How To Get More Comments on Youtube Videos - Duration: 8:25.Today I want to show you how to get more comments on your YouTube videos. And I
don't have just any generic tips for you. Today I have a real treat in store.
Six weeks ago Morningfame showed Daniel that the weakest spot on his channel is
engagement. So I threw him a challenge and said like get your engagement up as
fast as you can by driving more comments. And just four weeks later he really aced
it. I would even say he reached the holy grail of commenting. So how did he do
this? Well, let's find out.
Hey youtubers, Nico here. So let's find out how Daniel
aced the commenting. Daniel has a channel called Extreme Food Reviews and the name
speaks for itself. Let's check out a few seconds.
Bravado Ghost Pepper and
Blueberry hot sauce. Let's eat it.
So he got some comments like "Great video! I need to try that hot sauce". So how do we
respond? Well, Daniel realized one thing: Usually, we say something like "thanks for
stopping by" or "I'm glad you enjoyed my video" but this is really a conversation
killer, right? I mean there is no reason for the other person to write again a
comment on that, right? So the goal really should be to start a conversation or at
least get one more follow-up comment from that person. So how do you reply to
a comment like "Eww! Spicy cereal!" Let me quickly get you up to speed what
the video was about.
We like to, we like to mix things. We like to combine
ingredients. So this is ghost pepper and blueberry, so how do we get the berry up?
We can introduce some crunch berries.
This is disgusting. This is breakfast.
I wonder what color ghost pepper
blueberry sauce will turn the milk.
We are putting it, oh my god. In the milk, oh my god!
So Daniel replied: "Stop it. You love my
cooking. (Is this considered cooking?)" Well, that's a conversation starter.
It worked. Meg Larson replied: "cooking yes... it's ruining the sanctity of cerial!"
So joking around is always a good idea since Daniel's channel is an
entertainment channel. For a channel like mine for example it would be sharing
more information. That is always a good idea to continue the conversation. But
what about the comments you get in the first place? What we can do there is to
choose a video topic that is emotional, thought-provoking, controversial in the
first place. So as an example let's look at another extreme food review! Today
we're playing a game and we've got to match the slogan of the chip brand to
the fiery chip that it goes with. So the first one we have here. This is the
Ruffles flaming hot potato chip. I don't know if that was flaming hot but
according to the name of it, it was flaming hot. The second chip we have is
Doritos blaze.
Blaze le Lay's.
I don't like that. That's a gross chip. It's like chilly light.
"Wow, you guys are very brave. I would never eat any of these things..."
"Come on... I am sure you could handle the vanilla ice cream :)"
"Well, besides that fire fire fire"
Well, this is the power of doing something controversial, emotional,
thought-provoking. It really urges the people to leave their first comment. And
if you think that Extreme Food Reviews really lends itself towards doing
something controversial, well then let's take my channel for example. If I tell
you that YouTube tags don't do what you think they do,
well that is controversial as well and produces a lot of comments. So I wonder
in your niche, what is there working really well for you? What is
controversial, thought-provoking, emotional which produces a lot of
comments? Please let me know in the comments below. I'm really interested to
see how the different niches work there. And by the way if you think that Extreme
Food Reviews is all there is to it, no, Daniel can take it even up a notch.
Hey everybody. Welcome to Extreme Food Reviews and today we're eating bugs.
No! No! Nice try! Guys!
Let's eat it.
We don't just have crickets. We have three flavors of crickets.
Who knew. What's this flavor Jonas? This is salt and vinegar.
What's this flavor? We have sour cream and onion. And I've got bacon and cheese.
And these are some full-on crickets - it's not like cricket parts. They're really big.
Throw it up there.
I wasn't nervous about this until now. I think the
thing we have to... Do I lick it? No you have to eat the whole thing.
Alright. So I guess we clunk it and
dunk it. I don't know...
"haha very nice. I had crickets and scorpion while traveling in Thailand. I
feel you guys."
"Good grief! We haven't tried scorpion yet. That and Tarantula is
on our list. Our list sucks. Did I mention that?"
"I'm going to be honest, I would
and it lol. I did quite like the crickets though. Thought they tasted like bacon.
Scorpion had a mushy inside [disgusted emoji]" For a good reason.
So as you can see Daniel is really giving his viewers a reason to leave a
comment and as they begin to understand that commenting is fun, they keep coming
back to Daniel's channel and leave even more comments. And that actually brings
me to the holy grail of commenting. To understand what it is, let's have a look
at how Daniel tastes cat food.
