Four million reasons not to say goodbye
Three words that won't even describe
The two of us are one of a kind
Come get a little closer to my side
To my side
Closer to my side
To my side
We fell in love under the stars
You held me close and stole my heart
We lit the sky and made it ours
From here to Mars
We're in love
ah ah
We're in love
ah ah
You could see the love in both our hearts
Like shooting stars
From here to Mars
Forever lost inside your eyes
Every galaxy spinning inside
The view from here is so sublime
The kind that turns the day to the night
Come get a little closer to my side
To my side
Closer to my side
To my side
We fell in love under the stars

5 Unrealistic Relationship Expectations We Learned From Romantic Comedy - Duration: 4:31.
I love a good romantic comedy.
The unforgettable meat cutes,
public declarations of love,
and of course,
the happily ever afters.
But where are these people?
Rom-coms are notorious for
promoting unrealistic relationship expectations
because real-life relationships just can't compete.
Sure, real relationships have their fair share of romantic moments–
just not nearly as just not nearly as many perfectly timed ones
like we see on the big screen.
In short, It's totally possible to love romantic comedies
without it influencing your real relationships,
and I'm gonna tell you how to do it.
The first rom-com-inspired expectation we've got to debunk is:
love at first sight.
We've seen it a thousand times
and I get it.
A movie is roughly 2 hours,
so writers only have so much time to tell a full of story.
Having the protagonists fall in love at first sight helps get straight to the action.
But as anyone who's been on a dating app can tell you,
that's not really love, but lust at first sight.
Here's what you should do instead.
Recognize these sudden feelings
for what they are and nothing more.
Real love takes time to grow and develop.
Give it that time.
Number two: Real love must be proven through grand romantic gestures.
Grand gestures are what make these movies so exciting.
I mean, who doesn't swoon when 'The Notebook's Noah builds a dream home for Allie
or when Lloyd blasts 'In Your Eyes' at the end of 'Say Anything'?
But in real life, a grand romantic gesture can fail miserably
or even come off as creepy.
Instead, celebrate the little things.
Every day is filled with small opportunities to show
your partner you love them.
Something as simple as breakfast in bed
or even just a sweet text goes a long way.
Number three: When someone says they're not interested,
they just need to be won over.
"Can't Buy Me Love,"
"10 Things I Hate About You",
"Superbad"
the list is unending.
This classic nerdy guy gets the popular girl trope
encourages viewers to root for the underdog.
But in real life — pressuring someone to fall for you just doesn't fly.
Instead, take them at their word, and move on.
Wouldn't you rather date someone who's just as into you as you are into them anyway?
That person is out there, so it's best to put your romantic energy into finding them.
Number four: You'll find someone who "completes you."
Holy "Jerry Maguire" does this one come up a lot.
Rom-coms promote the idea that after you find "The One",
nothing else really matters.
Movie characters will totally uproot
their lives if it means they can be with their person.
After all, who needs a fulfilling and satisfying career when you have love?
Answer: everyone.
Instead, be with someone who complements you,
not completes you.
It's important to maintain individual interest and personal relationships
outside of your romance.
And finally, once you're in a relationship,
everything is perfect.
Romantic comedies traditionally
end at the beginning of the protagonists relationship
because viewers want to see them live happily ever after.
But life goes on after you finally get the girl or the guy.
Instead, go into a new relationship knowing you're gonna have fights
because your partner's not a mind reader
and surprise, surprise, neither are you.
There will be days where you and your partner might not like each other,
but that doesn't mean you won't still love each other.
Ultimately, entering a relationship with fewer expectations
can create more opportunities to be grateful
for the small, everyday moments that make up
your love story.
That's all I have for you this week.
Tune in next time.
Love, Lindsay.

Our People Make What We Do Possible - Cyber Security - Duration: 0:40.
Girls are always shocked when they see another young woman programming.
I think that really drives me.
I am a cyber software engineer at Northrop Grumman.
I think the biggest misconception is that it's just an attacker who sits in a basement
hacking away.
