is not Lia Lavon. My name is Talia.
My real name is Talia but I just split
it in half.
LaVon is my middle name. My first name is
Talia. So I just split the Ta. I just
got rid of that and I have Lia LaVon. I
just needed something creative. I've
always loved my name and I thought it
was unique. Like Talia. I didn't know that
many people named Talia. But now I'm
starting to meet people named Talia and I'm
like man I ain't even that unique no more. Like
I know I can't never find my name on the
keychains or the refrigerator magnets or all
that. But I aint' want nobody to have
my name. I wanted to have to Talia. So my
name is Talia. In high school I was voted. I
got my little yearbook right here.
I always voted friendliest. That was my
superlative and I think that kind of
describes who I am in kind of a nutshell.
Like I was the friendliest person in
high school and that's how I am in
real life. Like I'm genuinely. I love people.
I love interacting with people. I love
being myself. I showed you my
yearbook quickly because I was like not.
I wasn't voted most cutest in
high school because I wasn't you know
that cute. That was like a little picture of
me. Ya'll aint need to spend that much time on seeing
how I looked. But yeah I wasn't you
know. I wasn't the most popular kid in
high school but then again I wasn't.
The way I describe myself perfectly is
if anybody has watched 13 reasons Why
that Clay character. Like Clay for some
reason he was like such a nerd but
everybody at school loved him. Like
everybody at school knew him. They like Hey
Clay. Hey Clay. Hey Clay. That's how I was. I'm
like the. You know people knew me. I was
part of sports. I did track and volleyball
in high school but also I was a nerd.
I was in like AP honors classes so I was
you know all over the place. But I was
very friendly to everybody. I was friends
with the cool people and I was friends
with the nerds because that's the people
I had classes with. That's about me and
like high school. At college I went to
North Carolina State University. Love my
alma mater. Love that school. Met some
of the most incredible people. Best
friend who is the whole reason I have a
channel. Hey girl. I met there and it's you
know incredible people. So I graduated
from North Carolina State University. I
am from North Carolina. Born and raised
in North Carolina. Always been in North
Carolina and never lived anywhere else as
soon as I graduated I wanted to stay in
Raleigh because all my friends were in
Raleigh. But I couldn't cause the jobs
weren't in Raliegh. I didn't. I applied for
jobs everywhere Charlotte called me. I
came to Charlotte and I started working
almost like a month after I graduated.
I had like a month break but I have my
offer before I graduated high college. So
I moved to Charlotte. I live in Charlotte.
I work Uptown Charlotte. So we have a..
We don't call it downtown like most cities.
Charlotte got to be the Queen City got
to be different got to be unique. But we
are a growing city in a metropolitan
area and a lot of youtubers I've seen
are from the Charlotte area. So I'm like
glad that Charlotte's getting on the map.
But I live in Charlotte don't live
uptown cause the prices are ridiculous.
But I live on the outskirts of Charlotte
with my roommate. I have a dog she
is a Pomeranian. Do I need to introduce
her on camera?
Let me introduce her. I'll be right back
and get her. I know she looks like rough
right now. So this is this is her. She's
confused she won't look at the camera.
She doesn't acknowledge. She's a Beyonce
of dogs she doesn't acknowledge
presences and things like that. But she
is here. She is a Pomeranian and she is
13 years old. So she's not a young dog. I
don't showcase her on camera as I should
but she is a part of my. She's my baby. So
kind of what drove me to kind of start
my channel is my crochet hair series. If
you guys are familiar you guys know I
had a crochet hair, I loved it and I was
like okay well I'm going just going to do this
crochet hair thing. I've gone almost a
year without putting heat in my head. The
last time I put heat in my head was
January 7th, 2016. I'm coming up on my year
now. My channel isn't just focused on
crochet hair. My channel is also focused
on you know makeup stuff, getting to do
me stuff, advice to small youtubers.
Anything you could think of. I try to be
all-encompassing and give everybody
answers to questions about me, about hair,
about anything they have questions about.
