What Are Dividends? | Investing For Passive Income! - Duration: 3:18.

Hey guys, Bridget from Money After Graduation here and I wanted to answer a

common question I hear all the time and that's, what are dividends and how do I get them?

Dividend investing is one of my favorite ways to invest in the stock

market and it's one of my strongest passive income streams that I have

coming into my wealth portfolio. I love being a dividend investor and I think

dividend paying stocks and ETFs are an essential in every Millennial's portfolio.

To understand what a dividend is, you really just have to understand what it

means to be a shareholder of a company. When you buy stock in a company, you're

essentially becoming a part owner of that company. You're giving them your

money in exchange for a piece of their company. Because you're now a part owner

of the business, you're entitled to some of the rights and privileges of being an

owner in the business and that includes the profit. So dividends are usually a

cash distribution that's paid quarterly or sometimes monthly to shareholders in

a company. You don't have to do anything, all you need to do is purchase the stock

before the ex-dividend date and then you will receive your payout proportional to

the number of shares you own on the dividend payout date. This is what makes

dividend investing so attractive and so easy it's because it really is passive

income. All you need to do is own the stock, and you don't need to take any

action after that. The money is automatically deposited into your

brokerage account, then you can use it to buy more shares in the same company, buy

shares in another company, or to withdraw and spend it. One of the things that

makes dividend investing so attractive is companies often raise their dividends

every year, typically by 10% to 15%. This means the longer you own a

stock, the more you're making on your original investment. Most stocks will pay

dividends in the range of about 1% to 3%, but you can definitely get

stocks that pay seven, eight, or even double-digit dividend rates. It's

important to remember when you're chasing these dividends that rate

reflects risk. So high dividend payers are usually riskier stocks. Nevertheless,

owning a mix and a diversity of low dividend payers

and high dividend payers because you have low and higher risk stocks in your

portfolio is a great way to diversify your investments and increase your

overall passive income. Like with all investing, there are associated risks, the

main one of dividend investing being that the company could reduce or even

eliminate its dividend entirely. Now this is extremely rare because it makes

shareholders mad if you stop paying them, so a company will only cut or eliminate

its dividend is it's facing dire financial straits. Otherwise shareholders

are the most important people to a corporation so they will go to great

lengths to continue to pay that dividend, pay it on time and increase it year over

year. If you guys are interested in dividend investing or investing in

general you know I teach a course called The Six-Figure Stock Portfolio, I'll

leave a link below if you want to check it out. Otherwise I hope you found this

video informative and feel more comfortable understanding what dividends

are and how they work in the stock market and why they can do so much for

you. If you enjoyed it, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to my

channel and I will see you next week.

What's a Real Estate Support Team? - Duration: 5:06.

Hello everyone.

Thank you for coming to this weeks video blog here at California Realty Training.

We're very excited to have you here.

I am Robert Rico, hoping to bring you some great information that'll definitely support

and encourage you to get your real estate career off and running in the right direction.

Listen, today's topic I want to discuss with you is, in my opinion, one of the most crucial

topics in the real estate field.

Especially when you're just getting started.

This topic is the support cast that you'll have in your real estate corner when you're

getting started.

Now, when we first get our real estate license, sure, we have people who are encouraging us,

and people who supporting us.

Our family members, our friends.

But once you get in the actual field of real estate, and you're out there on the field

playing ball, and you're out there working hard in the real estate field, your family

isn't there with you, and your friends aren't there with you.

We must understand that we attend to attract professional people because they want to be

part of our real estate business.

Let's talk about sports for a second.

Two types of sports out there in the sports world.

We have independent sports, such as a tennis player, a bowler, a swimmer, a golfer, all

these people are out there playing, of course, by themselves.

Their success and failures are all dependent upon themselves.

Then we have your team supports.

For example, football.

It's football season coming up soon.

That's kind of exciting.

We have your football teams, you have your baseball teams, your basketball teams.

Those are teams that depend on each other.

You have several people on the same team depending on each other.

Now, if real estate was a sport, where do you think it would fall in these categories?

Would real estate fall as an independent sport, or as a team sport?

It's almost so interesting because we're going to ... In analyzing this situation, of course

when you're out there door knocking, and when you're out there cold calling, and you're

out there promoting your business, of course you're doing it by yourself.

Sure, we understand that, and it can be scary, so on and so forth.

But in reality, you should have a great support cast with you.

A team, a team that's going to help you, encourage you, to make it happen.

Now, what do I mean by a team?

Let's understand this a little bit better.

A boxer goes in the ring, of course he's by himself.

A boxer goes in there, and he's fighting, and he's punching, and he's seating, and he's

bleeding.

Whatever it takes to win a fight.

He's out 12 rounds, he's in there for 12 rounds, and he's making it happen.

At least doing the best he can.

You may think they're doing it on their own, but are they really?

Just like a realtor.

Are we really doing =this on our own when we're starting our new business?

A boxer in his corner has their own support cast.

For example, they have the cut man, a trainer, their nutritionist, their psychologist, their

spiritual advisor, they have a whole cast that encourages them to go out there and do

the best they can, to be at their top game when it comes to mind, body, and soul.

I'm not calling a real estate agent a boxer, but a real estate agent in a similar fashion,

has their own team that encourages them.

Sure, a real estate agent is out there on the streets, pounding the streets, door knocking,

and cold calling, and doing a whole bunch of things alone.

Passing out their business cards alone.

But in the background, once they get into the transaction, and they get in that ring,

they're not on their own anymore.

They want to have a super support cast.

They want to have a fantastic escrow officer helping them out with their transactions.

