Youtube daily how Feb 19 2019

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my channel. My name is Karen Closs and I create

beauty, fashion, and Beauty From Within videos just like this one. So this is the

first post for this playlist. So our topic for today is about How to Accept

People that You Don't Like. So it's normal, it's possible that you'll face

people that you don't like, people who always do something bad against you,

people who doesn't inspire you, these individuals who don't like your opinion,

or don't follow you, anyone, anything, or a person who doesn't

respect you for instance. So you have to accept them and it is very important to

do so because no one is an island. Obviously, you have to interact with

these people, you have to love them, you have to work

with them, help them and inspire them. Okay, so there are 4 ways in order to do

so. First is you have to hate the sin but love the sinner. So meaning, you have

to hate the bad things that this person has done against you but love the person

so disregard the sin, not the person who did it.

Okay, so this is one of the techniques that has been used by a lot of people in

order to attain peace of mind. If they are going to deal with this kind of

people, love, forgiveness, these things are really important. The

second way is basically to be sensitive with the feelings of other people. You

know sometimes it is important to raise, or to augment or to better our emotional

quotient aside from having IQ or your

intellect because these things matter. These are the values that we have in

our lives. This is a kind of character building.

So being sensitive with the feelings of other people helps you to move on, to

complete your task, so you have peace of mind, to work in a peaceful environment,

because even if you don't like them you can still work with them because you al-

ready accepted in yourself that these people exist. That you have to help them.

Okay, so the third thing to do is you have to accept that no one is perfect.

Even me, you, anyone, no one is perfect so we have to find a work-around in order

to deal with a person or maybe you can talk to the person. It is always a good

thing to communicate well because by doing so you can reach out and then you

can know what's the problem and fix it. And then, maybe later on, you'll like the

person after going through these trials that you have experienced with the

individual. Okay, so the last is you have to be grateful for everything that you

have. Being grateful is always the anti-thesis or the antidote of being

angry all the time so you have to be grateful for life, that you still have

the opportunities, to work peacefully -

all you have to do with is love this person that you don't like. Right, so I think it

is easier. All you have to do is list all the things that you're grateful for

in this life and then by doing so you can imagine that these things are the

things that matter most to you than dealing with these people. So forget

about the sinner. I mean, forget about the sin but accept the sinner. So by going

through all of these, by any means, you can build your character. You can be well-

adjusted, you will have peace of mind. So they say that peace of mind is the new

success. So this is your time in order to develop

your character. This attitude or your attitude in your life. So I hope

that I was able to inspire you through this video. So Subscribe to my

Sports Work Experience | How to Get it NOW - Duration: 5:44.

- So you're ready to work in sports

but half of the jobs that you're applying to

require prior sports related experience.

Watch this video so can learn exactly

how to get started immediately.

What's up baller, it's Adriene.

For the best sports industry career and internship advice

make sure to subscribe to my channel and hit the bell to be

notified when I post a brand new video every single Tuesday.

If you want to know how to get

sports related experience without any prior experience,

by the end of this video you'll know exactly

what to do to get started today

and be able to put that on your resume.

I've used this method to break into the sports industry

and land multiple internships and jobs from the NBA,

the LA Clippers, Adidas, and beyond.

Alright baller, let's jump right into it.

The first thing that you can do is

create or join a sports group.

So whether you're a student or not

you can join a sports fan group.

And what you can do there is explore if they have

any leadership opportunities available.

So let's say that they don't have any

leadership roles open at the moment.

That's totally fine, what you can do is continue

to be an active participant and member of this club

and see if there's any areas of improvement

while your just attending club meetings,

seeing what the club is about, and it's values,

and what their needs and goals are.

If you see an area of improvement within this club

and propose this to the leadership committee,

than you can potentially create your own position

for yourself and gain that experience.

I use this exact tactic to get my first

sports related experience and utilized it on my resume.

What I did is I joined my school's

sports fan group called UCLA's The Den.

Which is the super fan group of the UCLA Bruins, go Bruins.

Now when I first joined the group, I was just

a participating member, did not have

any leadership roles or responsibilities.

However, over time I realized that there was

a need for the student fan group to have

a connection and tie to the UCLA Athletics Department

and specifically the student athlete .

And not only was I able to add this leadership experience

to my resume, it also opened tons of doors for me.

So eventually I was able to land

an internship at Fox Sports.

Let's say that a sports fan club doesn't exist at all

or you want to do a different sports related club

like sports analytics or something similar.

You can also create that club as well.

I use this exact tact to start a sports media club

at my school called ESPNU Campus Connection.

Which is part of a larger program organized by ESPNU.

By creating a club, again, this is something you can

put on your resume but it's also a way for you

to get experience in something that

you're interested in or potentially interested in.

See if this is something that you'd like to pursue.

By creating a club, this showcases your leadership skills,

initiative, innovation, and then again that

tie back into the sports industry experience.

Which is really crucial for you to gain that experience

and knowledge and be able to apply it

to whatever position that you're applying for.

The second thing that you can do

is create a blog or social media page.

Now the reason why you wanna create a sports blog

or social media page is to really spread exposure

of your personal brand and ultimately share your experience

and knowledge in the sports industry with others.

When you're thinking about what type of topics

that you want to cover in your blog or social media page,

keep in mind a couple of things.

What are you passionate about?

That could be anything that you want, under the sun,

related to the sports industry.

