Ukwon: "How your chemistry with Eunha ?"
What is the definition of chemistry?
It means you guys get along together well
Something like synergy.
I think only fans can tell us that.
Can I give you a suprise quiz?
Park Boram vs Eunha? 1, 2,3.
Eunha!
Boram is already my past.
Boram is over.
You just abandon her like this.
It's already been 8 months.
I only care about Eunha now.
I was joking.I really like Boram.
But Eunha is so sweet, so polite and so cute.
Can I say something dangerous?
No, you can't.
When Kyung was recording "Ordinary Love".he just talked about how well the recording went.
But this time, he just talking about how cute and sweet she is.
So he had feelings?
I can't tell for sure, but he said the music was lovely.
I have to make this clear.
Apart from music alone,
he said Eunha is cute.
So I asked, "Is it so ? How did your song turn out?"
And he said "You know, the song is great,
but Eunha is so cute.
I think he's nervous now.
Here comes the classic Park Kyung...
Busted~
I'm speaking as an idol member of Korea...
He avoiding it! (P.O sound really cute..haha)
Eunha is actually really cute.
I mean not as girl,
she 's so young , like from 1997.
But her voice so cute when she recording.
As you will hear in the song, there's line "All men are alike".
When she sings that part, she does with her short-tongou pronunciation.
That was just so cute.
So she made your heart beat faster.
She's just so cute.
So, all our BBC (their fandom) and Buddy, dont get this wrong, though
And there's a manager who always glares at her whatever she does.
Jealousy.
Choose between "BBC or Eunha"
This is too easy.
Why ask that.
BBC
It would be funny if he said Eunha.
Then his rank will drop.
Kyung is really stressed about rankings.
How did you know Eunha?
I made a song.
I didn't decide on Eunha when I made it.
I just finished it and thought about who would be right for this.
then "Rough" was playing on the streets.
And I happened to hear her voice.
Its destiny.
Then what about sing Eunha part?
This was Eunha part.
I searched about her and she sang so well.
Also, she is from the same vocal academy as TAEIL.
Right.
It was destined.
I think I have saw her. I remember seeing her.
He is showing off again.
I have good memory.
At the vocal academy.
Ah~
Why am I sweating so much.
So I asked her.
I asked her to listen to the song. Thank you for accepting it.
Sing Eunha part~
Just like how Eunha sings it.
I will sing Eunha verse in B part.
You sound professional. Eunha verse in B part~
(Singing Inferior Complex)
Wow~ Its good.
It ends with "Stop being timid"!
It did sound cute if a female vocal sings it.
Right. The melody matches so well with Eunha voice.

