Duchess Kate has been MIA and many are wondering what is causing her recent "isolation."

While many understand that the Duchess Of Cambridge is simply busy at home with her

two children, there have been several other rumors going around.

For instance, as previously reported by Star Pulse, there was a rumor that Kate was "exhausted"

and that she was suffering from postpartum depression.

Another rumor suggests that Kate is actually pregnant with her third child, and has been

laying low because morning sickness has taken control of her life yet again.

And a new report indicates that Kate Middleton and Prince William are having marriage troubles.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, this isn't the first time that Kate and William

have been at odds, and the Queen is actually stepping in to help.

Duchess Kate and Prince William may seem okay when they are in public, but some say that

their relationship behind closed doors is going through a rough patch.

"Kate and Prince William are in the middle of dealing with marriage troubles.

In fact, Queen Elizabeth has noticed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridges relationship

crumbling and has summoned them both to Balmoral for a meeting under the guise of celebrating

her milestone of becoming the longest reigning monarch," reports Celebrity Dirty Laundry.

If you'd like to believe any of these rumors, that's your decision.

According to Gossip Cop, however, one thing is for certain; Kate is not pregnant with

a third child.

The most likely explanation for her recent "isolation" seems quite simple: Kate is a

mother; before anything else, Kate is dedicated to her children.

There is nothing wrong with her staying home with her son, Prince George, 2, and her infant

daughter, Princess Charlotte, 4 months, for as long as she needs to.

Fans of the Duchess Of Cambridge will be happy to hear that she is going to be making a public

appearance soon.

According to Hello!

Magazine, Duchess Kate will visit the Anna Freud Centre on September 17.

All eyes will be on Kate as she learns about the work done at the charity dedicated to

children's mental health care.

Hopefully this appearance will help stop the "what's wrong with Kate?"

rumors.

China Airforce moving towards fixing it's issue.. but it will take time... - Duration: 4:26.

Welcome to WARN, China Airforce moving towards fixing it's

issue.. but it will take time...

Will the Sukhoi Su-35 Flanker-E be the last jet fighter that China imports? The Chinese

governments official media certainly seems to believe so. With the commissioning of

the J-20, the Su-35 will soon lose its value in the Chinese market, the Peoples Daily

states.

It is certainly possible that the advanced Russian-made jet will be the last fighter

aircraft that Beijing imports, however, China will likely be dependent on Russia for subsystems

such as engines for some time to come. Beijing has made tremendous progress with developing

its own combat aircraft and the avionics needed to equip those machines, but China continues

to be hampered by its inability to develop and produce reliable jet engines.

Indeed, China has demonstrated progress with developing not only stealthy new airframes

such as the J-20 and the FC-31, but also seemingly with the active electronically scanned array

(AESA) radars, electro-optical/infrared sensors and electronic warfare systems, data-links

and even the cockpit displays that are typical of fifth-generation fighters.

At the Zhuhai airshow last November, the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation exhibited a video of

the FC-31 showing off capabilities such as a distributed aperture system (DAS) and an

electro-optical targeting system (EOTS) similar to those mounted on the Lockheed Martin F-35

Joint Strike Fighter. The aircraft is also reputed to feature a KLJ-7A AESA radar that

is being developed by the Nanjing Research Institute of Electronics Technology.

However, it remains to be seen if China has come close to mastering sensor fusionwhich

is to tie all of those myriad sensor and data feeds into a single coherent picture. Thats

a capability found onboard the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor and F-35, but it has taken years

of effort and billions of dollars to master (and in the case of the F-35, its still

a work in progress). Beijing will eventually get there in time, but its hard to say

how long that will take.

Engines, however, continue to remain a weak spot for Chinese industry. But jet engines

are inherently difficult to develop and produce. Indeed, only a handful of advanced industrial

nations have the technological capacity to independently develop and build their own

working and producible jet enginesthe United States, Russia, France, Great Britain, Germany

and Japan. Almost every other power is dependent on others to develop propulsion technology.

China is determined to close that gap, but it has not yet succeeded in doing so. Last

year, Beijing setup the Aero Engine Corp. of China (AECC) as part of its efforts to

solve the problem. The firm has $7.5 billion in capital and 96,000 employees. According

to a CNN report, Beijing's most recent five-year development plan states that developing and

producing indigenous engines is one of Chinas most important goals.

China has the money and the willpower to develop its own aerospace engine industry. Its

just a matter of time before Beijing masters jet engine technology and starts developing

and mass-producing its own propulsion systems. When that day comes, China will be independent

of Russian engine technology and might indeed become a major aerospace industrial power

in its own right.

