(phone ringing)

- Hi, it's Doug.

Have you ever been walking, like in a park or a forest,

and you found something that really got your attention?

Well, that happened to me recently.

I was in a forest, and I found this.

It's a pine cone,

but I'd never seen a pine cone like this before.

I was so curious, I had all kinds of questions.

So I came home and I got out some

of my books that I have about trees.

These books were written by scientists

who study things like pine trees.

Now, sometimes when I have a question,

I find out that nobody knows the answer,

and that's always exciting, too.

But a lot of times,

there are answers to things that I'm curious about.

And it's scientists who figured them out.

Someone named Barina has a question about scientists.

Let's give her a call now.

(phone ringing)

- Hi, Doug.

- Hi, Barina.

- I have a question for you.

How do scientists know so much?

- That's a great question.

To answer this question, it might be helpful to think

about what scientists do when they work.

Let me tell you a story about two scientists

whose discoveries changed the way

people think about the world.

You see this thing right here?

You might know what it is.

It's a telescope.

And you know what a telescope is used for,

to look up at the night sky.

But it wasn't always used for that.

In fact, when the telescope was first invented,

one of the main ways people would use it

was to watch for enemy ships coming from far away.

No one had thought to point a telescope up at the sky.

No one, until this person.

This was Galileo.

He was a scientist.

Galileo was curious, and we wondered what he might see

if he pointed the telescope up at the sky.

One of the first things he decided to look at was the moon.

Night after night, he looked at the moon

through his telescope.

He wrote notes, and he made drawings of what he saw.

He was amazed by all the details that he noticed.

You see, before Galileo, most people thought

that the moon was this round, perfectly smooth ball.

More like a beautiful nightlight,

rather than some actual place.

But by carefully looking at the moon,

Galileo noticed lots of pointy bumps and shadows.

He compared his drawings to things

that he noticed here on Earth,

and he realized what he was seeing on the moon

were mountains, valleys, and hills.

The moon wasn't some perfectly smooth light;

it was an actual place with mountains and hills,

just like the Earth.

Galileo realized, maybe we could even

go walk around on the moon someday.

Galileo gave us new ideas

about what the moon was really like.

Now, here's another famous scientist.

Her name was Mary Anning.

She's known for being one of the greatest fossil hunters

in all of history.

Mary spent almost every day of her life,

ever since she was a young girl,

searching along the beach for interesting fossils.

One day, there was a landslide.

A huge piece of the cliff near the seashore had fallen down.

Mary wondered, "What if I go look over there?

"If I look carefully, will I find anything new?"

Digging through the rubble,

Mary noticed some really strange markings in the rock.

It was the fossil of a large skull,

with lots of sharp teeth.

As she unearthed the entire fossil

and put its bones together,

Mary realized that it was the fossil of a giant reptile

that had once lived in the ocean.

This was unlike any creature alive today.

It was an animal that had gone extinct.

All her life, Mary kept looking carefully,

finding more and more fossils of extinct animals.

Mary Anning gave us new ideas

about what animals on Earth had been like a long time ago.

Mary Anning and Galileo were looking

at very different things.

But take a moment to think about

what their stories have in common.

What did both of these scientists do that was similar?

Now would be a good time to pause the video and discuss.

Okay, you ready?

One thing you might've noticed is that both Galileo

and Mary Anning started out being really curious

about things around them.

When they noticed something interesting or surprising,

they didn't just say, "Oh, that's neat," and then move on.

They noticed things, and then paid really close attention.

And here's the thing,

when you start paying close attention to something,

you start wondering a lot more questions.

Galileo started wondering things like,

"What are those little bumps and shadows?

"What is the surface of the moon like?"

Mary wondered, "What kind of animals

"did these fossils belong to?

"What does that mean about life a long time ago?"

You don't have to be a scientist to think like this.

This is a drawing made by a young girl named Fiona,

who decided to purposely take something plain and ordinary,

these leaves, and look really carefully at them.

As soon as she started paying close attention,

she realized, she had all these interesting questions.

Drawing and paying careful attention to something

is kind of like training your brain

to discover interesting new things and ask questions.

You should try it yourself.

You can train your brain, too.

For this week's episode, we have a special activity

where you'll practice noticing something,

and asking questions like a scientist.

See how many questions you come up with.

I think you'll find it's a lot of fun,

even if you don't figure out the answers

to the questions right away.

That's totally okay.

Scientists sometimes spend years figuring

out the answers to the questions they come up with.

Even when you do figure out the answer to a question,

you'll find it always leads to new questions.

