Youtube daily Instagram Feb 19 2019

today I'm going to expose the truth behind your hashtags impressions

probably think whenever you see something from hashtag it belongs to

hashtag automatically but that's not the case all the time stay until the end if

you're interested my name is Mike and welcome back to this channel so well

okay I usually kind of stuck in my intros just something that just pretty

much fresh I just came from my own post that I've decided to basically

write down what I noticed and I just want to have a discussion with you guys

I feel like this is something that every strategist should have done more if they

put up videos they should tell the truth apparently I don't think this is the

changes that's ongoing with Instagram like everyone claimed that when I post

this photo about me right there I use about 13 to 15 hashtags so those are

not the usual hashtags that I used I basically have a new group of hashtag

for this post specifically and what it does happen is that well it didn't

really get me any hashtag impressions like now it's just about four of them

Hold up something doesn't really make sense right here is that I actually get

about 166 to 170 reach for my account but there is likely just about

one or two percent non followers that have seen my post this is the part that

drive me very curious because of when I actually looked through the number of

likes that I get about 70 likes already for just a few hours you know about 10

to 12 people that are not following me so I wondered that where that one to two

percent of non followers came from when I do my math like 2% is like three and

a half people from 166 reach it's not exactly anything wrong with the stat but

it's more about our understanding is different to the Instagram system that I

thought okay maybe I'm hitting to the explore page or maybe someone share my

post in the DM but it does not reflect in my analytics at all it just

does not reflect the number correctly you probably say Instagram is delaying

the stats but they're not fully delaying the whole thing okay like it's not

really the case right here I go through to my list of likers

Likers? yes and I found that some of these accounts are actually

following the hashtag I'm using it this post specifically this person these

accounts must actually seen my post through the hashtag but there is only

two of them is still does not make up the number and I came to realize that

well so non followers could actually mean that people that don't follow you

as well as people that don't follow a specific hashtag you're using you may

actually agree or disagree and you can comment down below do you think this is

true the non followers reach is basically saying that the accounts that

have seen your post they don't follow you and they don't follow any hashtag you

are using as well okay when we actually talked about hashtag impressions we

usually know that okay is either from hashtags in the home feed because

someone else followed the hashtag or anyone that just searched up the hashtag

and your post is just ranking right there or in the recent feed even though

the number don't make up properly but it makes more sense and actually kind of

peace out my mind a little better when someone else see your post in the home

feed because they're following the hashtag it would actually go for the home

impressions when someone else see your hashtag (post) through searching it it will be

belong to the hashtag impressions if the people that follow the hashtag your post

appears in their home feed instead of them searching up they are the follower of

the hashtag the term the key is follower this has been so confusing

there is no evidently truth behind it but that's just one thing that I have

been trying to understand a little better about the terms they're using and

I would say that regardless of the understanding is true or false I don't

think it really matters what matters is getting results what matters is

getting what you need on Instagram In this case my post is getting most of the

engagement from my followers and I think is performing well on my own followers

so I'm pretty satisfied with it thank you for watching subscribe for more

videos and if you like this video like it if you have anything else besides the

topic you can absolutely leave a comment down below as well and I will see

you guys in next one, so peace out!

Use Instagram Stories for Business | New Business Tips 2019 - Duration: 5:14.

- What's up guys?

I'm gonna show you guys how to Instagram Stories

for business in 2019.

♪ Workin' on a Wednesday ♪

♪ Man I skip him like he leg day ♪

- What's up guys, it's Los.

If you haven't figured out, I talk about Instagram,

I talk about Facebook, I talk about marketing in general

on this channel.

Welcome to Business Thoughts, if you want to know more

about this just easily subscribe, join the notifications

and we'll show you everything we do a few times a week.

And once in a while we throw in a keto thing

because I talk about health and wellness too.

Anyways, I digress.

So today we're gonna talk about why you need to actually

use Instagram stories for business.

See, Instagram announced stories a while ago.

It got so popular that you got Youtube now copying them

and you can start seeing people doing stories on Youtube.

Does it work?

Kind of, it's a little weird, little buggy,

but Instagram killed it completely doing really really well.

Took all the business from Snapchat

and now everybody lives inside of Instagram.

