Youtube daily how Feb 15 2019

Well you have date night.

What if you add meeting night?

I'm Adam Grant and this is normally Work in 60 Seconds but for Valentine's Day this is

Love in 60 Seconds!

I actually think there's a lot we do at work that's relevant to our relationships and one

thing comes from studies of great managers.

A simple step

Effective managers take is they just have weekly one on ones with all their direct reports.

That's been demonstrated at Google for example to be important.

And if you think about the benefits it's a way to make sure that they stay on the same

page.

It prevents managers from micromanaging in between and it gives every individual employee

a voice.

And since I'm one of my wife's direct reports we decided when I started traveling for work

that we should have our own weekly meetings.

I know it doesn't sound romantic but it's actually been pretty helpful.

Make sure nothing falls through the cracks while I'm on the road and it prevents us from

nagging each other.

We ended up writing an article about it in my favorite source of research inside Redbook

magazine and I was surprised to hear from hundreds of couples who swear by this in their

own relationships.

So Alison, do you want to talk about some of what you've learned from this?

-No...

Are you sure?

-I'm just the videographer.

All right I'm putting this on the agenda for our next weekly meeting.

That's Work and Love in 60 Seconds I'll see you next week!

How Do I Pay Myself From My Business? - Duration: 10:54.

(upbeat music)

- How do you report donations

your non-profit received on IRS Form 990?

- Right.

- So you want to do this one, or?

- Yeah,

I've got the general rule,

and the general rule says that

there is a Schedule B as part of the 990,

and any donations, more than, greater than $5,000

have to be reported there.

Who the money came from.

- Is that for a 990N, as well?

When you have less than-

- It's for the 990EZ or 990.

It's not for the 990N.

- Alright, so if you make less than 50 grand

in donations or revenue,

I think it's revenue?

- Revenue

- Ya

So, if you make less than 50,000 and you're 501C3

you don't have to report anything.

You're doing a postcard.

There's eight pieces of information

the who, what, why, when, where, right?

- Yup

- You're not putting in

You're just basically saying here's in control of it

and here's what I do

and there's really not much there,

it's electronic.

It's pretty easy.

You make more than 50 grand,

now you're doing the 990 EZ or the 990.

Is that?

- So ya, you have to report who contributed how much

greater than $5,000.

- Ya, less than $5,000.

- But that is not public information.

- That's on a schedule that goes to the IRS.

- Correct.

Right.

- They're using that to determine whether or not

you're a private foundation for the most part,

I think that's probably what they're doing.

- Ya because, if you're filling out the 990

you're saying you're a public charity of some type,

that's not a private foundation.

- (laughs) Somebody says, you drive a Masderati.

That's awesome.

That's about right.

- More like a Mazda.

- Masderati.

I love that.

That's horrible.

Anyways, do you report donations?

Only if they're over 5,000,

and then if you do, it's only if your business,

your 5013C is making over 50 grand.

If it is, then ya, you report it on your Schedule B,

but again only if it's more than $5,000.

- So ya, if you're filling out either the 990 EZ or the 990

itself, you're always going to report total revenue

from contributions, public contributions,

but you only have to report, individually,

those that are greater than $5,000.

How to Get Your Spouse Excited About Housework - Duration: 5:01.

Hey guys

We're gonna show you our top three tips for how to get your significant other to help more around house

Whether that be doing the dishes more or doing the laundry or even taking the kids while you finish dinner

Yep

So if you're tired playing chicken with your spouse about who takes out the trash

Then stick with us and please stick with us all the way to the end

Because we're not just going to show you our top three tips

But we're gonna show you the mental barriers and the communication breakdowns the result in you

Not working together like the team you are. So here we go

Okay, let's be honest this here could potentially be a controversial topic

so we're not saying who should do what on the house but we are saying that there probably are some areas that either one of you would like some help with

You what like some up with exactly and there could be a gazillion reasons why you're not working together the way that you would like

so we're making the assumption that you're both physically able and that you are on speaking terms with each other and

As awesome as we are we're not marriage counselors

No, but we are very good at helping people have a calm stress-free life through good organizing habits

So if that's your thing

then like and subscribe. Step 1, and there's no way to get around this, you have to talk to each other about the situation

Yeah, so for example laundry, I used to do all the laundry in house and it wasn't something we really agreed on

That was my responsibility. It was just somewhere down the line

it just kind of became that and it didn't change until we finally sat down and I said: "Binni"

"Yeah?" "We need to figure this out." "Yeah!" And here's the thing

Maybe I should have picked up on this before you brought it up

Because I know that you don't enjoy doing the laundry as much as for example cooking