It's not just hacking and defending, there's a lot more to it.
At Northrop, we really support each other, which is really critical because there is
so many different types of attacks.
You're trying to find out one piece of information that will lead to finding the next terrorist,
or finding some key information.
When you stop it, when you find the solution quickly, it's an amazing feeling.

What can we learn from the life of Apostle Paul? | GotQuestions.org - Duration: 9:22.
Today's question is, "What can we learn from the life of Paul?
Who was Paul?"
In this video I'll answer that question from a biblical perspective.
Afterwards, as always, I'll share some helpful resources, so stick around until the end.
There is much we can learn from the life of the apostle Paul.
Far from ordinary, Paul was given the opportunity to do extraordinary things for the kingdom
of God.
The story of Paul is a story of redemption in Jesus Christ and a testimony that no one
is beyond the saving grace of the Lord.
However, to gain the full measure of the man, we must examine his dark side and what he
symbolized before becoming "the Apostle of Grace."
Paul's early life was marked by religious zeal, brutal violence, and the relentless
persecution of the early church.
Fortunately, the later years of Paul's life show a marked difference as he lived his life
for Christ and for the advancement of His kingdom.
Paul was actually born as Saul.
He was born in Tarsus in Cilicia around AD 1–5 in a province in the southeastern corner
of modern-day Tersous, Turkey.
He was of Benjamite lineage and Hebrew ancestry.
His parents were Pharisees—fervent Jewish nationalists who adhered strictly to the Law
of Moses—who sought to protect their children from "contamination" from the Gentiles.
Anything Greek would have been despised in Saul's household, yet he could speak Greek
and passable Latin.
His household would have spoken Aramaic, a derivative of Hebrew, which was the official
language of Judea.
Saul's family were Roman citizens but viewed Jerusalem as a truly sacred and holy city.
At age thirteen Saul was sent to Palestine to learn from a rabbi named Gamaliel, under
whom Saul mastered Jewish history, the Psalms, and the works of the prophets.
His education would continue for five or six years as Saul learned such things as dissecting
Scripture.
It was during this time that he developed a question-and-answer style of teaching known
in ancient times as "diatribe."
This method of articulation helped rabbis debate the finer points of Jewish law to either
defend or prosecute those who broke the law.
Saul went on to become a lawyer, and all signs pointed to his becoming a member of the Sanhedrin,
the Jewish Supreme Court of 71 men who ruled over Jewish life and religion.
Saul was zealous for his faith, and this faith did not allow for compromise.
It is this zeal that led Saul down the path of religious extremism.
In Acts 5:27–42, Peter delivered his defense of the gospel and of Jesus in front of the
Sanhedrin, which Saul would have heard.
Gamaliel was also present and delivered a message to calm the council and prevent them
from stoning Peter.
Saul might also have been present at the trial of Stephen.
He was present for his stoning and death; he held the garments of those who did the
stoning.
After Stephen's death, "a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem"
(Acts 8:1).
Saul became determined to eradicate Christians, ruthless in his pursuit as he believed he
was acting in the name of God.
Arguably, there is no one more frightening or more vicious than a religious terrorist,
especially when he believes he is doing the will of the Lord by killing innocent people.
This is exactly what Saul of Tarsus was: a religious terrorist.
Acts 8:3 states, "He began ravaging the church, entering house after house, and dragging
off men and women, he would put them in prison."
The pivotal passage in Paul's story is Acts 9:1–22, which recounts Paul's meeting
with Jesus Christ on the road from Jerusalem to Damascus, a journey of about 150 miles.
Saul was angered by what he had seen and filled with murderous rage against the Christians.
Before departing on his journey, he had asked the high priest for letters to the synagogues
in Damascus, asking for permission to bring any Christians (followers of "the Way,"
as they were known) back to Jerusalem to imprison them.
On the road Saul was caught in a bright light from heaven that caused him to fall face down
on the ground.
He heard the words, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?"
He replied, "Who are you Lord?"
Jesus answered directly and clearly, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting" (verses
4–5).