Oh my god she's back. Can we maybe not fill the spoon?
I didn't. Okay.
oh oh oh my god
I have like a gravy to it. Oh now it feels like tire shards left in
my mouth. Now that the flavor is gone because I swallowed the gravy.
This one got many comments.
"When you said, 'it has a gravy to it' I actually started to gag
and heave for real."
"I used the term 'gravy' exceptionally loosely. It had a
non-nutritive slime that covered the bits of rubber they were pawning off as
meat." And now even two other people chimed in to the conversation.
"So glad to be a
gamer and not to relate to any of this video in real life." And a third person:
"haha" As soon as more people join into a single conversation you know you have
made it. Because we know comments on YouTube are not the same as on other
social media platforms. There is usually no reason for people to read the
comments of other people. But if you drive those comments, if you drive the
conversation, they start to understand that the comments on your videos in
particular are valuable and they start reading the comments of other people. And
ultimately that way your audience will grow closer together and that is really
valuable because your subscribers in particular will be more loyal to your
channel, keep coming back to watch your new videos and that is really for the win for
your channel in the long run. So that said my friends. If you didn't reach the
holy grail of commenting yet, well then I challenge you to do the same and try to
increase your comments as much as you can to build this conversation, to grow
closer to your audience. Well, Daniel really achieve that within four
weeks. It's not too much of work but once you arrive there you will really
lift your channel to a whole new level. A conversation with your audience that will
also help you to improve your video topic choices because you now know much
better what your audience wants to watch on your channel. So high five Daniel,
high five Jonas and Megan. I mean you are really doing a super great channel. It
was cringy, it was funny, it was super great to see all your videos. I mean keep
it up! It's so great to tell your story. My friends check out their channel. It's
really fun to watch. So I hope you really learned something with this and see you
next time my friends.

Parody of Indian Television | Hindi Funny Videos (2018) | Riya B - Duration: 3:38.Idiots, Where are you all?
Stop this man
After so long
Hi you guys, how are you all?
Is there anyone or not?!
I know I know, I was completely MIA
But I have proper justification okay
It's been hell of a stress these days
Why? Mmm..
How many IT employees watch my videos? Let me know in the comments
And how many of them have managers who are Ass****
Comment down that too
And if your manager is not an Ass****, you lucky bitch!
Anyway, I can make a detailed video for this too if you wanna listen, let me know
These earrings don't go with the outfit
forget it
I was gone for such a long, thought you all have forgotten, unsubsribed
May be you all don't watch anymore
But I got such overwhelming response
I was getting messages on youtube, whatsapp, facebook, instagram
That Riya, when will you post new video? what happened?
Loved the response
Loved it, and thought that no matter how much stress I have, can't leave this
Because this is something I love doing. and if somebody enjoys my videos then.. Woohoo
I was also completely out of topics
Was stressed about other things so much, that wasn't getting any chance of thinking about this
So was thinking what should I make, what should I make
Then this came to my mind
Indian Serials
Seriously haven't watched anything more stupid than this in life
Just like your videos
Maa
Maa
I have loose motion
what
what
what
you have loose motion
yes maa yes
I have loose motion
Over acting in everything
It's called acting, beta
and that "showing everything 3 times" logic, I still don't get it
I had got so sad
when Mihir left Tulsi to marry Mandira
And yes, your favorite shows are also not very logical okay
Atleast they don't wear 500 kg makeup while sleeping
And I'm done
Okay mom-in-law, going to sleep now, good night
Yeah so your GOT and How I met your mother is also not very logical okay
Maa, it's Game of thrones and How I met your mother
Don't make them sound like Bhojpuri serials
So I'm concluding this video by saying there's nothing more illogical and worthless than indian tv serials
But what about your videos then
MAAAA

Wacky TF2 Custom Maps: One Year Later - Duration: 13:18.Hey, so let's talk about the day my life changed forever, because I made a video about
a meme.
That's a bit of a weird thing to admit honestly, but it's what happened.
On this exact day, one year ago, I made a video about a higher version of Hightower.
Now the idea of TF2 joke maps isn't something new, but last year the concept exploded within
the community.
Wacky map after wacky map – maps based purely on memes – maps which elongated features
for no discernible reason whatsoever – maps designed to be completely unplayable, and
even maps designed to instigate players into the cult of our glorious lord and saviour
Harry Hill.
The joke map isn't for the average player that wants to play a noice ol' pub.
It's for person who wants a refreshing break from TF2's core gameplay, something fun
and silly to tide you over and create some memories with.