But I didn't know and I could have waited around forever

with hoping that you pick up on my little hints or little

Frustrations along the way and I think it's very natural for people to do this

But if you want results, you really have to talk about it. Exactly so we're almost ready to move on

but there's one last thing that we want to bring up in this context that I think is very

important and that is you have to put yourself into

their shoes

odds are that your

Significant other is doing a bunch of things around the house to try to accommodate for how you've discussed doing things or how you want

Things to be done or how he or she thinks that you want things to be done

And if you go in guns blazing then it's not gonna end well

Number two is aligning on how to do things

So when you start helping more with the laundry

I noticed that the first thing to do are your own stuff and then you move onto towels and sheets and the socks all the

Things that are easier for you to do

Yeah, and it's not because I don't want to contribute with the rest of the laundry

But let me explain what I think is going on here when you're doing stuff that you're familiar with

Your brain is driving down a highway

It's easy, you just drive, but when you start learning a new skill or figuring out how to do certain chores around the house

then it's like a country road and there are turns and the road is narrow and you don't know what's around the corner and

That's just what's happening. I mean, I'm trying to figure out. Okay, what do I do with these skirts?

Do I hang them up? Do I roll them? Do I fold them do it just bunch them together

Probably not

but and

That's the point if I can do it automatically then I'll do it

But if if it's more difficult for me to figure out what to do, then there's a mental barrier there

Yeah, and the solution is that you need to massage your significant other. Not literally although that never hurts

But you need to go over it a few times. You need to keep working at, it work on

How do I fold this or how do I hang this properly? If it be laundry or it could be something completely different.

Absolutely. Number three you need to assign things at home within your household

So I used to loathe emptying the dishwasher because I didn't know where stuff belonged. Yes

I could put away the plates and glasses but I'd end up with a spatula or whisk that I didn't know where to put.

Now, switching gears a little bit a couple of years ago. We went through the kitchen, decluttered the whole thing and

reassigned all of our kitchen utensils a home and

Now we can find stuff which is good. But as an

Unexpected by-product. We we kind of realized that

I'm a lot better now at emptying the dishwasher and I just do it automatically because I know where everything belongs

And you need to do the same thing: Assign everything home and you have to do it together

That's the only way that you're both gonna own the outcome

Declutter along the way. There's a link below to a video

Where we do exactly that and if you want to make it really easy on yourself

Then we have an ultimate organizing roadmap that will lead you every step of the way in your organizing efforts

You can get that by clicking the link below and signing up for our mailing list

Absolutely. We hope you've enjoyed following us along and we have a challenge for you and that is for you to share in the comments

below

What are some of the areas were you and your significant other collaborate well in your day to day life

So share that please. We'd love to read it and we'll reply to every comment

Toodles, bye bye

Can't remember who's starting. I'm sorry. I think you're starting ok

This can potentially be a controversial topic. So we're not saying... did you go in there?

How Gratitude Rewires Your Brain ft RKVC + GIVEAWAY ANNOUNCEMENT - Duration: 16:45.

