What's up guys?
This is KreativeVein and today we'll be going over how to calm yourself down.
For me, this is extremely important as I'm the type of guy that gets into fights often,
both verbally and physically.
While I still get into fights from time to time, I can now control myself to where I
know which fights I will fight, the ones that benefit me, and to know the fights that I
shouldn't fight, the ones that would get me suspended from school, lose my social connections,
or harm my family.
So we'll be going through 4 tips to control yourself, all of these have worked for me
and I'll give you some brief examples of them working and when I should have used them.
Before we get into it, be sure to smash that like button like you'll be smashing your calmness?
Yeah that doesn't fit.
And subscribe if you haven't already.
Step 1: Exercise
My father always told me this.
While my grandfather was a very successful man, he and his son, or my dad, never got
along well as they were rarely around each other.
And when my grandpa was around, he would criticize my dad and they'd get into fights.
Instead of being angry and lashing out back, he would go outside and just run.
He was one of the better track athletes in his school and instead of wasting his time
sulking around, after running he would go to the park and just chill with his friends
instead.
Similar with me, I remember one time I was throwing all my shit against the wall because
I felt anger, and then my dad told me how childish that was and that I could just workout
instead.
I would punch a heavy bag that I had from boxing or just lift.
It's not best to only exercise due to anger, as the point isn't to exercise to get back
at others but to improve yourself, but it does turn your energy into something positive
that will help you.
Step 2: Realize That It's Not Personal
This is kind of just a concept that you need to make a habit of telling yourself, but when
people get mad at you, it's normally due to their own insecurities, someone else getting
mad at them and they want to release it onto someone else, or something similar to that.
My own father has never made me extremely angry, but sometimes other family members
will...
I guess, test me in a way where if I'm improving myself by sleeping earlier to wake up early
to workout, they'll make some underhand comment about how my style of life is backwards and
retarded.
The first time this happened I punched the shit out of the wall and yelled, but was it
worth it?
Nope, I couldn't sleep after that and the day after I was groggy as fuck.
Instead, just realize that the person that said that to me, while family, is lazy as
hell and whenever I go to sleep early, they realize that I'm making improvements that
they aren't, and they want to rationalize it.
Don't ruin yourself.
Understand that you are the first person in your life that matters.
Don't play into their games.
Even in school I see some people calling other students "try-hards," as if trying hard in
life is a bad thing.
Obviously don't make it seem like you put in too much work, learned that from intuition
and the 48 Laws of Power, but in reality do put in work.
Step 3: Breathe and Stay Silent
I'm not telling you to meditate here, but take a few seconds to breathe.
If it's in front of other people and you don't want to cause a scene, just act natural but
take some deeper breaths and just keep quiet.
You'll most likely want to comeback at them with something, but if you're angry most of
the time you'll end up looking like a joke.
If you can remain calm and just let the other person make a few jokes about you and just
laugh it off, that's alright.
Or, if the jab is very personal and you should respond, then once again, remain calm and
just explain to them that it's pretty immature.
Obviously calibrate this to your situation as if this is at school I would sometimes
just fight the person, but in a professional setting don't lose your job.
Breathe and reply calmly, or if possible, just don't say anything.
When my mother was getting angry at me for no reason other than that she had to make
dinner that day (I'm in high school), instead of attacking her again, I just set the table,
and ate in silence.
After about 5 minutes of her rambling through emotions, she calmed down and we ate normally.
Step 4: Leave the Situation
Once again almost everything is based on situation.
There are times where you should stand your ground and not just leave the room.
However, I know that if I stay somewhere and I don't calm myself down enough, it's best
that I just leave for a few minutes before I hurt someone.
I've burned many bridges by not just going to the bathroom and clearing my mind by breathing
but rather by punching that person in the face in front of other kids.
Everyone takes jokes at times, so if this is the one day out of the month where you
get roasted by your friends, don't go super saiyan.
But, if people are messing with you daily and it's not you but rather them that pick
on you for your race, where you come from, or anything else, you should leave the company
or social group.
It's not worth settling somewhere where the people just generally do not like you.
And unless you have a major goal and this is just a stepping stone that you will get
through in a year or so, it's not worth it mentally.
There are many other social groups that won't make you the butt of the joke and many places
where you can work where people accept you.
Or you could even just be self-employed and work in a work-space with other entrepreneurs.
That's all the steps for today, step 1: use the energy to work out, step 2: realize that
it isn't personal, step 3: breathe and use silence, and step 4: leave the situation (both
short term and possibly long term).

How to deal with Setbacks | The Edge | Animated - Duration: 7:05.
So today, I'd be sharing on some points in the book "The Edge, How the Best get better"
written by Michael Heppell. So in this book, the author looks at what makes
highly successful people special? What gives them the Edge? And he refers to these people
who have the Edge as Edgers. And today, I'd be covering the point on Dealing with Setbacks.