Not everyone wants to just play the game – some of us want to try out dumb stuff and have
a laugh.
And the wacky map scene is almost the perfect medium for this in TF2.
Here is something ridiculous that shouldn't be in the game, here's a lobby of 24 people
playing: good luck.
[Do I push the cart, do I try take the high ground- how long is this even going to take?]
So why did the wacky map scene absolutely explode this time last year in particular?
Memes.
Honest to God memes.
Memes have been about for ages, even predating internet culture.
Seriously, there's an entire field of study dedicated to researching them that spawned
in the 1980s, look up memetics.
But they've taken on new unprecedented relevance in mainstream culture, dominating social media.
Even politicians and companies market themselves today through the use of memes - looking at
you Sonic Twitter, you loveable shitposter.
The quality varies drastically, but they're a cool thing in culture.
Memes spread like wildfire, spawn variants, and escalate dramatically until we know we're
truly on the darkest timeline, and there's a reason why aliens haven't contacted us.
The same thing happened in the mapping scene last year for TF2. 50ft Orange Tower, with
the freaking nerd Surny making a video on it.
And then Hightower, but it's an even Higher Tower.
Yours truly made the original video on that one.
The popularity of these two maps and their videos spawned variants and iterations, all
with similar joke premises.
The result was a complete explosion in the TF2 mapping scene, even spawning a new type
of custom server specifically for wacky maps.
Highertower is now one of the most popular TF2 maps ever made on the Steam workshop.
And although the meme has started to peeter off, as is the case with all memes, because
culture is constantly changing; they still form a large part of TF2's history of the
past year.
Wacky maps are still being made, but they're not as big of a phenomenon now.
Which is probably for the best to be honest, as some of them were getting a bit too obscure
or tame in their concepts.
There's still gems and diamonds in the rough – a freaking hand-drawn Cuphead boss fight
map released this month, and it's actually amazing.
But wacky maps are not as dominant as they once were.
I know for myself I only try to make videos on the more interesting ones I find.
Seriously, go check out the Cuphead map.
So much work went into making that.
So did wacky maps only explode in popularity because memes were a thing?
Not quite.
See around this time last year, TF2 was experiencing its longest content drought to date.
The last substantial update for the game had been Meet Your Match in 2016, and there hadn't
been much new since, bar a handful of game changing cosmetics - oh hell yeah, this, this
completely revolutionizes everything-
TF2 was in a bit of a bad place.
And there was a lot of fear and uncertainty regarding the future of this game.
It's a good point to mention that historically, TF2 has always received a big summer update
that adds a huge batch of new content.
Except this didn't happen in 2017.
We didn't receive the first big update of the year until the very end of October which,
if you look closely, might need your glasses for this one – isn't summer.
We went a full year and a half in the end with no new content of note.
Wacky maps filled the void for the lack of new content.
So when the scene started to take off following the two tower maps, and there was still no
new updates in sight, people flocked to them.
It was something new and exciting taking place within the community, and at the time it felt
quite fresh and original.
Meme-y as hell, but it was great.
It was a good reason to keep playing the game during this time, as not much was happening
on Valve's end.
Wacky maps were the unofficial community update of last year, providing us with something
new to experience while we worried about the game's future.
And because so many iterations were being made at a regular pace, there was no shortage
of new content to play.
And it was genuinely funny and so outlandish when compared to the base game that the scene
continued to grow and grow.
This resulted in more content creators making videos on the maps, propelling the maps'
popularity even further.
So why are wacky maps not as common now?
Well, it's just like any meme.
They spread like wildfire, spawn iterations and variants, until they become oversaturated
and obscure.
This results in a small handful of the maps being celebrated and elevated above the others
as quality wacky maps that stand out and are still entertaining to this day.
Let me put it another way – people still play Highertower.
But no-one really cares about Highertower, but it's twice as tall.
Or Hightower, but there's no tower.
Or Highertower, but there's multiple towers, and It's capture the flag, and Noel Edmonds
is a rare spawn when questing in the Arathi Highlands.
The original, creative wacky maps are celebrated, and the rest sort of faded away.
It's the same reason Badwater, but the cart moves ten times faster is celebrated, and
none of the other faster maps receive as much attention.
The idea with Badwater was the first of its kind, creative and funny as hell.
The rest were just iterations following the same gag.
We sort of have a collector's DVD boxset of the best wacky maps available, with only
the occasional new ones added in.
When I was making my videos last summer showcasing these maps, this is what I tried to bear in
mind.
