The Kickstarter hype will gonna REAL! – Rainware Developer Vlog#30 Create a RTS Game with Godot - Duration: 6:48.

hello and welcome everybody to a new video log creating a game with Godot by

Rainware this is already our thirtieth ... video log

man this is a complicated word and I don't know how to spell it correctly

unfortunately I have some issues with my hardware today especially with the

microphone and the camera so I had to change it, I hope everything is

working fine now within 30 videos we had already

the chance to make huge progress and improvement also for the game and for our video logs so hopefully

the video quality improved over the time also the audio quality should be better

than on the first episodes our game had made some big progress and yeah I have a

very exciting news about that because with our current version we are fine and

we just want to polishing a bit more just adding one or two more features and

then we are actually fine to release it as an official demo and even more

important we are ready to set up our Kickstarter then so make sure to spread

the word that there will be a Kickstarter and of course help me to

support me to bring this game to life you can even support me on patreon right

now you find all the links below in the video description so as said

Kickstarter will start soon it will take a bit more time but yeah we already plan

it within the next month as soon as we have a specified date and of course you

will know about that first the last time I showed you this changlog 0.0.3

version wasn't released meanwhile on the 6th of February I was able to create a

check it out because we changed a lot we improved a lot and the changelogs

since the last video log already doubled its size so this was the

change till here and now we have also added some new models some rework

landscape new rocks new buildings for all ages new banner we have to spawn

effects revamped already the deaths effect is now a new one

there was a winning dialogue even if you lose this smiley is so cool here we had a

wrong building color on our 3k BC building which is fixed we have new army

colors we have new banner colors the normal people the normal attack men now have a

color and are not neutral anymore the light and shadows and the whole mood of

the scene has been adjusted you should be able to command the enemy unit yeah

this was actually possible you also I also fixed some nasty bug which were a

bit harder to find because that involved a lot of complicated code I had to fix

but yeah this is the changelog for today and now let us go on to the game scene

so here we are in our game scene I haven't prepared anything special so we

just go through that what we see and I will comment it so first what you may be

noticed is the foliage over here we have some grass I'm playing around with

currently this are just some first tests how to place them how it could work

there's a lot of work in progress and they will change a lot within the next

week also again the trees changed a bit we have a little bit more branches right

now you can see here also the wind shader is working a bit different

that should add a bit more depth and details to our scene as I said we have a

new banner with a new shader which is moving the banner around in the wind this

is also quite nice I like it very much as you may notice we have some hard glow

effects so there's some post-processing right now we are playing around with so

the cool particle effect and the spawning of the people as said we have now

a color for our normal people and yes they have of course the same color as my

hut has this is also the despawn we also have two sound for it yes nothing new

for that but we have a new death effect and I won't hold it back and show you

that now so have a look at this eye candy this is so cool I just jumped over

to the enemy and he's already using some of the new inventions so you can see his

defense here right now are the cauldron people with some oil the cauldron they

will come with the fourth epoch the red color is glowing so hard is actually a

buck I have to fix that as you can see in the building

we have changed also the models of the building the colors were revamped and

now everything should look a little bit more polished

here you can see also the new model of the second epoch with the new colors

this is our third epoch building as usual you already know that one so

prepare for the last fixing I implemented the whole fourth

epoch so we have now a mine building this one is just awesome because we have

a new building on our own map so within the fourth epoch it's the first time we

get our second building and that's the mine and the mine will allow us to

make deep mining and gather some advanced resources for higher inventions

we will want and we will need through our conquer through the time the last

thing I want to show you our bowmen this are the attack / people of

the 4th epoch and this is our attack invention for

the 4th epoch and also the bow animation is quite cool but that I will show you

Why Anthem will not be Iron Man | Lore of Anthem #1 | Myth Stories - Duration: 6:31.

WHY IRONMAN AND ANTHEM'S JAVELINS ARE NOT THE SAME

Are the Javelins in Anthem just Iron Man suits?

Ever since Tony Stark took to the skies for the first time in 2008's Iron Man, many

gamers have yearned to fly like old shell head in a video game.

Nothing's quite come close to emulating it, except, now maybe Anthem.

And we're not the first to draw the comparison.

How the game's exosuits fly and handle look like Iron Man or War Machine in mid-flight.

Even the game's producer Mike Gamble is on the record as saying Iron Man, and other

Marvel heroes provided inspiration for the game.

But the Javelin suits are not Iron Man armor.

In fact they're very different and you're about to find out why.

Okay, so this one's a bit obvious, but Anthem's Javelins are distinct from how Iron Man looks.

Each are their own thing, from the head to toe.

When you enter a Javelin, the first thing you notice is the padded lining reminiscent

of World War 2 aircraft and diving or astronaut suits.

That's a far cry from Stark Industries' super sleek armored exoskeletons.

All of Stark's suits, apart from a few, are fitting to his form.

Javelins just aren't that.

Let's look at the height.

Iron Man's armors typically measure in at around 6 foot 5 inches.

They start at his feet and cover him from head to toe.

Again, Javelins are different.

They are 7-foot minimum and can be several feet taller depending on which variation you

choose.

When a pilot enters a Javelin, they're not entering it at the base of the feet.

No, Spectators of Myth, they enter it at the knees.

And this brings us onto the next difference, your maximum flying altitude.

Iron Man, in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War, was able to fly from the Earth's surface

to space and break into an alien ship.

Even the earlier Iron Man armors could fly to levels well above the Earth.

However, Anthem's Javelins do not allow for flight at those altitudes.

The thrusters on these exosuits have a tendency to overheat, so if you fly, or hover for too

long, you'll soon find yourself falling to the ground.