Throughout different phases of our life, we are bound to meet with setbacks. Setbacks
are nothing but a natural course of life. But sometimes it can be hard to deal with.
There are countless successful people who have failed repeatedly on their journey to
success. For example, Henry Ford. After two failures, the Ford Motor Co. was his third
business. And, Steve Jobs, he was previously kicked out of Apple.
J. K. Rowling. Harry Potter was rejected by twelve publishers. And Soichiro Honda, he was
actually turned down by Toyota for an engineering job. What about Simon Cowell? He goes bust, moves
back in with his parents and is told he can't be successful in the music business. And Michael
Jordan? He dropped out from his high school basketball team because of his so-called 'lack of
skill'. Without setbacks, there can be no success. Edgers have hundreds of setbacks.
Yes, they feel them. Yes, they hurt. But they learn from them and they quickly move on. So what
can we learn from them? In the short term, we first need to acknowledge that setbacks
are still going to hurt, but just for a shorter period of time. A famous actress shared that
she feels sick when she doesn't get a part. But the thing is that, the day she doesn't
feel anything will be the day she quits acting because the flipside is the thrill when she
does get a role. But what makes her different? The difference is that [she] doesn't sit
and dwell on it for weeks; [she] will be over it in about a day.' Think about it. Is dwelling
over your setbacks going to make the situation any better? Personally, I think the best way
is, just go straight to sleep. Once you wake up, those feelings will sink in and gradually
fade. Sleep wouldn't help your situation but it's going to help you rejuvenate and
allow you to tackle the situation with more energy and a clearer mind. The second step
is to ask yourself, what have you learned from this. We all need to reflect over our
mistakes, because if we don't, we are just simply going to make the same mistakes over
and over again. Great Edgers don't just reflect after a knock: they write it down
and actively learn from setbacks. Personally, I think the best phrase for this is "Forgive
but do not Forget". Forgive yourself for the mistake, but do not forget it and learn
from it. And eventually, you will become a better you. The third step is to change the
timeframe. Ask yourself this, 'How will I feel about this one week, one month or one
year from now?' Well, you probably say that the feelings faded, and the setback didn't
matter as much one week, one month, or even one year later. Remember, Time heals all wounds.
It only hurts because it is in the moment. The fourth step is to stay positive. Alright,
most people are probably gonna say, that's easier said than done. How do I stay positive when
I encounter a setback? Well, you could, if you've practised being positive. If your
natural state is a positive disposition, it is much easier to get back into that positive
state when you hit a challenge. It's akin to a habit. Once you practise being positive
when you don't need to be, you will remember how to be positive when you do. Okay, so basically
the author talks about a more practical way in "The Mental Edge". He talks about how
powerful the ability to park destructive emotions is as well as how it plays a huge part in
our mental and physical health. We as humans, often lack this ability to park destructive
emotions. The author mentioned that there was only one person he interviewed who was
able to express exactly how she parked negative emotions, and her technique was that: whenever
she was faced with a challenging or destructive thought she began by thanking her mind for
giving it to her. Already she was ahead of the game. If the thought concerned something
outside of her control she would visualise it turning into a bird and flying off into
the distance. If the negative thought came back to her, she will imagine it turning into
a bird once again and flying off into the distance. Do try this for yourselves if you
are having difficulties with negative emotions. The more often you practise this, the quicker
becomes your ability to park off negative emotions. Basically the last step is to simply
take action. You need to start focusing your attention on the future and not dwell on the
past. By taking action towards what's next in your life will make you feel better about
the setback. In the long term, you need to stay vital. After a big knock, it's easy
to stop looking after yourself. You might feel like giving up, you might feel like your
life is over. Don't give up on yourself. You, are the important person in your own
life. You need to start taking good care of yourself, especially after a setback. Edgers
flip the disappointment into motivation and focus on feeling great in themselves. Take
a break. Once you have rested enough, it's time to go full speed ahead. A rest is preparation
for a longer journey ahead. And lastly, have the right people around you. Having the right
people around you is essential. Spend time with people who want to see you do well and
will be happy to see you back at the top. So I guess what this advice says is that you
should hang out on this channel more, because the reason why I started this channel was
to help people discover themselves and find their motivation. I would love to see you
do well and be at your top performance. So in conclusion, in the short term, number one,
acknowledge setbacks and not dwell on them. Number two, what lessons have you learned.
Number three, change the timeframe. Number four, stay positive and park negativity. And
number five, take action. In the long term, number six, take care of
yourself. Number seven, which is the last step: surround yourself with the right people. That
is all for this video, thank you for watching and I hope you enjoyed the video. If you do,

How to draw Apple with pastel | tutorial (English subtitles) 🎨 marymagic - Duration: 11:36.
Hello guys
I'm with you again Marymagic
I congratulate you on the coming New Year
Today I want to show you how to draw an apple
It is torture for me, because it looks very appetizing apple want to eat
but for the sake of the master class, I put up a couple of hours
So, let's begin
Before you begin to draw, I want to clarify a few points
Construction of an apple, I'm going to use pastel pencil faber castell. Color, sepia.