John MacArthur: If you are concerned about your lack of assurance, that is a good thing. - Duration: 5:26.
PERHAPS THIS WILL HELP YOU. IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH
ASSURANCE. HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM SAVED IF I HAVE BLASPHEMOUS
THOUGHTS. SHOULD I BE TAKING COMMUNION IF I AM NOT SURE IF I
AM SAVED, IF I AM NOT CHOSEN, WOULD I EVEN CARE ABOUT BEING
SAVED? REALLY GOOD QUESTIONS, JOY. YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL NAME,
BUT SOMETIMES IT'S HARD TO LIVE UP TO ISN'T IT? I MEAN HOW WOULD
YOU LIKE TO BE NAMED JOY AND HAVE TO ALWAYS BE ASSUMED TO BE
POSSESSING ALL OF THAT. I CAN HEAR THE CRY OF YOUR HEART, JOY.
I WANT TO MAKE IT AS SIMPLE AS I CAN. THE FACT THAT YOU ARE
ASKING THESE QUESTIONS, IS EVIDENCE OF THE WORK OF GOD IN
YOUR HEART. IT IS EVIDENCE OF YOUR DESIRE FOR HIM AND FOR
SALVATION AND TO KNOW HIM. THAT IS EVIDENT THERE. THE FACT THAT
YOU WOULD STAND UP IN FRONT OF ALL OF US AND UN BEAR YOUR HEART
IN SUCH A SWEET AND HONEST WAY IS EVIDENCE OF THE HUNGER OF
YOUR HEART TO KNOW HIM AND I THINK THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE
ESSENTIALLY SAYING. THE WAY THAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE SAVED IS
BY YOUR DESIRE. DO YOU DESIRE TO KNOW GOD. YES. DO YOU
DESIRE THAT HE WOULD KNOW YOU AND LOVE YOU? YES DO YOU
DESIRE TO LOVE HIM? YES. DO YOU DESIRE TO HONOR HIM?
YES. DO YOU DESIRE TO OBEY HIS WORD? I DO, BUT I, I
CAN'T DO IT ON MY OWN STRENGTH. WELL OF COURSE NOT, JOIN THE
CLUB. THAT'S WHY WE'RE ALL HERE. THIS IS THE SAME WITH ALL OF US.
IT'S ALL OF GRACE ISN'T IT. IT'S ALL OF GRACE. AW MAN, SO
PASTORAL. ARE YOU LIKE JOY, LACKING ASSURANCE. DON'T BE
TRIPPED UP BY THE SIN IN YOUR LIFE. SIMUL JUSTUS ET PECCATOR,
WE ARE SIMULTANEOUSLY JUSTIFIED. WHEN YOU REPENT AND PUT YOUR
TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST, YOU ARE HIS AND ALL OF YOUR SINS ARE
CAST INTO THE SEA OF FORGETFULNESS AND THERE'S
NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO CHANGE THAT. EVEN WHEN YOU SIN. WE ARE
SIMULTANEOUSLY JUSTIFIED, YET SINNING. WHY? BECAUSE WE'RE NOT
YET GLORIFIED. NOW IF'N YOUR LIFE IS NOTHING BUT SIN, TODAY I
RISE, TO SIN, AND YOU CARRY IT OUT AND YOU GO TO BED AND YOU
WAKE UP, WASH, RINSE REPEAT, YOU GOT A BIG PROBLEM. I JOHN 3:8
AND 9 SAYS YOU'RE OF THE DEVIL. BUT IF YOU ARE HATING SIN,
BATTLING SIN, AN UNBELIEVER, A FALSE CONVERT NEVER FEELS THAT
WAY, SO WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT THAT SIN, DON'T USE IT AS THE
THING THAT DISQUALIFIES YOU, BUT WHEN YOU REMEMBER HOW MUCH YOU
HATE YOUR SIN, THAT SHOULD ACTUALLY ENCOURAGE YOU AND
ASSURE YOU. YOU DON'T WANT TO EVALUATE THE CHARACTER OF YOUR
SALVATION BY YOUR FAILURES. YOU WANT TO ASSESS THE GENUINENESS
OF YOUR SALVATION BY YOUR DESIRES, BY WHAT YOU LOVE, WHAT
YOU LONG FOR, WHAT YOU WANT AND YOU'RE HERE AND THAT SAYS
EVERYTHING. THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR PEOPLE RUNNING FROM GOD.
THIS IS A PLACE FOR PEOPLE RUNNING TO HIM. BUT ASKING THE
QUESTION IS IMPORTANT. THE PUREST JOY TO KIND OF PLAY ON
YOUR NAME A LITTLE BIT, THE PUREST JOY IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
COMES WHEN WE ARE OBEYING HIM, LOVING HIM, SERVING HIM,
WORSHIPING HIM. THAT'S WHEN WE ENJOY THE MOST ASSURANCE.
SECURITY IS ONE THING, SECURITY MEANS THAT I AM SAVED AND HE
WILL KEEP ME UNTIL I SEE HIM FACE TO FACE, I'M SECURE IN HIM.
THAT'S NOT ASSURANCE. ASSURANCE IS THE CONFIDENCE I HAVE IN MY
MIND OF MY SALVATION. MANY PEOPLE ARE SAVED, THEY'RE
SECURED BY GOD IN THAT SALVATION BUT THEY DON'T ALWAYS HAVE THE
ASSURANCE. WHY DO WE STRUGGLE WITH ASSURANCE, BECAUSE WE KNOW
OUR WEAKNESS, BECAUSE WE KNOT OUR TEMPTATIONS, BECAUSE WE KNOW
WE ARE NOT WHAT WE OUGHT TO BE, SOMETIMES BECAUSE WE FALL INTO A
PATTERN OF SIN AND WE LOSE OUR ASSURANCE, SOMETIMES BECAUSE
PERHAPS WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT WRONGLY THAT YOU MIGHT DO
SOMETHING TO CAUSE YOU TO LOSE YOUR SALVATION AND THAT
GENERATES A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF FEAR BUT TO GO BACK TO THE MAIN
POINT, THE VERY DESIRE OF YOUR HEART IS THE EVIDENCE OF THE
WORK OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE BECAUSE UNREGENERATE ENEMIES OF GOD DO
NOT HAVE THOSE DESIRES.

