hey it's patti scharf CPA and co-founder of catching clouds the leader in
e-commerce accounting today I want to talk about whether or not the 2018 tax
law changes effect when you can deduct your inventory I've been asked this
question over and over and over this year and I think there's a lot of
confusion around the topic in fact I've even talked to other CPAs and there are
mixed answers so I'm gonna give you my opinion and kind of walk you through the
my thought process and stuff and hopefully it will will help clear some
of the confusion okay but before we get started I want to say that I have done
taxes for years but I also have not done taxes in years so make sure that for
your own personal situation you go talk to your own tax adviser
okay so let's get started why do you even care about this like what's what's
the whole point of knowing when you deduct your inventory so let's say
you're selling online and use you sold a million dollars this year and this year
you also went and spent four hundred thousand dollars on product so you
bought a whole bunch of product you went online you sold it you might have some
left over chances are if you're selling that much you probably have some left
over so knowing how much you can deduct it means like if you can deduct the
whole thing then your taxable income is six hundred thousand dollars just for an
oversimplification for this example taxable income would be
six hundred thousand dollars if you can't deduct any of it your
taxable income is a million dollars so that four hundred thousand dollars of
income that you get taxed on is a pretty big deal
the other reason you want to know is when you have a good handle on how much
inventory you're able to deduct you can start paying attention to whether you're
making profit on your specific sales because you don't want to be in a
position where you are losing $1.00 per sale because you know you can't make
that up on volume it just like drowns you faster okay so so that's why you
care about when you can deduct your inventory so what is inventory and I
feel like you can't really talk about inventory without talking about cost of
goods sold those two go hand-in-hand inventory are those product purchases I
was just talking about so if you bought 400 thousand dollars worth of product
that becomes inventory it stays inventory until you sell it when you
sell it that's called writing it off it's called
expensing it it's called a deduction it is your expense so the four hundred
thousand dollars becomes cost of goods sold inventory and cost of goods sold
are seasaw amounts you spent four hundred thousand dollars no matter which
way you look at it but maybe you have three hundred thousand dollars still in
inventory and you sold a hundred thousand or maybe you sold three hundred
thousand and you still have a hundred thousand left in inventory these two
amounts always balance out and match the amount
that you spent in cash the next concept you need to know about us cash versus
accrual these are two different accounting methods I did a whole video
on how to determine cash versus accrual so go check that out if you aren't
familiar with it now let's go on to the 2018 tax law changes now the biggest
change and this is what has everybody kind of in an uproar is the gross
receipts test now what this is is it says hey here's what it used to be hey
if you have five million dollars in gross receipts so basically you've
collected five million dollars from your customers or more then you have to be
accrual basis which means you have to record everything on the accrual method
if you're under that if you're a small business you can use the cash method
it's easier you don't need to worry you're pretty look pretty little head
about it okay it was actually the limit was 1 million if you're an inventory
based retail business so there are a lot of people that were like right at that
million mark or just above and they were having to file using accrual based
method and they're kind of grumpy about it ok so what happened with the tax law
changes is that the limit got bumped up to 25 million dollars so that's a pretty
big jump and a lot of people who are right in between that million and 25
million when yeh now I can be cash basis and so everybody's thinking yay I can
now deduct my inventory when I buy it not as products are sold because I'm on
cash basis and so that's how that works the problem is in this in this new law
it says if you have non incidental materials and supplies so things that
aren't really your core product that you're selling maybe it's a sleeve that
you know you include for packaging or you know it's not really what the person
is what your customers buying it's just part of the fluff around it
that stuff yes you can deduct it or it says it follows the taxpayers method for
financial statement purposes so what does this mean
when I first heard this and people were like yeah I get to just deduct whatever
I want to when I buy it just in my gut it just doesn't feel right because the
nature of cost of goods sold is it is literally cost of goods that are sold so
if you don't sell the goods there's no cost related to them so I really in my
heart think that this change of threshold saying above this your accrual
basis and below at your cash basis has nothing to do with the amount that you
record as cost of goods sold basically your cost of goods sold just
has to match up with whatever method you're choosing for your income so if
you're reporting your income in 2018 the costs related to those sales needs to be
included in 2018 if you are reporting income in 2019 the costs related to that
income needs to be reported in 2019 you can't like mix and match that way it's
just not what the nature of cost of goods sold is in my opinion with that
said I asked a whole bunch of accounts because I heard a lot of sellers saying
oh well I talked to my CPA and they said yeah that's legit and I'm like okay well
I'm not signing your tax return so do whatever you feel comfortable with but I
just don't think it's right I've heard that there's going to be more
clarification coming on or maybe people are just hoping that there's gonna be
more clarification about this but I think there's some confusion out there
about when inventory can really be deducted I would argue that this these
new tax laws changed nothing and you just have to report your cost of goods
sold when the goods are reported as income others may have another opinion
if you have another opinion and a good argument why go ahead and leave a
comment down below I think this is an
interesting case and I think it's weird so I think it's worth discussing I like
to discuss weird things so I guess that's it I hope you found this video

Can You Cut Paper With A Saw? HOW TO Cut Paper And Books The Easy Way #DIY #HOWTO - Duration: 6:04.