I chose the tinted paper for pastel green shade A4.
The first step - do the sketch
For starters learn the line-up and see how the light falls. Where will be the brightest place, and where the darkest
Composing our apple on the eye, which has an almost circular shape.
For convenience I spend the axis of symmetry
The symmetry axis - an imaginary line, which have all symmetrical objects
Such items can be rotated around its axis
Example: The Earth rotates around its axis
Our apple symmetry axis passes between the tail and where was flower
So I showed him
I continue to refine the shape of an apple
My apple a little crooked, it is not perfectly round
So I'm looking at an apple and trying to exactly replicate his form
It is planned to deepen
I draw an ellipse to prove that the apple round and I look at it a little from the top down
Now I outlined drop shadow
Erase extra lines
I put the highlight
Outlines the light and shadow of the apple
highlight
light of the apple
own shadow
drop shadow
slit shadow
and reflex
Reflexes - a colored light and the reflection of the surrounding objects
In my case, from red table
In the future, this apple is clearly visible yellow-red reflex, which gives the table
All objects around us in varying degrees absorb and reflect light
To draw an apple would be enough six colors
yellow
light red
Dark red
purple
black for the shadows
and white
But I see a lot more colors, so try other colors
The more colors added so you get more beautiful and vivid picture
The main thing is not to overdo it, otherwise you can ruin the work
I will use the black
carmine
dark red
light red
orange
yellow
ocher
white
You can then add a dark purple and blue for shade
The second step - fill the outline of the base of the fruit tone
Pastel yellow, apply the basic tone of the image of the fruit
I use lemon-yellow color
This process is similar to creating an underpainting in oil painting
Now you can safely apply other colors
I continue to work dark red
Сreate volume
Please note that when applying dark red to lemon yellow turns orange
Do not forget to constantly shade fingers
With feather I create volume
I am working on the volume and shadow
A good result can be obtained by superimposing a layer of pastel on another
At first, I impose a lighter base tone
Then, saturated colors
It helps me a good amount of transfer
The most bright spot will highlight
I draw his white pastel
and the darkest - Slit shade or in this case the place of contact with a table apple
which can be emphasized in black
I rarely use it, as a black rough work
I'll slit shadow black color, and drop shadow I do by mixing purple, black and red
With the tip of a purple pastel work through the sides apple and deepen the edge of the petiole
I deepen tones
Softening and removing the gap between the falling apple and shadow
Where I should darken pastel pencil
I took a pencil dark brown
I add a little black
I draw a twig
Light falling on the same dimple, so I showed her ocher
I put the highlight
When mixed with red purple color turns brown
I added green
I also added a blue-gray
I put reflexes
Put more highlights
I do ocher reflex on table
Third step- white pastel slightly lighten the background around the apple
Work with horizontal and vertical lines
Leave a free area of a drop shadow
Tint mixture on the edge with your finger for a smooth transition to the white background
Shade shadow gives a sense of dispersal in natural light
White rough background, superimposed over the green-tinted paper visually pushes the form of bright apple
I hope you enjoyed the lesson and was helpful

How to Get More Views on Your Affiliate Review Videos - Duration: 11:05.
hey what is up everybody Zerofatz here
AKA Kam Jennings coming at you on behalf
of Epicconversions.com I want to
talk to you guys today about affiliate
you know review videos and I you know
doing affiliate review videos to earn an
affiliate commission when you're
promoting other people stuff all right
and to do that I want to start by
showing you some typical affiliate
review videos and you usually people are
using a usual you usually use a method
called launch jacking when it comes to
philly review videos and notice notice
the take the the name of the the product
and the put review after it'll put scam
after it or whatever so if we use my
product parabolic content engine this is
the last product i release right and uh
if we we type that in will see a we'll
see stuff down here right
parabolic content engine review is
traffic your problem that's actually my
video parabolic content engine review
and bonuses
let's take a look at one of these here
and I not to put anyone not to put
anyone on blast okay i'm not i'm not
trying to say hey Internet software here
is a crappy person or he doesn't know
what he's doing or whatever at all
whatsoever
I in fact I don't see anything wrong
launch jacking at all i want to show you
guys something to use in addition to
that to give some more traction ok so if
we look at this and you guys distance
publishing and getting influencers so
what we have here for the most part is
my sales video
ok this review video this person posted
is basically my vsl it's my sales video
from the parabolic content engine sales
page um it's that's great you can use
that now here's the thing that via cell
provides a lot of value
all right it does provide value it gives
people an act
action plan if they were going to have
like a blog or a youtube channel and
actually gives them an action plan to
get things done and actually start
producing revenue right that there's
value in the actual sales video and you
might find when you look around you'll
find actual value in sales videos
ok and if you're going to use someone
sales video like this man you might as
well talk about the benefit of the sales
video in the title
okay this is just parabolic on tension
review and bonuses that that is fine for
launch jacking but the problem is the
term parabolic content engine it's it's
not sustainable
I mean that products / i launched that
product a few weeks ago it's over man
it's over but you know it's not over is
some of the benefits that that sales
video provides like how to purdue how to
produce how to produce blog posts on a
