Why Liverpool got Barcelona star Luis Suarez for so cheap during Kenny Dalglish spell - Duration: 2:48.
Liverpool signed Suarez from Ajax back in January 2011 after losing Fernando Torres to Chelsea
Torres had chosen to swap Anfield for Stamford Bridge in a huge £50million transfer - making him the UK's most-expensive footballer at the time
Liverpool landed Andy Carroll from Newcastle but also followed that up by signing Suarez on the cheap
The Uruguay international touched down on Merseyside for £22.7m from Ajax and went on to be money well spent
The 32-year-old spent three-and-a-half years at Anfield. And, during that time, he came close to delivering the Premier League title that Liverpool supporters crave
In today's climate, Suarez would cost a staggering amount. But ESPN say the Reds were able to sign the striker for so cheap because of his discipline problems
At the time of the transfer, Suarez was banned from Dutch football for biting an opponent
Trending But Ajax were wary of the player's price dropping given his on-field conduct issues
As a result, Liverpool were able to land him on the cheap and the rest is now history
Meanwhile, Suarez recently praised Liverpool for their stunning season under Jurgen Klopp
But he stopped short of saying if whether or not he would seal a stunning return
"Currently we work for two different clubs so that's not an issue for me at the moment," he said
"But sure every player would like to train under Jurgen Klopp. "Anyone who has ever played in Liverpool remains connected to the club for a lifetime
"The team plays terrific football and I am very interested in how they will do this year
"I think we can still be prepared for a lot."

SO MESSY! OMG!? | Mystery Art Box | Paletteful Packs Unboxing | Charcoal, Charcoal, and Charcoal! - Duration: 21:38.
hello everybody! - today I'm opening up another Paletteful Packs Premier box!
it's super-heavy and I'm really excited to see what's inside
♪
maggots
oh and check a link in the description I'm gonna be forwarding this
box to one of you guys in a giveaway - so check that out if you're interested
I'll have a link to the rules and everything down there
this is jam-packed - yikes! - okay well the
first thing in here is uh uh I don't know
oh here I found the English
okay it's two sketching crayons in white - also in the
box I see a Derwent charcoal green moss pencil
the primo euro blend charcoal pencil kit with a sharpener, a black
eraser, a white charcoal pencil, and three which I assume... okay one is HB one is B and
one is 3B - I think I know what the theme for this box is [giggle]
is this more pencils?
wait..what is this?
the clutch pencil set - oh there it is, it is on the other side -
it was upside-down
Oh it comes in a little tin, nice
there it is
geez, this pencil comes with instructions ?!
"to sharpen: twist - to load: click."
I think
make sure I don't lose that mm-hm
there's a kneaded eraser oh it's a nice squishy one
oh but it looks kind of
sticky oh! - oh dear - get back in there for now
then this
crazy pencil oh it's heavy so I believe
this is the lead [graphite] holder and then these
are the leads I think all three of them are 2B so they're all the same
so you
just stick one
oh here we go okay I figured it out
...
nope, maybe not
one second here - technical difficulties
to load........?
uh-huh oh!!!!
okay that's actually - so it opens and expands
let me stick your [graphite] in there and then you let go of it and it closes tightly
see that?
wow
and then to sharpen just twist this and then turn this over and it
should be a sharpener yeah interesting
I think right now, my pencil is sharp enough - don't need
to worry about that - there is a lot of stuff in here! what is this?
the biggest
blending stump and another kneaded eraser?!
wooo!
so this is the art alternatives
drawing tool set - it's nine pieces
there's something metal in there, a weird
cardboard-y thing, some blending stumps, what looks like a cloth, and a kneaded eraser
I don't know how you use some of these things - these are all new to me - like what
it what is this?
so we have two blending stumps and these I think are called 'tortillions'
or they're maybe blending stumps too, but they're just
like paper that's been wrapped around to a point -- this looks like some kind of
cloth, maybe you use it to smudge things??
that's what that looks
I know what this is!
this is a kneaded eraser - I could tell you this is the kind that I like
I've noticed - a quick little tip here - my favorite kneaded erasers are the ones
that usually come from the less expensive brands - yes love it okay this I
actually have no idea what it is but it's like some sa- oh! that's
sandpaper! so it's like a bunch of layers of sandpaper stapled to this MDF, maybe
you can use it to sand your drawings?? I don't know when that would be necessary
and then lastly there's this little thin, is that aluminum? do they have a name for this? it's an
erasing shield - so I assume use this that you can erase a small section without
touching your hand to the rest of the drawing? maybe? or so you can get like
a specific shape - that's everything in there that's the nine piece drawing
tool set - all right here we have some vine charcoal whatever that is oh okay
so there's like little crunchy --- you hear that? hear that crunch?