Paper is made of wood fibers, so can you saw it?
For this project, we go full protection, and we will be using some of my old school year
books.
Our first tool candidate is the coping saw.
Or maybe not.
I forgot that I broke my saw in an earlier project, so we will directly move to the next
candidate: the jig saw!
We want to be soft and gentle, so I'm choosing for the fine wood cutting blade.
For all my cuts, the book will be tightly clamped so that it does not move, making the
cut safer to execute.
The plan is to cut a square in the book and review how the tool behaved.
Let's go.
That went pretty well.
While we will discuss feedback later, one thing to observe is that it did generate a
lot of really fine paper dust, so we will need to step up our breathing protection.
Let's now go for the big baby, the circular saw!
The saw is fitted with an old wood cutting blade that I keep for tests.
Still needs to bit of finishing as the plunge cuts typically do not reach into the corners.
But there you have it, the square has also been cut, and caused this time a lot more
of heavy dust.
So which method worked best?
With the jig saw, the cut was easy to make, provided a good cut quality, but did require
initial holes to me made to insert the blade, and created a really fine unpleasant dust.
For the circular saw, the cut feels considerably more dangerous as the tool gives a really
aggressive cut that tears its way into the paper.
The final cut is of lesser quality, and took a lot more time to execute!
So for me, sorry to say, but the jig saw is the winner.
And if you wondered why cutting a square in old books was needed?
Because that is the best way to hide my guacamole...

If You Can Sense People are Faking These 7 Things, You're an Empath - Duration: 4:50.
If You Can Sense People are Faking These 7 Things, You're an Empath
Some empaths actually do not want to be empath from the very first time.
The reason is simply the responsibility to be a good empath is big.
Unfortunately, as an empath you can feel something that people don't, even if you don't realize
it.
Empaths are very sensitive even to the slightest nuances of people behavior that others don't.
It's no surprise that empaths have this amazing ability, they are so observant and sensitive
to their environment.
If they know you for sometimes, they may notice even the slightest change of your behavior
and just know something is not usual.
They may not know how they know that, but they do.
Sometimes because of some frustration, many empaths even try to ignore their senses.
They think of something like that as over reacting or even paranoid, however, soon they
will realize how accurate the information they gather is.
So, there are actually something that you can feel when you are actually an empath.
For instance, if you're able to feel these nuances of people's behavior, you are probably
an empath.
Before we go down to the list, please subscribe, click the bell and watch this video until
the end to know the complete information.
You're Definitely an Empath If You Can Sense When People are Faking These 7 Things.
#1 - Mismatch between words and body language.
Our body is designed to work in sync for efficient actions.
However, there are some situations where they do not match.
It is when they are emotionally unstable because of certain problem.
Empaths can pick this mismatch and recognize what possibilities to happen.
#2 - Tone of voice.
Empaths are highly sensitive people who also can pick up something that does not feel right
in tone of voice.
Typically, it is a powerful tool to detect lies.
However, it also can indicates whether the person saying the words nice, kind, or bad.
#3 - Passive aggression.
Empaths not only can see mismatch between words, body language, and voice.
They also have keen sense to see subtle aggression.
There are always small clues that determine people's feeling and emotion.
Empaths just can feel that.
#4 - Fake friendliness.
Empaths can learn how people in this world interact with others.
They also can detect whether what they say is true or false.
This is also the reason why empaths can detect false friendliness which is only used to show
off.
#5 - Masked behaviors.
It is creepy that as an empath, you know that there is something wrong when other people
talk to you.
You know that there is something left unsaid and they are trying to hide it.
Empaths usually pick the sign from other people's eyes.
#6 - Subtle behavior changes.
As you start understand people, you also start to pick up small signs about them.
That includes the changes in their behavior.
People eventually change for the better or worse, and empaths can detect that.
#7 - Detecting energy.
Empaths also can feel the aura of others, and it may emit different impression from
time to time.
Well, that's the things that you can sense when you're actually an empath.
As a short reminder, being an empath or highly sensitive person is not easy, especially if
you're denying your sense of empathy.
It can be really exhausting being able to feel these nuances of people's behavior.
However, the best things you can do is probably to trust your instincts and keep observing
on the situation, they may have a good reason for hiding something
upon their sudden change of behavior, or they may just having a bad day.
Don't curse your intuition, instead use it to make you be more calm and adapt to the
situation, this way you will learn something valuable
and becoming more mature as an empath.
So, really cool information isn't it?