Vega Squadron CEO speaks about Dota 2 team (English subs) - Duration: 5:49.
When we were making a team the initial idea was to gather a team of people that want to work hard.
Sonneiko's and G's ideas on this topic were the same with ours. Combine that with their skill level and experience and you get this roster.
Both G and Sonneiko were eager to join the team that prioritizes not financial conditions but the team of hard-working people. This is what matters for them.
If we judge from old interviews and what community thinkgs, Sergey "G" Bragin is a person who likes attention, he demands a team that plays for him.
But as it turned out, he's a teamworking person and the guys are really united. There are no such cases when he stays on mid and everyone has to run around him.
What I really liked in G is that he's the person to initiate discussions about matches that have been played. This is what we really lacked in our previous roster.
It's very positive for the team.
I haven't spoken with Ditya Ra, we haven't gathered for bootcamps just yet. When you speak to someone in person or in teamspeak these are whole different stories.
I wouldn't say he's a very private person. We didn't touch personal issues or businesses, it was mostly about games.
There are no people in the team that are not open. Everyone's ready for discussion, they offer stuff, think of something new and speak about it.
Our latest results in official games may not really be inspiring for our fans, but be assured - it's not as bad as it seems.
The team is working, they have a coach now, can't call his name, he's on testing period - he tried working with us, we try working with him. We'll see how it goes.
Team has an analyst as well, so they have everything they need to improve and the progress is already there.
If we look at the games after the New Year, like 3 weeks ago or a month, our CW's were awful. Now it keeps getting better and better on a steady pace.
Our main aim for now is going to Kiev Major. We might not look good on Starladder, there could be defeats as this is not what we are aiming for. Not Starladder, not DAC, but Major.
So we move to this bit by bit. We could have losses, this is part of the job.
I'm trying to host all the practice sessions with my team myself. I don't have much time, but I do my best. Yesterday we were speaking about the games with Cloud9.
First of all, the picks were bad, they picked what they haven't played before.
There was an idea during drafting to pick a certain hero, team decided to go with it, give it a try, but there wasn't any practice behind it.
And yesterday after the games we were trying to find out how did it happen and what has to be done for this not to happen ever again.
There have to be certain drafts without unnecessary improvisation, this is not what we need.
What goes to our games with Liquid, this looked more like what I see on cw's. Picks were ours, game was ours. If it was bo3, I believe it could be a tough one. Who knows who would win.
Despite prioritizing Kiev Major, we will still try our best on SL and DAC qualifiers. It doesn't mean we consider these tournaments secondary or something.
We will put our souls in it, as professionals. Moreover, after DAC qualifiers team will most likely have a bootcamp. It's not decided when yet.
We might try innovations there with the help of professional psychologist, this is what we haven't tried before.
Thanks to everyone who still believes in our team, we'll do our utmost best to not disappoint you. Only Vega, only victory.

MYTHS about Language Learning - Duration: 7:04.
Hi there, Vladimir here, with another video on how to learn English
The amount of time and money people waste because of bad advice or false beliefs is staggering
There are so many myths about learning a foreign language
It's what I talk about in the first chapter of my book Virtually Native
All those myths cloud your mind, waste your time and ultimately kill your motivation.
We need to dispel them in order to clear your mind, so you can focus on what really works
in terms of learning a foreign language
Let's dive right in.
Myth #1 Practice makes perfect
It's not just about quantity, it's also about quality
Study Hard vs Study Smart
It's about not wasting time doing things that are ineffective
please watch my video about Effective vs Efficient language learners
Myth #2 Too old to learn, The age myth
They say that it is very hard and even impossible to learn a foreign language past a certain age
past puberty
There is truth and untruth in this belief
I talk a lot in my book about age and the limitations of age
The gist of it is
acquiring a foreign language has 3 main aspects pronunciation accuracy fluency
In my experience age only matters for pronunciation accent
There are no limits on fluency and accuracy
I'm the proof
Myth #3 You need to have Talent for Languages
The language gene, does it exist, is it a myth?
how much is genetics and how much is hard work?
I guess we'll never know for the simple reason that it's very hard, even impossible
to draw a line between hard work and talent
The main thing is that it's not an excuse, it's like saying that
God doesn't want you to learn English
It doesn't make any sense
Myth #4 Better go abroad, the only way to be fluent in a foreign language is
to live in the country where it is spoken
No, that's not true I am a living proof of that
I learned English outside an English speaking country
and I've been living in Japan for over 12 years
and my Japanese is not even half as good as my English
In all fairness, the belief that studying in the country where the language is spoken
was kind of true until very recently, before the invention of this thing called
the Internet
In the pre-Internet era there was very limited access to foreign books, radio, TV and movies
one really benefited from living abroad
But today it makes virtually no difference where you live and especially with regard to English
Myth #5 Native speakers = the best language teachers
The myth is in the equal sign.
Many learners equate the term native speaker with the term the best language teacher
This myth is something I am quite passionate about, it is the subtitle of my book
by a non-native for the non-native
Okay, let me say just this
Knowing something and teaching something are 2 very distinct, separate areas of expertise
Teaching a language is so much more than just being a human dictionary
Please watch my video on native vs non-native language teachers
Myth #6 It's okay to make mistakes
And this is something native language teachers say all the time
No, mistakes are not okay
There is a difference between something being inevitable and okay
We are bound to make mistakes but it doesn't mean that they are okay
Myth #7 Strong motivation is essential
Strong motivation is the most important factor in language learning success.
Of course, motivation is important
We need motivation
We need motivation to exercise, to go to work, to go to school, we need motivation
to breathe and live
We need motivation for everything
The problem with strong motivation is that if you are not using the right method
you will fail to get results and you will most likely lose your motivation.
On the other hand, you might get good results even with low motivation
as long as you are using the right method
You need a bit of motivation, no doubt about that, but what you also need
is a smart way of learning
I believe that successful learning can actually increase motivation
In other words, motivation helps learning, but successful learning can also improve and strengthen motivation
do you really need motivation to learn English?
at least a little bit of English
Do people really need convincing, need a reason to learn to speak the only true global language?
Myth #8 Understanding is Everything and Memorization is Bad
This is one of the biggest myths about foreign language acquisition
Destroying it is central to my method of smart learning
It's something I talk a lot in my book Virtually Native
Save yourself time and money and read my book which is available on virtuallynative.com and Amazon

