Youtube daily have Jan 2 2017

Happy New Year to all of our viewers!

First of all I would like to thank all of you for the great year we have had.

We are now approaching 24,000 subscribers.

I am humbled by the incredible support that all of you have given over the past year.

And proud of all the interaction I have had with you, I am endlessly learning from all

of you with each new video I upload.

Your suggestions, opinions and knowledge all form the beating heart of this channel.

Those kind comments left by you are what inspires us to keep researching and producing new content

for the Paranormal Scholar.

[pause, with a speedy show of all the nice comments]

Both of us are working hard and looking forward to the day in 2017 when we will be able to

devote our full attention to the Paranormal Scholar, and be able to make more regular

uploads.

And, with the way this channel is growing thanks to your continued support, I have no

doubt that this will be a reality.

For this new year we hope to increase the quality and variety of our content.

Inspired by the encouragement we have received for our Anneliese Michel video, longer, documentary

style uploads will be making more of a regular appearance on the Paranormal Scholar.

There are certain perplexing cases which we feel really do need more detail and attention

devoting to them.

We hope you feel the same.

Also, we are going to expand into a subject we both love and have noticed that many of

you enjoy in our videos: history.

Not just any history: we are going to explore the grisly, the mysterious and the dark.

From Ancient history to the Nazis, we want to present a panorama of history that will,

hopefully, horrify you.

We are even looking into the possibility of on location ghost hunts and dark explorations.

For more, we hope you will take the time to visit our patreon page, where we may have

occasional fundraisers to help support those extra special projects which we would love

to create for you.

The Paranormal Scholar was a name chosen not as label for any one person but rather as

a title for all who share in the passion for learning and discussing the extraordinary.

We wanted to create a place of exchange, for all to be able to converse freely without

being judged or ridiculed.

Throughout our YouTube experience, we have always endeavoured to make all our videos

to the highest standard that we could possibly conceive.

Recently, we have even launched a website and forum to expand The Paranormal Scholar

and give everyone a wider place to discuss.

Discussion is the lifeblood of understanding, and there is so much out there to consider

and share with one another.

The videos, the website, the forum are all your places to have and enjoy.

The more of you who visit, the bigger this house will get.

So, continue to like and share what you enjoy about the Paranormal Scholar, and we will

continue to hone our trade and provide you with the best possible content we can conceive.

Thank you all for 2016, and we wish you all the most auspicious of new years.

This Animal Has Penises For Legs... WHY?! - Duration: 3:22.

Scientists have discovered a new insect that has more legs, penises, and friends than me.

Great.

Hey creepy crawlers, Trace here for DNews!

In late 2016, a tiny new insect was found in a cave deep within Sequoia National Park.

This lil guy was a millipede, but not one scientists had seen before.

It came with 414 legs, no eyes, 200 poison glands which secreted an unknown substance,

and… maybe most creepily, four penises.

This multi-genitaled creature, named Illacme tobini is evolutionarily related to a known

millipede groupcalled Illacme plenipes, which actually has 750 legs -- more than any animal

on earth.

And yet our interest still lies with, tobini and his many peenees.

They're located at the ninth and tenth pair of legs, and actually serve a dual purpose

as legs.

Really working that old "third and fourth" leg joke.

These leg-penises are called "gonopods", and are present on other millipede species

as well, although none with more than two.

But they don't quite function in the same way our mammal penises do.

They scoop sperm from another part of the body, called the gonopore, and use the gonopod

to push it into the female millipede's cyphopods.

Penises for legs?

Being a diplopodologist is way cooler than I thought.

What is more interesting is that millipedes aren't the only ones carrying multi-tools.

The order of Squamata, which are scaled reptiles, and includes all snakes, lizards, ALSO have

multiple penises, although, again, not more than two each.

In some cases, each individual penis has two tips, but that's more like four tips total.

These two penises are called hemipenes, oh and fun fact, they're usually covered with

spikes and hooks so they attach securely to the female.

So, why do these animals have so much to give, whereas us humans, and most other penis-bearing

animals, have to live life with their one and only?

Well, a study published in the journal Nature, from 2014 has an interesting evolutionary

answer.

See, the Squamata order, and reptiles in general, are marked by their amphibious nature.

Hundreds of millions of years ago, their ancestors were ocean dwelling, and eventually they sprouted

legs, and crawled onto the shore, getting the best of both worlds.