But if you're not using Instagram to make money,

you're just spending your time.

I made another video on why you shouldn't do that

and it's right here.

The fastest way to make money on Instagram is to create

stories every single day.

If you're thinking, man I can't do that,

I dunno what to talk about, I dunno how to do these things.

I'm gonna give you a few tips to help you ease your mind

and focus you to just think about how to use Instagram as

a machine to make you money,

to create relationships and connections.

Now before I go into it, I wanna talk about relationships

and connections, okay?

So there's a lot of people that are just not willing to

go DM people or go build relationships,

they think it's spammy.

I've made some super high-level relationships

connections of just following them on Insta,

commenting on their stuff so they notice me.

Then they follow me cause they're like,

all right I kinda see that he's doing something too.

And then we kinda start laughing

inside of the comments together,

it breaks the ice and then I boom

I'm all up in those DM's.

And then I'm like, yo hey what's up man?

I love your stuff, love to collaborate,

and I've had people fly down here and collaborate.

Now I've partnered with one dude like Goody Beats.

We're working on some of his projects now

and that started off Instagram.

There's a lot more things that I've been able to do,

and I'm monetizing everything I do with it right.

Obviously all the relationships are genuine

and like some people are just my friends

and stuff like that, if it turns into business awesome.

But you have to use this tactic to start making money

on Instagram and start building relationships.

Your net worth is your network.

That (bleep) is the realest thing

I've ever learnt in my life.

Number two, using Instagram stories can make money.

The fastest and simplest way to do it

is to create a calendar.

So there's seven days in a week, there's seven stories

that you can be telling every single week.

I'm gonna give it to you like this.

Monday hit people with motivation.

Motivate people get them excited be like

yo guys, it's Monday we're here, we're setting up

this is what I've got planned on Monday, boom boom boom.

Get them that motivation, give the that rah-rah,

and be like all right I'm ready let's do this,

it's exciting okay.

It's an engaging thing to get people

to watch the rest of your week.

Tuesday, give them so tactics and show them that like

you're really doing this, give a lot of value.

Wednesday, we're gonna go in and we're just gonna have

some sort of a workplace Wednesday okay.

If you're a real estate agent and you're kinda just driving

around, show the homes, show everything.

If you're here, if you guys noticed mine, @Loshustle.

I'm always showing the office

and kind of how we're doing things, etc.

Thursday you're gonna go back to tactics.

Or give them some sort of a testimonial,

show them what's going on.

And you're gonna teach something, go out,

teach something, give people knowledge,

help them in their space.

Whatever it is you're doing show people,

if you're walking dogs show people why you're kinda

a (bleep) if you don't walk your dog,

or you don't have a dog walker.

And someone needs let your dog out

and how you're letting all these other dogs out.

And how you're having fun with all these dogs.

I mean think about that you don't think you can help

more people if you have a fitness business,

or if you have some sort of consulting,

or if you're actually doing real estate, of course you can.

So think of it like that, if I can give you a dog walking

example you can do it for your business.

Friday just (bleep) around.

I call it (bleep) around Fridays.

We're just (bleep) around kind of like a little bit of you.

Show some fun side of it, I get a lot of tattoos.

So I'm always showing like yo, I'm getting tattoos,

check me out I'm driving around, I'm eating.

Like it's just kind of like a version of me,

you get to see my authentic self okay.

Saturday and Sunday just freestyle.

Keep it easy, keep it light, make a promotion,

talk to people, just have a conversation.

Maybe go live and be like what up guys,

it's me I want to talk to you guys about X, Y, Z.

Just have a conversation that's gonna stay

and that's gonna increase your views.

It's also gonna get a lot of more people to watch.

And then last thing.

Make sure you put hashtags inside of your stories.

What that does it shows people where you're ranking.

Let's say I'm doing a Keto Transformation.

I'm gonna go Keto Transformation because it has between

300,00 and a million people following that.

Rather than go like just Keto which has like 25 million,

most likely I'm not gonna show up in that.

Sp try to think about hashtags do some content research,

and use that inside of your stories.

You're gonna get DMs and swipe ups all day long

and make money from Instagram.