HOW MUCH IS IT?
MAYOR WARREN: $4000.
ED: 3 FOR 4.
JANET: "JUST GAVE ITSELF A PAY

MAYOR WARREN: BAD IDEA.
BAD PROCESS.

JANET: THE GOVERNOR DELIVERED

HE SAID THERE IS NEED FOR MORE

HE SAYS IT DOESN'T DO ANY GOOD
TO STAND IN A CORNER AND SHOUT
INSULTS.
IS HE RIGHT?
MAYOR WARREN: OF COURSE.
JANET: IF YOU RUN, WILL YOU
STICK WITH THAT PHILOSOPHY AND
NOT DO PERSONAL ATTACKS?
MAYOR WARREN: FOR ME, IF I DO
THIS, THIS IS ABOUT THE FUTURE
OF MASSACHUSETTS, NOT ONE

IT IS ABOUT LIFTING AN ENTIRE

ISSUES THAT MATTER.
YOUNG PEOPLE, FAMILIES, SENIORS
NEED TO BE ABLE TO BE

RAISING MONEY.
MONEY IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF
POLITICS.
IF ANOTHER PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRAT

YOUR PITCH THAT YOU'RE THE
BETTER TO BACK?
HE OR SHE.
ANYONE.
MAYOR WARREN: ONE OF THE REASONS
I HAVE THINKING ABOUT THIS RACE
AND WHY I HAVE SOMETHING TO
BRING TO IT IS MY EXPERIENCE AS
MAYOR, CERTAINLY MY EXPERIENCE
AS A VETERAN.
I TALKED TO PEOPLE
ABOUT THE
YEAR I SPENT IN IRAQ WORKING
WITH AND LIVING WITH PEOPLE OF
ALL DIFFERENT RACES AND
BACKGROUNDS THE YEAR I GOT THIS
DEPLOYED.
WE HAVE TO HAVE EACH OTHER'S
BACK.
THAT STAYED WITH ME.
THAT WAS TRANSPORTED FROM THE
--
THAT WAS TRANSFORMATIONAL FOR
ME.
I THINK ABOUT THAT AS I MAKE
DECISIONS AS A PUBLIC SERVANT.
RIGHT NOW, WE ARE IN UNCHARTED
TERRITORY IN THE UNITED STATES.
WE HAVE GONE FROM REAL
ESTATE-BLUE STATE.
WE CANNOT NORMALIZE HATRED,
BIGOTRY, XENOPHOBIA, SEXISM,
RACISM.
WE WILL NOT NORMALIZE IT.
WE WILL GO AGAINST.
WE HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER IN
UNDERSTANDING ONE ANOTHER.
I BOUGHT A GROUP OF PEOPLE
TOGETHER, CLINTON VOTERS AND
TRUMP WINNERS TOGETHER.
I WORKED HARD FOR CLINTON AND
WAS DEVASTATED WHEN SHE LOST.
I KNOW MY RESPONSIBILITY AS
MAYORS TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER
SO WE CAN TACKLE THESE TOUGH
ISSUES.
JANET: YOUR NUMBER
ONE ISSUE ON
YOUR RESUME THAT YOU WILL GO TO
DEMOCRATS WITH AND GET THEM TO
GIVE YOU MONEY AND BACK YOU IS
YOUR MILITARY EXPERIENCE?
MAYOR WARREN: IN ADDITION TO
THAT, I HAVE BEEN A CHIEF
EXECUTIVE.
I HAVE HAD TO MAKE TOUGH
DECISIONS, BALANCE THE BUDGET,
BRING MY COMMUNITY FISCAL
RESPONSIBILITY, AND I HAD TO ASK
FOLKS FOR A LITTLE BIT MORE
MONEY TO MAKE DECISIONS FOR
INFRASTRUCTURE, EDUCATION,
PUBLIC SAFETY, SERVICES.
WE NEED A GOVERNOR THAT CAN DO
THAT.
ED: GREAT TO SEE YOU AS ALWAYS.
I GREW UP IN NEWTON SO IT IS
ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE THE MAYOR

