What's up guys?
Today we'll be going over 15 quick tips on how to have more energy (I doubt I need
to explain why this is so important to you living a happy lifestyle and achieving your
goals) and at the end of the video I'll rank them in a list from most important to
least important so you'll know where to start.
Also, the last tip is crucial, so you don't want to miss that.
Let's jump right in.
The 1st tip is to take a cold shower.
Now, you might know some of these tips already, but I would recommend watching through to
the end as it takes repetition and action to truly make these into habits so you are
a much more energetic person.
There isn't too much to say about this tip as I'm pretty sure we all know if we jump
straight into cold water we would be wide awake, and I do have a video on this topic
already.
Cold showers are dope.
The 2nd tip is music.
This is something that we all love and I try to keep the instrumentals in the background
pretty solid so that you can enjoy my voice and the music haha, but legitimately playing
a song that you like will probably wake you up and get you energized as long as it isn't
a depressing ass song, but even then that could get you awake.
I remember before a basketball tryout years ago I was listening to "Pictures on My Wall"
by XV and balled my ass off.
You know we made the team.
And even now working out with music is pretty good, just don't start needing music, as sometimes
myself I'll purposely workout for an hour without it to focus on my breath, my form,
and just overall not needing to be entertained.
Before we get into the 3rd tip if you're enjoying this video and want to improve your
life be sure to smash that subscribe button and get energetic from that shit, and if you
already are I love you so you can always hit me up on Twitter or Instagram.
Alright, so the 3rd tip is to simply get more exercise.
You can listen to your favorite song while lifting weights, while running, while shooting
around, whatever.
I know lifting does get your testosterone higher, has many other health benefits, and
makes you better looking, so try that out.
It really helped me because last year I never worked out, had skinny arms and a fat stomach,
and that shit was disgusting, but now I look a lot better and have a ton more energy to
go after my goals and just enjoy life in general.
Tip number 4 is walking outside.
If it's sunny out you get that Vitamin D, and if not it gets you moving and you get
fresh air.
Tip 5 is breathing deeply.
I'll try to keep this short because all of these tips can be expanded into full videos,
and if I did that this would be around a couple of hours.
Your body needs oxygen, so if you start breathing correctly which is just one small thing you
can fix right now, then you'll be much better off.
Breathe into your stomach, not your chest.
The 6th tip is to try out NoFap.
Alright, this may seem weird to some of you if you don't know what NoFap is, but it's
abstaining or just quitting porn and masturbation.
Now, there have been studies showing that testosterone increases when you stop beating
your meat, so that could be why.
But just from personal experience, a shit ton of my energy comes from a high sex drive,
and in the past when I was jacking off daily, I was always tired and lethargic, but the
moment I quit life really changed.
Kanye West once made a point that really resonated with me, which is, "Look at the drive that
people have to get sex — to dress like this and get a haircut and be in the club in the
freezing cold at 3 A.M.
The places they go to pick up a girl.
If you can focus the energy into something valuable, put that into work ethic, you would
be able to get whatever you wanted."
Tip #7 is doing your big tasks first.
I can make an entire video on this but before when I woke up I was doing all this easy work
first like answering emails, posting on Instagram, making calls, and then after I started my
big work like animating these videos.
Well that shit doesn't work because you're too tired after all that.
Start your day doing the most important things, like for me, meditation, reading, working
on this YouTube channel, and working out.
Then do the small things and it will be much easier.
Number 8 is to talk to someone.
You can definitely join the group chat haha but even if it's only through text, or call,
or in real life, it helps me unwind a bit and a lot of times the best ideas that come
to my head are from talking to others.
Shoutout to TheRealizedMan because I was talking to him the other day about maybe starting
a group self-development YouTube channel with a bunch of other people similar to Faze (even
though we're not gamers), and overall for you, just enjoy the presence of other people.
Number 9 is intermittent fasting.
This depends on the person.
I tried it out and am still fasting for 16 hours a day, eating for 8 hours, and I feel
really focused when I'm not eating.
I know that after I eat I get a bit tired actually so this helps me out not only in
productivity but also in losing body fat.
Tip 10 (we're almost finished!) is to drink more.
I know this may sound weird and I made fun of this in another video about tools to be
more productive, but I realized myself that I need more water and based on what I've read,
it helps to have a bottle of water around at all times.
Tip 11 is meditation.
This is not only strengthening your mind and giving you more willpower, I know for me NoFap
was much easier when I started to meditate, but it gives you more energy.
It makes you stop worrying for a while and just be in the moment, a clear head and all,
and that's also the next tip which is...
Number 12: stop worrying and stressing.
Stress is known to make you more tired because you have thoughts running around your head
all day (haha thots), but legitimately one of the best methods was from Leo from Actualized.org
which is when I learned that worrying is fucking useless and to catch yourself doing it.
I get it from my mom who worries all day and is always on edge, but once I started to notice
my thoughts of worry, I converted them to a positive.
Instead of worrying, oh shit what if I go to this program and they think I'm weird,
instead I think, what if I go to this program and I make some dope friends.
Worry in a positive way and you will push yourself to new opportunities and you'll stop
getting tired from overworking your brain.
Number 13 is to take a break.
Chill out after working hard and enjoy both the time you work and the time you rest.
Number 14, the second to last one is sleeping more.
No words need to be said about this.
Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep unless it's absolutely necessary to be hustling your ass off.
Don't get into the cycle of sleeping 4 hours a night like I used to.
It sucks balls and you definitely have enough time each day to do what you need to get done.
Sometimes you gotta get kreative haha but find solutions that don't cut into your energy
and health.
And last but not least (I'll rank these after), tip number 15 for more energy is to have a
purpose in life.
This is deeper than all of these smaller tips, but it's the driving force.
Sometimes you can skip sleep to finish a project, sometimes you don't have to take a break,
you're just so immersed in what you're doing that you work away and don't worry at all.
Having something that you really care about driving you will allow you to get through
tedious work, will naturally get you to quit bad habits, and will help you achieve what
you really want.
I have a whole video on the topic and I'll have links to everything I referenced down
below, but always remember that you need a purpose in life.
Thanks so much for sticking with me to the end, as promised here is the summary and ranking
of the top 15 tips to have more energy that have personally worked for me.
Number 1 is: Having a Purpose (enough said in the video)
Number 2 is: Sleeping More (if you do all of the tips below, but you only get 4 hours
of sleep a night, you will definitely not be at your peak unless you are a genetic anomaly)
Coming in at #3: NoFap, really the boost depends on if you were addicted like I was and your
sex drive, and this most likely works better on guys than girls
#4: Exercise #5: Meditation
#6: Cold Showers #7: Doing Your Big Tasks First
#8: Intermittent Fasting #9: Walk Outside
#10: Talk to Someone (Join the Discord Group Chat!)
#11: Stop Stressing and Worrying #12: Drink More (if you aren't drinking enough
water) #13: Breathe Correctly
#14: Music #15: Take a Break
This video was more on quick tips and some personal examples from my life, but if you
do want a full video on any of these topics then let me know and we can decide on that.
Besides that if you haven't already once again smash that subscribe button and join
the group chat if you want to meet other motivated and pretty cool people in general.
It's Kevin from KreativeVein, peace.