As an aside, this might not have been Saul's first encounter with Jesus, as some scholars
suggest that young Saul might have known of Jesus and that he might have actually witnessed
His death.
From that moment on, Saul's life was turned upside down.
The light of the Lord blinded him, and as he traveled on he had to rely on his companions.
As instructed by Jesus, Saul continued to Damascus to make contact with a man named
Ananias, who was hesitant at first to meet Saul because he knew Saul's reputation as
an evil man.
But the Lord told Ananias that Saul was a "chosen instrument" to carry His name
before the Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel and would suffer for doing so.
Ananias followed the Lord's instructions and found Saul, on whom he laid hands, and
told him of his vision of Jesus Christ.
Through prayer, Saul received the Holy Spirit, regained his sight, and was baptized.
Saul immediately went into the synagogues and proclaimed Jesus as the Son of God.
The people were amazed and skeptical, as Saul's reputation was well known.
The Jews thought he had come to take away the Christians, but he had in fact joined
them.
Saul's boldness increased as the Jews living in Damascus were confounded by Saul's arguments
proving that Jesus was the Christ.
Saul spent time in Arabia, Damascus, Jerusalem, Syria, and his native Cilicia, and Barnabas
enlisted his help to teach those in the church in Antioch.
Interestingly, the Christians driven out of Judea by the persecution that arose after
Stephen's death founded this multiracial church.
Saul took his first of three missionary journeys in the late AD 40s.
As he spent more time in Gentile areas, Saul began to go by his Roman name Paul.
Paul wrote many of the New Testament books.
Most theologians are in agreement that he wrote Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Galatians,
Philippians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, Philemon, Ephesians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Timothy, and
Titus.
These thirteen "letters" (or epistles) make up the "Pauline Authorship" and are
the primary source of his theology.
As previously noted, the book of Acts gives us a historical look at Paul's life and
times.
The apostle Paul spent his life proclaiming the risen Christ Jesus throughout the Roman
world, often at great personal peril.
It is assumed that Paul died a martyr's death in the mid-to-late AD 60s in Rome.
So, what can we learn from the life of the apostle Paul?
First, we learn that God can save anyone.
The remarkable story of Paul repeats itself every day as sinful, broken people all over
the world are transformed by God's saving grace in Jesus Christ.
Some of these people have done despicable things to other human beings, while some just
try to live a moral life thinking that God will smile upon them on the day of judgment.
When we read the story of Paul, we are amazed that God would allow into heaven a religious
extremist who murdered innocent women and children.
Today, we might see terrorists or other criminals as unworthy of redemption because their crimes
against humanity are just too great.
The story of Paul is a story that can be told today—he isn't worthy in our eyes of a
second chance, yet God granted him mercy.
The truth is that every person matters to God, from the "good, decent," average
person to the "wicked, evil," degenerate one.
Only God can save a soul from hell.
Second, we learn from the life of Paul that anyone can be a humble, powerful witness for
Jesus Christ.
Arguably, no other human figure in the Bible demonstrated more humility while sharing the
gospel of Jesus Christ as Paul.
Acts 20:19 tells us that he "served the Lord with all humility and with tears and
with trials that happened to [him] through the plots of the Jews."
In Acts 28:31, Paul shares the good news of Jesus Christ: "Boldly and without hindrance
he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ."
Paul was not afraid to tell others what the Lord had done for him.
Paul spent all his days, from conversion to martyrdom, working tirelessly for the kingdom
of God.
Finally, we learn that anyone can surrender completely to God.
Paul was fully committed to God.
In Philippians 1:12–14, Paul wrote from prison, "I want you to know, brothers, that
what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel, so that it has become
known throughout the whole imperial guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is
for Christ.
And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more
bold to speak the word without fear."
Despite his circumstances, Paul praised God and continually shared the good news.
Through his hardships and suffering, Paul knew the outcome of a life well lived for
Christ.
He had surrendered his life fully, trusting God for everything.
He wrote, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21).
Can we make the same claim?