What You Never Knew about the Armor of God - Duration: 4:26.
While studying the full armor of God, the Lord showed me something that changed everything.
Keep watching.
As I studied to write a chapter about the full armor of God for my book, Silence Satan,
the Lord clued me in on something that radically changed
how I approached it.
In Ephesians 6, Paul instructs, "Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be
able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Next, he clarifies the source of our struggles: "For our fight is not
against flesh and blood, but against principalities … powers … rulers of the darkness of the
world… and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."
Then he boasts, "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to
withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
Stand therefore…"
I noticed that in only five verses, Paul uses the word stand, four times.
Then God revealed something revolutionary: "The armor isn't
meant to help battle a devil who is defeated, but to
stand in the victory of the One who defeated him!"
This simple revelation changed everything about my plans for the chapter.
I suddenly saw that Paul used the context of the Roman soldier's
uniform to relate about the power we each possess as those dressed "in Christ."
Amazingly, each of the six articles in the armor are all ours—not
to fight for what we don't have, but to help us
stand in what we already have in Christ.
Take a look.
The belt was a thick leather that was band girdled around the soldier's waist.
Paul probably mentioned it first because it was foundational—the belt is
what most of the weaponry was attached to.
Then he likened it to the truth we have in Christ.
That is, knowing the truth about who you are and what
you have in Him is foundational for victory.
The breastplate was a beautiful, scaled metal piece that was fastened around the upper body,
protecting the vital organs of the soldier.
Paul likened this to the righteousness we have in Christ, which
protects the most vital part about us—our identity in Him.
The shoes were made of a leather sole with bands that wrapped up around the ankles.
On the bottom were stones, or cleats, to help the soldier
stand firm in his position.
In Christ, we have shoes of peace, which help us stand calm and strong
in the midst of difficulties and trials.
The shield was the largest and most movable piece.
It protected the soldier from the flying spears and swords of battle.
Paul compared this to our faith in Christ, which when raised,
protects us with an unwavering confidence that God's got this!
The helmet protected from the most fatal wounds on the battlefield—head wounds.
In Christ, we have a helmet of salvation, which protects
our minds with salvation thoughts: thoughts that are
true, pure, lovely, excellent and worthy of praise.
Finally, the sword was both a defensive and offensive weapon.
Of course, defensively, it could block the enemy.
But offensively, the soldier would stand and wave it in the air, signaling to an
enemy: "I'm armed and dangerous, you better stay back!"
In Christ, God's Word is like this sword.
When spoken, it defends against the devil's attacks.
But used offensively, it alerts Satan: "Stay back!
Because I know who I am and what I have in Christ!"
Isn't this awesome?
As someone who is "in Christ," you already possess the armor of God,
which is the uniform of Jesus.
Yes, in Christ, you have truth, righteousness, peace, faith,
salvation, and His Word to help silence Satan.
Now stand in it!

Feel like I could just talk about this for three hours...
I think a very special one is still the
plane scene.
We had to fake that the plane was shaking
So we were in unison sort of shaking
and swerving at the same time.
That drinking scene with the boys in the first season.
Killing someone with a kiss.
I have to say, also was kind of super cool.
The hardest one I think, was the tank.
Because it was three days of really cold,
really muddy, really heavy gun and running in the mud.
And we were exhausted. But at the same time
I thought, you know, this is nothing compared
to what someone would have actually felt
during World War II.
I think what's emotionally demanding about this show
is not necessarily specific scenes,
it's just every time you read and you're like
'oh my god' this is horrendous,
and then you have that second wave of 'oh my god',
this actually happened, probably even worse.
Everyone probably said the same answer — Warren.
He's hilarious.
He's got that level of honesty, he can say anything
and flip it around and repeat it again and again until
it's not funny and then it becomes funny.
I think he generates, I'm sure, half of our running gags
that we have in the group.
And then brings back old ones from season one.
Yeah. He's hilarious.
Dustin, he's the master of puns.
I read this morning actually that there's a
pun competition, you can be the best pun artist in
the world through this competition.
And I'm sure Dustin would score pretty high, if he went.
So Dustin, you should go, and I'll be your number one fan.