They want to have an established, and reputable, and experienced title rep.

A title representative is crucial for a real estate agent to have in their corner.

How about a great home inspector, a sales person, who knows all there is to know about

home inspections?

How about an MHD, a representative?

How about a transaction coordinator?

A transaction coordinator, are you kidding me?

That is extremely helpful once a real estate agent has a deal going in an escrow.

The transaction coordinator, within themselves, helps the agent one on one, to keep it all

together.

To keep all their forms together.

To have all their disclosures signed in a proper time frame.

To have everything accomplished by the time escrow finishes.

The transaction coordinator keeps all that in tack, and helps the real estate agent keep

it all in tack.

While they're out there fighting the fight, or they're out there making it happen, they

have an extremely helpful support cast.

From the escrow office, to the title, to the transaction coordinator, to all these other

service providers that will make it that much easier for the real estate agent to keep it

together.

Now let's ask the question again.

Real estate agent, are they an independent sport, or are they a team sport?

From the surface you would think it's an independent sport, if it was a sport.

But in reality, it's a team sport.

However, you, the real estate agent, are the one in charge of this team.

Ladies and gentleman, I hope you learned something today in this weeks video blog.

If you have any questions, concerns, do us a favor.

Better yet, do yourself a favor, leave a comment or a question down below.

We hope to see you next week at California Realty Training's video blog.

Have a great day.

What would the glyphosate ban mean for Polish fruit farmers? - Duration: 3:43.

Our orchard

was started by my grandfather, before the Second World War.

He began planting

apple and pear trees.

I was born

in 1964,

to an already horticultural family.

After introducing plant protection products,

used for fighting weeds

in our orchard, we could

devote more time to the production of apples,

and protection of apples, and less to

fighting weeds.

We use glyphosate twice a year.

During years with a longer

growing season, we spray

once more,

in the fall.

Doses in horticulture are generally

decreased rather than increased,

we use lower doses. We spray

only the strips that

trees grow on. We do not spray the middle of the orchard,

which is covered by green turf.

The orchard that my father inherited was established

by my great-grandfather

before the war, and from there it was passed

from generation to generation, from generation to generation,

and eventually I also got a piece of the land from my father,

And bit by bit I'm working on it myself.

I like to commune with nature.

I prefer spending my free time outdoors,

rather than in front of the TV or the computer.

It's satisfying to me when the apples are on the trees,

when they look nice, when people like their look and taste,

when they praise these Polish apples of ours.

My father's passion for fruit-growing was so strong

that despite his illness,

despite

his reduced mobility, last year,

when this orchard was filled with cherries,

I brought him here

to show him –

he jumped out of the car like an eighteen-year-old

and went into the cherry trees.

And he returned to the car

without supporting himself with a cane.

This is possible through the power of one's passion, of one's hobby.

I learned a lot of things from my father, but…

the most important thing for the fruit-grower

is so-called punctuality.

In our business, there is no such thing

as putting it off until tomorrow.

If the time comes to carry out a procedure,

even if it's Saturday night, for example,

we have to carry out the procedure. If we don't have an employee,

we have to carry it out ourselves.

But the procedure needs to be carried out. Even postponing it

by a few hours can already have an effect

on our harvest.

And since the crop yield only occurs once a year,

we really have to take care of it.

The withdrawal of glyphosate

will have very negative effects on fruit-growing.

Production costs will definitely rise.

If production costs rise,

so will the prices in shops. And society should be aware of that.

Performing a greater amount of procedures using different,

worse products, will result

in increased pollution.

Fruit growers do not have an alternative to glyphosate,

because there is no product similar to glyphosate.

At the moment, we do not have such an alternative.

What is the role of technology in Strategy Execution ? - Webinar by Tor Inge Vasshus - Duration: 34:05.

Hello. This presentation is called 'The Role of Technology in Strategy Execution'.

My name is Tor Inge Vasshus and I'm going to take you through some slides today and

give you my view of what technology and how technology could play an important

role. So, I would like to start with one PowerPoint slide of our company so

Corporater is a global software company focusing on business management side of

the business. We are in 18 locations around the world and worked with SAP

Microsoft, Qlik and the Big Management Consulting companies. We are also listed

in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Strategic Corporate Performance Management

Solutions. Yes, that was all I would like to say about our company. You can find

more about our company on our website corporater.com. If you look at how

technology and technology solutions have evolved from 2000, I

created a balanced scorecard back in the end of the 90s and in the end of

the 90s, what was characterizing the solutions then was that

IT was in control. You know the systems was developed by IT. It was

run by IT. There was coding and it was very much focused on

reporting and this was the time of the big data warehouses.

If you could just gather all the data in the data warehouse, this could do

magic for you. This could do wonder for you. I think business was patient. You

know business waited for 10-15 years and some are still waiting for results from

this big data warehouses. So, what I think happened is that it

switched from the one side 'IT in control' over to 'business making an uproar' and

say you know we are so fed up; we are so tired of waiting for you guys; so instead

they started to say if you can just give me my data - the Business Analysts and the

Business people, the Controllers, and so on they said you know I have my

financial data you know I'm actually going to buy myself a software and

probably a modern BI tool where I can do my analytics and do parts of my

reporting so then they started to say ok. Just give me a space where I can

drop my data and give me a modern BI tool. They actually

started to buy this outside the IT budgets directly but these solutions

they were very specific on a domain. It could be financed - financial data,

quality did quality data, production did production data, and this was what I call