there's been a lot of talk about gratitude here at the rewired soul so I

got rod and Vince here and we're gonna talk a little bit more about it what is

up everybody this is Chris from the rewired so where we talk about the

problem but focus on the solution and I'm here with two good buddies of mine

go ahead and introduce yourself real quick I'm rod and I'm Vince we're a

self-deprecating romantic pop rock duo rkvc yeah oh and that's a leaf blower

we're a band with songwriters and we suck at everything else including taking

care of ourselves talking about gratitude and by the way stay tuned

until the end of this video because I will be doing a giveaway so real quick

like whenever rod and I hang out and Vince and like rod always tells the

story about how we met so let me ask let them know real quick

how we met I guess the TLDR is when the whole Shane Dawson Jake Paul thing was

happening Kati Morton was featured in those videos a lot of you saw those know

that actually if you're watching this you probably know Kati Morton is and

Kati is an acquaintance of ours we see her conventions and stuff something got

suggested on our YouTube suggestions things I was like is Kati Morton a good

therapist like mother watch it was this guy that was in the morning and then at

nighttime we were on our way to like a vid summit afterparty the patreon his

house and I saw him in the hallway was like it was gonna sound totally creepy

but are you Chris and then we just started talking for like ever and then

and then these guys came out to Vegas what was the last month yeah yeah we got

to hang out and stuff but anyways yeah we were we were sitting down and talking

about gratitude and like we've been trying to meet up and like do you know

collab um like that is a great great great topic so tell me tell me again

about like I know you got you start writing stuff down Vince you're getting

in on it a little bit I'm starting I must start yeah

my other things though and I could talk about those those ways that I express

gratitude yes things like so yeah yourself about yeah

let's let's do that right because there's a billion different ways to do

it and something I try to teach all of you it was like there's different ways

to do these things like I'm not a big journaler like I don't have like a

journal like I have like 15 notebooks I write stuff and but then I use apps and

stuff like that so yeah tell me about the habit that you

picked up and then that you picked up offense um the the short version of how

it started was once again Kati Morton we were at a patreon convention and I had

asked a question at the end of her speech about like how do I properly

internalize anger and also how do I be more positive and up later like not be

as angry with the not to call any specific youtuber spoke a lot of our

youtuber friends do not like their life right now and are blaming like everybody

else and I was like I don't want to be that so how do I not be that so maybe

was like hey don't internalize anger there's no correct way of doing that and

that's a whole nother thing but the second thing that she said was hey let

your friends know that you're trying to be positive so if it seems like you're

ignoring the complaints it's not them it's you

yeah boundaries and then the second the other part of that was be like she was

like every morning wake up and genuinely be grateful for something she's like you

could write it down you could you know think about it or whatever so I went

through this like process of like what works for me so I knew previously from

other habits I used to run every day which I need to get back into yeah I

mean to social media keeps me accountable particularly granny potty

mouth so like if I post on Twitter every day

I'm gonna be grateful for something if I miss one day and the rest of the

Internet as well but specially granny so I was like for the first 30 days I'm

gonna post a hashtag rkv see our RK is grateful for something I'm genuinely

grateful for and not just making up or whatever I'm like this is something you

know worth waiting yeah sometimes it can become like a big thing like we

accomplished something huge or something in our careers went really well or some

Katie said don't be afraid to be grateful for small things you know like

I can see today more I you know I woke up without some sort of weird joint pain

that's inexplicable in my 30 yeah or not as much joint pain I don't

know like non-sarcastic and not making it a chore but like genuinely being

grateful for it so you're specifically using like social media making it public

that was the first 30 days for me to get into the habit of it because I think

after like a couple few weeks it's just like involuntary like it just kind of

happens you know yeah so after that 30 days was like I don't want to like gloat

or bother everybody on the internet with it unless you want to follow this and so

at that point I started using like notes on my phone to keep track for me that

didn't register as well I didn't retain it as well I don't I'm

not saying that that won't work for other people yeah so at the start of the

new year I literally just took a actual notebook at the patreon gave me a blank

notebook and then just start like 1 1 yeah like I am grateful for and then

right now and I think the important takeaway from that too is to be mindful

of what's working for you and what isn't like some people like try and try and

like I'm huge on meditation and stuff like that but if like formal meditation

like sitting down folks down but isn't working

figure out a different form you know so like if you start doing gratitude lists

in your phone and it's not registering as much try something else what about

what about you best what you doing it's a perfect transition this guy really it

all revolves around I wear my emotions and I project anger a lot so I had to

learn what things I that triggered that and start to develop these ways to where

when I'm in those moods I can like it'll shoot me back to this one thing that

I've continued to do every single day so when I get up in the morning I'm that's

kind of that determines what mood I'll be so when I get in the shower when I

feel the water hitting me and like running down my body I say out loud and

I say to myself like let all my anger wash wash away let you know let all

whatever bad feelings wash away and then while I'm when I get to a peaceful point

that's when I start saying like I'm grateful for being in California I'm

grateful for my friends for those I'm grateful for that so that

later when I'm in like an angry fit hopefully it shoots me back to the

shower where I'm like what saying those things you know like so those mornings

when we run out of hot water I know to like leave him alone yeah so it's like

two things it's it's one thing is like doing it something repetitiously so that

later when I find myself in these ungrateful or like mad or angry fits

that instead of projecting out bad things I can like shoot myself back to

that mantra and continue to say like I'm grateful for this like wash away this

anger like try to turn the switch you know yes it's hard it's tough yeah yeah

none of this stuff is like he's in it's a habit that we develop and so two

things from that so like for example I was just using the example of meditation

not a lot of people are into that like formal like focus on the breath but like

that I do that in the shower - it's like sensation mindfulness right your being

aware of what the water feels like you're not just running into the shower

and you know you're like noticing like this is relaxing and talking you know in

your head or wherever they're so yeah so like that and that's all mindfulness is

is being aware of the present moment but like I can definitely relate because one

