Is It Safe To Eat Sushi While Pregnant? | Sushi During Pregnancy - Duration: 5:26.

Hilary duff got a lot of back lash this year when she posted a video of herself enjoying

some sushi while pregnant.

But is it really bad to have sushi while pregnant?

Depending on who you ask, you need to either avoid it like the plague, or it's part of

a healthy pregnancy diet.

But why all the confusion and what are the real cold hard facts?

I'm doctor O., this is For Mothers, and in this video, I'll be going giving you

everything you need to know about eating sushi while pregnant.

We'll even cover mercury in fish towards the end of the video so make sure you stick

around.

If you enjoy the video, give it a like, subscribe, and turn on notifications to see more just

like it.

Let's get to it.

Let's start of by saying, sushi is awesome.

Although the fact that it's raw turns some people off, a lot of people really enjoy the

different varieties you can find all across the world.

Sushi as we know it today started in the rice fields of China hundreds of years ago, when

fish were fermented in rice and vinegar not because it made them taste better, but because

it made them last for a longer time, and the rice was usually thrown away afterwards.

Eventually, this new style preserving fish made its way down to Japan who decided, you

know what, I want to eat the rice too.

Since then it's evolved countless times and turned into the cultural phenomenon it

is today.

Now enough history.

When it comes to fish during pregnancy, let's get one thing out of the way.

Can a pregnant mother even eat cooked fish to begin with?

Yes, in fact, if you don't, you should consider adding some to your diet.

Fish provide a nice assortment of essential nutrients that your baby needs to develop.

Fish are high in vitamin D and protein, and most importantly omega 3 fatty acids, which

can be difficult to get in other foods.

Omega 3 is important for the development of the nerves, brain the eyes of a child, and

fish is the best source of it.

Now when it comes to sushi, although there are cooked options, the majority of the fish

used is in fact raw.

Raw foods in general are more likely to carry disease causing organisms than cooked food,

since the food isn't exposed to the intense heat that kills the majority of organisms.

Another factor that makes this more concerning is that during pregnancy, the system that

fights diseases in the body, called the immune system, is weakened in order to prevent it

from attacking your own baby.

This leaves you less protected against organisms that might've potentially found their way

into your food.

So what are the recommendations then?

Well, we have two completely conflicting views depending.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on one hand and the Centers for Disease Control recommend

completely cutting out sushi from your diet, due to the risk of infection, regardless of

how low that risk is.

That's because infections can cause severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea, and

sometimes much worse than that.

On the other hand, the U.K. say there is no harm in having sushi while pregnant.

That's because modern food management techniques employed by producers, distributors, and the

restaurants serving the food have reduced the risk of infections to extremely low levels.

That's in addition to the fact that most establishments use farmed fish, which is usually

free of parasites to begin with and that they usually freeze the fish during the distribution

process, which kills most of the potential parasites that may have found their way into

the food.

In Japan, where eating sushi is a major part of life, most pregnant women continue to eat

sushi without any issue.

Basically, the U.S. guidelines on one hand say you should avoid all sushi altogether

because of the chance of severe infections, while the British say the risk is so low that

there's really no problem in eating sushi at all.

However, despite all the confusion, what both sides agree with is the final and crucial

part of this video - mercury.

Mercury is a liquid metal that when you're exposed to can cause problems in brain development,

especially in babies and children.

Mercury crosses the placenta, so if a mother is exposed to too much of it, it can effect

the baby's developing brain.

Effects can include reduced memory, attention, language skills, motor skills, and vision.

Mercury naturally forms from volcanos, forest fires, and from factories and often makes

its way into the water supply.

Because of that, most fish contain some amount of mercury.

When a larger fish eats a smaller fish, it absorbs its mercury, and for that reason,

smaller fish usually contain the least amount of mercury, while larger fish usually contain

the most.

So then you might be asking, well, why not just avoid all fish altogether?

Research shows that the children of parents that eat the most fish develop much faster

than children of parents that eat no fish at all, despite the tiny amounts of mercury

found in some fish.

So whether you choose to eat sushi or cooked fish, as long as they have low mercury levels,

it can actually really benefit your child.

So how do we make sure we get fish without getting too much mercury?

Well, it's really simple.

In the description below, I've left a link from the FDA about which fish are safe to

eat, and how often you can have them.

Oh and, one last thing.

Never under any circumstances have raw shellfish while pregnant.

Raw shellfish contain viruses and bacteria that can be absolutely harmful to your pregnancy

and both the British and United States guidelines say completely stay clear of the stuff.