they're little tiny sticks of
charcoal this is gonna be a mess I can already-like I've already got graphite on
my hands - we haven't even started using this stuff yet
okay and then lastly it looks
like there's a big chunk of paper in here
there's the menu of course listing
all the supplies
'bee paper 'it's a 'nine by twelve, seventy-pound brown recycled sketch paper'
look how much is in there
along with some confetti
it looks like Steve from stranger things for some reason
100 percent recycled
brown-toned - that looks like that paper that comes in like Amazon boxes
this is actually gonna be really really fun because if you have like dark colors and
then we also have light colors and when you have a mid-toned, paper you can draw
with both light tones and dark tones
this is gonna be exciting! okay
first thing I
want to test out is this it's kind of funny that we got two kneaded erasers
let's try out this pencil holder with a chunk of lead
so these primo charcoal
pencils they're kind of like some other pencils I've used in the past, where when
you draw with them it feels like you're drawing with dirt like the texture is
just so fun I can't I can't even explain it really
you just feel the grip
wowsers
okay this one doesn't feel quite as chalky but look at that pigment mmm
gorgeous
nice diarrhea green
or I guess 'green moss'
ooh we didn't try these uh white crayons
probably should use the broken one
wow
precision smudging level 100, nice!
and you have your blending stump and I think this is the chamois, or something
well that really helps you blend out to like nothing that's actually kind of
cool - so it's kind of like smudging it with your finger - what is this?
sandpaper pointer how does one use this? oh I can feel people laughing at me
right now
how to use a sandpaper pointer
Google"here's a matching video"
okay so you use this to sharpen like a pastel or crayon or something like this
or you can also use it to clean an eraser so like if this eraser had a bunch
of white on it you could do that
hey thanks Google
more importantly
thank you 'ehow arts and crafts'
but this thing I assume you like... see where you
get a perfect circle
hey hey see if that worked better? --
not sure when you would need this? but good to know it's in our Arsenal right so
these are all the art supplies in the January Premier Paletteful Packs box, now
that I've tested them all out and I kind of have a feel of how they all work now
it's time to try and create an illustration with them but before I dive
in and obviously make an illustration and I'm going to need to have to come up
with an idea and the way I do that is by using thumbnails I'm gonna start with
this thing cuz it's just what I'm fascinated by and it's most like a
pencil so I think it'll be the easiest to erase because it is just a 2b pencil
and I just sort of start sketching it's very important in the beginning stages
not to like worry about making anything perfect
or even worry about having the perfect idea because you just want to draw and
eventually a mistake might lead you in the right direction so in that way, there
really isn't a way of making a mistake
some reason I'm getting Ballerina
vibes like a sad, sad, tear-y eyed ballerina - since we have a lot of dark
tones I'm really trying to focus on using those even in this really simple
thumbnail - not a very graceful ballerina
♪
here's another little tip for you if you're having trouble with like Anatomy
or the muscles, go on Pinterest and search ballerina action shots or you know
ballerina warm-ups and you'll get a ton of really good references for sketching
and learning that Anatomy
again we have a very limited color palette so I'm
trying to take that into account
there is a little bit of glare - that's what it looks
like for me [giggle]
is that better? yay? nay? let me know.
if we did like a
figure skater then we could play with like the white for snow
alright, now I'm gonna
blend that out see what that looks like - again we're still just playing with
the supplies and so I honestly have the most fun when I'm just drawing little
doodles and playing with supplies and making a mess
don't think
it has to be a masterpiece just have fun with it
I really like the way that looks
it's like fog woo
what if there's like a beam of light hitting her, so let me fill that in
let me try that out
and just pull away from it - I also can't forget that we have this green moss
color - I'm gonna have to remember that - I keep forgetting
♪
try an eraser here
erase some stuff
that's what you do with an eraser isn't it?
yeah throw some white in here somewhere
we'll just continue to play around with this it's kind of feeling a little bit
more like paint than I expected because you sort of like put down your colors
and then you sort of blob it out with this puppy mm-hmm
and then you get a nice
even blending between the two colors and then you know it starts to look like
that- anywhere you think that there should be more lights hitting it, you add the
pencil and then sort just blend out the edges a bit tone, it down - can add some
highlight to the knee and like the thigh and you blend that out
and try to erase around the edges, clean it up a bit
pretty sure a ballerina would never have their hands spread out like that but I think,
it looks kind of cool
now this ended up being a ballerina again [giggle] even
though it's kind of in a figure skater pose - just so I'm kind of
thinking it'll be darker as it goes underneath her body there
you can blend some of
those just a bit more of a gradient so I always start with you know testing out
the supplies like that, but that can only take you so far - when you start actually
drawing something with it that's when you start getting a feel for how these
tools interact with each other and how you can use them to get different
effects and yeah so this was a lot more fun way of doing basically this exact same thing
I keep forgetting to use the green!!!
