Bible Study Spiritual Maturity and Lukewarm Living | Study the Bible with Me

so Luke chapter 11 verses 14 through 28 so in verse 14 Jesus cast out a demon

from a man who couldn't speak and when the demon was gone the man could speak

again verse 15 it said one person from the crowd well no wonder he can cast out

demons because he has Satan's power which we know was not true so then in

verse 17 jesus replied and he said if my power was from Satan

then why would I be here to undo Satan's work which makes sense

verse 23 anyone who isn't with me opposes me so this is where I start to

think about lukewarm living so if you've never heard of the phrase lukewarm

living then it really just talks about not choosing one side or the other when

it comes to your walk with Christ you think about lukewarm it's neither hot

nor cold somewhere in the middle so when God comes into our life he wants us to

be on fire for him completely hot he does not want us to be in the middle

kind of one foot in the world in one foot in the kingdom so then he and it's

I it doesn't surprise me that in verse 24 he goes on to talk about someone who

had a demon possessed and when the demon left them the house was empty and was

well-kept and then the story talks about the demon coming back and bringing more

spirits with them to make the person worse off than they were before when

evil and evil desires leave someone we must replace it with God if we just

leave our soul and our hearts empty then it gives it leaves us open to the

attacks of the enemy we'll come back and you will be so much worse off than you

were but if you replace that with the light of God and with Jesus and then in

things in your life that you feel like God wants you to change is there

something in your life that you feel like

I was telling you that you need to walk away from and that you need to change

because it's hurtful to your relationship with Christ and I know that

sometimes it's not always easy is there anything in your life that you feel like

God is convicting you of but you haven't done yet God doesn't want us to be in

the middle he wants us to live fully a hundred percent for him

revelation 3:16 says so because you are lukewarm neither hot nor cold I will

spit you out of my mouth I definitely have areas in my life that God is

convicting me of and it is so and it's been a really long journey for me to

change I'm not saying that it's easy I'm just saying it's a journey and God

understands that we're not perfect and we're not gonna get it right the first

time and you know decide to change and then be perfect for the rest of our

lives he understands our human nature and he's you know sympathizes with us

but that doesn't grace doesn't give us an excuse to live however we want just

because we know that God is going to forgive us we should love God enough to

want to change and want to stop the sin that we know he's convicting us of and

to live for him a hundred percent I think that's when spiritual maturity

starts so I feel like now is the time when we all need to choose who are we

living for are we living for Christ or are we in the world and I think this is

a huge question of what aren't my motives are my motives for getting

something from God for blessings or am I trying to love other people and stop

thinking about myself and doing things for other people in order to bring them

So I will be using FACE PAINT

Without further ado, let's start!

The first thing I will do is put on my headband, so my hair does not get dirty because... NO!

So I will start with the pink, which is the contour. Let's see how it goes

Now I have to add purple, let me look for it

I will use this purple

I have to do a really thin line, I will try, I don't think I will make it

This is going from bad to worse

Next, it's a bit of white

But I'll do the greenish blue first

Like a greenish blue which is darker in the corners and bright in the middle

I don't know how to do that but let's try

I have two tones of blue and one green, let's do what we can

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE FAILTURE

Still, I will add the last element, which is the white, to see if it can fix something

I will apply up here and in the middle