I hope you enjoy this short video, if you have something on your mind, please share
your thoughts and experiences in the comments below!

Spiders Can Fly! | Inverse Animal Science - Duration: 3:21.
Ballooning, sometimes called kiting,
is a process by which spiders
and some other small invertebrates, move through the air
by releasing one or more gossamer threads to catch the wind,
causing them to become airborne seemingly
at the mercy of air currents.
Gossamer threads are fine,
filmy substances spun by small spiders.
This is primarily used by spiderlings to disperse.
However, larger individuals
have been observed doing so as well.
The spider climbs to a high point and takes a stance
with its abdomen to the sky, releasing fine silk threads
from its spinneret until it becomes aloft.
Ya know, like a balloon or a kite.
Except, those things are fun and this is terrifying.
Spider flights have ranged from a few meters
to hundreds of kilometers.
So just stay out of the wind
and you'll be safe from an airborne arachnid attack.
Right?
A new study suggests that might not be the case.
In fact, floating on the breeze
isn't even these spiders greatest trick.
Because these creepy crawlies can fly without the wind.
Ugh, that makes me feel so uncomfortable.
So how can something fly without wings or wind?
By harnessing the power of earth's magnetic field
to propel themselves through the air.
Duh.
Doctors Erica L. Morely and Daniel Robert
of the University of Bristol found
that when spiders are placed in a windless chamber
with no breeze, but a small electric field,
they were still able to fly.
On, off.
On, off.
Pretty cool right?
Also it is so irresponsible to tease a spider
that can float.
We don't want them to turn on us.
Off.
So how does it work?
Let's break it down.
Ballooning uses multiple strands of silk
in a fan like shape to catch the wind
and float like a dandelion.
Here instead of tangling and meandering
in light air currents,
each silk strand is kept separate.
Most likely to facilitate a repelling electrostatic force.
This spider is almost certainly
using electricity to levitate.
A team of researchers found that sensory hairs
on spiders bodies moved
whenever an electric field was turned on.
These hairs known as trichobothria stand up,
much like human hairs do from static electricity
and signaled that a spiders take off was eminent.
For a better understanding of the spiders behavior
under electric fields, the scientists look to bumble bees
whose mechano-sensory hairs are also sensitive
to electric fields.
These early studies with electro static forces suggest
that a spiders trichobothria is sensitive
to electric fields and might be
what insights its lift off and airborne behavior.
If Morley and Robert's proposal
that spiders can detect electric fields is proven,
the spooky arachnids will be the second arthopod species
after bees, known to use electric fields
at levels found under natural atmospheric conditions.
And hey, I don't mind if spiders are suddenly scarier.
'Cause I've got a secret weapon.
Off.

Arsenal tell Lazio they can sign Lucaz Perez for £7.1m - Duration: 2:03.
Arsenal have told Lazio they will need to pay £7.1million to sign unwanted forward Lucas Perez, reports claim
Perez joined the Gunners from Deportivo La Coruna two seasons ago but spent the entirety of last season back on loan there after failing to break into then-manager Arsene Wenger's first-team
He returned to Arsenal duty under new boss Unai Emery earlier this summer with the aim of earning himself a place in his squad during pre-season but despite ample opportunity to do so, it seems the Spaniard hasn't done quite enough to contend with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Danny Welbeck and youngster Eddie Nketiah in the Arsenal striker's pecking order
Lazio, who are in the market for a striker, have identified the 30-year-old as a leading option
According to reports in Italy from Corriere di Roma, Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is confident Perez will be able to revive his fortunes in the Italian capital
The report also suggests that the player himself has asked Arsenal to allow him to leave the club and put a realistic valuation on him which doesn't hinder a transfer deal
Lazio have been active in the transfer market this week, with boss Simone Inzaghi confirming the signings of Joaquin Correa from Sevilla and Fiorentina's Milan Badelj
Perez scored nine goals in 36 La Liga appearances on loan at Deportivo last season, while registering a further seven assists but could not save the club from relegation

Fluid buildup in the ear due to ear infection can be resolved easily - Dr. Dana Schomberg explains - Duration: 2:51.
One of my most recent favorite patient testimonials or patient success stories is about an 8 month
old little boy and he came in to see me originally with his mother of course, because he had
tremendous ear infections.
He was actually on his fourth ear infection and his mom didn't want to give him a fourth
round of antibiotics because the third round of ear infection antibiotics that he was on,
didn't even hardly help, and that's why he ended up with this fourth one.
Unfortunately as the last resort, she brought the little kiddo in here, and after looking
into his ears I was able to see that his eardrums are incredibly red.
He had actually fluid building up behind the eardrum.
What I told the mother is, there's some adjustments that we can do to the neck, and to the ears,
and just the upper back area to help clear out the fluid that's building up and get rid
of some of that infection.
