Youtube daily how Sep 1 2017

Hi this is Dr. Fab Mancini and I'm so excited that you've joined us because I love this

new season.

I am going to do a topic you give me, not one that I create on my own or that my team

helps me with.

I'm only doing topics that you're sending to me.

This one actually comes from Jeannie; she lives in Manhattan, New York.

And Jeannie writes to me, "Dr. Fab, how do I ask for help?"

I know that most of us like to do for others.

Very few of us ever ask for help.

And I want you to know that it's just as important when you do for others as it is to ask for

help.

So let me tell you what happened to me.

I was going through a difficult time a couple years ago, and I had this friend that I had

helped three years before, and I helped them through a very difficult situation.

This individual came to my rescue and said, "Hey Fab, I can help you."

And you know what I said?

"Hey, no, man, it's okay.

I don't need any help."

You know what he said to me?

"Remember three years ago when you helped me?

This is what happened."

And I said, "Yeah, but it was my honor.

It was my pleasure."

He said, "Then why are you trying to rob me from helping you?"

Don't rob other people from helping you.

Just the same joy and excitement you get from helping others, let them get the same satisfaction.

So let me give you three ways to ask for help.

The first one is know that others want to help you.

Just know that in your heart.

Everyone around you wants to help you.

In fact, I have a mantra that says God has put everyone in my path in order to help me

accomplish my mission in life.

Everyone around you wants to help you.

The second thing is put your ego aside.

What keeps us from sometimes asking for help or even receiving help is our ego.

Don't make it about your ego.

Put your ego aside and accept the help.

Embrace the help.

And the last one is, accept it when it comes.

See, many times the help is coming to us all the time but we keep rejecting it, we keep

pushing it away.

Accept it.

Just open your arms and say thank you.

Yes, I need it.

Yes, thank you.

I want it.

I appreciate it.

Whatever you have to say.

I hope you've enjoyed these three tips and I can't wait to

see you on the next show.

How to Use an Analytical Balance - Duration: 3:51.

One of the most commonly used pieces of equipment in biotech laboratories is

called an analytical balance. We can use it to take very precise measurements...

four places to the right of the decimal point. Keep in mind that a small paperclip

weighs about one gram. In other words the analytical balance isn't designed for

weighing heavy items. For example, this balance has a maximum weight of 310

grams. That's about the same weight as a can of tomato soup. Weighing anything larger

than that will cause damage. The first consideration is selecting the workspace.

The balance needs to be placed on a steady surface such as a marble counter

or a lab workbench in order to minimize vibrations. The balance shouldn't be used

near doorways or air vents because it's sensitive enough to be affected by air

currents. Check to see if the balance is level. Adjust the feet until the air

bubble is inside the black ring. If the balance has been unplugged or turned off

you need to let it warm up and reach the required operating temperature. Let's try

an example. We want to measure out 1.5 grams of sodium bicarbonate. Typically we

use weighing paper for measuring anything less than 5 grams. Fold the opposite

corners of the weighing paper together and make a crease. Then do the same for

the other corners. Place the paper on the balance pan. Close the side doors and

press the tare button to zero out the paper. Use a lab scoop to slowly add the

sodium bicarbonate to the paper. Close the glass doors and wait for the balance

to lock in its reading. Continue adding sodium bicarbonate until

you reach 1.5 grams. Close the doors to read the actual

weight. 1.5026 grams - and always document your work in your lab notebook.

Let's do another example. This time we'll weigh something a little heavier so

we'll use a weigh boat instead of paper. Let's measure out 12.19

grams of powdered Tris buffer. Place the weigh boat on the balance pan. Close the side

doors and press the tare key. We're aiming for 12.19 grams

so the measurement should be within plus or minus 0.02 grams. Always document your

work in your lab notebook. Cleaning the balance is an important step, especially

at the end of the day. Put it into standby mode or unplug it. Remove the weigh

pan and components by lifting straight up.

Use a very soft bristle paintbrush to sweep off any powder remaining inside

the weigh chamber and in the grooves for the glass doors. Once it's clean, replace

the drip ring and the weigh pan.

Now you're ready to head into the lab and practice using an analytical balance

hands-on. To find in life science course near you visit nccommunitycolleges.edu

or ncbionetwork.org.

How To Do Your Eyebrows - Duration: 3:48.

Hi everyone, This is Rupa.

Welcome back to my channel. Today I'm going to show you

all how to do your eyebrows. So if you are a beginner and want to see how to do

eyebrows or how to shape your eyebrows then please keep on watching.