I didn't want to make videos on literally every version of Hightower – I wanted to
find the small handful of maps that I found genuinely entertaining in their own way.
The challenge was to find the DVD boxset maps that I'd want to play again in the future.
To this day, Fastwater is a map I genuinely love to throw into server rotations, alongside
things like Traingrid.
The concept and creativity in these maps is the part I enjoy the most.
And sometimes it doesn't go as well – Hightorangemillbine is an absolute abomination that tries to splice
multiple maps together, and is broken as hell.
Thundermountain, but the floor fills with lava every 10 seconds is also broken as hell.
It literally crashes your game every 10 seconds you try to play it.
But the concepts behind these maps were hilarious and entertaining to me.
It's the kind of community content I love to see in this game, and it only seems possible
within the framework of TF2.
No other game has this kind of scene, and it's genuinely cool to see.
Can we put Ocarina of Time's overworld into TF2?
Sure feck it, let's do it.
That's not even a possibility in most games, but TF2 somehow finds a way.
It's weird to look back on the impact of the wacky map scene critically like this.
I mean of all things, wacky is in their name, it's hard to take them seriously.
But for a time, they were something big and celebrated within our community.
They filled the void during a time of content drought, as the Jungle Inferno update appeared
to be missing in action.
And there's no doubt been many critics – some TF2 folks bemoaned their popularity, as if
it was the end times, almost similar to those stories where Pokemon GO is destroying our
humanity, and society as a whole.
Someone, please think of the children!
But the community at large remained rallied together and appreciated their novelty.
And if you didn't like them, you just didn't have to play them – simple as.
So it's a weird feeling looking back on the scene.
And this is something I never really talked about, but my video on Highertower was supposed
to be one my last.
I had made videos on Youtube for six years by that point, continuing them all through
my years at university.
I thought then that I'd given Youtube a good shot, and I thought I'd have to leave
it behind now that I was finishing my degree.
There was a sense I had to enter the real world now, and start settling down to find
a normal working job.
I was originally planning to move to Europe and teach English at a summer camp to try
and get my bearings.
And then on the day I had my very last exam, my video on Highertower exploded.
I remember watching it in Youtube analytics, and the point where it reached 12,000 views
in the span of an hour.
By the end of the day, it was sitting at close to 200,000 views.
And I remember thinking what I should do, and if it was right for me to still quit and
move on with life.
And I remember deciding, feck it, I may never have another shot at this.
So I went for it.
I made another video, also on custom maps, and it exploded as well.
And the rest is kind of insane.
My channel exploded, and I found a sizeable community after six years of making videos
that enjoyed what I made.
It was a crazy summer, to say the least.
From that one video and the reception it received, and the following support on from that, I
didn't give up on one of my dreams to entertain people.
And as it rolled on, RTGame became an actual thing in the TF2 community.
I got partnered on Twitch, I got partnered on Discord.
I went to organize the Blapature Co.
Summer Jam, we raised 14 grand for kids.
There's even an item in TF2 from that now, which I actually wrote the description for.
The thing about avocado jam is something I actually wrote, and it's kind of a weird
crazy reminder of what the past year has been.
The reason I'm saying all of this is because I've a personal history with this wacky
map scene now.
And even though the scene is settling, and I myself am moving on to different video formats,
such as the How To Really Play series, the maps still have a special place in my heart.
They, the community surrounding this game, and the support I received last summer – it
all changed my life in a way I never anticipated.
Doing this is my passion in life, and I thought I'd have to give it up before.
I never really got to mention all of this on the channel, to this degree.
But I want to say thank you, to everyone that found out who I was from that one video, who
became a part of the channel.
Who subbed.
Hung out with me on the livestreams.
It's insane.
My life has changed dramatically now.
From that support, I'm now currently living out another dream of mine I had in life – I
freaking moved to Japan for this year.
That's another thing I never thought I'd be able to do.
And now I kinda living over here and still playing games on the internet somehow.
My life's kind of weird when I think about it too much.
But thank you.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Wacky maps, ladies and gentlemen.
Jesus that got freaking heavy at the end, I was just expecting a dumb Highertower variant.
That's where you're wrong.
Because we're pulling out all the stops tonight, ladies and gentlemen, Highertower,
but it's an even Higher Highertower
It's so tall, I can't process this!
The ultimate pinnacle of TF2's mapping prowess, taking literally minutes to copy and paste
the central tower, and to put it on top of the first one.
This is the best thing I've seen.
Daniel, you've done it again, this is the best map.
Lose actual years of your life as you attempt to capture the objective, questioning your
poor life decisions.
