Monsanto.
Breaking Story.
Dont Let This Go Unshared!
I am frankly shocked this information is not making front page news right now.
Monsanto will do anything to bury this story and as of right now, its working.
Not a single mainstream media outlet has covered this appalling new report that shows millions
of people being poisoned by a chemical that does not belong in our food.
A FDA-registered food safety laboratory tested iconic American food for residues of the weed
killer glyphosate (aka Monsantos Roundup) and found ALARMING amounts.
Just to give you an idea of how outrageous these amounts are, independent research shows
that probable harm to human health begins at really low levels of exposure at only
0.1 ppb of glyphosate.
Many foods were found to have over 1,000 times this amount!
Well above what regulators throughout the world consider safe.
Independent research links glyphosate to cancerand it has been deemed a probable human carcinogen
by the World Health Organizations team of international cancer experts.
The childhood cancer rate is steadily rising and experts say that they dont know why.
Why are they not taking a closer look at these facts?
Research also indicates that glyphosate is an endocrine disruptor, which disrupts hormones
and leads to reproductive problems, early onset puberty, obesity, diabetes, and some
cancers.
When it comes to endocrine disruptors, very small exposures are the most damaging, so
the dose makes the poison mantra does not apply!
Glyphosate is a broad-spectrum antibiotic killing the good bacteria in your gut.
Poor gut health is linked to inflammation and a whole host of diseases.
As GMOs laced with glyphosate are commonly fed to farm animals, this could very well
be contributing to antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Well I know that for truth.
When I was eating only what I grew?
I was healthy as a horse.
After coming back to the States and eating this shat thats called food here?
Im sick all the time, gained weight, feel like crap.
There ya go.
How many of your friends and family have their cabinets filled with these foods?
These people need to know this information.
I cant post the whole article per T&C but I would really suggest you all go read it
and pass it on.
Were being killed by what we eat and they just smile and pocket the money and go right
on watching us shove it down our fat pie holes begging for more.
(Not to insult anyone its th eopinion I believe THEY have, not me Well kinda
me also).
peace

four o'clock in the morning I wake up 4:30 4:45 I'm doing some sort of cardio
open these garage doors it's still dark outside I do this and then I'll have
breakfast and then I will go do all my strength and conditioning training at a
gym for about an hour and then I'll go to seg we are every probably about five
hours of sleep it's 4:45 a.m. it's still dark outside look at that lights just
went out and I'm getting ready to kill this AM cardio you can't even see me but
it's gonna be so good it's bad
you'd do anything you never want to do anything half-ass especially when it
comes to your training get in the intense execute on it and then get out
for a lot of guys out there and I was certainly one of those guys in my 20s I
thought I had all the answers didn't know shit by the way in my 30s I'm still
trying to find myself and a lot of guys are out there hopefully when you hit the
40's you're hitting a nice stride I'm gonna do it they need to do this job
right I need to stay focused on it I need to get the best offer that possibly
can we live down here in South Florida hurricane season
but it's time to go to the gym we got to get to the gym and there ain't no
stopping us like I'm gonna be the baddest motherfucker walking all right
empty gym the way we'd like it it's Sunday just finished my warmup this pain
ought to be fun I worked out twice before everyone wakes
up all right workout number two I'm out working all my competition all right
Saturday afternoon empty gym the way we like it
it's leg day which means it's gonna be sweaty painful and fun a
close-mindedness that amounts to an imprisonment so total that the person
who doesn't even know he's locked up
the most powerful tool that you have right now in your life in your body is
your mind
give me a new perspective give me a new way and I'm looking at my situation give
me a new way and looking at my circumstances get my mind ready for this
year
you can't please everybody but they're people who have the fear of rocking the
boat oh yes it's gonna be some struggles it's gonna be some challenges it's gonna
be some tests but even the struggles are an opportunity for me to show off the
victory if my mind can handle the change
the life is too short for that too short and unpredictable moseying through not
trying to disturb anything not trying to shake anything up not trying to make any
waves unless yoga I'm never going to be I can't get any younger I can't roll the
clock back
you are wasting time you Pasco and step open to the future
when you set goals when you have an intention on something that you want to
change about your life your brain helps you what it does is it opens up a
checklist and then your brain goes to work trying to remind you it was cold it
was winter in Boston and for the first time in three months I had beaten my
habit of hitting the snooze button
and it's really important to develop the skill before you are boxed and buried
decide that you're gonna box and bury your fears decide that you're going to
begin to live life on a new level seeking out new horizons that you're
gonna find more love and more joy and more ways to give I wanted to change my
life and I think most people that are miserable or that are that are really
like dying to be great and dying to have work we want to change we want to live a
better life we want to create more for our families we want to be happy the the
designer is there again it's about how do you go from knowledge to action
so the first thing in the story that's important is realizing that the answer
was in me and my mind was telling me pay attention
so when you begin to say what is it that I want to leave what contribution that I
want to begin to make what difference do I want to make in life what is it that I
want to do with the rest of the life that I have left what what chances I
need to take what risks do I need to begin to embrace what fears do I need to
step on what areas of my life of my dad right now what dream you can even live
your dreams or live your fears you have got to get to a point where you say I'm