of the reasons I wrote rewire your anger was because I can get angry - and

gratitude is like this antidote for anger so like the less than six years

ago like when I got sober I had no driver's license I was riding the bus

and hot-ass Las Vegas might have to be standing at a bus stop in a hundred - in

ten degree weather and like so now like because you know all the things that

have come my way and the work I've put in I have a car and everything so I'll

be like stuck in traffic right especially hearing loss and did my

gratitude snaps me back like I'm grateful that I

at least have a car yeah to be stuck in traffic in you know like I'm grateful

that I at least have a car that was able to bring me the Los Angeles to hang out

with my friends and do videos like this so like gratitude is a great way to get

rid of anger as well yeah so like I call it negative thought cycles mmm and then

that thing that triggers that SiC Euler thing that you get stuck in it

breaks you off of that thing gratefulness and then you start a

positive thought cycle yeah and as long as you can stay in that positive

thoughts like I mean you'll just go back down yeah into a negative but you at

least you can figure out what the trigger is to get you back into a

positive thoughts yeah and like to dive deeper into that like with anger or even

like depression and like negative thinking like I don't know if you guys

ever get in like those negative thoughts like oh my my career isn't going

anywhere or my life sucks or whatever it is do you find that gratitude can help

you bounce out of that like when you're like you're just like sitting in that

pity party look no clue no dude that does happen for me I'm a little bit of

an odd duck like it's very preventive for me

that's what I found recently hopefully like a year from now but like I find

myself getting to that cycle less that negative cycle yes so like we were

you're talking about this when we were visiting in Vegas that once you know

back a few months ago the Aquaman movie had its premiere and we were there and

normally when us peasants go to these premieres they just kind of put it aside

and like you get to be here in histogram a little bit but this time they walked

us across the rori it wasn't a red car it was a blue carpet cause Aquaman

marched us across and they put us like right we're like all the interviews were

happening with Jason Momoa and Dolph Lundgren Nicole Kidman stuff and so we

were standing there and granted it was kind of a long night but long was like a

couple hours and I don't whenever I tell the story it sounds like very like yeah

my dears and now or whatever blue eyes it's not meant to mission yeah I would

say there and I was not the first time but the first time in a long time I was

genuinely like just in all of everything so many good things were coming at me

that perspective that I was thoroughly enjoying myself I was like I'm at a

movie premiere for something that like a bunch of my friends are trying to get

into that me four years ago watch TV and like how do i how do I be there you know

yeah and to just be there and then see a movie that's gonna end up being like the

best like selling movie I don't say that's movie but best selling movie yeah

and it was it was incredible I don't know there's some I could name a

thousand things I was grateful for that moment but everybody not everybody

around like my immediate circumstance like my feet hurt it's cold

outside habla he came to a point after a couple hours of that that like I started

just to feel sorry for everybody else's like they're not getting with like

they're not seeing yeah I'm seeing and perception is always fascinating to me

like it's something I talked about on my channel all the time to people can be in

the exact same situation one person hating it one person's loving it and

it's like how is that and that's the way that we work on our mind and how we

process things and all of that there's a meme that always comes to mind I've

never I've never forgotten it that I saw like years ago of like two people on a

bus like driving around a mountain and one of them's like looking into this

beautiful valley oh yeah another one's like looking on the other side it's just

like a rock wall there like this trip is awful and the other ones it's like

enjoying all you have to do is turn around yeah and like this is why I like

I try to you know implement like scientific studies maybe I'll link them

in the description but like practicing these things actually helped the video I

actually did with my mom over on her channel i'll link that because she links

some studies on that so let me ask you this like being in you know lovely los

angeles and like to kind of piggyback off that story about the red carpet do

you guys notice that like you when you look and observe people like do you

think a lack of gratitude is leading to some of their I don't know not being

fully satisfied with where they're at or what they do have oh yeah absolutely

definitely and like I'm like what way like what situations a little bit in the

Holly we got to name names we don't spill tea here a little bit in the

Hollywood world like where we have like a toe in in the film world and then our

main thing is music but like in the YouTube world specifically once again

without calling out names there are a lot of people that are super negative

and not that I'm trying to villainize them like sometimes it's very like

justified you know frustration yeah but it doesn't help to just be angry

stay in the problem not giving you the solution yeah yeah so like you want to

be a friend you know you're like they're listening and you're trying to give

constructive criticism of what's happening or whatever but like you could

tell that whatever decisions that person makes after that just like it's gonna be