The little kiddo even though he wasn't super excited or happy to have me touch his little
sore head and neck, we did a couple of adjustments over the span of a week, we actually did three,
and at the fourth visit when he came back in and I looked at his ears, there was no
more redness in eardrum there was no more fluid that was building up in the ear.
The mother said that she has never seen him as happy and as smiley as he had been in a
very, very long time.
That was really amazing because unfortunately a lot of times people don't realize that,
when you have an ear infection, you might not need an antibiotic, you might just need
a little bit of help to drain the fluid.
If you get the fluid out of there, ear infection heals and the kid feels a lot better.

What to Do If You Can No Longer Work - Duration: 4:29.
Hey veterans, Travis Studdard, veterans disability attorney here.
I wanted to follow up on a video I recently did regarding TDIU benefits after quitting
your job.
And the thought that came to me was regarding when you are quitting a position; many veterans
don't always come totally clean on the reason for that with their employer.
Many times, when someone is leaving a position, they say, "I'm leaving for a better opportunity.
I want to try something new."
Sometimes, they say, "I'm retiring."
And those are all things I've seen with veterans who simply were no longer able to do it.
They had to hang it up.
They couldn't keep continuing on in their work because of their service-connected disabilities.
But they didn't have that conversation with their employer.
Again, they gave one of these generic reasons, and I think many times that's because they
just don't have a very close relationship with that employer or that supervisor.
They don't feel like it's anybody else's business sometimes.
There's a lot of disabilities that we don't want others to know about.
Sometimes, veterans are embarrassed.
Sometimes, they've been able to hide their depression, their PTSD, or other disability,
and they don't want anyone that they work with to know about that.
But then, after they stop work, they turn around and file for unemployability benefits.
Well, VA's going to be contacting that employer, and one of the questions they're going to
ask is the reason that the employment ended.
And if you've given them no real basis that's related to your service-connected disabilities,
they're not going to be able to share that with the VA.
And that may be a detriment to you in trying to prove TDIU.
So again, this is not the situation when someone is fired.
That employer is saying, "Well, they had outbursts of anger.
They couldn't follow rules.
They were less productive."
And those can all be tied to potentially a service-connected disability.
But if you're leading that employer down a different path and not giving them the true,
honest reason for that, then just realize that may come back later in your VA disability
claim.
So if at all possible, I would urge you to be as open and honest as you can about that
with your employer and the reasons why you're no longer able to do that.
Give them specifics.
It may be specifics as to why you're no longer able to continue in the fashion that you've
done it in the past.
There may be situations where an employer values you so much and has some flexibility.
They may be able to accommodate you.
They may be able to modify your position with the company so that you're able to continue
working.
And obviously, there's huge benefits there to you from a financial standpoint if you
can continue on with your employment and still receive some form of VA disability benefits,
even if it's not TDIU.
So again, that may be a way to do it where you don't even have to quit at all.
But they're not going to be able to even have a conversation with you or later relay any
information to VA as far as why your service-connected disabilities were an obstacle for you.
So keep that in mind.
Again, these videos are in no way suggesting to you that you quit your job and file for
TDIU.
Unfortunately, it's not that simple.
This is a very difficult and complicated type of VA disability claim.
I'm simply giving you the information that I give to other veterans when they ask me,
which is in the other video, can I quit my job and still be eligible or am I somehow
barred from TDIU.
And then I wanted you to avoid, if you do get in that situation of needing to stop,
avoid making the same mistake that some other veterans have where they say, "Oh, I'm just
going to retire.
I no longer want to work."
or whatever, and they don't relate it in any form or fashion to their service-connected
disability.
So keep that in mind.
If you have questions, winyourvetclaim.com's our website.
We have lots of articles, lots of other videos on TDIU and other types of disability issues.

Spy Car with 4k Laser Projector! - Duration: 18:32.
Hey everyone we've got a really cool project for you this week as you know I
love movies like a lot, and it would be really awesome to go to the drive-in
theater to watch a blockbuster film in my 1979 MGB spy car the problem is most
drive-ins around here have actually closed which is a real shame because I
really wanted to go on an old-school date and as you guys know I'm working on
a spy car right now...
I'm talking rocket launchers under the headlights a
grappling hook launcher in the grill and for romantic nights out a built-in
projector so you have a movie theater wherever you want yeah that's right I'm
gonna be making my own personal drive-in movie theater in fact LG liked our idea
so much they decided to partner with us on this project to help us make it super
epic. They sent us their new CineBeam 4k laser projector it's one of the
brightest and smallest consumer projectors on the market it's
transformative design allows it to be used almost anywhere okay
so I've got my classic car and this awesome projector all I have to do is
put them together and I'll have the ultimate portable drive-in movie theater
the only hard part of this project will be finding a date...
Well that's a future Hacksmith problem let's get started!