As always it's important to note that everyone of you have your own unique health needs,

so make sure to talk to your own doctor before making any changes to your diet.

If you have a question I can answer in a future video, let me know in the comments below and

for more videos on motherhood, pregnancy, and baby care, make sure to like and subscribe,

and I'll see you next video!

Jada Pinkett Smith Walks The Walk When It Comes To Inclusion | Fast Company - Duration: 7:30.

- I'm so interested in people.

- Mmm hmm.

- You can call that nosy or you can call it very curious,

you pick.

(laughing)

- We'll go with curious, we'll go with curious.

(lighthearted rhythmic music)

(fun exciting music)

- Oh my goodness, look who is at the table.

(fun rhythmic music)

- You're not breaking me today, Jada!

- I've broken you enough.

(yelling)

We have three generations of women talking about

the world around us.

- I feel like a show like Red Table Talk

honestly couldn't have come at a better time because

you're tackling topics that are finally being talked about

and explored in a more in depth way.

You're talking about mental health, addiction,

emotional abuse, physical abuse.

And so with that said, where do you think a show

like Red Table Talk's place is within

those larger conversations?

- I think people are just ready to have a very

real conversation.

I think people in their own lives are wanting a safe place

where they can put the mask down and just go, okay.

Can I just have a very real conversation of

what it's been like to be in an abusive relationship?

What it's been like to feel insecure?

What it's been like to have loss?

What I felt like having to hear about,

or watch my mother be abused?

And so I think that just creating safe space where

we can be vulnerable, and specifically black women.

I don't think that we have a lot of open forums

where we feel safe enough to be vulnerable.

And even for me, that's part of my work on

Red Table Talk for me, specifically as Jada,

is being okay and embracing that more vulnerable

side of myself.

Because usually in the public,

I have given more of that harder shell Jada.

- Baltimore Jada.

- The Baltimore, you know,

just trying to shake that Baltimore.

(laughing)

It's taking me many, many years to get to that place.

And to also show the beauty of vulnerability

and so that's been a huge piece of messaging

and a huge healing area for me personally.

I would say for me, I had an emotional breakdown

that definitely, I feel like, effected my mental stability.

- Right.

- How has this show kind of, I guess,

opened you up professionally?

Because I think that you, I don't know if you knew all

along that you had this gift for conversations and

interviewing, and all of this stuff.

So how has this made you kind of reflect on your own career

and think like, wait a minute,

I'm not just an actor or singer,

I can actually do this?

Because you're really pushing the boundaries of what

you can do in a really impactful way.

- I really enjoy talking to people about life.

In all honesty, these are conversations I have driving

in the car with friends.

These are conversations I have around my kitchen table.

I just love having real conversations just about

what is going on with people and

what people are thinking about.

It did take a little training.

I must say, my activism in human trafficking helped me

with the interviewing part, having to sit down with

so many survivors of trafficking and

being sensitive to know how far to push,

and seeing and energetically feeling when enough's enough.

I would have to say that those women really showed me

how to have sensitive conversations and

how to interview because I had to sit down and

interview a lot of female survivors, a lot.

So I would say that my training really did come from there.

- In addition to Red Table Talk,

you are also have a whole slew of films that

you're working on and producing.

One in particular caught my eye and it's Hala.

- [Jada] Hala.

- Hala, and I feel like, I would love to hear a little bit

about this story itself because it sounds like a really,

really unique and beautiful story.

And even what's going on behind the scenes

with it is even better.

- What I love about it, about this particular movie,

is that women are leading the charge in front

of the camera and behind the camera.

Every department that we had on this movie was a woman.

- There was an inclusion writer attached to it.

- Yeah, we had an inclusion writer attached

to this particular film.

With all the activism I've been doing, as far as diversity

in Hollywood and just trying to walk that walk

through my projects.

So, like Regina, my girl, Regina King,

said on the Golden Globes (mumbles).

- I am making a vow and it's going to be tough

to make sure that everything that I produce

that is 50% women and I just challenge any one out there,

I challenge you to challenge yourselves and

stand with us in solidarity.

- She had that call of action, and I was like,

I got you, Regina, I got you!

- You're funny to have mentioned it.

- Glad you mentioned that, I got you.

- I was really good at keeping my troubles hidden.

- Even from your friends?

- Even from my friends.

- So where do you see Red Table Talk balancing out,

balancing out with the rest of your career,

because I think that, I don't know if you were surprised

by the success of it or you thought,

I knew all along it was gonna be something.

- Yeah, no.