To do your brows first you need is a brow pencil, a brow powder, a brow gel and a concealer.

Also you'll be needing an angled brush, a flat brush and any small blending brush.

Here I'm going to take a brow pencil from BH Cosmetics. I'm just combing my

brow hair in upward direction and at the end of my brow I'm combing them to the

direction where naturally my brow hair go.Then I'm just lining the lower

portion of my brows without making the lines so sharp and making sure to use

very soft stroke of lines. I'm also lining the upper portion of my

brow and also filling in my brows here. For me I don't like very thick eyebrows

cause i feel it doesn't look so good on me. So I like my eyebrow shapes to be

closer to my natural eyebrows.

Also I really like this brow pencil because it is already making my brow

hair sticky enough and it is already staying in place. This is something I

really like about this product. Here I'm using vertical stroke of lines for front

of my brow hair and I'm going very light hand too.

Then I'm brushing the brow hair to blend the product really nicely and making the

brow look as natural as possible. Then I'm taking a brow powder which is close

match with my hair color and taking this angled brush I'm going to place the

powder to places where I feel like I need to fill in. After that I'm taking my

brow gel from BH Cosmetics and placing it on my brow hair. Doing this will make

my stubborn brow hair stay in place. Then I'm taking my concealer and my flat

brush and putting very small amount of product under my brows to define my

brows even more. Also I'm doing this to clean up my brows. Taking my blending

brush from BH Cosmetics I'm going to blend the concealer and make it look

smooth enough.

I'm going to take the same flat brush and going to clean up a little bit at

the arch of my eyebrows cuz I don't like the pointed arch I like it a little bit

round. Here I'm just blending the product. Lastly I'm just combing my brow hair

with the spoolie one more time to blend everything nicely.

That's it

So I hope you guys like my eyebrow tutorial, if you do then give this video

How to Choose the Right Needle for Bead Weaving & Seed Beads-Friday Findings Tutorial - Duration: 10:00.

Have you ever done bead weaving, working with tiny seed beads?

If so, you know the importance of using the right beading needle.

In today's video I'm going to go over the different types of needles there are out there

that you can use in your bead weaving.

Hi there, Sandy here.

Welcome to another Friday Findings video at KeepsakeCrafts.net.

So these are just a few of the bead woven bracelets I've made lately.

I was actually on kind of a bead weaving kick last winter.

I knew it wouldn't last long.

I had fun while it did and made some bracelets that I wear all the time.

And one of the things that struck home with me is the importance of having a good needle

that suits you and does the job well.

Now before we look at the needles, what you need to think about are the seed beads that

you're going to be using.

Here I have a sampling of several different sizes and you can see they vary very widely.

Seed beads are measured in terms of a number and the smaller the number, the larger the

bead.

So these ones are 6/0s and these ones you can find often in tubes like this at your

craft store.

They're definitely the easiest to find and also pretty easy to work with because they're

so big.

Then we have 8/0s, which are nice size.

In fact, this bracelet, these are 8/0s right along here.

These are 11/0s.

And these are some of the smallest you're going to find, these are 15/0s.

They're really tiny and it can be very tricky to string them, not just because it's difficult

to find a needle that will not only fit them, but...yeah, that one isn't going anywhere...but

go over the eye, also you need to remember that with a design like this, you're going

to be going through the bead many, many passes.

So that's important to keep in mind.

So you really need a very fine and strong needle and it's helpful if it's easy to thread.

So the first question that often comes up is, "Why can't I just use regular sewing needles

to do my beading?"

And the answer is sometimes you can, but usually it's not a good idea and let me show you why.

Here are some sewing needles.

These are ancient!

These were in either my mother-in-law's or my grandmother's sewing kit.

Look at that, it's got linen for the backer that's holding it and these are some pretty

nice, fine needles and I've left out some 15/0s for demonstration.

And it goes over just fine.

Now if you want to test a needle like this for working with a particular size seed bead,

don't just test one bead because they tend to be a little bit inconsistent, so you can

find that one will work and the next nine won't and really drive yourself crazy.

So make sure you test a bunch.

Actually, these look, they're sharps.

They're pretty small, they've got a small eye.

So they probably would work if you can get your thread through that eye.

That's another issue, but most of the time, and here's some big ones.

You can't see it so much on these, but the eyes generally flare out a little from the

point and that causes a problem with beading and you can see it better with these.

It's exaggerated with these where you can see how much thicker the eye is than even

just the shaft, never mind the point.

So the thing about beading needles is that they've taken the time to make sure that the

eyes are small as well as the shaft and that they don't flare out so you don't have those

problems when you're beading.