I need to spend my time better, and to value what's important.
I love this!
Highertower, the sequel: It's an even higher Highertower.
Coming soon to a cinema near you.
I'm going to be first in line, this changes everything-
Ohh nooo
Oh my God Daniel, I love the custom maps!
Did he say custom maps? He said custom maps!
We have Medics vs. Scouts in the first round.
All these contestants are the best of the crop.
It's going way too quick.
It's barely even keeping on the track.
Nintondo Witch – it's finally back!
Why is there like a Danger: Keep Out sign next to Harry?!
Ohhh it came from the other side!
Wait, no!
What?
Whaaaattt?
We have to honour the memory of Cactus Canyon- the fuck do you think you're doing with
a crossbow?
Oh God you can just catch glimmers of it.
Oh God!
Violence is okay under certain circumstances as we've learned.
"This is the most intense TF2 gameplay I've ever seen."
I mean, this is like a slaughterhouse.
Is the cart also a spire?
Oh no.
The idea was to reproduce each year of TF2's lifespan.
This is base vanilla TF2.
You may notice that no-one has any hats.
That's a lot of projectiles down the corridor!
If anyone played Love and War at launch, this is what it was like.
Everyone get ready to say cheese as time collapses.
You're still here?
It's over.
Go home.

The Man Behind Cambridge Analytica - Duration: 10:44.Cambridge Analytica: a company that sparks controversy wherever it appears.
Between the massive data leaks at Facebook and the questionable impact the company has
had on the Brexit referendum and Trump's election, today you would be hard pressed
not to have heard about Cambridge Analytica.
And yet, despite all the recent media coverage of this company, one name has remained surprisingly
absent from the headlines.
The man who is at the heart of the infamous organization barely gets mentioned at all:
even Wikipedia's 4000-word article on the company mentions him only once, as if he is
a brief sidenote, barely worthy of recognition.
But in reality quite the opposite is true: over the past 30 years this man, Nigel Oakes,
has established a global psyops empire.
Today we'll learn the full story behind Cambridge Analytica: how it started and what
it's doing today.
This video is brought to you by Skillshare.

Now, just to set the record straight: Nigel Oakes is the founder and CEO of the parent
company of Cambridge Analytica, but the really interesting story is how he got there.
Way back in the 1970s, Nigel attended Eton College, the boarding school that has for
centuries educated the British elite and aristocracy.
Now, Nigel himself was born into a much more modest family of British veterans, but suffice
to say he made the most of his education.
Within a few years of graduating, he made headlines in Britain for his romantic relationship
with Lady Helen Windsor, a member of the extended royal family.
In 1985 he made headlines again this time by gate-crashing Lady Windsor's 21st birthday
party at Windsor Castle, for which he got arrested and was fined a total of £155, a
rather symbolic punishment.
Now, at the time, Nigel was a record producer and DJ, but just two years later in 1987 he
joined one of the leading advertising agencies in Britain: Saatchi & Saatchi.
This agency was responsible for one of the most famous political posters of the 20th
century, which ushered in the era of Margaret Thatcher and the Tories.
So out of nowhere, Nigel joins this company as a "senior producer".
Once there he develops a deep interest in psychology and its effects on group behavior.
But his practical knowledge isn't enough, so he hires respected academics to fill in
the blanks of his methodology.
This leads to the creation of the Behavioural Dynamics Institute, Nigel's first major
company.
Interestingly enough, if you try to visit their website now you're gonna find a blank
page.
As far as I can tell they took down their website on 22 March, 2018, but luckily there's
an archived version, which tells us that the Institute was responsible for at least a decent
volume of research.
Within two years of BDI's creation, Nigel felt confident enough to use it for commercial
purposes.
In 1992 he created Marketing Aromatics, a company whose mission was to influence behavior
through smell.
Now, Nigel's clients at the time were other companies just looking for a way to boost
their sales, and suffice to say the business wasn't exceptionally profitable.
Marketing Aromatics would exist for less than 4 years because Nigel quickly realized that
it was governments who would be his ideal client.
Thus, Nigel shifted gears and began targeting elections in less developed countries, starting
in 1993 with his new company: Strategic Communications Laboratories, or SCL.
As someone versed in the ways of psychology, Nigel knew that he needed to impress his clients
in order to win them over.
To that end he hired the same company that worked on the sets of the James Bond movie
Goldeneye to create his offices in a similar style across all the countries he operated
in.
