hi guys what's up, it's Celine here and I'm so happy you found this video and clicked
on this channel where it's all about living the life you want to live and
being the kind of person you want to be so in terms of that I educate
myself a lot about you know time management and having enough time to
actually pursue our own dreams and yeah do the things we actually want to do
because a really common problem is like I want to do that that that and that but
I I just don't have enough time for that and I recently did a video about time
management so if you're really interested in that topic be sure to
check that out afterwards as well I'll link it down into the description box
but today I want to focus more on the things we do because we feel we need to
do it rather than we actually want to do it and those are of course things they
consume our time and consume our energy and our money and if we could just don't
do them because we actually don't really want to do them we would save that time
and can use that time for things we actually do want to do you know where
I'm coming from so let's talk about this today how liberating would it be if we
are stop doing things because we were told to do them and start just doing the
things we do care about in order to do that of course we need to figure out
what we actually just do because we were told so by others by societies by false
beliefs and stuff like that and how to filter the things we actually do care
about because I can imagine most of you thinking right now everything I do I do
it for a reason but the trick is to figure out if the reason is motivated by
you or by anyone else one of the most accurate examples regarding to this
topic is definitely body image and beauty so many people have going to the
gym losing some weight I don't know buying expensive clothes on
their to-do lists in order to feel better and obviously those things they are
super time consuming super money consuming and super energy
consuming so we need to figure out is that something you really want to or is
that something you do because you think you need to do it and to figure that out
there's exactly one question you need to ask yourself imagine yourself being in
world where it's just you you wouldn't need to worry about other people's opinion
because there simply are no other people so you just by yourself would you still
spend your time money and energy on the same things now so it's kind of easier
to select right for example losing weight so is your motivation of losing
weight because you feel lighter and because you won't feel fitter or is it
because you try to fulfill or meet those common beauty standards which tell you
skinny means pretty and which tell you you got to be more accepted by society
if you're skinny and pretty because if you're in this world where its just you you
wouldn't care about being accepted by kind of society or out of people you
would just care about is that actually something that benefits me do I actually
put that on my to do this because I do feel healthier by losing weight same
goes with gym do you want to go to the gym because you want to maintain your
strength or increase your strength and your overall health and fitness or
is that only to do this because you were told that this is what successful
healthy people do going to the gym this is how they spend their free time with
and if you do not go to the gym are doing something similar you're like kind
of lazy and less successful so are you just seeking acceptance by that that's
the question so if you just answered those questions with the first option
like you just do it because you feel pressure to do so think about how
liberating would that be and how much money time and energy you would save in
the kind of world where it's just you because you wouldn't worry about that
stuff right so what will you focus on then?
I quickly needed to change the location but anyways I'm just gonna continue from
here so probably you would just work on things like you character and your
skills and you know all the inner traits
because obviously there is no one who actually judge your outer traits and
when your outer appearance and stuff like that is truly important to you
then you will focus on that as well because it's important to you but then
you focus on it because of you not because of anyone else so try to live
your life like that try to feel like you are your only judge that you don't need
to prove anything to anyone but yourself stop allowing other people to tell you
on what to spend your energy time and money and don't go with images, standards and
trends just because it's the common way to think about things and see things
finding your own standards and values and motivations will grant you the time
money and energy to focus on what's truly important to you and actually to
live the life you truly want to and I think it's kind of the key to it when
you stop letting other people tell you what to do and start just really focused
on what you want to do and I think this example of thinking about you as the
only person in the world like just in that context by the way and the only one
you you need to be okay with is yourself and the only one who's going to judge
you is yourself and the only standards and values you need to meet are your own
this is where it makes click and you become number one priority and you will
become able to actually live the life you want to live since my channel is