regular basis that that will love you
know that will produce revenue though
that would generate traffic for you
regularly you know some of the things i
map out in the sales video for parabolic
content engine you can you can use those
benefits for your title
ok let me give you an example all right
now I'm not saying don't launch Jack I'm
not saying don't use this but let's be
honest there's a lot more people out
there looking for how to make blog posts
how to how to come up with a Content
scheduling system or how to put out
content on a regular basis for your blog
then there are out there looking for a
parabolic content engine review was just
a lot more people and it's more
sustainable in another month
no one's going to be looking at
parabolic content in review
alright which pretty much makes this
video dead it makes it worthless but if
you focus on that benefit that the
product provides and you focus on the
benefit that even the sales video
provides and I say the sales video
because that if you you'll if you target
the benefit of the sales video and your
title then what happens is you're going
to be pulling in the right people and
they're going to be helped by the sales
video because the sales videos actually
providing the thing that you're saying
let me give you guys another example
what I mean yesterday I put out a video
called how to rank blog posts in seconds
ok how to rank blog posts in seconds now
it's already got 7likes it's already got
a hundred 94 views how to rank blog post
seconds case study right now in this
video I basically just do i do i do aii
do i do a like a review of a plug-in
basically i basically show people me
using this plug-in let me get by this
commercial her life in just a few
minutes
some people say no SMS I think you hey
what is up everybody
so I basically show people me using this
plugin
ok and and I'm just demonstrating at
forum and I show them hey i just write
this blog post in seconds that's great
got7 likes hundred 94 views people
appreciated the video but it's a
affiliate review video I'm basically
promoting a product but people still
appreciated it because of the way it was
titled how to rank a blog post in
seconds case study
ok now look here's the thing
consider this if I go and I visit this
products page this is more pass i'm
going to find a video right here of mark
s pretty much doing the exact same thing
that I just did now people when they
launched Jack they take this sales page
video and they put it on their YouTube
channel and they title it's something
like a rapid SEO indexer review or is
rapid SEO indexer a scam and they do
something like that and then they put
this video on their right and and I say
hey cool if that works for you a little
bit go ahead but the point is I could
have just taken this video right here
and I could have put it
let me just get rid of this I could've
taken that video right there and I can
use that instead of my own video and i
would type of it like this and still
have more views more likes more comments
then by just titling it you know SEO
rapid SEO indexer review
okay because there's more people out
there looking for how to rank blog posts
and seconds then there are people out
there looking for rapid SEO indexer
review that's just the way it is and the
other end of that the other spectrum of
that is this is more sustainable ok this
right here how to rank blog posts and
seconds
guess what next year nobody is probably
going to care about are you know rapid
SEO indexer they're still going to care
about how to rank blog post seconds
they're still going to care
ok this is a perpetual thing that people
care about how to rank my blog post how
to get more traffic to my blogpost how
do i get more eyes on my blog post i
just wrote a cool blog post I don't get
people to see it
alright these are perpetual problems
that they're around forever so I'm not
telling you guys don't launch Jack I'm
not telling you don't do your videos
like that but I am saying you might
consider doing two separate videos you
might consider titling 11 way and tiling
one the other way and see which one gets
you more traction
I guarantee you after a couple weeks
when the launch buzzes over and
everybody's on to the next thing these
kind of titles are going to be much more
sustainable for you they're gonna
generate you more evergreen Commission's
okay if we're dealing with products that
are staying on the market these kind of
videos that are titled this way where
you focus on the benefit of the sales
video or you focus on the benefit of the
product focus on the benefit in the
title and just focus on the benefit
period when on your video review and
you're going to have more sustainable
success when it comes to the affiliate
affiliate review videos
anyways I just wanted to show you that a
quick little tip for you hope it's
helpful also I want to point something
else out for you

《你,好不好?How have you been》【2016年結製作】— Saxophone cover by Alex Lau - Duration: 4:56.
How are you now?
Do you still, will always show up late
Working all night and losing sleep
When your objective has been achieved
Then should stop always acting tough
It's my fault, having high self esteem
Didn't take good care of you
Arrogance, is the mask for your weakness
I'm afraid you don't want my heart
Can you stay here to cry to me , laugh with me , nice to me
Keep on let me think for you , craze for you , age with you
How have you been, I wanna know
Don't rush to throw the past away
I want you to stay close to me , talk to me , fight with me
The good of me can be used to throw the bad old me away now
I wanna hear, you'll say you love me too
But we can't go back to that time
How have you been
No one knows, I can't endure further
Regret, it burns through my heart
Hold tight, once more is all I want
I can do whatever you want
Can you stay here to cry to me , laugh with me , nice to me
Keep on let me think for you , craze for you , age with you
Do you still want my care for you
An answer I won't dare to know
I want you to stay close to me , talk to me , fight with me
Don't use your leave to teach me, I lost most precious to me
Don't say you ever did love me
Let's go back to time again
Would you like to?