Duchess Kate Is Dainty, But The Sports Princess Is Not Afraid To Bring Her A-Game - Duration: 1:53.

Will Duchess Kate Middleton return to sports and competition, or is she too dainty of a

princess to work up a sweat?

Had she not married a Prince, perhaps, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge would have been a top

athlete with FIFA World Cup (she's not bad at soccer).

Or perhaps Princess Kate would have led a kayaking team or served as a volleyball beach

hottie (yes, she can even play in corkscrew heels).

And don't forget her skills at cricket.

Recall last year when Will and Kate traveled to New Zealand to help usher in the 2015 Cricket

World Cup?

Then, Her Highness donned a pair of black heels and a recycled Lisa Spagnoli red skirt

suit.

She put her flawless on pause and showcased her skills while playing sports.

And whether she's playing volleyball, throwing softballs, boating, bowling or kicking a soccer

ball around during an official visit, Duchess Kate is the consummate sportswoman.

Part of why she's adored is her uncanny ability in not taking herself seriously.

She and Will are known for letting their hair down.

In fact, they seem on point in keeping the pledge they made before getting married: mixing

with the commoners.

Today, she's a mom of two.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte and has established herself as a fashion swami.

But the thought remains whether or not she will trade in high fashion for high fitness

again.

Here are a series of photos of Kate, the Duchess of Competition playing sports.

아임 쏘리 강남구 108회 I am Sorry but i Love You Ep 108 - Duration: 36:04.

You said we met for a reason.

I think I now know why we did.

I can't love you.

Let's...

get married.

I'm sorry, Nam Koo.

Why all of a sudden?

Do you remember what you said before?

You were certain that we had met for a reason.

And what would that be?

Fate.

Can you forgive everyone and move on then?

Don't you want to marry me?

It's weird. I was willing to wait.

When things were rough for you,

I told myself to just be by your side...

that it wasn't the right time to get married,

but this...

All right. I'll think again after we find CEO Shin's son.

(Episode 108)

Don't you want to marry me?

I know my sudden proposal startled you.

I still did mean it though.

I'm sorry, Nam Koo.

Don't forgive me for using you like this.

Why did you lie?

The landlord gave you a photo,

and I'd like to see it.

I don't have it. I threw it away.

It's of Min Joon, my nephew.

No, it isn't. That's why I threw it away.

Is that so? Can I check your purse then?

I don't have it.

A pickpocket was reported nearby.

Could I see some identification?

He's my uncle, so we're good.

Yes, of course.

As you were then.

Why did you help me?

You could've had me arrested.

I said I'd recant my testimony about the freezer truck.

I threw away the photo since it wasn't of Min Joon.

Sure, I'll believe you.

I'll see you tomorrow at the prosecutor's office.

I'll give you one last chance.

Come with me and apologize to him.

Then step down from this position,

and he'll forgive you.

Is this Suseong Columbarium?

I'm Shin Jae Min's father.

Could you place a flower by his ashes for me?

What? What do you mean it's gone?

I'm so glad the urn didn't smash.

Now, how on earth can I find my boy?

Mom, where's Jae Min?

I'm not your mom,

and I had Jae Min taken out.

The fortuneteller told me that an evil spirit lurks around our house.

How could you call him that?

How is he an evil spirit?

Is it you then?

Jae Min isn't my grandson.

To be honest, you should've taken him a long time ago.

Apologize to Jae Min for what you called him.

I won't.

If I were him, I wouldn't rest in peace.

What kind of a father trades his son for his career?

I heard he was on drugs.

How could you cover that up?

You're one to talk.

You kicked Mo Ah out just because...

a fortuneteller said so.

You're also responsible for your nephew's death.

Our family is a mess because of you.

You're holding our company and me as hostages.

You're right. I'm a piece of scum.

But why punish Jae Min for that?

I'd bat an eye if Mo Ah said that,

but not when it comes from you.

Why are you pretending to be such a great father suddenly?

If you feel that bad, then leave instead.

If you do, I'll apologize to Jae Min.

You can't, can you?

That is exactly the kind of person you are.

Father, I found Min Joon.

Unlike Do Hoon, he's a decent young man.

You must be happy.

To be honest though, I find it devastating.

I can't forgive them.

I can't forgive Do Hoon or your wife.

I'm so sorry.

Mo Ah, when did you get here?

Just moments ago.

You should've brought Nam Koo.

Dad seems to like it when the two of you are here.

