain abnormally high.
Excessive stress and over-consumption of caffeine and alcohol are pointed to as major causes
of insomnia.
While some patients are prescribed sleeping pills, they're urged to avoid forming a habit
because of the risk of addiction.

Does Your Attorney Have the Experience to Win a Case? - Duration: 5:16.
Whenever I meet with a new client I know there's always a question that's hanging in the
air that needs to be answered and that question is why should I hire you?
And I always think back to 37 years ago when I was a 28-year-old lawyer and I went out
on my own and set up an office with three files and a part-time secretary.
And I would be asked that question you know, "well Eric Lanigan why should I hire you?"
And I didn't say this but I remember thinking to myself, "I have no earthly idea why you
would hire me.
I'm 28 years old, I don't have any experience and I'm not sure I even know what I'm
doing."
Now of course I never said that.
And fortunately for me today that is not the answer because I think what's important
to a client that I can effectively say today with all honestly and not a hidden answer
and that is that what we bring to the table is experience.
I've been in practice for 40 years.
My son Roddy has been in practice for 10 years and working with me throughout that period
of time.
In that 40 years I've seen every kind of case that I've handled in different stages
of my life: criminal cases and family law cases -- neither one of which I practice now--but
it was a great experience and a learning experience, not only about law but about people and about
judges.
But I think more important that experience is an attribute that I always felt like was
the number one thing that I found in successful lawyers.
And it wasn't necessarily experience.
It wasn't necessarily a genius IQ but it came down to one thing: perseverance.
Was somebody prepared to relentlessly pursue the case?
And by relentlessly pursue it I mean it's the same if you're in your office in the
middle of the day or you're shaving at 6 o'clock in the morning, thinking about different
cases and what's going on in those cases.
It's a relentless never letting go of trying to reach a successful conclusion.
Another attribute that I think is critical that I think I've developed, tried to develop
and hone over time is practicality.
I'm convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt clients are not interested in whether you
won this hearing or that hearing or how did you out maneuver somebody as to trivial matters.
What they want to know is am I going to prevail in my case?
Am I going to be successful?
Is the case going to be successfully prosecuted?
Is it going to be successfully defended?
Am I going to know all the pros and cons of my case?
Am I going to have somebody who's not afraid to sit down and say to me there's a real
problem in your case and here's what it is and here's how we have to deal with it.
I've been sitting in courtrooms before where I looked at the client -- my opponent's
client -- and I literally remember a case where I looked at the guy and I thought, "does
that guy have any idea of what's happening to him right now?"
Because he just sat there like a deer in the headlights.
And in my mind anyway the ultimate conclusion of this case was painfully obvious.
And luckily for me it was painfully obvious in my favor.
And that result ultimately occurred and I remember looking at my adversary's client
sitting over there completely befuddled and I realized the reality was he had just never
been really effectively told the real pros and cons of his case.
And so when the when the anvil fell he was in a state of total shock.
And that was one of those lessons that I learned that yes it was very nice to win but the main
thing I learned out of that case which was some 20 years ago was don't ever let your
client be in that situation.
Whether you're on the winning side or the losing side don't ever be there when you
look over at your client and you realize they have no idea what just happened or why.
And that's one of the most important things a lawyer can do sometimes is convey bad news.
And I'm glad to say that there's one thing that I've I've learned over the years
is it's sort of like as one lawyer told me one time he said, "Bad news is just like
that rotting fish.
It's never going to get better it's only going to get worse."
So get it out there and effectively deal with it.

5 Scariest Serial Killers Have Never Been Caught, And They Could Be In A Town Near You. - Duration: 9:48.
These 5 Serial Killers Have Never Been Caught, And They Could Be In A Town Near You.
When we think about serial killers we think about the depraved and horrific acts they
performed on people.
But, even more than that, we like to think they have been caught and are no longer able
to hurt members of the public.
But what if there are serial killers still on the loose?
Another Ted Bundy or Jeffrey Dahmer that are on a killing spree and haven't been caught?
These killers get to keep on finding and tracking down their next victim, free to satisfy their
blood lust, without the police having a clue.
Here are five bone chilling cases of brutal serial murders that have been carried out,
but those responsible have never been caught.
And they could kill again.
5.
The Jennings Murders.
8 Victims.
In a small town called Jennings Louisiana the bodies of 8 young women were found between
the years 2005-2009, leaving the small town wondering, who in their community could be
evil enough to commit murder.
Found discarded by roadsides and half immersed in canals, the bodies had been thrown away
as if they meant nothing.
The act of a serial killer?
Possibly, but factually serial killers tend to pick victims that have no connection to
them.
All of these 8 women knew each other personally, some were even cousins, and all were involved
with drugs and prostitution.
Police corruption has been linked to the unsolved crimes, many saying it might have been a police
officer that committed the murders.
Eerily enough a few of the girls had the feeling they were going to be killed, and had spoken
out to family members.
In her final days, one of the eight named Necole Guillory told her mother not to prepare
her a birthday cake because she wouldn't be alive to eat it.
She had also placed her four children with family members and warned her mother that
she wouldn't tell her any information on who was making her so paranoid because she
wanted to keep her safe.
Fifth victim Laconia "Muggy" Brown told her sister she was helping a cop to solve
a murder, and he had offered her money for information.
She also ended up dead not long after.
So could it be a serial killer, murdering accessible young women for fun?