Now if you wanna know exactly how to do it

you need a checklist cause you're like,

oh man I don't really know how to do this at all.

Just download our checklist it's absolutely free

you can use it to explode your Insta,

and then you can comment down here.

Los I got the checklist, let me know you've got it,

and let's talk about it inside of here.

Just subscribe, join notifications,

and if you guys want to see more content like this

stick around because I got a lot more stuff coming.

Download the checklist and I'll see you guys later.

Pinterest Vs Instagram For Dropshipping Stores - Duration: 12:46.

- Yo, what's up guys, Anton here from dropshiplifestyle.com,

and today on Dropship Weekly, we're gonna be talking about

Pinterest versus Instagram for your dropshipping store,

which one is better, which one you

should use, and how you can use them.

A couple of things, I got this topic idea from a coaching

call that I did last week with my students in Dropship

Lifestyle that are part of the dropship blueprint,

and the question that came up was what should they do once

they're already, you know, they're up, they're running,

they're successful with Google Ads, what should they

start to put money and time into.

So that's what I'm gonna share in this, I answered it on the

coaching call, but it was a good question, figured it might

help some of you out on YouTube as well and on the blog.

One more thing I'll note before we dive into this,

my eye, you might realize looks like I

got punched in the face, it's pretty gross.

I didn't, but yeah, I'm sure you don't tune in for my good

looks anyway so, don't focus on the eye, focus on this and

we'll be good to go, but yeah,

I'm sure there's gonna be some comments.

So anyway guys, let's talk about this and

get into today's episode of Dropship Weekly.

(light music)

Okay so we'll start right in the beginning with your store,

okay, so this is where the money is made, this is Shopify,

this is where you want people to go,

you want people to spend money.

Now with Instagram, you know this should be addressed right

away, I think every single person regardless of what type of

product that you sell, should be using Instagram for your

remarketing, so I'm gonna put it down here and I'm gonna put

Insta, for Instagram, and basically what this means is when

people go to your site and they don't buy, you should be

showing them remarketing ads on Instagram, on Facebook,

again since Facebook owns Instagram,

that's all through one platform.

This is a no-brainer, this everybody should do from day one,

even if you have like a five dollar a day budget, you gotta

know that, you know, 98% of the people that land on your

store, the first time they're there, they're not gonna buy,

so when they leave, get them with Insta remarketing right

away, again as long as your product type is something that

is okay to advertise on Instagram, which for most people

that's true, unless you're selling sex toys or CBD stuff.

Now, next thing alright, well let's just show here what

could happen, people could go to your website, and this will

be a money bag, and they could just buy, right that two,

two-and-a-half, 3% of people, they can go there and

they could buy, now also maybe this is a little bit more

advanced, but I do recommend that for all new customers, for

48 hours after they buy, you're also showing them ads on

Instagram, except these ads aren't to get them to buy,

'cause they've bought already, so you're creating an

audience here of people that recently purchased with

you, and you're showing them ads saying hey, this is

Anton from antonseasles.com, really appreciate your order,

thank you so much for putting your

trust in myself and in my company.

You should have an e-mail with your order confirmation and

tracking information will be sent out as soon as your order

goes out, right, something simple, something basic like

that, it's really good, not many companies at all do it,

so it will stand out, it'll help increase that

relationship between you and your buyer even more and it

will help really just help you stand out from the masses,

and also help reduce buyer's remorse, so keep that in mind.

But the real way this question came up originally on the

coaching call wasn't about backend stuff, it was about how

to get new buyers, how to get people in the front end.

And for this, the answer can change depending on what type

of store you actually have, meaning what type of products

you sell, but for most people, I recommend that you go

with Pinterest on the front end.

Now again, this is once you're up and running with

Google Ads, you're profitable, everything's rolling,

you're looking to kind of invest your time, 'cause time is

the biggest resource, even more than money.

This is when you're looking to put your time into something

else and try to learn a new way to generate revenue.

What I really like about Pinterest is there's a lot of

desktop use, and yes people definitely use it on mobile, but

there's still a lot of desktop people there, where with

Instagram there really isn't, 'cause you know how many

people use Instagram on the computer, I'd say maybe 1% or

less of their user base, so with that,

that's a good sign right there.