Can you stay here to cry to me , laugh with me , nice to me
Keep on let me think for you , craze for you , age with you
How have you been, I wish I would know
Don't rush to throw my love away
I want you to stay close to me , talk to me , fight with me
Don't use your leave teach me, I lost ones precious to me
Don't say you ever did love me
Let's go back to time again
How have you been?

How To Use The Scout Class In Battlefield 1 [Battlefield 1: 101] [G-Legend] - Duration: 3:38.
yo what is up everybody my name is G-legend today I want to thank you first
and foremost like always
thank you for taking out my battle field 1:101 series on my channel it's designed
to help people who are used to be called the fans transfer over to battle field
today I want to talk to you guys but understanding the site class in
battle field 1 i want to lay it all out for the former color duty fans that have
never played battlefield make it easy for you guys to understand just like
I've been doing for the rest of this series so if you're a college degree
gamer who is struggling to understand battlefield I suggest you may want to go
check out that series that i have for you guys don't forget to Like subscribe
it helps me a lot
without further ado don't go anywhere casks with just getting started
yeah
already so the scout class is closely related to these Soviets Oh mother it's
closer related to the support class okay you work and a half with the support
people and but nonetheless you're still different like there's so many things
that are different like 41 your sniper and they're not and because you're a
sniper your job that's just my people from afar it's to protect your team from
afar
so I mean that's really all there is to it this is your sniper class if you're
this sniper from black ops 3 over in college in general you have always been
the sniper you're going to want to take the sculpt class but you also have to
take into consideration and you know make sure that you know this you can't
go in there making that you're going to quickscope some motherfuckers all the
time I know what's that many times but i have to keep expressing it
this is not call of duty it is very very different even though with the first
person shooter and is still nonetheless extremely different so don't think for
one second that quickscoping somebody and battlefield one is the same as
quickscoping somebody in college ability it's very different
you're not gonna do it and if you do it you just got lucky that's it
so instead why don't you just go to about this point and shoot enemies from
there
snipe them all out you can get a lot of kills that way and it helps your team
out so it's a win with ok do that do that if you got to get the kills go in
the backe cap in the back and shoot the enemies from afar
everybody wins if you do that so to close off this class of course is
typically bad for close-quarters combat so make sure that you know that and then
not try to find a good bath . like i said it's not the enemies from there and
then don't forget to adjust your sniper rifle for 75 or a hundred meters or 300
meters
don't forget that you can do that you can do that you can adjust your meter
range so that you can actually get kills I've actually tried getting kills at
like the 70 meter range when my gun was set at 300 meters and I couldn't
and then the same is true for the opposite you know the enemy was like a
300-meter range and my gun was 70 and I you know I couldn't get killed
so anyway I think that's going to wrap up this video don't forget to Like
subscribe and how do you check out my channel if you like first-person shooter
tips and tricks and stuff like that
my goal is to inspire you and it's in to enlighten you so do give me a chance to
do that anyway I hope you guys have a great day i'm going to catch you guys
later and i'll see you in the next one
yeah

Amazing Soups - MATZO BALL SOUP - How To Feed a Loon - Duration: 11:26.
[MUSIC]
>> Now what's this?
>> Matzo meal.
>> Well, it looks like sawdust.
>> It's ancient food dating back to Biblical times.
>> No wonder it looks like sawdust.
[LAUGH] >> Hey everybody!
Welcome to How to Feed a Loon, I'm Kris >> And I'm Wesley.
>> The Biblical Loon...
>> [LAUGH] The Loon.
>> And folks, it's gotten cold outside.
It's that time of the year here in the United States.
So that means one thing, we need something to warm us up, right?
>> Soup!
>> We're doing soup.
>> Yes. >> We're going to do one our favorite
soups of all time, matzo ball soup.
Yay, it's so good, it's so wonderful.
>> I love it.
Now, growing up in South Dakota, we only had one Jewish family in town.
>> Yeah.
>> So I wasn't very familiar with the Jewish heritage at all when I
came to New York.
>> When I was a kid in Texas, I didn't know of many Jewish families.
And then maybe there were and I think there are now, but then we moved-
>> Well, I would hope there are.
>> We moved to New York and
this entire world of ethnic cuisine just opened up to us.
>> I mean literally an entire world.
It's amazing.
>> Ethiopian, remember the Ethiopian that we had?
>> Yes, but we're making some Jewish matzo ball soup right now.
So let me show you how fabulous it is.
Okay, it all starts like many, many great soups do, with a really,
really wonderful stock.
