1000 Subscribers! - Duration: 3:56.

Hi there! I decided to record a bit unusual video

It's dedicated to my first 1000 subscribers on my Youtube channel Dextrila

It's a very important moment for me, because it means that my work is important for people, people like it

and it inspires me as a musician to grow and progress farther

I'd like to tell about myself a little bit

8 years ago I've started to learn how to play guitar

At first it was an acoustic guitar

I'd studied in a musical school for two years and then I learnt at home by myself

My first covers were created in 2011

They were like a guitar track that was recorded over a song

I started to do recording, mixing and mastering seriously in 2013

At the same time I started to learn how to play bass guitar and...

/as usual/

My first complex project were uploaded in January 2016

It was a full cover that was recorded from the ground up

Guitar, bass and virtual drums tracks I record all by myself

The idea of recording such covers engaged me, because I chose not just songs, but themes from films, games

and serials

As a rule such compositions are quite interesting

in terms of arrangement and sound.

They differ from usual songs

What about my plans for the future, I'm going to record metal-covers of themes from games, films and serials

By the the way I don't have one of theme from a serial

But in the nearest future I definitely record smth

I'll try not to catch delay. It takes a lot of time to record

Besides I need to redo arrangements for a metal style, I have to record it,

edit it (some parts go away forever, some are going to be redone) mix and master it,

make a video, edit it. It takes quite a time

Hey, Wanna Gram of Insta? 📷 Instagram Launch Video - Duration: 7:03.

Hey guys and thanks for tuning into another one of my Homeroom Announcements videos.

As you can tell from the title, this is sort of a launch party video letting you know about

the new Skooled Zone Instagram account.

I know I'm late to the game on this but there are several reasons I was hesitant to get

the whole Instagram thing going for the Skooled Zone.

And I'll go into my reasonings for that, you know, just to let you in on my world a little bit.

And then I'll explain how I came up some very creative solutions.

To begin with, finding the time to do anything except produce regularly scheduled videos

for the channel along with keeping up with my day job to pay the bills is extremely challenging.

I can't wait until I can do YouTube full time, guys.

Seriously, it's my absolute life goal for 2017!

And hopefully it won't be too much longer.

But in the meantime, it's sort of a triage situation, if you know what I mean.

Do I divert my time away from making videos to keep up with yet another social media site?

Do I divert time away from responding to comments on YouTube to respond to them on another platform?

Do I divert time away from learning new production skills?

Unless you're an avid YouTuber, most people don't realize just how much time's involved

in building a channel.

It's really is rather extraordinary the amount of time involved.

So, for the longest time, I've been carefully weighing where best to allocate each precious

hour of the day.

And along those lines, I was also kind of feeling out the zeitgeist behind Instagram

and whether it would survive the social media landscape.

I'd hate to invest a bunch of time into something that would sort of wither and die over time, ya know?

We've seen a lot of social media sites fall by the wayside in recent years.

I mean Foursquare, Meerkat, and Vine come to mind.

Tumblr, meh.

And Facebook is... well, I'll leave it up to you to decide on Facebook.

But some experts think even Twitter is dying.

I like Twitter actually.

I hope it survives.

The point is that I kind of wanted to see where the highway was headed before I put

the time into another road trip so to speak.

The second reason is that I wasn't really sure I could make good use of Instagram mainly

because I haven't done a face reveal yet.

Unlike some other social media sites, Instagram is a completely visual medium.

So unless you have cool things to show people in the form of visuals, it's kind of a moot point.

And the third reason is that I registered the username "SkooledZone" on Instagram way

back in late 2014. You know just

so I could reserve it so no one else would take it when I launched the channel.

After I opened the Instagram account with the channel name, I didn't really ever launch

it or even log in again for over a year.

And unlike other social media sites, if you don't use it you lose it on Instagram.

I didn't know that.

Last summer I decided I'd take a second look at Instagram and found I was locked out of

my account, probably due to inactivity.

And as some of you may have experienced, it's virtually impossible to get any kind of human

help from Instagram. You have

a better chance of winning the lottery or communicating with space aliens from another planet.

I even tried to contact their legal department to let them know I own the federally registered

trademark for the name and still got no response back.

So I got really frustrated and just kind of tossed Instagram aside for the rest of 2016.

But now we're into 2017.

And here are the reasons why I decided to give Instagram another shot...

Instagram has seemed to survive the social media boot camp that other sites sometimes fail.

And it does, in fact, seem to be thriving.

It's an easy sell to be honest.

A sad as it sounds, blogs will be the next thing to fall by the wayside after newspapers.

But Instagram is basically a digital picture book and who doesn't like looking at pictures?

Especially in modern society starved for time and short on attention span.

So Instagram is probably here to stay.

As for the account name, I finally gave up trying to get Instagram to help with my plight

and just opened a new account as theSkooledZone.

I don't think anyone else snatched up plain old skooledzone.

I think it's just tangled up in Instagram limbo.

I could be wrong, though, and someone may show up with a page someday or ask me to pay

for it to get it back.