- Because I think it's, obviously you have the films

that you're producing,

the films that you're acting in as well.

So where do you see this in everything

that you have going on right now?

- I really did see this as a passion project and

I did not expect this kind of response and

this kind of success with Red Table Talk.

But it's the one that I'm most passionate about.

It's like the forefront, where I was looking at this

to be more of like a hobby,

it's kind of taken the forefront of like, no,

this is the thing I wanna do.

And then everything else will probably fall into a hobby.

(laughing)

Movies will become more like a hobby.

- I love it.

Most people are like, oh, I'm just gonna take up tennis.

You're like, no, I want to sit down at a red table

with my family and have really deep conversations

that you're having.

- Yes, that was--

- Only Jada Pinkett Smith, all right.

- It was more like a passion project and

it was more like, oh, do it when you can,

do it when you want.

But yeah, I've been given the opportunity to do it

as much as I want and we really enjoy it.

It's what I enjoy most.

So in this part of my life,

it's like, just do what you love.

(fun rhythmic music)

Meghan Makle Royal - Meghan Markle Royal - Sweet nickname Meghan Markle is called by her mum - Duration: 2:40.

Lots of us have nicknames that have been given to us by our parents from when we were kids

Some of them are embarrassing, and others are just really sweet - and it turns out Meghan Markle has a nickname her mum still calls her by that's completely adorable

Doria Ragland has called Meghan by one name in particular since she was a little girl, which The Duchess of Sussex revealed on The Tig when she turned 35

She wrote: "My team and I thought it may be fun to turn the tables on me and have yours truly answer the very Tig Talk I crafted when I first started this site

"    In response to the question "My nickname is…" Meghan replied: "My nickname is Meg, MM, M&M, and Flower (which my mum has called me since I was little)

"  Adorable.   Prince Harry has previously admitted that he calls his wife Meg, while she calls him "my love"

And they're not the only ones with nicknames for one another.   Lots of members of the royal family have given each other all kinds of bizarre nicknames

According to royal sources, the Prince of Wales calls Meghan 'Tungsten', because, just like the super-tough metal, she's "tough and unbending"

Meanwhile the Queen has a very cute nickname from the younger royals, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte who reportedly call her 'Gan-Gan'

Prince Philip also has his own names for the Queen, and some of them are strange

Apparently the main nickname he uses for the love of his life is Lilibet , but he also occasionally calls her Sausage

Kate Middleton was given a funny childhood nickname from the class guinea pig.  Speaking during a visit to her old school St Andrews, in Pangbourne, Berkshire, she explained: "There was one called Pip and one called Squeak, so my sister was called Pip and I was Squeak"

Perspective! What It Is and Why It Matters - Duration: 3:48.

Hey guys, Natalie here.

I wanted to switch up what I've been doing the last couple weeks and make it more of

a learning experience.

The reason for that is I've recently discovered that my main purpose in life is to revolutionize

learning and how we see ourselves and the world.

What I've been doing is reflecting on my life and what I've been experiencing is that there

are a lot of things that feed into how we interpret the world around us, the actions

we take, the beliefs that we carry that we don't really realize are even impacting us.

They're kind of invisible forces if you will.

One of these things is perspective.

So it's my theme for the week and what I'm going to be talking about - I'm actually going to

be making a video every single day this week.

Like I've done in my other videos, I'm going to start with just the basic definition.

If you look this word up, there are a few definitions but the one that I am really targeting

here is perspective is a view point, an attitude that you have towards something.

So it's a very basic definition in a lot of ways.

The reason why I'm talking about it is because, in a lot of ways, again, it touches and impacts

almost everything that we do in a lot ways.

Let me give you an example.

If I came up to you on the street or you saw me in the grocery store and if I was wearing

a nice blazer a fancy outfit, looked very business, the way you would interact with

me would be very different than if I was in flannel, like I am today, and say, wearing

a beanie.

So for perspective, I'll put a beanie on.

If you saw me like this and you knew I was from Colorado, you would probably interact

with me very differently.

Now the reason for me saying this is, the way you're interpreting the way that I look

and the way that I dress doesn't change who I am, I'm still the same person before and

after when I put the beanie on.

I'm still the same person, I have all the same history, all the same intelligence, all

the same perspectives of the world, however when someone else sees me, they may see and

interpret this in a lot of different ways.

The way they interpret the way that I look is going to impact the way that they talk

to me, the assumptions they make about me and my life and my choices, how intelligent

I am, if they speak to me or not speak to me.