So this car was made in 1979 that actually makes it 11 years older than I am and
personally I think this is the perfect vehicle for a drive-in movie theater now
all we have to do is figure out a way to power the projector off of the car and
mount it. Just gonna plug it in and we can see where we can mount this...
that's not too bad, now where else can we put it
maybe something like this
Now this is a rather small car but luckily the projector is pretty compact
so I think we could fit it around here somewhere but we might have to design
some kind of mechanism
Now the funny thing is before I quit my job to do YouTube full-time I actually
worked for a company that designed and made digital
movie projectors the only difference is they're about a hundred thousand dollars
and absolutely massive it's actually really impressive to see that LG has
been able to shrink this technology down into a consumer product that's actually
a very affordable price. Mounting this permanently in the car is actually gonna
be a bit of a challenge so let's go to the computer and start looking at some
3D models
All right so to make the mechanism to actually raise the
projector out of the MG so we can point it at the movie theater screen we're
actually gonna design it in CAD, now the software we use is called Solidworks and
the reason we use the software is because both Ian and I have a lot of
experience with it I'm talking over ten years I'm actually a certified
SolidWorks professional the other software we're gonna be using is called
grabCAD now grabCAD is actually a website that allows you to share your 3d
models with everyone else in the world for free and actually we have a lot of
our projects on there if you guys want to check out our profile there's a link
in the description below but the other feature it has is a private cloud for
you to share your projects with other people in your business or your team so
we actually had Bogdan measure up the projector and create a rough model of
the projector which will allow us to design the mechanism around it so let's
just add in some of the parts so we're gonna be using a linear actuator to
actually move the projector they're easy to use, they're electrically powered, they
take about 12 volts, make a bracket, add in some other parts
and there we go one projector mechanism and as you can see goes from close
position all the way up into open all right let's build it
Alright gonna cut out side pieces, pull that out, set it down, then just have to trace out pattern
And then we just cut it out!
oh really really really really no I'm
No, I'm just kidding we're actually gonna be using our maverick CNC plasma cutter
they've got from elite metal tools I've already loaded the dxf in so I just need
to press go and it'll cut it out
If you guys are curious about how the circuit actually works
check out the circuit diagram at maker.IO
all right now that bogdan's finished up with electronics we are ready to
permanently install this into the car! oh man this is heavy
why do we make all of our projects so heavy this projector was so light before
we added all this steel to it. Now we just have to screw it down
Plus, the projector ships with two wood screws for installing into your spy car
All right now that we've got the projector mounted in the car we need to power it
somehow the funny thing is consumer electronics actually run off of DC power
what you find in a battery but because they're designed to be plugged into the
wall which uses AC the power supply inside of consumer electronics actually
converts AC to DC to power the electronics now a car battery which is
12 volts DC would actually run most electronics but we don't want to take
apart the projector to bypass its internal power converter so what we're
going to do is actually get a power inverter now this will take 12 volts DC
and convert it to 120 volts AC which will feed into the projector which will
then convert it back to DC, woohoo! electricity
now the protector itself is actually extremely power efficient because it
uses lasers we used a power meter to see how much power it actually draws from
the wall and it's only a hundred and fifty two watts that's like two
lightbulbs old-style projectors that use xenon lamps are more like 1500 watts or
ten times the energy consumption as this projector which is really cool so we
actually kind of oversized the inverter just a little bit this is actually a
2000 watt power inverter and the reason we did that was we're planning more
gadgets for the car and we want to make sure we have enough power to power everything
That's less than a light bulb, and it's 3000 lumens! How do they do it?
but the ultimate test it's overkill power supply it's for the car to power
the projector we make our portable drive-in movie theater and the only concern I
have is this does not actually put out a pure sine wave as you would get from the
wall, it puts out a modified sine wave, whatever that means
so hopefully that's not an issue... hooray!
Isn't that a beautiful image
Now what's a spy car without a license plate flipper now unfortunately license
plate flippers are illegal so what we're actually going to do is
going to put a decorative license plate flipper on there while maintaining the
real license plate right here
the control box complete with remote control
all right so we've got all electronics in the trunk now and as you can see we
actually put a second car battery in the trunk as well and that's to power all of
our auxiliary spy gadgets but I think we're missing one thing
Ian yeah that's right a Hacksmith Industries branded fire extinguisher!
Alright now we can test it
Alright so inside the cigarette ashtray we can turn on the inverter like
so now it should lower
Thanks now we just plug in the projector like so until I open it right there and
if you put switch the other way up it goes
Adjust the mirror hey gotta turn lights off, lights!

A stack of letter - how can i make it!? [2Days&1Night Season 3/2018.07.29] - Duration: 7:15.
(They begin in front of KBS one summer day.)
(A suspicious object is at the bottom of the stairs.)
(A suspicious English proverb)
(and colorful folded notes)
(What will happen to the members today?)