Here We Are - Original Song - Kristen J Lloyd - Duration: 2:51.
Here we are,
two simple strings both strung along the same guitar,
So much the same yet,
two completely different hearts
with different scars,
Two simple strings strung along the same guitar,
Here we are,
tell me when did simple melodies become so hard?
To play without the dance of mutual disregard,
of who we are,
as two simple strings strung along the same guitar
If we could only hear the music we were meant to be,
maybe we could find the way to mend our melody
Here we are
the silence is as deafening as a falling star
the years since there was music from this old guitar,
we went to far
two broken strings on a silent old guitar,
If we could only hear the music we were meant to be,
maybe we could find the way to mend our melody
Here we are
two strings who miss the music from this old guitar,
the bond we share yet can't repair
to heal the heart
of who we are
as two simple strings strung along the same guitar

Is 10,000 Steps For 30 Days Worth It? We Find Out... - Duration: 11:28.
We walked 10,000 steps every day for 30 days.
Find out what happened.
Hi, I'm Zena and I'm doing the 10,000
steps a day challenge because I want to
try and make my baseline activity for
the day a little more active.
My name is Fatima
I decided to do the 10,000 steps
challenge because I thought I wasn't walking enough
I'm Kim and I signed up to do the 10,000 steps a day
for the accountability
Hi, I'm Erica. I'm doing the 10,000 steps challenge
because I know I definitely don't walk enough
I'm hoping after 30 days that I'll see a
little bit more definition, I think that's always good
and I think it's really cool to be able to see those
kind of results from just walking
because I think people would think like
walking, not really a form of exercise
but there's old ladies out there getting it
with their steps in every day and
they seem pretty limber and fit
I'm hoping to lose a little weight because I
feel that I don't exercise enough and
that'll push me a little
I feel like I'm skinny fat
and I'd like to decrease my body fat percentage
I would love to feel
a little bit more mobile and less stiff
and also reduce stress
How many steps a day would you say you typically take?
I think I take average 3,000 to 4,000
I usually take between 3,000 and 5,000
steps a day and that's thanks to my dog
You know what's sad? I actually walk to work currently
You do?
I do! And I still only get like 5,000 steps a day
because I live very close to work
I usually take about probably 2,000 to
3,000 a day during the week
on the weekends it's different probably like
20,000 because I like to go on long hikes
Do you know why you're supposed to
take 10,000 steps a day or have you heard that before?
I've heard it but I don't know why.
Maybe it originates from the past because
I know back in the day they used to walk like six miles a day
I'll link this article below but apparently
the 10,000 steps myth came about in the 1960s
when a Japanese company started selling pedometers
which is a very good way of getting people to buy pedometers
setting an arbitrary number that's high and telling them that
they need to step that much every day
but studies later confirmed that people
who take 10,000 steps a day have lower
blood pressure, they have more stable
glucose levels and better moods – which I'm all about
You know, I get quite moody and I am looking
forward to seeing if that is going to add a noticeable lift to my day
Today marks Day 1 of 30
I am currently at 8,900 which is pretty good
I walked to work today which was
nice I've been telling myself to do this forever
So, it is almost nine o'clock and I just
brushed my teeth I have already put on pajamas
I'm like fully ready to wind down
and start getting ready for bed
and realize I only have nine thousand steps so...
gonna put pants on again
and go out there for another thousand
It is day seven how are we doing so far, Kim?
I think I'm not doing so well...
How many days did you successfully walk 10,000 steps?
Confidently, three days
I walked 10,000 steps three times
I have successfully completed seven for seven walking 10,000 steps
I walked 10,000 step for six days
I've actually been in a really great mood the last few days
I feel good I think knowing that I'm taking a lot of steps actually makes me feel great
For me I think it's a little bit too soon to tell if I feel any different
I'm excited for the next three weeks
I think it's been good so far
I'm getting a lot of audiobooks in
Okay, guys. Seven days done
stay tuned to see how the rest of it goes...
will we make it?