sick and tired of living like this has got to be more let's see that's when
people go out and strike out on their dreams how you going to make it I don't
know but I will I'm gonna keep on kicking I'm gonna cut them off is
I'm never going to give up the beats a game this is RHIB this is real life
champ work on you get what you gotta keep you don't work hard you get naughty
you get nothing you gotta work head
you will on get what you gotta get you don't work hard
nothing you don't get enough not zero nothing zero nuts
keep whoops work on Luger what you gotta get
come on why I'm going to fight I'm going to work I'm going to press forward I'm
going to learn I'm going to do everything in my power every single day
I'm going to do everything in my power to become a Victor and not a victim of
let's go champ let's go champ pain is temporary it may
last for a minute or an hour or a day or even a year but eventually it will
subside and something else will take its place if I quit however it will last
forever you want to get better you want to self-improve stop looking for a
shortcut and go find your alarm clock and find your discipline and fling it
your guts and your passion and your drive and find it you will and then
and then you will find your freedom
if you're afraid of heights work on some rock climbing climbing if you're afraid
of the water the time to swim it's time to surf it's time to get out there if
you're afraid of pull-ups if if you're prey to pulp do polls if you're in
squats do squats if you're afraid of public speaking go speak in public if
you're afraid to start a business start a business
and eventually you will overcome that fear but the hard part is
take that first step you've got to take that first step
got to take that first step against the fear against the fear of the thing
if you die today what dreams what ideas what books what
leadership what voice what story will die with you
of the dreams the ideas the abilities the talents given to you by life but you
for whatever reason you never pursued those dreams you never use those talents
you never use those gifts you never use those abilities and there they are
standing around your bed looking at you but large angry eyes saying we came to
you only you could have given us life and now we must die with you forever and
the question is if you died today what dreams what ideas what books what
leadership what voice what story will die with you I said empty your mind
deforms shapeless like water now you put water into a cup it becomes the cup you
put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle you're putting the teapot it
becomes the teapot now water can flow or it can crash be water my friend
let's suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream you wanted to
dream and that you could for example have the power within one night to dream
seventy five years of time or any length of time you wanted to have and you would
naturally as you began on this adventure of Dreams you would fulfill all your
wishes you would have every kind of pleasure you can see and after several
nights of seventy five years of total pleasure each you would say where how I
was pretty good
let's have a dream which isn't under control
well something is going to happen to me that I don't know what its gonna be and
you would dig that and come out of that and say wow that was a close shave
wasn't it then you would get more and more adventurous and you would make
further and further out Gamble's as to what you would dream
and finally you would dream where you are now you would dream the dream of
living the life that you are actually living today that would be within the
infinite multiplicity of choices you would have we're here on chance and
we're
the nature of love is self-abandonment not clinging to oneself throwing
yourself out that keeps things moving that's the
nature of life so in this idea then everybody is
fundamentally the ultimate reality not God in a politically kingly sense but
God in the sense of being the self the deep down basic whatever there is and
you're all that only you're pretending you know
you would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today
people want to know how to stop the laziness they will know how to stop the
procrastination and you know they have some idea in their head you know some
kind of a vision what they want to do but they don't know where to start in
order to start it you know they don't know where to start and say they say hey
where do I start and and when's the best time to start
and I have a very simple as your friend here and now that's it you want to
improve you want to get better you want to get on a workout program or a clean
diet you want to start a business you want to write a book or make a movie or
build a house or a computer or put together some mobile application where
do you start
you start reading it and when do you start you start right now I had beaten
my habit of hitting the snooze button I couldn't believe it and I thought wait
a minute counting backward citizen dumbest thing I've ever heard in my
entire life well the next morning I used to get in
at work the next morning I used it again and a fourth the next morning I used it
again and it worked and then I started to notice something really interesting
there were moments all day long all day long just like that five-second moment
in bed where I knew knowledge what I should do and if I didn't move within 5
seconds my brain would step in and talk me out
of it every human being has a five-second window might even be shorter
for you you have about a five-second window in which you can move from idea
to action before your brain kicks into full gear and sabotages any change in
behavior because remember your brain is wired to stop you from doing things that
are uncomfortable or uncertain or scary it's your job to learn how to move from
those ideas that could change everything into acting on look for the job that you
would take if you didn't need a job
don't sleepwalk through life and don't don't say it's all gonna be great you
know I'll do this and I'll do that and you know I'm just marking time does it
to be over
you really want to be doing what you love doing and you can't necessarily
find it on your first job given all the opportunities that are there in in the
world to try and figure out the thing that actually makes you want to get up
in the morning the thing that you actually love I feel this thing that
should exist and you take that leap of faith that it may work I would still go