Come to think of it, you are a lot like Nam Koo.

Maybe it's because they're both short-tempered.

From what I've seen, I think you resemble him more.

Really? Well, I'll learn to tone it down a bit.

I'm sorry, Hui Joo.

You said we met for a reason.

I think I now know why we did.

Let's get married.

I should get going.

What's going on? Tell me.

Later...

We'll talk later.

I know something's up.

How do you expect to...

take over as CEO with that weak mentality of yours?

Is that why you're thinking of joining forces with Do Hoon?

Why not?

Don't you think I'm capable?

Anyway, he has more to offer.

What could a fraud possibly offer?

I'd rather join forces with the real deal.

The real deal?

Yes, I found CEO Shin's biological son.

Who is it?

I can't let you know for free.

This information is worth quite a lot.

How much do you want?

All of the TMO shares you own.

You want all that I have?

Let me hear who it is first.

It's Nam Koo.

I'm pretty sure that's better than whatever you were expecting.

Yes, it sure is.

Are you planning to marry Nam Koo then?

No.

I'm going to use him to kill two birds.

Do Hoon and his mom.

I'm afraid I'm too corrupted to marry someone like him.

Finally, now we're talking.

I'm pretty sure that you might need my help.

Inform Do Hoon of what CEO Shin wrote in his will.

I know you're the CEO,

but that doesn't justify you snooping.

Where's Jae Min?

Don't bother worrying for I had him rested somewhere nice.

Mom said that...

an evil spirit lurks around the house.

She's a piece of work, isn't she?

She's not entirely wrong.

The evil spirit just happens to be you.

This is Shin Do Hoon.

I'm Jeon Byung Soo.

I came by in hopes of grabbing a cup of tea.

Yes, of course. I'll be right there.

I'm afraid when you get old, your legs give out easily.

Please forgive me for being rude, CEO Shin.

So how can I help you?

I'll cut right to the chase.

I have a lot of resentment regarding this company.

Could I interest you into joining forces with me?

You came to the wrong person.

Mo Ah would be a better fit.

She's too busy trying to find the biological son.

Finding him will only benefit your mother.

Your issues are with my mom.

No one will find the son,

but finding him won't be of use.

The will has my name on it.

From the information I gathered,

CEO Shin has bequeathed all of his shares to his son.

In the will?

That's why Jung Mo Ah is frantically searching for him.

Now isn't this a good enough reason to join forces?

Did you look into what I asked?

My dad said that he is the real Mr. Jeon.

Then he's right about the will.

Will Father bequeath the shares to you?

No, he left everything to his biological son.

Shouldn't you work with Jeon Byung Soo then?

That way, you'll have a chance when the biological son appears.

I need to stop him from being found.

- Gosh. - What do you have?

You'll have to pay me quadruple once I play this.

Take that!

- Yes! - You drew one just like it.

I've got to hand it to you. You sure are unlucky.

- She is. - Right?

Stop looking at me.

Stop it. I told you not to look at me.

You made me lose the chance to win.

You again brought me bad luck!

The three-card rule doesn't apply for the last hand.

She's right, and that was my last hand.

Stop, don't touch the cards.

How can she be right?

She's intellectually disabled.

How can we trust what she says?

I guess so, but...

See? The rules are written here.

Put that away.

How dare you try and fool your elders.

Kkot Nim, you said so yourself before.

She's disabled, so we don't have to listen to her.

- Don't call me that. - But you are.

I tried to be nice to you, but now I've had enough.

Hold on.

I can't believe you two.

How dare you talk like that to her.

Your daughter-in-law are even worse.

Unbelievable. How dare you compare mine to yours?

At least she's not so stupid.

What did you just call her?

All right, fine.

You must be so proud of your cheating daughter-in-law.

I can't hold it against her since your son is an unemployed putz.

What? What did you just say?

- Oh gosh. - My goodness.

- Did you just hit me? - Yes, I did.

How dare you.

- Bring it on! - Fine.

We still have to tally the points.

- That's right. - You owe Mother quadruple.

I almost forgot. You also shook three cards.

Do you see how smart she is?

Now let me teach you a lesson.

- Get over here. - Sure, bring it on.

- That's enough. - Stop it!

Your arm must hurt from playing cards today.

Are you sure about the rules you mentioned earlier?

No, not really.

I lied so that you can win.

My goodness.

Every man does have his own trade.

- That hurts. - Chun Soo, stay calm.

Mom, did you yell at Nam Hui again?

No, I didn't.

Don't lie to me. I saw the mess outside.