All of these things are impacted just by the way that I look and the way that someone puts

in perspective how I look in their mind.

The filters they use, the way they interpret the world.

As you can see, with this filter that we're constantly carrying, our brains are very naturally

wired to take this step and to label and to interpret what is going on around us.

It's a natural process.

It's very healthy for us to do.

The problem with it is that if we don't realize that it's happening, and we don't understand

how our perspectives are changing the way that we behave, and we're not in control of

it on any level, chances are that a lot of your behaviors are not going to be in line

with the way that you want to see the world.

They're not actually helping yourself move forward, they're not helping others move forward, and

they're limiting the experiences that we have.

That is why I am talking about this topic this week.

It is a huge, huge piece of our life and again, a lot of us don't really understand the way

that our mind works enough to impact our behavior.

And that's what I want to bring to your awareness this week.

I'm very excited to talk about this topic.

It's something that I have a lot of passion about and so I'm going to be releasing 5 videos

throughout the week.

They're not going to be very long but each one's going to have a different lesson or

different technique that we can use to start being in control of our perspectives, start

checking ourselves, making sure that, again, those automatic filters that are going on

in our minds are what we want them to be, not just what is automatically happening.

Stay tuned, I'm very excited to be releasing these and sharing these with your this week.

Let me know what you think.

Let me know what your thoughts are - I'd love to hear from you.

I'll talk to you guys soon.

Have a great week.

Rosa and the Boot and Hug it Out - Duration: 10:36.

(punchy music)

Rosa Ramirez.

Good morning.

Good morning, Rosa.

Rosa, you have a boot placed on your vehicle

and you have a boot placed on your vehicle

because there were 19 unpaid parking tickets.

That was on one registration.

It just so happens that you have five different

registrations so what do you want to tell me about this?

There's no excuse but the other cars

are not, they're mine under my name but I did

a favor for my friends.

How many friends?

Three.

Three friends.

Which means they couldn't get insurance

because they had issues so they put

the cars under you name.

So they your friends.

Supposedly.

We're gonna find out how friendly

they are to you, alright?

So they gonna give you the money to pay for these tickets?

I hope so.

Somehow Rosa, you called these other people

and said listen, I got these tickets.

You gonna help me pay for them?

So you're gonna find out how close friends they are.

Who lives on Dover Street, you?

Yes.

Well this, the Hyundai all the tickets

were overnight on Dover Street so those weren't

somebody else's, those were yours.

That's mines.

Let me tell you something,

the total amount, you know what the total amount is?

How much is it?

I don't know about the other tickets but I know.

2400 dollars.

2400 with penalties.

Now I waived the penalties so now the amount is 800 dollars

plus a 100 dollar boot fee so it's 930 dollars,

waiving all of the penalties and I reduced

a couple of the big tickets.

It's still 930 dollars so now you're gonna find out

how close your friends are if they can see

if they can give you the money.

So how much of that can you pay today?

To be honest, today I don't have no money at all

but I want to make a payment plan.

Yeah.

And what do you propose for a payment plan?

You tell me how much I can give weekly, I will do it.

You want me to tell you?

Yeah.

200 dollars a week.

No.

You can't pay, I know, so why am I telling you?

I can do 50.

Rosa, let me explain something to you.

Are these your children?

I see your children here.

These are parking tickets, I understand that

doesn't make you a bad person but it makes

you somewhat, a little irresponsible though.

It's nada.

I understand.

If I believe you and I do, I think not all of these

but other people have problems, they can't get their

car registered so they come and they see you

and you got a big heart so you register their cars for them.

That's what you told me, right?

But even on your car, Rosa, the one that you admit is yours,

you have 19 tickets, you didn't pay one.

No.

I'm, since I moved to the house,

I really messed up in my life

and to be honest,

I learned my job to because

two of my kids tried to commit suicide,

and I don't, I haven't had no,

no time to think.

You've been under a great deal of stress.

Even her, she's under depression

and I, my car is the only one.

How many children do you have?

Five.

Five.

I have a sense that you have some issues

that you're dealing with that are very serious.

So what I'm gonna do is, you are going to have to

pay the boot fee.

The boot fee is 100 dollars before I release the car.

Okay.

How much can you pay a week after that?

Being honest, I can do 50.

You can't do 50.

A hundred?

No, no, no, you can't do, if you can't do 50,

you can't do 100.

I want you to pay the hundred dollars

to get the boot released.

I want you to pay 20 dollars a week.

If you pay 20 dollars a week

for 10 weeks and you don't miss one week,

I'll dismiss the balance.