Whether it be your favorite team,

favorite player, favorite sports league.

Whether it's technology in the sports base, you name it.

Another thing that you wanna keep in mind is

what ultimately do you wanna be doing in the sports world?

Is it sport psychology, physical therapy,

coaching, business.

Whatever it may be, you want to tie both

what you're passionate about and what you ultimately

wanna be doing within the sports industry

into that blog or social media page.

And ultimately this is sports experience

that you can get right now.

You just have to create it for yourself.

And a lot of people actually turn these social media pages

or blogs into full fledged careers.

And what I mean by that is if you follow House of Highlights

on Instagram, you'll have an idea of what I'm talkin' about.

This started out as a page that was just meant

for NBA highlights after games and has now turned

into an entire franchise owned by Bleacher Report.

So who knows.

Comment below with what you're passionate about in sports.

The third thing that you can do is volunteer.

Now what you wanna do here is think about different sports

companies that exist in your area.

Whether that's your local school,

local gym, or local sports team.

Whatever it may be, what you wanna do next

is go to the company's site and see if they have

any upcoming philanthropic opportunities or events.

This'll not only give you experience in the sports base,

whether it's even just one sporting event,

it'll also give you chance to really

grow your network in the sports world.

And this is crucial because if there's upcoming events

with this company and you continue to volunteer with them,

they'll begin to know your name.

You'll begin to grow a connection with these people

and ultimately this is gonna give you

a taste of what it's like to work at that company.

Now you know three ways to get sports experience.

But what about when you're ready

to build your sports network?

If you have another chance to watch my video about how to

grow your network in sports, definitely check that out.

The link to watch it is in the description below

and also at the card at the end of this video.

but before I help you find and fix this area of your game

let's find out how to get more compression from our irons

this tip from the pro thought to you buy golf University the world's premier golf improvement program

No Darren's told me

to come and see you says I need more compression what is compression

Well Barry a compression is the downward strike of the clubface on the golf ball

so let's say you hit a ball and see if we can improve that today

okay so when I see their mirrors and not a clean contact off the ground okay

so what I'd like to improve at setup

you set up with what we call a slight reverse pivot

so I'd like to improve your setup and then we can work a little

bit on changing that downward strike on the ball so what I have here is an

impact bag so to practice with an impact bag is all about improving spine angle

and impact position with your spine at that position so I set up to the bag for me

okay just get feel lucky just getting your shoulders to tilt a little bit back

behind the bag particularly so that you're looking into the back of the back

now just make a backswing and a follow-through into the bag and just

feel how that setup actually turns you a little bit more behind the bag so that

you can release the club in a downward movement down through the ball okay

so let's do that one more time and then we'll hit a ball so just feel the turn

back set up turn back with the shoulders heading to the bag okay

fantastic all right so let's step back and hit a ball

how does that feel

so I will repeat that action yeah well the head before the actual hit

absolutely so setting up a little bit of spine angle with the shoulders behind

the ball okay men feel a turn back with the shoulders and hip down through that ball

fantastic

I went a little bitfurther there Mirror okay let's hit one

more okay so setting up to the ball once you're all set up

just feeling like you've got your shoulders slightly behind your hips

like that

okay now make a nice smooth turn back with your shoulder

so that your weight transfers and hit through the ball

certainly feels more consistent

yeah fantastic yeah so just to see you turning a little bit more behind the

ball instead of reversing down into the ball we'll make a lot more space for you

to be able to release the club and create some compression

Well there it is I hope you enjoyed this Golf University "Tip from the Pro"

News24 - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals exactly how Paul Pogba sunk Chelsea - Duration: 3:21.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer always knew Paul Pogba would pick himself up after a night to forget against Paris Saint-Germain

Pogba got his head down after being sent off against the French champions last Tuesday

Solskjaer knew the 2-0 last 16 first leg defeat wouldn't knock the 25-year-old off his stride

He scored again at Stamford Bridge and continues to be revitalised under the new boss following Jose Mourinho's departure

Inspired Pogba has now been directly involved in 15 goals since Solskjaer took charge

His manager has given him more of an attacking licence than in recent weeks with Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard out injured

"We know he's one of the best attacking midfielders in the world, he's got the vision, the player view," said Solskjaer

"The cross for Ander's goal was fantastic, then again he plays it out to Marcus (Rashford) and way he gets into the box

"We've had a couple of good days of training," the manager added.  "Of course, you want him to see space, and find space

Ander was allowed more freedom to roam forward, lately he's been asked to sit. Today we needed more arrivals in the box because of Marcus [Rashford] and Rom [Lukaku] being wider as well

"He (Pogba) had a tough game against PSG, but I thought he was probably our best player - he had two or three players around him all the time

"It was a great response. Of course, he's playing against one of the best defensive midfielders in the world with N'Golo Kante next to him, I thought today he found the spaces

He was fantastic."  The midfielder was thrilled with yet another excellent performance under Solskjaer

"It is a beautiful win," Pogba told BBC Sport. "Today was a great performance from the team, all of them

"It wasn't easy. We did it. We are really pleased with that win.   "We are Manchester United

We play to win trophies. He [Solskjaer] took this job because he can do it. He trusts us and we trust him

"Obviously we go for it, and we never know if we are going to win. We go to win

"

Ask Dr. Lin Ep 5: How Can I Find a Job in the U.S. Baking Industry? - Duration: 25:16.