But that's a pretty tricky move, things are different on land than they are underwater,

and one enormous difference is mating.

See, it may be simplistic to say but if you're mating in water, you're really just squirting

out as much as you can and hoping that the water carries it to the right place; and that

tends to work pretty well.

On land though, indiscriminate spraying doesn't work too well, everything sort of just falls

to the ground.

What this study in Nature found is that these double genitalia were based on the position

of an orifice known as the cloaca.

It's found with amphibians, reptiles, birds, and even some fish!

As an animal develops, the cloaca signals nearby cells and tells them to become a penis.

Since reptiles evolved separately, their cloaca is positioned differently for use underwater.

Simply put, penises on reptiles are based on their hind leg positions.

So, whether you have one or two or four penises… baby, you were born this way.

And this begs the question to me, why do we even have sex at all?

Why don't we just breed asexually?

Find out in this video.

And let us know down in the comments if you have any other new species you want us to

profile or science questions and please subscribe for more DNews.

What Do Past Clients Have to Say About Our Personal Injury Lawyers? - Duration: 1:09.

Back in December 2011, I was at work and involved in a serious car accident.

Well there's a couple of people that I work with that recommended the firm and so I didn't

know anyone, so I just want ahead and went along with their suggestion.

Yes, I love working with her, that was the best experience I had even though the accident

was traumatic, the experience with her was so easy, I was in two years of recovery.

She came to me when I was in rehab, her and her team, and they made everything from that

point, all the way up until my return back to work two years later, painless, I didn't

have to worry about anything, but except me getting myself back together.

She was available all the time, if it wasn't her, it was her assistant Mary, they were

excellent, I recommend them to everybody I come across.

Not hoping anybody gets in an accident, but everybody I come across I always talk about

them and we still stay in contact to this day.

I woke up in the morning not knowing if I would have food to eat that day - Duration: 0:55.

One thing I remembered in the camp is waking up in the morning and not knowing

how you are going to eat, if you are going to have a meal for that day. Because

they give you just minimum food for two weeks, and so for eight people, that was

not enough. We start sharing almost everything. So coming from a house that

had food, that food have never been a problem, to a place where you have to

share the little you have, or your mom not have to eat so the kids can eat, that kind

of appealed to me. That was the first thing that, like, was a shock to me, and I

was like, "Okay, I need to wake up and start thinking about life."

Get to Know Washington DC Personal Injury Lawyer Roger Johnson - Duration: 1:53.

My background is I'm a University of Michigan graduate.

I came to Washington D.C. to go to law school at George Washington University, after that

I clerked for a very fine judge named George Revercomb for a year, one of the best experiences

one could ever have if they're going to be a trial lawyer because it demystifies the

court system for you when you clerk and you see all the lawyers come into the courtroom

and you see what the judge does back in chambers, it was a wonderful, wonderful experience with

a wonderful man.

Then I went to another law firm right of my clerkship for about 14 months and at the end

of that period, Joe Koonz, who is one of the senior partners there, asked Carol and I to

come with him and start a new firm and we did so and we've been, I've been doing it

for 37 years, since 1979.

I enjoy the work—I don't, I don't have any problem saying that I enjoy the work, I enjoy

the clients we represent, I like the challenges of preparing a case for trial, the number

of interesting cases that we have after being one of the top firms for so long is, it is

wonderful and it really provides you with a different challenge every single day.

The other thing I like is working with people who I worked with for 30-some years.

My assistant Betsy, I've worked with since 1979, 37 years.

Bill Lightfoot, my law partner since 1980.

Peter DePaolis, my law partner since 1980.

Susie Kelly, my wife's former assistant, still here after 36 years.

We have something in the neighborhood of eight or nine employees that have been here virtually

since we started the firm.

I consider them my friends and enjoy seeing them every day.

Anyone who would like to contact our law firm, can go to Koonz.com or simply call our main

number at (202) 659-5500.

We promise we will respond promptly.

What Should a Tourist Know About Walking Around Washington DC? - Duration: 1:11.

One of the issues that's come up in our modern life, is people walking and using their

electronic devices.

People will walk down the street and hold their phone and they'll do the emails, they'll

do their text messages, they'll change their music, they'll have their headphones on

listening to music, and there's nothing wrong with that and it's a common part of our life.