Why can't you cut her some slack?

Mom, let's head on outside.

Gosh, you're so stupid.

- Unbelievable - Hurry.

We didn't argue today.

Really? She called you her daughter-in-law?

Technically, no.

"How dare you talk like that to her."

"Your daughter-in-law are even worse."

"Don't you dare talk to her like that again." Like so.

We can now have our families officially meet.

Good job.

Nam Hui sure earned you a lot today.

Were you here all along?

You should've come to my aid too.

Where's your sense of loyalty?

Nam Hui had it covered, so I didn't need to.

I had no idea that you thought of her that way.

I'm touched.

I only took her side because there was money involved.

Mother, just be honest with yourself.

You've already accepted her.

Don't you say that. I'd rather quit card games.

Why hasn't Mo Ah called?

It won't be easy to persuade Ms. Hong.

No, I have a bad feeling about this.

Find out where she is now.

An evil spirit is what's bringing down our family.

You'll tell me when you find my son.

Nothing good has happened ever since you came along.

You're on, Mother.

I'll show you how heartbreaking it is...

to fail to protect your son.

Yoon, it's me. Are there any news on Min Joon?

Yes, I see.

I know it isn't easy, but keep searching.

There's no need to sit.

If this is about Jae Min, I won't apologize.

That's not why I'm here.

Then what is this about?

You should get rid of the real evil spirit,

and that's Do Hoon.

Are you trying to annoy me?

I've even been wondering if I should do an exorcism.

Don't you worry though.

When Min Joon appears, he'll have to step down.

How about you join me and actually do an exorcism?

How?

I found your biological son.

You're lying.

If you really had, you wouldn't have told me.

Who cares if it's a lie. We just need to fool Do Hoon.

What exactly is your plan?

Do you know about the scar on Nam Koo's arm?

So you want to trick Do Hoon into thinking Nam Koo's my son?

Yes, I even let Do Hoon know of what's written in the will.

What?

Why would you do that?

It'll make him act irrationally...

just like he did when he ran over Father.

Nam Koo might get hurt.

You said it yourself that Do Hoon will do anything.

That'll put Do Hoon in prison then.

But you love Nam Koo.

Are you sure you can go through with this?

You dropping Jae Min's urn...

was like a wake-up call.

You see,

it made me see how foolish I was to think about love.

Well, I'm glad you finally came to your senses,

but it won't work.

Do Hoon will do a DNA test on Nam Koo.

We won't give him time to do one.

We won't give him the chance?

I won't care if Nam Koo gets hurt.

I'll take that as your word of agreement.

You should be the one to persuade Nam Koo though.

Why? Shouldn't it come from you?

If it were my idea, he wouldn't agree to it.

It'd be more natural coming from you.

The fortuneteller was right. No evil spirit opened a new door.

All right.

I'll try and get Nam Koo on board.

This isn't what you promised.

I changed my mind.

You can repent on your wrongdoings while on the run.

I sincerely apologize.

Just don't plot with Myung Sook.

Sooner or later, she'll stab you in the back.

Recant your testimony, and I'll help you get revenge.

Hand me your shares. I'll believe you then.

You want my shares to kick Do Hoon out,

but they're not enough.

What if I combined that with those of Jeon Byung Soo?

Wouldn't I have enough then?

He holds a grudge against the company.

I can't let my shares fall into his hands.

Then I can't help you.

Call me if you change your mind.

Could I pass off Nam Koo as my biological son?

Without a DNA test, there's no way to prove otherwise.

All right, let's give it a shot.

Mo Ah, like you said...

Tae Jin.

What on earth are you and Mo Ah planning?

Stay out of it and go back to lockup...

before I call the police.

Get me out of custody,

so I can find your son.

No, I won't let you fool me again.

Drop the act already.

We're in this mess because of what you did.

I know. That's why I'm here.

We should think of Tae Hak.

If that's how you feel, find Min Joon for us.

Then I'll get you out of prison.

I'm a bit busy, so you'll have to eat alone.

Come to think of it, we shouldn't be on bad terms.

Anyway, I know it hasn't been easy to locate Min Joon.

If that's an issue, I can always resign.

Why would I possibly want that?

I consider you as a friend.

You won't be able to find Min Joon though.

I won't let you.

Do your worst.

Right, I have nothing to lose.

No one will end up dead.

Do you know who I hate the most?

It's the biological son.

I'm sure the feeling's mutual.

Warn him once you find him.

- We don't want a freak accident. - Is that a threat?

Of course not. It's a friendly advice.

Nam Koo, can I have a word?