So yeah I started this channel like I
said to kind of as an outlet for my hair
and to talk about that but also. Also
to let you in on my life a little bit at
the time I started I did start it for
fun and all that but I was coming out of
kind of a toxic situation and I know in
our 20s we probably all go through like
a toxic situation. So many people have
videos out there talking about their
toxic situation. So I was like I'm never
probably going to make a video because
we've all been through it girl. Like so I
was coming out of that and I used this as
an outlet to not focus on the situation.
To focus on you know having fun with
editing videos. Like I don't have time to
deal with foolishness because I'm editing stuff. Like
I don't have time for this. And luckily
in like the end of 2016 I was able to
break free of said situation. Thank You. And I entered
2017 with like a brand new outlook and a
brand new space. Like my head was so
clear and this channel has really helped
me stay like positive. Stay focused. I mean
I know I get negative comments probably
a lot but way more positive comments in
my comment section. So many comments in
my section about how much I look like I
Amina Buttafly. And every time I address
it I'm like I do look like her and I
be like I'm not as foolish as her. But I
was like girl you been. You ain't been
Amina foolish. You ain't been Tara foolish.
But we all been a little dumb. We done fell
for some shenanigans at some point. So
every time someone says it I just laugh.
I'm like oh my god Amina. Why do I look
like. Why do I get so many comments that
they I remind them of Amina.
Sometimes I'm like is it the lisp. Like
we both have. We we both hold and form
our mouth the same way. If you guys
aren't familiar with Amina Buttafuly
she's a character on Love and Hip-Hop. Um
a character, no actress, a star I guess
you would call her on Love & Hip-Hop. But yeah I.
also get a lot of comments that I look
like Meredith's Sister on Grey's Anatomy. I
can't remember her name right now. It's escaping me.
I should have looked it up before. Is it like I
can't think of her name the black sister
not Lexie. If you're not familiar with
Grey's Anatomy she's like the mixed sister
of Meredith Grey the main character.
I get a lot of comments that I remind
them of her too. I think it's also we. I
think all three of us hold our mouth and
speak in the same way. So I see where
y'all coming from. I see. It's not that we
totally look like. It's that we like form
our words in the same way. And that's
another reason I was scared to come on
camera because I do have kind of a lisp.
And sometimes it comes out and sometimes
it doesn't. And my friends were like I didn't
even know you had a lisp. I'm like man watch
my videos. Y'all see I got a lisp. So yeah
that's a thing about me. It was an insecurity of
mine so I was like I don't want to
record videos. Come on here. I just
wanted to make a quick video to announce
my giveaway winners but also address
somebody said they wanted to get to know
me and I thought that was awesome. If
you guys have any questions for me leave
them down below. I didn't know
what to record in this get to know me video.
I was like what do people actually want
to know about me. Um so I just kind of
made it broad and all that. You guys know
I'm not like that fancy youtuber out
there. I'm somebody who records on her
steps so my background is free. My camera
was like 260 dollars so the quality ain't
that good. I used the sunlight because
right behind me is the window and I
open my door so you're seeing probably
sunlight from those two angles. I'm not
out here the fancy you know Youtuber.

June 2017 Bullet Journal Monthly Set Up | Plan with Me - Duration: 5:47.
Hello everyone!
I'm Yu and today I'm making my June monthly spread.
I'm first doing the calendar and then I'll do the cover page.
Right now I'm writing the title and I'm trying to copy a font called Bebas
and the pen I'm using is a muji gel pen in 0.5 (the black one is 0.38)
So now I'm making the calendar and it's really simple.
There is a thick line and then I wrote the week names,
and the I did a grid.
I usually make the grid bigger but as it's summer now and I don't have as many events as before
I just decided to do a 3x3 one.
I decided to add some plant themed doodles using a stabilo point 88 (pen)
and then I added some sparkles using a light blue Zebra Sarasa milk colour gel pen.
I have some reccuring events, so I decided to highlight those days using the Zebra mildliners.
I noticed too late that the colours were too similiar
so I used a darker colour to do a second coat.
The corner of the page kept curling so I put a clip from Sweeter than Pi.
Now I'm doing the habits tracker and it's a mini version
because the normal one doesn't work for me.
I'll insert a little clip to explain how the tracking works even if the boxes are so small.