affected by the thought so you know that negativity is gonna bring

shout to every decision you make it even if you stay in that then it's not gonna

work out there's like there was a number of occasions but specifically thinking

of like one conversation we have this intent that are on YouTube that like

were like well you two screwing us over yeah and so I was like okay well you

know maybe it's kind of like when you lose your job or you know this

that's situation like a fork in the road or you like well I can you know I give

choices now it might not be voluntary but like maybe this is the opportunity

if you were ever afraid to do something on your channel to break it if you know

if YouTube broke it or whatever maybe this is your chance to try it again and

they're like well I don't want to I don't want to like shake things up too

much cuz I want to break it like okay then I guess stay the same like hold

your ground and we have to change something cuz YouTube broke is like I

don't know what to tell you like just stop I'm not sure like yeah yeah that's

all that's a whole nother video about like stubbornness and like you know that

definition of insanity keep doing the same thing yeah expecting different

results but yeah my my girlfriend is a great job keeping me grateful too

because sometimes I get caught up in like the numbers right or if it's a

vicious especially like what I noticed about myself is like it's something that

I'm really proud of and you guys probably feel this way too as musicians

you know creators like you put so much and you just want people to see it and

my brain can say only a hundred people or only 500 people saw this then my

girlfriend you know that that perception thing she's like Chris 500 people might

have gotten a message yeah that helped them out and I'm like damn you're right

do you guys ever like point of view yeah we haven't talked about it on our

channel actually at all I don't think but one of the things that YouTube did

for us is a kind of like replaced touring because we toured our asses off

when we were in their 20s when our 30s were like you know what mm-hmm this is a

bit much but I think last year we did like half a million views on our channel

well yeah for most of our YouTube friends alike they literally do that and

like before lunch

but for us once again being grateful we're like one of our friends is like

ogee youtuber like retired from youtube like great was like but what you guys do

is great like 100 or like a thousand people watching your videos like imagine

people in a club at way yeah that's a lot of freaking people you know as like

you're right like even if we have like only less than a hundred people watch a

video like yeah that's a good night for us in a club yeah so half a million eyes

on our stuff we couldn't have toured every crappy bar in the country and

gotten that many eyes on this yeah you know yeah absolutely and yeah like think

we're gonna wrap this thing up so let me and by the way we're doing more videos

together so stay tuned we're about to do a video over on their channel so that'll

be down on the link in the description they have some some music that we're

gonna dive in some lyrics mental health related but you gotta go check it out to

find out but head over to my instagram at the rewired soul i'm giving away

three not one not two but three gratitude journals to celebrate some

gratitude so make sure you follow me over on Instagram so you can enter an

egg giveaway and where can these beautiful rewired soldiers find you guys

and for a social side its us oh wait I got that backwards for music side it's a

🙏How did Jungkook greet President Moon when he met? / ENG CC / Chapter 1. 안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo) - Duration: 2:16.

- Hello(안녕하세요)

Hello. This is Seoul to you.

'안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo)' is the most basic greeting in Korea.

In this video, I will explain the meaning of '안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo)'

and 3 different ways to say it in various situations.

- Hello(안녕하세요)

The infinitive of '안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo)' is '안녕하다(annyeonghada)'.

According to the Korean Standard Dictionary(표준국어대사전), '안녕하다(annyeonghada)' means 'to be well'

and 'body is healty and mind is at peace'.

So, you can say "너희 어머니께서는 안녕하시니?(How is your mother)?".

With this meaning, '안녕하다(annyeonghada)' has become a greeting

like 'what's up' in English.

Thus, the dictionary also says 'ask after a person'.

So then, In this situation, what would Jungkook most likely say to President Moon?

As you know, there is honorific system(존댓말) in Korean.

So, '안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo)' can also be said differently

depending on the relationship with the other person.

When you are close to someone,

you can simply say "안녕(annyeong)" without bowing your head like this.

- Hi(안녕)

'안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo)' is a greeting that is usually bent over the upper body

and can be used when you are not friendly with someone.

and also If you are friendly with someone but he/she is older than you,

you can say '안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo)'.

- Hello(안녕하세요)

Lastly, Like when Jungkook met with President Moon,

'안녕하십니까(annyeonghasimnikka)' can be used when people are not close to each other or are in a formal position,

but nowadays it is often replaced with '안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo)'.

- Hello(안녕하십니까)

To summarize, the greetings to be used between intimate people are '안녕(annyeong)',

and when you need to be polite, you can say '안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo)',

and '안녕하십니까(annyeonghasimnikka)' is the most polite greeting.

For your information, of these three words, "안녕(annyeong)" can also be used to say goodbye.

How was this video today?

If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments and we'll see you on the next video.

Bye~

How to Stay Safe Online | NordVPN - Duration: 2:20.

There are countless ways you can put yourself in trouble online, but these 7 have too easy

a fix to keep ignoring them.

Using the same password for everything

If a hacker somehow manages to get that single password, they will have no trouble accessing

all of your online accounts.

Create strong and unique passwords for every new account.

It's hard to remember them all, so try a reliable password manager.

Checking your bank account on public WiFi

Public Wi-Fi usually lacks proper protection, leaving its users' information open to hackers

and snoopers.

If you really need to check your account on the go, use a VPN to encrypt your online data.

Downloading files from sketchy sources

If you got an email with an attachment from someone you don't know, don't open the

attached file.

Also, downloading free pirated movies, games, and programs is not cool at all - it's one

of the easiest ways to get yourself malware.

Be very careful on sites you don't trust.

Agreeing to all software terms without reading them

By agreeing to the terms without reading them, you may be allowing the software to do pretty

nasty things.