'Analyst in control'. It was kind of the clever people that could actually

operate these kind of tools you know but what I think is kind of going from the

one edge, one side 'IT' and flip completely on the other side

with very narrow focus on a specific domain. I think there

is a middle way here that is a much better way. This is what Corporater

represents. We represent the paradigm shift in the way business applications,

business management applications are built and used. Let me just show you

the founding principles of Corporater because Corporater was

founded on some core principles. One is

'Business in Control'. So, let me show you something about the philosophy behind

Corporater and how we build the software. I'm

calling this 'the seven abilities' because companies might be disabled to implement

strategy or implement other business domains or they can be able. So this is

what I call 'The seven abilities'. That was the founding principles of

Corporater. I believe that these things are the things you need to look at when

you are selecting a technology or a solution for your business. Let me

just go step-by-step through these seven abilities. The first one is

'Configurability'. There is a nice video on our website. You

can go in and take a look at it 'How does the Corporater Business

Management Platform works'. Today's business problems are often solved with

some sort of technology support often through a business application and these

applications are often custom-made to fit your unique business problem.

Developing custom applications entails high cost, long development cycles, and

inflexibility and in most cases they don't solve the real business problem. This was

true until we created the Corporator Business Management Platform. After

researching for 15 years, we have decoded business applications and made a

platform for easy configuration of business applications that solves your

business problems. The platform is built up of common processes that you will

find in most business applications - the 3 main processes, 10 sub processes

and 250 business objects representing functionality used within a business

context which we call the Business Framework or Business Model. This is the

Business Management Platform. This is business decoded and with business

decoded, you can start building up your business applications. It's easy and it's

fun. Simply drag-and-drop business objects and you have your own

application. Corporater is a unique business management platform and it's

listed in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Strategic Corporate Performance

Management Suites. Corporater - your smart choice for configuring your business

applications. When business outcomes matter. And this is also what Gartner also

says that Corporater offers a flexible business modeling platform, configurable

configurable by business user and they say this is a big or a key

differentiator from other solutions and it also supports a dynamic business

environment. The second ability that I would like to show you a short video

about this 'Process Ability'. I think a lot of the tools today they focus on one

part of the process but now I'm going to show you a video of what we mean by

'Process Ability'. All business problems today use tools and technology in order

to achieve desired business outcome. Today's solutions are narrow and focus

only on one part of the process chain often failing to deliver any business

outcomes. A business intelligence tool focuses on analyzing data but that alone

does not give you business outcomes. A planning tool focuses on planning but

that alone does not give you business outcomes. Research shows that you need

three business components to achieve business outcome. You need to analyze,

plan and execute. We bring to you the world's first

business management platform which combines these three processes and

ensures business outcome. An Analytics platform. A Planning platform. An

Execution platform. Contact us today to see the Corporater Business Management

Platform in action. corporater - when business outcomes matter

The next ability I would like to point out is this 'Business ability' and I

think this is probably what people are striving and having most problem to

implement it in this kind of solution because all business problems are kind

of linked to a business model, this could be for strategy execution; could be a

balance scorecard model; it could be McKinsey 7s, it could be management by

objective; it could be business model or whatever you know SWOT

analysis etc. And I think it's important that the tool, the technology, the

solution, has kind of support for multiple frameworks and that you

actually are able to do this without coding. So then, when we talk about

Business Ability in Corporater, we actually talked about the possibility

with the Business Management Platform to have strategy as the glue and let's

strategy be the kind of glue that binds together

all these functional - very often silos - with the Finance, Portfolio, Governance,

Risk, Compliance, Quality, Sales, Customer HR, Operations and let Business

Intelligence be, you know, more a tool that should be contextualized that

should actually support the business. The Business Intelligence tool is not the

business. You need a business orchestration tool, a business management

platform like Corporater and let that be the modeling tool where you can

build, configure your applications, support it with the Business

Intelligence tool. So, that's the 'Business Ability' and you can easily say

create a KPI and link it up to the objective and show me the strategy map

and you know if vendor starts to kind of fumble with words and cannot show

you - walk away because you will experience difficult time to try to put

in a business application into an analytics or a reporting tool. Next

ability I would like to start with a hypothetical question or an anecdote

and this is just to do to prepare for the next

ability. 'Why isn't there a standard shoe size?'. Well it's obvious. I'm going to show

you a foot that reminded me about my grandmother you know she has used very

narrow shoes and the answer here is because there is no standard foot you

know that's why there is no standard shoe size and this is also true when it

comes to technology. Everybody says, "well why are you so

special? Why is your company so special?" We treat and we acknowledge that every

business is unique and we say shit happens or you know whether

or not we like it, this might happen like what is on the picture.

So this happens in all organizations. Let me just give you some

examples. Well this is true for all products that we produce

except for this because this is special. We should consolidate all

financial numbers including the subsidiary heir but not this

subsidiary because that is kind of under another kind of domain or should not be

a part of this KPI or don't bring these projects in because they are specially

approved and should not go into this kind of performance measure or whatever!