I'm getting ready to go do my walk it's
a little early but um it feels good
the morning feels good
I'm only 6,500 steps in
so I'm taking a post-work walk with my dog
she's really enjoying this challenge
It's like now finally 9 o'clock
and I still have 5,000 steps to go
this is probably the hardest day so far for this challenge
Steps challenge life hack
you can get about 5000 steps in 30 minutes...
on the jump rope!
We have completed week two
of the 10,000 steps a day challenge
Kim, how's it going?
I'm struggling!
How many days of the week
of the past week have you completed 10,000 steps
I would say five
That's really good!
It's good but it's a struggle!
This week I walked 10,000 steps for three days straight
I have miraculously hit 7 for 7
I think now I'm just on a streak
and I'm stubborn I'm like don't
want to break it but it does involve a
lot of like "Okay, 10 o'clock at night and
I still have 3000 to go."
Mmhmm.
Gotta get up and walk around the living room
I think I walk 10,000 steps
maybe once or twice only
This week wasn't good
So that is the end of Week 2
Let's see how we do for the last two, Kim!
It is a Saturday morning
It's been so lovely and lazy
I'm just watching MasterChef and Queer Eye
but lo and behold
it's almost 12 o'clock and I have 132 steps
Ahh!
Just getting home we have about four flights
of stairs to climb that should get me
maybe a hundred steps maybe two
and...
jackpot!
Okay, so we are in Week 3 and
I am still struggling!
I'm really behind
I think I'm the one who's got the lowest score
I feel like the step nazi
This one over here has like 12,000 or 13,000
I've taken up a new hobby
I now jump rope every morning for about five minutes
Nice!
This week to get my steps in
I actually have just been like having a dance party at home
By yourself?
By myself! Really cool...
You know, I tried this morning
to step in my shower while I was showering
Getting your steps in is not cool
it's like walking around your block
by yourself without a dog
or pacing around your friends
or like dancing in your living room by yourself
My biggest challenge is that
I don't find enough time during my day
I think just the nature of working a desk job it is
challenging by itself and also having
travelled for work recently
I don't know... I don't really know what the
benefits I'm feeling are
I don't know that I feel more fit
but I feel more mentally in a good place
Mmhmm I agree with that
I think I'm still snacking a lot more
Me too! Yeah, yeah.
Once I start walking I'm just feeling great
Yeah and I think mentally it's
become almost like a measure of success
for a good day like I made it 10,000 steps
I can go to bed, I'm happy
That's week three!
Stay tuned one more week left
let's do this
I am about 3,000 steps in at 6:00 p.m.
so I am about to go outside and go for a hike
The most annoying thing has happened
my headphones have gone on the fritz
I realized how much I rely on listening to things
to get through 10,000 steps a day
and now that it's not working I don't want to walk anywhere
I'm over it
So we've reached the end of our 30 day challenge
How'd you finish up here in the last week?
Disastrous
My last week was good
I made almost 20,000 steps
probably five days a week
My average for the month was 11,000 a day
Well I kind of stepped up 3,000 steps a day
I think my average is about 7,000
I think my average was about 8,000
That's probably twice as much as it was!
Prior to this, yeah
Yeah definitely
I think I gained weight on this challenge
Oh, I'm sure I did
and that kind of upset me and was probably
part of the reason I just blew it on the last day
I still lost a pound
I gained weight!
last day I still left it bound I gained
It must be from walking to
get snacks or because I traded my
workouts for long walks
instead I gained half a pound okay but I
did lose on my waist and I lost body fat
so maybe I gained muscle
I think my body fat was about the same
and I did lose an inch
What advice would you give to someone who wanted to attempt 10,00 steps a day?
I think if you have the time to do it
it'll be much easier
Get comfortable shoes
and be prepared to give up some social time
Also be mindful of your diet
because you will be snacking often
And get a good watch, something that can track your
steps accurately so you want to check it
every day and stay motivated
I think I was looking for more physical changes
throughout this challenge and that didn't happen
but I still really enjoyed it and I think I actually will
continue to try and be mindful about how
many steps I'm getting a day and try
hit closer to 10,000
I think it's a really interesting challenge to be more
mindful of how much you walk and also
what you put your time towards
Okay that marks the end of
our 10,000 steps a day challenge
If you enjoyed, go ahead and like this video
Comment below with anything else we should try for 30 days
and let us know if you have completed this challenge

- Going into a park and sleeping with 500 strangers,
yeah, I mean that sounds kind of scary.