(upbeat music)

- Today we have Ivy Gichohi.

Hello Ivy.

- Hi Lin, how are you?

- I'm good what question do you have for me today?

- Well I would like to know how you could help me

through this job search.

Being a new graduate in the Bakery Science degree,

I would love to know what are some advice you have

in terms of job searching?

- Well, um, let's first start with LinkedIn.

I think you have to have a good profile on LinkedIn.

This days employers don't look anywhere else,

but your Linkedin profile first.

So do you have a good LinkedIn, updated profile?

- Yes I do.

I make sure I update it as often as possible.

- That's, that's great.

And how about your networks?

Are you working on getting to know people

and liking companies on LinkedIn?

- Yes, I make sure follow the companies.

I also make sure that I reach out, you know,

if I see something.

I also follow some of the feed, you know,

just to be updated on what each companies doing

and what are some changes they're going through.

- Well sounds like you're doing the right things on

- Ah, good thank you.

- The internet and digitally, right so let's

- Yes

- dig in a little bit more about yourself

and figure it out from there if you don't mind.

- So can, you tell our listeners

what is your story,

what's your background?

- Okay, my story started in Kenya.

I was born and raised there.

I moved to Kansas

and I completed my two years of high school.

I started college doing pharmacy and then I started,

I changed majors so I went into Bakery Science

and I recently just graduated

with a Bachelor's in Bakery Science.

- That's interesting.

- So, just to be clear, are you allowed

to work legally in the U.S.?

- I am, yes.

- Awesome.

- And why did you choose Bakery Science as your major?

- Growing up, my mom was a baker.

She started out as a baker

and she worked with so many different companies.

So I grew up in baking in my family.

So I was very inspired.

I was intrigued by it

and I wanted to learn more,

so that was a very good

kind of degree for me

to at least learn more about the industry

as well as just baking and the science of it.

- I mean you sound very well versed to me.

Can you tell me which Bakery Science course

that you loved the most?

- I would say I loved the Bakery Science classes

as well as the lab themselves.

They were very hands-on.

So I loved interacting with students.

I love learning more about, you know,

what happens when you add this ingredient with that?

What happens in the oven?

So I just, I loved finding, you know,

the back story of all of these wonderful products we eat.

- You mean you love standing for six hours on your feet

(chuckles)

doing the lab?

- So basically yes, cuz the knowledge and the, you know,

just interacting you even forget that you've been standing

for that long.

- So taking a few steps back,

why did you go to K State

and how did you hear about this program?

- I knew K State had the Bakery Science

and through Grain Science department.

And being that it was such a known institution,

I wanted to, you know, I'm already in Kansas

and it's a wonderful school.

I've heard so many great things about the department itself.

So I just wanted to be a part of the Bakery Science,

the people.

Learn from all these different professors

and mentors who can, you know,

help me through this journey as an undergraduate.

- Man, you did everything right there.

- Thank you.

- What, like, when you were doing your coursework,

what did you think your dream job would look like?

- My dream job was the one that I can grow

and I can make a difference for the company

as well as inspire people to know that, you know,

there's nothing impossible.

You just need to try and

one that I can definitely be myself and, you know,

grow and use my skills, knowledge to improve.

All the problem solving strategies I have learned

over the years really just do that for a company

and the company that can, you know,

at least take my input and, you know,

just make a difference in any way I can.

- So let me ask you, are you willing to put

in the long hours to be on the bakery floor?

- I am, yes. I know

- Good

- All that can happen, I'm ready.

- Let me tell, we put in some long hours in there.

(laughs)

- Yeah, definitely.

- Sometimes the weekends as well.

(laughs)

- Oh yeah, you have to be dedicated and patient.

- Yeah, so what type of a job would you settle for

in terms of, you know, your first staff,

your first job?

What are you willing to do?

Are you willing to be a mixer operator?

Are you willing to, you know, run shifts or do shifts? What?

- I'm willing to do this shift to where

if I'm a production supervisor, I know that I'm working

with so many wonderful people that, you know,

if something happens we can work together

to solve and you have close to a hundred people

that you are working close with that you are a supervisor

for them, so such a position will give me a chance

to grow as an individual

as well as just impact other people.

And, you know, just make everything go smoothly

and then within five years from now, you know,

my goals are to be in a managerial position.

And then eventually I would love to be a consultant.

So I know there is a road to where I would love to be,

but right now I'm good with, you know, supervisor.

I'm also interested in quality, research and development.

So, you know, my interest is very broad.

- Yeah, okay, that's great.

And do you have kind of like a ideal employer

or company in mind?

- I would like an employer who is very open

to other people's opinions, who is diverse who

they, know you, include other people

with all different backgrounds.

A company that, you know, you can make a difference

and they take your input in and, you know,

acknowledge you.

Acknowledge everyone that works there.

Makes sure that, you know, you're good and that,

you know, the vision and the goal for the company

as well is implemented and they match your own as well.

So, I'm just love a company that is very people oriented

and also there to make sure that their food is wonderful,

safety of their food and safety of their people is very big.

So I would love a company that embodies that.

- Yeah, there are lots of, that the good news

there are lots of companies in the baking industry

that's very socially responsible

and that has a really good corporate culture

going on for them.

- Yes, yeah.

- So, what is the biggest hurdle you have experienced

so far in this job process?

- I would say being an undergraduate, I wasn't able

to get as much of an internship experience

that I would've hoped.

