Should I time my Meditation?
Once I close eyes, can't track time.
Practice makes you a master of time even during meditation.
An alarm clock would help initially.
Soon, you can master the time.
It will become a habit over time.
You too can succeed.
During initial days, participate in group meditation
to get into a rhythym.
Brain can be trained using an internal clock.
Time the characteristic of the primordial force.
You can access it with your mind.
Meditate
for 20 minutes at a time to get into a successful practice.
Be blessed by the divine, Krish Murali Eswar.

Natural Medicine Can Be Ableist | #SpinaBifida - Duration: 2:19.
(pop)
Most of the problem that I find with the
"Natural Medicine" mindset people have
can also be found in my "Can Veganism Be Ableist" video.
I'll link it so you can check it out.
Being Latinx, I grew up with a lot of natural remedies
to heal ailments.
Got a sore throat? Gargle some salt water.
Feeling mucus build up in your throat?
Take a shot of lemon, garlic and honey.
Before I become allergic to aloe vera,
I used it to sooth my burns.
There are a lot of natural remedies that can help your body.
A lot of them I still use and I'm still looking for new ones everyday.
For example my boyfriend introduced me to
elderberries and the immune system boost that they give.
When I say that natural medicine can be ableist,
I mean the mindset people tend to have
when they subscribe to natural medicine.
I've gone to many natural stores,
and when they notice my limp or
I mention in conversation that I'm disabled.
I'm met with:
"Oh this could cure your disability."
Or I see others in my disabled community
experience people who only use natural medicine,
critique my friends harshly because they use pharmaceutical medicine.
Let me tell you, natural medicine does not cure disability.
Disability once again does not work like that.
Disability isn't a bad thing, and it doesn't necessarily need to be fixed.
And for the people who are angry at the
big pharmaceutical companies, I feel you.
I know first hand how messed up the medical industry is.
They only care about money and not the people who
actually need help.
But trust me, a lot of disabled people have tried natural
ways to manage their pain.
And to manage anything that may come from their disability.
A lot of natural medicine doesn't help us,
and we find that medicine coming from doctors
and pharmaceutical companies do.
Are we happy we're putting chemicals in our bodies?
Not really, but that kind of medicine has been helping us
more than any plant could.
And that's not to say that we haven't found
any natural medicines that have helped with our disability.
But most of the time, it's not enough.
I think natural medicine is great to help heal common things.
And to improve overall health.
But it's ableist to say that it can cure a disability.
And it's ableist to shame a disabled person
who has most likely tried the natural route
for using pharmaceutical meds.
Natural medicine isn't bad.
What's bad is the mindset that it can fix disabled people.
That's all I have for you, if you like this video
and wanna help support me all the links for that
will be in the description below.
bye!

You Can Do Great Things! - Duration: 1:44.
What up?! This is Pastor Drew!
And I have a pretty cool lesson for you today.
So, prepare to have your minds blown.
Okay! Are you ready? Are you ready?
This is you.
You are right here.
You are this little two cent match.
Okay, your full of potential!
Right? You were made; millions of you made at a time.
Because that's how we are! We are just one in a million humans on the Earth.
And you have this ability,
to shine a glorious light for Jesus!
To show others the amazing blessings that can come from living for God.
But, if we choose to not find God,
if we chose to live without God
we're just... there.
We're just existing, we're just another useless match.
And whenever we're gone,
What's left?
Nothing.
We haven't shined any light; we haven't made an impact.
We're just another match laying on the ground.
So, this is you.
BUT
If you find God...
You can be something beautiful, shining a light for Jesus!
And when Satan finds you he will do his best to make that light go away.
Right? But!
GOD NEVER FAILS
And even when Satan tries to make that light go away...
Jesus will always bring you back.
So,
This has been Pastor Drew.
And remember,
You have a great and mighty potential!
No matter who you are, where you've been, or what you've done...
God loves you!
And your not just a useless match.
You can do great things,
Before you're gone.
Love you guys!

Threshold batting monitoring system for cricketers - Duration: 3:01.
Hi I'm Vignesh. I'm the Founder & CEO of our startup SAMSAS.
I'm Sreeram. I'm the chief operating officer of team SAMSAS.