Do you understand what I'm saying to you?

Yes.

I want you to show me some responsibility

but I don't wanna smother you and give

you something that you can't do.

Alright, I know you got a good heart.

You wanna pay 50, a hundred, you can't afford to do that.

You gotta take food off the table for the kids,

you can't do it.

I know that, I understand that.

Do you understand?

Yes.

You gonna do it?

Yes.

(laughing)

Thank you.

Please, I beg you, I don't wanna take your car from you.

I don't want you to pay this money,

I want you to spend time with your kids,

whatever issues you have, I wanna help you with

but please help yourself.

Okay.

Okay?

Alright, see the court.

Thank you.

Rosa has a big heart and as a result,

she has five vehicles registered under her name

and at least three of them belong to friends of hers.

It's abundantly clear that Rosa has enough issues

to deal with within her own life that she

doesn't need the additional burden of being

legally responsible for her friends' cars as well.

If you are to ever ask to register a vehicle

for a friend, my advice is to politely refuse.

If they're a true friend, they'll understand.

Good luck, Rosa, we're all rooting for you.

Good morning, Your Honor.

Good morning, Marie.

Marie, you have two speeding violations.

One of them qualifies to be dismissed 'cause it was

one mile over what they're charging for

so I'm gonna dismiss that one.

Thank you.

And on the other, which is through the school zone

on Barkston Boulevard, you have two choices;

you can pay 50 dollars today or come back and have a trial.

I will reluctantly pay the 50 dollars.

You gonna pay 50?

I will.

Okay.

Can I make a comment, Your Honor?

Only if it's good.

(laughing)

The presumed violation was on the 14th of June,

which was a week and a half after the school

had already dismissed session.

I just think that's a revenue making camera,

just wanted to put that on the.

The ticket was issued on June 14th.

Yes, sir.

School, when does school get out?

I've been out of school for a while.

It was the week and a half before that, Your Honor,

it's, Lincoln is a private school.

Is that where it was, at Lincoln?

It was, yeah.

Lincoln School.

You'd make it easy for me if you brought

some documentation that Lincoln was not in session.

The, on the website, on the website.

Turn around, turn around.

This young lady has documentation, Your Honor.

The school.

(laughing)

The school calendar.

(laughing)

I'm gonna give her my fine, so.

Get your friend up here let's.

What was the date charged?

Give me the date again.

Have her explain it.

Assuming I read this properly, Judge,

there's a blank there on the 14th.

Have her explain it.

Okay so,

so this is a calendar for the end of May.

Inspector Quinn, you wanna have her check,

explain it to you?

And yes, it's a private school so it's not public school

and it shows that they get out at the end of May,

actually and if you go down to where June 14th is,

which coincidentally is the day,

well I'll see you later but the same day,

there's nothing, so there's not even any activities,

school had already been out for two weeks.

Okay, based on that, I'm gonna dismiss it.

May I give her a hug?

(laughing)

You're supposed to hug the judge.

(laughing)

I got to that park too.

Inspector Quin, do you need a hug?

From both of them, Judge,

I might as well go through it all but

are we gonna accept this then as the evidence?

Yeah.

Good work.

(light music)

Catherine Kimmel.

Good morning, Your Honor.

Good morning.

Catherine, you're charged with speeding

on Barkston Boulevard.

Yes.

Lincoln School June 12th when they were out of school.

Thank you to Rebecca.

(laughing)

Telling you, you guys should buy her something.

Absolutely.

(laughing)

Rebecca, you cost the city a lot of money today.

I know, I'm feeling terrible.

Inspector Quin's pension is being diminished

here by the minute.

Your Honor, we're in the process of towing

her vehicle right now.

(laughing)

The intent of the ordinance was to prohibit

the speed in school zones.

I have children, Your Honor, so I realize

how important it is but I can say,

(mumbling)

you know what, I'm not gonna say anything else.

No, you can talk, I made up my mind.

You're paying anyway.

(laughing)

School was not in session so refrustrates

the intent of the ordinance so the matter is dismissed.

Thank you very much, Your Honor.