I'm Max Richter, I'm a composer,
and I've written a work called Sleep.
Which is an eight and a half hour piece of music,
which we're going to perform here in Grand Park over night.
(string music)
Sleep is, in a way, my favorite activity.
I've always felt there is something
very fundamental about it.
We live in obviously a very technocratic,
contemporary world, and sleep is a way to,
kind of, reconnect with our sort of basic organic existence.
The sonic finger print of Sleep is quite unusual.
The ensemble is string quintet,
piano,
semi-soprano,
and a lot of electronic music.
- While it is sort of a chamber orchestra performing,
sound and the amplification are
really like an additional player.
It's a 3D sort of immersive surround system,
and actually what we're hearing here in Los Angeles
is the first time that this type of sound system
is being used in the world.
So people are going to experience this sound
that nobody ever has heard before.
- When I got to writing Sleep,
I checked in with a friend of mine,
David Eagleman, a neuroscientist
to look at some the research that's being done,
to do with sound and it's effect on the sleeping mind.
Now low frequency sound, repetitive sounds,
can work as a kind of consolidation.
For memory and learning, and all of these sorts of things.
What I've done is I've modeled the listening experience
of the unborn child hears inside the mother.
- I think it's incredibly generous of the performer,
or group of performers,
to say they'll perform for eight hours.
- Playing Sleep is a big physical challenge,
you know, I have 250 pages of piano music
at the beginning of the evening to play through.
You have to get sort of jet lagged the right amount
so that it's morning when we start.
You get very stiff, it's physically very tough.
I think of Sleep in a way also as a protest song.
I guess it's a kind of a critique on
our sort of very screen-based culture.
You know, we're on 24/7.
So much of our lives is lived in this sort of virtual space.
Music performance is a real time, unique event,
which people do together.
It's that conversation between the music and the audience,
the performers and the audience,
and also the communal act of,
ya know, hearing music together.
Of course, people will use their phones.
And because we're so habituated to do that,
I would encourage people to try and not do that,
to try and sort of just get off
the hamster wheel for a minute.
And actually experience it,
ya know, in real life, in real time.
I think in a way of the music as a kind of big pause button,
on our sort of information saturated culture.
I feel like that single unique experience
of going through the night that the listeners have,
that's really at the heart of the piece.
And for people to take sort of eight hours,
just off their screens, offline.
Then all those sorts of big questions which
we normally don't have time to think about,
or we maybe distract ourselves from deliberately,
ya know, love, life, death, the big questions,
they all come up.
- I have some issues in my life
right now that I'm dealing with
and I'm feeling like this kind of helped me
lift
my whole energy around that.
- It gave a voice to this yearning and longing
that's inside you and it was amazing the way
it was happening right here with the traffic
and the helicopters and the garbage trucks going by,
and it brought it out into the real world.
And it all came together in something that was
unlike anything I'd ever experienced.
- Sleeping is an intimate, private activity.
We're defenseless when we're asleep.
Coming to an event like this is also an act of trust.
There is a strong sense of community in the audience,
ya know, the people sort of going through this together.
It has a sort of camp fire feel.
So there a no high frequencies in Sleep,
until about the last hour.
And then the frequency spectrum opens up
and we get a kind of a sunrise in the music.
(piano chords)
All of these sort of very virtualizing technologies we have
tend to take us away from ourselves.
Culture, creativity, these things are very good
at sort of bringing us into the moment.
For me, ya know, Sleep is a way for people to also connect.
(applause)
(piano chords)
(string music)

The Dream Gene? - Have we Discovered the Genes for Dreams? - BREAKING NEWS - Duration: 4:06.