That's actually one of the fun things

about noticing something interesting and asking questions;

it just gets more and more interesting,

and you start having more and more questions.

That's why at the end of each video,

I always say, "Stay curious."

There are so many interesting things

out there to notice and wonder about.

There are so many questions worth asking.

So, in summary, the reason scientists know so much,

is because they pay close attention to lots of things,

and they ask lots of questions.

By doing this, sometimes they discover things

no one has noticed before.

That's all for this week's question.

Thanks, Barina, for asking it.

Now, for the next episode, I reached into my question jar

and found three questions submitted to me

that I'm thinking about answering.

When this video's done playing, you'll get to vote on one.

You can choose from:

"How do hot air balloons rise?"

"How do trees give us oxygen?"

Or, "How close could an astronaut get to the sun?"

So, submit your vote when the video's over.

I wanna hear from all of you watching.

There are mysteries all around us.

Stay curious, and see ya next week.

How we do Tashlich with Kids for the Jewish High Holidays (Little Kosher Lunch) - Duration: 1:48.

hi everybody it's melissa here from Little Kosher Lunch and i wanted to

talk to you today about tashlich it's still summertime weather and soon

starting right after Rosh Hashanah is the time when Jews go to bodies of

water to throw their crumbs in we go with our congregation to the beach here to

the Pacific Ocean it's a tradition that I did not grow up with but that I think

was really exciting and fun now that I'm a mommy because it's a really great like

literal translation of the things that we do at High Holidays which is to

repent and think of what we could have done better and get rid of all of our

baggage from the year before I can link some resources for you below if you're

unfamiliar with a tradition traditionally Tashlich is something

that you do at a body of water that is flowing so that your sins can

literally wash away from you and to the ocean it's kind of a fun thing to think

about with your family maybe you go somewhere like the LA river and you can

throw your crumbs in there if the water is flowing (cross your fingers) or maybe

you go someplace like a park or even a playground where there's a lazy river

and even if you can't get away from home PJ library has a really great list of

things that families can do with everyday objects like sidewalk chalk or

bathtub crayons that can also be a way of teaching your kids about the ritual

of Tashlich I'd love to hear from you if this is a tradition that you do alone

with your family with grown relatives and it's definitely something that I

wanted to spread the word on whoa because a day at the beach is something

we always look forward to going to temple is great but getting out of doors

and doing something Jewish is super fun too and a great way to teach your

children about what the High Holidays are all about I hope that you've enjoyed

this little mini video and me getting outside with the kids and I hope to see

you back here soon

The Proper Way To Do Walking Lunges - Duration: 3:55.

In today's video I'm going to teach you about the walking lunge. So the ATG split squat is one of our main exercises.

And if you take a look at my legs an ATG split squat means the front foot stays flat the hamstring completely covers

The calf without the back knee touching this right here if you go up and down

But if you want even further groin injury prevention

If you want to transfer your split squat into even more speed they're gonna do a walking lunge

So if you can get a view of my legs here

you're gonna see that a walking lunge is a

Dynamics splits, but I'm going into a perfect one

Come back full hamstring cover the calf and I explode out. All right. Look go

Ha

These guys have been working their split squat and now they're trying to translate that explode out of the hole into a wall to

Create and perform

That's really good form in your stretching, you know perfecto

And then looky you can circle back and lunch back

Good

The cool thing is like a lot of our exercises when you start the workout

by the end of the workout

You're more flexible than you were at the start and you've trashed your legs in a leg workout

And this is what we find to give the best results. So if we look here this guy he's doing walking lunges

He's not doing box what he's not doing. Well, Gary and split squat to 300 pounds yet

He is flooded with division 1 scholarship offers and he's running fast and ever and get more muscle mass than ever. So

if you target your body in the right way, you can be like a

Scientific athletic body builder you can still put muscle in the right places without doing heavy half range movements now

when kervins gets back

Luke I want you to try to do those twelve and a half kilo

There's one tip I want to show you about the walking lunge before we move on

and

While they're getting ready

You should know that if you can't get really good results out of the walking lunge

Go ahead and get those then you just keep working on your front foot elevated split squats, which we go over a lot

Right here shoots back just a little now say I were to double this even more he would get down to the bottom

If they're not strong enough

Push these to the floor straight up

your body will want to shoot back and then

The weights too heavy now the good thing about that it's completely safe

If you go to the bottom and you have to push back well

Okay, is this bus so it's completely safe

But you should monitor your form and that's why our online coaching staff will helpful to check your form

But basically if you have to push back then the weights just a little too heavy for a walking punch

so by adding in the walking lunge

You can take the strength and the flexibility you've been gaining from the split squat. You can get even more flexible

You can further bulletproof your groin against injury and you can start translating

Your split squat into guaranteed speed on the field. Thank you for watching

Make sure you like it subscribe and comment below to let us know what you'd like to see next

How Much Money Do I Need to Start Forex Trading? - Duration: 6:39.