Apps may collect information about you, listen to your conversations, install Trojans, viruses,

malicious adware, and do much more.

So always read before you click Agree.

Not using two-step authentication

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account.

It is available on many account-based services, making it much more difficult for hackers

to get into your private files and emails.

Clicking on virus warning pop-ups

If you see threatening pop-ups claiming to have found malware or viruses on your computer,

don't click on them.

They will more often than not try installing malware or adware on your device.

Thinking your smartphone is by default secure

With so much sensitive information residing on your phone, securing your mobile traffic

should be the first thing you do after you get a new phone.

Start by managing your security settings, adding lock screen protection, and using a

VPN.

How Many Movies Does Nigerian Nollywood Producers Release Every Year - Duration: 1:13.

How Many Movies Does Nollywood Produce Annually?.

On average, the Nollywood produces 1200+ movies per year, which is the highest of any movie

industry in the world.

This figure is not surprising, as a typical Nollywood movie is produced and shot within

the space of two weeks.

Also, the relatively low budget means actors are always engaged all-year round, as movie

producers can easily pay them for a short-term work.

The high annual production rate has obviously improved Nollywood's prominence at the global

stage.

However, the issue of video quality and predictable (uncreative) storylines remain Nollywood's

weak points.

Fewer productions would obviously translate to better quality, as the budgetary allocation

for each movie would be reviewed upward.

However, the status quo is not changing any time soon.

In fact, production is even on the rise, and in few years time, Nollywood might be producing

as many as 2000 movies per year.

How to Make a Beautiful Floral Gift Card Set! - Duration: 14:13.

hi it's Therese from Lostinpaper and I am so excited to be here as guest

designer with Spellbinders! they sent me a collection of stamps created by

Stephanie Low and the collection is called just add color and they are

beautiful I don't know I think that Spellbinders- might know something about me

and my love for flowers what do you think? Aren't they beautiful?

So today I'm going to be making a set of gift cards so I started by choosing the

stamps that I wanted to use and these are red rubber cling stamps so you can

use them with your blocks or you can use them with your MISTI tool and I stamped out

a stack of these and because they're red rubber they stamp beautifully and I used

a Copic friendly ink because I thought it would be fun to do some coloring

today and I did cover this whole sheet of stamps and I had a blast I did two

different styles of coloring today so I'm going to share a couple of flowers

and some leaves with you just to show you the process but I won't share them

all because we would be here all day, like I was, but it's fun I gotta say I

had so much fun. I don't always follow the rules when it comes to using my

Copic color families together I like to sort of mix them up sometimes I like the

colors that it gives me it does change the the tone of the colors so you can

get a whole different look and I don't have every Copic color

so I like to use what I have rather than feel like I need to go out and buy every

Copic color so I shaded two of the RV pinks I used the darker one on the inner

portion of the petal and then shaded it out with the lighter one as you normally

would do but I've come in with the BV00 to add the shadowing and I think

that the purple worked really well but to me it made it too purpley so I will

show you how I fix that in just a minute so because I'm

stamping and coloring for a set of cards I find that when I'm doing this I do

like to actually kind of make everything matchy matchy so it looks similar and

what I can do then is actually change things up so that they look like they

are meant to be together and coordinate but I don't get bored because if I was

making the same card over and over I would be so bored, and I wouldn't get

to use all of these beautiful flowers so I look at coloring a big sheet of

flowers like this as 'Copic coloring practice' and fun of course! alright so

I'm coming in with the BV again and I'm looking at it thinking it just does look

a bit too purple for my liking so what I'm doing here is I've actually bought

back in the RV 13 which is the darker RV color that I was using and just blending