Good work.

iOS 12.2 Beta 2 is Out! - New Animoji and More - Duration: 6:10.

hi everyone Aaron here for ZolloTech and today Apple released iOS 12.2 developer

beta 2 - this is available to developers and either bet public beta testers later

today or tomorrow normally it came in at three hundred and seventy four point

four megabytes on my iPhone XS Max let's take a look at the build number

now you can see the build is sixteen e five one nine one D and this particular

build actually does have a couple new features the first one being the actual

battery percentage is on the lock screen now so if you go to the lock screen

you'll see there's a battery percentage if we take a look at the previous build

you'll see there's no battery percentage there so there's a battery percentage on

the lock screen now then that part's really nice now there are a couple new

things such as an emoji so we'll talk about battery life and things like that

in a moment but let's talk about the features first so let's go into an emoji

now you can see there's four new an emoji we have a draft we have a shark we

have an owl and then we have a pig or a warthog so I think I kind of like the

shark so that's pretty neat we have four new ones so that's always nice to get

those added to the X the XS, XS Max and XR. so it appears they fixed group

FaceTime let me go into FaceTime and I'll add a call and I'll show you that

it works at least on beta 2 now I'm in the video color you can see it here and

on my iPad and now if I slide up I can add a person so now I can add myself

will add and you'll see it creates a group FaceTime call so we'll wait for

this and it should work and then it drops so maybe they haven't turned it on

on the server side but they've at least fixed it in the OS now something else

they've changed is in the control center so you can see right here we have a more

uniform airplay icon that's kind of all throughout now if we take a look at the

previous version you'll see here this is what it looked like before

so the actual previous version was a little bit different they've changed it

up quite a bit so that's nice to see them kind of make things more uniform

across the OS now the actual notes of the beta don't say really anything new

except that photo sharing using sharing suggestions might not load so if you go

into your photos and you share a photo from say CES here or something it may

not load properly seems to be working okay for me but for some users that may

be now the next thing is they've added a

new feature for Safari and that's to limit accelerate accelerometer and

gyroscope access in Safari so let me show you how that works we'll go to

settings and then if you go down to Safari here under Safari under security

you'll see motion and orientation access limitations so what we can do to show

you how that works is we'll go to a website now I'm at a website where you

can see there's a bunch of different balls in there of different shape and

color if I double tap you'll see different ones fall and they can be

motion based so if I tilt here and what this does is turns off that access so if

I turn it to this go back reload the page it should no longer allow me to do

that it won't pick up the motion or exit or the accelerometer or gyroscope built

into the iPhone so that's something that they've changed for privacy and security

reasons maybe it was a background bug or something like that now there's a new

hint for air pods too and that was pretty interesting because that was

found in a hidden place for setting up Siri when you're using the key word and

so it talks about new air pods that will allow you to use the keyword phrase to

actually activate it so it seems like those are coming out probably by the

time iOS 12.2 is released now battery life on

iOS 12.2 beta one was about the same as iOS twelve point one point three it was

not phenomenal you'll see I have a hundred percent capacity and yesterday

if we go to the last ten days I was at 20% at four hours and 16 minutes I'm a

virgin between four and six hours of screen on time with these betas

hopefully beta two is better but it takes a few days to know that for sure

so be sure to check back for the follow-up on that

now the actual speed of the OS seems to be nice and fluid and fast I did notice

that in some scrolling it seemed to be a little bit smoother for some reason I

don't know why why it feels that way but it does and overall it seems to be fine

so that part's good but it will take a few days to know if it's a little bit

better but that sort of contradicts what I found in Geekbench so let me show you

those scores now I ran it twice I ran it right after I updated then a little bit

later and I didn't see much of an improvement it probably will take a

couple days until we see that we see single pore was 4780 multicore

was 10863 so it's okay it's not as great as before if we take a look at the

history you'll see that it is not as good as it was before now that's pretty

much it for this particular beta other than maybe a modem change that's built

into the OS that they've changed the modem and we might see an update with

LTE and Wi-Fi now I haven't had any problems since this beta or anything on

LTE or Wi-Fi on any of my devices but I know a lot of you have and they've

commented that it's a big problem for you so I'd love to hear how it's going

for you after you've updated and used it for a few days I'd love to see that for

the follow-up and we can try and see if it's a little bit better on the older

devices I haven't really seen much of a difference or anything it seems about

the same scrolling is the same on the older devices you're not going to see

massive increases in speed or anything but they seem to be about the same and

again battery life on all of these should be pretty good compared to the

previous beta but that doesn't mean it's as good as say twelve point one point

two was for some people so for a lot of people it may be improved but we won't

know that for a few days but let me know what you think about it in the comments

below what your experience has been also I'll link the wallpaper as I always do

if you haven't subscribed already please subscribe and like if you enjoyed the

video as always thanks for watching this is Aaron I'll see you next time

Democrats' divisions bust open as 2020 primary heats up

Barely a month into the 2020 Democratic primary, rifts between the party's liberal and moderate

factions burst open this week - pried loose by an intraparty feud over health care and

taxes that could define the battle to take on President Donald Trump.