He kept away from the public eye, but in his rare interviews he spoke of SCL in a rather
bombastic fashion: he said that they "employ the same techniques as Aristotle and Hitler,
[appealing] to people on an emotional level".
But despite his rhetoric, Nigel's methods proved less than successful.
From the little information that's available we know that in the year 2000 SCL was engaged
in a campaign to improve the image of Indonesia's new democratic government after 31 years of
dictatorship.
The methods SCL reportedly used were less than exemplary: they hosted seminars and bought
TV ads in the names of unrelated nonprofits and even USAID, which of course wasn't involved.
In one particular instance SCL tried to get newspapers to publish articles about a secret
intelligence report supporting the government that was actually made up.
Nigel's methods proved ineffective, for the government was deposed less than a year
later.
The situation soured so much that Nigel was forced to flee to Singapore.
A similar project, complete with its own James Bond operations center in Bangkok, is known
to have happened in June 1999, but the details are basically nonexistent.
The only thing we know is that it ended badly and the excuse given by the government was
that Nigel had violated immigration laws.
Now, today SCL boasts to have operated in over 100 countries, but the Indonesia incident
is the first one with any significant media coverage.
Before that Nigel appears to have worked in South Africa in 1994 and in 4 Caribbean countries
between 1995 and 1999.
We know next to nothing about these early campaigns other than the fact that they happened,
but we do know that by the late 2000s SCL was struggling financially.
Clients were hard to come by and with each campaign bringing in only between $200,000
and $2 million a piece, SCL was in dire straits.
To the rescue comes Alexander Nix.
Like Nigel, he was a graduate of Eton and was likely well connected.
He joined SCL in 2003 and by 2007 he was a director and significant shareholder.
It was his idea to shift focus away from developing countries and towards Europe and the US.
But the methods Nigel had employed in Southeast Asia were unlikely to work in the West, so
Alexander needed a new technique.
He wouldn't find it until 2013, when he hired a man you might be familiar with: Christopher
Wylie, who recently gave testimony to the UK government.
Now, Chris was a data genius: he had left high school at the age of 16 and was involved
in political campaigns in Canada and Great Britain while he was still a teenager.
Chris assembled a team of equally gifted programmers and data analysts to create a powerful program
for SCL.
Chris and his friends worked in Canada, so a company was incorporated there for this
purpose in 2013: AggregateIQ.
The program they created came to be known as Ripon, a reference to Ripon, Wisconsin,
the birthplace of the Republican Party.
Their application is essentially a giant data warehouse that contains as much information
as possible about a given voter's identity.
Specifically, it contains demographics, voting history, and party affiliation.
On top of that, the voter's profile is supplemented with literally any data that's available:
from magazine subscriptions to credit scores.
A complex model uses all of this data to create exceptionally well targeted ads in favor of
a specific political candidate.
SCL acquired this data from various sources, some public and others not.
The most infamous example is the Facebook data of at least 87 million users, which was
acquired under the false pretenses of "academic purposes".
Alexander Nix paid $1.4 million for it, or just over 1 cent per person.
But all the data in the world would be useless if nobody would buy it, so Nix and Chris set
about finding potential clients.
In the fall of 2013 they pitched the idea to Steve Bannon, who at the time was running
Breitbart News.
Now Bannon was a close friend to Robert Mercer, a hedge fund billionaire who since 2006 has
donated $35 million to the Republican Party.
Robert was very interested in the Ripon platform and he eventually agreed to invest $5 million
in SCL's latest venture: a subsidiary called Cambridge Analytica that was created specifically
to operate in the US.
To entice Republicans, Robert would donate to their campaigns in exchange for them hiring
Cambridge Analytica.
The first major client of Cambridge Analytica was Ted Cruz, but it turns out that he never
got to use Ripon even after spending almost $6 million on it.
According to Cruz, the platform was full of bugs and wasn't being developed at a proper
pace.
One theory suggests the following explanation: while Ted Cruz was busy campaigning, the staff
at AggregateIQ was directing their full attention towards Great Britain ahead of the Brexit
vote.
There they seem to have had a much more significant impact, at least economically: in fact, 40%
of the Leave campaign's entire budget was spent on AggregateIQ.
Right now the British government is investigating whether AggregateIQ and the Leave campaign
broke election spending laws by shifting money around through several different organizations.
Now, whether the Ripon platform had any effect on the Brexit vote is hard to say, even considering
how close it was.
The situation with Trump's election is a similar story.
The Trump campaign spent $6 million on Cambridge Analytica, but $5 million of that went towards
TV ads.
