You know
I found a Pink Dot flyer in your brother's room.
Oh.
Is he gay?
Really? I wouldn't have known at all.
You know already.
When?
How?
He told you?
When?
Some time ago.
Ma.
When you are ready, he will tell you.
I'm surprised you agreed to meet me again.
I thought you only like Chinese guys.
Maybe my taste is changing?
Who are you?
We've only just begun.
Wait, is that a Carpenters reference?
Yes, yes.
Makes me want to take you home and find out more.
Your family lets you bring guys home?
Actually, no.
But my whole family's out tonight.
Oh.
That's convenient.
You sure?
But...
But what? You don't have to if you don't want to.
Hey, not so fast.
I haven't even decided yet.
What's going on?
Just relax.
Is this some elaborate booty call?
Sort of.
I... considered what you asked for, and thought,
why not?
You okay?
You want to try another position?
Okay.
Slowly.
Slowly.
Ah! Ow!
Fuck, fuck.
Ah, ow.
Are you okay?
Sorry, this is not what I had in mind.
I'm sorry.
I didn't mean to hurt you.
This was a bad idea. Forget about it.
No, no, no. We should -
we should try again.
We can do this.
Come on.
I love you so much you can top me all you want.
You love me?
You have a lot of interesting things.
Uh-huh.
Oh, I like this book.
Sorry, I'm nervous.
Want me to put on some music?
No, it's okay.
What's wrong? Too fast?
No.
Yes, wait.
I have something to confess.
Oh?
I lied about only liking Chinese guys.
Why would you do that?
It's my defence mechanism.
Defence mechanism?
Hey, have I ever told you that I volunteer for AFA?
What's AFA?
Action for AIDS.
Oh, those are the guys that do that testing thing right?
Yeah, what about it?
I'm...
positive.
What, you mean like your personality?
Oh.
Do you want me to go?
Hi, everyone.
Today, you'll get to meet the special people in my life.
My mom, who has been with me since day one.
And a special friend, AJ, who I go to when I need advice.
As most of you know, I have been living with HIV for over 8 years now
and I couldn't have done it without the support of my mom.
I love you.
I love you too. I will be there for you always.
Often, we don't want to hurt our moms by telling them what we are going through.
But one of the key struggles in our community is mental health.
If you're having a bad day or experiencing suicidal thoughts,
you shouldn't have to deal with it alone.
Start by building a support system around you.
If you don't have one, reach out to the Pink Carpet Service team
and they'll link you to various services in our community.
Be it a friend, colleague, doctor, social worker, or relatives,
just by simply saying, "I'm having a bad day."
You'll be surprised at what kind of help you will receive.
You are not alone, and there are many support services you can talk to,
such as Oogachaga, The T Project and SGRainbow.

Yeah.
Well, Mommy, do you have anything you want to share with our friends
and also other people living with HIV?
When parents
learn that their child is HIV positive
or homosexual,
they will find it hard to accept.
This is because they are worried about
what their family and friends may think.
And what their child's future will be like.
But I want to tell everyone
there is no difference between homosexuality and heterosexuality.
The only thing that's different is their sexual orientation.
Homosexuals can also lead happy lives
as long as we can accept
and understand them.
Also,
HIV is a disease, not a crime.
We shouldn't condemn people living with HIV.
We should help them through this challenge
so they can have long, healthy lives.
Don't suffer in silence.
Stand tall.
Well said.
If you need more information on what your child is going through,
there is an organisation called SAFE
where moms can talk with other moms about their children's sexuality.

Right. That's all the time we have today.
Remember to
See you next episode. Bye!