One type of beading needle that I don't have, but is often used by beaders, are English

beading needles.

They work great with the tiny beads and there's also Milliner's needles.

They are very thin.

Just use the thinnest size that you feel comfortable handling.

What's nice about the English beading needles and the Milliner's is that they're stiff and

yet flexible.

One of the types that I like to use are big eye needles or you can call them all eye needles.

Here's a tube I just purchased and I'll have links to these on my blog post.

And you can see it's a big eye, the whole needle is one big eye.

It's just two wires that are fastened together on each end and of course that makes it super

easy to thread and they're quite flexible, which can be a plus and it can be a problem.

And depending on what you're doing, in this tube I've got two sizes of needles.

It depends on the type of work that you're doing if you need a particularly long needle

or not.

I really love this tube.

I think I'm going to store all my needles in here.

Because most of my needles look like this, these are also big eye needles and you can

see they are round, long and used and most of my needles end up looking like this.

They're just bent all to heck, but they still work great.

And it's good to have extras because sometimes you'll pull a little too hard and you will

break this join here.

So it's good to have extras so you don't end up without a needle in the middle of a project.

Most upsetting.

What's nice about these big eye needles is that you can usually find these at craft stores,

Joann's and such.

Another type of needle if you need something that's very flexible are these twisted beading

needles.

Don't know how well you can see it.

You can almost hear it.

Can you hear that?

This needle actually consists of two pieces of very fine wire that have been twisted together

and then they left this big end untwisted.

Again, mine is just bent into some crazy shape.

And this makes threading really easy.

Sometimes it's called a collapsible eye needle.

Sometimes they look like that one and sometimes they look more like this one with a loop at

the end, but once you've pulled it through a bead, I'll just show you here, that loop

just flattens right out.

And these come as you can see in really long.

It depends again on what you're doing.

These are really floppy.

These ones are very fine and kind of floppy so it depends on the work you're doing.

Sometimes you'll want something really flexible.

Sometimes you want something more stiff.

That's why I really like the big eye needles because they're kind of in between.

They're flexible, but not too floppy and they're not too stiff.

These ones are nice.

These are extra fine beading needles and I have a couple different lengths again.

Bent into crazy shapes and these are very fine.

There we go.

No problem with the 15/0s, but they have a pretty small eye.

I don't know if you can see that.

They eyes are kind of tricky.

So often when you give up the big eye, you gain in stiffness.

You really have to know what it is that you need for the particular project you're working

on.

Most of the time for projects like this, I want something with a little bit of flex because

maybe I'm going around this line and I'd like to scoop 4-5 beads on at once instead of having

to go through one at a time.

So I would definitely want a needle with a little bit of flexibility so that I can do,

see there, I can get four beads on at one time.

The tricky thing by the way about these is they can be a pain to reuse once you've collapsed

that eye, but it's really not that big a deal.

I usually just go in with another needle and kind of tease it open if I need to.

I don't know why I bought this.

I have to turn it sideways to show it on camera.

This is one large big eye needle.

This thing is what, 5`" long.

I don't really do loom work, maybe that's what this is for, but just to show you that

you can get these.

Yeah, this is one long big eye needle.

So you can get them in all different lengths and flexibilities and types of eyes to suit

the kind of work you're doing.

If you haven't done much bead weaving, usually the directions that the pattern maker gives

you will suggest the type of needle to use and I would suggest using their suggestions.

And then you can always branch out and try something new on your own if you find you

don't love it.

So be sure to go to my blog post that accompanies this.

I'll have links not only to all of these needles here, where you can find them, but I will

also have links to all of the bead weaving patterns for the bracelets that I showed at

the beginning.

That way, if you want to give bead weaving a try, jump in and see how you like it.

Like I said, just follow the instruction's recommendations for everything to begin with

and then once you're done, you can go ahead and strike out on your own.

Real Girl, Real Problem: How Temporary is Temporary Hair Dye? | ELLE - Duration: 1:47.

Hi I'm Gena, and today I'm going to do a Beauty Roadtest where I'm going to dye my hair blue.

This is a Moody Girls temporary color mask.

The color is called "Crybaby," and it's supposed to last 3-6 washes.

We're going to follow along and see if the color actually comes out.

I'm a little nervous it will never wash out.

I'm a little nervous I will ruin my hair forever, but we'll see how long it lasts.

Ok we're all set with the hair dye now.

Does it look blue guys?

Probably can't tell too much now because it's wet.

Here were are, on Day 3 of my new blue hair.

I have shampooed it one time.