Another thing I really like about Pinterest on the

front end is, there is some buyer intent there.

Now, people aren't just going there to shop, right, it's

not like you're going to, you know, Wayfair or Amazon,

like what should I buy, you're going there to start doing

research and a lot of people, the things they pin, the

boards they create, they're about ideas for things, maybe

they wanna buy for their wedding or maybe things they wanna

buy for their new home or their new office, so there is some

intent in there, and the other thing, which is massive, is

that with Pinterest, it's all clickable, right, like there's

links, links are a big part of it, so if you're again the

majority of stores, this would vary from store to store

but the majority, which is what I'm gonna focus on,

is people that should use Pinterest,

and not just make a Pinterest account and not

just upload a few different things and hope it works,

but put your time into this to learn this platform.

Now this video is not going to be about how to set up the

perfect Pinterest account and how to make your pins,

stand out, that you can research inside of my training

program, that's in our paid social traffic course but,

yeah, Pinterest, for most people on the front end, again,

there is intent there, a lot of people are using it on

desktop and it is clickable, there's links everywhere.

Now, what about Instagram on the front end?

Does that mean you shouldn't use it?

It means that I think you should start here, master this,

get this to be a profitable front end channel, again while

simultaneously, you have Instagram running in the

backend, but, you know, let me do this,

I'll make kind of like, a Instagram section and a Pinterest

and talk about when each of them are most beneficial I would

say and kinda the pros and cons, and then I'll also

tell you what tools we use to make this all work,

so I think that should help a lot of people.

So, with Instagram, the way that I think of it and the

way it really works when you look at it,

is it's more of branding play.

So, when someone takes out their phone, is bored, scrolling

through Instagram, they're not there looking to make

a purchase, doesn't mean they won't

but it's really somewhere they're

engaging with their friends, their family,

and even engaging with brands, if you

put out the right type of content.

Again, it doesn't mean that can't be profitable,

but it's more of a long-term strategy.

Now, if you're going to use Instagram,

something you definitely should do,

is create your product feed, and again

I'll tell you what tools we use

for this, and make shoppable posts.

Now, you've probably seen this before

if you use Instagram as a consumer,

where you see, like a different

image, and it might have, you know,

someone holding a coffee cup,

and the coffee cup will be clickable,

and that'll go to an e-commerce

store, now if you're going to use

Instagram, again, you should be doing

that, because you wanna have that benefit of a link.

You don't wanna have to tell people

"link in bio," right, then have

them click on your profile, then

go to the bio, then click the link,

'cause what type of intent are you gonna get there?

So if you have a product that is

something that's very visual, that's demonstrable,

then you could do Instagram images

that are shoppable posts, again,

I'm not gonna get into the how

of to set this up, I will tell

you the tools we use that make it

easy, but if you want the step-by-step,

go to dropshiplifestyle.com, click on courses,

get enrolled, and you'll get the training from A to Z.

Now, of course, like I mentioned

up here, I'll just reiterate it,

I use RT for retargeting, use it

for retargeting from day one, because

the beauty of that is when you're

retargeting people here, and when

you're showing new customers videos,

the intent's there, so you don't

have to worry about it only being

a branding play, 'cause the intent

has been established based on how

the people found your store, so

definitely start that from day one.

Let me switch up the colors, and

we will talk about Pintrest ...

Pintrest, okay, so again, the things

that I love about this is it's all

about links; that's what Pintrest

is built on, and again, people

have buying intent and because

of that, it's good for front end, FE traffic.

Now how can you know if your product

is not Pintrest-friendly?

Now, it is true that more women

than men use Pintrest, but that's

changing, if you look at the year-over-year

user base growth, it's actually

trending up with more men; they

still have more women than men,

but men are growing, so before

you just discount it and think,

my buyers aren't there, just go

to it, again, this is something

that if you're gonna use, I don't

recommend you just make a Pintrest

board and see what happens, I recommend

you research it, you go through

the training in the dropship blueprint,

you actually put time and effort

into learning it, and part of that

is seeing if your buyers are there,

and seeing how they already are

using it, so you can recreate that with your own store.