Very often technology is built on that we give you the column

rows and tables and you have to put in the business into that kind of fixed

structure but this kind of makes a business compromise a lot. You

know business don't want to do this. But this is not how it is and then,

there is a quarrel and there is an argument but you need to do that

there because the system is built like this you know this is the

process. This is how it works and then you need to kind of compromise. So what

we say is don't compromise on anything. If you compromise the people in your

organization would actually start doubting the system. They would get

frustrated. They will get irritated so instead of people have to adjust and

companies have to adjust to how the system is built or meant to be be used,

we say it's the 'system' that has to adapt to the unique business environment and

the unique treatment of KPIs and metrics and a business processes and

structures etc

So this is very important. I think based

on my experience probably 70-80 % of all the development cost in these kind of

projects are actually just handling exceptions. The standard stuff

is easy to handle but the adaptability and changes and the

exceptions that's what's driving most of these implementation projects and it's

also making it a hassle to operate in the future. So in Corporater how we have

done this and what is the secret about Corporater is that we have built a strong

modeling platform where you can actually - as a business user - define the object, the

models and your way of categorizing things. We also have a

template so when you add the KPI these are the objects that goes on these

certain types of KPIs but on other certain types of KPIs

you have other setups. So you can build templates and then we have

this master model where you can actually create one KPI or one objective and link

it out to your business and then you can in the live model actually overwrite and

do these kind of tweaks in order to fit specifically in these kind of deviations. So

that's why we call with adaptability, I can't you know put enough emphasis on

how important this is. If you have been through this you know what I'm talking

about. If you haven't been through it spend some time on actually making sure

that the system is adaptable and can handle change because this is

coming so fast in this global business environment where things are happening

so fast you also need a adaptability in order to succeed.

The next ability you need this 'Deployability' and the way a Corporater

Business Management Platform works is you have the platform and you do

configuration. This can be done manually or you can

have a system actually feeding the business management system, the scorecard

or whatever application you build or you can also use Excel as a template

and have Excel actually creating the application for you. So I'm

going to show you a quick video that will actually focus on this, how we can

use this to an excel template to fill and build a system. So in this short

video, Eric will show you how this works with actually having Excel built the

model for you. The way it works is like this. A customer can start with an empty workspace and begin

by downloading an excel file. This excel file can contain its own logic and Excel

is so commonly used by business users that it offers a very high level

of flexibility but in this we start with maybe modeling the organizational

structure, entering things like perspectives, objectives, KPIs, and then

the related properties of these KPIs and then we save the file then we we simply

upload it and then we deploy the model. Once the model has been imported

customers can control their own branding and in this example, we're adding a

report covers, and logos and so on or whether the

consulting partner can do this and they can begin working with the data and

these are all wired up already with with charts and graphs and so on, so they're

ready to go and even the reports are pre-built and

in this example we open up the report and everything is already pre-built and

and pre connected ready to go. This is just a brief introduction but I think it

illustrates the possibility for rapid deployment in a way that can be done by

business users with no training at all. If you can fill out an Excel form

you can build a model and you can begin working with the system. Thank You. So,

what I like with this short video from Eric is actually how easy it is to

actually let Excel be the file where you actually can fill out

new things and have the system actually read from Excel and use that as the tool

and this is what business people are used to use. You know that they

know Excel they know how to fill out and they can actually build the whole

structure based on that. Let me move on to the next ability which is 'Re-usability'.

and I think this can actually disrupt the consulting space because you hire a

management consultant, a strategy consultant or whatever and they come in

and they do a lot of the same thing in every company they are hired to. So when

I talk about re-usability, it's more towards the consultants that serves you

that they can do a much more efficient process in your company and what we are

for consulting companies is the Business Management Platform and on the Business

Management Platform they can actually create their own business models. This

could be a balance scorecard model. It could be a specific model that they are

kind of feeling strong about and they can build our methodology, how to use it

they can build all the processes into their platform and also add in the best

practices that I have seen on could be target setting could be ways of running

manage with meetings, documenting, highlighting things, alerting things or

whatever and what they can do is actually document the IP, they can resell

the IP and actually bring more value to you as a customer so this is just a good

way for the consulting companies actually to do this to build that in. The

last ability is kind of look at the 'capability' of the software so what I

would like to do is just to show some of the capabilities because that's where

you see the strength of this so I'm going to show you some client solutions

and when I say client solution this is with fake data it's with fake numbers

and it doesn't represent our customers or say business at all some of this is

based on public data that you can find on the Internet. All those are just

made-up things so yeah take a look. So we do a lot of is actually this cascading

we have been very successful in in strategy and strategy execution and what

you will see now is a solution demo that we have built for Saudi Kingdom of

Saudi Arabia and how they should transform the country with something

they called 'The vision 2030' and 'The National Transformation Plan' so how you see the how the national

transformation plan is done how its cascaded down to different entities and

how they are performing. You see Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Health, etc., and if

you go into Ministry it could be Ministry of Energy you see the relevant

objectives that they are responsible for or at least have a stake in and you can

see the initiatives that they are doing the KPIs and objectives.

You can also see how the different entities are doing it you know in a one

view it's a benchmarking dashboard here you see the KPI, the targets, this year's

performance and how they are ranked against other regions and that they

would like to compare them self against. And you can go in on KPI

you can find you know the regional benchmark, international benchmark, and

actually see how they are performing. There is more initiatives and how

initiative plays a role in you know executing the national transformation

plan and then we can go to an entity so this is an example from Saudi Aramco we

have made all publicly available information and here you see that how

they are doing it against their objectives and how the indicators, the

targets, the initiatives, and progress on this is. When we work with corporations this

is another one from Middle East this is I don't know much about this because I

don't know Arabic but this is from the Dubai governance excellence models so

this is actually how we have connected the excellence model into the

strategic framework so this is more like an EF QM kind of twist but it's improved

enhanced and it's also very much linked up to the overall strategy and this is

what I mean with strategy being the glue to align quality excellence framework, to

align financial, to align project portfolio management etc., so this is just

an example of how you can have a business management platform used for

all kind of frameworks and link it up in one tool one solution like Corporater.

