Micasa Will Hold Concert to Help Victims of Benue Flood and Sierra Leone Mudslides | Pulse TV News - Duration: 1:12.

Micasa, South African band, is planning a concert for victims of Benue flood in Nigeria

and Sierra Leone mudslides.

Micasa revealed this in a tweet which read: "We will be hosting a concert wth industry

friends to raise funds for Sierra Leone and Nigeria ... details to be announce soon!

#WeAreFamilia"

Micasa's free concert will be done in aid of victims of the Sierra Leone mudslide victims,

and Nigerian flood victims from Benue State.

All funds raised will go towards helping the people of Sierra Leone and Nigeria.

Flood ravaged communities in Benue state last week, where villages, farmlands and food storage

facilities were washed away and many displaced.

The Benue flood submerged two major bridges on River Guma at Tor Kpande, and Mande Ortom.

Some 11 bridges and culverts were submerged by Benue flood, while the worst hit communities

included Tse-Adorogo, Tse-Igba, Tse-Akor, Tse-Terzar, Tse-Abi, Tor Kpande and some villages

on the stretch between Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi

and Gbajimba, the local government council headquarters.

Two camps have already been opened in Makurdi for victims of Benue flood to ensure that

the displaced persons have shelter and receive assistance as chairmen of the 23 local government

areas were directed to use some primary schools as designated camps for affected Benue flood

victims in their areas.

More than 1000 people have died from the mudslide and flood that hit Sierra Leone's capital

nearly two weeks ago.

Aid groups are delivering supplies and helping provide clean water to prevent a health crisis.

My name is Rikki Carman and I do Parkour in Volta.

Parkour is normally sort of a solo sport,

so it's crazy having nine people in such a small space.

We come up with an idea and we just try it

and then we scrap it and then we'll try a new idea

and we just find things that work.

We've had so many iterations because there's so many possibilities.

I've never seen a stage like this before.

It's like lifts going up and down,

a bridge and everything.

Those are all features that you never really would experience

being a free runner in the city.

We can be super creative

and we can approach the same obstacle in a different way.

It's just an amazing opportunity to grow.
