Earth Is Drifting From The Sun, And So Are All The Planets - Duration: 4:52.

While our planet has recently reached its closest point to the Sun, it is still drifting

as are the other planets away from the Sun.

Our orbital path might seem the same throughout the years but the truth is, it is constantly

changing.

Forbes recently posted an article that has been blowing up on the topic and in their

article, they go over how this year in 2019 our perihelion was 1.5 centimeters further

away than it was last year.

This basically highlighting how we are currently as close to the Sun as we will ever be again

since we will never be able to pass that new threshold we've set in place.

This is not a new concept and is something we have all known for quite a while but many

people just don't get it.

One important thing to note is that our orbit around the Sun as is, is not a perfect circle.

It is elliptical and because of the tidal interaction between the Sun and Earth, we

are very slowly moving away from it.

The rotation of the Sun itself pushes us further and further away from it as the years pass.

Cornell University also noted as follows on the topic:

There is another effect which is also small, but somewhat bigger than the tidal effect.

The Sun is powered by nuclear fusion, which means the Sun is continuously transforming

a small part of its mass into energy.

As the mass of the Sun goes down, our orbit gets proportionally bigger.

However, over the entire main sequence lifetime of the Sun (about 10 billion years), the Sun

will only lose about 0.1% of its mass, which means that the Earth should move out by just

~150,000 km (small compared to the total Earth-Sun distance of ~150,000,000 km).

If we assume that the Sun's rate of nuclear fusion today is the same as the average rate

over those 10 billion years (a bold assumption, but it should give us a rough idea of the

answer), then we're moving away from the Sun at the rate of ~1.5 cm (less than an inch)

per year.

I probably don't even need to mention that this is so small that we don't have to worry

about freezing.

Many factors go into making up our orbit and can influence it in different ways.

The presence of matter particles, the creation of gravitational waves, and so much more all

go into what makes up the path we move forth on.

The Sun is constantly emitting energy and in a process of nuclear fusion.

Because of this, the Sun itself is losing mass as time goes by.

This loss while minor lessens the gravitational pull that the Sun has on all the objects within

our solar system.

This topic is one that many find quite confusing, Ethan Siegel an Astrophysicist who wrote the

Forbes article mentioned above went on to note as follows in his writing:

The Sun's mass loss, by burning its nuclear fuel, ensures that every mass orbiting in

our Solar System is slowly spiraling outward as time goes on.

Some 4.5 billion years ago, our planet was around 50,000 kilometers closer to the Sun

than it is today and will grow more distant more rapidly as the Sun continues to evolve.

With each and every orbit that passes, the planets become progressively less tightly-bound

to our Sun.

The rate at which the Sun burns through its fuel is increasing, accelerating the rate

at which all the planets spiral outwards.

While this should never unbind any of the planets we have today, the slow, steady, outward

migration of every world is inevitable.

What do you think about all of this?

I for one find it to be quite fascinating.

The universe as we know it is far more complex than most of us care to stop and think about.

parmesan wheels were made with only three ingredients cow milk sold and

wheels remain relatively untouched for one year one lad a master grade they

the average maturation is two years but some wheels are aged as long as ten

a longer maturation period makes the price go higher

Cristiano Ronaldo showed he's still so physically gifted with his second goal v Parma - Duration: 4:14.

Football News24/7  Cristiano Ronaldo's debut season in Serie A is going tremendously well

The 33-year-old failed to score in his first three competitive fixtures for Juventus but those matches seem like a long time ago now

He scored twice in Juventus' latest match, a thrilling 3-3 draw against Parma at the Allianz Stadium

It means his tally on the season now sits at 19 goals in all competitions.  The Old Lady are certainly getting their money's worth

Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 37th minute when he finished past Luigi Sepe despite falling over

It was evidence that, even as he approaches the age of 34 - it's his birthday on February 5 - he remains physically gifted

Ronaldo showed his athleticism with second goal   And his second goal was proof that he can still reach an impressive height with his leap

Mario Mandzukic sent over a cross in the 66th minute that Ronaldo attacked. There was only going to be one winner in his battle with Parma's Simone Iacoponi

Ronaldo rose, beat Iacoponi to the ball and diverted his header perfectly into the corner of Sepe's goal

It really was a fine display of athleticism.  Juventus didn't have it all their own way, though

Gervinho made it 3-2 shortly after Ronaldo's second and the former Arsenal made made it 3-3 in the third minute of injury time

The draw means it's now 19 wins and three draws from 22 league matches for Max Allegri's side, who are aiming to win the Italian title for the eighth straight season

Despite dropping two points, it's hard to see that not happening. Juventus are nine points ahead of second-placed Napoli

And their healthy advantage will likely mean Ronaldo is rested for upcoming league matches as Allegri turns his attentions towards the Champions League

An enthralling tie against Atletico Madrid awaits Juventus in the round-of-16, and they will need Ronaldo to be in the rested and raring to go

Why YETI Coolers Are So Expensive | So Expensive - Duration: 3:18.