Word is that you'll be able to upgrade the Javelin to fly for longer periods, but it

seems that, at least for now, that flight isn't for pro-longed periods in the world

of Anthem.

Tony Stark has Jarvis, Friday and any number of other advanced artificial intelligences

running at once whenever he's at home or in the armor.

That's an awesome safety net, but it's also something that the Javelins are without.

According to Anthem Executive Producer Mark Darrah, players will have a Cypher.

They're a human who interacts with you while you're in the suit.

Anthem's Lead Writer Cathleen Roosaert explained that cyphers are people with super telepathic

abilities.

So, from that, it seems like they help you communicate.

They're also said to provide support from something called an amplifier chair.

Jarvis provides similar functions, and so much more, for IronMan and the Avengers, but

he is not a flesh and bone human.

He is a computer, and later a witch-wooing android in the movies, but still a synthetic

intelligence nonetheless.

Anthem's Cyphers, meanwhile, are super-talented humans with special abilities, but they're

still human, and that, Spectators of Myth, makes them prone to mistakes and even death.

But it's microchips, or Anthem's lack thereof, that is the biggest reason that Javelins

and Iron Man armor are not the same.

The vast majority of Iron Man's armors use technology that rely on on-board computers

and A.I.

At some point or another, all of these gizmos require microchips.

And that's something the world of Anthem does not have.

Seriously.

These flying armored exosuit arsenals apparently exist in a world with no microchips.

Mark Darrah said quote "Two IP directions for Anthem: Anthem is a world without microchips

and a world without mass production."

End quote.

Microchips, or integrated circuitry, are a keystone of the modern world and have been

for decades.

Everything from your microwave to your radio, smartphone, and games console rely on microchips

to function.

Before microchips, computers were gigantic, sometimes taking up entire rooms and even

more.

This was because devices in the early 20th century relied heavily on bulky vacuum tubes

in order to function.

The development of transistors, and later, the microchip changed all that.

In fact, the closest Anthem's Javelins and Iron Man technology get, it seems, is Iron

Man's Mark 1 Armor.

That's the one Tony built in a cave while being held by the bad guys in Iron Man 1.

The Mark 1 is very crude and bulky compared to the Javelins, and later Iron Man armors.

It's got a manual rocket launcher, flamethrower and, is resistant small fire-arms.

The Mark 1 also has jet boots, but these are used for get-aways and seemingly have no aerodynamic

control.

However, unlike the Javelins, the suit still has some basic computer programming and code

running through it.

It's all very basic, but required a computer, and therefore microchips, nonetheless.

So the question remains, is just how are Anthem's Javelins powered?

What kind of technology is needed in order to get these exosuits to fly, battle and handle

as they do?

Sadly, we do not know, but we're sure in time we'll find out, and hey, if you want

I wanted in the budget, gave me the damn funding for the border wall and Pelosi and the Democrats

said, yeah, that's also not going to happen.

Which led to the longest shutdown and government history.

And that's where we are today now with a national emergency allegedly along our southern border,

Donald Trump and his emergency declaration.

He believes is going to give him the money that he wants for his border wall.

And as we have discussed countless times over the past two months, Donald Trump, absolutely

100% does have the constitutional authority to declare a national emergency.

Beyond that, all of the national emergency powers of the president are up for interpretation.

Now, not even all of them, some of them have already been decided, such as can the president

declare a national emergency and sees another person's property?

The answer to that is no.

The Supreme Court decided that decades ago during the Truman administration, we know

the answer to that and unfortunately for the Donald, part of his emergency declaration

would require him to seize property from landowners in the state of Texas in order to build his

wall.

Supreme Court's already said you can't do that.

So pretty much this national emergency declaration should be Doa.

But you know, back when Truman did it, we were dealing with the supreme court that wasn't

filled with conservative idiots.

So who knows how this could end up?

Maybe they're going to overturn that ruling from the Truman administration.

I doubt it mean.

I think there's a good possibility they wouldn't, but again, you never know.

Politics comes before the law with Republicans, so we'll see.

As for the funding itself, there's several different mechanisms that he could use, none

of which are really going to work out well for him.

He can either have the military itself physically go down there and build the wall.

He can take money out of disaster funds for Puerto Rico and California and that's not

going to go over very well.

Or he could get shut down by Congress depending on which financial route he wants to go.

Congress may actually have to approve it, in which case, again, the deal is Doa.

Bottom line is that he's setting himself up for a massive legal fight ahead and so what

does he do after making this declaration?

He heads to Florida to play golf for the weekend.

That that, that's how big of a national emergency this actually is.

Hey, we've got a national emergency.

Build my wall.

I'm going to go play golf for a few days.

See Ya that.

That's what this president did.

It's what he's doing today.

This is unbelievable.

But more importantly, the issue here is that Donald Trump is trying to expand the powers

of the presidency.

He is trying to inch closer and closer towards being an actual dictator here in the United

States.

And unfortunately it is up to our court system that Republicans had been hacking for decades

or packing, excuse me.

Um, and it's going to be up to those conservative judges to tell them, no, you can't do that.

And I think conservative judges do understand that they do have to limit what this man is

capable of doing because eventually he's not going to be president anymore.

A Democrat will one day be president again and then it's going to go really, really bad

for all of the conservatives who don't want national emergencies about actual emergencies

like climate change, like gun control, like all of the other horrible things.

You know, one in four people can't afford their prescription medicines.

That's a national emergency.

We could seize the means of production at big Pharma, turn it over to the federal government.

We could set the supreme court right now that Truman ruling I was talking about said we

can't, but if this supreme court overturns that home, man, the next Democratic president

is going to have a hell of a lot

of fun.