Oh Hi. I'm Senthil from team SAMSAS. I'm the tech guy and Chief Technical Officer.
Hi I'm Prakash. I'm the Software Developer of SAMSAS.
Oh Hi. I'm Vignesh. I'm the guy who plays with tables. I'm the Data Analyst of SAMSAS.
So we are here to present our demo.
This is the prototype that we have developed.
We are using this to improve the efficiency of the batsman.
We have used an Arduino 101 microcontroller that has an built-in Intel Curie Module that is used for IMU(Inertial Motion Unit) data anlaysis.
Over to our coach Vigneshwar.
Hi I'm Vigneshwar and G.Vignesh has approached me with his project.
This project has helped me in many ways.
This shows whether the ball is edged or middled and it also shows the angular positions of the bat.
Using this I can easily train batsman present here by analyzing each and every batsman's parameters.
The batsman over there is going to play some shots.
We have incorporated sensor in the bat and the data is viewed in this smart phone.
So lets get started.!!!
The batsman is padded up and is ready to go.!
We are here measuring the Force and acceleration parameters.
The acceleration values are displayed in a graph and the Force is displayed in a Gauge.
Using the acceleration and deceleration of the sensor values we can identify
whether the ball has been middled or not.
The batsman has played a perfect shot and it is represented in the graph with a higher amount of amplitude peak.
During this shot we can see a comparatively smaller amplitude peak indicating the ball has been edged.
So these data can be collected and stored in cloud. And after the training session
the batsman or the coach can visualize the performance of the batsman.
by measuring how many shots he has played out of which how many were middled.
So we are also measuring the angular positions of the bat.
Combining all the parameters such as Force, acceleration & angular positions of the bat the coach or the player can train himself.!!!

Artful Medicine: Art's Power to Enrich Patient Care | BrownX on edX | Course About Video - Duration: 1:39.
What do you see?
What you think the physician is thinking?
What is this making you feel?
Believe it or not, my work as a doctor
has been very much influenced by works
of art just like this one.
Here at Brown University, we foster this kind
of interdisciplinary learning.
And during my time at Brown's Warren Alpert Medical School,
I've been fortunate enough to partner
with some profoundly inspiring doctors, medical students,
artists, and educators to consider
how art can inform one of the biggest
challenges in patient care--
how can doctors best treat patients as people?
In this BrownX experience, we'll explore practices
to promote healing relationships between the practitioner
and the patient.
No matter what your profession, we all
give and receive care at different points in our lives.
By looking at a variety of works of art,
we'll seek to understand how art and the humanities
can inform the caregiving process
and to find our own meaning in art.
I'm excited to share my experiences
in this subject with you.
But I'm even more curious to learn from your experiences
and perspectives.
My name is Fred Schiffman.
I'm the Sigal Family Professor of Humanistic Medicine
at Brown University.
Join me in exploring how art can enrich patient care.

After you use the towels to dry your tears after seeing your first paycheck
could you please hang them up to conserve water?
Besides, you'll never be able to afford the water bill anyways.
The continental breakfast will serve as a nice reminder that you'll never travel abroad.

Natural "Drugs" That Pharmaceutical Companies Can't Replicate - Dr. Patrick Quillin - Duration: 4:35.
Dr. Quillin: Think about this.
What you have is these beautiful, dark cherries, and they're sweet, aren't they?
Ty Bollinger: Delicious.
Dr. Quillin: And what nature is saying is, "Alright.
What I've got is some sugar here, and the fungus living around
us in the trillions wants to eat this."
And so the plant has to create its own protection.
It creates a substance called phytoalexins, and that is,
one of those is resveratrol.
People have heard about it in red grapes.
Grapes are another thing.
So the sweet thing in the grape has to protect itself.
So if a fungus lands on this, and it eats that phytoalexin, it dies.
It's sort of its own, it's a pre-drug, essentially.
The drug companies can't duplicate this stuff.
And that's the beauty of what we've got here, is that you cannot patent a natural
substance.
And that's why the 280 billion dollar a year drug industry
can't come up with something as effective as this.
Phytoalexins, in red and green fruits and vegetables, have been shown to be anti-cancer
the same way that they protect the plant against fungus.
Moving on here, we've got another.
This is another Surinam cherry of a different color.
This is mangoes.