Do you need to be rich to start Forex Trading?

Can you start Forex Trading with just $100?

Or even better, can you start Forex Trading with no money at all?

In this video we are going to answer to a very popular question: "how much money do

I need to start Forex Trading?", so let's see.

Hello everyone, this is Federico Sellitti, welcome back to my channel.

Today we're drinking water, very... very very healthy for our trading.

How much money do you need to start Forex Trading?

I get the reason why this question is so popular, because this is a starting point, so you want

to start at your best, you want to start knowing the exact amount that you should invest in

the Forex Market.

So, today in this video, I'm going to try to answer this question, but don't expect

me to say something "start with $200", "start with $500", "start with $2000"...

I'm just going to give you some guidelines and some suggestions.

So the tip number 1 that I want to say to you is "Treat Forex Trading like a business".

If you want to open a coffee shop, for example, you need to find a place, you need to buy

the equipment, you need to hire people to work in the coffee shop, you need to get a

license and so many other things.

I'm not an expert about this, but you get the point of it, I want to say that any business

is difficult.

No one is giving you free money, no one is giving you easy money and Forex Trading is

no different.

So, Forex Trading is not easy at all.

I understand that there are so many advertisements online, showing guys earning a thousand dollars

in just 10 minutes or something like this... it is very deceptive in my opinion and you

shouldn't believe in something like this.

I tell you that Forex Trading is not easy and you will not get a hundred or a thousand

dollars in 10 minutes, or something like this.

And the second tip that I want to give you is directly linked to the first one, because

we have said that Forex Trading is not easy at all, so you need to consider the possibility

that you will lose the money that you invest, so the advice number 2 is: "do not invest

money that you can't afford to lose".

Let's consider again the coffee shop business.

If you want to open a business like that, you wouldn't invest all of your money, taking

out a loan and start to have debts just going all-in with your coffee shop business.

And Forex Trading is the same, you don't really want to invest all of your money an, if you

run out of business, you will not have a business anymore, you will have debts and you will

have a kind of feeling that your life is just falling apart and this is the last thing that

I want, I don't really want you to start Forex Trading and start to get in trouble with your

life because you are losing money that you can't afford to lose, that is very important

for your life.

So, my second advice, and please keep this in mind, "do not invest money that you can't

afford to lose".

Now, I tell you this because I started Forex Trading in 2007, I was 17 at that time, and

I started with €500.

And I know that it doesn't sound like a very big amount, but for a 17 year old, €500

is a huge amount, especially for me, I don't come from a rich family, my mother is a housewife,

my father has a very normal job, an average-paid job, so €500 for me was a lot of money.

I saved money for so many months to start my career as a Forex Trader and I had this

kind of positive mindset.

I thought I could make a lot of money, I could double my account every three months, I could

go on holiday whenever I wanted, I could provide for my family, I could take my girlfriend

to fancy restaurants and so many other things, but reality turned out to be different and

I lost my money in 2 months.

Now, with this, I don't want to say that you are going to lose necessarily your money.

You can really turn your life around with Forex Trading, but you also need to consider

the opposite scenario, that you can lose your money.

So when you start trading, do not invest money that you can't afford to lose.

Start with an amount of money that is ok for you if you lose it.

Let's say $100, let's say $500, let's say $2000...

I don't really know each financial situation, so you know better than me, you know yourself,

you know what you can afford to lose.

Now, at this point, I know that you may have a question: "what if I want to be a full-time

trader and want to quit my job?

How much money do I need and how long does it take to build the necessary capital to

be a full-time Forex Trader?".

I'm preparing another video for this and I will put...

I don't remember the name of it...

I will put a card, yeah it is card!

I will put a card in this YouTube video.

At the moment, I'm not allowed, but as soon as possible, I will put a small card in the

video and, anyway, you will find the link in the description as well.

Treat Forex Trading like a business and do not invest money that you can't afford to

lose.

Please keep this in your mind.