that straight over top of the purple and what that does is it actually makes the

color back to a pink tone again and I think that worked perfectly so the

leaves that did make a nice bright green and this is probably my favorite lime

green color combo with the YG family they are a really pretty group of greens

and I use them all the time I have the refills that's how much I use them so

this is my second style of coloring and I'm going for more of a messy look which

is almost getting kind of a watercolor look using the Copic markers I'm trying

not to think too much about it I am coming in with my lighter color first

that's RV02 and actually just smooshing some color but focusing it on

the inside portion of the petals and making sure to leave some of the white

space on some of the petals and then I'm doing the same with the RV13 I'm coming

back in with that again and adding less this time less of the dark color

Now this is a really really simple way to color with copics and anyone can do

it so if you don't have confidence with all the shading and mixing of colors

this is a really great technique to try and it's a good way to learn your colors

and what they look like together as well so these are the leaves that I'm going

to coordinate with the messy flowers so I have colored them in a similar fashion

I have kept them almost watercolor look and leaving some white space on those as

well most of them are going to be hidden because I'm going to be creating a

wreath with this particular set of flowers and I thought I'd share just one

more flower with you because I did come in with my orange, it's orange and pink

combo it's my all-time favorite combo and today I coordinated it with gray as

well so I think I've got a new favorite combo bright orange hot pink and gray it

makes me happy. so these flowers I sort of did a combination between like the

perfect blend and the messy look and I think after I do my base colors what I

like to do sometimes it's come in with another color and actually add like a

final layer of shading and it just has to be slightly darker than the previous

colors that I've colored like on this orange flower I came in with the YR24

at the end and I found just by leaving a few streaks in the actual coloring it

gives it a more natural look so I'm going to start working on the panels

that are sitting on the front of my cards I have them all cut just slightly

smaller than the A2 card base and I'm going to cut the first three with the

Nestabilities circles and the next three I'm going to be doing some tone on

tone stamping for the backgrounds so these three pieces of gray cardstock

I'm stamping with the gray ink I am actually going to coordinate the stamps

that come in the sets together so the floral stamp that I coordinate with the

background stamp actually come in the same sets so this is the mandala

blossoms stamp and it has a little beautiful little bouquet that I curl it

up and you'll see that when I put that on put all the cards together at the end

this second set is the Peonies Blossoms set which is also really pretty and I

think that this makes a lovely tone on tone background and then when you add

the bouquets to it it just brings it to life so when I'm stamping a background I

like to make sure that I stamped some of the images of the edges of the card if

I'm using two different sized stamps I usually use my larger stamps first and I

also make sure that I rotate the stamp so it's at different orientations and

these leaves they're from the botanical feather set which has a bouquet a

feather and quite a few different leaves to choose from now all of the

backgrounds I did splatter some white ink spray I don't actually spray the ink

I disconnect the spray nozzle out of the bottle and

just tap it over top and then I set it aside to dry because it takes ages

All the sentiments come from the same stamp set which is the thanks expressions it's

actually a die and stamp set, it's awesome but it has all this great little

sentiments in it and so I've used that on all of the cards I stamped some in

black ink and I embossed some in white and I also embossed some for the gray

card bases on a darker gray and embossed those in white as well so the

trick here is what I do stamp out the sentiment in embossing ink

add my embossing powder and then I'll stamp again and once I've got them all

stamped just hit them with the heat tool all at

the same time just have to be careful not to touch the powder when you're

stamping I did prep it with the powder tool so I had to remove that powder I do

wait for the stamp embossing powder to cool down a

little bit before I do that and then I just cut my little sentiments into

strips now all of the panels I've popped up with some fun foam today and I used

some strong adhesive tape to do that with and then all of my cards are top

fold cards so that they do coordinate as a set of gift cards and all the colors

coordinate there's lots of dimension in all of these, I love dimension I also

do like to do fairly clean and simple cards but if I'm going to have something

I think by adding some dimension and some foam squares it really gives the

cards some of that wow factor I think these three gray ones turned out really

pretty actually I liked them all the flowers are what makes it! This is the

mandala blossoms it's a really pretty set and this particular flower when I

fussy cut it out I fussy cut right up to the edges I did a bit of both on these

cards some of the flowers and leaves I fussy cut leaving a white border others

I cut them straight up to the edge there is no rhyme or reason into why I did

what with what it was what I felt like

so each card is similar but the layout is

slightly different you could actually keep the same layout for all of the

designs and just change up the flower bouquets there's so many options

and for the final gray design I actually added two separate flowers here and

popped my sentiment overtop of the flowers I know that freaks some people

out but I really like my sentiment to sit on top and you can still see the

flowers like I said lots of dimension

so now it's time to work on the circle window cards I did actually come in and

splatter some extra gray cardstock with some of the white ink spray and I'm

gonna attach that directly to the front of my top fold card just using some tape

runner and I have popped this panel up on some foam foam with some strong

adhesive but it's hard to see because the fun foam is exactly the same color

as the card stock but I promise you it's there now these beautiful flowers are

from the large peonies stamp set and there's quite a few peonies in this

release and I hope to have another card coming up very soon to share with you

using the peonies bundle it's called which is another beautiful set but to

consider layering one of the flowers behind the window but changed my mind

right this one's from the loves me loves me not and probably the most clean and

simple card design that I make today and I did actually add just a white

sentiment and a white window I just thought it would be too much to have the

colored cardstock on the front of this one and I fussy cut that one out leaving

the white border I thought it would be easier and here's my final card and I

decided to create a wreath and that's why I cut the circle a little bit lower

on this panel I'm using some tape runner again just to adhere all the flowers and

leaves although I actually the final... I'm lying, all right you got me

I actually popped up for the flowers just with some 1mm thick, a

really thin foam tape but I think this card turned out beautiful too

I hope that you've been inspired to make a set of floral gift cards today and I'd

like to say thank you to Spellbinders for letting me play with this collection

from Stephanie Low 'Just Add Color' and I did, lots of it, pink and orange and gray

oh that's a neutral so don't forget to Like and subscribe until next time bye

Milyen nehéz egy hangya? Kiszámoljuk hány hangya van a farmban! - Duration: 7:42.