It started with Sen. Kamala Harris' comments at a town hall Monday that she backed eliminating

the health insurance industry in order to achieve Medicare for all.

Distancing herself from the proposal on CNN the next day, Sen. Amy Klobuchar cautioned

against immediately "Changing our entire insurance system where over half of Americans get private

insurance."

It wasn't just health care.

By the end of the week, Democratic contenders were sparring over taxes - specifically the

wave of proposals to soak the ultra-rich.

"I'm a little bit tired of listening to things that are pie in the sky, that we never are

going to pass, are never going to afford.

I think it's just disingenuous to promote those things.

You've got to do something that's practical," implored former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg,

himself a billionaire.

"Billionaires like Howard Schultz and Michael Bloomberg want to keep a rigged system in

place that benefits only them and their buddies," she shot back.

Though still gentle compared with the barbs traded by Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders

at the height of the 2016 primary, the week's skirmishes over health care and taxes have

come unexpectedly early to the 2020 contest, presaging a volatile year ahead.

And despite Democrats' focus on Trump's cratering public approval ratings, the week served as

a reminder of the party's own divisions, raising warnings about the prospect of improving Trump's

hand.

"We have no center in either party, and we have extremes in both parties," said Hank

Sheinkopf, a longtime Democratic strategist based in New York.

"I think it's good for the Democratic Party to decide where it is, what it wants, what

it values, and what's going to be the hallmark for the party going into 2020."

Yet Mike McCauley, an alumnus of former President Barack Obama's campaign and administration

and a Democratic strategist in South Carolina, said he's been surprised at how early the

policy debate has emerged - particularly when the field of candidates isn't even set.

"But when you have a field that's this open, maybe that's how you separate the wheat from

the chaff," McCauley said.

"Folks either step in the mud or they shine."

McCauley lauded Harris' decision to appear in the CNN town hall this week in Iowa - "I

think it took a lot of guts," he said.

McCauley predicted that the Harris campaign's decision to stick by her answer on Medicare

for all and eliminating the private health insurance market, while providing the context

that she's also backed less far-reaching bills in the Senate, would strike an early chord

not just on the far left, but beyond.

"Owning where you're at and who you are and not trying to quibble about it or turn tail

earns respect from people in places like South Carolina - or Iowa and New Hampshire, for

that matter," he said.

On Thursday, Sanders added to the early catalog of progressive policies coming out of prospective

presidential campaigns, introducing legislation that would expand the federal estate tax.

Sanders' office said his plan would raise $2.2 trillion by taxing estates of people

who inherit more than $3.5 million - far lower than the current $11 million threshold.

Sanders' proposal followed the release of Warren's "Ultramillionaire" tax proposal.

Harris has proposed an alternative tax break focused more squarely on middle-income earners.

Her plan would give a $6,000 tax break to families earning up to $100,000 annually.

Amid the policy push by progressives, Bill Bloomfield - a prominent California donor

who ran against former Democratic Rep. Henry Waxman as an independent in 2012 - said there's

an opening for a moderate Democrat like Bloomberg, whom Bloomfield plans to support if he runs.

The Democrats staking out progressive positions on health care and tax policies, Bloomfield

suggested, "Are fishing from a small pond."

Meanwhile, Bloomfield said that Bloomberg's plainspoken, practical approach, combined

with his positions on gun control and the work he did to help elect Democrats in the

2018 midterms, give him areas where he can appeal to a broader Democratic electorate

and become a surprise in Iowa and New Hampshire.

He also sees the Republican-turned-independent-turned-Democrat former New York mayor as the most formidable

challenger to Trump in the general election.

"If I were Donald Trump," Bloomfield said, "I would hope like heck that the nominee isn't

Michael Bloomberg."

Among progressive Democrats in the top tier of the 2020 field, policy differences on issues

ranging from health care to taxes and climate change are relatively minor, and so far they

have drawn less attention than potential candidates' biographies.

Michael Ceraso, a Democratic strategist who worked on the presidential campaigns of Sanders

and Obama, said Democratic voters in 2020 are more likely to consider a candidate's

record than any policies they propose.

"I think it's the past that is going to be evaluated a lot harder than these Senate bills

that folks are introducing now to try to get some media attention," he said.

The week also showcased Democratic unity when Schultz announced that he was considering

an independent run for president.