But that'll actually be a good thing because then I'll know exactly who to sue for trademark

infringement or even extortion.

But I do think it actually just got withdrawn from reach.

Hey, if anyone knows a viable way to get Instagram to help with tech support, definitely let me know.

I already emailed them and tweeted them and even tried to call them.

I don't know maybe there's another way.

But it's okay, I'm cool with theSkooledZone.

I've seen other channels do much more back-bending to get something close to their name.

So it's fine and it's growing on me.

And lastly, finding the time and what to do with it.

Well, I don't mind investing the time into an entertaining little tool if it's going

actually going to help the channel grow.

YouTube is my priority because I love making videos.

Fun gaming videos and educational trivia are my jam.

So I'll never take my eyes off that ball.

But if Instagram helps expand the channel, even in small subtle ways, and helps me go

all in with YouTube, then it'll certainly be an asset.

As for what to do with Instagram.

Well, that's where it gets cool.

When I first registered an account back in 2014, you couldn't post videos.

Or maybe you could but they maxed you at like 10-15 seconds.

Now you can post up to a minute of video, which rocks.

Also, people were mostly posting selfies back then or, if you were photographically inclined,

you know, nice travel shots or whatever.

I definitely didn't want to be one of those people who were just posting pictures of their

lunch and expecting people to care, ya know?

But things have evolved and channels are posting lots of useful things on Instagram like pictures

of new games or gaming gear, fun cartoons, and even text announcements.

I'm consider myself a pretty creative person, so I think I'll have some fun with Instagram.

I can see myself doing much more than just re-posting thumbnails.

For example, I've already started posting little teaser clips an hour or two before

a video goes up for the day.

I can also take pictures of an unboxings I do or scenes at future conventions and gaming events.

It's not a prerequisite that you have to show yourself on Instagram.

And since I'm a graphic designer for my day job, it wouldn't take me too much time to

post fun little graphics, quotes, factoids, and cartoons and stuff.

And by all means, I welcome any suggestions from you guys down below on cool things I

can post that don't involve a face reveal.

As you may know already, I'm holding off on that until the channel reaches 1 million subs.

But definitely leave any other creative ideas down in the After Skooled Club below.

You'll also see links all over everything else, like at the top of the YouTube channel,

on the Skooled Zone website, in the description of videos from here on, etc.

Now as of the date of this videos, there's only a few posts there.

I'm still an Instagram noob.

An instanoob if you will.

I'm taking baby steps, so be kind.

But pretty soon it'll be populated with all kinds of cool stuff.

So head over there, follow me and you won't regret it.

I won't be responding to as many comments on Instagram as I do on YouTube because I

don't want to take too much time away from that.

YouTube is where I respond to almost every comment.

So don't feel snubbed if you don't get a response on Instagram like you do on Twitter or YouTube.

But I do see every comment and will do my very best as time allows.

Remember, you guys want more frequent videos and, as everyone knows, it's so easy to get

distracted by social media.

So YouTube's gotta be my focus.

But anyway, I appreciate you guys listening to me ramble about my Instagram launch.

You know, these Homeroom Announcements videos are basically like little podcasts in a way,

so you get much more insight into me as a person through these HRAs than you may from

my gaming videos.

And I can't thank you guys enough for all your kindness and support so far in 2017.

It's just been really amazing seeing the channel grow and evolve.

And that's so much to you.

And I'm glad you guys have been there with me for the journey.

I hope I can continue to inspire you, entertain you, and make you smarter.

Pink & Black Clothing Haul - Duration: 7:20.

hey hey guys, it's ya girl tara. so today i'm back with

another haul, what's new?¿? i just have way too

many clothes

I mean you guys like my hauls, i talked

about that last haul video which was

literally a t-weekly ago. A lot of you guys said you

enjoy it anyway... so why not share it

with you because I chose some really really

cute pieces out from a couple of sites

and then I picked up a couple things

for my ebay and glebe markets; the usual

so i hope you guys have been well

this is a pink and black haul, just because

90% of this haul is pink and black

i don't know what's wrong we me

it's obviously a phase

Probably a life-long phase, who knows

I'm wearing a couple of pieces today actually

It is so hot, I'm sorry that I look like a

sweaty messy and also I have a

mozzie bite on my eye, like how does that even

happen

I don't know... but I do have 5 things

that aren't pink and black. i think i can

let that slide a bit. I might as well start with

the pieces that aren't pink and black.

When I went away on camp, I got 2 pieces in the mail

So I came back and got to open them

First one is this awesome top from

This is Vain. My pals over there, they sent me

a long sleeved shirt that I chose out

that says Vain DJ Delivery Service

I'm pretty sure this is a collaboration with someone

but the owner/s of the store are actually

like skaters and they have their own DJ

Soundcloud thing I think. This is awesome

I've worn it on the warmer days, it's super

comfortable. Awesome to just chuck on for work

and yep, it's great! Cool designs

Love them. From ACF clothing I chose out these

maroon culottes. They're like the colour of my old

school uniform when I was in highschool

A little throwback. They're great quality, so cute

The only thing is, that if you're

around a size 10 or a medium

That's the largest size they make

They do a bit of a weird sizing, it's by age

they do ages 12 14 16, so i got the size 16 because

I'm normally a size 10, so I do fit

into them, but any bigger you're not going to fit into them

so sorry about that! But they do have some

really awesome jackets that I think will fit.