This is another solution that we have built you can go in on this website and

MinOslokole.no and this is actually the city of Oslo and the school

division so they have 84 thousand students, 200 schools. They run a very

nice quality program and they work on transparency so every body can go in and

look at the school how its performing this is just translated so it's actually

Norwegian but this is translated for the purpose. You can go in

there you can see how the different schools are doing in different subjects

and if you would like to send your son or daughter to a school that is within

mathematics, physics etc because you want them to become an engineer you can easily

go in and just navigate there and say, "oh this school looks good I'm actually

sending my kid to this school" so this is just some sample screenshots from

this. This is Dubai Courts what I like about to Dubai Courts is when you enter

into the Dubai Court you can see Corporater on the screen there

it's in the reception area and you can see the performance, customer service,

public dashboard, how they actually are all doing this. It goes all the way and

show how they are performing actually all the way down to a judge level and

they do reporting, they integrate with a lot of solutions and they do

benchmarking, international benchmarking they also have implemented strategy maps

etc., Then this is an example of a special risk model you know

so here you can actually see this is a Barrier Management Solution specialized

risk model now you have bowtie diagrams on how the technical integrity of the

platform is and here you can actually navigate into for example the process

area and you can see the process management part and how the status

is in the process and also the barrier functions there probably it doesn't say

too much to you but this just shows an example of how you can orchestrate

within Corporater. You can take it also down to personal scorecards, performance

appraisal. Today there is a popular philosophy kind of coming up called OKRs

- Objectives and Key Results and this is also what you can use Corporater for.

This is another example of how you can put up initiatives etc., At the end I

would like to just show how a BI tool can be combined into Corporater. So let's

say you have a high-level kind of strategy map here

you see the objectives, the measures the targets and here you can click on one of

the objectives achieved fast ground turnaround. So there I come in I can read

about objective, I can see the assessment and this is important that again

actually connected assessment evaluations to these kind of things. You

see here you can actually see that you are navigating in a business model so

here corporate Airlines. You where on Operating Efficiency and here you go

further down and you go further down so if I mouse over here you will

actually see where I am in the model. So here I'm actually in an airline company On

ground time in minutes and I can see average time on ground. They have a

target at thirty minutes. That's all I should be on ground

otherwise I should be up in the air flying because that's how they make

money. So if you see here I'm on a KPI I can go in here look at the performance

data. I can see the development over time. I can see some bench marking how the

different regions is doing. I can see an assessment. I can click on the reporter

and actually see and get this out in a document format with the text, with the

performance graphic etc., or I can click here on detail view and actually see the

value driver trees and that the breakup of why is on ground time as I and then I

can go in as a data analyst and this is special people that are really kind of

given this task to analyze and get inside and they have statistical

knowledge what is significant, what is a kind of average we say standard

deviations and so on. So here I can click on data discovery and this is where you

will find and the BI people will actually find 'Wow yeah this is true'

so here you can do the discovery, you can drag and drop and

do all your you know analytics and find out which airline, which city, with as

other specific dates where we are a longer, other specific airports etc and

when you have done this you can put up initiatives and say I need to do

something here. I need to do something with the quality management on ground

cycle time optimization and start actually building a project here. So on

time cycle optimization as you see we need to do something with the unload

passenger the cleaning crew on board or float pack package etc and here you can

put this in and say when should it start and actually assign this to others

Another important aspect of strategy execution could be risk

management. So I'm just going to show you On ground time risk.

and here you see what can actually make the plan be longer than expected.

It could be Late personal, it could be weather aircraft equipment there etc.,

This is just an example of how things can be tied together.

and at the end, I would like to just summarize with the question that I started with in this presentation

about technology for strategy execution

Does it have a role?

Yes. Definitely!

Technology can have a role if its 'able' you

If its not disabling you but it's actually giving you the

ability to orchestrate a strategy - tell a story

Of course. You know this is the minimum.

If it can create an alignment from top to bottom

That you can actually cascade your strategy definitely.

I think an another important thing that the system should be able to do is to actually

create commitment. The way you can actually agree on priorities. What should we prioritize first, second, etc.,

These systems should also drive actions.

And it should also communicate, clarify strategy.

So there is a verbal component here as well that should be supported.

It should also track the progress of your execution and drive the process with an execution engine supporting you.

This is what we have in Corporater.

and it should also be inspiring without any hassle.

So this is what I had for today.

What is SEVIS? - Duration: 1:17.

SEVIS is abbreviated as Student Exchange Visitor Information System.

It's almost like a tracking number, it is generated when you get your I-20 which is

your acceptance letter followed by a confirmation from the university that you are eligible

to apply for a F1 status and it's basically a number that is with you till you graduate

and that's the way they track you have you entered the country, have you graduated, have

you attend the same college that you applied your visa for.

So basically a tracking system to ensure that your transition from India to US and while

you are there is maintained.

What is TEMS? - Duration: 5:53.

While here at Tufts, you may experience or witness a medical emergency.

Medical emergencies happen in a wide variety of situations,

and can range from minor issues

such as tripping and falling while walking to class

to major concerns such as finding a friend having difficulty breathing.

In the event of a medical emergency, the first step you should take

is to call the campus emergency number.

From a cell phone, dial 617-627-6911,

or from a campus telephone, dial extension 66911.

This number serves as the emergency number for the Tufts community.

It is also located on the back of your student ID.

If you do find someone unresponsive, there are public access defibrillators

located around campus for use if you are trained.

Tufts is a Heartsafe campus, which means at least 5 percent of the student body knows CPR.

If you do not know CPR or how to use an AED and would like to learn,

go to the Tufts EMS website to learn how.