home from whatever that day job is and I would try to do it because I love it not
because I really want to make a certain amount of money figure out the thing
that makes you tick find that thing that young people feel like if they don't
know what they're born to do that there's somehow broken and I think that
it needs to be looked at differently which is that it means if you don't know
that thing it means that every door is there's the possibility and if you can
find that thing and deal with the pressure of maybe not making the amount
of money that you would like to yet we're not getting to the company you'd
like to get or not having success with your startup yet these are all things
that I think you can swallow if the thing you're doing speaks to you it's
that constant pursuit of the unobtainable which is kind of magic
really to approach something with a kind of
excitement that is shared in this weird way where you just know it makes you
happy it'll say I'm working on this thing but I don't know if Ian's gonna
like it feel sort of like this boring thing that I love you know and it's
amazing how often that boring thing that you love becomes a sensation I think the
key is to do that I would say don't stress yourself out your voice is as
important as anyone elses
so it's a lot easier to actually write a screenplay than you think it is might
not be good but most people talk about writing screenplays but don't actually
write them the people who write them you're already like in you know the top
10% because you actually have written it I have the same work like someone's
trying to take it all away from you you actually work like no one's spending 24
hours working 24 hours to take it all away from you when sometimes people
don't have the determination the will and the steadfastness the tenacity
they are they giving them the slightest struggle
really viewed myself as particularly talented view myself as you know
slightly above average in talent and where I excel is ridiculous sickening
work ethic you know while the other guys sleeping I'm working and a lot of other
guys eaten I'm working you know hard work pace I put in a hell of a woman
purple Paisley I'm sitting at the top I I poured it all on the line I show up I
perform and I get the results from that and discipline doing it - hey take it
but do it like you love it you know always testing yourself forcing yourself
to the limit do you have to have some ability
but then it's just how much will I really do think there's just a thing
people underestimate it doesn't sound sexy
it doesn't sound cool how much no one work ethic you know and just how badly
do you want
that's what I'm success in general all about sacrifice for my experience every
damn person who said I wouldn't be anything I'm crushing them every day
not only so the question is how much have you always
don't know who you are I don't know what you're going through I'm not here to
pretend that you know I understand what you're going through or how you feel in
your life I think the biggest disability that we have as human beings is unbelief
everything starts with a vision and a man without vision dies
hate the idea of potential being wasted in this world you know how it is if you
didn't go what you've gone through you wouldn't be who you are today
is it as I kept trying new things new doors kept opening because you don't
know what your future is you just don't
you'll never know what's gonna happen you never know what what the future
holds for you go for it try it because another thing I am no different than
anyone else out there I am NOT here to say I have a superpower and it was all
this it was just trying go home let's see
what happened
patience let's say don't complain when you're waiting in a line you ain't going
to growing patience until you put in a place to wait
there there are some times where you're going to wish that you could rewind and
and do things all over again there are times where you just wish you could
forget memories and you try to drown those memories in alcohol or different
pleasures and maybe get distracted by the goals and ambitions of your life and
try to put the past behind and move forward
you should wake up worried terrified every morning but don't be worried about
our competitors because they're never gonna send us any money anyway let's be
worried about our customers and stay heads down focused one of my jobs as the
leader of Amazon is to encourage people to be bold and people love to focus on
things that aren't yet working and that's good it's human nature that kind
of divine discontent can be very helpful but you really you know it's incredibly
hard to get people to take bold bets and you need to encourage that and if you're
gonna take bold bets they're gonna be experiments and if they're experiments
you don't know ahead of time though they're gonna work experiments are by
their very nature prone to failure but big success is a few big successes
compensate for dozens and dozens of things that didn't work
I've made billions of dollars of failures at amazon.com literally
billions of dollars of failures
because we know from our past experiences that big things start small
the biggest oak starts from an acorn and you've got a record to do anything new
you've got to be willing to let that acorn grow into a little sapling and
then finally into a small tree it made me one day it'll be a big business on
its own the Amazon started as a very small company it was me and a few other
people I was driving all the packages to the post office myself in my 1987 Chevy
Blazer you can't skip steps you have to put one foot in front of the other
things take time if there are no shortcuts and but but
you want to do those steps with you know passion and ferocity
it's easy to have ideas it's very hard to turn an idea into a successful
product there are a lot of steps in between it takes persistence
relentlessness
it's a stress primarily comes from not taking action over something that you
can have some control
do something you're very passionate about I wanted to project myself forward
to age 80 it's okay now I'm looking back on my life I want to have minimized the
number of regrets I have and you know what I knew that when I was 80 I was not
going to regret and having tried this I was not gonna regret having wanted you
know trying to participate in this thing called the Internet that I thought was
gonna be a really big deal I knew that if I failed
I wouldn't regret that

Retired agent Jeff Danik says FBI won't respond to his FOIA on Deputy Director McCabe - Duration: 1:55.
Retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jeff Danik, who was a supervisor in the FBI's
counter-terrorism division, says he's now leading a fight to get documents to aide
FBI whistleblowers that accuse some FBI brass of bureaucratic corruption.
There's a lot of agents out there that think people committed crimes, did things wrong,
you don't talk about it. You have to internalize that because it's not fair to the person.
Either you climb in the ring with your evidence and fight 'em out in court or you keep your mouth shut.
Danik filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
request for all communications involving Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and the Hillary Clinton investigation.
McCabe is currently under three federal inquiries.
The FBI denied Danik's FOIA but in June the Justice Department ordered the FBI to turn over the documents.
I don't know if they don't want those records
out because it pulls back the curtain and lets you see the framework of these investigations
or maybe they are afraid of what it actually says and who it reflects on.
Danik says the FBI has stonewalled and did not follow DOJ orders so he turned to Judicial Watch,
a conservative watchdog group to file a lawsuit.
There were other investigations going on into
Mrs. Clinton's conduct as it relates to the foundation that were similarly suppressed
and we want to know, through access to Mr. McCabe's documents, whether there's information
on how that was done and who was behind it.
Judicial Watch says without the lawsuits, the nation would be left in the dark.
I think you've got many FBI agents outraged about what went on.
They see the leadership as being corrupted and politicized.
They see the reputation of the FBI being dragged through the mud.
Danik and Fitton said they hope to obtain the McCabe documents by the end of the year.

Baguio City - Super Rainy, Didn't Really Get to Vlog, Sorry! =( - Duration: 18:13.
Good evening.
I'm on my way to the airport.
I'm in Davao now
and I'll be flying to Manila
to do some solo travelling for 10 days.
It's now 10 PM.
The date today is 19 May 2017.
Thank you.
Photo finish.
I made it to my flight.
I got here 10:30 PM
and my flight is at 11 PM.
We're now airborne.
Plane took off at 11:15 PM.
There's some turbulence.
Heehee!
See you in NAIA.
We just landed in Manila.
Time is 12:45 AM.
So the flight took an hour and a half.
So it's now the 20th of May, Saturday.
So I'm in the terminal 4 of
Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Last time I was here in Manila
was 2013
so I'm kind of surprised
because the airport looks new.
Looks sleek and welcoming.
And doesn't smell of piss.
Heeheehee!
Welcome to Manila.
Now I'm going to the Pasay City terminal
of Victory Liner
because I'll head straight to Baguio City.
I'm now at the Pasay terminal
of Victory Liner.
I need to get a ticket.
I was told there are tons of Baguio-bound passengers.
We'll see.
The next trip to Baguio is at 8 AM.
I think it's just 1 AM now.
If I decide to take Victory Liner
I'll need to wait 7 hours.
As soon as a I got into the bus terminal
someone approached me and offered
a van ride for Php800 to Baguio.
I'll check my options first.
Will check in with you later.
Let me think what to do first.
So I decided to stay.
I'll try my luck as chance passenger.
Been waiting for an hour and a half
since I got here at 1:30 AM.
I'm third in line of chance passengers.
I'm hoping the next bus
which is at 3 AM
that I'll get a ride on that bus.
I could have gotten the 2 AM bus
but all the remaining seats were aisle seats.
The travel time is too long
6 hours
to tough it out.
Heehee.
Nope.
So I'll just wait for the next trip.
I got on the 3 AM trip.
Our bus is leaving now.
ETA in Baguio City is 9 AM.
Fare from Pasay City to Baguio City is Php455.
For passengers that don't have too much luggage
if ever there are Victory buses that pass by with unfilled seats
I can transfer to said buses.