Thanks for watching and, if you want more contents like this, make sure to subscribe

to my channel and I wish you a great career as a Forex Trader and I'll see you in the

next video.

feel this is definitely gonna be hot but it is fired so that it's an exception it

says we can be hot for fire the length of this hair are 24 24 22 and a 20 inch

frontal I'm pretty sure that is correct because sometimes I don't really have a

correct I always in description but I think that is correct

and I've never had three bundles look at this thick and I'm telling you guys

again I think it's because like how small the curls are so if you do want

like three bundles you don't really want before I feel like you should get a

smaller curl because it just looks so great and so natural this wig I honestly

didn't even have to plug it that much the wig already came pre plucked a

little bit you know it's like a little plugs but it's not fully plugs but it

was still a pre plug that's how it came I just flicked it a little bit more and

I bleached the frontal and I actually bleach a little bit like up to the hair

like a little a little bit on to the hair and it looks just amazing like I'm

so glad that happened I still don't know what video I want to do on this hair

perfect I really don't know what else to say about this hair like my literally my

hair reviews are always so short because I oh yeah this hair has no product in it

it's literally just placed on my head no products at all and it's still so fired

so I know the product is gonna be so much more defined and just so long

this for my little 21st B day like ID picture um let me know in the comments

below what you guys think I should do because I honestly don't know either but

my hair views are always a hella short because I always just because I feel

like I just get right to the point and I don't mumble about anything I let you

guys know what's fire or not and that's it so all my coupon codes will be down

below everything will be down below you guys already know the deal

Want to see God? THEN DO THIS! - Duration: 3:20.

Do you want to see God?

Do you love God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind?

I read from John 12:20

"Now there were certain Greeks among those who came up to worship at the feast.

Then they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."

Philip came and told Andrew, and in turn Andrew and Philip told Jesus. But Jesus answered them, saying,

"The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone;

but if it dies, it produces much [d]grain.

He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also.

If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor."

Ones I prayed to God to show me what is between me and Him that is interfeiring in our relationship

and He showed me something I didn't expect, it was the screen of my laptop.

Am i willing to give up time on my laptop for time with the Lord? Of course I am!

What does it mean to hate your life in this world?

It means you crucify every day the desires of the flesh.

Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life.

If we want everlasting life we must follow Jesus.

Because He is life itself.

But we cannot follow Jesus,

if we love this world with all it's lusts and pleasures.

I read from John 14:21

"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.

And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and [f]manifest Myself to him."

How much are you willing to give up for the Kingdom of God?

How much do you love God? May Jesus bless you.

How Do You Gain Customer Loyalty? - Duration: 5:14.

Hey welcome back to the Six Figure Mastermind, Marianne here with you today.

Let's talk customer loyalty and what it takes for those customers to keep coming back to

you.

So customer loyalty is a big deal in your business and there's a lots of ways to do

that.

Lot's of ways to incentivize your customers to come back.

Bottomline is you got to be providing a quality product otherwise your customer won't be coming

back for anything.

So here's some key tips on how to get your customers coming back for more.

First of all, your customers need to know exactly what to expect when they work with

you.

You don't want any surprises unless they're really positive surprises.

So as long as your customers know what to expect from you, it's easy for them to return.

You know take for example, if you were to take your cards for a mechanic and that mechanic

is one that always add something else on as a bonus or gives you a free air freshener.

That's one way to keep that customer loyalty.

The customers know what to expect when they go there.

They know to expect great customer service.

They know to expect maybe a little bonus or a thank you gift.

It's a great expectation to give and a way to build your customer loyalty.

So be aware that your customers need to know exactly what's going on.They don't want any

negative surprises, only positive ones.

Another way to keep your customer's loyal to you is to create what's called a frequent

shopper program.

And this can be done in a myriad of ways.

You can have a punch card where they get the tenth item free or you could have a points

program where the customers gets points for everything that they purchase.

You know there's different ways.

Maybe you have a referral program where your customers get a little thank you check or

thank you gift or maybe a little give away for every customer they refer to you.

Now it's going to be a little different with product based business versus service based

business.

Product based business is easier to do the punch card and this points system and/or service

based business, it's easier to do the referral program.

So for example, you are a photographer and you have a referral program, for your business,

it's super easy to say, hey, there's a new client, ask them who referred them and then

you can send a thank you bonus.

Maybe a free canvas or an upgrade to the package for the client that referred them.

Now that's for the service based business.

Remember it's different from products and services.

It's easier to do some things than it is others.

Another way to bring your customers back and have them running back to your door is to

have your own unique flair.

You know I was at Five Guys the other day and I had pre- ordered in.

I called and I ordered because we were just getting to movie and we were like cram our

food down before we got to movie.

And when I got there, I was hey, I like to pick up this order and they said, what's your

name.