But remember, it is important you always first call the emergency number.

Your call will be answered by an emergency medical dispatcher

at the Tufts Public Safety communications center.

The dispatcher will ask you a series of questions

and may provide you with instructions of what to do until help arrives.

Stay calm and follow these directions,

and stay on the phone until the dispatcher ends the call.

While you are on the phone with the dispatcher, help is already on the way.

Tufts Emergency Medical Services, also known as TEMS

and Tufts University Police Department, or TUPD,

will both respond to your location to provide emergency medical care.

TEMS is our on-campus emergency medical service,

and it operates a Massachusetts-licensed ambulance

that is staffed twenty-four-seven by certified Emergency Medical Technicians or EMTs.

If you can do so without leaving the patient alone,

send someone down to the door to make sure it is unlocked

and to escort medical personnel to the location of the emergency.

Once on scene, TEMS will provide medical assessment and treatment

to anyone involved in the medical emergency.

In some cases, TEMS will call for assistance from an outside ambulance company

or fire department from the host community

to help treat and transport those involved in the emergency.

Once assessed, you may receive transport to a nearby hospital

for further evaluation and treatment.

Tufts community members are generally transported to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital

or Somerville Community Hospital, which are both nearby the Tufts campus.

Once you have been treated at the hospital, you may call the TUPD non-emergency number,

617-627-3030

for a ride back to campus.

Although we always recommend that in any medical emergency you receive transport to the hospital,

in most cases, you may refuse treatment or transport if you wish.

Fear of going to the hospital and riding in an ambulance

should never deter you from calling help.

It is always better to call, receive treatment from our medical personnel, and refuse transport,

than not call at all.

In fact, most medical insurance plans,

including the Tufts student insurance plan,

do cover emergency ambulance transport and hospital treatment.

Moreover, any services that Tufts EMS provides is free of charge.

But it is also important to note that

if you are under the age of 18,

medical personnel may be required by law to contact your parents or guardians

to notify them of the emergency and receive consent to treat.

If you are sick or injured, but are not experiencing a medical emergency, there are other options.

Students have the choice to visit Tufts Health Service at 124 Professors Row.

After hours, you can also call Health Service to reach a nurse

if you want to talk and ask a question or get advice for a condition.

This number can be found on the Health Service website.

In the event that health service is closed,

or if you are unsure whether or not you are experiencing a medical emergency,

you should call the Tufts emergency number,

617-627-6911

to receive help.

When in doubt, you should always call.

When being evaluated and treated by medical personnel,

remember to be cooperative and answer questions honestly.

These questions are intended to assist in you in medical care,

not get you in trouble.

In fact, Tufts has a policy that can relinquish you from disciplinary action

for your alcohol use when you are being treated in a medical emergency.

This can extend to your alcohol use when calling Tufts EMS for a friend as well.

Please see Tufts' Medical Amnesty Policy for more details.

Although medical emergencies come in all shapes and sizes,

excessive alcohol use is a leading cause of death on college campuses,

and accounts for nearly 1,825 student deaths per year across the country

according to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

You should never be afraid to call for help when you or your friend needs it,

even if alcohol and drugs are involved.

Remember, calling for help may save a life.

Whether you are with a friend who is vomiting at a party,

you fell and hurt your wrist walking to class,

witness someone collapse,

or are just feeling very sick in your dorm,

don't be afraid to call the Tufts emergency number

and receive the help you need.

Tufts Emergency Medical Services and the Tufts University Police Department

are here to help you stay safe, healthy,

and make the most out of your time here on the hill.

a different "what's in my backpak" // Back to School 2017 - Duration: 1:48.

This school year, my main goal is to don't be the same as everybody else.

For that reason, instead of a School Supplies Haul, today, I bring you a "What's in my backpack".

But slightly different!

Here I have what everybody can actually see.

They are good results.

They might seem easy to be found, but they don´t sell these at Primark.

If you want to put the pin, the backpack must be flexible.

So you can took advantage of the constuctive hints. Which help you getting better.

It also should be waterproof to filter mean comments.

But just like pins, good results have something wich holds them.

Family, friends and everything else inside this backpack.

In this outer compartment, wich it isn't neither inside nor outside, I have study, concentration and other clichés.

Inside, my musts are organization and effort.

When it gets too messy, you can´t avoid that, other things show up.

Failure.

Disappointment.

Define priorities due the lack of time.

But remenber: you have to have something messy to tidy it up.

Right at the botttom, I have values.

*HUMILITY*

*RESPECT*

And the same way you can´t just ruin them easily you can´t make them fast.

*BAD VALUES*

At last but not the least, it´s will power.

Not your parents or other family members's, but yours!

Your will power to be whoever you want to.

What about you? Do you have your backpack ready? Let me know your musts.