The bus from Baguio we had dispatched to pick us up will get here in 2 hours.
Again, we sincerely apologize.
For those who like to get coffee or food
there's a store nearby.
Good morning.
We're in Urdaneta, Pangasinan.
It's 7:20 in the morning.
We've pulled over along the highway.
Our bus broke down.
Since it's a Saturday
the 20th of May
it's not that easy to have a bus dispatched
to pick us all up
especially since our bus is full.
So what'll happen is
another Victory Liner bus will be dispatched
and it'll come from Baguio
and that'll take at least 2 hours.
You can take on one more passenger?
Yes.
Sir, you want to take this?
What happened?
What happened?
Gearshift is stuck, sir.
Did you send for a mechanic?
Yes, we called the office.
Let's get your luggage, sir.
This bus has one unfilled seat.
This passenger has, I think, a ton of luggage.
Yup, I was right.
Heehee.
I spoke with our driver.
He said the gearshift's stuck.
Bus broke down at 7 AM
and it's now 8:15 AM.
Another bus that was dispatched from Sison, Pangasinan
will get here in 25 minutes.
So that's an hour and 45 minutes of waiting.
Sison's nearer than Baguio
but the time difference isn't really much.
Anyway, nice kick-off to my 10-day solo trip.
Haha.
I can feel fatigue setting in.
I've officially been awake for 24 hours now.
I didn't get much rest yesterday afternoon
because my kids requested that we go swimming
so we took them swimming.
We were at the public pool until evening.
I didn't get to sleep while on the plane, too.
And I didn't get to sleep the entire
4-hour bus ride from Manila up to here in Pangasinan.
They said the bus that'll pick us up will be here in 25 minutes
but it hasn't arrived.
Okay, didn't get here in 25 minutes, 30 minutes.
It's here.
There's a bike race.
Heavy traffic.
We're now in Marcos Highway, Baguio City.
I'm not used to such heavy traffic in Baguio.
ETA from Pangasinan to Baguio is 11 AM
but it's nearly noon.
It's now 4 minutes to 12 noon.
We're now here at the PNR bus terminal of
Victory Liner.
The first thing I'll do is look for something to eat
and I badly need to have some coffee, too
because I feel like I'm going to crash from lack of sleep.
Right across the PNR Victory Liner bus terminal
is a terminal of Baguio-PNR route jeepneys.
I took said jeepney route to get here to Session Road.
My plan now is to go to La Azotea.
During lunch time
there are stalls that sell affordable meals at the second floor.
The jeepney fare earlier
from PNR Victory Liner bus terminal
up to here in Session Road
was Php8.50.
I'm now at the second floor of La Azotea
and only one stall is open
or, sorry, there are two food stalls open.
Maybe because it's Saturday.
I'm not sure.
So rice, chopsuey, lechon paksiw and soup.
Everything's for Php50.
I'm now here at Teachers' Camp.
This is where I will stay for the night.
I'm heading to the room now.
Room's here at Pages Hall.
This is my room.
Oh.
I can stay here, alone, for a year!
Haha.
I'll try to get some rest.
Maybe sleep for two hours.
When I was walking to get here to Pages Hall
from the Teachers' Camp admin building
I couldn't think of anything else but sleep.
I'll show you the room later.
See you when I wake up.
It's now 5:30 and there's still light.
I'm going out.
Heehee.
I didn't really sleep well.
You know how it is when you're asleep
but somehow still aware of what's happening around you?
That's how it felt.
Good afternoon.
It's nearly 6 PM.
I'm surprised there's still light.
I don't think I'll be able to do much filming tonight
because my GoPro doesn't really function well in low light.
The only reason I'm heading downtown
is because there are no cafeterias here in Teachers' Camp.
So since I spent the whole day
when I got here
heehee
resting
I won't have much time to film if I only stay here
up to tomorrow evening.
So I'll stay one more night.
But tomorrow I'll need to check out by noon
because Teachers' Camp is actually fully booked
but was fortunate enough to get a room.
But by tomorrow
there'll be teachers arriving
I don't know from where
but, yes, there'll be quite a number of them tomorrow.
The room I'm occupying now has been reserved for that.
So tomorrow I'll check out by noon
and find another place to stay at
for tomorrow night.
So...
This is Teachers' Camp.
This is where I usually stay when I'm here in Baguio.
Either that or at a friend's house.
I like it here because rates are affordable.
I used to come to Baguio weekly
and this is by far the cheapest place to stay at.
Of course, dorm room accommodations
share communal restroom.
I'm mostly exploring the city whenever I'm here
so such an arrangement isn't really an issue for me.