And what that, the experience is definitely a hurdle

when you're interviewing with people from all over

and some may have more experience than yourself.

But really it's just, you know,

knowing that you can do the job

and knowing that you can give it your all,

but through, you know, interviews

and going into different companies

that is definitely a hurdle knowing

that you may have a limitation

in how much experience you have.

- Right, have you ever been

to the ASB BakingTech in Chicago?

- I have not, no.

- Oh, okay.

- That would have been like

one of the best networking opportunities

for you as a student.

And I believe the Baking Science Club, you know,

sends the students who work in it

every year to Chicago.

- Yes.

- What is it that you're most intimidated with

in the process of finding a job?

- I would say something that could get very intimidating

is through the interview process, you know,

you are, it's one position,

and you could have close to 10 or 12 people

trying to get that one position.

So, trying to, you know, be the one that's qualified

and being into different interviews

where you have one person versus five people

and it can take close to two hours.

So, that process itself can get very intimidating

knowing did I really, you know, catch them

to where they can definitely trust me in this role?

And leaving knowing that you gave it your all.

So it can get a little intimidating, but, you know,

as much as you're confident, it will halt.

And you just go in and give it your best.

- That's true.

You know, sometimes, it just takes five or six interviews

before five of six interviews with different companies

before you get the second step into one company.

So, it might take awhile, yeah.

- Definitely.

- How many companies have you interviewed with?

- I have definitely interviewed for a lot and really it's me

not giving myself a limit.

There is a position, companies are wonderful

in their own different ways.

So, being a part of any company is going to be a good start

in terms of an entry-level position.

So I have tried applying to a lot of companies

and also connecting with the companies through LinkedIn

to know more about them and, you know, to keep up.

- Sounds good.

What do you think is your best work ethic?

- I would say I'm very team oriented.

I bring a can do attitude.

I include other people's opinions,

even based off of background, their personal experiences,

or their education.

I always make sure that whoever I get to work with

I always make them feel comfortable to share their opinions.

To contribute however they can

and that their opinions matter.

And, you know, I give them a chance to be

the best version of themselves they can be.

Even if it's a project,

I would take a couple weeks or months.

So, you know, just working with other people

has always been really good for me.

- Okay, so I have a couple of suggestions for you.

- Sure.

- Have you hooked up to the network at K State,

like do you know past alumnis that graduated?

- I am a little connected.

I have had a few chances to work with different professors.

Currently I am a research assistant so that has definitely

gotten me into

- Awesome.

- More connections.

- Who are you working with, by the way?

- Doctor Sajid Alavi.

- Great guy, great guy.

- Yes.

- He's got plenty of connections by the way.

And that's where I would start.

I would start with people that you know

as students that just graduated.

So just reached out to them

and say hey I'm looking for a job.

Do you have any positions in your company open?

You know, can you send my resume to the HR person

and, you know, my suggestion is always have a contact

in the company hand the resume to the HR person.

That's going to let you stand out, you know,

above the crowd.

So that's my suggestion is reach out to your K State alumni

and ask and keep asking.

The second suggestion I have is

there is a BakingTech coming up here in Chicago.

If you can make it, make it because everyone

in the industry of, you know,

the people that you need to know are all at that conference.

And if anything, if you don't come out of a job from there,

you get tons of contacts, you know.

- Yes

- It's something that you should look into.

If you have issues with, you know,

the expense of going there

reach to the Society of Bakery Women.

- Okay.

- They might be able to help you.

Because you are a student and you are a female,

so our society supports that and also society supports

the first step for women into the industry.

So that is my second suggestion.

And, you know, lastly it's just

keep trying on LinkedIn.

Keep liking people's posts and keep following companies.

If anything, just know that you are competing

with a lot of people in this field

and unfortunately, you know, you lacked experience

and that's the downside of you.

You just need a first job.

- Exactly.

- So, did you think those suggestions helped you?

- Oh yeah, definitely, and now I would do as you said.

Just try and

- Well just try some of those

- Mm-hmm

- Right, right

- And LinkedIn as well as the graduate students

and, you know, just see how that goes.

- Great, yeah.

I'm pretty sure you'll get a job here pretty soon

because anyone with a bakery science degree

doesn't like stay in the market for too long

without a job offer.

(laughs)

So yeah, good luck.

- Thank you.

- Do you have any questions for me?

- I do so tell me a little about BAKERpedia

and, you know, how did you get into baking?

- And that is a long story,

but I will try to summarize it.

- BAKERpedia is my dream

of creating a resource

probably for the commercial baking industry.

When I was working in Wendy's,

I found this gap and we couldn't

I was on the floor.

I was, you know, running a tech services department,

you know, QA, R and D and we would deciding,

we were like, you know,

deciding how much ascorbic acid to dose.

And what is a particular dough conditioner ingredient do?

And what are emulsifiers?

And while I can explain that very well,

I can't do it all the time for everybody.

So I tried to look into resource

that will help me explain this to many people on the floor.

And I couldn't find any.

And I was in charge of teams

and I asked them to go look on the internet

and they said they couldn't find any.

(laughs)

So I found a gap and I decided to start working

on this idea in 2014.

The same year that you entered college

I launched this company.

And basically we've been going ever since.

And I'm a stickler for providing information for free

because I believe that that's the only way

that the bakery industry is going to benefit from it.

A free resource.

And how we sustain it is through sponsorships.