Now I'll tell you, you gotta make this stock the day before you plan on serving
it, and I'll tell you why in just a minute.
But you're going to need to do this the day before the serving.
>> Yeah. >> All I did was I took a gallon of water,
and then I got a whole chicken that was cut into eighths.
I added that into the water and
then I started to build the flavor profile with some vegetables.
>> Hm.
>> I used a couple of leeks that were really well washed and diced.
I did some celery.
I did some carrots.
I did garlic.
I put some black peppercorns in there.
And then I made something that's called a little bouquet garni, which is just
a little satchel I used of cheese cloth and I put some herbs in there.
>> Yeah. >> And you can use whatever you like.
I like to use the leaves from the celery stocks.
>> Mm-hm.
>> As well as some thyme.
I did yesterday, thyme, I did parsley.
Whatever you like you can do.
But that just enriches the stock.
And then you put that in there.
>> Now I made a post about the first cooking of the stock.
>> A post on the blog.
>> Yes, so you'd have to look that up.
It's actually kind of funny.
>> Yeah, yeah, it was hysterical.
>> I came home and there's all this chicken and I'm like, [SOUND],
what are we having a party?
>> [LAUGH] >> Chicken party, and said, no,
I'm making stock, and ever since then, he's really put stock in my stock.
>> [LAUGH] Adore the stock.
>> All right, let's get back to this.
Okay, so anyway then I crank the heat up, brought that to a boil and
then skimmed off any of the impurities that rise to the top.
And then I turned it down to a nice, slow simmer and then it just cooked for hours.
About three, three and half hours and the house just smells heavenly.
You were rolling around on the couch wondering what
was going on in the kitchen.
>> Yeah, it kind of smells like chicken and dumplings.
>> Well, it's very similar, it's very similar.
Okay, so after it's cooked, then what I did was I removed the carrots and
I sliced them, and I've got them right here.
I took the chicken and I shredded the chicken off of the bones and
I saved it right here because these are both going to go back into the soup.
You don't waste anything.
But then you do discard the other things that you don't need, and
I just used a strainer into a big bowl.
Got that stock, put it into a container.
Now this is where I was saying you need to make it, what?
>> This chicken's from the- >> [CROSSTALK] The chicken that
was cooked in the stock.
Yeah, like I say, we use it all.
>> Love it!
>> And so anyway, I put that stock in a container.
Now I'm getting to why you need to make it the day before.
I put that container in the refrigerator.
And if you've ever made stock before, and this is kind of neat,
it's helpful, it does this, the layer of fat from the chicken, cooking it,
it sort of stays at the top and it congeals.
And it makes, in Jewish terms what's called Schmaltz.
>> Schmaltz.
It's so [LAUGH] fun to say.
>> It is fun to say.
You're kind of schmaltzy, that's for sure.
>> You know what?
If it's good, then I'm schmaltzy.
>> So you're going to take that schmaltz the next morning when you get up, and
it's congealed.
It's real easy to remove with a spoon.
You're going to take about three tablespoons.
Put it into a little bowl.
I got one right here.
And then you're going to use that in your matzo balls that I'm going to show you how
to make.
And that just adds some flavor, and it also acts as a binder.
And it's really good, it's schmatzy heaven, it's so good.
Okay?
So now I've got that stock that I told you about.
It's back on the skillet.
It's simmering, it smells so good, it's ready to go.
So now I want to show you how to make these matzo balls because these are really
authentic matzo balls and I just love it.
Now this is not sea dust or saw dust.
>> Saw dust.
>> Sorry, sea dust [INAUDIBLE].
This is a cup and a quarter of matzo meal.
Matzo meal is easy to find.
I found it in the Jewish section of our supermarket.
>> But now it's becoming so-
far reached that you don't even have to have a Jewish section.
>> Yeah, no, it's easy to find.
This is some dill that I've chopped, and this is some parsley.
Now you can go to, as always,
howtofeedaloon.com and get this complete recipe.
Get all of the measurements exactly how I did it.
I'm going to take about, let's do about a teaspoon of some nice Kosher salt.
Perfect for- >> Perfect for your matzo ball.
>> Matzo ball soup. And then I'm going to do, I don't know,
quarter teaspoon of black pepper.
Now, just kind of mix this up and I love using my hands.
There's no better tool than your fingers.
And then we're going to take the schmaltz.
>> Yay, the schmaltz.
>> And I'm just going to again just use my fingers.
There's no better tool when you're trying to get schmaltzy.
[LAUGH] Use your fingers.
>> Now the matzo balls,
how many do you usually put in a serving?
>> Well, I mean, it depends.
We go to that one deli and they make the matzo balls,
they're like the size of a basketball.
>> On 34th Street?
>> Yeah.
>> They're good, I mean, they're huge.
It's one giant ball in the middle of the soup-
>> It's so warm.
>> But I typically do them one inch size, and it's going to make 12, probably.
No, I'm all right, I still got some more handwork to do here.