Another place I stay at
if I want really affordable accommodations
is at Girl Scouts of the Philippines.
Oops.
Heehee!
There's no footpath here.
I hope I don't get sideswiped by a car.
Maybe this is it for today.
I'll go to Session Road to look for something to eat.
I'm craving hot soup
or rice porridge with pork
Haha.
or plain rice porridge with fried tofu on the side.
One advantage of staying at Teachers' Camp
is accessibility to public transport.
Right outside the gate are jeepneys heading downtown.
I'm walking back to Pages Hall.
You saw the winged ants circling the lamppost?
I didn't film at all tonight.
Just spent the night observing and watching people.
I came from the Harrison Road night market.
Just some observations.
Quite surprised by the heavy traffic.
Haha.
I'm not used to it.
And there are tons of people in Harrison.
Until now it's still bustling and it's already 12 midnight.
Quite different from the Baguio of my youth.
Quite different from the Baguio I grew up in.
You know what I mean?
Heeheehee.
The environment on the road is a far cry from
how it is here in Teachers' Camp.
It's very peaceful here inside Teachers' Camp.
Heeheehee.
Okay, I'm now in Pages Hall.
I'll show you my room and the restroom tomorrow.
Good morning.
It's nearly 12 noon.
I'm packing up because I need to check out.
Today is the 21st of May 2017.
I'll just show you the room real quick.
There are four power sockets.
Then two beds
a table
a cabinet
then two plastic chairs.
So since I'm the only occupant
I had to pay for two.
Per head is Php209
so had to pay Php418.
Check-in is at 2 PM
and then check-out is 12 noon the next day.
I'll show you the female restroom.
The first two cubicles are the toilets
and the last two are the shower area
You'll have to scoop water from the tanks.
They put a portable water heater in that blue tank
which they'll plug into that power socket.
So you get a pail and scoop water from the tanks if you want to take a shower.
So I suppose that's how it is in the men's restroom, too.
I'm heading out now.
Haha.
It's drizzling.
Not sure if I'd be able to get footage.
Looks like I won't be able to show you
the downtown area if this weather continues.
We'll see.
As its name says
this facility is for Department of Education teachers
but they do accept non-DepEd and tourists
but of course at a slightly higher rate.
For instance, the room I occupied
DepEd rate for that is Php198 per person.
So non-DepEd rate is more expensive by P11
specifically for that room I took.
Aside from affordable rates
big families prefer to stay here
because you can rent entire houses here
with their own bathroom and kitchen.
For dorm type accomodations like the one I availed of
you'll need to bring your own toiletries.
They'll only provide you with a blanket and a pillow.
So some rules to note.
Camping is not allowed.
Campfire isn't allowed as well.
So campfire cooking and bonfires aren't allowed here.
And then as I was informed yesterday
by the personnel in-charge of Pages Hall
there's really no strict curfew
but of course as a courtesy
in case you come back in the wee hours
and the other guests are already resting
of course, you have to observe silence
especially since the buildings still have wood flooring
so it's really quite audible when someone's walking.
Ahh...
=)
According to online sources
Teachers' Camp is notorious for ghost sightings.
I've stayed here numerous times
I've not experienced anything spooky.
I'm not scared of ghosts
=)
so it's not really an issue for me.
Good afternoon.
It's 1:00 in the afternoon.
I'm at La Azotea again.
Didn't get any footage on my way here.
Been drizzling nonstop.
And the sky's overcast.
I'm quite surprised because back in high school...
Oh, this is where I studied high school.
I studied elementary school in Manila
then studied high school here in Baguio.
Back in high school
the people you see walking along Session Road in the morning
are the same people you'll see at lunch time and after-school.
So that's how, if you know what I mean
like almost familiar
and you readily recognize people's faces
because Baguio is sort of a close-knit community.
Now there are lots of people, from students to tourists.
It's worth noting that Baguio City
is considered as northern Luzon's university belt.
That's why students from other areas make up a majority of the population.
I'm still at the La Azotea building
here in Upper Session Road.
Waiting for the rain to stop.
But since 1 PM, it started drizzling
but it ended up raining real hard.
So I think I'm just going to end the Baguio vlog here.
I sincerely apologize
that I didn't get anything of value for this Baguio vlog
because the weather's not been conducive
to check out places of interest.
It's quite chilly and I don't want to get wet
because later tonight I'll be travelling again.
I don't want to sit inside a bus for more than six hours
all wet and soaked.
I was supposed to make a feature on Baguio Public Market
and was set to go to Camp John Hay's white trail
and also make a feature on the night market here
then their street food scene as well.
I sincerely apologize this is all I can come up with for my Baguio vlog.