we try one last thing here before
I move on to the full-size drawing
it's giving me a really like retro Hollywood
glam vibe, the black and white - mmm I just want to try something
♪
there we go, I got that out of my system -
yeah still.. didn't use the green,
so messy!!
this is why I was a digital artist for the longest time because it's like just---
oh...
it goes all the way down my arm!?!
I just--
good grief!
alright let's do this
got like the head - the eyes would be here like
a nose and arm maybe
a nice long swan neck like it's Swan lake!
and maybe we'll add some
feathers for more 'Swan-ness'
now armpits I find tremendously difficult there's just
so much weird flesh huddled about you know?
this really big chunk of [graphite] is
making it easy for me to be really loose and like not worry too much about the
details because you really can't draw details when your pen is this thick so
that's actually being very helpful
is that part come down there...? like that?
She probably should
be wearing some kind of clothes, aye?
let's move this ear over, that might help
kind of annoyed that I didn't leave enough
space for the hand cuz I was kind of excited about drawing that like you know
the hand [giggle]
alright so I think the first thing I'm going to do is go with
highlights because those seem to just disappear, so it seems like a good thing
to start with it to try and figure out where all the brightest points will be
maybe the feathers will be all white
you don't have to be super detailed about
this because most of the detail comes from the charcoal at least that's been
my experience so like the black charcoal that's what
I'm trying to say
something like that
okay next I want to add the darkest tones
filling anything that should be very very dark like the nostrils!
not gonna be a lot of light in there unless she's at the doctors or something
blend out some of the places where I put a little too much you know? I know I said
I wanted a long neck but I think I drew too long of a neck you know
probably. - some places need to be even darker
than that, but I can blend out like the edges of them I might fill in her whole
outfit white,
blend blend blend blend blend blend blend blend
like that
and then blend it out, is that the right side? yeah so I think we've
got one side that I'm using for the darker and once I've been using the
lighter that I had used for the darker earlier but I had to like clean it so
I'm very careful because that's a very difficult thing to do
oh that looks like
a bionic arm
I went a little overboard but that's okay we have an eraser
erase some of the parts that need to be a little lighter but not quite you
know fully white - and then we could probably blend that again
we could proabably use green
maybe shade a bit back here and that might pull away from the bionic arm look
or it might make it worse
not seeing much of a difference actually
lets try add some here see what
that does all right now this arm which I
accidentally left for last, which I shouldn't have , because it's way up there
so I'm gonna end up smudging
everything but we'll be careful - so let's see there will probably some
shadows hereish
and this area and then trying to be really light on it cuz I
went a little overboard and some of the other places so i don't want to do that
again cuz I want a lot of the toned paper to show through and I think
that'll help stay away from that metallic look that we had
a little down
here, smudge-a-rooni!
I need to blend this - oh, thats green, i want the black
where's my blendy stick?
trying to make the toned paper show through in some areas here instead of the white
and that should help with the metal look
lets try and shade the face a little more
here - so under eye shadow - under the lips- I'm just kind of using whatever's left
over on this blending stump - thats good enough
oh I can also color in
the eyes white
it's just so much stuff everywhere
I'm gonna blend out the
bottom half of the feather, like that so there's a little bit of
something-something and then I'm gonna grab the white charcoal pencil sharpen
it so I have a point and then add some
extra feather texture with that - ooh that looks kinda cool! actually I might do that
on both sides
add some more feather textures so that the suit or her outfit doesn't look so
simple like maybe there's more going on than meets the eye
alright I'm feeling a really strong urge to fill the whole thing in with the
black charcoal - maybe at least around here because over
here we have the dark hair let's just see what happens
where's the softest lead here oh boy! - add a first layer down figure out
where I want it - give it a little quick blend
let's try to add some more over on
this side though even it out
and then what I wanted to do is take like the white pencil and outline some
things that kind of get lost - maybe she's got some glitter on her face too which
means it gets everywhere [giggle]
we can blend a couple of these so they're not quite as
like obvious
can actually use the green and shade the white, aye! :D
it's a little less harsh
you know they using black, and then I can actually probably draw some more feather
textures on that
there we go
what do you think? what's your opinion?
