Brexit no deal rejected by MPs - but there's one major problem - News Live - Duration: 1:45.

MPs have ordered Theresa May to reject no deal Brexit. The amendment, which was proposed by Tory MP Caroline Spelman and Labour's Jack Dromey, passed by just eight votes

While 318 voted to back the amendment, 310 voted against. It "rejects the United Kingdom leaving the European Union without a Withdrawal Agreement and a Framework for the Future Relationship"

It doesn't require the government to do anything legally but it shows clearly the feeling of the Commons

It was the first backbench amendment to win on Tuesday night. But the amendment's success came after MPs rejected a bid to delay Brexit in order to prevent a no-deal departure from the European Union - and so increasing the chance of a No Deal departure

Labour former minister Yvette Cooper's call for an extension of Article 50 to keep the UK in the EU until the end of the year in order to reach a deal was defeated by 321 votes to 298, majority 23

It was supported by the Labour frontbench as well as Tories including Nick Boles

And another cross-party amendment, tabled by Labour's Rachel Reeves, which would have required the Prime Minister to seek an extension of Article 50 if no deal had been reached by February 26, was also defeated

Earlier, MPs rejected a bid by Jeremy Corbyn to force a debate on Labour's Brexit plans

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has reiterated his belief that anyone could do the job that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing at Manchester United

Solskjaer won his first eight games in charge of United before a 2-2 draw at home to Burnley in midweek, while he takes his side to Leicester's King Power Stadium on Sunday

But following his appointment at Jose Mourinho's successor, Ince claimed that he or former United teammate Steve Bruce - currently in charge of Sheffield Wednesday - could have taken the job

"The shackles are off, but that doesn't mean that Ole is the right man for the job," Ince told Paddy Power News last month

"I could have gone in and done the same thing, so could Steve Bruce. "Anyone could have gone in and done what he has done, it wasn't a hard thing to do to give those players freedom and improve the mood

" And INce repeated those claims on BT Sport on Saturday, when asked by Robbie Savage if he believed 'anyone' could do the job

"I believe they could yes," he said. "I think I could have gone in at the time

They needed someone to rest the ship, I think I could have done that. "Brucie (Steve Bruce) could have done it, Mark Hughes could have done it

" Ince then joked that fellow guest Chris Sutton could have done the job, before adding: "Oh no, not you!" But another guest, the former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock - who used to be managed by Ince at Blackburn - disagreed with Ince's comments

"I don't think anyone could have done it," he said. "I think he's (Solskjaer) made big calls

" However when challenged by Savage, and faced with Ince's menacing stare, Warnock appeared to back down

A mother-of-one almost took her own life after failing to lose weight - but was stopped when her three-year-old daughter sweetly giggled in her sleep

Jennifer Malik, 29, thought she was a 'fat, useless mum' as she was so large she couldn't play properly with her daughter Naomi in the park

However as she sat clutching pills at home Mrs Malik started crying as she watched her sleeping daughter and knew things had to change, reports the Mirror

Since then she's managed to lose 15st in the first 16 months and says making healthier choices and shedding the pounds has made such a difference

Mrs Malik explained how she had been bullied all her life for being overweight

In primary school her peers would call her 'fat'.When she moved up to high school, other pupils would throw things at her and kick her

They would even stand up in class to tell her her legs were 'too big'.Mrs Malik claims strangers would point and laugh at her on the street every time she left the house

She said that even 'when I got all dressed up for a night out, people would laugh and call me a beached whale

' The mother stopped leaving the house because she was too scared about the comments people would make

Mrs Malik said she would comfort eat and have 'at least four or five takeaways a week like pizzas, burgers, kebabs

I also ate pot noodles and pies.' She says she was stuck in a vicious cycle of eating when she felt depressed and not exercising because she was afraid to leave the house

Every year the mother swore she would change and get healthy but she said 'each year kept slipping by'

On that desperate night in 2016 after her husband Billy left for work, Mrs Malik decided she 'couldn't feel like a failure anymore'

When she was sitting with Naomi, she said that she knew he would be home from work soon so her daughter wouldn't be alone for a long time

However when the little girl turned over and giggled, Mrs Malik knew she had to change and when Billy got home they talked about their situation for hours

The couple, who have been together for 12 years, decided to throw out all the processed food in the house

Along with Billy, a taxi driver, she started buying fresh vegetables and chicken to improve their diets

She said: 'I enjoyed cooking and my husband and daughter loved eating the food.'Mrs Malik also started exercising doing dance workouts - that little Naomi would often join in with - in her living room and going to the gym

Another way she tried to lose the weight was by walking after each evening meal, even though running into people on the street made her nervous

However when she crossed paths with a group of strangers they seemed supportive of her efforts and simply said 'good evening

' Due to her rapid weight loss Mrs Malik was left with excess skin hanging around her tummy

When she exercised this would hurt so after discussing the idea with her husband they decided to take out a £10,000 loan to have surgery

Mrs Malik said recovering from the seven-hour operation was 'horrific' but that it was 'definitely worth it

'She said: 'When Naomi sees old pictures of me now, she says, "look! Mummy shrank!"

' Mrs Malik said she is now becoming a personal trainer at the Brunswick Gym in Blackpool so she can help others with their weight