So a lot of sponsors come on and support our research

and writing for being just to keep it free.

As far as baking goes,

I've loved baking since

I was probably about 13, 14.

So the story is when I was 13, 14,

I baked a cake

and it was this very simple

out of the box chocolate cake.

And it sunk, like it created a crater, right.

- Oh, yeah.

- So when you're 13, 14, you don't really listen

to instructions.

(laughs)

- You just put it in the oven.

Why is this not right?

You see now so, the inability of that cake to not rise

really peaked my curiosity into food science.

So I've always liked what's going on in my food

and I always like the science aspect of it.

So, when I graduated from Ohio State University

I wanted to focus on baking.

I had a food science and technology degree

at Ohio State and I went to Kansas State

just like you did cuz I staked out the best

in my Bakery Science career.

So, from Kansas State I actually started my own business.

I opened a bakery cafe.

And that was during the height of the Atkins diet,

so that didn't go very well.

And I closed that business and I moved

and I went back to Ohio and went to work for Wendy's.

And from there I just continued my career into baking

and I love it so much.

And I haven't left it and I've just done more research

and studies into the baking industries

and its, this allied industries.

And I'm just learning so much more.

So I'm learning as I go along and I really like what I see

because I do see a gap in research right here

in the baking sciences.

There's so much we have not gotten,

so that's why I love baking and that's why I'm still baking.

- Oh that's so good.

- And I'm a consultant too, yeah.

- That's so good.

- Cool.

- When it comes to the company, what are you most proud of?

- What am I most proud of here?

I think our growth in the last couple of years

and our acceptance in the market has made me

really happy and proud of what we,

- Yeah.

- How we've grown and where we come from.

We started with over 200 pages, like I launched this site,

this small little website just with 200 pages

and I really got a lot of criticisms

about it and for it in the beginning,

but, you know, like any entrepreneur

you really need to just bite it and move forward.

- Yeah.

- But, over the years I've hired excellent people

and they have helped me grow this resource

to over 900 pages right now.

So that's what I'm most proud of.

- Okay, good.

And how has your company's vision evolved

from the first day until today?

- That's a good one.

When I first started this,

I wanted to be a mix between a Wikipedia, you know,

and what Google does in terms of search for baking.

And have as much baking resource for the bakers

as much as possible.

Along the way, people have offered to help me the Wiki part

by providing information, but I found that that method

of Wiki is just not what I was striving for

in terms of excellence and proper science information.

So I left the Wiki behind.

I did not like the things that were coming to me

because they were half-baked

and they were not well researched.

And, you know, I got a lot of requests for back links

from holistic websites.

So I really did not like that Wiki part,

so along the way in the last three years

the more we are in this business,

the more sponsors we bring on,

the more sponsors we bring on,

the more resource you can do.

We can have to hire better researchers and writers.

So we have a team of researchers and writers on staff

that creates all the content for the website.

- So that has been the toughest

and actually the most rewarding of my journey.

- Okay, and is there any other challenges

that you may have faced over?

- Yes and, you know, being a female

is not always easy, right?

You can attest to that?

- Yep, mm-hmm.

- So, really it's just

you have to just keep working

and keep accomplishing and keep executing.

As in anything in life, I think you really need

to sometimes just hold back the tears

and just move on.

And even if there's no one around,

if you're the only employee of the company,

you still have to trudge on.

Trudge a lot.

Because if you believe in your dream,

if you believe in yourself,

that that will really bring you to places, you know.

And I also believe that every day is a miracle.

And when you are alive and when you can function

and you can function well that is a miracle

and I don't take that for granted.

So I work every day like my 100% or more.

You know, I go full-on force every day

and I collapse at the end of the day, so.

(laughs)

That's how I work.

(laughs)

- Yeah.

- And I still do have the passion for what I do

and it didn't change from day one.

- Yeah, that's good.

If you could do it all over again,

would you change anything?

- Oh absolutely.

Anyone who tells you that they wouldn't change anything

is telling you a lie.

(laughs)

But I would change my entire logo.

I would change the look of my first webpage.

That was like absolutely embarrassing.

(laughs)

I would've changed how I did business

because I was literally selling my sponsorship

at way below market price.

So I would have changed all of that,

but, you know, I wouldn't have learned

if I wouldn't have started, right?

So you always have to start somewhere

and you always have to know that you're on a journey

and you're going to get better.

You're gonna learn to be better

and that's everything in life.

Like, you're gonna start, you know,

you're gonna start your first job.

You're gonna learn so much.

You're gonna get promoted

and you're gonna learn more

and you're gonna keep working up from there.

- Yeah

- So it's the same thing, that's how I see it.

I mean, being an entrepreneur it's like being a saint,

you know, it's like being an employee of the company.

It's just like, you're given opportunities

whether or not you work

and on those opportunities is entirely your choice.

- Yes, yes.

- The more scary of an opportunity you have,

both as an entrepreneur and at the corporate level,

the more risk you take with your career,

will provide more rewards for you.

- So even if something feels like it's not

in your realm of comfort in this particular job

that they are offering you,

feels like it's too intimidating,

but you have all the credentials for it,

I say go for it, you know.

- Yeah.

- Do things that are uncomfortable.

Do things that are challenging.

I believe that's the only way you will learn.

(laughs)

- I can definitely attest to that.

(laughs)

- Yeah, yeah.

- Thank you so much, those were my questions.