Hi! In this video we're going to weigh how much does an ant weigh?

And tring to appraise how many workers is in this formicarium?

We will count with their weight.

The weight of ants could be different by species.

For example you can see the Camponotus nicobarensis between,

their workers around 6 - 8 mm long,

but on the top there are the Harpegnathos venator,

these workers much bigger, can reach easily the 14 mm length.

And there is the Pheidole noda,

these workers are much smaller, minors only 2 - 3 mm long,

and majors only reach the 4 - 5 mm, so their weight are much less.

Will use a petri dish,

daub it's edge with an escape-prevent oil.

Ants can't go through this, so i can put them to the scales.

First use this small scales, it shows minimum 0,03 gramm, but it not too exact, so I will count with the average of 10 measures.

After i get the average weight of the petri dish,

i start to put workers in it with a brush carefully,

and trying to count how much would be an average ant's weigh?

When i put only one worker to the scales nothing happen,

but maybe can weigh the weight of 10 workers,

and will count it for only 1 ant.

If it still not work we will count with 20, 30, 40, etc.. workers, for sure.

This average method works well,

because my scale not too exact for this tiny weigh,

and second because the weight of the workers could different.

This Camponotus nicobarensis species have minor and major workers - their weight are different,

and the worker's weight also could depend of the nutrient reserves in their stomach.

Finally i count the workers from 10 to 100, and count with the average value of 10 weighs.

Can see the results on this graph.

If you see the first column, it much higher than the others.

I weigh only 10 workers here, and it shows that 12,5 mg is the average weight of a worker.

This data too high, probably doesn't work the average method with only 10 workers, so let's delete this column.

The graph looks much better now!

Can see there are a bit different columns on left, but for the end the values goes nicely to one direction.

Let's see the next graph!

Here can see averages. The averages of the previous columns.

In the first column from 20 to 100, so this is the average of the 20, 30, 40, etc values.

Here also can see that the values goes straight to one direction.

This is show as much workers we weigh, and as many average we count - as exact number we get.

So we will use the last value.

It shows 4,38 mg is a weight of an average worker.

As i know this value could be real.

But how many workers we have then in this formicarium?

For assign it we have to weigh the difference between an empty and a full formicarium.

It's important to get out every objects from the formicarium which's weight can sabotage the weigh.

So i daub some escape-prevent oil to the top of the formicarium.

It makes easier to get out the test tubes without many ant escapers.

Also try to get out the bigger insect-remainders, as i can.

I have to watering the moister-sponge of the empty formicarium,

as the another one's sponge also moist.

This is a same formicarium, but empty.

We will subtract it's weight from the weight of the formicarium with ants inside,

so we get the weight of the workers, the queen, and the brood.

It's 12 g.

Disperse it with the average weight of a worker - from previous values,

and it is....

2740

We can estimate the worker number for 2740 in this formicarium,

but don't forget, there are also the queen, the brood, and some insect-remainders in it,

so it's a higher estimated value.

But will more workers hatch from the brood soon,

and between as much ants, doesn't matter plus-minus some hundred workers.

Hope you liked this Math lesson!

If want same videos don't forget to like, share and subscribe, and hit the bell icon.

We will produce many better and better ant videos in the future.

How to unclog the AeroGarden Sprout aerator - Duration: 2:14.

Hi this is Peter Stanley, welcome to my channel

I just want to show a quick tip on how to unclog the AeroGarden Sprout

okay so as you can see

the AeroGarden Sprout

the lights are on, it's turned on

but the pump isn't running

and what happens is, this nozzle

thing gets clogged

and that just happens

occasionally

as you use it

Ideally you would

take some pliers or

there's a tool you can use too

to twist this out

and take it apart and clean it

but if you're in a hurry

and just want to get it going

these little dental

picks work really well

you can get these in the

dental section of any store

it's basically like a tiny pipe cleaner

so if you buy one just for this purpose

keep it handy

comes with a little

cap

and what you want to do is kind of

bend it a little bit

and then

lift the lid

just kind of

poke that in there a little bit

and that's it

and that's all there is to it

so yeah I just keep this handy

and every so often you really just need to

take it apart and clean it

but like if you're in a hurry

don't have time to do that

it's a quick fix and gets it going again

so anyway I hope you found that useful

thank you very much for watching

please like comment and subscribe