These are green and small right now, but they're going to get to be the size of a
baseball or bigger.
And what you have is, there's at least 8,000 different carotenoids, at least 20,000
different bioflavonoids, in fruits and vegetables.
And they find that these things are extraordinary as anti-aging, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory.
There's what?
Twelve million Americans who are on the Vioxx, Celebrex drugs.
They have chronic inflammation, chronic pain.
Eat more fruits and vegetables.
As a matter of fact, there's a group, if you look them up, NORI, on the web.
Nutrition Oncology Research Institute.
They recommend nothing but fruit to cure cancer, a whole-fruit diet.
Now I'm not sure that I go on that enthusiastic, but I
am clearly on board with them when you talk about the
biochemical, scientific reasons why fruit and vegetables are going to slow down cancer.
These are Golden Dorsett apples.
Apples, if you look at it and do a little analysis of it, you find not much
vitamin C and yet, the ORAC score is higher than vitamin C, because it's a combination
of all of these substances that are in the apple.
Moving on over here.
Here we go.
Mulberries.
These are Oscar mulberries.
Ty Bollinger: Now this one wasn't ripe last year.
Dr. Quillin: You're right.
You came at a different time of the year.
So dark purple is going to have this rich mixture
of phytochemicals, bioflavonoids, carotenoids.
The medicinal value is beyond argument.
Ty Bollinger: Oh my goodness.
That's ridiculously sweet.
Dr. Quillin: Delicious.
And this is why I'm saying, we're not denying ourselves, people.
People think, "If I can't have my Twinkies and Coke every day."
No, this stuff is delicious, and once you develop an appetite for
it, what's fascinating is, the human tongue has got four sensors - sour, sweet, salt and bitter.
That sweet is for fruit.
The earliest food of humans was fruit, eggs and insects.
I'm not telling you you have to eat insects, but eggs and fruit are
good, and the sweetness is to make fruit taste good and feel
good in our body.
And then what the food manufacturers have done is said, "We're going to create all
of these substitute sugars," which are not good for you, and
now we're eating 140 pounds per year of refined white sugar,
which is killing us.
Obesity, diabetes, depression, heart disease, cancer, among other diseases that
come with refined sugar.
This is a different sugar.
What you find is, if you take the fructose and other natural sugars that are in
the matrix.
Matrix means mother in Latin.
And literally, here's this sugar sitting in the middle of this cell
membrane, and it's got all these phytochemicals around it, and fiber, and it works.
And if you take a different sugar, and take all the matrix away, which is white sugar,
corn syrup, now it's killing people instead of healing people.
Ty Bollinger: I'm glad you picked that, because I was about to pick another one.
Ridiculously sweet.

How Triathletes Can Clean a Bike In Five Minutes - Duration: 8:24.
- Big ass garden hose thingamajig.
(swoosh)
Inception right?
(swoosh)
got to put my runners on, so I can run.
(swoosh)
Good morning, trainiacs and Pete and Grace.
Sorry to wake you guys up.
Oh, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow.
Okay, I got to put my shoes on.
Got to put my runners on, so I can run.
I know you like running, you ran a lot yesterday.
As you may have heard from the last four seconds,
I am heading out for a run.
Usual Sunday run day,
with the usual gang, Coach Pat and the crew.
Followed by pancakes, waffles,
maybe a smoothie perhaps, likely.
I'm gonna save you a little bit of jibber jabber
because I know what you all came here for
was a very quick and easy way to clean your bike.
So, let's go running.
Okay, before we go, got to show you this.
Valiant effort being put up by you guys.
The old camera set up here, death defying.
That's you.
This is me, so brave, so brave.
Alright, now I go.
(mellow music)
You got those legs softened up?
Good, that's what I like to hear.
(mellow music)
(laughing)
- They can pick which Chuck-E-Cheese we go to.
(mellow music)
- Oh, you're looking good for halfway through the run.
- Oh yeah, yeah. - Yeah.
- As long that train comes around, I'm good.
- At least the award for most color coordinated runner,
goes to Jer.
- Flamboyant robocop, that's what I was going for today.
- Nailed it.
16.1 K in 4:23, Nicole.
- 4:23 pace?
- 4:23 pace.
I need three days to recover.
