Hi! Phylise Banner here, Curator of the InSync Blended Learning Hub. Ever wonder
how I make these videos? let me show you around!
This is actually my kitchen. What I've got up here on the wall is a portable
green screen. My wall is actually a chalkboard so I can do some videos with
my chalkboard if I ever want to do that. But portable green screen, around 50
bucks on Amazon. Love it! It folds up into a circle. It's kind of hard to fold
up, but still worth it. Love my portable green screen, and I do take it on the
road. For going to a client, if I'm gonna go do an installation and do some videos, I
take it with me. Love this chair. Just noticed my bracelets are making a lot of
noise. So things you need to think about when you're making videos - take the
jewelry off. Okay! Jewelry off! And I'll take you on a tour of my studio.
Here, let's start with the video camera I use. It's just an iPad. Okay I use my iPad
Mini here, and what I use is just a video utility on my iPad Mini. Okay does good
enough video, and I can key the green in the background. This is my favorite tool,
here. I just used a teleprompter on another tripod. So that's just another
iPad here again in my kitchen, and and I do a teleprompter. I can just do a start
and it prompts me. If I need any prompts, I can go slower or faster. Love having
that teleprompter tool. But the key to good videos and the key to keying out
that chrome key - the green screen - is lighting. So the lighting in my house
isn't great. I do push all my furniture over here. But this is the brightest room
in the house, and I like the audio. Oh! Again, audio. What else do I need to do?
I'm in the kitchen. They better unplug the refrigerator here.
So fridge is unplugged. Oh! Knocking stuff over. I'm gonna plug in my lights. I
want to show you the lights because the lights are the most important thing. The
lights and the sound, but we'll start with the lights. You can see it's really
bright, let me take you over here. You'll see it's a lit limo studio light set. I
think that one was a hundred bucks for the two lamps. And
you need at least two if you want to do a really - whoa! - if you want to do a really
good shoot, three is best, because two on the sides, and the one, the one getting
you right on, head-on. But because I have light coming in from the window I'm okay
with that. So you see, it's kind of tight in here. Come on over let me show you one
of the lights that I have, because it's interesting to see what they look like.
So what it is it's it's got a big reflective space, and this giant light
bulb in here. But you've got to be really careful. Everything comes with really
good packing, so when I'm done making my videos, I pack everything right back up.
I can have my kitchen back again. So the light is here, and then it comes with a
white film, and the white film is real easy to just put on right over the lamp,
like that. A great way to work, and they come on tripods, and you can adjust the
height. This one will go back up, you'll see the other one in the corner over
there, so that they're angled in. You need to angle the light in so that I don't
have shadow on me. You'll see the lights on one side, and when we turn that light
on, it'll cancel out the light on the other side, and it makes it much easier
for me to get that green screen - the chrome key - key that color right out.
Sound - I said something about sound a couple of times. Here this is the
microphone I use right here. Okay it's a great mic.
It's just I've tried wireless, I've tried thousands of mics - not thousand, but
probably hundreds of mics - and this is the one I like the best. It's $19, wired
mic. I'm never that far away from the video, so it works really well. And sound
is important. Just clip it right onto my t-shirt. You notice I'm always wearing a
black t-shirt. It's hard to chrome key out a lot of the clothing I own because
most of the clothing I own is green. So anyway, also how I mount my my iPads onto
these tripods. These are just regular tripods,
I have just this iPod iPad tripod mount adapter. Real simple and easy. So again
welcome to my kitchen! Welcome to my studio!

Red Dead Redemption 2 - Trailer #2 Breakdown - Duration: 13:17.
Welcome back - as always, me, Gary7 MT for the GTA Series Videos crew and this time are we guiding you on a journey into the Wild West.
After a drought that lasted months for new news, Rockstar Games has finally released a new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2.
In a trailer video we'll analyze in a moment, initial story details have also been revealed.
Our main character in this trailer is the outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang.
This confirms the previous leak about the game being a prequel to events in Red Dead Redemption.
The same can't be said for another leak which claimed that the game will reprise the multiple character feature used in GTA 5
– sure, this might be a trailer only presenting one of the main characters among the others but we honestly don't know.
The multi-character feature could also be similar to the one used in titles like Red Dead Revolver or
Max Payne 2 where the players were able to control different characters based on the chapters of the story played.
Now let's move on to the analysis and just as we've done in times past, instead of doing a classic frame-by-frame analysis,
we're going to take all the scenes of characters, common places, possible missions
and similar content in order to analyze things better.
As always, a big shout has to go to the guys over at GTAForums and our Discord Server for some of the details.
Let's start with the scenes showing the world created by Rockstar Games - and it's clearly huge.
With a shot from the prairie to the mountains, we can already appreciate the vastness of the map.
The second scene tells us that we will be able to find campsites in the world thanks to the column of smoke created by the fire.