>> All right.
>> All right, now we're going to start to add in more of this liquid so
it starts to come together.
This is a half a cup of the stock that I made yesterday.
And then I took four eggs and I separated them.
So I've got my yolks here, that's four egg yolks.
Now I think I will start using my handy dandy wooden spoon.
Don't really want to work with raw egg that much.
Okay, you can see that.
>> No, no raw egg please.
>> So now that's really starting to form a dough, which is lovely.
My gosh, those seasonings.
I mean the aromatics, you can already smell it.
It's really, really great.
>> Mm-hm. >> Now what this is,
is I took those egg whites that I told you about, that were divided.
And there's four of them and I took my handheld mixer and
I put them in a bowl and I mixed them on high,
for literally about two minutes, until soft peaks formed.
>> Kind of like a meringue but without the sweetness.
>> It is, it is.
And I put about a quarter teaspoon of salt in there too.
And then you just kind of mix that in there, and what this does is just adds in
a layer of airiness that just can't be beat.
It makes it fluffy.
>> Yes, and dense at the same time.
>> Well, you were saying that the other day because I said I love-
>> [CROSSTALK] But there's a mouthful.
>> It's an interesting combination, matzo balls are, because matzo,
it is a little dense but then you do these tricks, these tips to kind of
lighten them up and make it airy and it's really a wonderful combination.
Now you see that, isn't that pretty?
>> Mm. >> Delicious, okay.
>> Mm-hm. >> I think I haven't forgotten anything.
Okay, very good.
So now, all you have to do, you're almost there,
this is going to go in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
It's a little wet now.
It's going to firm up and then you're going to take it back out.
You're going to form whatever size balls you like, but
I like my balls to be- >> [CROSSTALK] Medium-sized balls.
>> Medium-sized, like one inch in diameter.
Because what happens when you put them in that stock and you let them cook,
they really do expand.
They almost double in size.
So, you'll literally have basketballs and become too big.
>> [LAUGH] Basketball matzo ball.
>> So you put those in there, you cover your stock.
And I say let go about 45 minutes.
You can tell when those things are done.
And then in the last ten minutes of cooking, you take this chicken,
you put this carrots into the soup and let those just heat through.
And then you're really pretty much done.
I would taste to see if maybe it needs a little more salt,
if you want to adjust the seasonings, but you are good to go.
>> So now those carrots actually were in a danger zone
in our fridge, because I love those carrots.
>> I know, it's like living with Bugs Bunny.
>> [LAUGH] >> All right, so now I've gone ahead and
made you a bowl of matzo ball soup.
>> Yeah, I see it right there.
[SOUND] Look at that.
>> I know, I know.
>> Look at the matzo balls.
>> We got so far.
I had to sort of bring it on home.
And then I love to just garnish this with just a few little dill sprigs.
It's pretty and it also adds just a lovely flavor to it, and you're good to go.
>> I love this.
>> I'm so jealous that you always get to be the one that-
>> [CROSSTALK] I'm sorry,
there's a bunch of balls in here, so you can have one too.
>> It's a ball I tell you.
>> Okay, I'm going to get some balls, some, there we go.
>> It is called How to Feed a Loon so.
>> Yes, it is.
Mm, all right.
>> I love it.
>> Mm, the dill.
Do you usually add dill to matzo balls?
>> Yeah, and then there's dill in the balls themselves.
>> Mm, that chicken stock.
Homemade >> Yeah.
>> Really makes it- >> [CROSSTALK] You can tell?
>> Mm. >> You can tell.
>> Wow, that is so good.
>> It's heartwarming, [INAUDIBLE]- >> I know.
>> And you probably wouldn't say, you know,
that's really great tasting schmaltz, but it really does add to the flavor.
[LAUGH] >> [LAUGH] It does, yeah.
>> Now that is totally approved by me.
>> That's Loon approved.
And that's How to Feed a Loon.
>> Now you can get this recipe and many more on howtofeedaloon.com.
>> And be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so
you can see videos like this and many, many more.
And don't miss out on any of the fun.
>> None.
>> Yay.
>> Yay.
>> All right, I'm digging in, I can't wait.
>> All right.
>> Now what'd you think, was the texture like what you remember, what you like,
kind of airy, but kind of dense?
>> Yeah, exactly.
When you have a bite of it, you'll know that it's kind of fluffy and-
>> See, I would never take that and
think oo, it's just the perfect consistency.
I love it.
>> It's so good.
It's so good.
>> And these carrots are perfectly cooked.
>> I know, the carrots are my favorite.
Well, the matzo ball's my favorite.
>> Mm, so good.
>> Hurry up, I want some more.

How To Hold Table Tennis Racket Correctly | Part 2 | Chinese Technique - Duration: 11:43.
Welcome to EmRatThich.
Happy New Year ! Today is 01/01, our 1st Ping Sunday in 2017.
I will explain the most important tips / advices of how to hold the table tennis racket correctly
based on Chinese technique.
