Pubic hair plays an important role in protecting the genital area from pathogens and external
agitation.
It's also important to pay attention to any irritation in that area.
To shave, or not to shave, that is the question!
There are a lot of debates on this topic, and a lot of women don't know what to do
about it.
Do you let it grow, or do you shave it completely?
Women from the first group say that it protects them from diseases, and the second group states
that they do it for aesthetic reasons.
In this video i am going to share with you, Is it bad to shave or remove pubic hair.
Let's get started.
The purpose of pubic hair
The body didn't leave anything up to chance during creation, but a lot of women are deciding
to shave and a growing number of men.
In order to make a decision about shaving, you need to be informed that, the pubic hair
has several different roles, including:
Creating a barrier to prevent external bacteria or viruses in that cause infections of diseases.
Maintaining a pleasant and appropriate temperature for female genitalia to function properly.
Retaining personal odors that transmit sexual signals to stimulate a partner's libido.
Prevent irritation in the genital area during sex, as friction could cause redness and discomfort.
Reasons for not shaving pubic hair
If you're still not convinced whether you want to remove your pubic hair or not,
pay attention to these reasons that will convince you why it's better to leave things as they
are,
or, simply trim them back a bit.
Your skin suffers
Getting rid of pubic hair irritates and inflames hair follicles, leaving open wounds (that
aren't seen by the naked eye).
Constant shaving also causes painful ingrown hairs, or burns if using wax, or even just
cuts if using a blade.
More HPV cases
The Human Papiloma Virus has spread quickly.
Doctors confirm that this diseases is,
in most cases, transmitted without the individual even knowing (because there are no automatic
symptoms),
or because a lack of information.
Adults who shave are considerably increasing their possibility of infection.
Shaving is not more hygienic
This is one of the most widespread myths out there,
and it makes more and more women want to completely shave their pubic hair.
Bad odor has nothing to do with the amount of genital hair, but rather with personal
hygiene.
Advice for shaved genitals
If nothing that you have previously read that convinced you to stop removing your pubic
hair,
it's because you feel more comfortable without it… not a problem!
But if that's so, we recommend a few good habits to make sure that this decision causes
the least amount of consequences as possible.
Shave little by little
If you've never shaved your pubic hair before, it's best to start little by little.
This way you will experience less pain, or side effects.
Start by cutting the hair with scissors, and then shave or wax.
Don't sunbathe that area
You may have completely shaved because you have a tiny bathing suit, or summer has kicked
in.
It's not good, however, to sunbathe the first few days after shaving or waxing.
Prevent irritation and redness with a high SPF cream.