Narrator: YETI is known for its expensive coolers

that have become a status symbol in America.

This is their most expensive,

the 82-gallon Tundra 350,

that retails for $1,300.

Since the company was founded in 2006, YETI has become

an iconic brand. And they make a lot more than just coolers.

Drinkware, apparel, and even dog bowls.

But the coolers are what they're best known for.

Like the popular Tundra 35 that retails for $250.

But you can get a comparably-sized cooler from legacy brands

like Coleman and Igloo for around $40.

Why are YETI coolers so expensive?

There are two pretty simple answers:

technology and marketing.

The Austin, Texas-based company was founded

by the Seiders brothers.

Two avid outdoorsmen, who felt there weren't

any coolers on the market that kept their catches,

kills, and beverages cold enough for long enough.

They teamed up with a factory in the Philippines to

create a cooler that they described as indestructible,

with superior ice retention.

Their first cooler hit the market in 2006.

If you were serious about keeping your catches,

kills and brewskies as cold as possible, you needed a YETI.

Fisherman: Whoop.

Don't worry it's a YETI.

Narrator: So, how do they work?

The cooler's shell is made of a common plastic called

polyethylene with a process called rotomolding,

which uses high temperature and low pressure to create

one piece of hollow plastic.

Rotomolding is also used to make kayaks.

The shell is pressure injected with up to three

inches of commercial-grade polyurethane foam.

And that's what keeps your beers, I mean,

that's what keeps your catches and kills cold

for so long.

The coolers feature a full-frame, freezer-quality

gasket that seals around the entire lid

to minimize air exchange.

And I can tell you from experience, they work.

But are they worth the high price tag?

I asked on of those questions on my Facebook profile,

and the responses were mixed.

"Definitely."

"They're heavy AF."

They are heavy.

"No."

"There are cheaper brands that work just as well."

There are some rotomolded YETI competitors

like Orca, OtterBox

and RTIC,

that are slightly cheaper, but still comparably priced.

None of them have been able to create the brand

phenomenon that YETI has seen.

In October of 2018, YETI went public when they

filed an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange.

And the company's market cap is now estimated

at $1.5 billion.

So, how are YETI coolers able to carry that high price tag?

Marketing.

Highly effective marketing. And their campaign

to ramp up the population of YETI nation

is just getting started.

The company recently hired the former head of marketing

for Calvin Klein to be its Chief Marketing Officer.

And the company's effective use of the all-American,

rugged, outdoor lifestyle keeps customers coming

back for more.

Why is Lord of the Rings so unique? [CC] - Duration: 1:54.

Since childhood the Lord of the Rings movies have been my absolute favourites.

Anyone who has seen them will tell you that the cinematography is beautiful, the soundtrack

is amazing and the battles are epic.

But that is not what makes Lord of the Rings so unique and special.

The books had a central message that was carried into the movies and made them what they are.

At the heart of the Lord of the Rings trilogy are very simple yet powerful values.

Friendship, formed despite differences and great peril and danger.

Gimli: I never thought I would die side by side with an Elf.

Legolas: What about side by side with a friend?

Loyalty, above all else.

It is the unlikely hero that goes on although he doesn't have the strength anymore.

Frodo: I can't do this, Sam.

Sam: I know.

It is compassion.

It is hope, despite the overwhelming darkness.

It is fighting for what is right and good in this world.

Aragon: For Frodo.

Even when the enemy is so much stronger.

Even when you are afraid.

Especially when you are afraid.

It is real emotions.

The heroes are allowed to grief.

They are allowed to cry.

It is love.

What makes Lord of the Rings so beautiful is the love and hope that prevails, despite

the darkness and evil.

Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?

Sam: That there is some good in this world, Mister Frodo.

And it is worth fighting for.