It's great quality, super structured.

awesome! And then from Glebe Markets

I have like three things to show you

First off is this little dragon patch

that's so cute and has a red background with a purple

and white dragon on there and then I also have

two pairs of jeans. I need to sneeze... I have another pair

of white pants, these ones are actually jeans

These ones are Tommy Hilfiger. I got them for an

obscenely cheap price i didn't even know why they

were selling it for that cheap

But it's like a mom jean style which is perfect. I absolutely love

white pants i have my other ones from Ralph Lauren

which I got for literally 10 times the price

So stoked to wear it

I actually forgot I bought that but it's been to hot to wear it

anyway and i also got another pair of

really cheap jeans and they're vintage 70s

wrangler. Awesome flare and they

have these little idk what it's called, thicker parts

around the middle and around the butt and it's just awesome. It's missing a button

and he gave it to me half off so that's

cool. i literally own like no normal pairs of pants

Moving onto stuff I just received from

Ebay. I bought these a couple weeks ago

and it's just these pink and black berets

I really like berets, I don't actually know

If this will fit on my head because

the hole is really small, so hopefully it

does if not, I'll probably just resell it or

something. But they're so cute and it'll just match

all my outfits. Nat was literally like you're

turning into Elle. Yeh, I pretty much am

I have a belt now that she owns as well

Elle's aesthetic is just rubbing off on me,

what can I say. She has such great style so

not complaining. From Romwe on Friday

last week I received a package of stuff

that I chose out and it came so

quickly like quicker than normal, like in a

week it came. I got a bunch of pink stuff

I got this skirt

It has a side lace up, it's so cute

with this little faux suede tie up thing

and it's a mini skirt, so cute, it does look a bit wide

but it actually fits really nicely and it's a great

length as well, so it does look a bit short and

wide, but it does fit well. Great quality

And then I also have this little cami top,

It's so cute, it looks like something Topshop would sell

I wore this to a party and people were like is

that from Topshop? It's this velveteen material

It's super comfy. It has a V sort of

front and a straight back and

it's so cute and easy to wear and style with

anything. I have so many skirts. This is a more

purply-pink one. This is a

tiny bit big but it fits nicely still.

It has a stretchy lace up material at

the front and two massiv pockets

which is awesome

so keen about these pockets. and at the back it's just

plain. this material is so soft

and silky and comfortable to wear. Oh my

gosh like guys you do not understand how nice

this is to touch. When you just get those

really nice feeling materials. and then my

favorite skirt out of the bunch. I wore this on saturday to

go to glebe markets. And it's another pink skirt

of course. It's in a size M so my

normal size fits perfectly

I got so many compliments from so many random

people coming up to me, like where did you get your skirt?

It has an O ring

So cute! I love it and the pockets

and it's just Ahh! I love this skirt so much and I actually paired that skirt

with this top that I got as well as

It has these buckles here and a lace up at

the front

obviously I was going through a lace up

trend that night when I was going through pieces

it's off the shoulder, it's so cute

I also go a really bad strap tan line

I mean what can you do now I have like 3 strap tans

on my back. This is such a cute top and it's

a nice mixture of sexy but also

conservative... semi

I'm wearing this choker from Romwe as well, it's lace up again

but no regrets because it's awesome and I love it

Moving onto the last bunch of pieces that I

received this morning. But I go this

O Ring belt which is what elle actually has as

well. It's so cool. I've wanted an O ring belt

for the longest time, since mid last year

But I couldn't find them anywhere

and then I saw SheIn was selling it and I

got super excited so picked that up

And then I wearing like 2 pieces

So I actually got this like netted dress thing

Let me try and stand up

It's so cute, it fits so nicely

I'm just wearing it over this

pink, tight slip skirt and also this

sorry I'm literally stripping

and then over this pink top as well, it's a bandeau

style that I actually got from SheIn as well

and it came in a matching set with this

choker and also these pants

and this is actually the same material as the cami top

from Romwe. So that's awesome, I

can change up the tops a bit, but these pants

look so awesome with the top and the choker

and it's such a look

it totally reminds me of something Nasty Gal would sell

So guys check it out. So keen to wear that

look. and then I also go this see through

mesh dress with dots on it and it came

with a slip as well, which I'll show in a sec

but it's quite long, it goes down to

mid calf. Might wear it to a

picnic party thing. The slip that comes inside is a

a really nice stretchy, cottony material

It has these boob V line things

idk if you can see that.

And the last thing I have to show you is this rose mesh top

It is so so cute, oh my lord

can't get over the roses, can't get over the mesh

so this is perfect

I'm so stoked about it

So that's actually everything, that was a super quick

haul, I went through it quickly

I think i'm going to do a lookbook with all these pieces

or most of them

so keep an eye out for that. Super keen to show you guys

the looks I've been wearing