- Do I pick one? / - Yes.
(He immediately heads over to the notes.)
(Suspicious)
(What's this?)
(Fishing around)
Make sure you only take one.
Hi, Joonyoung.
Please take two.
(He takes two since he is the second to arrive.)
Please take three.
I'll take one of each color.
(Jongmin is fourth to arrive.)
What's this? What is it?
What's going on?
(It's written in English.)
(He pretends to know what it says.)
- Please take four. / - Sorry?
(He takes four notes.)
A yellow one.
- What does it say? / - Go on and read it.
(It's an easy proverb for us.)
(Will Jongmin know what it says?)
- Does it say "ugly"? / - Ugly?
"Eagly"? "The eagly..."
"Bird." Oh, I know that.
I know what "cat" is too.
(Cat?)
(He divided "catches" into "cat" and "ches".)
(His brain divided the single word.)
(Jongmin picked four notes.)
(Taehyun is fifth to arrive.)
What's this?
- How many do I take? / - Take five.
(A handful)
Do you get an advantage if you arrived early?
(Five of them have picked their notes.)
(Time keeps passing.)
(The early bird catches the worm,)
(but why isn't he here yet?)
(This is where he lives.)
(It couldn't be any closer.)
(Does anyone know where Junho is?)
I love that it's so close to my house.
(He doesn't care that he's late.)
I got a good night's sleep.
Guys, did you read the English sentence?
- Of course. / - Do you know what it is?
(This is easy.)
Doesn't "worm" mean to be warm?
(A worm is an animal.)
- Am I wrong? / - It's an animal.
- You're so stupid. / - Junho,
please take six.
- Have you all taken yours? / - Yes.
- Go ahead already. / - Here are mine.
(He instinctively thinks that it's a scheme.)
The more the merrier.
Hold on. Why are you taking six?
I was told to.
- No, five. / - Five?
- Six. / - I knew it!
- Junho will take six. / - It's obvious.
You're taking six because you were late.
I bet punishments are written on these.
I was shocked to hear that.
I told you to bring a friend for today's trip.
As you know, I'm the Master of Idol Singers.
- Really? Who's coming? / - Are you serious?
- Just wait and see. / - Really?
Let me reveal the theme for today's trip.
It is VNS.
(What's a VNS?)
Variety Newborn Special.
A rookie in variety shows?
Then I brought the wrong person.
I brought a veteran.
Get ready to be surprised.
I'll introduce you to another big star
of the movie industry in Korea.
I can't wait to meet your friend.
I don't know how I can explain this friend.
My hint to you is "Yu Jaeseok".
What? Jaeseok?
Who did you bring if it's not Baekga?
This friend used to be a household name.
- Used to be? / - Yes.
(The friend is currently out of the spotlight.)
This friend can't be seen anywhere now.
- Is it C? / - What's C?
The one whose name starts with C.
I've said enough.
My friend is popular among the ladies.
- Men or women? / - Women.
Is it Zo Insung?
Gosh.
There's an actor Siyoon worked with recently.
- Jin Seyeon. / - Right, Jin Seyeon.
- It's her. / - Of course, it's her!
- On a variety show... / - I'd call her.
- They're family. / - I know you called her.
(Siyoon, come on.)
You will pick up your friend and bring them
- to the next location. / - Really?
You'll have to eat lunch on the way,
and you've already played the "Lunch Game".
This must be it.
- Really? / - Am I eating all this?
More notes mean more dishes.
What about those who arrived early?
- Defconn arrived first. / - He has one!
- You took one. / - That's right.
(He reads the note.)
- What is it? / - Is it a meal coupon?
"M" Am I supposed to eat only mieum?
- Of course not. / - Just porridge?
(That won't be satisfying.)
You and your friend can eat a dish,
which name includes the consonant.
What dish has this letter?
You mentioned porridge. That's a good example.
- Hold on. / - Radish soup.
How about baby food?
(Baby food at the age of 40.)
- Baby food. / - Here you go!
Here comes the airplane!
- Joonyoung was second. / - Right.
("Rieul" and "Kieuk")
Let's see mine.
"Let's go".
("Ieung", "Hieut" and "Tieut")
- Let's go. / - Let's go.
- That's what it spells. / - Hold on.
It can also be "Taehyun".
- Taehyun. / - Cha Taehyun.
I have four, so let's check mine.
Make a word with mine as well.
Chili pajeon.
Chili... Pajeon with chilies.
(It's too tricky.)
I picked these up.
(Difficulty level of five stars)
- "Ddeu" and "Jjeu". / - Can you believe my luck?
I even picked two "Chieuts".
(Oh, no.)
(Taehyun's consonants)
The first one is "ssang bieup".
(Junho's consonants)
This is the same as denying me food.
You have a lot of time to think of a dish.
So pick up your friend,
and meet us again around 2:30 p.m.
in Silmido.