It's actually really easy to track your water intake just using a little box.
If I, for example, drink two cups of water I'll make two lines.
If I drink eight, I'll make eight lines.
And, If I drink even more, I can make lines in the other direction too.
I decided to fill up the empty space using a quote from Confucius.
And It says: "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop".
I find it really inspiring.
So, now I'm adding even more doodles and I decided to sketch it out first and then do the line art.
This page is finished!
It took me almost one hour.
Usually I'm faster but It's really hard to film and do the spread at the same time.
Anyway, now I'm just sketching out the cover and I've settled down with a hanging plant
and a lettering.
I decided to color the square with watercolours.
You can actually use watercolours in your bullet journal,
you just have to pay attention to how much water you're using.
And expect some wavy pages.
To flatten the page you can put your bullet journal under some weights when you're finished.
Also, you have to remember to let it dry before writing anything above it.
To write June I used a crayola supertip marker, and to lighten the colour at the bottom I
used a transparent white gel pen that is the Zebra sarasa milk colour one.
And then I used a more opaque one that is the Sigma angelic pen, I used it to highlight.
I also used a dark pen to do the shadow at the right side.
And... It's finished!
It took me about 1 hour and 20 minutes to do everything but I think it was worth it
because I love how it turned out.
I just love anything with plants on it basically.

which is I think its different for every country, but basically everything is 10% off here
so I've been waiting for the sale because I've been wanting to get drawers for all of my makeup, so let's go inside and see what they have!
Here it is everybody, I think I'm gonna pick up like 6 of this
because this is 10% off and on top of that its an extra 10% off
so let's get started
I'm back home now, and I actually picked up a lot of stuff from Muji
but they're all for my makeup, because I wanted to organize them in a very nice minimal way
so what is this is basically the clear acrylic drawers
and I showed you guys when I was at the store, so I'm not gonna open this up
but I think I might share an updated makeup organization
like, like video in the future, because
I do wanna transfer all of my makeup to these drawers
So I picked up 7 of these and I picked up an extra ones for my jewelry
so 6 for my makeup and 1 for my jewelry
and for my jewelry I also picked up this
so that it organizes like my earrings, bracelets, and necklaces
and I don't know what these are called
like the cases, yeah case
So that's everything that I picked up from Muji
Its still very expensive
but I wanted to upgrade from my daiso drawers
because um they're great and all and cheaper, I think they were 5000 won each
but um it barely fits my blushes and eyeshadows
so um I'm really excited to transfer everything onto these um
these drawers
I also had 3 packages waiting for me and first we have this one right here

I've been noticing whenever I record a videos
because I try to do them in one take
I'm not very good with editing
and I gotta learn how to do that (Which I am right now)
but if I do it by sections
It's going to be obvious *when* I'm pressing the button
So I'm going to figure out how to do all that out
Eventually, figuring out the lighting source as well
cause right now the lighting source is really akward
and it makes me look like a pale vampire *I want to such teh bloods*
Which is not very ideal, when your infront of a camera
Not prenouncing stuff right (Hence, why I'm doing subtitles) and completely forgetting a word, That's so simple

We're looking to make this a healthy
campus, and have a balance in terms of
physical activity and mental activity
outside of academics. I think it's really
important for students
So after you get your foot in here, please get involved in
club activity or volunteer role, because
you will find these will be the things
you'll really really remember about
your time here at UTSC
So be prepared for change,
but don't give up on those high dreams
that you have. It might just be a
different color from what you thought
they were going to be. And definitely get
the sweatshirt because it'll be really
impressive when you go back to your old high school
It's not such a thing that
things are going to be tough, and
that you're not going to find a place here.
But UTSC is
the kind of place that fosters a
wonderful home for all of its students
both local and international
Fear not, you'll be a part of the family just
as much as everyone else
As you're packing up on your last day to leave residence,
you turn around to a group of people
that you've been living with and
studying with beside you for the last
four years. And you turn around into that
moment you recognize that you have made
friends that you will have for the rest
of your life. And you turn around as
you're about to leave and you tell them
you love them. And they're going to be
there for you again when you get back