Now I told you I would talk about

tools, so let me do that; these tools,

I think some of them are free, some

of them are paid, I'm not really

sure, we use all of them, so these

tools are either native through

Shopify or they are in the Shopify

app store, so first one is called

Facebook product feed, and this

one is by Flexify, by the way, I'll

put this all in the notes, so you

don't have to try to read this

handwriting, but Facebook product

feed by Flexify allows you to basically

take all the products that are in

your store on Shopify, connect

them to your Facebook account, which in

turn allows you to connect them

to Instagram, 'cause again, it's

the same thing, and then you can

make these shoppable posts, so

that starts with Facebook product

feed by Flexify, the next tool

I recommend you use, if you decide

that Instagram is for you, and you're

okay with the branding play and

having it be a more long-term thing

on the front end, then the tool is called- hear that?

Sale.

The next tool is called shop Instagram

and UGC; UGC stands for user-generated

content, but this is like something

you would put on your site, maybe

if again, you're big on Instagram,

where you could show off different

Instagram posts, and then it would

say shop this or shop now, and

if you were selling, again, coffee

cups, someone was holding a coffee

cup in the photo, they can click

shop and it would take them to

that page on your store, allow

them to buy easy, and the last tool

that I recommend for this setup,

to keep it as easy as possible,

is not an app, but it's native in

Shopify, if you are on the basic

plan or higher, and that is just the Pintrest sales channel.

And the Pintrest sales channel

basically allows you to make the

product pins, there used to be shoppable

pins, they were called on Pintrest,

they got rid of that I think it was

in October, so when I'm recording

this, maybe four or five months

ago, but still, there's still the

Pintrest sales channel, is still

a real thing, now I think they

were depreciated to it's called

product pins, I forget the terminology,

but basically, you could have your

products on Pintrest, again, linkable,

so if you figure out how your audience

is on Pintrest already, how they're

acting, how they're creating boards,

what they're sharing, what they're

pinning, you can use this to recreate

that with your product catalog,

which is really, really good front

end traffic, so what I'll do is

post links to all of these, again

below in the description on YouTube,

and if you're on dropshiplifestyle.com,

on the blog right now, I'll have

this all typed out and turned into

a blog post so it's easier for

those of you that wanna kind of

digest it that way, maybe take

notes, and again, get all those

links, so hope you found this useful,

as always, if you did, please do

give this video a thumbs up, leave

a comment below, hope the eye wasn't

a distraction, hope you focused

on this, and yeah guys, that's it,

I'll see you all next week for the

next episode of

Dropship Weekly, and, if you're

watching this, and you haven't seen

my new webinar yet, you gotta check

it out, it's like a two-and-a-half

on that also, always appreciated,

hope you guys all have an amazing week,

make a bunch of money, and I'll talk to you next Tuesday.

How to Start a Business on Instagram - Duration: 7:10.

- What's up girls?

It's Hannah with Girl Brand.

Today we are gonna talk about

how to start a business on Instagram.

(uplifting music)

You're on Instagram, everyone's on Instagram.

You see people out there killing it.

They have the same interests as you and you're like,

I could do what they do.

So you're wondering how to start a business on Instagram.

Well I've got you.

There's a couple things you need to keep in mind

and there's a lot more where that comes from.

But this is specifically for if you're ready to get started.

The first thing that we need to talk about

is your niche or your niche.

I have no idea how you say that.

I've heard many different people say it many different ways.

I'm just gonna stick with niche because

that's the first time I heard it to it kinda stuck,

but niche sounds really fancy.

Anyway.

So building your own niche.

First you need to find out what you wanna do.

If you're into fitness, fitness is a niche.

If you're into beauty, beauty is a niche.

If you're into motivation, motivational quotes and stuff,

that's a niche.

For me, I'm into helping girls scale their brands

with social media marketing, that's my niche.

And so really just creating a sense of knowing

what you wanna talk about, who you wanna talk about,

and really how far you wanna go with it.

I must say, I see a lot of people get on Instagram

ready to start a business, whether that be for photography

or baking, just something on the side,

and they don't put their whole heart into it,

and then they wonder why they're not gaining traction.