But thank you so much for watching.
=)
Thank you so much.

Test Anxiety: Crash Course Study Skills #8 - Duration: 8:50.
Hi, I'm Thomas Frank, and this is Crash Course Study Skills.
Henry Fonda was a famous actor with a career that spanned 54 years and included starring roles in classic movies like 12 Angry Men and Once Upon a Time in the West.
He was one of the most well-known and successful actors of his time, bringing home an Oscar, two Golden Globes, and even a Grammy before retiring.
So it might surprise you to learn that Fonda had a lifelong struggle with performance anxiety.
In fact, even when he was 75 years old, with over half a century of acting experience under his belt, he would often throw up before beginning stage performances.
But, despite his anxiety and sudden lack of lunch, Fonda would still step out from behind the curtain and give the audience the great performance they expected.
That's because he understood one of the unavoidable facts of life – a fact that the author Steven Pressfield put so well in his book The War of Art:
"Fear doesn't go away.
The warrior and the artist live by the same code of necessity, which dictates that the battle must be fought anew every day."
If you're a student, you might not be performing on a stage or facing down an enemy army,
but your tests and exams are battles all their own, and they often come with the same feelings of anxiety.
These feelings are normal, and you'll never truly banish them.
If you're doing work that's important to you, you'll always feel some amount of anxiety.
And that can actually be a good thing, because anxiety is an indicator that what you're doing IS important.
Otherwise, you'd be apathetic about it.
However, too much test anxiety can hurt you.
Research has shown that high-pressure situations can actually deplete your working memory.
Additionally, stress caused by anxiety produces a hormone called cortisol,
and too much cortisol can hinder the ability of the hippocampus to recall memories.
This means that it is crucial to learn how to manage your test anxiety.
You have to learn how to perform well in the face of it, and make sure it doesn't consume
your thoughts so you can actually solve that geometry proof that's staring you in the face.
Fortunately, there are several techniques and mental exercises you can use to do that.
Roll the intro!
[Theme Music]
Test anxiety is caused by many different factors, but today we're going to focus on the most common ones, which I call the Three Big Fears:
Number one: A fear of repeating past failures
Number two: The fear of the unknown
Number three: The fear of the stakes
Now, in a minute, we're going to dig into each of these fears and work to figure out how you can combat them,
but before we do that, there is one general purpose strategy I want to share with you.
The next time you feel anxious going into a test, take out a piece of paper and spend a couple minutes writing out exactly what's causing you to feel that way.
This has been scientifically proven to reduce test anxiety.
A study done at the University of Chicago found that students who were given 10 minutes to write about their fears and anxieties before a test
improved their scores by an average of nearly one grade point compared to the control group.
This technique works for pretty much the same reason that using a to-do list works:
It allows you to take all those worries out of your head and store them somewhere safe.
You've probably been in a situation before where you're stressed, and a friend tells you, "Hey, just don't worry about it, man!"
Of course, you can't – right?
You can't just let go of the things that are worrying you – after all, your brain thinks they're important.
However, by writing them down, you're unloading those worries into an external system that you trust.
Subconsciously, you know that they're not going anywhere.
And by doing this, you free up mental resources that you can then devote to doing well on the test.
So that brings us to our first big fear: the fear of repeating past failures.
Logically, everyone knows that failure is inevitable every once in awhile.
"To err is human," wrote Alexander Pope, and the realm of calculus finals is no exception.
But we're not always logical.
In fact, human beings have an inherent negativity bias –
a tendency to remember and give more emotional weight to negative events rather than positive ones.
This is a feature of the brain that's pretty useful when it comes to survival –
after all, remembering which mushrooms made you sick or not to try to shake hands with a tiger is pretty important for survival.
But the negativity bias doesn't limit itself to poisonous mushrooms or tigers;
any negative event can create feelings of apprehension and fear when it comes up again.
So even though almost everyone does poorly on tests and exams at least once in awhile,
when it happens to you, you might naturally fear that it'll happen again the next time around.
So how you do you actually beat this negativity bias?
Well, first, realize that you're not defined by your past successes or failures –
despite what that insidious part of your brain might try to tell you.
While the path you're on right now is certainly in part a product of your past choices, it's not a path with a predetermined destination.
At any time, you can choose to do things differently than you did in the past.
If you're ready to do that, you need to start by analyzing your past mistakes and gathering as much information about them as you can.
After all, you can only improve if you know what you were doing wrong before.
Let's go to the Thought Bubble.
Elite chess players understand this concept really well.
While they spend a lot of their practice time playing games and studying the openings and endgames of players at higher ranks,
they also dedicate a ton of time to analyzing their own past games – especially the ones they lost.