Hello everyone, I'm Daniel Love, The Lucid Guide.
Today we have some remarkable breaking news in regards to dream research.
In a study led by Hiroki Ueda, researchers at the RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics
Research and the University of Tokyo have identified a pair of essential genes known
as Chrm 1 and Chrm 3.
These newly identified genes have been discovered to regulate the stage of sleep known as rapid
eye movement or REM, the stage that is associated with dreaming.
It has been known for some time that the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and its receptors were important
for the regulation of REM sleep, however, it has been unclear which receptors were directly
involved.
In the brain, there are 16 types of cellular receptors that acetylcholine can bind to,
but it was unknown which were essential to REM sleep and which were redundant.
Using the gene editing technology CRISPR, Japanese researchers modified and screened
mouse genes, one by one, individually knocking out the genes for these acetylcholine receptors
- preventing them from being expressed.
The study soon showed that a certain family of acetylcholine receptors, the nicotinic
type, seemed to have little to do with sleep, and the mice deprived of these appeared to
sleep much like the mice in which they remained.
However, another family, the muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, appeared much more interesting
with the loss of the two receptors known as Chrm1 and Chrm3, shortening sleep by close
to three hours a day.
The loss of either of these receptors fragmented and reduced REM sleep and also impacted and
shortened non-REM sleep.
Those mice without either receptor essentially didn't experience any REM sleep whatsoever.
Surprisingly, the REM-Free mice survived without dreaming sleep, which is contrary to the common
belief that it is necessary for survival.
However, this may be an unintentional side effect of the animals living in the relatively
safe and "provided-for" artificial environment of a lab.
The discovery of these genes is important, as it marks a new and deeper understanding
of the mechanisms of dreaming and sleep.
Lucid dreamers may have already noticed that the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and its
receptors are the very same system targeted by the active ingredients in lucid dreaming
pills, namely galantamine and huperzine-a.
In other words, this discovery could signal the start of a whole new era and scientific
understanding of the dreaming mind.
We are a significant step closer to grasping the mechanisms behind lucid dreaming.
In the words of Ueda, the study leader "This investigation may help molecularly define
REM sleep and may reveal the physiological roles of REM sleep in its closely related
higher cognitive functions, such as learning and memory"
It's a fascinating and potentially groundbreaking discovery.
Don't forget that you can discuss this research and other lucid dreaming topics in our brand
new lucid dreaming forum.
I'll be there to interact with you and answer your questions.
It's easy to sign up and is already full of fascinating lucid dreamers.

DO WE ALREADY HAD AN THREESOME? #TiauloResponde01 - Duration: 13:41.
Hey guys, as everyone asked, we're having Tiaulo Answers.
It's Tiaula, she's a woman. Tiago: Shut up.
We asked you guys to send questions on Instagram (drops cellphone)
Tiago: You're jealous. That's why that happened. Paulo: I broke your phone?
I'm sorry. He's still paying it installments. Tiago: Yeah, I am.
But I'm paying for the iPhone 8, you still have an iPhone 6.
Starting with the first question from Cacau Souza. Tiago: Can I read? Thanks.
"How did you guys meet? He was your first gay boyfriend? Love you guys"
Cacau Souza, pretty and wonderful...
We met on Instagram and yeah, he was my first gay boyfriend.
First and last.
I was with him when I came out. He's important.
"Did you guys had an open relationship before you guys engaged?" Tiago: Yeah, it sucks. Paulo: We only fought.
"Penis size Jk" Paulo: Tiago's 2cm. Tiago: 2 meters. "When did Tiago sacrifice more for you?"
It was when we were traveling to Rio de Janeiro, we were fˆcked up.
The bus stopped and... Tiago: Was it? Paulo: Yeah, on a corner restaurant.
It was a self service restaurant, charged per kg and it was really expensive.
I exaggerated on my plate. Tiago: I knew it was a kg restaurant.
Tiago: And I put one beef only
Paulo: Mine was R$40 and his was only R$10, he didn't even eat. Tiago: Yeah... Paulo: He was feeling sick all the trip. Poor thing.