And it's because you really need to sit down first

and write down the beginning steps.

The first thing I ever did when I created Girl Brand,

I still have it and I visit it frequently

to make sure that my goals still align,

but I got on my Word doc, my Google doc,

and I sat down and I chose what my mission is,

what my niche is, who my avatar is,

and what my long-term goal is.

And knowing that really sets you up for long-term success.

So starting with your niche is super, super important.

So right now, as you're watching this video

wanting to make an Instagram business

and really succeed on Instagram

so you can either quite your day job,

live the life you wanna live,

be able to travel, be able to work from home,

whatever the goal is for you personally,

if you really wanna meet that

and you really wanna make Instagram a success

like you see everyone else doing,

starting with your niche is key

and that comes from whatever makes you passionate,

whatever you're passionate about,

whatever you love doing every day.

And that can change.

Honestly for me, mine started in health and fitness

and here I am talking about social media

and marketing to women.

It changed over the years

but once I decided that this was my passion,

I really stuck to it and I have loved every minute

of growing this Instagram brand.

Defining your niche in the beginning is so important.

So write that down.

Who is your niche and who is your avatar within that niche

so that the content you start creating

can really speak to them, and you can gain

a little more traction right in the beginning.

So we found our niche.

We know who we're talking to.

We know what content they need.

We know what they're struggling with.

Now we're talking about our brand guide or our theme,

and this is really all about the looks

and really the shallow part of Instagram

that a lot of us tend to avoid but it's so important,

and honestly kinda makes or breaks your page.

We wanna make sure that you are congruent

across all social platforms.

So maybe your Instagram profile picture

is the same as your YouTube, it's the same as your Facebook,

it's the same as this and that, your LinkedIn.

Whatever you're on, make sure you have the same

profile picture so people kind of know who you are

and they start to get a little like, okay,

I've seen this girl before.

I know who this is.

They see the congruency across the board

and it starts to state you as an authority of like,

oh, she's everywhere.

What is she doing?

Making sure that you're just the same all across the board.

And really choosing your logo, choosing your colors,

your theme, maybe the filters that you're gonna be using

for each post so that when people go to your page

they see that it's congruent

and that all of your pictures look kind of similar

and they're really pretty

and they look nice next to each other.

Like I said, it's super, super shallow

but it's really important when you're trying to grow

a brand or a business online

because that's what people are attracted to.

Along with the teaching and the motivational stuff

comes the looks and keeping them entertained.

Really, the two go hand in hand,

and you can't have one without the other.

So we found our niche, we know who we're talking to,

we have found our theme, we know our logo,

our brand colors, kind of the way we write,

the way our page is gonna look,

and now it's time to really cross pollinate.

And what do I mean by that?

I mean it's really time to get out there

and spread the word of your page, of who you are,

of your message, of what you're offering.

And some of the really easy ways to do that

is simply by just getting really active

in your comments section,

really active on other people's comment section.

In your stories, you're sharing things and tagging people

so that they'll share it to their stories.

Really just spreading the word.

And I don't mean to go out and just follow a bunch of pages

for no reason.

People used to do this.

I remember these back in the day.

They used to follow let's say 100 people at once,

and then slowly see maybe 25, 30 people follow them again,

and then unfollow them all.

And they gained that 35 followers.

That is not the way to do it.

You're just kind of A, being rude,

and B, you're just gaining followers

who only are following you because they followed them

and they were like, alright, I'll follow them back.

So really getting in there and being social in Instagram

is what's gonna build your following,

and not only build your following but build your following

within the niche that you've chosen.

You could spend money on followers all day long

but that doesn't mean that they are here to listen

to what you have to say.

Doesn't mean that they're gonna buy what you're selling.

So really making sure that you're social,

you're reaching out to people that you look up to

and seeing how you can work with them,

finding ways that you can be social on Instagram

instead of taking quick little cuts

will really help you and it will go a long way.

First, pick your niche.

Second, pick your theme,

and third, cross pollinate, start getting out there

and saying hi and what's up and I love your page

to as many people as possible,

and those are my three quick, quick steps

on how you can get started.

Like I said, that's the tip of the iceberg.