Im trying to think if there's anything else I can do...? i'm liking that
i'll add a little highlight underneath the chin here or a cheek
there we go
this is a lot of fun I think what I really like about it is that it's an art
supply that's kind of difficult to get details so when I say that it means that
I can just sort of play around with it and I can really work on like my shading
and like trying to get that sort of muscle tone which I think this may be
the best armpit I've ever drawn
so yay!
and I love how you can work on tones
like the light colors and the dark colors and then the mid-tone and see
where those work well together and like how I was getting that like metallic
texture on this arm over here I was learning that was because I had very
different darks to lights like there was no mid-tones in there and then when I
introduced the mid-tones, It started looking a little bit more like flesh so

geckos like to climb up and sit at the top so I need to figure out a better way
to make those a little bit higher and I'm also really interested in making him
a bioactive setup I just don't know a ton about it so I need to do more
research if anybody knows a lot about bioactive
crested gecko tanks then please give me some information or leave me some links
that would be really helpful so I've just gone ahead and made the hamsters
extras for tonight they get some romaine lettuce cauliflower and then some
scrambled egg
have you seen something cuter I don't think so
look at those ears wiggle
and here we have Tater Tot's
little salad look at tater tot she's getting her little lettuce tater tots
seems to be a fan favorite everybody loves Tater Tot, I also love Tater Tot
but I definitely love all of my hamsters equally they each have a special place
in my heart but for some reason everybody just seems to love tater tot
maybe it's because she looks like a potato maybe it's because of her tiny
size I don't know. Oh she's eating the little piece of cauliflower aw your cheeks
are so full hon she's such a good climber and hider she has all these burrows
all over the place with it absolutely amazes me like did you see her she went
over there and came out here
hi honey she goes in the corner behind her silent
runner and she loves to dig and groom herself it's really adorable but I can't
fit the camera to be able to show you guys which really sucks so here is
honey's salad or extras as well what are you doing I just gave you your stuff
mm-hmm
scrambled egg look at that eye she's enjoying it so much
hi so I just have my three terracotta pots here that have wheat grass growing
out of them and I wanted to give them to the hamsters mm-hmm is that good
you're so small you can literally fit in the pot you're so cute
so I hope you guys have enjoyed today's vlog and thank you so much for watching

Why Do BMW Depreciate So Much? - Duration: 9:38.
so you're in the market for a used BMW but you wonder why these cars depreciate
so fast I'm going to explain it to you now welcome back to the channel I'm your
buddy mark with exotic car play place and today so we talked about BMWs and a
lot of other premium German brands and we wonder why we see a lot of cars like
this going on the used car market for supremely cheap dollars and you have to
ask yourself why is the depreciation so aggressive on those cars look at the BMW
world when I peruse the autotrader.com site it doesn't take long to find tens
of thousands of used BMWs on the market for sale any given day and a lot of that
has to do with several things one of them being of course there's just such a
supply and not enough demand there aren't enough people buying these cars
so you have to present good quality well-maintained cars to begin with just
to be competitive the other factor is over 50% of the BMWs and Mercedes Audi's
are leased more than 50 percent so after three years of lease when the lease is
up ultimately wind up with an owner who decides to sell the car off get rid of
it let it go because they realize after lease is up and after warranty's expired
they often might be faced with a lot of reliability issues replacement parts and
maintenance associated with a hundred and fifty thousand dollar car to be in
line and commensurate of that type of car you would expect a large dollar
amount to buy a part why well part of it because they're built in lower
production part of it because a lot of these parts are shipped from Germany
that costs you money yeah maybe it's just a mirror maybe it's just an oil
filter but those parts often are shipped overseas via boat plane whatever it is
that cost money the shipping cost money sure some of those parts are higher
quality but unfortunately it's the shipping that kills you there the other
thing is did you realize statistically 35% is law
on depreciation on your average used car or new to used car
well German cars are tend to be a little higher because it's a luxury item and
because it's a luxury item it's not unbasic necessity of life and as such a
hundred and fifty thousand dollar car is going to lose more than thirty five
percent on average then a twenty thousand dollar Honda so they talk about
percentage depreciation sure the Honda comes out looking rosy but in reality
it's the initial cost of that car when it was purchased and sold new another
reason why these BMWs depreciate so hard is because the cost the cost associated
with all this maintenance in parts isn't just because of the parts it's because
of the specialists the technicians have you ever been to a local BMW dealership
lately have you not noticed those gentlemen walking around in white lab
coats and their four booklets and they walk along like a scientist there's a
personification that they have to present a professional image but it's
goes more than just presentation of that image a lot of these technicians have to