Maybe later. Right now, we have an important meeting.

This is more pressing, so take a number.

This is the office.

What can be more pressing than work?

My business is, so stay out of it.

Nam Koo, let's go.

Come on.

So you want me to play your biological son?

That's right.

You saw how arrogant Do Hoon has become.

He won't let you find my son easily.

Warn him once you find him.

We don't want a freak accident.

You might be all right, but Mo Ah will get hurt.

Until when will you let her be this way?

You should get married and move on with your life.

So what do you suggest?

It's simple.

I'll somehow let Do Hoon know that you're my biological son.

He'll then make his move.

Mo Ah won't like this.

That's up to you. Just think about this though.

Unless you stop Mo Ah now,

something bad will happen to her.

You might be all right, but Mo Ah will get hurt.

Until when will you let her be this way?

Just think about this though.

Unless you stop Mo Ah now, something bad will happen to her.

Nam Koo will come to you.

He's on the fence, so close the deal.

Sure.

Mo Ah.

Finding the son hasn't been easy,

and it'll be a mess if CEO Shin dies.

So what do you think...

about me fooling Do Hoon as the son?

I mean...

I have the scar on my arm, so I can lure him to...

Sure, you should do that.

Okay.

We'll go through with it then. It won't be too dangerous.

I'll be the bait, so act like you know nothing.

All right.

Ms. Kim, I heard Nam Koo was in a car accident too as a boy.

Sorry?

Why do you suddenly ask?

He just reminded me of Min Joon.

It must've hurt.

What now?

I have urgent news.

I'd rather you tell me tomorrow.

What?

Let me excuse myself.

Ms. Kim, thank you for dinner.

Could they have found Min Joon?

This is the DNA test we ran on Nam Koo.

(DNA Test Report)

(Familial DNA Match)

I honestly had my doubts.

So where is Nam Koo now?

He's at the office. What should I do?

No one can know of this.

Especially Do Hoon.

From the information I gathered,

CEO Shin has bequeathed all of his shares to his son.

Yes, Ms. Hong.

Do Hoon is on his way. Don't mess this up.

I won't.

Do Hoon's on his way, so do as planned.

Of course.

What are you doing here?

Don't you have someone to find?

There's no need to find him anymore.

Nam Koo, can we talk?

Talk here. I was on my way home anyway.

Nam Koo, we should go to CEO Shin tomorrow.

Yes, I'd like that.

I'm sorry, Nam Koo.

Don't you ever forgive me.

Let me ask you a few things.

What's your blood type?

Why do you ask?

You'll need a passport to meet the Chinese clients.

They're very picky.

How stupid do you think I am?

I know blood type isn't at all needed.

What's wrong? Is your blood type a secret?

I'm type O.

What was your father like?

I don't remember. He died when I was young.

Where you did live as a boy?

Why on earth would you ask that?

- Roll up your sleeve. - Why?

Just do as I say.

Yes, Ms. Hong.

Right now?

Can't it wait until tomorrow?

All right, I'll be there.

Where is she meeting you?

You're curious about that too?

The Sky Park. Are you satisfied now?

No way.

How can Nam Koo be Min Joon?

No, it can't be.

What if he is though?

Everything's set.

Nam Koo might end up getting hurt.

He might even die. Are you okay with that?

Ms. Hong is at the park, so you can wait at home.

- All right. - I'll get going then.

Don't worry and stay positive.

Hold on.

What is it?

Mother called just now to cancel today's plans.

Really? I'll call to confirm.

Don't you trust me?

Anyway, she said she'd be in touch.

Of course. I get it.

We should go home. I'll walk you there.

I have to stay and finish up some work.

Sure. I'll see you then.

Nam Koo.

Thank you.

If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have come this far.

Goodbye.

What's with the sentimental farewell?

I'll see you.

Make sure you get everything on camera.

Ma'am, do you think Do Hoon will show up?

Even if he doesn't, we're not losing out on anything.

Where is Nam Koo though?

That reminds me.

Ms. Hong asked about the car accident you were in.

It's nothing. Don't worry about it.

Yes, Ms. Hong.

Where are you? Why aren't you here?

I'm home.

Why are you at home...

when the plan's in motion?

Mother called just now to cancel today's plans.

Nam Koo!

Where is he going without finishing dinner?

Maybe he went to yell at Ms. Hong.

I knew you shouldn't have been cooking there.

Do you know who I hate the most?

It's the biological son.

This is the DNA test we ran on Nam Koo.

So where is Nam Koo now?