Some fantastic residents telling us about the Safe Place Scheme in Newcastle http://bit.ly/2iR6ORp - Duration: 0:44.
People with learning disabilities have said sometimes when they are out
and about things happen to them that
makes them worried or scared
We could have lost our bus pass or keys
or we could have been bullied.
Safe Places is a scheme which helps people
with learning disabilities to deal with
anything that happens to them while
they're out and about in Newcastle.
People with a learning disability say this would be somewhere
for people to go when this
happens to them.
Its good to know there is somewhere to go to get help if needed.

A Conversation in English About Travel (with Subtitles) | Learn Real English 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 - Duration: 17:40.
Hello, everybody, this is Jack from
tofluency.com along with - Kate - this is my
wife, Kate and we are being quite
ambitious because we have brought our
daughter along with us. So, we are going
to have a conversation in English and
this is going to give you the
opportunity to listen to a real
conversation both in British English and
American English and baby. And baby.
You'll hear some baby noises, no doubt. And
this is going to be on YouTube but we
might upload it as a podcast as well, so
if you are listening to the podcast, go
to tofluency.com/podcast and you'll
be able to get some materials for this
lesson. Now, our hope is not to edit this
video too much, we;re just going to have a
conversation and we are going to talk
about vacations.
Yep. And talk about traveling. Now, we
actually met while I was traveling back
in 2007. So, it's almost 10 years.
Oh my gosh. I can't believe that it's
flown by, hasn't it. It has, yeah. And, erm, we
have been living in America for about
six years now. How many vacations have
been up since we've been here?
Can you remember anything in particular?
That's a really good question. I think a
lot of times we end up traveling for and
visits to family more than we travel for
pleasure or to get away from it all.
Yeah, so because we because we live in
America, my parents are in Europe; my
sisters in Europe; your family is
elsewhere as well, when we tend to travel
we tend to go see family don't. Visit family.
Yeah.
Yeah, we do. Why don't you tell everyone about our
latest vacation? Our latest vacation?
For the holidays this year, we actually
went to Florida and we met up with your
parents and your sister in Florida and
we had more of a beach vacation.
Yeah it was fantastic went somewhere
really warm.
I've got some videos on this, you know,
everyone can take a look at the videos
we made from Florida, but it was great
to go somewhere different and not to go
somewhere cold for Christmas. I know!
Yeah, we've never done that before and it
didn't really feel like Christmas
because usually we associate it with snow
and cold weather and instead we were on
the beach on Christmas Eve.
Yeah, and Christmas Day. There were park rangers passing out
sunglasses.
yeah giving out free sunglasses. Yeah. But
it was fun because people were playing
Christmas music; they were wearing santa
hats and we went to the beach on
Christmas Day.
mhm. Which... it was really strange; it was
really strange to be honest but very
enjoyable.
Yeah it was. Yeah. And then, let's talk
about an ideal vacation now.
Because we are thinking about going
away this summer...
where would your ideal place be? Where
would you like to go? I don't know. I have
always wanted to travel or somewhere
really kind of difference and obviously
somewhere that feels safe especially
with the children where we don't have to
get a lot of vaccines before we go.
That's such a good point. But I would love to visit a
country with some different cultural
traditions and food. I've always wanted
to go to Morocco. Morocco? Very cool!
Yeah, we we nearly went, didn't we, while w we
were living in Spain.
Yeah. But we just never made it there. That was
the time to go when we were, you know,
I mean, I think that once you start a family
family, you realize that the time to go
was any time before you had kids.
Yeah, exactly, and that's why you'll hear
people say and to anyone who's just
about to have kids, you know, take
advantage and this time right now but,
you know, you can do stuff with kids like
make these videos and podcasts... so,
yeah... you say Morocco, anywhere
else? I would love to explore
Australia more
as well, and you have a cousin who
actually lives in Australia.
Yeah. That would.. it would be fun to visit them and
we've been talking a lot with our son
about koala bears and kangaroos and
different animals that live in
Australia, so that would be fun,
yeah, and I would love to travel around
Asia as well. Yeah, I haven't really been
out that way at all.l I haven't been to
anywhere in Asia. I haven't been to Australia,
I think the farthest east I've been is
probably Germany.
Wow. Yeah and that's western Europe, so...
but you have been all the way down to
Patagonia in South America. Yes.
So, you've just traveled in a different
direction. But i feel like I'm so glad
that I have a partner who loves to
travel.
Yeah. That we found each other because we
can go on my adventures and we can maybe