Next one, "The biggest crazy thing that you've ever done together".
There are a lot of them, including the beds that we... do it...
Friends, I'm sorry, we make sex in every bed that we see.
We even did it in the bed of my friend's mother,
Don't say his name, imagine if he sees this.
The worst was traveling without warning our parents.
Tiago: We were going to stay only two days and thought "let's stay one week".
We spent a lot, we were fˆcked.
When we were back, I was afraid to look to my mom's face.
Your parents didn't gave you money for like... 8 months? Tiago: Yeah.
We call ourselves "friends", it's our thing.
Raquel asked a lot of things, "Where did you guys first kissed?" Paulo: Bathroom Tiago: "Have you guys ever broke up?" Paulo: Yeah, we're going to make a video just about this.
"What was the hardest part of you guys relationship?" Paulo: When we broke up.
"Who's the bottom and who's the top?"
You can say by our expressions. Paulo: Appearances fool.
"When will you guys get married?" I can not wait. We don't do it because we are broken.
We're still paying our engagement rings.
Question of "Diego Cardoso", "Since you guys have a lot of influence on the LGBT community, what's the message for your followers?"
I think you have to be you, do not give up on your origin and be happy with being who you are.
I'm sticking with Paulo. His words are my words.
"Have you ever experienced a situation that you guys have been prejudiced?"
Paulo: In my home with my mom, she was being biased against us. It's better today.
I went out crying. I posted stories about it.
It was with my mom.
"When did you guys find out that you were gay? Was there a denial phase?"
The first time that I kissed a boy I had 16, I discovered kinda late. Yeah, I had a denial phase, we all do.
I was really young, I denied a lot. Tiago: You told me you were hetero LOL. Paulo: I discovered when I was 9, when Rebelde aired, I played with my sister like I was Roberta and she was Diego. She's not lesbian, but I'm gay. I had my first kiss when I was 12.
It was a guy that thought that I was a girl. I was dating a person on Twitter and the entire school discovered and I was denying it. When I met him I told I was hetero.
"Where did you meet Paulo? How it was?"
I met him on Instagram. Paulo: How it was? It was my birthday, I asked him to send me nudes and he did it.
You did it! *Both arguing*
@_cosmos asked, "What your family thought about the relationship? Love u guys"
We love you guys too.
Paulo: His family always was okay with me, we have dinner with his parents. I'm laughing but I was worried, mine was the problem, they are really religious.
It was really hard, but now it's okay. Tiago: I love your family so much.
Like I love to take a shit after I take a shower.
"Was there a point where you guys didn't care anymore about what people said about your relationship?"
Ever since we started people said bad things about us, but we never cared. Paulo: To the people that say things about me, here it is.
Tiago: Put your cellphone in there! Paulo: Stop it!
Paulo: That's right, I'm a b*tch.
I'm horrible.
"Who had the first attitude?"
Tiago: Me Paulo: You always had the attitude.
"What happened with ****?" Paulo: We don't talk with her anymore. So we are not talking about her.
What happened it her is that, it was good and it ended. Tiago: Everything that's unreal ends. Paulo: Everything has an end but not us.
"Have you ever done a threesome?" Paulo, I miss it.: Yeah Tiago: Yeah
Tiago: I don't miss it.
"Who's the blowjob queen?"
Both: You.
Both again: You!
"Have you guys ever done something naughty in public?"
Yes, everytime we are horny.
Paulo: Am I lying? Tiago: You are! We are not like this.
We did it in the bathroom... TIago: Look at Paulo's butt. Paulo: We were at a friends house
Everyone was eating, then they finished eating and went to the living room.
We told that we were going to the kitchen, but we were like, rubbing ourselves.
Her parrot was like ^O^
Tiago: She will know it's her. Paulo: We didn't do nothing wrong.
Paulo: The parrot was mad.
You have to do these things.
Tiago: Get out of here, I'm hetero.
Mens are good, but they have dˆck.