By doing so, they can start to correct bad habits and uncover patterns in their playing, which can then be tweaked or improved in the future.
So take a cue from these chess players – as well as from elite performers in pretty much any other discipline, be it opera singers or figure skaters –
and review your past exams to see how you can improve.
Start by getting your hands on a copy of your past exam;
if your teacher doesn't usually hand these out or let you take them home, talk to them after class and ask if you can at least look it over.
And while you're talking with them, also ask for feedback –
especially if your exam contained short-answer or essay questions where there's no concrete answer.
Once you've got a past exam in your hands, review the mistakes you made.
Don't just acknowledge your mistakes; for each incorrect question, make sure you understand why your answer was the wrong one.
If it was a complex problem – like a math equation – identify the exact point where you made a mistake.
Additionally, make sure you know what the right answer was, and why it was right.
Before you move on, cross-reference the question with your notes, as well.
If you're going to be tested on that question again – like in a final exam – highlight that section of your notes so you know it's important.
You can also create quiz questions for later review.
Overall, shoot for mastery over the material so you don't make the same mistake again.
Thanks, Thought Bubble.
The details of those incorrect questions aren't the only things that deserve reflection.
You also need to figure out why you made the mistakes in the first place.
Ask yourself: Was I unprepared?
And if so, why was I unprepared?
Did I simply not put enough time into reviewing?
Did I ignore the study guide?
Or did I use an ineffective study method?
If you feel that you were prepared, then maybe something went wrong during the actual exam.
Maybe you rushed through and made a lot of careless errors.
Or maybe you let time get away from you and didn't actually finish the whole exam.
Or maybe that creepy AI from Ghost in the Shell hacked your brain in the middle of the exam and forced you to spend the whole time licking your paper.
These things happen.
Whatever the reason was, don't let it get you down too much.
Remember that failure is a great teacher – and it's a better one than success.
Since we remember our failures so well, every one of them is a lesson and an opportunity.
But you need to make sure that you use that opportunity by making a plan for how you'll avoid the mistake in the future.
Just saying "I'll do better next time" isn't enough – you need to know exactly how you're gonna do better.
And that's not all you need to know.
In fact, the more you can learn about your exam in all its facets, the more comfortable you're gonna be.
This is the way to overcome the second of our big fears: The Fear of the Unknown.
People naturally fear what they don't understand, and in general, this is a good thing!
It's another one of those pieces of brain programming that's useful for survival, and most other animals share it with us.
When I visited New York City for the first time several years ago,
I noticed that the squirrels there seemed much less afraid of people than the squirrels back home in Iowa
– but that was because these big-city squirrels had a lot of experience dealing with people, and it was mostly positive.
So try to gain as much experience with the upcoming exam as you can.
Now, we talked a lot about how to do this in the last video on preparing for tests,
but the general principle is to try to replicate the test conditions when you're studying.
Do your best to get access to practice tests and study guides, and create quizzes out of your notes to fill in the gaps.
Additionally, spend some time studying in a classroom that looks and feels similar to the one you'll be tested in,
and quiz yourself under the same time constraints that you'll face during the exam.
You want to make the test feel like a familiar old friend when you actually face it.
As Scott Berkun, a professional public speaker, put it:
"By the time I present to an actual audience, it's not really the first time at all."
That's the feeling you're going for.
And that brings us to the last of our big three fears, which is the Fear of the Stakes.
One of the biggest sources of test anxiety is the feeling that this test means everything
– it's gonna define your overall grade, where you'll be able to go to college, and whether or not you'll get to work for Elon Musk some day.
But in reality, you're rarely going to come across a test or situation that you can't recover from in the case that things go wrong.
Trust me – I actually failed a test in college once.
And Nick over there actually failed an entire class – twice.
And, even worse, I was once fired from a job.
In both cases it was totally my fault, but I learned my lessons, I made sure I never made the same mistakes again, and I moved on.
And even if things don't go perfectly for you, you'll be able to do the same thing.
If that's not comforting enough, try reframing the test in your mind.
Think of it as yet another learning opportunity rather than as a judgement.
After all, a test challenges you to recall what you've learned, and as we've already discussed,
active recall strengthens your mastery over the material.
And – at least for me – viewing a test this way makes it seem a lot less scary.
Lastly, keep in your mind that anxiety isn't something you always need to try to deal with on your own.
If you have anxiety that's majorly affecting your life, don't hesitate to ask a professional for help.
Hopefully you found this week's video to be helpful.
Next week, we'll be switching gears and talking about how to write great research papers and essays.
See you then!