take some trips now while Thomas is
little. But I would love to take him
and Emma, who's chiming in, on some
neat vacations when they get older and
just travel and experience life in
different parts of the world.
Yeah, it's a strange time for us because
it seems like we're just dealing with,
you know, emergency situations when we
travel and this year, though, when we went
to Florida, Thomas was excited about it.
We could show him pictures and we could
talk about it in terms of what we were
going to do and he got excited about
that.
Yeah. And he talks about it now. He's
developing those memories and we took
some great photos while we were there too.
Yeah, so, yeah. And I think, as the
children get older,
we're going to have great times and we can
do very specific things, and they'll get those
memories - they will have those memories.
Yes. Where did you travel when you
were a little? Do you have memories of
traveling? We went to France a lot and we
went to Spain a lot and and well, you
know, my memories when I was young - you
always make fun of me because I talk
about my memories all the time.
Yeah, by the way, Jack has an incredible
memory - you
well kind of well. When was your
earliest memory from? how old were you?
I don't really know to be honest...
no, there was that memory where I
remember being in my mom's arms when I
was six months old or I had to be six
months old because they were in their old house.
I remember seeing our neighbor and my
mom was talking to the neighbor.
Yeah. And I remember... I remember that
little ,you know, snippet - that tiny bit of
memory but it's not that clear. I know, but
six months old, that's incredible. I think
that'll mean that Emma will start to
remember life, potentially, in just a
couple of months because she's almost
four-months-old. Yeah, she is. Emma, are
you gonna remember this? Today? She might
remember this. Or at least, she'll have the video
to look back on. We always
went to France; we went to Spain a
lot and when I think I was about 11 or
12 when, maybe younger, when we got
a caravan. So. it used to take us three days
to get to the south of France and we
would spend about two weeks there. We went to
place called Canet Plage, which is near
Toulouse and we went there every
summer for about five years, I think.
And we've met the same people, it
is really cool because as a kid you want
to be around other kids
and there were a bunch of a children there who we
could play with. They had a great pool;
they had sports going on. The beach was
really close by. My sister liked it
because she was getting to the age where
she could go out and it was that kind of
place but, you know, it was
safe - it was great.
We really enjoyed it. How was it
traveling with your family, especially
as you got to be older in such a
small vehicle and sleeping in it.
I remember one trip especially when
... there was a big heat wave in France
and we we just poured water over our
heads because we didn't have air
conditioning
in the car - super hot and the other thing
France at that time and I don't know
if that's changed - but they didn't have proper
toilets. They had like holes in the floor.
I bet that that has changed. I imagine it has.
You know, that's what I
remember about it.
And then one year, we went down with
another family.
And a friend - one of my sister's friends
came as well and I went in the car with
the other family they had a conditioning. And it
was such a big difference. Yeah, I
can imagine that's something that we
take for granted, I think. Yeah, no one in
the UK had air conditioning in a car
it was very very rare.
Wow. It must be... because it doesn't get that hot.
So, people don't feel like they need it.
Yeah. Okay, we're back and I just asked a
question about.. what you did for vacation.
Where did you go when you were when you
were a kid? When I was a kid we actually
took a family beach vacation every
summer. My family and family friends
would rent a house on an island called
Block Island which is an island the coast of
Rhode Island and New England and we
would drive and take a ferry to the
island and we just had a great time. We
would go to the beach every day; we would
grill seafood at night.
Yeah, it was a really special memory
for me. And was not like every
summer?
Yeah, it was every summer for probably
five or ten years. Oh, really? Yeah, my mom
actually grew up going there when she
was a kid too, so she had memories of the
place and all the different areas to
go and it was just a really neat... (thing to to do) When
was the first time you went abroad?
Do you remember? The first time that I went
abroad, I was probably about 10 years
old. My dad decided to start working for
an airline because he really wanted to
show us the world
and so he was working for a British
airline and he got a free ticket
- all right, that's fantastic - every year
So, he took he took my sister and I
both on a trip to England. Did you go to Scotland
too? We did. Was that the same trip?
I think so.
Well, no. That was a different trip. That
was a trip that we took
all as a family together, but my
father actually passed away when I was
in collage, so the fact that we had
that trip together just meant so much. It