(Meet us at Silmido.)
(Shocked and terrified)
(Welcome back, my friends.)
Isn't that the place you escaped from?
Didn't you used long chopsticks
- to eat jjajangmyeon? / - Yes.
I won't be fooled again. You can walk out of there.
(Not knowing that he could walk out of there,)
(he kept on asking for help.)
(Please don't say I'll be abandoned there again.)
Make sure that your friend fills this out.
- Is it a memorandum? / - What is it?
It's an introduction.
(A self-introduction)
- Let's get going. / - All right!
- Let's go. / - I'll see you later.
(Which friends have they recommended?)
Let's go get our friends.

Why You Can't Just Swim Straight Across the Ocean | The Swim - Duration: 6:53.
BEN LECOMTE IS SWIMMING MORE THAN 5,500 MILES ACROSS THE PACIFIC OCEAN —
AND FROM THE GET-GO, THIS WAS NEVER GOING TO BE EASY.
IN ORDER TO COMPLETE HIS JOURNEY,
BEN NEEDS A MAP TO NAVIGATE STRONG CURRENTS, EDDIES, AND EVEN TO ADJUST
FOR THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE EARTH.
JEREMY: The further north you go, the circumference of the Earth is less and less,
so that can help shorten the overall voyage.
If he stays too far south for too long, those winds and seas are gonna be going against him,
which will end up slowing him down.
BEN'S TEAM HAS BEEN PLANNING THIS ROUTE FOR OVER THREE YEARS,
WITH THE HELP OF JEREMY DAVIS.
IT'S HIS JOB TO PROVIDE DIRECTION FOR ANYONE CROSSING THE OCEAN — FROM COMMERCIAL VESSELS,
TO CRUISE SHIPS, TO ROWBOATS —
AND NOW, BEN.
So we've been tracking Ben.
He's been able to swim at about 20 or 30 nautical miles per day.
It just all depends on his own energy levels, time of the day, visibility, all those factors
can play into it.
We wanna make sure they're on the best possible route to try to help shorten it as much as
possible and give the most favorable conditions.
The weather is gonna be a major factor on the success of this voyage.
SO FAR, WINDS AND EXTREME CONDITIONS HAVE MADE THE INITIAL SWIM GRUELING FOR BEN.
AT THAT RATE, IT WOULD TAKE BEN OVER THREE YEARS TO CROSS THE OCEAN, SO, JEREMY AND THE
CREW ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OCEAN BEHAVIORS AND BATHYMETRY TO SPEED THINGS UP.
Once they head little bit farther offshore, they get into the Kuroshio current.
That's a major boost for him for swimming, so he can cover a lot more ground in a shorter
period of time.
THE KUROSHIO IS A WARM-WATER CURRENT THAT FLOWS OFF OF THE COAST OF JAPAN AND THEN
PEELS OFF TO THE EAST, DRIVEN BY THE CIRCULATION OF THE NORTH PACIFIC GYRE,
A LARGE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE MOVING CLOCKWISE.
TAKING MAXIMUM ADVANTAGE OF THE KUROSHIO CURRENT HAS ACCELERATED BEN'S SWIM MILEAGE
TO AS MUCH AS 45 MILES A DAY.
BEN: I am finally in the Kuroshio current, so right now I know I am getting a good push whenever I swim.
I am very happy about that.
PAUL: Like every good highway, we have maps.
Instead of going straight to San Francisco we have to do a curve, like this, meeeeow,
and go down, and after that we probably have to go up, like this.
If we just headed straight east we wouldn't have all that push, so it's not instinctive
but we have to trust the weather team, we have to trust the scientists, and so far it's
working very well.
UNFORTUNATELY THE KUROSHIO IS NOT GOING TO LAST MUCH LONGER.
SOON, BEN WILL FIND HIMSELF OUT OF THIS CURRENT AND ON HIS OWN.
BEN: I am happy to be in the current but I'm not like,
"Oh yay, I made it, I'm in the current now!"
I still have a lot to conquer.
FOR THE NEXT LEG OF THE JOURNEY, HE'LL BE SWIMMING AT A MUCH SLOWER PACE,
LIKELY ALONGSIDE EDDIES: TEMPORARY LOOPS OF SWIRLING WATER BRANCHING OFF FROM CURRENTS.
THESE COULD GIVE HIM A SMALL BOOST, OR PUSH HIM BACKWARDS.
JEREMY: Ben's route's gonna be changing quite frequently, and sometimes on an every three-
or four-day basis we're gonna be making minor changes to the route.
WHILE BEN'S CREW CAN MAKE MINOR ADJUSTMENTS TO HIS ROUTE, THERE ARE MANY UNPREDICTABLE
FACTORS THAT COULD THROW EVERYTHING OFF-COURSE.