It's still pretty blue, I'm starting to see a few blonde pieces peek through again...but

I like that, it looks kind of like cool and highlighted.

Hey everybody, we're back it's been one week since I dyed my hair.

I've washed it four times.

Definitely still some blue in it.

It's kind of looking a little sea-foam greeny at this point, and we'll check back in after

another shampoo or two and see if it's completely gone.

We're here doing my final check-in on my wash out hair dye.

It's been a few weeks, and I think I've washed my hair probably 8 or 9 times now.

The dye was supposed to last 3-6 shampoos, so it's been a little more than that.

It's pretty much completely out, you can see like the slightest hint of what was blue,

but now looks slightly green now.

But at any rate it was really fun to have blue hair for a few weeks, I'm glad to be

back to blonde...but maybe I'll try a new color next!

How to make Roasted Goat Cheese Peaches with Prosciutto and Honey - Duration: 6:06.

How to make Roasted Goat Cheese Peaches with Prosciutto and Honey

Hello and welcome back to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your host Matt Taylor.

Today I am going to show you how to make roasted peaches, topped with a goat cheese, prosciutto,

and a little bit of honey, mmm, so yummy.

I had my family reunion a couple of weekends ago, and my cousin is a chef he has his own

catering company, and he taught me how to make this excellent dish, it was a huge hit

at the reunion everyone loved it, I love it, time to show you how to do it.

Let's get started.

First let's go ahead and preheat our oven to 400 degrees F. What you do is you take

peaches, you wash them, and cut them in half and take the pits out, I have four peaches

here so it makes eight halves.

And you just cut around the peach, twist it, it comes right off, take the pit out, super

easy.

Okay and you put them on a baking pan.

And now I have a package of prosciutto here.

And what we want to do is we want to take some prosciutto, and we are going to go ahead

and cut this up into little pieces, if you don't have prosciutto, you can certainly use

bacon.

And then you just do probably four or five slices; depending on how many peaches you

are going to do.

If I had double or triple this amount, I would probably use this whole thing of prosciutto.

Let's go ahead and do a couple more, two more pieces.

Alright and once you have the amount that you want, I am going to go ahead and put them

in this little bowl, and then now, lets go ahead and take this over to the skillet,

and we are going to fry this up a little bit, until it gets nice and crisp.

All right I have a skillet on my stovetop I set it to medium heat, I am just going to

drizzle a tiny bit of oil in there, you don't need much, if you are going to use bacon,

you don't need oil at all, so just put a little bit in there, once the pan is nice and hot

let's go ahead and add the prosciutto.

It's not going to take too long to crisp this up, all right so we cook them until they are

about I would say 75% crisp, because they are going to bake in the oven and uh cook

more in there.

But again prosciutto doesn't have to be cooked it is already edible the way it is, we are

just doing this to get a nice little crunch to go along with our soft cheese, and our

peaches.

All right so that is good to go.

All right once we have our prosciutto or bacon nice and fried up, what we are going to do

is we are going to take our peaches and some of our goat cheese, and we are just going

to put some goat cheese on top.

You just kind of take your little block and squeeze it with your fingers, to get some

cheese on there like there.

One of my cousins that lives in North Carolina, she makes homemade goat cheese, a little shout

out to my cousin Tracy.

One of these days, I will have to fly out to North Carolina, and we will do a video

on how to make homemade goat cheese.

Here in the states goat cheese is readily available, I would imagine most supermarkets

have it, it's not the cheapest cheese, this little block that I got was like $3.50.

It is sure yummy.

So and additional or alternative step that you can do, is you can fill up each center

with butter, and then you would just bake your peaches by itself, with the butter without

the cheese yet, that is if you want your cheese to be cold, but I want the cheese to be nice

and warm and a little bit melted, so that is what we are doing.

All right so what you do is you go ahead and take your prosciutto, and you just top it

off on top there, and it will kind of stick to the cheese.

Just put some on just like that.

And now the flavor profile is just amazing.

You got the crunchiness again of the prosciutto, the soft creaminess of the cheese, and then

you got your peach for the sweetness, and then a little bit of honey.

So we are going to go ahead and bake this in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes,

the cheese will melt a little bit, and then it will be ready to go.

All right when they come out of the oven they will look something like this, in this case

my cheese is melted, all right and now all we have to do is top it off with some honey.

I go some clover honey here; I am just going to drizzle a little bit on like that.

There we go, awesome.

All right our roasted goat cheese and prosciutto peaches are done, they turned out amazing,

really easy to do, if I can do it you can do it.