Campaign staff is more-or-less in agreement that the company had very little to do with
Trump's victory, and while there are conflicting accounts, one particular source points towards
a potential endgame for Cambridge Analytica.
Supposedly, Alexander Nix and Nigel Oakes were hoping to leverage Cambridge Analytica's
publicity around Brexit and Trump (regardless of any actual involvement there) with the
idea of selling the company and its incomplete platform to the highest bidder.
That way Nix could fade away from the current mess and Nigel would be free to continue his
election business in developing countries.
Unfortunately for them, Christopher Wylie decided to share his story with the Guardian,
and that's how this whole scandal came into view.
Considering just how bad the situation is, it's unlikely that the business Nigel and
Alexander had going would remain around for much longer.

What is The STRONGEST/BEST Pokemon Type? - Duration: 13:05.Well it's been about 2 weeks since I uploaded the what is the worst Pokemon type video,
and I got say I did not expect to see the support I actually got on it.
And I'm not just talking about viewcount I mean the like to dislike ratio was great
and for the most part you guys in the comment section agreed with me.
So with all that support in mind it got my mind thinking more and more about Pokemon
types.
And so I thought, what is the Strongest or Best Pokemon Type?
And well Today I think I've come up with the correct answer to that very question.
What I'll be factoring in to this video is type effectiveness, resistances, weaknesses,
statistical averages of all pokemon of that type, and how good of moves there are for
that type.
And Just like the last pokemon type video to avoid making this longer than it has to
be we will only be taking a look at 3 possible candidates.
Because we all know types like Normal Bug and Ice have no business being anywhere near
this video.
And as you guys know videos like these are 100% my own opinion but with the categories
I'll be looking at I am going to be as objective as possible.
But of course leave a comment if you disagree.
If you guys enjoy this video be sure to leave a like subscribe and share this video with
a friend and with that being said let's get started.
Well when talking about the strongest pokemon type, I'm pretty sure in most peoples minds
the first one to come up has to be the Dragon typing.
And who can really blame them?
Stat wise these things are absolute MONSTERS with only one stat line averaging under 90.
But honestly there is so much more to it than just stats.
For 1 I think the best thing about this typing isn't just its stats, but also the moves
that pair along with it.
To me I think Dragon has by far the most powerful movepool with strong attacks on both sides
like draco meteor, outrage, dragon pulse, and dragon claw.
Not to mention it has one of the best set up moves in dragon dance but eh what do I
know?
And I know this typing is only super effective against itself, but like I said with these
stats and these powerful moves, I dont care who are those attacks are going to hurt a
lot.
Speaking of type effectiveness I think we should also mention how good Dragon's resistances
actually are.
Having those resistantances to fire water grass and electric are key to its success.
Especially with water, electric and fire being so common in the metagame.
And as for weaknesses Pre Gen 6 this typing was A BEAST only having 2 weaknesses to ice
and itself and only 1 type actually resisting it being steel.
And as you guys know from the last pokemon type video Ice while a very strong offensive
type, can easily be countered because of its lack of defense.
And as for the other weakness that really just comes down to whos faster and stronger.
The only REAL problem I see here is the steel typing, well that and of course the fairy
type added in generation 6.
Now once Pokemon X and Y brought the new typing in fairy Dragon got a serious nerf competitively.
For 1 fairy is immune to its attacks which sucks, and 2 fairy is super effective against
it.
And considering fairy types are VERY common in the current meta the value for dragon types
have seriously depreciated.
Not to the point where no one wants to use it because trust me there still VERY effective
in competitive just look at garchomp, salamence, latios, or charizard X im just saying they
arent as good as they once were.
If this was Pre-Generation 6 and Fairy types never exsisted, than there's no question
who the best type is.
But since Fairy types are a thing the gap has significantly closened.
But who knows maybe thats still not enough.
Now when I did the video on the Top 5 Strongest Dual types I made it a point to mention how
good the steel typing actually is.
I mean come on I had to make a rule for the list to prevent the steel type from showing
up multiple times.
Like seriously it works so well with so many types.
There's dragon, ghost, fairy, even bug.
So to me when devising a video on the Strongest Pokemon type, it's a no brainer that we
at least have to mention the steel typing.
It's by far the BEST defensive typing with a grand total of 10 yes 10 resistances and
1 immunity to poison.
And these resistances aren't all bad typings either there are some very strong types here.
You got Dragon, Fairy, Flying, and although rock isn't a good typing having that resistance
to stealth rocks is also very nice to have.
So as you can tell this typing is mainly used as a defense wall and the overall average
stats really reflect that.
