Racing in New South Wales began in 1810
approved by Governor Macquarie
The first race was run at Hyde Park
with the finishing post between Park and Market Streets
The stand for the ladies of the colony was positioned in such a way
that they did not get the sun in their eyes
It is suggested that this is why races are run in a clockwise direction in New South Wales.
Races continued at Hyde Park
managed by the 73rd regiment
until they left Sydney in 1814
by which time, racing had taken off as the first liberal amusement in the colony
and privately owned racecourses were emerging all over Sydney
the racecourse at Randwick has been here since 1833
when it was used for match races
One horse
pitted against another, in a test of ability
abandoned in 1838 but retained as a racecourse
it was fondly known as The Sandy Course
The AJC, formed in 1842, and after beginning racing at Homebush
they moved to Randwick in 1860
to raise money to fix the track and build a grandstand
the secretary, George Rowley
called on members to become liable for 50 pounds each
that's a lot of money in those days
Fifteen members came forward
and thus
Randwick Racecourse was born

Can "This Is Us" live up to its stellar first season?
--Of course they will all but
we start our fall TV preview with perhaps the most anticipated show it is
a familiar one: "Will & Grace" --I was just saying to my wife
I wonder what it will
be like to kiss a man again?
--That crazy kiss marks the triumphant return of one
of the funniest shows on television and here's the best part
"Will & Grace" hasn't even begun to air and NBC has already
renewed it for another season Our TV critics, Variety's
Elizabeth Wagmeister and Jarett Wieselman
of BuzzFeed both agree this brilliant comedy is the one to watch.
--Their chemistry still has not changed one bit
I mean we got to see a little bit of footage of them all together and playing
around on set and it just it feels so great to see Will and Grace and Jack and
Karen back together again --It's like they never took a break
they look the same
they look amazing they sound the same
they act the same and their energy is just great

--Capitalizing on one of its biggest hits CBS rewinds the clock on the Big Bang
Theory to Sheldon's childhood in Texas it's narrated by Jim Parsons and even if
you don't watch Big Bang you can't help but love little Iain Armitage who knows
he has big shoes to fill you --I know a lot of people like it
and I'm hoping a lot more like it and I'm hoping it's it's going to do well.
--understand that some people are gonna be intimidated by you
because of how smart you are --or maybe they'll recognize my
intellect and make me their leader --Lord, look after my son
don't let him get stuffed in a gym bag --He's the cutest thing you've ever seen
and even though
he's not even 10 years old yet audiences know him because he actually starred in
"Big Little Lies."
--Two counts of murder have been filed against Lyle and Erik Menendez
--all the years of abuse finally drive them over the edge
--And yet another
spinoff from Dick Wolf's hugely successful franchise comes "Law and Order
True Crime: the Menendez Murders" starring Edie Falco as the brothers

--But our experts totally disagree when it comes to the reboot of the
1980s primetime soap opera "Dynasty" starring Grant Show as Blake Carrington.
--It's just good trashy fun.
--the show doesn't feel as luxe as the original did
when you have your lead characters on dynasty getting into a slap fight 20
minutes into the pilot you're like where do we go from here?
[Music] --and now to "This Is Us."
It's not a new show
but it was the most talked-about show of last season.
Can it sustain its momentum?
--all this stuff is coming up about dad --there's no reason to believe that it should
change but we have seen a trend with the sophomore slump as we call it in the
industry which is when this show is the biggest thing you've ever seen in season
one it comes back for season two and it just doesn't quite meet the expectations
I think though that audiences are ready to come back they're ready to cry with
the Pearson family.
--I mean when I hear that theme song I just kind of break out
the goosebumps.
I can't wait for it --I feel like all of the characters have so
much more to show so much more story to share right
--we're finally gonna find out
I think in this very first episode producers have said they're gonna give
us a big hint about how Jack died --I need to know
--we need answers

since starting from middle school I attended an all boy's school
So after that there were no opportunities for me to receive anything
K: During both valentines and white day I was the one giving the gifts

And then when I sat down in my seat again after lunch and opened the drawer

had to evacuate, so everybody has
to get out of the pool, I'm assuming.

So, who knows when we can get back in.
It's gonna get really hot sitting out here, though.
Nobody's in the pool.
Sierra was in the lazy river.
She's so confused right now.
Dad, did you poop in the pool?
- [Jack] We heard you pooped

Welcome to Sunday, my last day here
in Seattle, Washington.
Wrapping up PAX West, my very first one.
This is the hotel I stayed in.
It's pretty awesome, Motif.
Highly recommend it, really classy, really nice.
That bar you saw last night on the roof, pretty awesome.
We never did this restaurant, because
the restaurant is downstairs, as well.
It's pretty nice.
And I have to admit, the weather's
been really nice here in Seattle, as well.
80 degrees right now.
So, I'm with Dojo, grabbing an Uber,
heading to the airport.
We got earlier flights.
Stat's got like a 9:00 flight, so sucks to be him.
- [Tiffany] The pool has reopened.
Yeah, they're all dressed up.

- [Tiffany] What are you doing?
- [Sierra] Very comfy.
Her head was all in this down there.

We all have the major munchies.
We had leftover pizza for lunch at like 11:00,

- Moved to the airplane, gonna fly home.
- [Tiffany] All dressed and ready for dinner.
This girl is super duper excited about her Mexican dinner.

So stuffed, Mexican food, just blugh.

- Alright guys, so I made it back to the resort
with Tiff and the kids.
Got to hang out with Bryce and Sierra
for a little bit before they passed out
on the couch with Mason.
Then Tiff and I are just kinda catching up
over the last couple of days.
You can always talk too much on the phone
when things are going on, so caught up
a little bit, and now we're gonna call it a night.
So, tomorrow morning wake up together
once again, and pack things up here
and head back home.