What if Your Partner Isn't Into BDSM - Kinky Dating #5 - Duration: 14:32.

not everybody is into kink although sometimes their objections are because

of misunderstandings and not incompatibility today we are going to

talk about what happens when your partner is an indicate

hey guys it's Morgan with BDSM relationships and education thank you

very much for checking out this video if you haven't done so already please don't

forget to subscribe to my channel and if you enjoy the video don't forget to give

me a thumbs up that way I know to make more videos like this if you would like

go over and check out my patreon I will include a link up here and in the

description box and that way you can check out some of the content that I'm

posting exclusively on patreon and you can get a chance to get some of your

questions answered and all kinds of fun stuff over there we're just building up

that platform right now so come and join us and get in right at the ground floor

so I want to talk about what happens when your partner isn't into kink and

what you can do about that so a lot of it depends on why your partner isn't

into kink and we're going to address some of those things and some possible

solutions so I think one of the common reasons that people say kink no BDSM no

no that's that's weird stuff is because they don't understand what BDSM is in

the first place so people have that gut kind of gut reaction to kink sometimes

and they don't understand that I mean it certainly is a spectrum yeah there are

people who do enjoy beating or getting beaten bloody it happens I enjoy doing

that to people sometimes but only with consent but there are a lot of people

who are much more mellow and even though those of us who are into the some forms

of really extreme play do enjoy more mild play just for lack of a better word

but you know it doesn't have to be you know blood and tears and and screaming

the whole time for me I enjoy some more sensual play sometimes and most people

do so we need to explain to them that BDSM can be that spectrum where it could

be you know just a little spanking in the bedroom or it could be

something a little more intense or or involved it could be you know rope

suspension and shabari it could be needle play it could be

electricity play it could be you know 24/7 total power exchange but it doesn't

always have to be so understanding why they're objecting and what they have in

their head when you say BDSM is really important some people of course just

aren't into kink there's all kinds of estimates out there of how much of the

population is into BDSM and some of them say it's ten percent some of them say it

could be as high as 40 50 60 percent of people out there it really depends on

what your definition of kink or BDSM is so if we're talking about people who

enjoy you know a little slap on the ass and some hair pulling during sex that's

going to include a huge number of people if we are talking about people that are

really you know in to shabari suspensions and stuff like that or you

know some of the more extreme play or whatever then that is definitely going

to be a much smaller population so it really depends but some people just

really aren't into it and that's totally okay there is nothing wrong with being

vanilla vanilla is not a dirty word so sorry

sometimes we just kind of have to deal with the fact that people aren't into it

of course another possibility is that your partner is in two totally different

Kings and you have an incompatibility there now to me that's not so bad

because you can totally work with that so we're going to go through and talk

about all of those different things and what you can do to address them so if

your partner is not into kink like at all no way no how you should respect

that you know you can't force somebody to be into something that they're not

and vdom is all about consent right we don't want to coerce somebody into doing

BDSM with us and they really don't feel comfortable doing it that's no good

that's not BDSM it very quickly becomes abuse so at that point you have a couple

of options one you can figure out whether your partner is willing to

entertain you and sort of go through the motions and to help satisfy

York Inc urges every once in a while and if that's the case then you have a very

amazing partner who's willing to do that for you and you should really appreciate

what they are willing to do there and not push them and don't get greedy and

make sure that you do something really nice and hot maybe explore some of their

fantasies in return even if you're not totally into them if it's something that

you could do then I think that you know that's a pretty good trade-off another

option is to think about how important kink is to your life do you need BDSM in

your relationship or can you live without it if you are happy in your

vanilla relationship and you can live without BDSM then well there's your

answer you can just continue on in your relationship without kink and I you know

maybe over the years people change they may decide they want to explore at a

later date but you know don't push it don't coerce them don't nag them don't

do any of that stuff let them come to it naturally if they if they ever do but

don't hold your breath be prepared to live and have a vanilla

relationship now your other option is to talk to your partner about getting your

kinky needs met elsewhere now I don't condone cheating in any way I don't

think you should go behind your partner's back and you know go and have

you know a side person that you do kink with or anything like that but what I

mean is sit down and talk to your partner and say this is something that's

really important to me would you be okay if I visited a professional dominant and

got my kink needs met that way or a professional submissive and got my needs

met that way and you could you know look at professionals together you could make

sure that you choose somebody who does not offer sexual services if that's

something like a hard limit for your partner and that so that it's only kink

and no sexual side to it most professional dominance don't offer

sexual services so that shouldn't be hard to find you could explore the idea

of having an open relationship whether that is fully open where you can have

sexual relations with other people and of course that also opens it up for your

partner to go and pursue other partners as well unless

you agree to a mono/poly situation where one of you is monogamous and one of you

is polyamorous you could pursue just having kinky friends that you can hang

out with do some kink play with and not have sexual relations with them whatever

works for you and your partner now there is always the chance of your partner is

gonna say no right and if they do you need to respect that and then you're

back to the option before where you need to decide is this something you need in

your life or is it something you can live without now if your partner's not

into the same kinks as you that isn't too difficult usually depends on what

the kinks are but if you could have a lot of fun sort of trading off and

saying okay today we're going to satisfy your kinks and tomorrow we get to

satisfy my kinks now it will mean that you're doing stuff that you're not

totally into but for a lot of us into BDSM part of our enjoyment comes from

either the power exchange that we're engaging in or the reactions of our

partners I mean I've done stuff they're not really into the kink itself but I've

thoroughly enjoyed myself because I enjoyed the reactions of my partner and

I enjoyed that it gave me a sense of power over my partner so those are

things that really are important to me when I play so if you had can kind of

find those things where you can still get enjoyment but it's not necessarily

the thing you're into and your partner's willing to satisfy your kink sometimes

you says by their kinks then that's great it's fantastic of course another

option is always that you can pursue those kinks with the permission of your

partner with other people always always needs to be consensual and that way you

know everybody gets satisfied and you don't have to do things I mean because

there's some certainly people that have kinks that are just hard limits for

their partner for instance water sports is one that a lot of people have as a

hard limit but other people are really really into so you know that's gonna be

a bit of an incompatibility but maybe you could explore those with other

people now I saved miss understanding like pink is for the end

because it's sort of the biggest one and I have sort of the most advice there

it's the hardest to kind of deal with I think in a lot of ways so there can

always be a really bad sort of public image of BDSM you know a lot of people

were very critical of the Fifty Shades series and they had every right to be

where there was abusive behavior within those books they were stalking there is

you know emotional manipulation from anna to christian all kinds of stuff

like that so it gave people a pretty bad idea of

what BDSM is if they weren't into it already so that can be a problem also it

could be a problem when you just say of you just say I'm into BDSM and I'm a

sadist they're gonna think that you want to do terrible things to people which we