But it's the third shot that really explains how huge this world is.
Our character is on the left riding his horse up to the mountain, while on the right we are able to see far, far away.
One of the various leaks released in the past about this new chapter of the Red Dead series was the map of the world
and according to the guys on the GTA Forums, this scene shows only a little portion of the game's enormous map.
This is clearly a place that is going to help us navigate the map
- considering this nearly destroyed tree is going to be an easily recognizable landmark while galloping through the prairie.
Or it's a scene where our group – or a group of Marshall considering they're all wearing Bowler hats
– is planning to hang someone. Certainly, the shape of the tree is perfect for hanging some fool.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is not the first Rockstar title to feature snow.
The rendering of the snow, both in air and on the ground, is impressive.
It reacts forming streams when we walk and features snow that actually covers trees rather than simply coloring them white.
Here we can see those details for which Rockstar Games is known.
As the wheels of the coach turn, we can see mud dripping back on the ground.
As it moves away, we can recognize a town we saw before in a shot released by Rockstar: a little town possibly named Smithfields.
On the left there's the Gunsmith and Law Office while on the right there's the Doctor's office & saloon among the other buildings.
Telegraph poles serve the main buildings and streetlamps can be seen with lanterns.
This is not going to be a "small" town.
From the businesses of the main street we move to a cemetery showing a woman dressed in black
crying at the foot of what clearly is a new tomb – different from the others,
there's no grass on the ground and the soil is still freshly turned.
Various scenes of the trailer focus on the wildlife - giving us a hint as to what kind of animals we're going to find in this world.
First of all, ya got to love them horses!
If you thought Red Dead Redemption's rendering of horses was on a level we'd never seen before, just wait!
Now the level of detail is truly mind blowing baby!
From the vein pulsing along its legs to the flexing muscles that respond to the movement of the animal.
In one frame we can even see a spurt of saliva from the horse's mouth when pushed to race.
In this last scene – and let's not talk about the demonic horse face –
we can see Morgan intent on probably taming a wild horse, a side activity also available from the first Red Dead Redemption.
Here we see a church bell tower with birds flying away as the bell starts to ring
while in the next shot a boar is drinking on the shore's river and immediately is attacked by an alligator.
This, as we said already in the analysis of the first trailer, is a new feature of the game,
an advanced AI for animals that programs them to fight and act like in real life.
That means they will interact among themselves and most probably against other NPCs.
In the next shot we can see Morgan using a weapon available in the first Red Dead but not in Read Dead Redemption: the bow.
Like in RDR, pelts and animal parts will probably be an important part of the game's economy.
The use of a bow might indicate the intention to minimize damage to the pelt
since less damage means more money as well as a more stealthy approach.
In the next scene we can see an attacking roaring bear.
Fuck a bow, use the gun on this one.
Rockstar has stated that in the game we're in a gang of thieves
and in these shots we can clearly see Morgan and the rest of Dutch's gang working together.
The gang is complete and every member is lurking in the shadows waiting for a signal -
probably from Morgan who stops a train after parking a coach in the middle of the tracks.
The sparks created by the wheels creaking over the rails are especially cool.
With the conductor knocked out we can see Dutch talking to someone who's not OK with the idea of being robbed.
These scenes, like the one shown a few months ago, looks to be heavily based on the train robbery scene
from the movie "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford",
a movie that seems increasingly important as inspiration for the story of Red Dead Redemption 2.
In three different scenes, we can see Morgan throwing a banker through a door
and then opening for huge security doors with the help of an explosion.
Thanks to these scenes we can also set a specific time frame for this game.
In this shot we can see over the table of the bank a phone.
An object in use after 1881 primarily by banks, foreign exchange agents and train stations.
Considering that the game is probably set before 1906 and surely after 1881,
it's a safe bet that the game is set somewhere between those years.
But who is Arthur Morgan anyway? Well there is no information given about our character.
All we know is that he was part of Dutch's gang like John Marston,
but there are no references to him in Red Dead Redemption and to avoid any kind of spoilers, we won't say anything more.
Arthur surely is no spring chicken probably in his mid-30s or 40s.
He looks loyal, but at the same time looks like the kind of guy who would have no problem stabbing a brother in the back
if that's what best for his wallet, but this is just us overthinking.
We have various scenes of Arthur wearing always the same hat, bandana, shirt, suspenders and pants
but with different overcoats or none at all.
In these scenes he might be interacting with a character from a random event
while in this other, considering what he yells, the scene is probably taken from a story mission.
As for Morgan's southern American accent, it sounds more like a Louisiana Cajun accent than the Texan accent of Marston in the first game.
In the next scene during the night Arthur is using a knife to stealthily kill a lookout
- whether this is going to be a feature of the game or something tied only to a specific mission is unknown.