go to BMW school or Audi school or Benz school because it goes way beyond normal
typical mechanical knowledge of your typical Ford or even your basic Honda's
or your Chevrolet's or any of those types of brands are often a lot less
complex these German cars particularly BMW are very very complex cars because
they're so complex these technicians not only have to get the basic fundamental
training that most pop Prentis mechanics go through and learn the basics these
fine folks have to go through special training to learn how to deal with a lot
of the extensive complexities that you'll find associated with these BMW
cars and so ultimately the expensive costs for parts because shipping
overseas the additional training for the technicians that all gets handed down to
the consumer initial price of purchase goes up and of course people become a
little skeptical because they know the complexity of these cars are so intense
they become afraid to purchase these cars
as a result a lot of these cars stay in the market people don't buy them and a
lot of times gravitate to simpler cars cars you know from the Toyotas and the
Honda's and they'll even the Lexus as a premium brand is still a simpler car
even though they have a lot of electronics in them these days are not
the same level of complexity that you'll find in the BMWs or any other German
brand for that matter now you have to remember the Germans are just a strong
engineering culture and so a lot of these cars particularly BMWs are created
built engineered by people that aren't satisfied with a basic nut and bolt you
have to find waste for that nut and bolt to work even better so they have to
re-engineer and then when they're done reengineering it then they over engineer
it so with a belief that you know we'll build it even better stronger faster
sometimes unfortunately they neglect the reliability of it they look at the
function the form follows function a lot of times with the German cars like the
BMWs and therefore they get them a lot more focused and zoned in on the way
these parts work together how its engineered the performance the sound and
how it's all pieced in one nice marvelous package
unfortunately they sort of at times forget about the Rd and at times forget
about some of the simplistic parts of being reliable after all think about
where BMW came from and a lot of the technology now you see in everyday
humdrum mundane cars like you'll find in you know generic little cars that cost
twenty thousand dollars a lot of that technology like the displays and the
touchscreens and a lot of these additional safety features like airbags
you know 20 different airbags in a car and Lane Assist and pedestrian warning
systems where do you think a lot of that came from how about airbags a lot of
that came from German engineering which ultimately then over a few generations
trickled into the mainstream and of course all the other brands picked up on
that so it's all of this injection of engineering and being ahead and
state-of-the-art pause money that money that Rd goes into complexities
complexities that aren't always worked out
they're not always perfect when they come out in the first and second third
generations look at the iDrive system in the BMWs the first early generations
were sloppy they were intense and you needed a rocket scientist to navigate
through that system so of course those complexities aren't always perfect and
when they fail and they do often it gets very very expensive so as a result
there's track records people recognize that they get shy they don't want to buy
those cars therefore a lot of those cars stay on the market the used cars that
coupled with the fact that tons and tons of lease returns come back in the tens
of thousands yearly flood the market three four or five year old cars
flooding the market on top of the older cars that are been sitting there for
quite some time that all contributes to the strong depreciation after all people
again they get feared for expensive maintenance which isn't that far from
the truth are they unreliable well there's a lot of reliable BMWs that
don't cost a lot of money to own and operate I have some I've owned some
myself but unfortunately there are some very complex BMWs that have a bad
reputation for extremely expensive maintenance and poor reliability coupled
together which created just massive fear by the consumer and so that reputation
precedes itself and unfortunately spills over to a vast majority of the lineup
and as a result prices go down and sumers run away and of course used cars
have to go down in price you want to sell your car you want to exchange hands
you want to buy a new car you're trying to sell your used BMW you have to make
it palatable for the next buyer good service records
low mileage premium cars are often bought or a very good deal because of
the fear and the expensive repairs associated with these BMWs so everybody
I really hope I shed some light for you there BMWs great brand some phenomenal
values there in the used car market they represent some of the best cars out
there for the bang for the buck so do Benz and some outies as well but know
that you've got to do your shopping you have to buy car that's going to be
reliable for you and you make sure you get good values everybody
I really hope you enjoyed that commentary please make sure you drop me
a line subscribe thumbs up and I hope that shared some light on the whole
concept of why BMWs depreciate so quickly yes they can be very good no
they're not always directly related to reliability but at the end of the day
fear mongering and cost of maintenance and ownership as well as a flooding of
the market are the key primary reasons why you can get a phenomenal BMW on a
used car market thanks again everybody I hope to see you soon see you then
bye-bye