I said, hey, it's Marianne and they said.

Marianne's here and they called back to the entire restaurant.

Marianne's here.

And everyone's like, hey Marianne!

You know some people might think that's kind of cheesy but I thought that was cool.

But I thought that was cool.

And I thought like, hey!

They know me, they recognize me even though I've never been there before.

It felt really cool to be recognized and it put a smile on my face.

Which leads me to my last tip.

Take customer surveys.

Ask your customers what they love about your business.

Ask them what they would like to see improved by your business.

Ask them what they love about your unique flair.

What makes you apart from any other business in your industry.

And whatever puts a smile on your customer's face, do more of that.

So ask them in the survey.

what makes you smile when you come to the door of our business.

That's going to do 2 things for you.

2, alright?

The first thing's that that's going to do for you is get a really good feedback on what

you're doing that's working and what you're doing that's not working.

The second thing that it's going to do for you is it increases psychology of your customer's

experience within the store.

So if you ask good questions about what do you love about shopping with us?

What do you love about your instore experience.

What do you love about our representatives?

How do you like to be thanked?

Ask this questions and it gets your customers thinking in the psychology of yes.

Whatever questions you asked your brain, your brain answers too.

So if you're asking the customers brain about their positive experience in the store, guess

what they're going to be thinking of?

The positive experience they've had in your store.

When gets them into yes mindset of coming back in doing business with you.

So those are just the quick...Few quick tips in just in creating customer loyalty programs

. A lot of them are very easy to do with your print shop list.

Let's say if you want to do a customer loyalty card, you can easily go to Kinkos or Risto

print and create a customer loyalty card that you punch.

These are systems that are super easy to implement and again, if you're using a CRM or Customer

Relationship Management software, track of all of your information in there so you could

keep track your customer's points.

Nothing's worst than a customer loyalty program that has a broken back end.

So, if you want a really good customer loyalty program implement it on your CRM automated

as much as possible.

So that your customers come back for more.

Hey, thanks for checking that out.Let me know what you like about the video.

Arsenal news: Alexandre Lacazette admits what he must do to earn Unai Emery starting berth - Duration: 4:09.

The Frenchman has started all of the Spaniard's first three Premier League matches on the bench with his longest cameo seeing him play 45 minutes of the 3-1 win over West Ham after replacing Alex Iwobi at half-time

Lacazette has made an obvious impact in all of the Gunners' matches so far and it was his cross which was diverted into his own net by West Ham defender Issa Diop to put Arsenal ahead with 20 minutes to play

He scored 17 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions - 14 in 32 in the league - in his first year following his £52

7million switch from Lyon last summer but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has become Arsenal's first-choice No 9 since joining in January

But having played so impressively so far this season, particularly given the disappointment of missing on a spot in France's World Cup-winning squad in the summer, Lacazette's first start is seemingly close

Yet the 27-year-old has opened up on what he must do in order to command a spot in Emery's starting line-up

"I have to be more powerful and be quicker in my decision making," he told Arsenal Player

"It's harder in England than in France, so I have to take in information quicker and be more powerful

" And Lacazette also dismissed suggestions that he is pressuring Emery into starting him alongside Aubameyang or not despite the potential for a potent strike-force between the two

"I like to be with Auba. He's a good guy," he added. |I'm not asking the coach or telling him, 'I want to play with Auba' or something like that

"He knows we can play well together and then afterwards, he makes his decision." Arsenal have endured plenty of criticism in the early days of Emery's reign after losing back-to-back top-flight matches against Manchester City and Chelsea before winning against West Ham

The north London club even fell behind at first to the Hammers after Marko Arnautovic's opener before bouncing back through Nacho Monreal

Diop's own goal and a stoppage-time Danny Welbeck strike gave Arsenal - minus the reportedly-ill Mesut Ozil - a much-needed win at the Emirates Stadium although they weren't wholly convincing

And Lacazette believes Emery's charges require patience as they seek to adapt to the new manager's methods with predecessor Arsene Wenger having been in charge for 22 years

"We just need time to adapt to Emery's football," Lacazette continued, referring to Emery's tactics which involve a high press, playing out from the back and a high defensive line

"I know we worked hard in pre-season and it will be better now. We can also see that when everyone works as a team and we understand what the coach asks us to do, we can be a good team

"We just need to be more efficient with our chances so that we score more goals. We'll keep going and we'll keep working

" Arsenal's next outing sees them travel to south Wales for a clash with newly-promoted Cardiff on Sunday (1

30pm) with the Bluebirds yet to pick up their first win of the campaign.