Next scene we see our character using two revolvers, same model this time
different than what was shown before in a screenshot from Rockstar Games.
A great little detail here is how Arthur closes his left eye to fire his revolver in his left hand.
Let's move forward and here we can see Arthur hitting a man on the ground with the butt of his rifle.
What we love here are the details on the hands and the arm of the guy on the ground. It looks skeletal perhaps burned.
Lastly we see our guy on a horse aiming at an enemy or something on the ground and shoot him with no mercy at all.
With that said let's talk about the other characters shown in this trailer starting with the last one introduced:
Dutch Van der Linde.
Here we see our younger and better dressed Dutch. Despite being addressed as Dutch
we know that this guy is Van der Linde thanks to the mole on his left cheek and the dimple in his chin
we see all the features that clearly identify this person as Dutch.
The second character we'll discuss is a blond girl tied in someway to Arthur. How is unknown.
A lot of people are trying to figure out who this girl is checking to see if she is some older character.
She's not Bonnie McFarlane and neither is she Abigail Marston she's just a new character like almost all the others.
The same goes for this Native American clearly one of the members of the original Dutch's gang
according to the artwork released months ago by Rockstar, but surely not anyone we later met in Red Dead Redemption.
While trying to keep this analysis spoiler free, the only members known from Dutch's gang at the time of Red Dead Redemption,
are Williamson, Escuela, Dutch and John Marston himself.
And while we were talking about Williamson here on the left we can clearly see Bill Williamson
while on the right we have our character Arthur Morgan.
We can't really say who the guy in the middle is, it could be John Marston as many of you think and probably hope,
but honestly he doesn't really look like him.
One thing to note is here is that the burning house behind the trio is the same house
we can see on the right of this scene with Morgan intent in lassoing a horse.
The rest of the trailer are moments probably taken from missions or activities.
In the first Morgan is talking to a young traveler in front of a poorly maintained House on the Prairie.
In the next Morgan with another guy jumps on a running train when it exits the other side of the tunnel.
The second character is a companion from what we understand considering that Morgan helps the guy to get aboard the train after he slips off the roof.
In the last of these scenes the train has arrived at what looks like a mine and here Morgan is focused on getting some info from some dude.
In this scene we can see Arthur getting his ass kicked by a guy who looks Irish in the middle of town.
This is still probably Smithfields - the city shown before but this time shown from the other side of the road,
giving us an opportunity to see the church at the end of the main street.
This could be a fight born in the saloon and taken to the street
maybe connected to a mechanic similar to the one used in Red Dead Redemption when the player was caught cheating playing cards.
In the last and final shot of this analysis we see Morgan holding a lantern
in front of two other characters walking in the middle of a swamp towards a pier with a building illuminated in the background.
This is probably a moment connected to a mission where the trio has to reach the area and rob or do something while trying not to alert their enemies.
And with that we have completed our analysis.

Top 10 Video Games That Are So Bad They're Awesome - Duration: 7:20.
Video Games so Bad theyíre Awesome Hey guys!
Welcome back to Top 10 Gaming, Iím Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey.
There are some pretty terrible games out there.
Iíve touched on some of them in other videos.
But sometimes, a game is just so bad that it goes all the way around and is good again.
These are some of the best worst games out there, where you can just zone out and enjoy
them without all that pesky ìthinkingî nonsense.
So give your brain a rest and get ready, because itís time for the Top 10 Video Games so Bad
Theyíre Awesome.
Number 10: Deadly Premonition.
Deadly Premonition was a survival horror game from 2010, and reviews were heavily divided.
The game is best known for being extremely chaotic and weird, with lousy graphics and
controls.
To some, this game was terrible; bad voice acting, weird characters, crazy story, and
just overall lousy.
But to others, itís so wonderfully strange and whimsical and gruesome, that itís epic.
It was also made better with the release of the Directorís Cut, which polished it up
and gave an extended ending.
Give it a try if youíre a fan of the weird!
But Iíd highly advise the Directorís cut.
Number 9: Two Worlds.
Two Worlds came out back in 2007, a year after Oblivion, which would make you think it would
be pretty polished.
NOPE.
For whatever reason, the game creators decided to voice the characters themselves.
Incredibly awkward fake Olde English vocabulary spoken with mostly American accents, combined
with largely expressionless actors, gives you one painfully-voiced game.
That said, there were some pretty neat monsters, a decent number of spells, and a bunch of
factions, which is pretty sweet.
Plus the voices are so terrible that theyíre super entertaining.
Iím a bit biased because Two Worlds was the first RPG I ever played so it was all just
a magical experience for me, but I still love it.
Even though itís kinda poop, especially compared to Oblivion.
Number 8: Survival Arts.
Survival arts was a Mortal Kombat style arcade fighting game from 1993, and itís widely
viewed as one of the worst games of this type ever.