There is so much more

but if you're sitting here and you're watching

everyone's videos and you're loving Instagram

and you're like, I wanna work from home.

I can do this.

I know just as much about photography

or flowers or jewelry or anything in between,

I know just as much as they do

and I love spending my days doing it.

I'm so passionate about it on the side.

I wanna make this my full-time gig.

This is where you need to start.

This is where I tell my girls in my community to start.

Every single day, my newbies coming in who are like,

I'm ready to do this.

I'm like, this is where we go.

You need to pick your niche, you need to pick your theme,

and you need to cross pollinate.

And I will see you girls in the next video.

The Two Sides of My Vacation | Instagram vs. Reality - Duration: 11:55.

It's too cold to turn twenty-five here.

I had two goals for my upcoming birthday:

escape the coldest, ugliest, time of year in my city

and have a birthday to remember...

or forget.

But that's not really why I came here.

That's sort of like the ultra-positive,

Instagram-captioned version.

I wanted to be truthful about this vacation.

There's a reason that I sort of ran away to a remote island.

It's really no secret that I have some weird hang-ups about my birthday,

and I think I just have this expectation that every year,

THIS will finally be the year that I enjoy it.

But I think there's kind of a weird cognitive dissonance every year

when someone like me,

who very deliberately tries not to be a burden,

faces this societal expectation that it's your day,

and that everyone is supposed to be doing stuff for you,

and this is the one day a year that you're special.

And then when I have those expectations and they aren't met,

I'm disappointed even though I kind of felt guilty

for having them in the first place.

So I wanted to come here with no expectations,

just five days of doing my own thing,

and, well – I guess I can't have any expectations from other people

if I'm unreachable anyways,

so I guess that's kind of the psychology of it.

But luckily, I'm not completely alone –

one of the reasons I specifically came to Grand Cayman

was to visit a very talented friend of mine from YouTube,

who just so happens to live here.

Hey, how's it going?

Happy birthday!

Thank you!

Just spending time chasing fish. [Laughs]

Marc took me to some amazing places

that I otherwise never would have known about,

and I highly recommend taking a look at his channel.

I had a really good time shooting with him.

Especially in the Instagram age,

I think there's definitely this expectation of like,

bikinis, and blue ass water, and fruit parfaits and shit whenever you go on vacation,

and everything is perfect.

Picture perfect, actually.

So I wanted to present that,

but also sort of show you the reality behind the lens,

where there's less photo-worthy moments of my time here.

Because yes, expectations are a bitch,

and not that you shouldn't have high ones,

but I think that my expectations have prevented me

from enjoying my birthday for quite a while now.

And even though it seems counterintuitive,

noticing all these little imperfections

made them somehow a little easier to laugh at,

and made me appreciate the tip more as a whole.

Oh my god....[laughs]

I just walked into the glass door. [Covers face in shame]

I'm...honest to god so thankful I didn't break anything,

oh my god [laughs].

I just –

I never thought I would be one of those stupid-ass people!

[Laughs]

So here are some of the less glamorous scenarios on my vacation,

which actually started pretty much as soon as I got on the plane.

Thank you very much!

You're welcome, sweetie bye-bye.

Grand Cayman?

Yup!

F10, to your right.

Got it, thank you!

[Sighs]

Great, thank you!

We made it.

I look disgusting and extremely sweaty,

but goddamn it I made it.

I made it to this island,

I made it to the hotel,

I made it up the stairs and into this room,

and when I got in here,

I realized I forgot something.

So, as soon as I was in line in Boston at the security,

I realized something, which is

that I don't remember packing my computer charger.

So....I really hope it's in here.

Yeah I fuckin forgot it.

Luckily Marc was very nice to drive me

to the MAC store in Grand Cayman,

where I then paid out the ass for a charger,

costing me about twice as much as it does at home.

Fuck.

I am so happy right now.

I'm so happy I came here,

I kind of can't believe I'm here,

but it's only been like three hours, so...

It feels good to be on vacation. It's nice.

[Loud buzzsaw noises]

Even though the hotel is under construction.

But now that I've squared away the whole charger situation,

it's time for the most Instagrammable activity there is:

lounging on a tropical beach.