(mellow music)
Alright, yesterday I promised you
that I would tell you how to clean a bike in five minutes.
That might be a little optimistic,
but I'm gonna tell you how to clean a bike
really, really quickly.
Before you start, here's what you need.
You don't need this big ass garden hose thingamajig,
just any sort of garden hose
with any sort of sprayer is good.
You need a bucket, a little bit of dish soap.
Fill the bucket with dish soap and water, bam!
(water spraying)
You need a sponge for said bucket
full of dish soap and water.
Some degreaser, park tool chain cleaner,
a little bit of lube.
Park tool chain cleaner should come with this little brush
and then a whole bunch of rags.
So, we are going to put you right there.
(dog barking)
Dog emergency, hang on, hey.
Alright, crisis adverted.
But you are still just filthy.
Oh, you need some clothes
that you are totally cool with getting filthy
and then you clean a bike.
We're gonna set the timer on here
and we're gonna see how long it takes.
Keep in mind
that I'm going to be moving around the GoPro as we go.
GoPro as we go.
Three, two, one, start.
Number one, you want to start with the chain
because we're going to get all the grime
off of that chain and it's going to go everywhere
and we'll clean it up after it goes everywhere.
Start by about 50 rotations of the chain.
Man, the chain is clean.
Flip the bike over, give it a quick hit with water
and then take your wheels off.
You take the wheels off
so we can get to the rest of the bike
and we give the wheels just a quick cleaning
all the way around.
Oh, you're really tight.
Phew, who put that on?
Wheel number two, the rear wheel.
This is where things get a little more complicated.
But now we gotta clean off this.
How you do that, old bike shop trick,
and pour it along the edge of one of your rags.
You work the rag into all the little cogs
and go one by one,
kinda like flossing your cogs.
Now take your little scrubby brush,
just knock out that last little bit of grime.
Hit it with a little bit of water,
make all that grease go away.
(water spraying)
How sparkling is that?
And you go ahead and clean the bike,
top to bottom with a scrub brush.
Then hit it with the hose.
(water spraying)
throw the wheels back on.
And just for shoots,
if you want to give it one last cleaning,
when it's propped up nicely like this,
it's not the worst idea.
(water spraying)
We aren't quite done yet.
We gotta still give that chain a little bit of lovin'.
Dry off the chain.
And the very, very last thing before we're done,
is to take some good wet lube,
spin it through all the gears.
There we go, that's it.
We are at 13:59:70 and that includes messing around
with the GoPro a whole bunch.
So, in 14 minutes, you can have yourself a nice bike.
There's no reason not to do this every couple of weeks.
It'll make your bike faster,
make it last longer.
You'll enjoy training a lot more
because it feels faster and it looks really slick.
Now I gotta go put this whole mess away.
I wonder how long that'll take?
Gonna head to the office
and I think it's Facebook live day today, yeah.
Facebook live Q and A, we'll do that.
Alright, we're gonna do a Sunday evening Facebook live.
A couple of weeks ago, I promised that I'd do more of these
and I haven't been very good at that,
so we're gonna do one right now.
I think I've got a good format going
because there are a lot of questions
in the YouTube comments.
By the way, love your questions in the comments,
ask more of them.
But, I have a hard time typing out long repsonses
to some of these.
So, Facebook live, check this out.
YouTube questions, Facebook live.
So now, I can all of a sudden get to these questions
on Facebook live.
Three, two, one.
Hey, what's up trainiacs?
This is Taren, I know that a couple of weeks ago,
I promised that I would be doing--
a fun little note for you,
we are also filming tomorrow's vlog
of Triathlon Taren as we speak, look at that.
That's you, that's the vlog.
You, you, you, you.
Inception right?
Yeah, that's right.
Hey, there we go, we got comments.
Michael Boona, hi.
It's because the sprint distances races
took out a lot of the variables of nutrition.
Ryan, why is the USA so much better at sports than Canada?
Number one, you have ten times more people.
Number two, you have twice as long as you can be outside.
Number three, you have bazillion dollars more money
going into your sports.
'Kay, that's it.
I'm gonna wrap it up, I gotta get home to Kim.
Thank you all for tuning in.
Thank you, vlog, later trainiacs.

Synchronicities Explained Can You Identify Meaningful 'Coincidences' In Your Life - Duration: 8:06.