Fearful that a third-party candidacy could siphon votes from the Democratic nominee,

potentially handing Trump a second term, Democrats of every stripe piled on Schultz this week,

relentlessly criticizing the former Starbucks chief executive.

"He's kind of uniting the Democrats," said Sean Bagniewski, chairman of the Polk County

Democrats in Iowa.

"So the people who maybe felt they were far apart on health policy or tax policy are now

all kind of agreeing that we don't like the way that he's attacking us."

On that issue, he said, "You almost see all the different factions uniting."

125 - The Shutdown and What We Can Learn From It - Duration: 6:06.

So today what I want to do is put you in a thought experiment of what if your government

shutdown happened?

Now I don't know what your government shut down might be.

In this thought experiment let's think it through.

Let's say one of your banks called the primary line of credit you use in your business.

So now every touch of income you were able to take from the business now has to go toward

aggressively paying down that credit line so that they will make you bankable again.

What's another one?

Major vendor, like somebody that fulfills a great deal of what you need for your customers

goes out of business, keeps your deposits, takes your money, and now you're left scrambling.

By the way, for those of you not listening who are not business, or those of you who

are listening, you're not not listening.

Those of you who are listening who are not business owners could have some difficulty

relating to this, but these are all things that that person whose name is on the door,

who's signature is on the lease or on the mortgage of that building, they're dealing

with these things all the time.

You have a major employee that does a great deal of business development for your company

leave, go work for the competitor.

You see all those things are things that we are prone to every single day.

So, what would be some basic tenants that we should have in place in our finances?

And I'm going to go to the super basic tenants, even those tenants that are espoused by financial

entertainers that we otherwise don't fully agree with.

And we've even debunked some of their math here on the podcast, but let's just talk about

those first steps of what you should be doing financially to put your financial house in

order.

Well, one of the first is to make sure that we minimally have three months of expenses

in the bank.

Let's think about that for a moment.

That doesn't need to be three months of your income right away.

It just needs to be three months of your expenses.

So, if your expenses are $15,000 a month, that's $45,000, it should be set aside.

If your expenses are $20,000 a month, it's 60, if it's 10, it's 30 and so on.

And what I would have you do is have your real expenses, your real spending for the

last three months, not your bare bones expenses for three months, like if you had to cut to

the bone and recover all that.

This should be your real spending for the last three months should be in cash.

The next thing you should have in place is over time, build up to one year of liquidity.

Now, one year of liquidity will be one year of your expenses, three months at that level.

That's just like you're living right now.

And then the other nine months, that can be income that's set aside with your bare bones

budget if you need it to.

Now, here's why.

Certainly if you had three months to adjust, you could sell a car, you couldn't downsize

a home that quick, but you could say, "Okay, we're not going out to meals anymore, we're

canceling the vacation that we were going to go on," et cetera.

If it really got dire, and you needed to hold on for an entire year, what else would you

have to have done?

Well, the simple things around your protection.

We've talked about this nearly to exhaustion on the podcast, but the reason we keep bringing

it up is you're never going to hear it from the traditional financial media.

The traditional financial media doesn't want to go through and revisit that you should

have your car insurance, homeowner's, wills and trusts, all that stuff squared away.

That you should have the appropriate amount of disability insurance, life insurance.

And you should because by the way, one of those things being unable to work due to sickness

or injury or death of the primary breadwinner, the death of the non-primary breadwinner,

the person that's the CEO of your household could greatly impact household cash flows

and act as your government shut down.

You see, what we have to do is protect ourselves across the board so that moat needs to be

dug.

We have plenty of podcasts on that from everything from life insurance to protection.

If you're having trouble finding those, email us at info@sfgwa.com.

So, you've got at least short term cash.

One Year of cash.

You should have a midterm bucket.

If you've not heard in the bucket conversations, just go to whatever you listen to podcasts,

go to our podcast, type in buckets.

It will come up.

That bucket's podcast will talk about the importance of a midterm bucket.

Most people, what they do is they fund short term bucket, then they fund long term bucket

and that's it.

And they have these two polar opposites like I need some money in case of an emergency

right now, and then I also need some money when I'm old, and that's one of the biggest

breakdowns people have because there's lots of reasons why you might need capital more

than just a year of living expenses between now and age 65, and we go into that deeper.

So, so far we have three months liquidity to start, one year liquidity of more cut back

expenses.

Then we also need to be in a position that we have some midterm bucket money with a moat

dug.

So those are our kind of first four steps covering our basis for the basics.

And now let's think about what happens to a household in a government shutdown or whatever

your government shut down

might be.