was just a special special thing to have
done with him. Great, and do you
remember the journey? I do. What was
that... because going to the UK or anywhere in Europe
you're doing the overnight flight.
from America. That is challenging. uh-huh
Do you remember that? I think, I mean, I'm sure
that I was tired but I think it was just
the most exciting thing that had ever
happened to me and just the novelty of
everything - being able to look out an
airplane window; eating pretzels - a
little packet of pretzels like it was
just all magical It was so much fun. I remember
the first time I came to America
because my uncle, you know my uncle used
to work in America? And he
got us on a flight and it was economy class
but we went to the check out and
then went -they just said our last name, Askew?
Askew? We'll see what we can
do because my uncle used to fly back and
forth to the UK and back to America
all the time, so they - my sister didn't
come on that trip - I think was 14. No, this
is second time.
no no - sorry, I'm getting confused - we
came when i was ten and and that's when -
we did - we got bumped up to first class
yeah - and it was just amazing.
I remember it very clearly. I think
because my dad works for the airline too,
we get bumped up - not all the way up to first
class but to premium economy. We were
in business class and it was
an experience. Yeah. Have you seen some of
those recent pictures of the new
like business class on these luxury
jets?
No, but.... they have like, you know. spas
and showers and a circular bar - there's a
lot going on with them now, obviously,
very very expensive, but and I think if
you get - some people I've have seen on
Facebook get on these flights or at least,
you know, getting the first preview...
some YouTubers, and it just looks
incredible. That sounds great.
that would make flying with my children
worth it.
Yeah, no, definitely. It's hard, isn't it,
with small children. Yeah - the flying - it can
be you. It can be hard - you just never know
what you're gonna get,
ever day is different. No, but you know,
it's good. We feel very grateful to be
able to do it, you know. to go on
these vacations.
So, you mentioned Morocco
before as an ideal place to go on
vacation - where is your ideal..
I was gonna...
tell me about it. I was thinking
about this, you know, while we've been
having this discussion but i think
probably...
Australia. I think it would be Australia or
Japan. I think somewhere in Asia maybe -the
the problem is when I start to think
about these like ideal vacations then I
think about the practical side of things -
with children, you know, because
it is completely different. When I went
travelling I was on my own I had a tiny
backpack and I went away for nine months
and, you know, I could go on a bus for 42
hours. It was fine - kind of - you know, but
it's something I could do, but now it's
thinking about those things -
forgetting about children, is it easier
to travel on your own with me? Oh,
so much easier on my own.
I was worried that you were going to say that.
Explain!
Well, when you're on your own
you... you have your stuff and that's
it.
If you feel tired and down, you know,
or if you're like, you just don't talk to
someone, you can
just do that and. If you wanna be...
if you wanna be outgoing, then you can, you
know, just just meet other people and
then you just make your own decisions
but, yeah, it's more fun traveling
with someone. It is. That's the other thing.
'Cause you get to share your experiences
and just talk to somebody about what's
going on.
Yeah, definitely. Well, cool. Well, shall we
wrap it up?
Yeah, let's wrap it up. Do you have a question for the
audience about vacations?
Yeah, I mean - I've put you on the spot - absolutely
I always have questions, you know that. Okay, so give
everyone a question that they can answer
either if you're watching on YouTube
leave a comment below and if you're
watching or listening to the podcast
then just go to tofluency.com/
podcast and find this episode. What's your
question? Now I have to pick just one question. Okay, here's
my question: if you could travel to
anywhere in the world, where would it be?
And what is your number one bucket-list
destination?
Yeah, you're number one place to go. And
also i'll ask question too just as, you know, a
bonus one. When you go travelling do you
prefer to take a lot of stuff or do you prefer to
travel light?
Oh, it's a good one. Even though you wouldn't think it, I
prefer to travel light?
Yeah. Like almost dangerously light.
It's so much better.
You always take clothes that you don't
need - but what about you guys? Let us
know. So, yeah if you have enjoyed this video
please share it with your friends, please
give it a thumbs up. If you're watching on YouTube,
go to the description - i'll give you some
words and phrases that we used in this
lesson and subscribe if you're new. If you're listening to
the podcast, toflency.com/
podcast and check out the lesson notes.
So, thank you for watching or listening, speak
to you soon!
Yeah, thank you, it was great to be here
and to introduce y'all to Emma who was
not born yet last time that I had a
conversation like this with Jack. No,
yeah, time goes quickly. Okay, bye everyone!
Bye!