Synchronicities Explained Can You Identify Meaningful Coincidences In Your Life
By consciousreminder
How can you identify synchronicities in life?
Lets get started with the basics; why do they occur, what are its types, how to recognize
synchronicities.
Lucky coincidences happen quite frequently.
You mightve had a particularly striking coincidence that you still remember because,
well, it doesnt happen every day!
While it is commonly attributed to luck, destiny, fortune, or some preordained balance of nature,
it may not necessarily be so.
Carl Jung coined the concept of Synchronicity back in the 1920s that will help you understand
why coincidences happen and the role they can play in defining your life!
A Synchronicity is defined as a meaningful coincidence that occurs as a result of the
combination of internal and external events, which cannot be explained via the cause-and-effect
relationship.
You were thinking about something and, before you know it, it materializes in front of you!
Is it just a happy coincidence?
Probably not!
Identifying Synchronicity
Synchronicity exists everywhere!
It is just a matter of being able to recognize it when it happens.
Generally, it is believed that when you are open and responsive to the spirits of the
universe, you get to experience out-of-this-world synchronicities, channeling your worries towards
a productive, presumably predestined end.
It is like a moment of enlightenment, an event that changes your life forever!
At times, the synchronicities may be smaller, less impactful.
At others, it can define the purpose of your life-long journey!
When Do They Occur?
Before we get down to a few examples to explain synchronicities, lets figure out how and
when you are open and responsive to the spirits of the universe.
There are two moments when we reach the apex of consciousness and openness in life.
Special events like births, deaths, crises, escapes, love-related adventures, and travel
can get you closer to yourself and your spiritual realities.
But these arent the only times when synchronicities occur.
Everyday mundane activities like shopping, commuting and others may also present some
value synchronicities to you.
Remember the time you had that particularly painful fight with your loved one and you
were so heartbroken that all the love songs seemed to be about you?
Or the time when you picked up a baby and it instantly smiled at you, as though reassuring
you about the big decision you are about to make?
Well, it is all a part and parcel of synchronicity as long as you are able to deduce a meaningful
conclusion from it.
At times, you are consciously (or subconsciously to be more appropriate) looking for signs
from the universe.
Sometimes you receives these when you least expect them.
Synchronicity may lead you to a sliver of hope and confidence, or get you connected
with the one who is meant to be.
It works wonders for you if you can give it its due share of recognition!
The Types of Synchronicities
Over the years, the information and experiences about synchronicities led to the identification
of three broad categories.
While it is difficult to suggest which of these might have a profound impact on your
life, it nevertheless pays to understand these so you can identify these life-changing moments
when they occur!
I. Single Synchronicities
They are usually those standalone meaningful coincidences that are enlightening on their
own.
It is like meeting an old friend during your morning walk one day, the same one you were
thinking about the day before for whatever reason.
Or the time when you picked up the phone to call up a relative, only to hear his/her voice
at the other end.
Or to find that your best friend just bought you a gift, the same one youve been trying
to get your hands on for quite some time now.
They are all individual events that are pleasantly meaningful or connected.
II.
Strings of Synchronicities
It is when a string of occurrences happen back-to-back, reinforcing a certain belief.
You were thinking about the good old days when the radio started playing a tasteful
tune from the same era.
You remember a particular person, and the next thing you know, s/he is standing right
in front of you at the grocery store!
Youre probably dumbstruck, because you heard a similar name in the morning broadcast.
Too much coincidence to handle?
Blame it on the string of synchronicities!
III.
Clusters of Synchronicities
It gets a little more complex as it progresses.
Lets consider the same example above but now with a twist.
You just got out of a bad relationship, and it somehow led to the good old days.
You remember how youve had had a crush on that particular person youre reminded
of because of the radio.
The morning newspaper has his/her name.
You bump into him/her all of a sudden while shopping for groceries, and s/he invites you
to a lunch.
You find out that the special person is still single, and somehow seems to remember the
same things you do.
While you try to convince yourself its just a random coincidence, the person voices
his/her interest in meeting up again.
And while youre relishing in your good luck, s/he says something that reminds you
what your parents always said about finding the right person at the right time.
There you go, that is what we call clusters of synchronicities because, frankly, theyre
too many to handle!