Do you have any more questions for me?

- Well, what are you doing now

that's gonna help you find a job tomorrow?

- I haven't stopped applying.

I haven't stopped searching.

I haven't stopped, you know, being any best

of a version of myself I can be

to help my future in any way.

So, even the work that I do now as a research assistant,

I do it to the best of my ability,

knowing that, you know, something I learn

over these couple days will help me in the future, so.

I'm just gonna keep trying applying

and just doing as much of what I can now

to make a difference as I could possibly do.

- That's really awesome.

And keep up the positive attitude.

- Definitely.

Thank you so much.

(laughs)

Yeah, but that's good for me

and those are my questions for you as well.

So thank you so much for sharing.

I've learned so much from you.

(laughs)

That's good.

- Alright.

If you could live anywhere in the world without constraints, where would I live?

Learning How to Make Money Online or Earning Money from the comfort of your home or around

the world.

Only requires a stable internet connection, a computer, and a most important a blueprint.

Now it does not matter if you are from the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia

or Singapore even as far as Kenya or Jamaica.

Whether you are a teenager or a stay home mom.

The series of strategies we will be reveling have been carefully selected and tested over

a period of time.

At the GeeksPulse lab, we aim to demystify and find out precisely what works online,

especially if you are starting out.

Hi, My Name is Wayne Fonseca from GeeksPulse.

If you are watching this on Instagram or Twitter, do head over to our blog at GeeksPulse.com,

where we will reveal the roadmap.

If you are watching this video on YouTube, we highly encourage you to stay up to date

with our latest research and test results that we will be sharing.

I am going to keep my story short before diving into what it takes to make money online this

year.

Its been over 13 years since 2006.

When I started my journey online and went through the whole 9 yards of learning...

How to Make Money Online with a proven system to create passive income....that could virtually

create financial freedom.

So I can live the life I was born to live.

Unfortunately, I have been beaten down, I failed terribly and was scammed online.

I never did tell my family about the money I blew away on both online and offline signing

up for training courses and attending workshops that led to nothing.

But I never gave up, and I picked up the pieces and continue to learn as I go.

In the hopes that one day, I will be able to make an impact in the world.

One that frees any individual who is willing to do what it takes to make it happen!

This was where I met Manish who is a technology genius, a friend and someone whom I teamed

up with, and GeeksPulse was born.

The rest, as they say, is history.

In this video, I will cover the top 5 principals I learned from MJ DeMarco the author of The

Millionaire Fastlane Book.

So without further ado let's dive in...

The Millionaire Fastlane is like a yellow brick road.

Paved in psychology and mathematics that put the odds of massive wealth in your favor.

There are five law of effection you need to know before you start:

1) Identify a Need, what people care about

Don't be cynical about doing what you love, and the money will follow.

Unless there is a market for it, then the above is true!

2) Entry into the market place

Listen, if "getting into business" is as simple as paying $200 for a distributor

kit, there are no entry barriers, and the opportunity should be passed.

If you could create an eBay business in 10 minutes, guess what?

So could millions of other people.

And who made the millions?

The early adopters, eBay, and eBay's founders.

3) A system in place to automate the entire process gives you control

Create MLM companies; they don't join them.

Offer affiliate programs; they don't join them.

Sell stock; they don't buy stock.

Offer drop-shipping; they don't use drop-shipping.

Sell licenses; they don't buy them.

4) Ability to scale a system is leverage

The famous Irvins Salted Egg Potato Chips (and fish skin).

He owns a restaurant found that people came to eat this homemade chips which were given

free, while they waited for their food.

Instinctively he ventured to produce this homemade chips in packets which he just sold

buy the boxes, giving him scalability which is leverage.

5) Leverage of Time

Can this business be automated and systematized to operate while I'm absent?

How can I get this business to operate exclusive of my time?

Billionaire Mark Cuban recently wrote on his blog.

That it doesn't matter how many times you strike out in business.

Because you only have to be right once, and that "once" can set you up for life.

In other words, be in the business of home runs.

When the Fastlane changes your life, stop by and tell us how in the comment section

below.

In the next video, I will be covering the seven modules of the blueprint.

Manish will also be showing you his screen for you to watch exactly how he does it and

much more...

Remember to stay tuned on YouTube by subscribing and pressing that bell, for timely notification.

With that, take care GP Fans.

How to Study the Bible - 6; Sentence Diagrams: Introduction - Duration: 19:13.

This message from Rev Philip Eapen is brought to you by the lighthouse.

Welcome!

In this part of the series on How To Study The Bible, we'll learn about how we can discover

the flow of thought and the structure of a book using sentence diagrams.

In the previous part of this study, we had learned that Inductive Bible Study has three

components: Observation,

Interpretation and Application.

Careful observation of the form and structure of a biblical book or passage is one of the

first things we need to do.

It can help us understand the book as a whole and the hierarchy of thoughts in it.

For instance, consider this passage from St Paul's epistle

to the Roman church.

Here's the opening sentence taken from the New American Standard Bible!

It's advisable to use a literal translation for Inductive study because we want our text

to be as closely aligned to the original text.

We place a lot of importance on words in the Bible.

So we don't want to use a version that throws in a lot of words to make their translation

more easily understandable.

Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle,

set apart for the gospel of God, which He promised beforehand through His prophets

in the holy Scriptures, concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according

to the flesh, who was declared the Son of God with power

by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness,

Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship

to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles

for His name's sake, among whom you also are the called of Jesus

Christ; to all who are beloved of God in Rome,

called as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father

and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now, that's one LONG sentence - from verse 1 through 7 of the first chapter.

By the time we reach the end of the sentence, we would have forgotten the initial part of

the sentence!

Even if this sentence was half its length, most of us would find it difficult

to keep track of the author's flow of thought.

That's why we need to break down this sentence into its various grammatical parts.

We need to analyse the passage, identify the relationship between the parts

and, thus, understand what the author is trying to communicate.

This is the heart and soul of the Inductive Method.

If you haven't watched my video lesson on Inductive Study,

I encourage you to watch it.

This is how we're going to analyse this sentence.

We create a sentence diagram.

You could do this in a Word Processor.

I prefer to use a page layout application such as SCRIBUS because these give me more

control over where and how I place various bits of text on a page.

For those inclined towards using computer graphics applications,

I recommend vector drawing applications.

I use the free vector drawing app called Inkscape.

If you don't have any of these, you could start creating sentence diagrams in your word

processor.

Web programmers could use HTML and CSS to create well formatted and highly portable

sentence diagrams.

Let's examine the first part of the sentence, "Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called

as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God ..."

The word "Paul" is the most important word here.

He is the author of this epistle.

He identified himself at the outset.

It's obvious that the the words that follow tell us more about Paul.

If you're on a word processor, you could place your mouse cursor after the word "Paul" and

press the "Enter" key to create a new line.

You can then use the Tab key to indent the phrase "a bond-servant of Christ Jesus ..." to

the right side to indicate that the phrase is subordinate to the proper noun "Paul."

It serves the function of an adjective as it describes the word "Paul".

The other two phrases - "called to be an apostle"

and "set apart for the gospel of God" - give us even more information about Paul.

Therefore, we bring these down and indent these to the same level as the previous one.

Now we have three pieces of information about Paul.

He's a bond-servant of Christ Jesus He was called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus

He was set apart for the gospel of God.

These three clauses are subordinate to the word "Paul."

That's why we indented these to the right.

I use the word "subordinate" in a grammatical sense.

From now on, the more subordinate a clause is, the more it gets pushed to the right.

The most important words and clauses remain on the left.

We notice here that the word "gospel" does not occur in isolation.

It is described as the "gospel of God."

The next clause gives us more information about the gospel.

God had "promised it beforehand."

Therefore we indent that clause further to the right in such as way that it begins under

the word "gospel."

Notice that I reduced the size of the letters.

This was partly because I wanted it to fit on my page.

I also wanted to indicate that the clause is further subordinate to the word "gospel."

The pronoun "He" in this clause refers to God.

How did God reveal this promise?

How did He convey it to His people?

He did it "through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures."

As we observe the structure of this passage, we notice how the author's thoughts leap out

of the page.

The apostle Paul was eager to declare that the Gospel, for which he had been set apart

did not come as an accident.

The gospel was not an after-thought in God's mind.

The Gospel was not a stop-gap arrangement for some parenthetical period.

The Holy writings of the prophets pointed to it.

God had promised it centuries ago!

The purpose of Judaism was fulfilled in Jesus.

Now, you might notice how I move on to INTERPRETATION and APPLICATION from the Observations I make

here.

Let's move on now to the rest of the passage.

What is the "Gospel" about?

It's "concerning God's Son".

That phrase tells us more about the Gospel.

Therefore we bring it right under the phrase "which He promised beforehand."

Now there are these three things that we know about the gospel from this passage:

The Gospel is of God God promised it beforehand through His prophets

in the Holy Scriptures The Gospel is concerning God's Son.

It's about a Person - and not merely a collection of moral teachings.

After making mention of the Son of God, the apostle Paul now goes on to tell us more about

the Son.

We move the canvas to the left and pull it a little to the top to make room for more

text.

I have now included the rest of verse 3 and verse 4 in this sentence diagram.

These clauses give us more information about "the Son."

He was born of a descendant of David - according to the flesh - and was declared to be the

Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead - according to the Spirit of

holiness.

He is none other than Jesus Christ our Lord.

When we arrange the text like this, it is clear that the apostle Paul is telling us

more about the Son of God.

He describes how Jesus was both fully human and fully divine.

Jesus had been exalted and glorified as the Messiah.

That's why Paul refers to him as "Jesus Christ our Lord."

Looking at the bigger picture, why is Paul describing the Son in this way?

He's actually describing the greatness of the gospel that he was called to preach.

He introduces himself as God's special messenger to proclaim a great gospel

- the gospel that is from God, the gospel that was promised beforehand,

the gospel that is about the greatest person the world has ever seen -

someone who was born a man but was exalted to the highest throne in heaven

as Messiah, Lord and Son of God.

Paul must have been incredibly proud to be a bearer of this Good News.

It is this commendable boasting in the gospel that finally led him to say, in verse 16 of

this chapter that he wasn't ashamed of the gospel.

As we see here, a sentence diagram helps us to see the relative importance of these clauses

in an extra-long sentence.

Unless we are mindful of this literary context within a sentence, we'll tend to focus on

the subordinate clauses at the expenese of the author's main flow of thought.

How does this sentence continue?

Paul says about the Lord Jesus -- "through whom we have received grace and apostleship."

Here we see that Paul is going back to describing his credentials.

