Wassup [God's voice, Depression, Knowing your calling]
[God's voice, Depression, Knowing your calling]
Hold on a sec [God's voice, Depression, Knowing your calling]
[God's voice, Depression, Knowing your calling]
I'm gonna put some pillows down here
'Cos, mate, the place I've put the camera
It's running a serious risk of falling and breaking
I'm gonna take a photo and post it on Instagram Stories
For you to see how it is
You won't believe it
This Gorilla Tripod is a miracle maker
It has to be a believer
I'm in Scotland right now and I'm not filming vlogs
But I'm posting Stories, Instories
How do they call that Instagram thing, I don't know
On Instagram, so, if you don't follow me on Instagram
Follow me, I'm going to a very cool place in Scotland today
It will be good, it will be beautiful
Every day, every video
I tell you this is every Monday's video, out at 11.30am
Uploaded every Monday, 11.30 am
And there's another one every Thursday, 11.30am
I always say this, because I hate notifications, mate
I hate them, that's why I never tell people to click the bell
My phone has zero notifications
When I download an app, first thing is no, no notifications
[he means "no notifications!"]
No, no notifications, I don't like them
My phone is absolutely silent
It vibrates at most, nothing else
No other sound, ringing, notification
Absolute peace
Like a monastery
Do you like WhatsApp? I don't like WhatsApp
I like it when people call me
"Hi Luca, you alright?" "All right"
"U there 2nite?" "No I'm not" "K"
"Hi Luca, u running 2day?" "I am"
"But it's raining" "I'm going anyway"
And that's the reason I have this cold
Because I went running in the rain, 11°C
Wearing a t-shirt
Awfully cold
Satan's fan was blowing
It wasn't that cold, but the wind was freezing, so
Don't tell my grandma, she'll be mad at me
But that's not what today's video is all about
Today's video is about a few questions
I was asked on Twitter
A few personal questions, for me to answer and stuff
The main goal was for you to see that I'm an ordinary person like you
And that God uses ordinary people, which is wonderful
Absolutely wonderful
My favourite book of the Bible is Acts
Because, in the Old Testament, God used prophets, priests, the MVPs
You know?
But in the New Testament, He used the fishermen, the tax collectors
The Corinthians, so, mate, He uses even Corinthians [the supporters of the Brazilian team "Corinthians"]
That's a terrible joke
Anyway, I'm answering your questions now
Here's the deal: there was a lot of questions
So I'm gonna get them from Twitter
And I'll be reading them and answering them like mad
Just saying whatever comes to mind, I haven't even read some of them
And I'm gonna answer whatever comes to mind first
But I've noticed that
Most people asked me "How did you find your calling?"
This was the most asked question
So if you don't end up watching the whole video
You should at least learn this from this video
Because this could actually help you out in life
Here's the deal: if you still don't know what you want to do
Do what you have to do
Why? 'Cos your calling is something now
But it's progressive
God reveals your calling as time goes by
Maybe when you were younger you heard you'd be a missionary
OK, but what kind of missionary?
Where am I going, what am I gonna do?
In which area of society am I gonna work at?
So your calling is developed as you walk in obedience
So, what do I want to do in life? I wanna be a martyr
How am I gonna get to the point of becoming a martyr?
I will develop my calling until I get to the point of dying for Jesus
Until I get there, I have to walk in obedience
I keep doing whatever I have to do
When I first started, I had to do certain things, and I kept going
"Oh, but, Luca, what do I have to do?" You know what you have to do
It's right in front of you, you know your duties
While you don't know what you want
While you don't know your calling
Do your duties
Study, testify of Jesus
Pray, fast, be useful to your local church
Serve your community, serve those around you
Help the young ones, the old ones, help everyone, do what you have to do
Do your Christian duties
And God will develop your calling, and you will find it out, bit by bit, day by day
Your calling will be developed until you realise you're doing exactly what you had to
I had to sit down with Jesus and have a coffee
So, learn this from this video, at least
If you don't know what you should do, do what you have to
Now, back to the questions, there's 243 of them
I'm gonna answer them from the first to the last one
Flavia Queiroz, "What do you think of what people say about you and Beta?" [Roberta Vicente, Brazilian Christian Youtuber and Luca's best girl friend]
Mate, I think it's clear enough from the both of us that we're only good friends
And that's it
Now, people like us
People like us, they're very caring
It's cool, they demonstrate affection
But that doesn't influence our decision
Luisa, "Luca, what's your biggest struggle in seeking God in daily prayers?" [Hi that's me]
My biggest struggle is called Luca Martini
This bum who doesn't want to pray everyday "Go seek God, mate"
Prayer is not pleasure, it's work
You wake up in the morning and maybe you don't wanna work, but you have to
Same thing with prayer, and I'm my own biggest struggle
Being disciplined, you need discipline to pray
Joao Pedro, what's the thing the devil works mostly at to keep you from seeking God?
Emotions, he will always attack your heart
Satan always attacks your emotions, your heart
Your mind, to shift your focus
For you not to accept whatever God says about you
Whatever He says you are and have to be
Because who we actually are is nothing
Dust to dust
But what God is in you is the actual difference in your life
Luisa, "How was your process of starting to love the Bible?"