This is the part 2.
But firstly, I want to share with you a true story ...
I'm the fastest improving player in my club.
There's an amateur young player who always watch my training session.
One day, I asked him "Hi Vic, how long have you trained?"
"8 years ...". "What ! You have trained 8 years and still
...". I saw a sadness in his eyes Another day, I watch his training session
for beginner player.
He is very motivated.
But he holds his racket like this ... Vic can't loop properly with this grip.
He can only block the ball.
Poorly Vic, it's a waste of time to train with this bad grip ...
And the coach didn't correct him even during 8 years.
Oh no ! He didn't have enough time or he didn't want how to correct ?
I feel sad and angry ... That's is the true story that leads me to
make this video.
Before showing what is the good grip based on Chinese philosophy, I want to discuss with
you
Your
comment encouraged me a lot.
Sometimes I just want to give up making videos.
It takes to much time of my weekend to make video.
I do not want to make a bad video, but I also have 2 young kids any many other tasks.
I am very happy with your feedback and
I continue I have a problem and
I need your advices.
Please comment and I will decide based on your advices.
I don't mean to put down others.
I just want to improve the coaching as I know the fastest way to improve is to show the
players or the coach about their errors.
But if it hurts I would stop it.
I need your opinions.
Now, I will show you the most important key points to remember before holding your racket
There are many good guides showing you how to hold the racket correctly.
For example: All about table tennis, PingSkills, ButterFly Magazine, Killerspin, Greg Letts,
Ping Pang Wang, Expert Table Tennis and others....
But it seems that these 3 key points of a table tennis grip has not been clearly explained
... First keypoint, due to the hand anatomy, you
can hold your racket by 2 muscle groups:
Group 1: You hold mainly by little finger, ring finger and middle finger (compartements
6, 5, 4)
Group 2: You hold mainly by thumb and index finger (compartement 1, 2, 3)
Table tennis player are mainly taught to hold the racket as holding a normal object by using
the muscle group 1 (little, ring and middle).
But do you know that the muscle group 1 is also the extensor compartments of the wrist.
By using the group 1, the wrist rotation is blocked, less freedom.
You can verify it yourself.
Now, hold your index, ring and middle finger STRONGLY and try to rotate your wrist from
(left - right).
If you hold your fingers very strong, you can hurt your wrist !
Now try the group 2.
Try to pinch STRONGLY by using your thumb and index finger and try to rotate your wrist.
You can see that the group 2 less affects the rotation of your wrist.
Your wrist has smore freedom with group 2.
So please remember holding a table tennis racket is different than holding an object.
Try to hold firstly with only your thumb and index (pinch).
Using this muscle group will let your wrist can freely rotate, which is very important
in table tennis.
Then slightly put your middle, ring and little finger on the racket.
The main applied force comes from the thumb and the index (group 2) but not from the group
1.
Chinese coach says that "If you hold the bat correctly, someone comes from your back can
suddenly pull it out of your hand".
That means you shouldn't hold your racket firmly, but hold it loosely and by the thumb
and index.
This is the best way to hold your racket, as your wrist can freely rotate, and the racket
is at the same line with your arm, which is crucial to loop correctly.
The second keypoint: Holding your racket as compact as possible.
Look at the photo, the finger are close together, which makes a very compact and solid grip.
There are many advantages of holding compact.
First, the more you compact your finger, the less uses of compartement 4, 5, 6, and more
freedom of the wrist.
Second, a compact grip provides a better feeling of the ball as your fingers are close together,
it's clearer to feel the ball.
Third, a compact grip makes a better support when you want to apply pressure on the grip.
Try to seperate your fingers on the handle and you can feel that it's harder to support
your stroke, especially for BH to FH transition.
You can understand now why Zhang Jike has a very compact grip.
A compact grip is crucial for him, as his weapon is BH flip, BH counter attack which
require an absolute freedom of the wrist.
His BH-FH transition during rally is very fast too.
Please remember:
- You should never hold your racket and block your wrist.
Using wrist is a must in table tennis.
Use your thumb and index to hold your racket.
Loosen your little, ring and middle finger on the handle.
- Make a compact grip.
Put your fingers close together.
Your index finger should be very close to the handle.
If you put it far away from the handle, it's easier to block, but not good to loop the
ball.
If you have a wrong grip.
It's time to correct it now.
It's very hard to change your grip after a long time of holding a bad grip.
However, if you succeed to correct it.
You will discover a new horizon of your table tennis.
You will discover that it is much easier to do some techniques that you can never do it
before...
If you are a coach, it's much more important to show your players the principle, the keypoints
of holding a racket than showing "hold the racket like this, hold like that".Because
if the player understand the keypoint, they can improve their grip, and adapt their grip
based on their playing style.
That's it for today.
I will show the 3rd principle, and how to hold a penhold racket Next Ping Sunday !
Happy New Year & See you, EmRatThich.