These are great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, whatever the occasion, I am Matt Taylor

How to play "STRANGE WORLD" from Dragon Quest 8(Synthesia) [Piano Video Tutorial] [HD] - Duration: 7:29.

hello there are all you video gaming piano players i'm sydney from

smartgamepiano.com and i'm recovering from a cold so that's why i sound super

awesome right now but I'm still going to teach you guys this song today so we're

going to be learning strange world from Dragon Quest 8 let's start by taking a

lesson

and if you want to learn the rest of the tomb please head over to

smartgamepiano.com and check that out and if you likely here please subscribe

to our YouTube channel today two new videos every week

oh my gosh my voice all right so I have some beginning

we do these arpeggios or these broken chords of an E minor seven chord but

ACCE you're going to play that same spot with the right hand like that so left

hand right hand same pattern an octave higher with your

left hand Gd and then this time play with your

second finger in your right hand then your first and your second then your

third and land on your fifth finger on B

okay and let's just continue with the right hand

C a B G a a a B D G a all the way to G E e F a be e and jump down to me and play

the scale here b c d e cross under with your thumb landing on F G a flat B flat

cross under with your thumb again to land on see a E flat F and land on beat

now in the original this is actually an octave higher but I decided to keep it

down here just to make it a little easier

so you're not stretching all the way up so let's play the entirety of the right

hand counting out let's starting from right here here we go three E and a four

E and a one E and two E and A three E and four and A one and A two E and A

three E and a four E and one E and a two E and A three E and a four E and a one E

and two E and three E and a four E and A three E and a four E and a one E and two

How Chinese parts sneaked into Indian Howitzor - Duration: 3:56.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had last month filed a case into the fraudulent

supply of a Chinese spare — dubbed as made-in-Germany parts — for Dhanush, the indigenous 155mm

artillery gun developed on the lines of the Swedish Bofors.

However, sources said even the original manufacturer, Germany's M/s CRB Antiebstechnick, had asked

that orders for the part be placed through the Indian firm named by it, which supplied

the Chinese part.

The CBI has booked promoters of Delhi-based M/s Sidh Sales Syndicate, and unknown officials

of Gun Carriage Factory (GCF), Jabalpur, where Dhanush is being made.

Information gathered from sources linked to the probe shows that even Germany's M/s CRB

Antiebstechnick, whose brand was embossed on the Chinese spare, insisted that GCF should

only deal through M/s Sidh Sales, rather than coming directly.

GCF had purchased four wire race roller bearings for Dhanush gun in 2013.

The part is basically a metallic plate on which the gun's barrel traverses.

After getting the first batch of four bearings, GCF contacted CRB with a proposal to deal

directly with it, for a subsequent order.

The intention was to reduce the price, bypassing an intermediary.

However, CRB insisted that GCF should only come through Sidh Sales, as it is the German

firm's authorized dealer.

Incidentally, CRB general manager Lizhuao Cai, who deals with overseas business, is

a person of Chinese origin, now having acquired German citizenship.

Responding to a TOI query, Cai said the company has a policy of not responding to foreign

mails.

The complaint against Sidh Sales says the modus operandi was to give a cut of 20% to

the German firm.

In turn, it would just pack and seal the made-in-China item in its name.

At the same time, an internal report accepts that the bearing has performed successfully

on the gun.

In the original Bofors, the bearings were supplied by Rothe Erde, another German company.

The same company bagged an order from GCF in 2012, when the first tender was issued.

However, Rothe Erde could not get the export license from its government on the grounds

that India was not a signatory to an international convention on cluster ammunition.

The deal could not materialize due to this.

Once again global tenders were floated in 2013, in which GCF received three bids.

These included Sweden's BAE System SWS; Precision Machinecraft, Bangalore, and Sidh Sales Syndicate,

against which CBI has registered a case now.

Sidh Sales emerged as the lowest bidder and got the order to supply four bearings.

As work progressed on the gun, GCF issued tenders for 16 more bearings.

Again Sidh Sales was the lowest bidder.

However, this time the price quoted by the firm was much higher than the previous bid.

Hoping to reduce the price, GCF tried to contact CRB for direct business.

The offer was turned down.

Sidh Sales had supplied the first batch of four bearings in 2013, which was also the

year when CRB says it started doing business with the former.

Amid the controversy, GCF has once again tied up with Rothe Erde, the supplier that sold

the bearings for the Swedish Bofors.

The issue of cluster ammunition treaty has been resolved as GCF will be giving an end-use

certificate that Dhanush does not fire cluster bombs.

The deal is expected to be finalized within a fortnight, said sources.