It's got AMAZING physical defense and passable special defense.
And while yes it is the Ultimate defensive typing it's not that bad offensively too.
Sure pre-gen 6 it only was super effective against Ice and Rock, but with the addition
of the fairy type Steel has become a lot more useful offensively too.
Pair that along with the already great overall physical attack and you got some things you
can work with here.
But again thats the only real use for it offensively.
Now as for moves go you got a few but really good attacks in bullet punch, gyro ball, iron
head, flash cannon and meteor mash.
And although there arent that many special attacks to work with, it doesn't really
matter because steel really focuses on its physical attack.
But here's the thing about this typing though.
While yes it is the Ultimate defensive typing there still are some serious problems defensively.
For 1 while it only has 3 weaknesses to Fire, Ground, and Fighting all three of those typings
are very prevelant in the current metagame.
Steel especially has a problem with fire because offensively it can go both ways being physical
or special.
And as you can tell steel's special defense isnt that amazing is just passable.
And to go along with that I think I might have over exaggerated a little on how good
steel is offensively.
While yes it does do well against fairy common types like electric, fire and water all resist
steel.
But honestly with all of the negatives in mind I still think the pros far outweigh the
cons here.
Now I'm not gonna lie, I always knew the steel typing was a very strong type, but I
would have never thought that it would ever come close to being the best typing.
But it just goes to show, don't judge a book by its cover.
And finally the last typing we are going to be talking about today is one that I've
been constantly mentioning throughout this entire video.
The newly added type from generation 6 Fairy.
Now on the surface A name like fairy doesn't come off as strong or even good but man does
this typing tear down that stereotype.
Now as we all know pre gen 6 Dragon was running a muck in the competitive meta.
So much so that it really needed a nerf to bring it down a notch.
And Fairy was that necessary addition.
Funny thing is though, this typing was brought in to nerf an OP type, but in the process
of that fairy became OP with in itself.
It's one of if not the most effective offensive typings with super effective hits against
3 really strong types in dark fighting and of course dragon.
And stat wise Fairy aint no slouch either with great statlines in both its special attack
and special defense.
Speaking of which defensively I think fairy is a little underrated.
Like I said it's got great special defense to go along with 3 ressistances to bug dark
and fighting.
But I think what's so key for fairy defensively has to be that immunity it gets to dragon.
That's a game changer considering how powerful the dragon typing is and only 1 other type
resists its attacks.
Now as for a movepool, it definetely isn't very vast with the only good attacking moves
being moonblast, dazzling gleam, and play rough.
It does suck that there is only really 1 good physical attacking move but its more of a
special attacking type anyways so I guess its ok.
But I do have to say As a side note Fairy also gets an AMAZING ability in pixelate which
turns normal type moves into fairy.
So along with the 3 moves I mentioned you also get access to more great stab moves like
hyper voice and return.
But I know not all fairies get access to this ability but it is interesting to mention.
I will say though while this typing is very good, it's not without its faults.
I think the worst thing about fairy has to be that its average physical defense is nowhere
near as good as its special defense.
I say this is bad because those 2 types fairy is weak to are more know for the physical
attacks than special.
Sure poison isnt that amazing of a type, but on average steel has around base 105 attack.
You can basically say goodbye at that point.
And steel can serve as a hard counter to fairy because of the fact that it along with fire
and poison also resists all of fairies attacks.
Pair all of these faults with the fact that fairies have mediocre speed it can make things
a bit more difficult.
But all in all the offensive capabilities are there but is that enough to make it the
best type?
Let's find out.
Well now that we've taken a closer look at what I think are the 3 best types in the
game it's time to decide which one gets the coveted title of being the best of the
rest.
And well when you add everything up the best pokemon type has to be… (drumroll) The Steel
type.
I'm gonna be honest with you guys here going into this video I was planning on crowning
fairy the clear cut goat.
But after the research I just can't justify myself doing that.
Steel is just too good defensively, good enough offensively, and the best type to combine
with.
I mean seriously some of the best competitive pokemon have the steel type latched onto it.
There's mawile, metagross, klefki, celesteela, skarmory, aggron I can go on for days.
To put it in basketball terms Steel is like the lebron james of pokemon types its a great
complimentary piece, can work well with almost anything, and it's great all around.
(since Im guessing you dont know much about pokemon just ask me what to put here ill tell
you) What can I say steel type is the GOAT.
Thank you guys so much for watching if you guys enjoyed the video be sure to leave a

Pokemon type you think is the best.