I've always really liked the Bible
I have this cousin, Danilo, who is an intellectual
So he influenced me a lot in reading the Bible
Because he had read the whole Bible at the age of 13
I was bewildered so I decided to read it too and finished at 18
Joao, "Luca, how are you sure it's God speaking, not your own mind?"
Dude, you can only recognise someone's voice after you've heard it many times
So you end up getting used to it
How could you know it's God? When you obey
Start to obey, start to develop a relationship
Like, when you feel like you should do something
And you don't, you'll never do anything
But if you obey, you end up recognising "Wow, it was God", you know
Gabriel Namorato, "Which YouTube channels you recommend?"
A channel that I recommend, the link will be down here, it's this guy's
He is the mystical comic cosmic myth of Brazilian Christian YouTube
He is a great guy, very wise, very worth the view
Gabriel Namorato
The link is down here, subscribe, it's worth it
What was the hardest thing you had to renounce to keep walking with God?
Mate, the hardest thing was my youth
When God called me I was 18, I was studying, I was at university
There was this question as well, I studied Marketing
I had to leave it, leave my job, my girlfriend, my lifestyle
That was the hardest part
Annie, "Are you ever scared of God's plans?"
"Sometimes I fear I'll never be good enough"
You'll never be good enough
You'll never be good enough, God is good enough in you
But, being scared of God's plans, it hits me sometimes
Sometimes I feel that aaaaaaaaah, but, well, who cares
I'll have Him in the end so I keep going
Isabella, "Have you ever had doubts about being saved?"
Dude, once, I went to a club
And when I got home, I was much younger
I got home, went to bed, then I thought "Mate, what if I sleep"
"Then wake up in hell?"
I thought about it, it was the only time ever I thought I could go to hell
I was completely lost
Sinara, "Before you came to Christ, what was your view of your father's work?"
I've always admired my father
People who went to school with me
Know that I've always talked about him going places, preaching the gospel
I've never been bullied for being a pastor's kid
Even if I was, I never noticed it
I've always loved it, I've always been proud of him, I still am
Joao, "How was your first contact with the Holy Ghost?"
I was 9-years-old, it was a vigil, I started to speak in tongues, it was great
But I didn't believe it, so I wouldn't speak again until after my 20s
Luisa, "Is there anything competing with God in your heart?"
I don't think so, not nowadays, I don't know
And even if something comes up, I'm gonna beat it out
What did Jesus tell you the first time you heard His voice?
I've never heard His audible voice
I've always heard Him speak to my heart
As if He'd written it on your heart
It's something different
You know, and, it's God
It comes to you and you know it, you know it
Hi, Batman "Have you ever felt so empty you had to start all over again with feeling God's presence?"
Yeah, yeah, I had to, oh, mate
There's this question too, "How can you feel God's presence again?"
It's not about feeling His presence, but knowing He's there, my friend
And, from the moment you believe, from the moment you know
Your being opens up to His reality
And you can sense His presence again
You believe, because you can't please God without Faith
God demands your Faith
He wants you to believe He is real and He is here
When I stopped chasing feelings and accepted He is real, He is alive, He Is and that's enough
I started to live a much better life with Christ
Mate, how long have I been filming this? It's getting too long
There's too many questions, guys
Leticia, "How did you begin your calling?"
"I have a calling to evangelise and I'm still afraid of it"
I used not to think much of what I had to do
I used to think of Him for whom I had to do it
So what really pushes me in doing things it's Him
It's Him Himself
So my calling began when I said "Dude, God's called me"
"I'm going anyway, I want Jesus"
Being thankful in your heart
Maria, "Do you ever feel sad, or empty, even though you're a Christian"
"With all your knowledge, do you ever feel saddened?"
Mate, I've learned something
He lives, He Is, and that's enough
I don't deny my reality, but there's a bigger one, which is His
So I can't let myself down because of thoughts
Mate, don't you think I wake up with loads of things trying to bring me down?
But, what, then? I wake up in the morning
This is my daily routine: I wake up in the morning
I turn the Bible on, I hear it, I pray in tongues
Why? Because I want to hear the Word, and I don't just want to learn from it
I want to be the Bible, I want to be a living Bible
So I let the Word in, not for me to know it
But for me to become it
And that's what I want from life
And I won't let emotions stop it
No emotions, no thoughts, no Luca Martini will keep God
From completing the work He has begun
Because, after all, what causes emotions? How can I depend on them?
Now I'm happy, but tomorrow I'm sad
Emotions can't guide my life at all, you know?
Feelings can't guide you, Truth has to guide you
The target, God guides you
What He says, what is Eternal, feelings aren't Eternal
I won't let myself be guided by what isn't Eternal
That's why it's interesting to walk in the Gospel
Because in the Gospel you live to serve others
Just, take a look around you
The only thing that is Eternal in this world
It's the people around you
So what's the point of living to have a car, a house
You have to live to have these people eternally
You know? They are eternal
Dude, there's too many questions, you know I love you
This video is getting too long but I think it's enough
I've answered plenty of questions
I've answered some good questions
Afterwards, leave it down here, in the comments
Some specific topics we could discuss in a whole video, ok?
I'm gonna answer the rest of the questions on Twitter
If you asked something, I'll be there
Whatever I didn't answer here, I'll answer there, ok?
Ok? Ok? Ok?
I love you, God bless you
See see see'ya