We bring the phrase "through whom" right under the name "Jesus Christ" because it refers

to the Lord.

And the phrase "we have received grace and apostleship" is lined up under the rest of

apostle Paul's credentials.

This brings the sentence back to the main flow of thought.

Paul seems to be eager to let the Romans know that he was indeed called to be an apostle,

set apart for the gospel.

Perhaps he wished to set the record straight.

Perhaps he intended to counter the claims of those who disputed his apostleship.

Yes, he wasn't a part of the original Twelve.

He had persecuted the church.

And contrary to the trend in Jerusalem, he had opted to be an apostle to the Gentiles.

Whatever be the case, Paul wanted the brethern in Rome to know for sure that his apostleship

had come through none other than Jesus Christ.

He did not deserved it.

The apostleship was a gift of grace - an unmerited favour from the Lord Himself.

There's also an indication here that Paul wasn't alone.

The pronoun "we" indicates that.

Besides, Paul had a clear understanding about the purpose of this apostleship.

He describes that in the following words: "to bring about the obedience of faith"

We arrange this phrase in such a way that it starts right below the word "received"

because it answers the question, "Why did Paul and his associates receive grace

and apostleship?"

The answer obviously is, It was "to bring about the obedience of faith"

It's important to observe that Paul wasn't called to create a group of "believers"

but to raise an army of disciples who would prove their faith through obedience.

Faith without obedience is dead.

The works of obedience is not an enemy of faith.

Further down in this epistle, we do encouter passages where Paul pits works of the law

against faith.

But this phrase tells us that there is an entire body of works that emanate from faith

as a result of one's obedience to the Gospel.

Who was Paul's trying to reach?

He wished to bring about the obedience of faith "among the Gentiles"

And for whose sake? "for His name's sake"

Parallel to the phrase "among the Gentiles" comes a quick reminder that the readers too

were among those Gentiles who were called of Jesus Christ.

Paul pauses here - as if to return to the most important task at hand -

that is, to greet the church in Rome!

In verse 7, he addresses all of God's beloved in Rome.

They are called saints.

Finally, he greets them, invoking the name of God the Father and of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul takes the characteristic Jewish greeting "Shalom" and makes it a Christian greeting

by mentioning "grace" alongside "peace".

Why is a sentence diagram important?

It reveals the structure of a passage or of an entire book.

Every detail comes to the fore.

The relationship between the parts of the passage are clearly understood.

We are able to identify the main flow of thought by segregating the subordinate clauses.

In this passage that we examined just now, the most important thing to note is that apostle

Paul, the writer of this epistle, identified himself and greeted Christians in Rome in

a distinctive, Christian manner.

Check the words and phrases on the left side of the sentence diagram.

It just says: Paul, to all in Rome, Grace and Peace to you.

That's the sum and substance of this salutation.

It does not mean that the rest of the clauses and phrases are unimportant.

On the contrary, the sentence diagram helps us to understand those clauses in context.

I find color coding is useful.

I've used a various colors for words referring to the author, the recipients, God the Father,

Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, Faith, Grace, and Peace.

At one glance, we get to see which colors dominate the book or a passage.

In this passage, obviously, Paul has a lot to say about the gospel.

But he glorifies the gospel of Jesus Christ in the context of a self-introduction, which

was an essential part of any epistle.

But the good thing is that he used the customary practice of greeting and self-introduction

to glorify the gospel and the Lord Jesus Christ.

So, finally, what do we have here?

It's a salutation!

Or, speaking in modern terms, Paul presented his business card to Roman Christians whom

he was yet to meet in person.

I'm sure you would like to try this out now.

Select a small book or a psalm and create a sentence diagram.

How to Disable Friend Requests on Discord - Duration: 2:55.

hello and welcome in this video I'm going to show you how to disable friend

notifications in this chord whenever somebody wants to add you as a friend

you get a little red notification that can be annoying so to get rid of it all

you got to do is go to your user settings you can find the COG wheel at

the bottom left it's the same on mobile you have to swipe the left side to the

right and there you have it press it then go to privacy and safety and here

in the area can add you as a friend just disable everyone disable friends of

friends and disable server members that's all you gotta do you can also

allow server members you can also love friends of friends but you don't really

want to do that unless you're fine with a little bit of distraction through

friendship requests once you disable these you will not get notifications

from friend requests anymore people can still try to send requests but as you

can see that has no effect there is nobody in pending and you didn't even

have to block them they can try add friend as often as they like it doesn't

work anymore now if you go back to your settings and allow people to send friend

requests then of course we can again send friend requests add friend and they

appear in your pending immediately you can ignore them but they can send

another friend request immediately and you can ignore them but they can just

continue doing so although they do not know whether you ignored or in general

ignore all requests they just see add friend that's all they've ever seen and

if they do it way too often they will get slowed down by discord although not

quite sure what it really does it seems to just to lay them for one second

apparently so if you decide to accept a friend requests then the requester can

unfriend you and then start sending you friend requests immediately

one way to solve that is to block these people and then you will not hear up on

anything at all anymore

if you unblock them they can again send friend requests but if you do block them

and they try to send a friend request you don't get any notifications anymore

and it's just the same as if you reject friend requests in general so this is

how you do it go to settings go to privacy and safety

and then select everyone friends of friends and server members make sure

they are all grayed out if you don't want to receive friend requests at all

anymore hopeless helps subscribe give this video

a like we'll see each other next time until then ciao