No one can know of this.

Especially Do Hoon.

What are you doing here?

Don't you have someone to find?

There's no need to find him anymore.

CEO Shin has bequeathed all of his shares to his son.

What on earth is going on?

There he is.

Thank you.

If it weren't for you,

I wouldn't have come this far.

Goodbye.

Shaun Johnson: I've let the Warriors down, but things will change - Duration: 4:03.

Shaun Johnson: I've let the Warriors down, but things will change

Shaun Johnson after a Warriors loss. Frustrated Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson admits he is struggling but says the sides problems are team-wide rather than down to any individuals.

Nothing has gone right for the Kiwis playmaker since the Anzac test loss to Australia in Canberra three weeks ago, and Johnson knows he has let his teammates down in consecutive NRL defeats to Penrith and St George Illawarra over the past fortnight.

The 26-year-olds defence, kicking and attacking play have all come in for criticism and he is under pressure to get the Warriors back on track in Saturdays NRL clash against Brisbane at Mt Smart Stadium.

I definitely think over the last couple of weeks Ive let them down, said Johnson.

Theres a lot of people that think they know the answer and theres a lot of different answers coming from a lot of different directions, but I cant actually tell you why it hasnt clicked for me or the team.

I went into the (Dragons) game feeling really good, really fresh and excited about playing, and as long as I can get myself there every week, I know it will happen for me. It will come, it will click for me..

Privately, in the wake of the last two results, the players have been honest with one another about their own individual failings, but publicly, and not unexpectedly, the group blanket their problems as collective concerns.

Johnson admits they have lacked physicality and toughness across the board, but denies his fragile right side combinations with back-rower Bodene Thompson and centre David Fusitua are responsible for numerous defensive blunders. No, again its a collective thing, he said.

You look at something happening on an edge and Im telling you nine times out of 10 it doesnt break down there.

Its broken down somewhere else, which leads to a wrong decision being made, or a correct decision, but you get out-played.

Its easy to look at that area or individuals specifically and try to say thats why theyre not playing well but its a collective thing.

This is a team sport and we know that as a group and thats why were working hard together and not singling out anyone.

Kearney has remained firm in his selections and stuck by his players, mindful of the need to help nurse them through yet another dark period, reminiscent of so many others from recent years.

Conscious of the fact his No7 is a lightning rod for criticism and praise, depending on the clubs fortunes, Kearney has been impressed with Johnsons attitude in the lead-up to the clash against the Broncos. Hes responded really well, said Kearney.

For some of the players here there is a revisiting of some bad scarring, but Shauns been wonderful in the sense that he has been trying to fight and work his way out of it.

His execution on a couple of occasions probably isnt exactly where he wants it, but I admire the courage that he is showing in facing it down.

Its up to me and everyone here to make sure that we have a clear focus of where were going.

It was never going to be a smooth ride to go where we want to go but its a matter of staying on track and not getting knocked off the rails or side-tracked by everything on the outside.

Nathaniel Clyne 2016/17 Season Review: Solid and consistent but limited in attack - Duration: 8:28.

Nathaniel Clyne 2016/17 Season Review: Solid and consistent but limited in attack

Nathaniel Clyne played all but one of Liverpool's Premier League games, with his consistent presence and performances ensuring another solid campaign.

After an impressively consistent debut campaign, it was hoped Clyne would build again to become the perfect right-back it seemed he could be in Jurgen Klopp's developing team.

However, a season set for Clyne to really elevate his game to the next level instead saw near enough more of the same delivered.

This was by no means a bad thing, with the Reds' No. 2 producing another solid campaign, but it ultimately left you wanting more and wondering whether he offers enough for Klopp's growing side.

Started: 40On as sub: 1Unused sub: 2Goals: 0Assists: 3Average TIA Rating: 6. 45 (Rank = 13th).

Minimum expectation for Clyne in 2016/17 was to continue providing a dependable presence at right-back.

And though not quite as smooth a campaign, displayed by his TIA average rating dropping slightly to 6. 58 in 2015/16, Clyne delivered with a similarly defensively stable season.

Mr Consistent of Klopp's team, Clyne was anything but in his opening games however.

A solid 6/10 opening display at Arsenal – where he claimed a first assist of the season for Philippe Coutinho – was followed by a dire 4/10 at Burnley and 8/10 in 5-0 victory at Burton Albion, where he set up Roberto Firmino.

But Clyne settled well after an uncharacteristically erratic but pleasingly productive start.

He dropped below 7/10 in just two of his next 11 games as his strong form mirrored Liverpool's – something we noted last season too – with a particularly bright outing in victory at Chelsea.