probably do but only consensually but they may not understand that for you

that means you know giving a spanking or a paddling and just making a bum nice

and red and nobody has to cry and there it doesn't have to be any blood or

craziness or anything like that so I when it comes to those kind of

misunderstandings the best way is not to say I mean to be a salmon I'm a sadist

but the best way to approach it is to say I mean sue you know like a little

spanking during sexy times and sometimes like I have a look at I have this nice

fuzzy paddle it'll be kind of soft and just you know spice things up so you

kind of could approach it that way and ease your partner into it where that's

not going to be too scary but if you're like I want to make you bleed then well

you know you're not gonna get very far though okay convincing anyone I'm sure I

will get all kinds of nasty private messages for that but anyways I just

start small work your way up I guess is that's my advice for life so many things

in BDSM I know I say it all the time but don't overwhelm your partner with all

kinds of language that they're not going to understand or words they're gonna

hear sadist and be like but that's what murderers

or something right late so you just don't want to confuse them you want to

make sure you guys are on the same page so describe specific activities and

specific feelings and things like that that you want to get out of BDSM play

you can also spend some time recommending books and educating your

partner about what real-life kink is all about I'm going to do some more book

reviews coming up very soon you can see I have I don't know how much of this

shelf you guys can see but I've got a whole shelf there full of books about

BDSM so I'm gonna start getting some of those out there and reviewing them I'll

leave a couple of books in the description box as well that I really

think are worth while buying you can always check out my book

I'll just throw that in there but there's all kinds of really good books

out there that will give you a better idea of what realistic BDSM looks like

and that your partner can read in fact there's one book and it's what to do

when you love someone kinky or something like that

I'll get the correct title and put that in the description box as well because

it's a really good book that talks to the partner of the kinky person and kind

of explains stuff there now if they are kind of open to the idea of exploring

you can take them to like a workshop or a play meet up like a play party or a

munch and I would really suggest that you take them somewhere that is going to

be a little more on the mild side so perhaps like a wax play workshop or a

sensual spanking workshop and not you know piercings and sutures and you know

shabari suspension and all that kind of stuff that is a little more on the

extreme side you know and that way they're going to have a chance to meet

other people that are probably just coming out and exploring BDSM 101

classes are perfect for this it's why I tend to teach a lot of those kind of

classes especially when I do what I call vanilla outreach at shows like sexy

Palooza and other trade shows because it's a chance for me to reach out to

those people who are kind of curious but are a little scared and that way we can

talk and we can have a conversation about what BDSM is without it

too overwhelming and too much for them alright guys I hope that sort of helped

at least a little bit with what to do if your partner is not into kink if you

have other if your partner has other objections to kink then please

definitely leave those in the comments below and that way I can address them I

know in our little online munch there was a few people talking about how their

partner thought that everybody in BDSM was poly and they all played with

everybody else it was a big orgy I'm going to address that in a separate

video because I think that's something really important to talk about

but yeah so don't worry we will talk about that one but if there's other

objections that you've come across please leave those in the comments below

and that way we can all talk about it and if you have suggestions for people

of how to talk to their partner that's not into it

or whatever leave those in the comments section below too because this is a

place where we can share knowledge and I want you guys to share what you know as

well as as me you know cuz I don't know everything I'd like to think that I do

sometimes but I really don't so anyways thanks very much for checking out this

video give me a thumbs up if you enjoyed it and I will see you guys in the next

video

I was the governor of the Reserve Bank of India from

2013 to 2016. And before that, I was in the finance ministry. My

new book is really an attempt to give people in India a sense of what it was

like being at the RBI; not about private conversations and tidbits but really

through speeches I gave while I was there and I'm putting them

chronologically. Here is what we were thinking of, what we were trying to do.

But also giving a sense of why we did what we did. The book contains a number

of articles I wrote including some speeches I gave outside the RBI, and also

more broadly, the articles have written on on economics. It contains some of that

also. So this is really a lot about my engagement with policy. The title of the

book is "I do what I do." And it stems from a press conference I

was at where one of the reporters asked me, "Are you a dove like Yellin or are you

a hawk like Volker?" And I was getting a little tired of these bird analogies as

well as being compared with with all these other people. And so I sort of

started off laughingly - you know in a James Bondishish vein - "My name is Raghuram Rajan."

And then I stopped. I'm in front of national TV. There were five or six

cameras pointed at me. I realized if I said anything else on monetary policy it

would it would make headlines, it would perhaps move markets. I couldn't say

anything about Marshall policies. I had to think. And I ended up saying, "And I do

what I do," which is really, if you think about, it a meaningless statement. But it

made the headlines the next day. What I did avoid was making news by saying

something about monetary policy, which was precisely what I didn't want to do. So it

is really a collection of speeches and articles but which, at the end of it,

should give the reader a sense of what it feels like being in a policy

situation and what the kinds of challenges that you have are. It's

obviously aimed at a broader audience. There are no graphs, no equations. But

it's also aimed at the younger audience, not dumbing-down in

any way. It is, in a sense, a glimpse of policy-making, both the rationale as well

as the unfinished business that needs to be carried on.