So I've been hanging out here for a little bit,

I just decided to go to the beach nearest to my hotel,

one small detail though, it is kind of more of a waterway access,

so it's actually tiny.

So it was kind of small, the bottom was rocky,

and I'm definitely not an Instagram model.

But it was still pretty beautiful.

My feet did hurt a lot though,

so I decided to find somewhere just a little bit better.

So I'm headed to a considerably nicer beach after this morning's experience,

so I think this should be a lot more spacious,

and a lot more picturesque – you know, that blue ass water shit.

That night, I attempted to go out,

but ultimately had a slight change of plans.

[Rooster crows]

So last night was pretty wild,

I went out, had a lot of drinks,

you know, definitely partied like you would expect on your birthday,

I definitely didn't just stay in and eat this whole pizza by myself

and fall asleep to ASMR, that would be super lame,

I definitely didn't do that.

Alright, let's try that again.

My final morning in paradise was spent chaotically trying to pack

and getting ready to go to the airport.

Even in the middle of frantically packing up,

I was doing some thinking,

and by the time I got out the door,

I think I could really honestly say

I had a really, really good birthday.

I think no matter what, there are kind of two sides to every vacation.

There's the side that you want everyone else to remember,

and then there's the side that you'd rather forget.

And I mean, going on vacation is a huge privilege to begin with,

and I had an amazing time here,

so that's not what I'm kind of getting at.

But I think we tend to forget the more difficult or annoying parts of our trip

in favor of some of the more pleasant memories associated with the photos that we took.

And you know, that's probably honestly for the better.

But the important thing is that when you're sitting at home,

looking at the blue-ass water in other people's Instagram photos,

you always keep in mind

the sunburn that probably came after it.

Roger Stone apologizes to judge for controversial Instagram post Politics

Jackson is overseeing Stones criminal case in DC District Court.

A photo was posted and then deleted from Stones Instagram account showing Jackson next to cross hairs, mimicking the scope of a rifle. The cross hairs were in the background of the photo, and not directly over the judge. He later deleted that post, posting the same photo without the crosshairs and then deleted that post as well. In the post, Stone said the judge would be presiding over a "show trial."

"Please inform the Court that the photograph and comment today was improper and should not have been posted. I had no intention of disrespecting the Court and humbly apologize to the Court for the transgression," Stone, a longtime associate of President Donald Trump, wrote in the letter.

The photo appears to come from a conspiracy website that features pictures of others, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff against the same background.

Stone told CNN a "volunteer" who works on his social media posted the initial Instagram post and the photo was "random," and not "meant anyway to threaten the judge." Stone says he "ordered it taken down because it was open to misinterpretation."

Stone wrote in the caption of the second post that his upcoming trial before the judge is a "show trial," and accused special counsel Robert Mueller of using "legal trickery" to ensure Jackson, who he notes was appointed by former President Barack Obama, presides over his case. That post was then deleted.

The posts are not likely to sit well with Jackson, who last week imposed a gag order on attorneys and parties to the case. She did not completely restrict Stones ability to speak, but he is not allowed to speak in and around the courthouse. Jackson noted to Stone on Friday that "there will be no additional restrictions imposed on the defendants public statements or appearances at this time."

After the second photo was deleted, Stone posted , "A photo of Judge Jackson posted on my Instagram has been misinterpreted. This was a random photo taken from the Internet. Any inference that this was meant to somehow threaten the Judge or disrespect court is categorically false."

In another post, , "What some say are cross hairs are in fact the logo of the organization that originally posted it something called corruption central. They use the logo in many photos."

in January by a grand jury on charges brought forward by Mueller, who alleges that Stone sought stolen emails from WikiLeaks that could have damaged Trumps opponents in the 2016 presidential election while in coordination with senior Trump campaign officials.

Mueller is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether Trump associates were involved.

Stone was indicted by a federal grand jury in the District of Columbia on seven counts: one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, five counts of false statements and one count of witness tampering.

He was arrested by the FBI at his home in Florida, and then released on a dollar 250,000 signature bond.

Stone downplayed his indictment, telling it was a "process crime" and said it does not show collusion between Wikileaks or the Russian government.