This solid run set the tone for Clyne, who posted lower than 6/10 in just seven of 41 appearances, illustrating his remarkable consistency.

Though difficult to recall a genuine standout game, rarely did Clyne have a bad one – a shining display against Tottenham at Anfield and the Burnley nightmare perhaps the only exceptions to both.

This solid if unspectacular style should take nothing away from Clyne, who doesn't always receive the credit his reliability deserves. Perhaps his minimum fuss attitude and practical ever-presence – also praiseworthy factors – contributes to him being taken for granted somewhat.

But you always know what you're going to get from Clyne, and while this frustrates in certain aspects, his stability is certainly welcome. Defensively diligent, limited in attack.

That Clyne was so assured in a notoriously unstable back-line is a testament to his defensive capability – which is the best part of his game.

Very rarely did he struggle defensively with his solidity and understanding – helped by his athleticism and awareness to danger – ensuring the vast majority of opponents were nullified.

It's hard to recall any opponent genuinely troubling Clyne, who superbly shut-down arguably the toughest of all in Eden Hazard in his impressive Stamford Bridge showing. Indeed, as far as defensive full-backs go we can't ask for much more.

Where more is wanted from Clyne though is his attacking contribution, which underwhelmed and remains the key dimension missing from his game.

It seemed he had added it when an electric start saw him post two assists in the first three games with brilliant crosses for Coutinho and Firmino.

But after those he disappointingly claimed just one more set-up all season – delivering a perfect cross for Adam Lallana in victory at Middlesbrough in December.

That assist saw Clyne beat last season's total, but given Liverpool's domination at times, just three assists – two of which came in August – and no goals compared to two in 15/16 is underwhelming.

The big issue was that his lack of attacking intent and production proved problematic – especially as the season wore on and Liverpool faced packed, deep-sitting defences almost every game.

A marauding presence to stretch opponents and break in from wide was needed but Clyne failed to provide, often too slow to join in.

Combined with his lack of crossing quality and safety in possession, Clyne carried nowhere near the attacking threat required. He certainly must improve his offensive influence, and this limitation gives Klopp something to consider over the right-back's future as Liverpool evolve.

Improvements & role in 2017/18.

Clyne will almost certainly open next season as Liverpool's right-back for a third consecutive campaign.

He has proved himself a consistent performer, selfless team player and reliable with fitness – all of which makes him worthy of keeping the position he's made his own.

Attacking improvement is needed though, with Clyne required to become a more complete full-back as the Reds return to the Champions League.

There's reason to believe he can't provide this, having shown glimpses, and must do so by taking more risks on the ball in the final third and using his pace to excel in offensive 1-v-1 situations the same way he does defensively.

This should persuade Klopp not to sign a more rounded option for the time being, especially as Clyne can hold the berth while a potentially more complete star in Trent Alexander-Arnold develops.

Clyne should continue as first choice, but the youngster should be trusted to step in more regularly, keeping the England defender fresh and continuing his own progress to first-team player.

After 12 appearances this season, Alexander-Arnold will provide genuine competition for Clyne, which will hopefully inspire more complete performances next season.

2 doesn't deliver he could find himself looking over his shoulder before too long, but more defensive security and an attacking improvement will ensure of another positive season.

Sturridge all class but future uncertain as Moreno says goodbye in style - Duration: 10:06.

Sturridge all class but future uncertain as Moreno says goodbye in style

Past, present and future in Sydney. There was a reminder of the club's glorious past, a celebration of the present and a nod to the future at the ANZ Stadium.

Liverpool's end of season friendly was a resounding success as they departed with both their reputation and their back balance enhanced after thrilling a crowd of 72,892.

A depleted Sydney FC side were beaten 3-0. But for some wasteful finishing and generous refereeing, the margin of victory would have been much greater.

The inclusion of Istanbul heroes Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher in the starting line up proved a big hit with Aussie Reds.

Gerrard may have hung up his boots but his box office appeal shows no sign of waning. Not many people can command a standing ovation from thousands just for trotting over to take a corner.

The longest serving captain in the club's history spearheaded Liverpool's first-half assault on the hosts as he linked up with Roberto Firmino intelligently.

What an education for youngsters Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ben Woodburn and Harry Wilson alongside Gerrard, who was somehow denied a penalty after being barged over on the stroke of half-time.

Behind him, Carragher lined up alongside the man bought to replace him for £20million three years ago. Dejan Lovren has so far been unable to fill those sizeable boots.