So I don't think it's wrong to text, or have headphones on, and check your emails while

walking, but while you do so I think you do have to be cognizant of what's going on around

you and it does become more difficult to do that, when you've got your headphones on and

you're checking your emails and it's hard to hear a siren go by, you don't hear a car

honk, you may not even hear the engine of a car revving up.

So although it may be reasonable in certain places and at certain times, to walk and text,

or walk and do your emails, or walk and listen to headphones, when you're in downtown DC

you have to be cognizant that so much is going on around you, at least keep the volume down

and keep your eyes open.

'The greatest thing is to love and be loved': Couple who both have Down syndrome get married in magical wedding ceremony complete with a unicorn throne and singing waiters

PHOTO: Polly and Joe, who both have Down syndrome, have shared photos of their unicorn themed wedding day

A couple who both have Down syndrome have shared photos of the magical day they wed in a ceremony attended by 200 guests.

Polly and Joe met eight years ago when they were both college students in Sussex, UK.

PHOTO: 'The greatest thing is to love and be loved in return,' Polly said, explaining she hoped their story would touch the lives of others

The pair said their attraction was instant and in May they made things official by tying the knot in a ceremony that included a unicorn throne and singing waiters.

PHOTO: 'Our favourite parts of the day were saying I do, exchanging rings and dancing to Labyrinth', Polly said

Now, the couple have shared photos of their beautiful day with Daily Mail, and Polly hoped their story may help others.

'It would be wonderful if our story could touch the lives of others struggling to cope with any kind of disability or inequality,' she told Rocknroll Bride. 'The greatest thing is to love and be loved in return.'

Polly explained she and Joe wanted their wedding to have a 'festival' vibe, which was achieved with stunning attention to detail.

With the help of family and friends, tables were strewn with bunches of wild flowers in a variety of colours, while pastel-hued bunting hung from the sides of the reception marquee at Brewerstreet Farmhouse in Surrey.

PHOTO: At one point, Joe could be seen tenderly kissing the hand of his new bride

There was also a plant and flower stall, a plethora of helium balloons in pink and blue as well as waiters singing Ratpack tunes.

'Our favourite parts of the day were saying I do, exchanging rings and dancing to Labyrinth', Polly, who wore a white gown patterned with lilac detailing along with a long white veil, told Rocknroll Bride. 'We also love that so many people came to celebrate with us.'

PHOTO: The couple met eight years ago when they were both college students

The couple love to sing and dance and before saying their vows they played the Abba song I do, I do, I do, with their guests joining in on kazoos.

They then danced to Come What May - the song performed by Nicole Kidman and Ewan MacGregor in the hit film Moulin Rouge - before exchanging rings made from vintage silver sugar tongs.

A particular point of interest for guests was a white unicorn throne where the newly married couple posed for pictures by Leela Bennett Photography.

PHOTO: Polly wore a white gown patterned with lilac detailing along with a long white veil for her big day

It was on the throne, that at one point, Joe tenderly took his new wife's hand and pressed it to his lips in a kiss.

PHOTO: The couple, who are keen dancers, enjoyed a dance before saying their vows

The couple also celebrated their nuptials with a cake topped with multi-coloured sprinkles and the words Polly and Joe, alongside a love heart.

Guests received home made jams and chutney as wedding favours and everyone attending the event wore special 'wedfest' wristbands.

PHOTO: The newlyweds enjoyed a kiss after exchanging rings made from vintage silver sugar tongs

'My advice to other couples, especially to young adults with special needs, is to live the dream, believe in yourselves and that anything can be possible,' Polly said.

PHOTO: Bride, Polly, said she wanted the wedding to have a 'festival' feel to it

PHOTO: Around 200 guests attended the magical day to help the couple celebrate their wedding

If we stay together, we have the power - Duration: 0:56.

If I can give a word of advice to refugees, immigrant, and even people in

this nation that are feeling misplaced, they don't know what to do.

It's that we're a nation, and as a nation if we stay together we might,

we will overcome this. He's a President that lead us, and without people,

he's nothing. So, we have the power, that's what I believe, and we don't need

to give anybody that power, like all the power. So, if we keep our powers as a

nation, as communities, and stay together and show each other love and care in the

midst of our differences and everything that's going on, this is just going to be

another phase that we'll be able to overcome and continue to be strong

and the great nation that we are.