Or could it be the young girls knew too much about a corrupt police state, and their killer
was actually someone in a position of trust that was meant to protect them?
4.
The Long Island Killer.
10 or more victims.
To understand the case of the Long Island killer, you have to look at his last known
possible victim, Shannon Gilbert.
An escort, she had gone to visit a client in the area in December 2010.
Her driver who accompanied her to her jobs drove her to the clients address in the early
hours of the morning.
While in this clients house something happened to terrify her, she even made a frantic call
to 911, and ran out of the house, running to a neighbor and banging on the door at around
5am.
This neighbor also called police and said Shannon was hidden under a boat he owned,
and that she seemed terrified.
He also told police he saw a man driving a black SUV and that the man driving the car,
was probably who Shannon was trying to escape from.
And then, she vanished.
Her family begged police to search for her, and when they began to search the area, no-one
was prepared for the horrors they would find in the sands on Gilgo beach.
The bodies of four missing escorts, all of which had advertised themselves on Craigslist,
were found in December 2010.
The media dubbed the serial killer 'The Craigslist Ripper'.
Six more bodies were found in March and April 2011, police say these victims actually predated
the previous four found, and they were most likely to have been killed by the same person,
now named 'The Long beach Killer'.
Only one victim was formally identified out of the six as Jessica Taylor, who had been
severely mutilated and dismembered.
Shannon's remains were found in 2011, but police say her death was not linked to the
other victims, but that the search for her lead them to discover the other bodies.
Who is the mystery killer?
There are ten victims that police have linked together as his victims, but since the gruesome
discoveries there have been at least another six murders that police believe could be linked
to the Long Island Killer.
So it looks like he remains active, at large, and still has murder on his mind.
3.
West Mesa Murders.
12 victims.
A woman was out walking her dog in 2009 when she saw something she thought looked suspicious
sticking out of the ground in West Mesa, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She rang police who discovered it was a human bone.
After further investigation, the area contained the remains of 11 women and 1 fetus.
All had been murdered and buried in shallow graves.
All the women had gone missing between 2002-2005, but were not discovered until four years later.
The makeshift graveyard meant the serial killer was given the name 'The Bone Collector".
Chillingly, in December 2010 police released pictures they had received of other women
they wished to identify who could have been linked to the West Mesa killer.
The women appeared to be unconscious in the photographs and the police refused to divulge
where the pictures had come from.
Were the photographs handed to them by the killer?
Was he playing a game of cat and mouse?
Police in the area have been reluctant to say if the killer is in prison for another
crime, dead or still at large.
So which is it?
I bet all the people of New Mexico are praying for anything but the latter.
2.
Smiley Face Killer.
200+ victims.
Due to the sheer amount of victims, many are skeptical that the Smiley face killer exists,
and think of it as an urban legend.
But, the horrifying truth is that young men from all over the USA have all died in the
same circumstances.
Leading some experts to believe there isn't just one killer, but a gang of killers all
working together to commit murder.
Two retired police officers wouldn't believe that over 200 young men, none of which were
known to be suicidal, all popular, enjoyed sports, good at school, could all just die
by accidental drowning.
They believe they can link at least 40 drownings in 25 cities in 10 separate states in America.
Further investigation has now proved that many of the scenes could be linked, by a drawing
of a small smiley face left somewhere near where some of the young men's bodies were
found.
The killers also left clues as to where next victims could be found.
The word 'Sinsinawa' was found written on a wall near to where one mans body had been
washed up.
Weeks later, another unfortunate young man's body was found, hundreds of miles away.
The police believed the young man had been out into the water at Sinsinawa Ave.
1.
Highway Serial Killer.
450+ victims.
Each red dot on the picture is sadly a victim of 'The Highway Serial Killer', and the numbers
are growing.
The FBI has stated that this isn't just one killer, but a network of killers who use the
highways to murder and run.
The profile of the murderers tends to be truck drivers, or people who need to use the highway
frequently due to their job.
This means they don't stay in one place for too long.
Which makes the killers harder to track.
Most of the victims have high risk lifestyles, such as prostitution and drug use, which means
they are less likely to have a fixed place to live, making it harder for people to realize
they are missing.
They also move around a lot, and with less stability, sadly, it is easier for someone
to fall of the radar more easily.
One highway in-particular gained notoriety for the amount of victims, and was named the
'highway of tears.'
A 500 mile stretch of road along Highway 16 between Prince George and Prince Rupert, British
Columbia, Canada has been the place where 16 women have been murdered between 1969-2006,
and that's only counting the victims that were found.
Up to 43 families have claimed they have lost a family member along that strip of road.
Police have suspects, but are doubtful they will ever be able to convict the killers of
each of the women.
Police and local people strongly suggest not to hitch-hike, you can never be sure who's
car you might be getting into.
And if you live in any of these towns or cities, or even if you don't, always remember to take
extra precautions to keep yourself safe, always let a person you trust know where you are
at all times.
NEVER walk in dimly lit areas and carry a mobile phone to ring the police if you find
yourself in an emergency situation.
So why has the killer been leaving these subtle clues?
And will the police ever catch up to the killer, or killers?
Drowning makes it almost impossible as evidence gets washed away, and the body moves away
from the area it entered the water, also meaning evidence gets lost.
So it remains a mystery.
A mystery that has claimed the lives of over 200 young men so far.