There are still too many mistakes in the Croatian defender but there was nothing for either of them to worry about here.

Carragher showed he's not lost his combative edge by flattening striker George Blackwood and also made a couple of trademark blocks. Sturridge quality shines through but future uncertain.

Having helped propel Liverpool into the Champions League by starting the final two Premier League matches, Daniel Sturridge lit up the Reds' appearance Down Under.

The A-League champions had no answer to Sturridge's twinkle toes as his skill, speed and finishing prowess tormented the hosts during a one-sided first half.

The England international clinically dispatched the first goal and created the third for Firmino before being substituted at the break.

The 2016/17 campaign will go down as one of huge disappointment for Sturridge. He started just seven league matches and scored just three league goals – not much of a return for a £150,000 per week frontman.

For the third successive season he was hampered by injuries but even when fit there were times when he was behind both Firmino and Divock Origi in the pecking order. His quality is undeniable but his future remains uncertain.

Does Klopp persevere or does he decide the time is right to cash in having given up hope of being able to rely on him?.

Will Sturridge, who has two years remaining on his contract, want to stick around if he's not going to be first choice?. Surely, it will hinge on what offers come in for him. All will become much clearer over the coming weeks.

Moreno says goodbye in style. It was far too little, far too late, but for Alberto Moreno it was still a decent way to say goodbye.

The Spanish left-back bagged the Reds' second goal after being picked out by a delightful scooped pass from Firmino. Moreno's first touch took him clear and his second was an emphatic finish beyond Daniel Vukovic.

In fairness, the 24-year-old's attacking ability has never been in question, it's at the other end of the field where his problems have been. Moreno will leave Anfield this summer – three years after he arrived from Sevilla in a £12million deal.

In truth his Liverpool career was effectively over after that horror show in the Europa League final last May. The only senior left-back in Klopp's squad started just two Premier League games all season as the manager played James Milner there instead.

With a left-back high on Klopp's summer shopping list, Moreno is now surplus to requirements. Bizarrely, he spent the early stages of the second half against Sydney on the right wing before making way on the hour for Connor Randall.

By then a raft of subs had dented the Reds' momentum and Sydney were incapable of launching a fightback.

A Mexican wave was sweeping around the stadium and fans were getting more excited about paper planes landing on the pitch than the action itself. Young guns take huge strides.

What a season it's been for Jurgen Klopp's young guns. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ben Woodburn, Harry Wilson and Rhian Brewster were all involved against Sydney and they can look back on the past 10 months with immense pride.

It was the realisation of a dream Down Under for Alexander-Arnold, who got the chance to play alongside his boyhood hero Gerrard. Now the 18-year-old from West Derby is following in his footsteps.

Alexander-Arnold clocked up a dozen senior appearances in 2016/17, including a full league debut at Old Trafford and his first Merseyside derby.

Deservedly crowned the club's Young Player of the Year, he's such an exciting talent – strong and reliable defensively and a threat every time he ventures forward.

Woodburn, who became the youngest goal scorer in Liverpool's history with that strike in front of the Kop against Leeds, hasn't been used as frequently by Klopp but his potential is immense.

The 17-year-old was the pick of the youngsters against Sydney as his close control and balance bamboozled defenders. One mazy run nearly delivered an exquisite individual goal late on but he couldn't provide the finish.

Wilson has a platform to build on after bursting into the senior ranks courtesy of his weight of goals for the under-23s, while Brewster has made major strides forward and is destined to feature in 2017/18. Tough journey ahead for Karius.

You have to feel for Loris Karius. The young German keeper finally got the opportunity to showcase his talents in Sydney after four months of sustained bench warming.

However, he could have spent the first half sat in the makeshift Kop behind his goal such was Liverpool's dominance. Karius didn't have a serious save to make during his 75 minutes of action.

Within moments of Simon Mignolet replacing him late on, the Reds No 1 was left exposed and pulled off two smart stops to deny Chris Zuvela and then Matthew Simon.

It's been a tough first year for Karius at Anfield. A broken hand wrecked his pre-season after that £4.7million move from Mainz and then when he got his chance in September he squandered it.

He found the pressure and expectation of life at Liverpool too much to handle. His crisis of confidence cost the Reds dear and since Mignolet was handed a recall in December, Karius hasn't had a look in.

Mignolet's resurgence was one of the stories of the season but the fact he had genuine competition for the first time in his Reds career undoubtedly helped keep standards up.

Karius is only 23 and will come again. But he has a real fight on his hands with Mignolet now such a model of consistency.