The characters look lousy and were very large, the actors clearly didnít know how to fight,
the game was imbalanced, and the moves were just frustrating to play.
However, many of these ridiculous aspects actually make the game pretty hilarious to
play.
Even if youíre getting destroyed because the other person just keeps using the stupid
freaking machine gun, you can still take solace in the fact that the game is hilariously lame,
and revel in the fact that someone made that game and went ìYep, thatíll do.î
Number 7: Manhunt.
Manhunt isÖ not for everyone.
Letís get that out of the way right now.
Itís an unforgiving and incredibly brutal stealth action game with 24 levels.
Itís also one of the most absurdly violent games ever created.
To the point where itís kind of stupid.
That said, if youíre able to just accept it and enjoy it, itís kind of a blast.
Plus Brian Cox does voice acting in it, which is just awesome.
I love reading the reviews for this one, youíll read one that says ìThis canít be a game.
This is trashî and then one that sincerely says ìThis game is one of the best made to
date.î Talk about divisive.
Number 6: Harvester.
Harvester was a point and click adventure from 1996, so right there you kinda know that
it wonít be the king of games.
Then you find out it uses full-motion video and you get a bit more worried.
Then you find out that itís a really strange horror thatís confusing, stupid, and frustrating
and you might just say ìscrew itî and put it away.
But donít!
Because Harvester, while totally messed up, can actually be pretty awesome if you play
it with the right attitude.
Just sit back and go along for the ride, enjoy the gory strangeness.
Itís even been compared to Twin Peaks in that respect, so if you like Twin Peaks, maybe
give it a shot!
Number 5: BloodRayne.
Half human.
Half vampire.
All woman.
No seriously, thatís a tagline.
Thatís your first sign that this wonít be the most thought-provoking of games.
And it really isnít.
But you know what it is?
A game where you play as a sexy vampire woman who carves dudes up with swords.
Itís like Lara Croft meets Selene from UnderworldÖ meets a stripper.
Itís pretty silly and clearly using sex to sell, but honestly there are some pretty badass
moments.
Drink enough blood and you go into a bloodrage, and just go bananas tearing apart zombies
and Nazis, and itís just ridiculous, gory fun.
Not the best graphics or controls, but likeÖ just smash the buttons.
Something will happen.
Number 4: Shaq Fu.
Okay, this may come off as a bit of a flip flop because Iíve already used Shaq Fu in
our ìworst gamesî video.
But as stupid as it is to have Shaq doing Kung Fu, on the other handÖ youíre playing
as Shaq doing Kung Fu.
Thatís amazing.
This isnít the kind of deep, thoughtful fun that you get playing games like Portal or
Wolf Among Us, this is just straight up turn off your brain because itís time to enjoy
the stupidest thing ever kind of fun.
Yes itís a bad game, butÖ Itís ShaqÖ doing Kung FuÖ Itís awesome.
And it couldnít be any worse than his foul shooting.
Number 3: Link: The Faces of Evil.
There is some dispute as to which Zelda game is the best.
But there can be no argument about the worst.
Because this is it.
Link: The Faces of Evil was a CDi game from 1993 that took Link, the beloved star of the
Zelda franchise, and just pissed all over him.
It was not pretty.
And ironically, Linkís face looks pretty damn evil.
Putting Link in a stupid side-scroller was terribleÖ but at the same timeÖ itís just
amazing.
Itís kind of like the video game version of that video where the woman falls when stomping
grapes.
Itís painful, but you just.
Canít.
Stop.
Plus, the backgrounds are pretty nice, and itís actually considered one of the better
CDi games out thereÖ only problem is, that isnít saying much because CDi sucks.
Number 2: Desert Bus.
Around the time that Penn and Teller were blowing up in pop culture, they came out with
a Sega CD game called Penn and Tellerís Smoke and Mirrors, and in the game were a bunch
of ridiculous mini games.
My personal favourite was Desert Bus, where you drove from Tucson, Arizona to Las Vegas,
Nevada.
In real time.
For 8 hours.
Without pausing.
It was created to be as boring and inoffensive as possible, to poke fun at the rising movement
claiming that video games were corrupting kids.
It was the worst thing everÖ but that made it pretty great.
To be clear, this wasnít FUNÖ but itís pretty awesome.
Number 1: Pretty much any Kusoge game.
Turns out, it isnít exactly uncommon to enjoy terrible games simply because theyíre terrible.
Itís so prevalent in Japan that there is actually a word for this, Kusoge, which translates
to ìshit gameî.
These games are often created to be as terrible as possible, with ridiculous bugs, awful voice
acting, atrocious graphics, and stupid gameplay.
And theyíre hilarious, both playing and watching them.
Check out the Cho Aniki series, theyíre ridiculously campy games that justÖ words fail to describe
them.