JUST AS BEN WAS FINDING HIS STRIDE IN THE KUROSHIO CURRENT, THREE LARGE STORMS CONVERGED
ON THE BOAT, FORCING THE CREW TO MAKE A DIFFICULT DECISION.
JEREMY: So, Ben and the crew were about 500 miles east of Japan in the Kuroshio current
when we detected the development of the tropical storm 14W to the south, another one, 15W,
that would be developing right after that and moving off to the north up towards Japan,
and a third one, developing in the southeast of Japan.
So with all of this activity, the decision had to be made to send them back to Japan
to keep them safe and out of harm's way with all this tropical activity.
WITH HEAVY HEARTS, BEN AND THE CREW HAVE RETURNED TO PORT TO WAIT OUT THE STORMS
UNTIL THEY GET THE GREEN LIGHT TO CONTINUE.
JEREMY: So it's going to be a little more difficult for Ben to get back out and restart
the swim for at least the next week and a half; hopefully at that time we'll start
to get a break in the weather and he be able to head back out to the east.
ACCORDING TO METEOROLOGISTS, STORMS AND TYPHOONS OFF THE COAST OF SOUTHEAST ASIA
HAVE BECOME MORE FREQUENT, POWERFUL AND DESTRUCTIVE OVER THE PAST FOUR DECADES;
SO IT'S CRITICAL THAT BEN AND THE CREW DON'T TAKE ANY UNNECESSARY RISKS.
LUCKILY, TYPHOONS THAT STAY OVER THE OPEN OCEAN ARE LESS LIKELY TO INCREASE IN INTENSITY.
SO ONCE THEY GET THE ALL CLEAR, THE SEEKER CREW WILL RACE BACK TO BEN'S LAST GPS POINT
AND CONTINUE THE SWIM,
AS WELL AS ALL THE ESSENTIAL RESEARCH AND CONSERVATION ON BOARD.
BE SURE TO VISIT SEEKER.COM/THESWIM TO READ DAILY UPDATES FROM BEN LECOMTE,

Can I Take Probiotics & Enzymes Together? | "Ask the Doc" with Dr. Daniel Nuzum - Duration: 1:46.
Jonathan Hunsaker: On today's episode of Ask the Doc, we're talking about probiotics
and enzymes.
Stay tuned.
Jonathan Hunsaker here with Organixx, with another episode of Ask the Doc.
And today's question is, "Is it okay to take probiotics and enzymes together?"
Let's go ask the doc.
Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Okay, so the question is, "Can you take probiotics and enzymes together?"
Well, the answer to that is pretty simple.
Not only can you, but yes, you should.
They actually work better together than they do separately.
There's a few things in the Organixx supplement line that work extremely well together.
The enzymes, the OrganiZymes, and the probiotics work very, very well together.
They even work better when taken with the 7M+.
The 7M+, the OrganiZymes, and the probiotics all are very, very synergistic, and each one
amplifies the effect of the other.
They're very, very good together.
So, can you take probiotics and enzymes at the same time?
Yes.
Should you?
Yes.
They work better that way.
So, I hope that clears up that question.
Jonathan Hunsaker: Well, there you have it.

3 reasons why Arsenal can challenge for the Premier League title in the upcoming season ● #AFC - Duration: 2:35.
1.
Players well-rested
The Gunners, over the years, have always had a large representation in international tournaments.
However, this year, a very small contingent of players from the club participated in the
recently concluded World Cup.
While players from other big clubs are dealing with fatigue and injuries coming off the World
Cup, Emery has no such issue to worry about.
Given that the new boss has had more time with his squad this summer, Arsenal are in
a good position to make a strong start to the season.
2.
Midfield Resolve
Lack of resolve in the midfield department has been a lingering problem for Arsenal which
has often put the back-line under enormous pressure.
Emery was quick to address this problem with the signing of Lucas Torreira.
His primary job was to provide cover for the back-line and link-play between the defense
and the players further up the pitch.
Torreira, with his aggressive style of play, would fit perfectly into the current Arsenal
side and that's before we even get into his technical and passing skills.
In addition to Torreira, Emery has signed another young defensive midfielder, Matteo
Guendouzi as his back-up man who has already made a strong case for selection in the first
XI, having impressed in the pre-season.
3.
New acquisitions at the back
Arsenal's defensive frailties under Arsene Wenger are well documented.
While they boasted of world-class defenders like Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny
at the back, as a unit they have always failed to keep regular clean sheets and the later's
proneness to injuries has only complicated matters time and again.
But things are expected to be better this time around with the arrivals of centre-half
Sokratis and right-back Stephen Lichtsteiner into the fold.
Both are hugely experienced and can bring that calmness at the back which was missing
all these years.
While Sokratis will lead the centre of the defense, Lihtsteiner can deputize Hector Bellerin
on the right side and with Bernd Leno on goal, Arsenal look ready for the Premier League.
